The Best Barbecue Restaurants in Houston Right Now | Eater Houston
"Since opening a decade ago, Killen’s BBQ has made Pearland a barbecue destination, and it’s gone on to open outposts in the Woodlands and Cypress, too. In addition to smoked brisket, house-made sausage, and a massive beef rib, Killen’s has exceptional sides, particularly the creamed corn and potato salad." - Brittany Britto Garley
The Best Restaurants and Bars in The Woodlands | Eater Houston
"Like its acclaimed Pearland counterpart, The Woodlands location of pitmaster Ronnie Killen’s renowned Texas barbecue joint turns out some of the best barbecue in the state. Smoked meats are an obvious signature, including moist brisket, enormous beef ribs, tender turkey, and homemade sausage. Diners can also get their hands on dishes like smoked chicken wings, chicken fried steak, and pork belly burnt ends. Sides of creamed corn, mac and cheese, and baked beans (plus the brioche bread pudding for dessert) help create a belt-busting meal." - Laura L. Green

"Houston’s quintessential barbecue joint, Killen’s, offers a fatty, juicy slab of beef rib that must be hard to photograph when its falling off the bone, but somehow patrons manage to do it. Trek out to Pearland for this must-have goodness." - Nadia Gire
Unlike the other existing brick and mortar locations this airport is unrecognizable when compared. The food was horrible and the staff was disengaged, disinterested, and void of the minimum required customer service. This is not a good representation of the Killen brand.

This place was packed so I thought I'd give it a try. Service was ok. Food tasted ok but definitely not worth the price I paid and it was cold.
Overall it wasn't good enough for me to come back next time I'm at Houston airport.

I thought the brisket potato was fantastic. And the staff went the extra mile.

Really disappointed, don’t waste your time energy and money, the staff are extremely slow, worst coffee ever, like water , the tortillas for the tacos was so cold and hard, we waited for 45 minutes, a lot of workers in that place for nothing, this business need to train and be more careful who they hired.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎we end up throwing away our “breakfast “👎👎👎

Other than them being out of several menu items, the woman running the register was insanely rude. She was swearing at a man pushing a wheelchair in front of children and continued to bad mouth him as he left. Her unprofessional conduct was detrimental to the experience. This happened at roughly 1930 on 31 Aug 2025.

8 AM, and they were already out of tortillas, bacon, jalapeño sausage, and coffee. How do you run out of tortillas by 8 when tacos are the only thing on the menu? It wasn’t even busy. We waited 25 minutes, thankfully we had an hour before our flight boarded, and all they had were corn tortillas that crumbled apart before I could even take a bite. The brisket was really good, but they need to get it together.
