Yelp
TL;DR - Wow! This is a *very* good spot for Banh mi! (You should go!)
Backstory: So my wife was hangry since the lines at the mid-autumn moon festival were super long (like down the block and around the corner long), and so she made me drive out to bring her food!
Food:
Banh Mi (Brisket) - $9.99
While this isn't a typical Vietnamese dish (it's a fusion of two cultures), each bite was bursting with flavor. It was sweet, and tangy and definitely felt like comfort food. (5/5
Killer Combo, which turned the bill to $15.99
Seasoned Fries - The chef asked how I wanted them seasoned, and that was a cut above what I'm used to. In the end, it was seasoned just right for me to crave more.
Thai Tea - This was pretty good. (It wasn't filled to the max, nor was it the best I've ever had, (I've had homemade Thai Tea from Thailand), but it was still very good. (4/5)
Service:
So, when I got there, the cook was the only one manning the store. Still, he managed to take my original order, and then handle my last minute changes, and then handle even more last minute changes. And he did so without losing his cool, and with continuing to be super helpful and polite.
Props to him, this was very impressive! (6/5)
Ambiance:
Well, it's a small store and with no one manning the people coming in, the front was a little untidy. But I'm not gonna hold that against this place.
