"If you've got littles in tow who are tired from the beach—or are train-obsessed, then Kilohana Plantation is a great way to kill an afternoon. There's a 40-minute train route which meanders through groves of orchards, vegetable gardens, and flower beds, and they host a traditional luau, complete with dancers, something every family needs to experience at least once during a trip to Hawaii."

The rum tour was fantastic. Our tour guides were so funny and knew the Island very well. I highly recommend this tour, good rum tasting, and much more.

Once the center of a 27,000-acre sugar plantation and the hub of Kauaʻi business, cultural and social life, the 35-acre estate now features tropical gardens and an old plantation village. Classic Kauaʻi Plantation Railway gives you a tour of Kilohana’s working farm. Located in Līhuʻe on Kaumualiʻi Highway, island of Kauai, Hawaii, it is a restored plantation estate that provides a glimpse of life in the 1930s. The site of a 16,000 square-foot Tudor mansion that was home to one of the island’s most prominent families, Kilohana is now a picturesque venue for tours, gatherings and a theatrical lūʻau. Manicured green lawns surround the estate, which now features Gaylord's restaurant and a number of unique shops like the Kōloa Rum Company.

This was our first Luau and Kilohana did not disappoint! The show was amazing and well worth the price! Vendors were also amazing. Teriyaki Chicken was the best!

The historical train ride, buffet-style dinner, and Luau were great. Our party of eight all enjoyed the whole experience.

Went to the rum tasting. Recommend booking/ reserving online before hand. The tasting was complimentary. They didn't have any spots for 90 min. We'd enjoyed a Mai Tai at the lounge. Happy hour starts at 3:00pm. It's $2 off the drinks. No tap beers, only bottles/cans. Decent size parking lot. Saw 2 tour buses when we arrived. Dole whip stand in the parking lot. Not a lot of signage. Use Google or pass a nice pagoda.

They really want you to go on the train ride. You need to buy tickets in advance. We have been told it's fun for kids You get to feed the wild pigs tortillas at some point. There's lots of art exhibits inside the building. The gift shops are rather expensive but are unique to the area. Looks like they do a luau did not see much information about it while walking around. The buildings are interesting to look at they've been restored a bit and look original. It's worth stopping and walking around. Plan to be there for a couple of hours if you're doing the train ride The train rides takes at least an hour. We saw people doing a rum tasting tour. Look interesting. They were selling a $135 bottle next to a $35.99 They have free restrooms in a building between different gift shops
