Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge

When we went the place had the strongest amazing chocolate smell..we went for ice cream, but couldn't leave without chocolate 🍫. They have some wonderful chocolates, like the Dubai Pistachio and just plain dark chocolate with pecans, and tons of other combinations. The packaging is adorable. The candy is pricey, but nice for a special occasion gift for sure!!

The ice cream is good quality. They have a large variety of flavors. So many that not everything fits in the case. Be sure to check the printed menu for extra flavors like Pistachio. They also have a variety of chocolates, most can be had as either milk or dark chocolate. The service has always been good. The staff is friendly and helpful.

A great spot for ice cream and chocolates! Though it's on the pricier side, we do like Kilwins. Their cappuccino ice cream is my go to. I wish it was a stronger coffee flavor, but it's still very good, especially with the chocolate dipped cone.

Great service from team member Nicki! So welcoming and such a cool person. Loved the variety of flavorings of ice-cream. This is by far the best ice-cream I have ever had. I also come often for their candy apples.

Never had a bad treat from Kilwins, this store is no different. Convenient location and lots of goodies to choose from including milkshakes! Check them out. Located in throughway shopping center.

Omg today is my birthday and they made it the best ever. I'm so sorry I did not get the name of the two employees working here today. I came in at 1pm for some chocolate strawberries and they gave me an extra treat and a free ice cream! Made me so happy. Thank you both for making my birthday the best. I love today. I honestly wasn't going to even go out today but I'm sure glad I did now. Bless yall seriously thank you.

My best friend brags about this place so I’ve wanted to go in for a while. It smells so wonderful inside. The girl behind the counter was so friendly and helpful, and even gave me samples of their homemade chocolate and caramel for my first visit! I bought some dark chocolate almond clusters, which my partner raved about. I bought myself an almond toffee bar and it is AMAZING. So delicious. And I just ate the free caramel and it was probably the softest caramel I’ve ever had. I love this place, the chocolates are so nice that I plan to buy many to give as Christmas gifts this year. I can’t wait to go back and get a caramel apple.

The ice cream is amazing!! The service impeccable. We had a small issue. Sheila handled it quickly. She rectified the situation better than I expected. When I come to Winston, I will always be stopping here and getting ice cream!!

Ugh. Love this place. I've cream and chocolates are always spot on. Very friendly service and cute atmosphere. Going in here always makes me feel like a little kid.

So last weekend on a date with my husband I had the grand idea of mixing Dewey's cake into Kilwins ice cream. Well, I am happy to report it was just as amazing as I hoped it would be. I really love Kilwins, this has become our go to place for occasions. I love the dark chocolate covered orange peel and the raspberry truffles. My husband loves their fudge and they always offer buy two get one free on that. I got my daughters chocolate bunnies from here this year too. When I checked in here I was given a 20% off ice cream coupon on the app- when I presented it to the employees they were openly taken aback and I was told no one had ever used it before. It always feels awkward to have it go down like that but there you go Yelpers, I broke the seal for us all. They did honor the coupon after the confusion. Kilwins still has outdoor seating available in small amounts and I really enjoyed making my concoction! The ice cream is good and a cup is plenty.

Wxcellent service and great ice cream. I cant wait to go back for a different treat. Nice area inside and out to eat your sweet treat as well. I has the caramel pecan I believe and hubby had the peach. But they were both divine.

A single scoop of ice cream in a cup set me back a whopping $6. So value is not a word associated with Kilwins. Probably why it's only my third time here in 25 years. But I will say that their ice cream is pretty darn good. I've never had Rum Raisin before, cuz it's something only my grandparents would eat. But since I'm over 50 now, I thought I should try it. I mean, who like raisins in their ice cream? Sounds weird... but I liked it. So kudos on converting someone to a lover of Rum Raisin ice cream. I'll save up my pennies and see if I can afford another frivolous scoop in a few years. Do they sell it at the grocery store so I can get a half gallon for less than six bucks?

I ordered 3 peanut Carmel apples & 1 pecan caramel apple from kilwins.com. (order (174173). Of course you have to pay for FedEx 2-day which is understandable. However, what is not acceptable is getting your products in 6 days with no explanation. I called the customer service number tw on two different days plus completed an on-line inquiry. Two weeks later I am still waiting for a response. Two day shipping cost approximately $35. My order wasn't even processed until 4 days (including the weekend) after I ordered. Who has on-line commerce but no staff to answer in-calls. This is ridiculous and I will NOT order from Kilwuns EVER AGAIN. I'll stick to Amy's Gourmet Apples. The apples are bigger and the prices are higher BUT their customer service is excellent. I have ordered from Kilwins about 4 other times but this was my last. I have visited there store in Grand Rapids, MI and Longboat Key, FL but never again.

This chain, which started in Michigan, is growing fast in North Carolina, with 11 locations currently operating instate, and of course, there is not one in good old Greensboro! This was our first visit to this location though we've been to ones in Blowing Rock and Wilmington. Everything they do is good - fudge, candies, and ice cream - especially the Toasted Coconut, and the Butter Pecan, which is LOADED with pecans. For the first time, we pick up a box of mixed chocolates, and they were ever bit as awesome as the other items! Ask the nice lady, why not Greensboro, and she said they looked at Greensboro, but that Greensboro is an expensive place to setup a food establishment of any kind. Anyway, if you have a sweet tooth, especially if it is of the frozen variety, this is a place you should check out!

I had a discount available and I was in the mood for ice cream so I thought I would swing by. This place definitely has a variety of flavors, like Chocolate Toasted Coconut, which I love....I'm just not a fan of the price. It's neat to see the area where they make the chocolates and would recommend coming here for possibly buying a gift for your chocolate loving friends. They have everything you could imagine, caramels, toffee, truffles, fudge, sugar free, etc. All in all I would say coming here should be set aside for special occasions, unless you don't mind spending a fortune for a scoop of ice cream!

Been to this location a few times. It's high quality chocolate, no doubt about that. I've experienced friendly service as well. The ice cream is good, but I can't say it's amazing. I do like the Superman flavor best. They have amazing fudge and all kinds of chocolate covered treats and truffles, etc. They also have some great drinking chocolate for the holidays and winter months. My only gripe is their prices are expensive, but you are definitely getting a product that is superior to a Whitman's sampler box!

I am a fan of Kilwin's! I can't get enough of their cookie dough ice cream in one of those delicious waffle cones. Sometimes when you are in you can get a hold of one from a freshly made match its still a little warm, a little crunchy, a little chewy, and super delicious. They do keep the waffle cones under a heat lamp so either way you are going to get a tasty waffle cone. They also have a tasty variety of chocolate desserts. From giant peanut butter cups to fancy dipped apples you will surely find something here to satiate your sweet tooth. The employees are always friendly and there is usually not more than a small line on summer nights so you can get your ice cram pretty quickly! They also offer daily specials so be sure to check them out on their website. Currently on Sunday's you can get a free ice cream cone for children six and under.

Ice cream, ice cream, we all ask for ice cream in soft gentle tones because we are considerate of others around us who may not care for screaming. This is a pleasant little shop, cheerful staff and a nice variety of ice creams and confections. Rumor has it the fudge is top-shelf but as long as the weather holds I'll stick to a single scoop of frosty goodness in a waffle cone.

Kilwins has some of the best ice cream and candy intown. You cannot beat their quality. I have been to sevral locations and this one has the same delisioussness just on a smaller scale. The fudge is amazing but on this trip, ice cream was what I was cvraving. I was torn between the smore and cappichino chip flavos. The employee suggested a half and half scoop which I ordered. I also had their hot fudge. You can taste the quality in the icecream and the chocolate used for the hot fudge. The ice cream is so rich you do not need more then one scoop.

It was a 92 degree day when I went there with friends. I got a chocolate cone. I asked for a cup and spoon with it and the lady charged my 53 cents for literally a cardboard cup with a plastic spoon after I had spent $30 between 3 ice cream cones and candy. And my chocolate ice cream tasted freezer burned

This was my first time ever going here. While the quality and flavor were great, the prices and service definitely knocked them down to a 3. They've got a great selection of sweet treats, all of which look delicious. I also like they they display the calories too. However, neither of the two girls working were very friendly and $8.99 for a decent milkshake and almost $6 for one scoop in a waffle cone are a little overpriced in my opinion. I may come back for some of the chocolate treats but I don't think I would get the ice cream again.

Had the moose tracks ice cream which was really good with their homemade peanut butter cups. Service was friendly and efficient. It's definitely a little pricey for ice cream but the quality is there.

Good ice cream, fantastic chocolate, and phenomenal customer service! I came in super late with my friends last night and we took up a lot of time to choose our flavors. The young man working behind the counter was very vibrant and patient; super friendly guy with a good sense of humor and really made the day something special! We all loved the ice cream and the chocolate we got!

Kids love this place in the summer for ice cream. One of our favorite spots. Also, not too far from Trader Joe's so we can stop in and get some shopping done. Great customer service and the best ice cream!

I've been here several times. I'm not usually a waffle cone person but I love their waffle cones! Their ice cream is so creamy & delicious, truly some of the best. If you're more into baked goods, they have an extremely appetizing case selection. I've had most items in there case & of course all are good. I think they're somewhat known for their fudge & offer several different flavors. *Tip - I will warn you that they are not cheap, in fact they are pretty expensive but you're paying for the quality. Definitely look at the prices or ask before your cravings get the best of you, that way your wallet isn't upset with you later. It's a nice treat, but not an every week occurrence.

I have stopped by here many times and have never been disappointed. I love watching them make their delicious treats from caramel apples to fudge. It's like I'm a kid again. The smell is intoxicating but in a good way. I ordered the Praline Pecan icecream tonight in a waffle cone because why not! The salty pecans tucked into the cold icecream with caramel ribbons throughout make this my favorite flavor here for sure! I like having outdoor seating too, but usually take mine to go.

It's ice cream. Everyone likes ice cream. Always refreshing especially on these recent hot summer days. A good selection of 36ish different flavoured icecream and sorbets with options for different cones (chocolate dipped waffle is a fav) or in a bowl. All in all a nice place to stop and get a scoop and sit outside while the cars go by.

Good ice cream, poor experience. I suggest those that seek a family experience free of cultural prefrential indifference, I suggest spending your dollars elsewhere. In my opinion, the customer care was sub par at best.

My daughter and I went here for some treats for her being a great sport at her eye appointment. We go truffles, peanut butter cups, Oreos, caramel apples, and fudge. Everything we have eaten so far was delicious. Customer service was wonderful.

My experience at Kilwins was not what I expected, for a place as pricey as Kilwins I had high expectations. I recently went to go get icecream with my family for a treat on my birthday but I was not happy. My sister and I ordered two scoops each in a cup. The the portions were not consistent and I felt cheated because while my sister's ice cream was oozing out the cup mine was not. When I recieved my ice cream cup there was not much in their compared to my sisters cup even though we both ordered two scoops in a cup. Overall the employee serving me my icecream seemed very rushed and they weren't paying attention, and when I recieved my icecream I quickly asked "is this two scoops" and the employee replied yes with the shake of their head barley acknowledging my concern. In my opinion they could do better, and they could pay more attention to what they're doing.

Best chocolate peanut butter ice cream ever!! The waffle cones are kept warm- so good! They have delicious looking chocolates and all kinds of chocolate treats. Staff are pleasant and helpful. They stay open late, great for a late night treat!

As a fellow Michigander, i had been looking forward to Kilwins all weekend. Stopped by at 8:37 pm on a Sunday and the lights were off and employees were inside closing up.... over 20 minutes early. I am very sad.

This review has nothing to do with the quality or taste of the product but rather than the service. Today I came in just to get a few things and it seemed as I was more of a bother to the person behind the counter her attitude was lackluster and rude. No wonder deweys is busier at this very moment

Kilwin's is simply the best. Their homemade waffle cones and ice cream, and handcrafted candies thoughtfully, skillfully and deliciously crafted. There are unique flavors as well as you're expected classics. The people working in the shop are always helpful and courteous. Your search is over, you've found the best.

Purchased 4 ice creams, 3 of which were double scoops,and one apple. Cost $58.08!!!! Way too expensive. Will never go back.

My boyfriend & I really, really wanted to love this place, but just couldn't considering I am an Appalachian State Grad & am used to their Blowing Rock location. I can't even compare this Kilwin's to the Blowing Rock store & perhaps if I had never been there, I would've liked this place a little more. The only ice cream that I ever got in Blowing Rock (which I know is one of their best sellers)was their Apple Pie ice cream. This was one of the flavors that I knew was unique to Kilwin's, which made it even more specical since I know most homemade ice cream flavors all taste similar. I was so excited to go to Kilwin's & get my favorite ice cream, but was disappointed that they didn't have it, as well as about half of their selection that I'm used to seeing in Blowing Rock. I don't mind their lack of seating or anything like that, and the store is adorable, but if you really want to knock the socks off of your customers, you should change up some of your selection every now and then :)
