Despite the challenges of the expropriated storefront, our dedication led us to the factory where we rediscovered our beloved pork, just as delicious as we remembered it from 12 years ago. The absence of a storefront didn't deter us; in fact, it added a sense of exclusivity to our culinary treasure hunt. This hidden gem continues to hold the title of our favorite shop, serving what we believe to be the best Bak Kwa in all of Singapore.

Visited around 11am on a Sunday and queued for approximately 1hr 40mins. Got their signature pineapple BBQ pork ($31/500g) and sliced royal pork ($29/500g). Really love the flavour and taste of this bakkwa over other mainstream brands. The thickness and tenderness of the royal pork is soooo good!! Take note cash only during this CNY season and there’s a limit of 2kg/pax for pineapple BBQ pork. No limit for other types.

2nd time trying their pineapple bakkwa, their pineapple bakkwa is good! First time buying and queue for 1.5hr. Take note for those going to buy, they only accept cash till feb. So do bring cash! The lady boss was nice enough to take our order and let us go withdraw money and collect it after. We were also lucky, that it rain after we buy everything and got in the car!!!

Chose to buy the bbq pork at off season. Somemore this original shop finally opened during non-CNY period. However, upon reaching at their displaying case of their bbq meats, there were quite a number of flies. Did request for pineapple flavour bbq pork meat, luckily the staff took from kitchen area 😷

Pork jerky place located just few stalls away from the popular Seng Kee Black Chicken soup. First time had this, recommended by a friend. Bought the 1kg Sliced Royal Pork. Damage was $58. Had the packaging to be in 2 x 500g. 1kg of pork jerky is estimately around 8-9½ pieces. Considering its thickness, I think it's a good buy. Shop provided good service, packed the pork jerky on the spot in your face & ensured its at least 1kg, then proceeded to seal it shut. Guy also advised to store in fridge if not consumed within 3 days. Though mentioned Cash Only, thankfully they accepted PayNow as an option. Unpacking was a mess as it was pretty oily (guess the mixture of the marination & the oil). Flavorful. Pork jerky is also thicker cut than other brands I had. Flavour is OK too. Would come again !

Reached there at 11.17am. There are 30+ people ahead of me. First time queueing and trying their bak kwa. Limit to 1kg😵‍💫 per people for the 🍍 pineapple bak kwa. I queued up one more round to get another kg more. The staff are efficient and helpful. They weighs your order right in front of you, collect payment, and vacuum packed your goods before putting into the box and carrier. Only cash is accepted. The suluccent aroma of the 🍍 pineapple bak kwa diffuses upon opening the packet. These thick, nice and tasty bak kwa, make my effort today worthwhile.

Cheaper than other brands! $31/500g (pineapple), $29/500g (royal) whereas LCG was $40.50/500g… You can purchase any bakkwa without limits, but for pineapple bakkwa only 1kg per round (can queue multiple rounds)👍🏻👍🏻 Queued 7 rounds (7kg) for a total of 3 hours on 5th Feb Monday😂

Yelp
If you are like me who dislike queuing up for things but need to have bak kwa for Chinese New Year, you might want to ditch Lim Kee Guan for one year and try the bak kwa from Kim Peng Hiang. Kim Peng Hiang is famous for its Pineapple Bak Kwa, where candied shredded pineapple is mixed with the bak kwa. The taste adds a somewhat sweeter taste to the meat, while not cloying. The pineapple bits also adds a juicy bite to the meat. Kim Peng Hiang's original Bak Kwa is also awesome. Their slices are thick (about double the size of normal bak kwa) and you can actually taste the meat fibers in each bite. They also use more lean meat in their bak kwa so it will be a comfort to those who are watching their waistline (although not much). During Chinese New Year, the queue can be quite long but never as bad as that of Lim Kee Guan. Furthermore, this branch at Changi Road is located just beside the famous Seng Kee Black Herbal Chicken Soup so get a group of friends to take turns queuing up and eating zichar from Seng Kee. Time will pass pretty fast.

Yelp
The only thing that can make one of my favorite foods ever (bak kwa) better, is by somehow merging this delicious bbq pork with pineapple. This place does it, and does it well. It just frankly delicious, and I highly recommend it.
