16 Excellent Korean Restaurants in Houston

"Hit this noodle shop up for mul naengmyeon — a savory chilled soup made with buckwheat noodles and thinly-sliced beef, topped with daikon, boiled egg, cucumber, and matchsticked watermelon or Asian pear. The refreshing dish makes an ideal meal on a sweltering Houston day." - Sean Hekmat

Our lunch at Kim Shabu on Longpoint in Houston was a delightful experience. The restaurant's atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were remarkably attentive and courteous. While the shabu meat and seafood selection was decent, the overall positive ambiance and service made it a place I'd readily recommend for a satisfying meal.

You cannot miss out on this place. It’s a local business with great service and food. The meet portions are large so make sure you do t overload your plate with all the vegetable options. This will for sure be a regular stop for me.

It’s my third time here and I love how consistently good they are. The selection of fresh vegetables, high-quality meats, fresh seafood and delicious broth options is impressive. I highly recommend this place!

Wow I can’t wait to try this place in person. I ordered food to go and it was packaged well and absolutely delicious. The Kim chi was so fresh and perfect sweet and spicy and salty combination. I ordered three dishes and everyone enjoyed it at home. The restaurant was cozy and clean, and staff so nice . Update:11/21 I came back to this place w my friend and ate in person and it was a great experience. I had the seafood noodle soup again and it was delicious and a seafood pancake. Also ordered bibimbap. Raymond was our server and I think the owner he was so kind and nice. This place feels like home we will be back :)

Sad to see that this place doesn't get the recognition it should. This place is a great place for AYCE shabu hot pot. Check out my pics and you will see. This place makes the BEST KIMCHI!

Came here for lunch and had an AMAZING experience. Isaac was our server and took great care of us. You could tell that everything was fresh and wonderfully prepped. I love that you can make your dish to be whatever flavor you want. Will definitely be back again and may even be on a regular rotation for us!

Kim Shabu Hot Pot - A Hidden Gem in Spring Branch! Kim Shabu Hot Pot is an absolute treasure in the Spring Branch area! From the moment you walk in, the warm, family-oriented atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The owners have created a dining experience that is not only delicious but also welcoming and fun for everyone. One standout aspect of our visit was seeing the owner's parents actively helping with front-of-house duties. Their friendly and patient approach to assisting new customers is heartwarming. For first-timers unfamiliar with the hot pot concept, they graciously explained how to order, choose ingredients, and enjoy the meal to its fullest. It felt like getting a personal guide to this unique and interactive dining experience! The hot pot itself was exceptional—fresh ingredients, flavorful broths, and endless options to customize your meal exactly how you like it. Whether you're a seasoned hot pot lover or a curious first-timer, Kim Shabu Hot Pot is the perfect spot to gather with family and friends for a meal that’s both memorable and satisfying. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a community-driven gem where the dedication and care of the staff truly shine. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Google
This is a “mom & pop” Korean hotpot restaurant. Not a huge selection, and the sauces are more of the traditional Korean shabu style. However…. the small and limited selection they offer for the buffet, is all the good stuff. No fillers and miscellaneous junk to get the kids full. All the good meats, your basic veggies, mushrooms, and my kids’ favorite, the handmade noodles. (This place used to be a handmade specialty noodle restaurant so it still says Noodle restaurant on the outdoor sign.) I honestly feel like we get our money’s worth here because they only carry the premium meats and veggies. They’d actually probably increase profits by offering some of the fillers and miscellaneous sides, but hey, I personally like that they don’t. As far as the service, they’re very limited in staffing. Mainly family members I think. But I like the personable service and the fact that we’re supporting a small, family owned and operated business. We still have never had to wait too long for more meat- seems to be a good, constant, steady flow. But I do consciously try not to waste food here or use excessive amount of plates. I’m sure that backs them up in the kitchen. Anyway, just my two cents. It’s definitely my son’s favorite restaurant and we’d love to see them thrive and stay open for many years!! P.S. We’re not big seafood eaters and I’d probably recommend going elsewhere if that’s what you want. I believe they only have squid, blue crabs, & large shrimp, if I remember correctly. Oh and fish balls/shrimp balls. We mainly go for the meats!!

Yelp
Food is amazing, large variety of broths, meats, veggies, etc. service is top tier, very welcoming to families and individuals. They do a good job explaining the process for first timers. Nice ambiance, clean environment, and catchy music. There is a separate room in the back of you have a large party coming in. A regular spot for our family! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Previously Korean Noodle House, Kim Shabu is a lovely family-owned hot pot joint out in Spring Branch. The clean, minimalist decor as well as the unassuming menus are endearing, but don't let that fool you - among shabu shabu restaurants, it holds its own against more bombastic peers in Chinatown and Katy. Here are my thoughts on our experience: Meats and soups: For dinner, choose from any of the 12 cuts on the list, of which 9 are beef, 2 are pork, and 1 is chicken. Everything we had was fresh and well-portioned; I loved seeing all the beautiful trays hit the table at once, then stacking them up high as we devoured slice after slice of meaty goodness. Most of us ordered either the deeply rich house broth or lightly savory dashi soup, which were also both excellent and complemented the shabu shabu options well. Buffet: You'll find your typical selection of Asian veggies, shellfish/seafood, tofu, mushrooms, and noodles out here. Reflecting the restaurant's Korean roots, you'll also see an extensive banchan station (I wish the kimchi had gotten refilled)! The sauce bar has both prepared mixes and basic essentials for you to create your perfect dip. The dessert and hot food sections were fairly limited, but you're not here to eat too much of that here, are you? Service: Our server was quick, efficient, responsive, and attentive - perhaps more so than at any other hot pot restaurant I've been to! I guess it did help that the place was pretty light when we went late on a Friday night. In short, while it may not have some of the more expansive options that other places do, Kim Shabu more than makes up for it with solid mainstays and excellent, personable service - I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I found myself in the area!

Yelp
Returned to visit the shabu AYCE experience and new concept. Everything was very good and they definitely got busy as the morning progressed. Good options from the buffet line. Very nice employees! I got the house broth and my favorite cut of meat from the lunch menu was #7. Clean restaurant and will def be back
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Very nice wait staff. Such a nice variety of hot pot ingredients. Fresh noodles and plenty of vegetable variety is a must! I missed the kimchi from when this place was a Korean noodle house, so glad I was able to have some again. I went on a Friday night and it was full, but it didn't feel full, crowded or loud. I was eating alone, so total plus not to be overwhelmed.
google avatar

Peter X.

Yelp
Quick service, friendly staff, and $30 AYCE dinner. I do recommend the dinner menu for the additional meats. This place is good for the price although I wished there were more options at the bar such as more veggie options and seafood. Pro tip: at the end of the meal, get some handmade noodles to soak up all that flavor from the broth!!

Yelp
Kim Shabu is my happiest find of 2024 in Houston. This used to be a soup noodle place and has since been completely remodeled. It now offers - dare I say - the best individual hotpots in Houston. That's a bold claim given we have so many hotpot spots. So what do I base that on? 1. The variety of items. The seafood and veggie+ bar is impressively varied, and with 12 cuts of meat offered for dinner, Kim Shabu gives you permutations and combinations of concoctions between veggies, meats, seafood, carbs, and sauces. Don't skip on the rice cakes and the hand-pulled noodles towards the end. 2. The freshness. This is unbeatable. I don't know how they offer so many items and yet keep them all so fresh. I probably ate a pound of mushrooms and crown daisy each, and don't get me started on the meat. So fresh and so good. Such good quality. 3. The flavors. Both the House and Beef broth are delicious. While my pot tasted like really thick mushroom soup by the end of the meal, the broth was good from the get go. The sauces were also spot on. The avocado sauce was so good and spicy, and I also enjoyed the soy-based House and Ponzu sauces as well as the black sesame sauce. And the peanut sauce. And the ssamjang. I ate a lot of sauces. Service was also prompt. I'm really happy with this find! Edit: Turns out that I really disliked my experience here prior to the remodeling, but definitely go and support this new hotpot gig. The Shabu is fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly service, clean set-up. The peanut sauce is phenomenal. The price, especially for lunch is great. Great place to introduce people to hotpot.

Yelp
This place never fails. Went in January and very recently with family and friends. Our visit in January was with a large party with some being vegan and non vegan. It was a wonderful experience all around. They have plenty of vegan options here and highly recommend for anyone wanting those options. They have no problems answering any and all questions as to what is and isn't vegan. The meats are always fresh, as well as the buffet. Hands on my favorite place to go and always highly recommend. The service is always wonderful. If you are looking to go for lunch and not dinner there options are half of what is offered for dinner but they are still great options.
google avatar

Patrick L.

Yelp
This restaurant has great flavor broth, and a good selection of meats. I wish there was more sides available.
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
First time here and had a great experience! It's very clean and well laid out. The service was great and the owners are so sweet. So many options to choose from the food bar. The broth was a bit bland and I couldn't figure out how to spice it up just right but there are a lot of great sauce options. It really is a great price for the quantity and quality of the food. I will definitely be back.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible food and Isaac was a fantastic server. The Korean atmosphere reminded me of Pusan. Try the Ponzu sauce by itself..Amazing!
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
So fresh, love the prices! Can't wait to come back in the future with my family. The service was excellent!! The broth was amazing
google avatar

Ronald D.

Yelp
From the same family that brought you the Korean Noodle House comes this Shabu style restaurant serving tasty broths and a good assortment of vegetables and meats.... and of course they're fabulous kimchi which I feel is the best in the city. I got the combination broth which puts all the broths together for a very flavorful soup base and a solid foundation for a great meal.
google avatar

Ken M.

Yelp
Give it five stars because not only is the quality of the food outstanding but the service was excellent. Very common place no-frills but at the same time the food is amazing. Bang for Buck probably the best place I've had for hot pot !

Yelp
On the corner of a strip mall, this hot pot place isn't huge but can seat parties of two to larger groups (there's a separate room with big tables). Each person gets their own pot and it's one price for AYCE - with discounts for senior citizens (10%) and kids under 4 eating free. Broths are House (chicken, beef, pork), dashi, beef, pork, chicken, miso or veggies. I went with the house but honestly - like with most hot pots the flavors at the end are all muddled. The have a buffet bar with the most neatly stacked and assorted vegetables and items for your hotpot - including kimchis etc. They also have a section for rice and some items that go well with rice . . . and a separate area with fruit and a whole ice cream section. Meats are very very thinly sliced - which means they cook in a matter of seconds. You can get two plates of meat per person (roughly 10 pieces), but you'll likely need to order some more as you go. Staff was so courteous and helpful and very kind. We even got some candy canes since Christmas was just around the corner. This place is definitely a bit of a neighborhood gem.
google avatar

Quynh-Anh V.

Yelp
I liked how everything at the veggies and seafood bar was chopped nicely, and the porridge at the end was great and for only $1! But the broths are not super flavorful (which is probably suitable to Korean people's tastes), and they don't have crab sticks!!! which is big for me. Also the meat is chopped a little too thinly so it falls apart really easily. The staff seemed nice though and everything was very clean.
google avatar

Mrs J.

Yelp
The best Shabu in Houston! The food is fresh and plentiful, the broths are great, excellent service and reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend

Yelp
I came here with a friend and boyfriend to check it out since I saw a review on Instagram about this restaurant. I realized that I had been to this restaurant when it originally was a Korean noodle house several years ago. The restaurant itself looks like it was a complete remodel. The inside was beautiful with so much white and marble, simplistic walls and cute quotes on the wall and even a wall for pictures! We were seated fairly quickly since it wasn't a busy time on a Saturday that we went. Looking over the menu, there were 4 broth options we could choose from which were fairly basic broths, nothing original compared to other hot pot places. However their hot pot options were very unique. There were variety of pre made kimchi fried rice, regular fried rice and noodle dishes on one side. then more options of seafood, veggies, and dipping sauces. there were several pre made dipping sauces that anyone could pick from or some options to make your own but didn't have everything like low-sodium soy sauce or fish sauce options. I picked 2 plates full of veggies, and seafood/fish balls. We ordered 8 plates of meats to start and once we finished a majority of the meats then we ordered more. Service was good also! Our waiter was attentive and came by several times to pick up empty plates and made sure we didn't go empty on meats until we were truly done ordering. I would definitely recommend going as a group or date night! I enjoyed this and plan on going back sometime soon!

Yelp
I came in at 3pm not knowing that they closed 3-5pm. The owner informed me that hotpot was closed 3-5pm, but noodles were made to order all day long. The workers were super friendly and hospitable. I ordered the Spicy Seafood Noodles which were delicious. The restaurant was quiet, clean, and inviting. Great spot for a quick lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Service is super nice, the food is nicely arranged, clean and yummy. Beef broth is the best. I also like that the buffet includes potatoes, cookies and orange. Haven't seen that elsewhere. vegetarians and seniors pay less. They have a table in the back that fits 8ppl, so grab your friends and treat yourself forgot to take pics, but this place is too good not to be reviews bc of missing pics. will take pics next time. after all, I go several times a month

Yelp
So this happened. Kim Shabu. Pro tip: wear elastic pants, jeans with buttons are weapons of mass destruction Reservations for 5:15 pm Thursday (today). They have a split schedule (11 - 3 p, 5p - 10p) so 5:15p was perfectly quiet. They picked up around 7 pm. It's shabu but Korean style. They have an assortment of options. Veggies: bok choy, spinach, napa cabbage, sprouts, assortment of mushrooms, chives, zucchini etc Seafood: shrimp, clams, mussels, squid, crab, fish balls (various types) Other: tofu, corn, fish cakes, lotus, seaweed, onions, eggs, ramen, udon Sauce station, kimchi station Section with fried rice, kimchi fried rice, steamed rice, stir fry fish cakes, spicy fish cakes There are 12 assortment of meats for dinner (6 for lunch) There are 7 different broths. (House, dashi, pork, beef, chicken, miso, veggie) And they also have hand made noodles (on the menu, you have to order - small portion but delicious) and at the end they use your broth to make Korean porridge. (I highly recommend) They also have fruit and ice cream for the end (if your belly has space) They serve various types of alcohol, soda and ice teas. The food was delicious. I ate more than I should but I couldn't help myself. Our waiter JT was amazing. He explained things and he was just sooo nice. If I was 20 years younger (wink, wink). Two thumbs up from me. I can't wait to do this again (It was a belated birthday dinner for my friend and JT brought out these cheesecake squares and a candle)

Yelp
My bestie and I decided to try out this gem in our neighborhood, the veggies were fresh and crispy. Definitely will be back for some more soup during this cold season, their sweet tea is delicious. 10/10 recommend. The restaurant is very clean service was great

Yelp
Why? I asked. See the restaurant couldn't just create a new yelp biz page. They changed name from Korean Noodles House to Kim Shabu. What happened to everyone reading the 253 past reviews are not relevant anymore. I saw Kim Shabu advertised on Instagram. Specifically, a post from yesterday that offered 15% off. I said to myself, I've gotta come to support the restaurant (Korean Noodles House) I used to love. I came here to see Korean Noodles House sign still in top of building but windows are decorated with Kim Shabu. So, you asked. What's Korean style shabu? It's individually served shabu pot with Korean entrée and Korean sauces on the buffet line. You have to order sliced shabu meats from the servers. I'm not a meat eater. I indulged myself with clams, mussels and fish balls. There are also shrimps, crabs, baby squids, calamari rings as seafood selections during lunch. I'm curious what's served during dinner. I normally don't rate a business during soft opening. But this one is different. My followers will ask if I have tried Kim Shabu because my review on Korean Noodles House was featured before. I had to share my report. Service was excellent Food was fresh and appetizing Ambience was well decorated with modern look (I missed the old fashioned Korean Noodles House though.) Sauces are prepared in house. I recommend do not mix. Sauce #1 is slightly spicy. Sauce #2 is little spicier and with lots of sweetness. I suggested to replace tomatillo jalapeños green salsa with some kind of Chinese hot pepper oil because sriracha is on shortage. Overall, I was satisfied with my dining experience. I would try dinner with my foodie friends as soon as the page is updated correctly.

Yelp
This place used to be Korean Noodle House and is now a Korean hot pot place with individual pots, which I much prefer to a shared pot. Restaurant interior is clean and simple. Service was good. Menu and food-wise, it is very similar to Shabu Zone in Asiatown except fewer buffet items. The broth and meat options are good but I wish they'd slice their meat into larger pieces. Also wish they had lamb, which is my favorite hot pot meat. They're still very new so not sure if they're planning to add more items to the buffet. The main buffet has two sides with practically the same things. I feel like it'd be better if they added different things to the two sides to increase variety. The house sauce is delicious, especially with green onions and garlic added, but wish they had more sauce ingredients to make bigger variety of DIY sauces. Overall a satisfying experience but only wish they'd slice their meat larger and increase buffet options. Would be even more amazing if they added lamb to the meat menu. Will be back to try again.

Yelp
This is our second time to come back to the Kim Shabu. The food is fresh. Vegetables, meat and seafood quality are all good. The service is nice and friendly. The size of restaurants good, not crowded at all and the ambiance is comfortable and clean.

Yelp
I will say I am sad to see Korean Noodle House go but I was excited to try Kim Shabu. Here is how I like to rate Shabu Shabu and here are my ratings for Kim Shabu. Meat: 4.5/5 Broth: 4/5 Veggie and fix ins: 3.8/5 Sauce: 3/5 (might be my fault bc I don't have a good sauce recipe) Ambience: 2.9/5 Going into a little more detail, the meat quality was pretty good compared to Shabuzone. I ordered the signature broth and it was pretty tasty. However I think it had a lot of salt in it because I was feeling very swollen the next day. The variety of veggies and fix ins was a little limited. As far as sauce, I don't have a go to recipe for Shabu sauce so I didn't love the one I made. I do think they should've kept Korean Noodle Houses design and decor because I don't like the white stucco and carpet. They were also very nice but when we went they took a very long time to bring out the meat. Maybe they were cutting the meat as we ordered which is why it took so long. One thing that was unique to them was they had a porridge set that you could make with your leftover broth which I really liked.
google avatar

Khanh P.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying Kim Shabu has a very cozy environment. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and it's not overpriced. This spot is definitely on top of my hotpot list!
google avatar

Leah O.

Yelp
We love love love shabu here!Everything was super fresh, clean and yummy! I love Shabushabu and this is one of the top 3 on my list in Houston! The AYCE factor makes this dinner so worth it with fresh offerings of shaved beef, seafood and all the veggies you can want! The owners are so welcoming and treat you like a guest in their home! they are so nice! They used to be a noddle restaurant but boy am I glad they now serve Shabu! We drove about an hour to come eat here and we will be coming back more often!
google avatar

Sean L.

Yelp
LOVE this place! It's an AYCE Korean hot pot but also brought back a lot of their previous menu (formerly known as Korean Noodle House). The AYCE is such a great experience and the quality of the food is unmatched for the price! My family comes here quite often and we haven't turned back since!

Yelp
Craving tofu soup for lunch today. Remembered the restaurant from the reviews I read before. Restaurant is in a strip mall. Went there on a Saturday just before noon. Not crowded during that time. Ordered the Soft Tofu with beef soup. They don't have the typical panchan like other Korean restaurants. They only had Kimchi... pretty sure it was home made. It was spicy but not too spicy or salty. The Soft Tofu with beef hit the spot. It came out boiling and rice was hot as well. Soft Tofu had shredded beef and egg as well. Soup was tasty. Price was very reasonable... on the more affordable side. Not serving panchan must have helped. Service was good. Was promptly seated and served drink. Place is pretty casual. Staff was friendly. Will have to go back to try their noodles next time.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
We were craving Korean food and decided to stop by here for some soups. The place is really cute and charming, and was more like a mom and pop shop. They also give out a small container full of complimentary fresh kimchi to pair with your meal! I got the Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup, which was really delicious and impressive, with jumbo shrimps and mussels plenty. It was really flavorful, more on the mild side but was really good! My bf got the Arrowroot Cold Noodle, which was refreshing along with the bone broth. Definitely something for a hot day with noodles having that nice chewy consistency!

Kathy M.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service was great Ambiance is ok staff was very nice a wide selection of anything and everything that you'd want or Korean barbecue
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
This place was decent for a hotpot if yall want to try out a different place. Coming from a korean noodle specialization it can still be seen in the menu. With renovations of becoming a hotpot place it isn't too bad. Ample amount of parking and attentive service and staff. Food I got the house soup which is made from beef and pork. Very clean tasting perfect for layering your meat and veggies for added flavor! The meats were good for people who have a small appetite. Each time I order a portion I order 2 servings just for myself. My favorite cut was the beef belly because it was flavorful and had a great mouth feel. They had multiple house made sauces at their sauce bar. For dessert their ice cream selection was quite impressive, they had matcha, red bean, coffee, vanilla ,strawberry, and chocolate. In addition they also had a variety of fruits such as watermelon, tangerines, and grapes. It's really interesting to see how much food at the self - service section that they try to fit with the space they have. Overall if you haven't tried this place before and want to try a different variety of hotpot places in Houston check it out!

Aerod W.

Yelp
amazing Hot pot #1 in Houston you gotta try it. They have premium cuts of beef, chicken and pork

Yelp
General Description: An AYCE Korea. style shabu shabu restaurant that has its own veggie bar. The good: - Service: For as busy as it was, the reorder of meat kept coming at a reasonable speed. Normally they take forever. - Meat: They have a wide variety of different kinds of meat. Of course the meat quality could be better, but you can't really take that into consideration at an AYCE restaurant. - Veggie Bar: All the veggies and noodles seem to be fresh and well maintained. - Soup Base: I tend to like my soup base more bland, and they customized it to my liking. The bad: - The portions are tiny. (Tip: order 2x or 3x portion of the same meat) Overall: - My go to shabu place.

Yelp
Solid hotpot spot!! Good variety of meats, veggies, seafood, and ice creams! Service is a bit slow during busy hours but they definitely are working hard. Just understaffed!

Yelp
HOUSTON, TX 77055 / KOREAN-STYLE HOT POT / SAT 07-29-23 / DINNER, Party of 3 +The customer service was excellent. There were only two waiters and the owner-operator working, but they did their best to hustle and make sure all of the tables were taken care of. +The shabu broths had a good umami flavor, and not too overpowering, which we liked. We got the 'house', beef, and pork broths. You can get these broths in house spicy or mala spicy versions, as well. +The restaurant was fairly clean and the self-serving stations were kept clean. +The beef quality was good. +The veggies were fresh and looked thoroughly washed. We had to pick out a few flies, but overall it was edible. As long as there are no roaches or big bugs in the hot pot veggies, it's understandable that a few fruit flies/gnats get missed during the food prep process. +The knife-cut noodles and porridge are a game-changer! Make sure you order both. These two menu options are unique to this shabu shabu establishment. +They utilize Yelp's reservation system. +Something about the flooring of the restaurant I liked, as it was a non-slip texture. The seating/table layout is a little crammed, but it works for the restaurant space. Hopefully, they can expand to other locations! -The hot food bar could use some improvement, to increase the tray turnover and not let the foods sit there the entire night. Maybe build out a separate hot food bar section on either side of the restaurant space? Add some items for kids; e.g., fried mandu, tempura shrimp, etc. -Other hot pot restaurants; i.e., Haidilao, skim the broth scum for you, but you'll have to do it yourself at this one. Just grab a bowl from the buffet bar and defoam with your spoon, it'll just take a few scoops. -No refills on soft drinks. -No loyalty rewards program. Maybe they could add some gamification via customer phone number history? For example: 3rd visit = free soda, 5th visit = free beer, 7th visit = 20% off the entire check, or run a points system where you can redeem for secret menu items (seafood pancake, tempura basket, etc.). As long as the veggie and meat quality stays above par, we will keep coming back. The broths are very clean and refreshing, if you aren't into the traditional Chinese or Japanese broths that may have much more adventurous seasonings and spices. If you like swishing thinly-sliced meats in a piping hot broth and devouring them with some delicious proprietary dipping sauces, this is the place to check out! Make the drive out to Koreatown and give them some Yelp love!

Yelp
Ok I'll just have to first start off with that this place is AMAZING. I'm a huge soupy person and I love hot pot/Shabu even if its 100 degrees in Houston. The ambiance gives off modern home vibes with positive affirmations on the wall so it's a plus. Isaac and the other staff were so attentive and kind which made me and my family felt like we were at a friend's house. First let's talk about the broth. I really enjoy the unique flavors since this is a Korean Shabu place (which I haven't tried or seen in other place in Houston that I know of) compared to the usual Shabu/hot pot places. Def very flavorful broths and not full of msg like some places. Second, they have a good amount of meat selections to choose from. Their sides like vegetables seafood Kim chi were all very fresh and well cleaned which I do appreciate esp in AYCE places people get lazy and don't even take the time to wash and ensure what's put out there is clean/washed. Third, I definitely appreciate the fact that is a family owned business (was previously Korean Noodle House). You can tell they put a lot of passion and effort to hand make the dumplings, Kim chi, and their in house noodle on the menu. Fourth, if you still have room, they have Korean congee (house porridge) which is definitely a must try. It's very hearty and Isaac helped us cook it. (Note: you have to finish the Shabu first because they put the congee bowl in the heater to cook) I never had Korean style congee but it tasted delicious because you take the broth you've been cooking your assortments in piling up the flavors to Jam Packed into the rice. Fifth, my siblings and I really were delighted at the fact there were many assortments of ice cream flavors compared to the usual vanilla/chocolate or the vanilla/strawberry. They had red bean, matcha, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I would highly recommend this place as they just opened a week ago so they're still in the process of making some changes. They're currently doing a promo for 15% off if you follow their social media as well. It's a bit of a drive for me but this place is def worth it and I would be more than happy to make the trip out here again!

Yelp
I always enjoy their seafood pancake. Love their side dishes especially their home made kimchi. Service is always friendly and a good place to meet friends for hot sake and noodles!

Yelp
I've been searching for a Shabu place that is closer to the Heights since being 15 minutes away as opposed to 30 minutes is a complete game changer. Kim Shabu did not disappoint!! we went late on a Thursday evening, and as expected, the place was not very busy. However, the bar was still very stocked and service was extremely attentive. All of the ingredients were very fresh and the meat was of high-quality. They also had some fresh handmade noodles which was a very welcome surprise, and I had to go get another. The place was very clean and seemed like they had gone through a recent renovation. Our all in cost came to around $40 per person which in this time for this value can't be beat, this place is definitely getting added to my "can't wait to go back" list.

Yelp
A group of us drove from League City to try Korean Noodle House, as reviewers said it was authentic and delicious. They are right! We ordered quite a bit of food: potato jeon, ddeokbokki, budae jjigae, bulgogi, jjajangmyeon, and bibim naengmyeon. All the dishes were good, but the highlights were the ddeokbokki and naengmyeon. The ddeokbokki was probably the best thing I ate there--it's the best ddeokbokki I've had in the States. On the other hand, we probably wouldn't order the jjigae or jjajangmyeon again. The jjigae tasted very basic (and it was pricey) and the jjajangmyeon was like an old-style version of the dish (go to Paik's Noodles instead). Lastly, as the other reviewers have noted, their kimchi is amazing. It's fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The restaurant was very busy on this particular Saturday night, but the service was pretty prompt. I would come here again if I were in that part of town.

Yelp
I was searching for healthy with lots of variety vegetables Hot Pot for cold weather meal. I found this new Korean hot pot on Long Point & Gessner. KIM SABU HOT POT. The AYCE buffets style offer choice of many meat & vegetarian with decent prices. Food are tasty & fresh layout. It's a new hot pot place so the outside still has the old name Korean noodles restaurant. I would definitely come back again with my family for tasty Hot Soup with all you can eat style.

Yelp
This was my second time here & it never disappoints. I personally love the concept of having my own personal hot pot and love coming to this place. They have a variety of different things you can add and the meats are always top quality. Service is great and ambience is chill.

Yelp
This place is so lovely to sit and eat in! The kimchi tofu soup was wonderful, and we loved the vegetable pancake appetizer, too. Service was quick and everyone was kind. Some dishes were not 10/10 but overall a great place to eat.

Yelp
Korean noodle house is our to-go place for some good korean food. Their kimchi (free side) is the best I've had. It's freshly prepared every time I come. We always buy their kimchi to bring home . My favorite dish to order is the spicy soft tofu. They also have rice dishes as an alternative to noodles.
