Yelp
5 stars for fresh ice cream, generous portions, and ice cream workers who work incredibly hard under crazy busy conditions and tight work spaces. They now offer mini size cups, which is a size smaller than kiddie, and is still a lot of ice cream! Although it was packed, there were still plenty of tables in the shade, under the tents, etc and were pretty clean.
I recommend going online and checking out all the various attractions, which include food, shopping, bumper boats and a ton more. This place is huge and certainly has expanded from when I would go there as a kid.
The parking process needs significant improvement. There are 5 main lots, however, on Sunday, there was no one assisting drivers with navigating them. Kimball's should have a few employees waiving cars to the next lot when there is no space to make the flow more efficient. I did see one employee in the middle of the lot, but she didn't appear to be approachable or offering direction, so possibly they have folks who just need some training. We saw one lot with spaces, but absolutely could not find where to access it. There was one person at the exit specifically blocking so no one could enter, however, was not offering guidance on how to access. This was the extended lot across the street from the Farm. There is parking directly in front where the cream is served, however, there are not many spaces so on busy days, I recommend passing the Farm on the left, then following the Bus Parking and drop off signs, which leads you down a long dirt road on the left. You will come to a parking lot, but keep following the dirt road, as there is a second lot which is much closer to the Farm and all the attractions. This lot specifically abuts the Zip Line entrance. Even if that lot is full, it is easy to circle through and then return to the one that you initially passed and park there. The other lots are a challenge to navigate due to haphazard parking, narrow drive throughs, challenging turn arounds and general traffic backlog.
The restrooms also need more attention. There was no toilet paper and no soap. For a park this size, these types of things should certainly get priority and negatively impacted the overall experience.
Couple of tips: They do have water stations, but no cups, so be sure to bring your own bottle to refill. Wipes are also helpful to clean up the sticky fingers after eating :)
