Ordered rose tteokbokki, a medium soy garlic popcorn chicken, and a side of fries for pick up/to-go - with a small tip, I rounded my purchase to $50. Very disappointed to find that a majority portion of the soy garlic sauce had leaked from the paper box (why?!) that the popcorn chicken is stored in all over the bag and other containers. Disappointed that the woman behind the counter saw the leaking chicken when I went to pick it up and opted to double bag the order instead of repackage it. Disappointed that my side of fries was at the bottom of the order, now waterlogged from the steam. The chicken was crisp and the portion large. The rice cakes were cooked well and the rose sauce was tasty. The fries are in the airfryer so idk. Overall passable but definitely a place that I’d choose to dine-in instead to avoid disappointment in the future.

Bibimbap is good, they let you choose the base and vegetables are flavorful. Fried chicken Burger was ok.

So from the start of ordering my food, the young lady on the phone was nice and kind and warm and when I arrived to pick it up, she was even better in person. Awesome customer service skills at the register that’s a plus for me. The Korean fried chicken is awesome. Must have the sassy sauce on a spicy side but overall awesome only thing I would say is I wish that they would’ve said that it was doused in the sauce because I would’ve rather had my sauce on the side and ate my chicken Without sauce and dipped it so I can have the full effect of the crunchies and actually see if it was as crunchy as other places but overall a 10 out of 10 I did get some kimchi on the side and I will be making some noodles at home and add to it so I’ll be back to let y’all know what the chemistry actually taste like.

This is 2nd kimchi box that I have been to. A smaller version. But still very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had the chicken sandwich and it didn't disappoint.

I'm a fan of Korean food, so I gave this restaurant a try. The food was delicious, especially the kimchi fries, chicken teriyaki and avocado box, and fried Mandu. It's a small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and K-pop entertainment. Plus, ordering through the app was convenient and pickup was quick. Definitely recommend.

Got to try some awesome Korean street food here. Was provided excellent service by Sophie, she even allowed my dad and I to sample the kimchi before ordering. Neither of us had it before, and while it was too spicy for me and too tough to chew for my dad. It was cool to try and helped us decide what to order.

Based on the reviews I really wanted to love this place; when I walked in I was intrigued by the great menu of Korean street food, several ramune drink flavors and lively K-pop videos playing in the back. I attempted to ask what was recommended/popular dish and the cashier I did not make me feel very welcome to ask any questions. I ordered a box of 12 wings (soy garlic/Korean sassy) and small sides of kimchi & pickled radish. The chicken wings were big, juicy inside and still crispy even with the generous toss in the sauces. Both were yummy with the sassy one packing a tiny bit of heat. I liked the generous portion and was able to share with 3 adults as a snack. Disappointed to say the kimchi was terrible! It was bland as in no taste (no heat, garlic, sourness) even if it were a “fresh”kimchi it should taste like something. The radishes were a nice crunchy and fresh break from the fatty friedness of the chicken. I would possible go back to try the bulgogi but there are other local places that are similarly priced with better food and friendlier service.

Google
Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Popcorn Fried Chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Both light and dark meat was used. Soy garlic chicken was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Bulgogi box was a very large serving and very filling. Absolutely delicious all around. Every bite tasted great. I will get this again and I highly recommend this to anyone who likes Korean food or fried chicken.

Yelp
Smaller storefront than their other location in Troy. I ordered takeout and the cashier was SOOO nice. She's so sweet and polite. I got the spicy rice cake and it was pretty good. Fairly spicy. But the to-go container it came in is so prone to spillage since my dish was saucy. It leaked in the bag. Overall, still delicious.

Yelp
I came here for a lunch stop while running errands in the area (it's located right across from Oakland Mall). It's small on the inside, and was fairly busy, but I was able walk right up to the counter and place my order. I didn't want a huge lunch, so I just opted for the potato dogs, because they come in a set of two. They were the perfect lunch for me! It's basically cheese on a stick, battered and potatoes added, and topped with sugar. Also, be sure to add the ketchup on top! It sounds like a weird combination, but it makes the dish complete. It got busier while I was eating inside, but the staff seemed to still get orders out on a timely manner. I definitely want to come back! The sassy fries, duk-bok-ki and bibimbap are next up on my to-try list!

Yelp
I went there twice in two days, that is how much I enjoyed Kimchi Box! In a world of bland American fast food, Kimchi Box is a breath of fresh air. It is a small strip mall shop with some seating and self-serve water service. I ordered the Popcorn Chicken box with Korean Sassy sauce. The sauce was perfectly spicy, the salad had a delicious lightly creamy dressing, and the japchae noodles were a nice addition. Service was not friendly and had good recommendations. My only complaint was that the rice was a smidge bland. Add some of their excellent sauce choices to liven it up.

Yelp
Very enjoyable. Fresh, hot and flawlessly fried and crispy. Pleasant staff, and done quickly. Do yourself a favor, this is crispy chicken, eat at the restaurant so it doesn't "de-crisp" by the tim you get it home.

Yelp
To start, the gentle person behind the counter was fabulous. They were very patient as we checked out the menu - which is a nice size, but not huge. The food itself. Oh man... SO delicious. I chose the chicken and avocado box. Scrumptious! Seriously! It was hot and fresh and had so much flavor. I ended up with leftovers, I also got the gyoza and that might have been why... and I ate those leftovers before the day was over. I highly recommend Kimchi box for anyone looking for some quality food with a great price and even better taste.

Yelp
Jonesing for some Korean fried chicken? This is the place! Choice of sauces, all you want to drink, so good, and that thin and super crispy chicken. Wings here, meaty and tender. Went back again the same week, it was so good. Great not-too-spicy sauces for people like me with shamefully low heat tolerances. Also have those cool potato cube covered corn dog battered fried cheese sticks. So bad for you, but soooo yummy. Clean place, good counter service. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Yelp
My partner and I had to come to Madison Heights to pick up a laptop at Micro Center. It was later in the afternoon, so we knew we wanted to find someplace new to try. After searching Yelp for what was close by, and what looked like the most fun and unique menu (there was a tie, by the way, so we shall stop at the other place next time.) We didn't know what to expect when we got there (and there is quite little up the street) and were not sure if we were going to eat inside (so small) but we had spent over an hour driving to Micro Center from where we live that eating dinner in the car didn't seem like such a great time even though we have done it. We opted to go ahead and stay once we got inside as there was no one there. As we sat there eating our meal -- no one stayed. It was literally pick-up order all night. I am not sure why no one stayed inside to eat. The staff is super friendly and answered all of our questions after we told them it was our first time here. There were quite a few tables and despite how small the dining area is, it didn't feel stuffy. Maybe so had there been a lot of bodies in there. I will be honest, I picked this place strictly for the pics of the Moz Dogs other reviewers had posted. But there were so many other unique items that caught our attention we will have to come back and try another day. The Moz Dogs didn't disappoint. The ooey gooey cheese with what tasted a lot like elephant ear or funnel cake batter was amazing. Coated in sugar, because that is what we all need in life, right? It is a good thing we only got 2, one for each of us. You really don't need more than that. Also, try it with the ketchup. Sounds gross and I rolled my eyes at it, too. But, seriously, so glad I tried it. Sassy fries. Best name ever for a plate of cheese fries with some sassy mayo and cream sauce. It's a whole lot of flavor fireworks going off in your mouth. Trust me. You will want to try them. The spicy pork box has just the right amount of kick. I wish I would have added the side of Kimchi for the extra $1. That was the only thing I would change. I cannot speak for the Royal Bulgogi box as I didn't try any of his meal. But I have had plenty of bulgogi in life, so I know its amazing when done right. He was completely happy with his box and stated more than once it's something he'd like to have again. Perhaps we can find something a little closer to home until our next trip south. If you are thinking about giving this place a try -- just do it. The food is fun and it's always good to try something new once in a while.

Yelp
Wow! Can't believe this great place is so close to me! My husband tried it when I was out of town one weekend, and last night we ordered it together. We shared the popcorn chicken & sassed up fries, an order of steamed pork dumplings & each had a bulgogi taco. Unfortunately I neglected to take pictures, because each dish was attractively packaged. The chicken with sauce was so good & we always love topped fries (or tater tots). The bulgogi taco was particularly good & a great value for its cost. Loved the dumplings too, although they are not puffy looking like the pictures. We had delivery thru DoorDash & everything was hot & delicious. Can't wait to order it again & maybe try some of the other items. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Absolutely love the lunch combo with popcorn chicken and upgrading the fries to sassy fries! Delicious crispy garlic soy chicken and crispy fries! Always fresh and hot when it arrives.

Yelp
It's was outstanding! We had the wings mix with soy glazed and the spicy one (which has a little kick, not too spicy). Also the Kimchi chicken sandwich and rice box. All was delicious and I would drive the 20 miles to get those crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside wings!

Yelp
The chicken was decent, but the food is insanely overpriced. It was like $100 for 3 people to eat and it's not nearly fancy, tasty, unique, or high quality enough for that. This is dark meat chicken and rice with simple sauce, not seared duck and champagne. Probably won't go back.

Yelp
So I used to be live in Michigan now in Philly. I went kimuchi box another place before. they have big Philly map on the wall. It's a sign for me to go to Philly then I moved to Philly... ( haha not true but I move to Philly) Any way I love Korean food but in Philly really can't find good one. I asked some Korean friend where to go.all are said H mart.! Yes they have food court. Very good one So now I am in Michigan for few days many Korean restaurants in Michigan ! happy me. We was so I decide to go to kimuch box because can't do sit long time I have to meet friends. I know food is good. But I know other location and It was little ago. But here I am. I ordered stone bi bim bap( they didn't have when I was in MI) and spicy pork box and chicken 2 kind sauce. I bite everything! all are so good. Stone Bi bim bap is more than good. More than many Korean restaurants in our area (S Philly) OMG so good . Box is also I can eat many stuff. Inside of box they have chapche ! I can't stop eat! Salad inside of box is very refreshing for my mouth ! Banchan (small appetizer) inside of box !! So you can try many food I can tell from picture. Chicken is also good. I can choose sauce my self ! Outside is very crunchy but inside is very juicy! Nice! But little sweet for my taste. If kimchi box is in Philly of cause my go to place!! I know that. Any way casher people are very nice. 1 person was new person ( still nice!) 1 woman is manager what she said . Both are so nice to talk with... I hope I will come back!!

Yelp
I ordered the Mozz dogs, bbq chicken tacos and rice. I was curious about the Korean corn dog. It was filled with mozzarella cheese and the dough was sugar coated. The bbq chicken taco was very tasty and fresh. The rice was okay. Nothing spectacular. All in all. I was very impressed. I will definitely order from here again.

Yelp
Interesting fast food place. Right across the street from Krispy Kreme on 14 Mile near Oakland Mall and it must have been a fast food place like checkers before it became the kimchi box. Nice Korean touch to their sandwiches be prepared for spicy cabbage and sauces on your food the chicken was great.

Jalen A.

Yelp
Some of the best and crispiest chicken I've had. Manager was very nice and personable. Can't think of his name but great service!

Norm R.

Yelp
Tried the Mozz Dogs...very flavorful and good hot mozzarella pull. Will definitely return to try something else from the menu.

Randa B.

Yelp
I had a great experience a day ago. I went to get my same order today and they wouldn't allow me to pay for 2 extra sides of meat for my noodles. I even showed my bank charge. It seems like they just don't to make money. Won't go to this location anymore. She even said my manager wants people to pay for the box. Lol but i don't eat all that. I would have literally have paid more for my order than the box so that doesn't make sense. Bad customer service.
