Kind courteous staff, and great food! The K-pop music in the background is also nice. To go containers are available for use at a table. Water and barley tea are free and self serve like traditional Korean restaurants.

The food is great, service is good! I've been here plenty of times. My family loves the chicken here.

As someone who lived in South Korea for five years, the food quality overall is pretty good. The price in comparison to what I'd get in Korea is way off though. I'll go here every now and again when I get a Bibimbop craving, but it hits me in the wallet when I think of the price difference.

The food is fresh and delicious, delivered to the table within minutes of ordering. Staff is super kind and describes each item in detail if you are unsure. The vibes and atmosphere were quiet and open. Definitely recommend this location and all of them in general if you want great Korean chicken.

Really good experience overall. Simple menu of mostly tacos and chicken. Opted for the thighs which were good but not spectacular. The breading and flavor was decent but the chicken itself was a bit stringy. Kimchi fries and pork taco were good additions. Clean and large space. You serve yourself by ordering up front and getting your own water and utensils which makes for a straightforward customizable experience.

I'm totally hooked on their popcorn chicken! I keep coming back to this place over and over again. They make it fresh when you order so you might have to wait a bit but let me tell you it's totally worth the wait. I can't get enough of their popcorn chicken with the Korean sassy sauce. It's a flavor explosion in every bite! And I also tried their japchae noodles. They were seriously yummy but I have to admit the portion size left me wanting more, especially for the price. On the bright side, the place is clean and the staff are super friendly. If you go, make sure to try their popcorn chicken. Trust me, you won't be let down!

Very tasty! Would highly recommend the sassy fries, Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the popcorn chicken box. It seemed like more options available in store than listed on the menu. Will definitely come back! Be prepared to wait maybe 10min, it’s very fresh!

Annyeonghaseyo, We were just traveling through and I happened to see it so I went in. I got the spicy pork box and kimchi. The food was excellent and the service was too. The lady at the counter was wonderful. We talked about BTS🫰. Gamsahamnida

Got the chicken teriyaki box and it didn't disappoint. Perfect amount of food and tasted great. Will be back for more!

I really like the casual fastfood/sit-in vibe they have here. Their service is pretty fast and the food is great. Just a bit overpriced now.

I always know what I'm in for when I come here. Food is consistently good and prices are reasonably affordable. My favorite menu item is their soy garlic chicken. Workers are very nice and even gave my boyfriend and I some small complimentary soup. Good sized space and interior is cozy. I like how they have water, hot tea, plates, cutlery, to go boxes, etc out for us to easily just grab at our own accord. I come here quite often!

One of my favorite takeout spots, it's quick clean and delicious. I have not dined in before but inside if very updated and nice. I almost everything I have tried is delicious so you can't go wrong!

Here is my star ratings: three means I go back, four means I make plans to go back, five means when I'm in town it's one of the first places I'm gonna go. I needed something different for a keto meal and it may have been a couple of cheats here, but the bibimbop over greens was delicious. I had the Bulgogi as well in my cheat was an order of six wings. This place is in the running for best keto meal in this area, right up there with the wrapped burger at The Burger Spot.

The Wings!!! What?! Crunchy sticky enormous spicy sweet wings. Definitely the best thing on the menu. Also had the Spicy Pork Kimchi Box with spicy mayo... this was just ok, nothing special. This was a to go order so didn't stay long inside. The inside was pretty big and had booths and tables. Service was very friendly. I'm coming back for the wings and maybe trying one of their chicken sandwiches.

A fine Korean bbq with a fast food casual feel. This one doesn't have grills as some others do but it was fast and very satisfying. Everyone was pleased with what they got. I got a chicken sandwich which was really terrific. And for those looking for the old camp experience they have a place to put your trays with marked tubs for plates and silverware I would come back

Food is freshly made to order, so be prepared for a little wait. Service was polite and helpful. Loved the boneless chicken wings - on point crunch and flavor. Really enjoyed the Duk-Bok-Ki, which is sweet and spicy and chewy. Restaurant is a good size, but I bet they get busy during peak hours. High ceilings mean it can get loud.

Absolute stunned at the owner of this place. I went in for take out. I ordered VERY CLEARLY Kimchi FRIED RICE and a small order of wings. I get home and look in the bag and they gave me the wings and kimchi french fries. WHO TF eats kimchi french fries? I would never order that. I've order dozens of times from this place and always order traditional korean food. They know me in there. The owner today decided that instead of making it right today she wanted to argue with me that I ordered fries as if I didn't know wtf I ordered. I said Kimchi fried rice, the same thing I've ordered at least a half dozen times. So instead of being humble and making it right, she starts an argument. NEVER have I seen customer service like that. Now couple that with how they raised prices and reduced portion size I would absolutely avoid this place. An otherwise good restaurant ruined by a shitty owner/manager. If she had done what any other respectable place would do and accept responsibility and make it right, we would be good. NEVER AGAIN!

I tried Kimchi Box for the first time with a delivery order of 3 tacos plus rice. So this review does not have anything to do with the restaurant interior (will visit in person another time). My tacos were really tasty. I ordered 3 different ones. The portion size was perfect. The flavor profiles were delicious. And the rice was yummy, too. I can't wait to visit in person and sample additional items from the menu. There is so much to choose from.

I was pleased with my visit when I came here! I ordered the popcorn chicken box: the soy garlic sauce had a great sweet and salty contrast, the chicken was crunchy on the outside but juicy on the inside, and went very well with the purple rice. The japchae ("glass" noodles made from sweet potato starch) had good flavor. The salad was cool and refreshing. It came with a good variety of items to make up a full meal. The person I ate with ordered a bibimbap: it was a huge portion, but bland, according to her (the flavor all came from the gochujang sauce) I will say, the timing was a bit off: the bibimbap came out almost instantaneously, but my popcorn chicken took another 15 minutes...so I was pretty hungry waiting for my food to be prepared. The atmosphere inside is bright and open, and good for conversation. The popcorn chicken is great and I'd definitely recommend trying that here!

Tasty! The service was just okay, but we enjoyed the food from this quaint restaurant. We would definitely go back. The prices are on the higher side, but it's worth stopping by.

Love the chicken wings & chicken sandwich. Haven't tried any else yet. Some of the staff are not concerned about customer service, busy on their phones or talking with other employees.

Woman was so rude when I picked up my order. That was bad enough. But then I found a long black hair in my food. Gross. I will never go back.

Food was great! My daughter and I had the chicken sandwich and we both loved what we got. The woman at the counter was very rude like we were inconveniencing her by our presence. Then she rudely reminded us that we need to bus our own table. I hope she develops better customer service, maybe that's why we were the only 2 people in the whole place.

I was in the area and wanted a quick bite so I made a pit stop at Kimchi Box and I'm so glad I happened to pop in! The Dukbokki was fabulous and it had the perfect amount of spice and the rice cakes were on point and not mushy or undercooked. I tried a variety of tacos and they were all delicious and packed full of flavor. They were also absolutely stuffed with toppings, which is always a plus. Portion size? Amazing. Taste? Pretty good but I miss Seoul Street :( We got the medium size chicken wings with the hot sauce, japchae, and sassy fries. The wings were great--large, juicy, crispy. BUT they're definitely not spicy... and not quite the same as the korean fried chicken Seoul Street had. The japchae was yummy but sweeter than your average japchae, and the veggies are different. The sassy fries were also good but not spicy. All in all, food tasted pretty good but definitely felt a lot more fusion than authentic. I will give this place props though because I was late to pick up my food for takeout, like 45 minutes late, and the chicken and fries were STILL crispy!!

Walked into an empty room and got to the cashier without a word said to me awkwardly for 2 minutes as I looked at the menu, followed by an eventual "what do you want?". Zero eye contact. Zero follow up questions. Just a "take your number" after I ordered. I understand busy but I was literally the only person here. Food may have kept me as a customer, but based on the service, I'm never coming back.

I've been wanting to check this spot out for a while now! I've been seeing it on all the food delivery apps with great reviews. Decided to order takeout, order was HOT and ready when I arrived. Wings (Korean Sassy Sauce)- 10/10 WOW. The crunch on these were amazing. Double fried deliciousness. The sauce was bomb! Pretty spicy, so if you can't handle spice these aren't for you. Bulgogi Taco- didn't like this. Meat was a dry and the flavor was just meh. Moz Dogs- really wish you could order just one, instead of 2. Pretty sweet with the sugar on the outside. I've had better Korean corn dogs from other spots (mostly in LA). I wish I ordered the potato dogs instead. Overall I'd definitely come back for the wings and chicken. I can't wait to try the popcorn chicken box with the Korean sassy sauce!

A complete waste of $13. I got the popcorn chicken. First they screwed up my order and also didn't include my side of sauce. Second - it was awful. I think it's made with chicken thighs, and not white meat from the look of it. I had two bites and tossed it out. I thought it would be So much better from the reviews.

Food was very good. Sauce and presentation were great. Unfortunately, the short hair lady behind the counter was not friendly at all. She ignored me when I said hi. Again, no response from her when I said thank you. She was friendly to the two different groups of Asians. I hate saying that...maybe she just doesn't like me. In any case, she should act differently when acting with all customers. She individually lost 1-2 stars in this rating.

Yummy!! Win-Win! I love Korean food and my hubby loves wings so this place is great for us. I got the spicy pork BiBimBop (tons of veggies: bean sprouts, cucumber, carrots, radish, cabbage, corn, lettuce, noodles and egg) which is huge! You can choose up to 2 sauces for the wings. Korean sassy- is spicy, Supreme-is ketchup, brown sugar and cinnamon and Soy garlic is a soy sauce based sauce. We ordered a carry-out which is has always been fast and easy. Great service at the counter. There were several people dining in, they have a few booths and several tables. This place is casual and I would be comfortable dining in also. So happy this place is in the area!

I was in the area and have always wanted to try this place. There is plenty of seating inside and natural light. At the front, they have utensils, water, plates, and napkins so you can seat yourself after ordering and clean up after yourself when you're done. I tried the spicy popcorn chicken box with the sassy sauce. I chose the sassy sauce over soy garlic because I wanted more of a kick. It was more of a sweet and sour sauce but it was good. Sassy fries were delicious and had great flavor. I loved the aesthetic of the popcorn chicken box, salad had a spicy ginger sauce and the noodles were light. I also shared a chicken sandwich, it was good but I wish it had more spice to it. Overall good experience and would come back again!

I have been waiting to try this place since it hit our side of town. We tried when they first opened, but everyone had the same idea, so it was a no-go. It was worth the wait! Even with the delivery (super quick) everything was perfectly hot. First, I ordered a set of the Korean sugar covered cheese corn dogs. They were like giant mozzarella sticks with a crispy shell rolled in sugar on a stick, so good. Next, we moved onto a pair of bulgogi tacos. They were super tender with crispy lettuce, radish, and onion with the juice from kimchi. It was a little salty, kind of spicy, and then refreshing. So good! For dinner my wife ordered the bulgogi bento meal with no sesame seeds. The bulgogi was, once again awesome and tender. There was a side of salad, jaepche (sweet potato noodles), pickled radish, and purple rice. There was plenty left over for breakfast. For my dinner I ordered the bbq chicken bento box (sassy style). This had the same sides as the other bento box, which was perfect. The chicken was bite sized versions of Korean sweet and spicy wings. Amazing! This was a perfect meal. We look forward to trying everything else on the menu and hope you do too!

Delicious bibimbap! The restaurant is a nice spacious place to eat and socialize. It was my fault for showing up 30-45 minutes before closing. The lady taking orders was kind enough to get my dine-in order out fast, but depending on how busy it is there, it might take awhile to get your takeout order. Also, the gochujang is only free if you dine in. My friend had to pay extra for the sauce for her to go order since there wasn't time to eat in.

Great service and delicious Korean Food. Order the Kimbap, Kim Chee, Korean Sassy Chicken, Dumplings, and Bubble Tea. The place is very spacious and calm.

Mmm Korean. Been to the one on the east side. Ordered side of more kimchi, tteokbokki, kimchi fries, 2 chicken bbq tacos, moz dogs, bbq chicken bibimbap with the egg well done and in a stone pot (extra $1.50 for the stone pot.) The booths still smells like the varnish from the tables. Our table we picked at the end of the row was not bussed and was dirty, we bussed it ourselves to sit away from other folks. The kimchi fries are yummy, spicy from the chopped kimchi. The tteokbokki is okay, rice cakes are too few and rather soft too, now chewy enough for me. The moz dogs are super cheesy, not bad. The sugary coating is decent. The ketchup dip doesn't work for me though. The Asian pear juice is quite sweet. The bbq chicken dolsot bibimbap is okay, not a big fan of the glass noodles, kale or corn or black beans in this version much at all. Corn is not my thing in most dishes anyways. Beans just nothing for me and I don't like kale so much on its own and it's not a good replacement for spinach for me either. My egg yolk wasn't cooked or well done for me either. I do like the red bean rice instead of the plain rice for a change at least. The food and experience wasn't as good as our first time at the kimchi box.

I arrived as soon as they opened. I ordered the bibimbap with no added protein + hot stone bowl (+$1.50). There are self service stations where you can get your water, tea, utensils, and a place to put your dirty dishes. I was so excited for the tea but it was cold. I guess it takes awhile for that huge thing to heat up. My bibimbap came out smoking hot, so hot the rice was completely burnt! I told and showed the woman (owner?) and she took my spoon and checked herself! At first she said it's because it is a hot bowl. But I told her the rice is black and I can't eat it! She ordered a new one for me but the second one (not pictured) that I got had less ingredients (no black beans) and the portion was smaller. It tasted good but the rice wasn't even crispy this time around, maybe they were afraid to burn the rice again?!

My aunt lives nearby and I was looking for something to bring home for dinner after leaving her house this evening. I have had Kimchi Box on my radar ever since Korean hot dogs showed up on Yelp's summer 2021 food trends list and I was excited to see them open a location closer to me than Sterling Heights! No hesitation, I decided to place an order there! My husband selected the bulgogi bibimbop and I went with the soy garlic chicken wings and a side of rice (I would have gone fries but I wasn't sure they'd hold up the 20 minute drive home) and OF COURSE we went with the corn dogs. Ordering online was easy and less than 20 minutes later I was in and out with my order. Everything held up REALLY well on the drive home. The chicken was still crispy, the bibimbop was hot, and the corn dogs? The smell that came out when I opened the container was heavenly. Like a circus funnel cake stand. It's half mozzarella and half hot dog coated in breading, fried and dusted in sugar. Now, I love a sweet and salty joint so this did not disappoint. Despite the drive, the cheese was really gooey (I'd show you the cheese pull but my face in the shot was not cute!) and the dusting of sugar on the fluffy coating was like a nice pancake more than anything. SO good. I'm not sure I loved the hot dog portion (it seemed like maybe a veggie dog? It wasn't a traditional hot dog as far as I could tell) but the cheese and sweet breading together were so good I'd get it again and again. My chicken wings were delicious and VERY meaty. 6 come in an order and I'm happy to have leftovers. The rice wasn't anything to write home about. I'd probably skip it next time and roll the dice on fries. My husband really liked his bibimbop, too! FYI--they don't have an official sign up on the strip mall yet (it still shows as the sushi place) so I was a little confused pulling up looking for the store front. It wasn't until I saw their banner hanging in the window that I got it. So just an FYI to look out for that should you have any trouble finding them.

Yum, yum, yum. Chicken was very crispy. We got the soy garlic and Korean Sassy. Both were delicious. The firs were pretty good but I would prefer my fries a little more crispier. Will definitly order again.

Great lil fast casual Korean restaurant located at the intersection of 5 mile and beck. This intersection is quickly becoming a hub for food and shopping. And it seems this place may have been one of the original founding fathers (maybe not? Seems like it's been there for some time...) so to speak? Or maybe I'm distracted by the local Home Depot to not notice how the surrounding area has sprouted up since covid. For those fellow bibimbap lovers, this is a great spot to scratch the itch. I swung through on a Friday for lunch. Place was clean, couple sit down diners inside. Seems that it's set up to order at the counter... take care of the water/ napkins/ cleaning yourself. Grab a number once the order is paid for and wait for the deliciousness. Family friendly, for sure... but wouldn't be bad to take a (2nd-3rd) date to. Somewhat intimate. But more "fast". Great online ordering platform. Paired with DoorDash. Took me about 20 minutes (maybe less) to get my order in and picked up. Perfect lunch getaway. Will be back because someone had the chicken inside and that looked delicious.

I come here looking forward to having authentic Korean food but it wasn't really authentic one. Bi bim bap has so many veggies that usually not in the dish.I felt like it is just salad over rice. French fries with kimchi was just ok. Over all they are lacking flavors and it was just blunt taste. Personably I wasn't impressed.

We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, sassy Korean fried chicken and bibimbap. I've probably been spoiled by the great fried chicken places in northern Virginia. This chicken was dry and too strongly seasoned! Nearly inedible. Bibimbap was interesting because it came with ingredients I normally don't see used like japchae, corn and black beans. The white part of the egg was unfortunately undercooked! Didn't like that they ask you for a tip but it's self service! They even ask you to clean up your own table. I'm glad I tried it, but I certainly won't be coming back here.

This was a great lunch spot to stop in and enjoy. The water, utensils, and napkins are all serve yourself. No muss, no fuss. We got the bibimbap, half and half wings, and a bulgogi taco. Everything was delicious! I really appreciated that they brought out the gochujang and spicy mayo to put however much you want on the bibimbap. I so wish this place was closer to us in west MI. Whenever I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back!

Literally my favorite place to order food. I moved and live 40 min away now and still will come up to order food from here. The staff is also so incredibly nice, they have cute Kpop music playing all the time, and it's super beautiful inside. My favorite things to order are their chicken with the Korean sassy sauce, and the brown milk tea with boba! I've never been disappointed!

Korean fried chicken joints seem to have been popping up all over the metro Detroit area recently and Kimchi Box is definitely my favorite thus far! We had ordered the spicy, soy garlic, and honey butter wings. All were delicious and had a great crunch. We had also ordered kimchi fries as well as the Korean corndogs which were also very tasty! Needless to say, I will be coming again soon

We were invited to a foodie event at this location! it was where we got to try some amazing newly released items! They are mainly known for the fried chicken dish, and we could certainly see why! It was juicy and filled with an avalanche of flavor. We also got to enjoy their different types of delicious tacos too, corn dogs, chicken sandwiches, but their newest item we got to exclusively taste would be the Korean sweet toast, it was an off menu item we tried with delicious fried eggs, cabbage, sauced with mayo. Everything was very fresh and beyond words nothing we've ever had before. We absolutely loved Kimchi's, it really did have quite the play on Korean food, it's Non traditional! I mean have you ever heard of a Korean corn dog? We met with the owner himself Min Kyu Kim and he's actually the first in Michigan to have Korean street food like this! It was crazy to us how the owner put his own twist on the traditional Korean items. Blew our minds! It really was very tasteful! We will be back hungry for more especially excited for the newer items they released to the public!

We ordered the Kimchi Box and the Bibimbap with 2 added proteins. The food came in a timely manner, the portion size was good for the price, and the taste was really good too. However, one of the added protein items was missing. And I probably wouldn't call the Bibimbap 100% authentic. The staff behind the counter was very friendly but left a little overwhelmed impression. There is plenty of seating inside and a lot of natural light. Be aware that once you have ordered it's mainly self-serve. You seat yourself and in the front you get everything you need like water, utensils, plates and napkins. Then, once you have finished your meal, you clean up after yourself and are good to go again. Overall I would say we enjoyed our visit but will most likely order takeout next time.

The space was big and clean. This is more of a self service restaurant. They prepared iced water, tea, utensils, take out box, high chair on the side and customers will help themselves. I ordered Bulgogi bento. It was great price, came with salad, japchae and rice. I also got soy garlic and Korean sassy wings. The flavor was great but not super crispy.

Korean fried chicken! YUM! The double fried method will always guarantee a crispy bite each time. These traveled well as carry out. I was so impressed with the quality and taste when my husband brought it home. The only thing is tacos can be a little soggy if you get it as carry out but the chicken and Korean corn dogs were bomb!! I recommend doing 50/50 with the sauce to try both the soy garlic and spicy sauce.

Wanted to love this place but couldn't. It sounds better than it is which is disappointing. They have good Korean fried chicken - wings, thighs, or popcorn chicken bites that you can get enough for two in a small size box. Their soy garlic sauce is the way to go. The BBQ bulgogi bento boxes here are a great amount of food but nothing is really that great in it. The purple rice was yummy but the bulgogi itself was just okay not much flavor. However, the Honey butter fries were delicious! I would probably come back again just for those.

Checked out a new local spot recommended by family. We had carry out and wings held up well to stay crispy. Spicy pork taco was well seasoned and the slaw added nice balance. Kimchi fries were tasty, cheese wasn't 100% melted but still a hit with the kids. I had three kinds of wings, all well seasoned, and crispy! Soy garlic- sweet soy and garlic taste was good. I would prefer more garlic Sassy - Korean sweet and spicy. Had some heat which all enjoyed. Honey butter- reminded me of the Korean honey butter chip. I really liked it. Great balance to have with the sassy. Will come back next time I'm in town.

OMG!!! This place is amazing! Wish we had one in SC. We had the boneless chicken in soy garlic and duk-bokki and was yummy. Very flavorful.

I just had dinner here with my kids. Food was ok but extremely spicy with small portions. The worst part was that the Korean woman at the counter was very rude. She was only friendly to non-Korean customers. I've been to several different "Kimchi Box" and never had a bad experience until today. Never coming back to this location again.

So happy that they opened a new location in Plymouth! This is the perfect Korean/fusion restaurant around. Pros: Affordable Friendly employees Good location Large menu Cons: None really! Can't wait to try out more items One suggestion-- the fries are put in such a tall box that only the top gets covered in the sauce, maybe put the fries in a shallower box so the sauce gets more evenly distributed!
