Kimchi Princess - Review - Kreuzberg - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Out of the many great restaurants in Kreuzberg, Kimchi Princess is a standout, especially if you’re looking for an exciting place to eat before or after hanging out by the canal or in Görlitzer Park. Make yourself comfortable at one of the big wooden tables inside or out, and bring friends so you can do the grill-at-your-table Korean barbecue. After you’ve filled up on bulgogi and banchan, wash it down with some Cass, a Korean beer, and roll yourself home." - Cindy Brzostowski

Kimchi Princess in Berlin was one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had! It’s a Korean BBQ where you cook the meat yourself at the table, and I loved the whole setup and presentation. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the side dishes were amazing, everything was full of flavor. A fun, delicious, and unforgettable dining experience. Definitely a 5-star spot!

Google
Spacious restaurant and friendly staff, generous portion but the taste is too sweet for me. Will be back for Bbq. When u order bbq, staff will take care the pan and cut the meat for you

Google
The restaurant has an amazing vibe, urban, very red and communal. There are lots of tables you can share with others. The food is unbelievable! I got a seafood stew and my friend a chicken salad! The portion size is pretty good and honestly can’t wait to go back and try the bbq! The only down side is that you will come out smelling like you cooked the meal for everyone😂 but I would do it again soon because the food is worth the smelly jacket!

Google
We ordered BBQ beef and hot spicy chicken. We just waited a few min in line. Despite it being dinner time and the restaurant being quite busy, the service was very fast. We enjoyed both dishes a lot, especially the chicken and its sauce, which were exceptionally tasty. We sat inside, and although there was a lot of BBQ smoke, it wasn't bothersome. Overall, we liked everything we ate. The only negative point I can mention is that we ordered one portion of BBQ beef, but two portions were served. When we asked for a correction, we were told it wasn’t possible. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Google
Super nice place with a great vibe. Excellent food; we chose the Korean bbq beef and chicken, amazing staff who cooks for you. Fair pricing.

Google
We ordered beef bulgogi, kimchi pancake, makgeolli, and a bottle of strong soju with the red cap. There was something romantic about following a Korean tradition — enjoying pancake and makgeolli on a rainy day — right here in Berlin. The outdoor seating is spacious and well-covered, so you can still sit outside even when it rains. Sipping soju under the red lighting brought back such good memories of Korea. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall vibe of the place was just perfect..

Google
I loved it! Best Korean BBQ experience ever! I’ve tried some other places but I loved this one. Professional and friendly staff, food over the top and incredible atmosphere. I need to come back again soon!

Google
Had a great time at this Korean restaurant as they serve quite authentic Korean food. However, it gets very noisy, and the ventilation can be improved. All the smoke coming out of everyone’s bbq is trapped inside, which made it difficult to breathe. The banchan (side dishes) and the soup were delicious, but the bulgogi was a bit dry.

Yelp
Made a reservation with a large group for a Saturday night so you KNOW it's gonna be busy. But nevertheless we had a really good time. Each KBBQ is around 20€ per person. We picked the Bulgogi beef. It was soooo good. They have servers come around and cook the food for you (ours came about three times and chopped up the meat too). It was nice but my German isn't good so I could never tell if he said it was ready to eat or not lol. If you're coming during the day you're probably fine but if you wanna come on an evening or weekend you should definitely make a reservation.

Yelp
TL;DR - Great Korean food, cool venue and good vibes. Came here on the recommendation of a friend who said it was great pre-COVID. We came a few years later, but his judgement still stacked up. It was a hot evening when we arrived and the outdoor seating was packed but there was space to sit inside. We went for bibimbap and beer - not the most original of choices but everything was delicious. Prices were reasonable, staff were friendly and the whole place had a warm and bustling atmosphere. We'd definitely come back.

Yelp
It was okkkk. Considering how packed it was on a random Wednesday night, it's considered more than acceptable by Germans' standards. In the US/Korea, it would never survive. The shining star of the meal was surprisingly the kimchi pancake. Unlike the large but soft circular pancake we are used to, here they have a smaller amount cut in triangles and semi-crispy?! It was a very nice touch to the bite. It could have used more kimchi flavor though. The soondubu and doenjang jjigae was for sure the worst. Someone wrote online that the soups were like those in Korea...they must've never been to Korea and made crap up. The soups were bland with no flavor. Definitely watered down the amount of soup base/paste used for flavoring. Do not order these. The galbi was flavorless and probably not marinated. It tasted like regular beef/steak. The samgyupsal was good! Thank goodness! Server was perfect. Excellent service. Food desperately needs improvement. Or maybe not since it seems the Germans like it enough for their palette. But if you are looking for authentic Korean food, this is not it.

Yelp
I came here with a group of people for dinner, the restaurant was much bigger than I expected. there were seats for people prefer lower table, really nice idea. Soon we sat down, the service came along and gave as the menu. We already did decided waht to order before we got to this place, but I still had a quick look. it seems like there are many options amd the price is also a bit higher, but still acceptable. I saw there also have special lunch offer. probably will try some of them next time. This time we just stay with the BBQ meal. We ordered the bbq beef which not spicy. the staff got everything ready and then just cooked it for us on our table, at the same time he explained how we should eat it, in order to tasted it right way. Basically, we shouldn't mix the food. meats first and rice later or the other way around. personaly, I prefer the taste when it mix together. I did treid the way he told as first. The meal was great, we all like it a lot. The staff were really nice, they gave us some more side dishes when we finished our first around. For extra rice they will charge it though. Overall, I think this is one of the cool Korean restaurants to have some nice food.

Yelp
I think this place is pricy for Berlin but holy moly my bibimbap was SO good! I was tired and in a pretty terrible mood when I arrived so I was really *absorbing* the ambiance, but as soon as I tried my food I was lost in bibim-paradise. The perfect amount of spice, the meat was nice quality, the egg, the veggies, the huge portion!! Only complaint is that kimchi is pretty expensive for a tiny portion, I'm confused why because in other cities (mainly the US now that I think about it) kimchi is...free...and they bring it to you like refills. I've been really yearning for spiced food so the kimchi was perfect for me to add to my dish. Honey tea was very sweet, probably wouldn't get it again.

Yelp
I could not decide between Kimichi Princess and Angry Chicken, but I decided on Kimchi Princess because I did not feel like getting my hands dirty for dinner. I went on a Saturday at about 6:30pm, so it was not packed yet, and I also got outdoor seating without a problem. The staff are really nice and the service was wonderful throughout dinner. + Food: I ordered the daeji galbi (13,50 Euros) because I was craving lots of meat. At first, it did not look appetizing because of the way it was marinated, but it was actually quite good and spicy -- I like spicy. The side dishes were in threes and comes with rice, but I wish I could have selected/gotten the glass noodles because I really prefer that over kimchi or zucchini (wish they had pickled cucumbers instead). Also, the grill would have been so amazing if I had not eaten by myself. ): + Drink: Ordered Carlsberg vom Fass. I am not much of a beer drinker so much as I am a Schnapps kind of person, but it was actually quite tasty and, unlike other beers, it did not make me want to gag, good sign! It is also 4,50 Euros for 0,5L. + Social vibe: This place gives off a hipster feel. It is very lively and full of different kinds of people: whether that be from Berlin or other countries. People just seem to be very social here! - Turn-off: I was kind of skeptical of the meal I would be getting at such a steep price, but I will say that this meal was probably worth the 21,- Euros I spent (w/ tip), but if I had been eating with someone else and ordered the grill, I am sure I would have been more satisfied. + Overall: After my meal, I seriously felt really stuffed. I would definitely come here again.

Yelp
Let's start right of the bat! Kimchi Princess is a korean restaurant located in Kreuzberg. I went there to celebrate the korean teachers day with the "Koreanisches Kulturzentrum". And at the first glance I was suprised by its dim red light. It gave off a different vibe, really special. So, to continue, the staff was really nice, just how you would expect to be treated, nothing extraordinary. But now, let's get to the food. To be honest, it was a pain to wait so long for the food. But it's understandable by the huge amount of guests they have. The portion size was like in any other korean restaurant I visited, pretty large, but worth it's price. The food was really tasty, of course I chose the (korean pork). We ordered a whole menu, so there was really much food. So, you also have to know that there are 2 etages, Unfortunately I sat in the first floor, but it wasn't all that bad. The table ,I sat at ,was really long! So all in all, I would give it 4 stars, cause it's a solid restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food served for an understandable price. It just didn't have that certain indefinable something. But even so, it's recommendable Enjoy your stay! I hope I could help you out

Yelp
This was my first time trying Korean and it was very good here. The portions are large, so you will likely have enough to take home. The waiter was very helpful and able to advise on what sauces to get. There were several side dishes to integrate into your meal without having to commit to anything. He was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant has cute decor with a large seating area indoors and outdoors, so it would be good for a group. It has an upscale feel but is affordable.

Yelp
The past week I've been craving dumplings, so I figured a visit to Kimchi Princess was in order, considering it's so near and I'd never been. We arrived around 4 or 5pm on a Sunday, which was perfect for getting a prime pick of seating. I didn't actually go inside so I don't know what that's like, but the outdoor seating is plentiful and in a covered area. Kimchi Princess has a lunch menu, which is a pick of an entree that comes with miso soup and a soft drink for less than €10. It's good until 6pm every day, so it's definitely the way to go. I got the vegan bibimbap and the fellow got the vegetarian one, and we also split an order of dumplings. The miso was unspectacular, but the dumplings were good, though they brought them out 5-10 minutes after the entrees, which I found a bit strange. The bibimbap was also tasty and the presentation was nice. However, though I am no expert on Korean food at all, only having had it once before, I didn't think the bibimbap was as flavorful or exciting as it could have been. The hot sauce had a nice flavor and wasn't too hot, but I definitely had to add soy sauce to the meal. I also think I would have liked more kimchi in the bowl, and tofu with some kind of marinade (maybe fried in soy sauce?) would have made it tastier. The crunchy-ish rice at the bottom of the bowl was awesome though; if you get the bibimbap, definitely get it cooked in the hot stone bowl. I am sure I will be back here at some point for "lunch," as it really is a good, healthy, relatively affordable meal. But I also want to try out other Korean spots in town, because I have a feeling (and have been told) that there are more authentic and less expensive bibimbaps to be had.

Yelp
Fun and busy place ! Haemul pancake was crispy and authentic. Two thumbs up. I BbQ ed pork belly it comes w green onion salad which is very authentic and good and Ssamjang and ssam lettuce. All good

Yelp
How much cheaper are the other Korean restaurants in Berlin? After reading the Yelp reviews, I expected Kimchi Princess to be outrageously expensive. But compared to Korean restaurant prices in California and in Washington D.C., I thought that there was no price differential to complain about. The ambiance reminded me of pojangmachas in Korea, which are small tented restaurants that symbolize the street food of Korea. The drinks menu is awesome, as the restaurant has a full bar and can whip up nice cocktails in addition to soju and makgeolli (Korean creamy rice liquor). I came here with my dad and he ordered a Mr. Park, which is also his surname. He was quite amused. We shared the seafood pancake and the bulgogi on the grill. I prefer my seafood pancake to be thin and with a caramelization on the top, forming a nice crust. But Kimchi Princess prepared its dish half an inch thick, more like an omelette than a traditional Korean pancake. However, the bulgogi was marinated perfectly, hitting the right balance of sweet and salty, and was quite tender. I would come back for the bulgogi and more of the Mr. Park cocktails!

Yelp
Trendy, chic, and puristic. I had an interesting experience at Kimchi Princess. I loved the chic decor and the community feel to the restaurant. The average patron is anywhere between people in their twenties to people in their forties. However, I had to wait about an hour to get my food. At first, I would sure I was going to give this restaurant one star. One hour wait, and no explanation from the server at first. However, as the night went on and my patience waited it out, it looked like I was in for a pleasant surprise. The restaurant more than compensated for their delay by giving us an extra portion of beef bugolgi and side dishes. We also ended up with a free shot of Soju and our angry neighbors left appetizer (they didn't touch it). Our server was lovely. The food tasted delicious and I loved my beef bugolgi. It tasted sweeter and better than the ones I've had in California. Their coconut water is also the best coconut water I've ever had. I would probably go back then do some bar hopping in the neighborhood. Fun!

Yelp
I liked the ambiance and the friendly, quick, service, but alas the food was actually below average. Tip: Avoid the pajeon/pancakes at all cost Kimchi pancake - There was barely any kimchi in it, or else it did not impart in this pancake.--All I could taste was pancake. The dipping sauce made it better. Seafood Pancake - no seafood flavor-- all I could taste was egg- next to us two girls from South Korea ordered the same thing and they left half of their pancake. Banchan (side dishes) were pretty bland in general - the kimchi didn't have the punchy flavors I was accustomed to, Samgyoepsal (pork belly)- pretty good, came with some atypical spicy cabbage slaw and lettuce Bulgogi - swimming in the marinating liquid, very flavorful. Overall it was an okay meal -- yes it is pretty pricey, especially the sangyoepsal which is considered to be the party meal of choice for poor students in South Korea. But hey, if they can get Germans (especially the older, wealthier clientele dotted throughout the restaurant) to pay for it, more power to them.

Yelp
Best vegan Korean BBQ in town. Fast and friendly service, nice and cozy but also trendy atmosphere. Definitely a recommendation!

Yelp
Kimchi Princess is one of the first restaurants I tried in Berlin and will always be a favorite. I call it a 'modern take on Korean' as most of it's dishes are traditional, but with some modern twists. Favorites include the bul nak (spicy octopus and beef mixed on grill), bibimbap (most legit I've had vs. Core, Mercosy), and homemade iced tea (hibiscus I think). I don't think you can really go wrong here. The restaurant is large and spacious with outdoor seating, AND the staff is attentive! (rare in Berlin). When we ordered the Korean BBQ / bul nak, the waiter spent time to explain to us the process and came back several times to make sure the meat was cooked to the right level, and turned off the heat as to prevent overcooking. Highly recommend it! For their casual fast food joint, walk down the street to Angry Chicken at Heinrichplatz.

Yelp
Disappointed!!! The service is so slow because they're clearly understaffed. My friend and I got the samgyeopsal BBQ. It was overpriced and kept sticking to the grill. The meat and grill were obviously bad quality. The banchan was semi fresh but the kimchi was pretty bad. It was also ridiculously expensive for no good reason. However, we got soju cocktails and they were tasty! The freshest thing was the lettuce they gave us for our BBQ. I definitely won't go back because I can get a much better deal elsewhere.

Yelp
I absolutely love kimchi princess and used to love going there when I lived in Berlin! Atmosphere: amazing:) i love the design, maybe a bit too dark but certainly fun. Food: i love it! The korean bbq is extremely tasty and proper portions. Their bibimbap is also very yummy. Their kimchi is absolutely recommendable:) green tea tiramisu also a must. Cant wait to return!

Yelp
Right when you walk in your mouth will start to water from all the insanely good smells!! This place is very good and a blast on date night or with friends! Urban vibes, love the inside ambiance! Have fun grilling your meat right at your table, don't worry if your having fun with sake- the staff checks on you frequently when the fire is going :) Make sure to try all of the sauces and sides they bring to you! Reservation needed nights and weekends.

Yelp
Really disappointed. 23euro for Ros Gui, which is thin sliced ribeye, just doesnt make sense. They sell it as Kalbi Ros Gui, but thats not really galbi, not the one you'd expect from korea or staples in US in LA or NYC. Meat was not really fresh. There were some brown patches on the meat indicating oxidation. Again, 23euro for subpar meat is just wrong. Also ordered mul mandoo for the table. Mandoos were hard and a bit stale on the sides. Tasted like it was frozen for a while. Really wanted to like kimchi princess, but overall just really disappointed. Oh also, they charge extra for banchan... come on man, foreal?

Yelp
Made reservation for a Tuesday evening and took a friend for my birthday dinner. Arrived at 6:30pm, table was ready and hardly any guests there, perfect. Starters, steamed beef Mandu and for the main dish, GALBI ROS GUI, entrecote bbq beef. The Mandu were awesome, we should have ordered 3 of 'em. and then the entrecote arrived, oh my! Waiter was very friendly and even explained how to eat it, the side dishes, garnishes were equally stunning and delicious. This is something one could eat all night and not get full. I have to go back and try the rest of the menu. Sure, it is not on the cheap side, but you get what you pay for, and it's well worth it. PS: If the place is really crowded the smell is getting bad, due to the many table- side grills, so get there early!

Yelp
The best!!!! Food was incredible and the service was literally some of the best I've ever had in berlin. I reserved a table and menu for our group of nine and everyone left absolutely stuffed and happy. The cocktails were creative and bursting with fresh ingredients (only critique is that I wish they were just a bit stronger). We got one of the BBQ menus and loved everything, especially the fried veggies in the beginning + the marinated beef. The chicken and vegetarian options we ordered were pretty spicy, which I was fine with, but maybe some people probably wouldn't enjoy. To keep it short and sweet, I would love to come back and would recommend kimchi princess for large groups!

Yelp
I've heard a lot now about Kimchi Princess - a lot of bad and good. That it's too expensive, that it's a modern take on korean cuisine.. Now I finally went there myself and my impression was that it's a very good restaurant with food that really does differ from other korean houses. First, the ambiente there is really nice. They have outdoor seating with a rustical brick wall and indoor seating with korean style low wooden benches amd tables. The whole thing has a very cozy and homely feel to it. I went there with a friend and we had Ojingeo Bokkeum (fried spicy squid) and Dweji Galbi (pork spare ribs). The food was quite nice, the marinade on the Galbi was reeeaally delicious! The price was okay - not very cheap, but also not too expensive. A big plus was that the waiters were very attentive and very friendly. The restaurant was packed, but we still didn't have to wait too long to order and we were served quite quickly. I'll definitely come back again here, if I want some fancy korean food.

Yelp
Nice food, reasonable price, good service. We enjoyed everything UNTIL our Korean friend paid the bill, and the waiter asked her in Korean, "so you are not paying tip?!" with a hostile look on his face. We were in fact paying quite a bit of tip, because we loved what we had. But even if we didn't.... did our friend deserve such an impolite treatment? We didn't understand their language, could only tell from his facial expression that something unpleasant was going on. After knowing what happened, we decided to go back to talk to this waiter, even when our Korean friend was worried that he would cause her more embarrassment. We went back in to tell him that it was not nice to treat our friend this way. He didn't feel sorry at all, but was very rude and shouting at us. He sweared at my friend in Korean, calling her "bitch". A lady showed up to ask why we were offended (we thought she was the manager but not exactly sure). She was nice but all chilled about what happened, saying that he's usually not like this. That's it. It takes a lot of effort to manage a good restaurant. We were happy to have found one, what a pity that one single person can ruin it totally. Such experience wouldn't allow us go back again.

Natalie P.

Yelp
Came as a group of 3 adults and 4 kids without a reservation, and had no problem getting a seat right away - not easy as a big group at a central place! The food was great: most kids took the children menu, that was a mix of Korean and western - a fairly safe mix, a rice dish, a noodle dish and a bbq for 2 to share: everyone were full and liked their dish. There are also lots of cool Korean beverages to try from! There was a small problem of unexpected charge, but resolved quick. Also credit card payment works

Yelp
The positives first: the interior is hip, the staff nice, the atmosphere is cool. The bbq dishes are expensive but the portions are more than enough. The marinated meat dishes are too sweet for my taste but overall okay. But, coming from someone who grew up on Korean food and lived in Seoul for four years: if I closed my eyes while eating the sundubu jiggae - spicy tofu stew~ I wouldn't even recognize that I'm eating a Korean dish let alone which one. Same goes for the seafood pancakes etc. the dishes just don't taste like they are supposed to at all. I don't mind fusion food if it's intentional but I just didn't find the food (apart from the bbq) tasty.
google avatar

Mariah M.

Yelp
This place was so awesome. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and they have all the classics plus clearly marked vegetarian and vegan variations of a lot of things. The atmosphere is interesting and relaxed. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the street itself is removed far enough from main traffic avenues that sitting outside isn't unbearably loud. I will definitely return and recommend to friends!

Yelp
Very disappointing Korean Bbq. Very stingy portions especially with the kimchi! We ordered 2 Bbq and instead of receiving 5 dishes each, we received 5 for both, AND had to pay extra for ordering more Kimchi, and it was super overpriced Very sad Will never go there again
google avatar

Tamas K.

Yelp
BBQ plates are amazing, especially the octopus-beef one. Also the price range is really affordable, the pkate for 2 person is 20€. Good wines are availbale too, go for the Italian or French ones.
google avatar

Josh K.

Yelp
Surprisingly good Korean food with an American tinge in the Gorlitzer Bahnhof area. The BBQ seems vastly overpriced, but then again, the normal main dishes weren't terribly cheap either. Why is Korean food in restaurants around the world so expensive? They did come with proper-enough banchan, though curiously one of the dishes was seaweed salad -- Japanese. For my dollar I'd rather buy a bunch of Angry Chicken and stand outside swilling beer while eating wings. All ends up in the same dude's pocket, anyway, as I hear Angry Chicken is a Kimchi Princess spinoff.
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Got an order of Mul Mandu (steamed dumplings) and Twigim (fried vegetables) to go the other day and wasn't terribly impressed. The flavors were alright, but in general everything was just too bland and could have benefited from a healthy dose of rooster sauce. But it was only $12.50 for both orders and two Cokes, so at least it didn't break the bank.
google avatar

Yelp
The minute I walked in, it seemed like we zoomed back three months to when we were still living in NYC. This spot totally has that kind of vibe. However, I haven't had Korean food for years. I lived in Korea back in 2007, and have since avoided the food altogether due to kimchi and bibimbap overload. But we went anyway. I ordered a side of mandu and my boyfriend went for the bulgogi for one. We also ordered beers. My mandu was nothing to write home about, but his bulgogi was delicious! Totally hit the spot in that greasy, salty meaty way that only bulgogi can. The staff was extremely friendly and our server spoke English. I'm not sure if I'd come back anytime soon unless I was craving that kind of meat again (which I probably will in another four years), but I'm happy a place like this exists.
google avatar

Maurice A.

Yelp
Service is very slow and the food is quite bland. I had beef with glass noodles and we also ordered a variety of starters (steamed and friend dumplings and pancakes). The food is way unimpressive compared to other Korean places in town. Overrated!
google avatar

Barbara L.

Yelp
We went there together with my boyfriend the food we ordered was really delicious, the atmosphere is really cool, nice sit in place. We only had little trouble with the service, but it was incredibly crowded so it can happen. All waitresses always super nice and smiling. I can recommend it to anyone!
google avatar

Hideki T.

Yelp
We ordered Korean BBQ, and it was amazing! Combination of rice with BBQ made us happier than anything else. We missed Rei-men (cold-noodle), which is best to eat together with meats, but it's still trivial.

Beryl W.

Yelp
Awful food. Probably the most worst dolsot bibimbap I've had in my life. I tried to look over the fact that it didn't come sizzling like all the other dolsot bibimbaps, but the worst part was quality of the food. The meat was not fresh and tasted odd. The egg was also overcooked. Lastly, my bowl was drenched in sauce. My friend's bulgogi was also below expectations. The meat was quite dry and overcooked. We ordered a mandu to share together and it came looking quite sad as there were only four small mandus (carelessly) placed in a large steam bowl. Tl;dr version: bad food avoid at all costs.
google avatar

Laura E.

Yelp
Had the samgyeopsal BBQ and it was simply delightful, very friendly staff (we even got drinks on the house because we had to wait for our table), not that cheap but totally worth every cent!

Yelp
You dont need a hipster princess, when you want decent Korean food! The Kimchi Princess is not one of the best places in Berlin, but def one of the most popular ones, so as a foodie sooner or later you will have to go there. We went there in a group of ten and of course booked a table because otherwise it's hard to even get a table for two people. The outside area is alright to sit, the inside has industrial charme and is really smelly from all the sizzling BBQ grills after a while. The waiter, who didnt speak German, was friendly but it took a long while until the drinks came. We ordered different starters such as Pajeon and Dumplings which were alright but no sensation. I've def had better Pajeon at Gogogi in Kastanienallee. As a main we had the regular beef BBQ and the beef and octopus BBQ. It came with a bowl of rice and several microscopic little servings of sides. What annoys me is that you only get one serving of sides per two servings of meat. That doesn't make sense to me. After asking for more sides the waiter was friendly and promised to come back with more but never did. Additional orders of drinks we forgotten as well and had to be requested three times before we finally got more drinks. The meat itself was tender and soft and it's def a nice experience to have it grilled directly at your table. There was hardly any octopus in the beef & octopus serving which was disappointing and a friend of mine who has been here before noticed that the portions became smaller. That all wouldn't be as annoying if you weren't paying a solid 18-20€ per serving of BBQ. Sum up: It's an overpriced, overrated hipster place with overworked and uncoordinated service. I am not coming back as long as there is other Koreans in town.

Yelp
The place looks very cool, could also have been in NYC or London. The food is pretty good too, a bit expensive for Berlin standards but hey, it's still affordable and you are in a cool place that spent lots of money on the interior. Service was just OK. A bit on the arrogant side and always running and too busy because of bad organisation. Tip: don't order the BBQ if you don't want to smell like food all night! I loved the other dishes (bibimbap!) just as much or even better then the BBQ, they are cheaper, and they won't leave you smelly.....

Yelp
Quite overhyped place. The lunch menu (until 6pm) is limited, and 5-6 dishes we tried weren't great. If you want the best bibimpap, you're better off at Cooking Papa.

Yelp
Kimchi Princess is cool and fun. Plus it's the only place selling soju cocktails that I'm aware of in Berlin. I actually ended up here---nearly at the end of the U1---sort of by accident. I'd convinced my sweetie---the non-meat eater---to go to Angry Chicken. I really wanted Korean fried Chicken and we figured there would at least be bibimbap or something. Which there wasn't, so we wandered around the corner. Like I said, it's fun, and I'll go back, but the food isn't really as good as Madang, for example, and it's more expensive. And I still haven't had fried chicken since I've been here.

Yelp
It's almost unbelievable, but there's actually AUTHENTIC korean food in Kreuzberg now. No more does one need to go all the way to PrenzlBerg for this. I'm almost in tears. This is a combi Korean BBQ and classic korean dishes like hot pot and bibimbap. The interior is very lofty and airy, and makes for a generally nicer ambience than what Kreuzberg has been known for. This is good. The bibimbap that I had was point on. Really good, and I've had my share of Bibimbap around the world. This is done good. The biggest minus is the price. At EUR9,50 for a vegetarian Bibimbap, this is expensive for Berlin. The hotpot is even more at around EUR12, and the BBQ even more. But will I go back? Heeeellll YES.

Yelp
Excellent Bimbimbap. I was so impressed by the food here, that while I was eating I was already planning my next visit. Planning on coming again and again. At night it's dark and red, like being in a hanger. Don't wear your nice clothes (or wash your hair before) because you will come away stinking like a Korean BBQ!

Yelp
This place is ok. (1) The meat is tasty which is most important. The service is a bit slow

Yelp
The food is just amazing! I really loved the flavours of bibimbap, the kimchi pancake and the steamed dumplings. The service is great, always smiling and helpful. If you've never had korean food they will explain everything to you. The only problem is the prices. I personally find it a bit too expensive and cannot afford to eat there often. But other than that: highly recommended. Tip: better make a reservation if you wanna visit the place in the evening!

Yelp
My first visit to a korean BBQ, so i have no comparison. me and my gf had 50% off coupons, so it was a good price. the atmosphere inside is vibrant and full of nice flavours. the food (we had the beef bbq) was very tasty. only little downturn was the non-korean service, very fast and berlinian. amusing, but not what i had expected. maybe i thought of a calmer, more korean atmosphere, but thats just my expectations i think. we both did REALLY enjoy the food and the flair...

Yelp
We have been to Kimchi Princess four times during three years and liked it every time. My boyfriend loves their bibimbap. I tried the veggie bibimbap and a few other dishes which I really liked. The staff is friendly. Yesterday we visited with a baby and a pram which was no problem. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Excellent! Gluten free and careful to make sure everything would be nice Ok. Fresh, tasty and quick. Good atmosphere, busy little place. Would definitely go back, such good value and great staff.

Yelp
The place is popular and has an exciting vibe, but don't be fooled: the food is just OK, the service inattentive, the air full of smoke (from Korean BBQ done at the table), and the space very loud. I left half of my Korean pancakes standing (they were heavy and tasteless). I had a full, greasy feeling when I left the place. No need to go back
