Kimpton EPIC Hotel

We really enjoyed the hotel and especially the valet service. Oscar was amazing. Treated us like family. He took such great care of our car and us. Will definitely be back due to the amazing hospitality we received! Can’t wait to come back!!!

By far one of the best places I have stayed at yet, the moment we arrived valet was super polite and 2 young gentlemen were there to open the door and bellman went to our room and unloaded our bags and surprised me with champagne on my birthday which was beautiful. The rooms are super spacious and very comfy. I definitely recommend trying area 31 there food is simply delectable amazing quality and fair portion. They also gave me a glass of champagne free for my birthday. This hotel is very family friendly they allowed my parents and friends to visit we rented a cabana and had 2 servers one by the name of Jose and the young lady’s name was Zulema and wow they were top of the line service, the were always there checking up on us by the pool area and making sure we all had our drinks and the food always came out fresh and they were both so friendly and welcoming and had a great knowledge on what drinks to recommend to have a good time. I just want to say thank you to the whole staff for making my birthday one of the best ones I have had so far, looking forward to my next visit❤️

We had king suit room with sea view, high floor, corner room. The view was spectacular from the seating area, bed room and the restroom. The room was spacious and beautiful. The hotel is lively since they have a nice pool with a bar. Lots of people come to the hotel to spend their time there. And of course Zuma restaurant at the lobby. We were happy with the location as the weekends had different vibes, and many places are a walking distance from the hotel.

This hotel is very art decor Upmarket and in an area which makes you feel that you are special. The service is top notch and we had a great time and experience. Weekends are especially busy, restaurant in the hotel is serving excellent meals. It’s pricey though, the hotel and the food! Very chic Staff are super helpful and try to accommodate guests needs!!

This was our 1st and best hotel during our trip! Had the 1 bed room suite, and it was nice. Wasn't to top floor as requested, but still a great view. Has a great restaurant and bar as well as a secret bar on the 12th floor. The living room was wonderful, the bedroom was amazing, the bathroom was perfect, the restaurant was great, the pool was awesome, and the bar was great. Their customer service was perfect as well. I will return here one day.

Update: After checking out I reached out to corporate who informed me that hotel director would call me Monday. I did have the opportunity to speak with Melissa who took the time to listen to the experience. She agreed that the experience we had is not normal as they take pride in providing a memorable experience. Melissa did property address the matter and I appreciate her professionalism. Disappointing Hotel Experience: We recently stayed at Kimpton Epic in Miami. This hotel left much to be desired. Despite being members, we were not able to access any of our usual perks due to a special event. Management should have staffed accordingly to make sure all guests were taken care of. The beds were not comfortable, air in room didn’t work properly, no early check in or late check out. Pool area was beautiful but couldn’t use cabanas due to special event. Additionally, we were denied services at both Area 31 and Zuma, the hotel's restaurants. To top it off, in order to sit indoors or outdoors at Zuma, guests were required to purchase a $150 brunch package. At Area 31, we were unable to get cocktails at the indoor bar without ordering food, even though we had eaten there earlier. The lack of availability for spa services was also frustrating. Despite our requests for an early check-in, the front desk staff, especially Fernando, and the manager did not seem to make much of an effort to accommodate us. Communication was lacking, and we were left feeling unwelcome and unimportant. Overall, our experience at this hotel was disappointing. We had to request extra pillows and towels 3 times. Valet offered help with taxi which never arrived and we ended up getting an Uber. We were not able to enjoy the amenities we had come to expect as members, and our requests were not taken seriously. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of customer service and communication. We hope that in the future, the hotel will do better to make all guests feel valued and appreciated.

Writing this review because they’re a lot of unexpected things that happened upon arrival and check out. I booked this hotel on Expedia and thought I paid for everything upfront upon my arrival I was charged a fee that they hold and was told would be returned after my check out never did they mention they deduct $130 for amenities during check out. Then when I get to my room it’s was nice with a beautiful view but my room floor was dirty, glass had random hand prints , tables had dust and my toilet didn’t seem to quite flush. I requested to have my room re cleaned immediately and they said someone would come which they never did until the next day and even so I still had the same dust on table and dirty floor not sure if cleaning lady is even moving any furniture around to get the entire room. Such a luxury hotel you would think the water bottles on the night stand came with them. They charge $10 per water bottle. In addition they charge a fee per day for valet parking the valet parking takes very long to bring your cars and sometimes my car was already there but my app was not updated letting me know it was ready. There is always non moving traffic when trying to get your car or returning back to the hotel. Though the breakfast was amazing so was my server and the pool area was very nice. $130 for amenities fee and the soap and body wash in rooms are such low quality and they don’t even provide coffee or water in the rooms, this hotel didn't meet my expectations.

Great experience all around, the doorman and front desk staff are all amazing. Our room was available early and the room service was fast and the food was tasty. If you are looking for a good view make sure you book a water view, it's worth it.

Lissette and Melissa with Epic Kimpton went above and beyond for my cruise group. The hotel and staff were VERY accommodating on all of our needs. It is the perfect location if you are going on a cruise. It's 2 minutes from the cruise port. Our rooms were spacious and clean with GREAT views. I will definetly use them again.

This was my first trip to Miami and went with this hotel due to location and good reviews and it did not disappoint. Location is great if you're planning to be all around Miami and being in downtown which is super nice and clean as opposed to other major cities. Check in was easy, friendly, super accommodating as we arrived hours early having a room booked for an entire week for the trip. Room was great with an amazing view and super clean, comfy. Any and all interactions with staff at this hotel were great, definitely go above and beyond from simple requests of extra towels to helpful advice on how to get around the city. Pool and bar area are fun vibes and the drinks are on point. Would definitely stay again, thanks!

Not a 5-Star anything The room is so dim. There's insufficient lighting. The mattress had only a sheet over it. 5-star hotels have a mattress protector, a mattress pad, a topper, etc... The button to flush the toilet had green rust on it. The light in the bathroom was coming apart. I was working on a conference call with the "privacy" indicator light on. The cleaning woman just WALKS IN on me. She can't speak English. She refused to leave. I kept saying "no". She insisted that I wanted my room cleaned. Meanwhile, I'm still on my call!!! This was crazy. "Privacy" means do not enter. The location is great & the front desk texts you so you don't need to call or go, but for the money, stay somewhere else.

It was good not great. The Kimpton Epic was an interesting stay as it was the first of a long trip to southern Florida for Work. It was POURING when I got there and there was a long queue to get the car parked bc I don't think I saw a self-park option. I was in room 2729. It was a great room. That is the majority of the four star rating. i loved the bathtub. It was a great soaker tub and it had a view into the room which I respect. There was free wine in the evening which was great. The hotel had a lot of bro types so i avoided them. the parking was very expensive as was breakfast, so i ordered extra dinner from doordash the night before. We had a wonderful time at Kimpton Epic hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hotel's inviting ambience set a perfect tone for relaxation. We were pleasantly surprised with a suite upgrade, which offered breathtaking views of Miami and ample space to unwind. The highlight of our stay was definitely the pool area, providing a stunning 360-degree view of downtown Miami. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a swim and soak in the city's beauty. The service was impeccable--attentive and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. With its excellent atmosphere, luxurious accommodations, and outstanding service, Kimpton Epic is definitely worth a visit.

This is my 2nd time at a Kimpton property, 1st time at Epic. I was attracted to this hotel for its rooftop pool and proximity to the Kaseya Center (AAA). Check-in was an easy process. Our room was ready early and they allowed us to check in at 3 PM rather than 4 PM. We immediately headed down to the pool after. One thing I noticed during our stay is at the pool does not get direct sun all day. There are two hotel pools located on floor 16. There are cabanas for rent, day beds and pods that are incredibly comfortable. During summer, I would say the sun starts to shine behind the neighboring building around 9:00 AM. By 4 PM it is hiding behind the Kimpton Tower. The North pool receives little to no sun and the South pool gets it between the hours that I mentioned. That being said, both pools are cold. It is certainly refreshing to some, but I thought other folks should be aware. Otherwise, the pool deck is beautiful. We had a great time lounging and enjoying the Miami weather. Up so high you get a nice breeze and an incredible view of the water below. They of course offer fresh towels, sunscreen and cool down lotion. They have a full bar as well with signature cocktails for your average Miami resort price. We stayed in a king suite on a higher floor. The room was absolutely gorgeous. Decorated in a typical Miami modern style. The natural light in the room was absolutely amazing. Our bathroom was huge and there was plenty of room for a couple to get ready. There was a separate soaking tub with massage jets. We had a small issue with the bathtub handle and maintenance was sent out within 15 minutes to repair it. Very fast and friendly gentleman fixed our problem in no time. If you are driving, parking costs about $50 a day. We decided to Uber everywhere or walk during our stay. Valet does take a little time so prepare for that. If this is your first time in Miami, please also be prepared for the traffic. We were here for an event at the arena and after it let out, the streets were flooded with tens of thousands of cars. Definitely be mindful of that during your stay anywhere in this area. Even if you are not attending whatever event is being hosted, you will be impacted by traffic. In my opinion, Uber is really the way to go, if you drive parking around the city is a hassle usually costs more than it would to have someone drive you. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I have to tank the Epic for being the place I can scape to when my reality gets tested. Only great memories from this place in very different stages, i have been coming here since I was single with no kids, to spend my anniversary or simple a get away with the kids. For any occasion the vibe is simply the best ! Service is always 5 stars and very convenient the fact that you can request anything to your room by just sending a text message. Cheers to my many rechargeable nights and days at this magical place.

To begin, the Epic Hotel is 5 stars to me for its exceptional service, stunning architecture, and top-notch amenities. Its spacious rooms and suites are beautifully decorated , providing guests with all the comforts of home during their stay. The hotel also has a rooftop pool, a full-service spa, and several dining options. I would be remised if I do not give Area 31 the credit it deserves. I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch and dinner there. Area 31 is a beautiful rooftop restaurant located in the Epic Hotel. This seafood and Latin-infused restaurant serves delicious, seafood dishes, handcrafted cocktails and an extensive, wine list. Its modern sleek and design, coupled with stunning views of Miami's skyline and Biscayne Bay, makes it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or night out a with friends. The restaurant also has a spacious bar area, where guests can enjoy panoramic views while sipping delicious cocktails. Overall, Area 31 is a-notch top dining experience that combines excellent food, breathtaking views, and a sophisticated atmosphere. In terms of location, the Epic Hotel is situated in a prime spot in Downtown Miami that is close to several attractions, such as the Perez Art Museum Miami, Kaseya center, and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. In conclusion, If you're looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Miami, the Epic Hotel is definitely worth considering!

When David Bowie and Freddie Mercury famously harmonized about being "under pressure", it was assumed they were commiserating about the challenges of living in this modern life. However, after staying at the Kimpton Epic, maybe they were just complimenting the marvelous water pressure of this fine hotel, and, while doing so, gave rise to singing, as one is wont to do while in the shower. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The balcony afforded the viewer a spectacular view of downtown Miami. But the shower took the cake. Based on the overall experience, I would have given the Kimpton 4-stars. However... I got the room for exactly $187 on Hotel Tonight; an unbelievable deal and money well spent! Downtown Miami in August has the feel of Singapore; climbing towers around a winding waterway, encapsulated in dense humidity and elevated temperatures. When you approach the door at the Kimpton and a kindly employee opens it for you with great ceremony, and you step into the heavenly icebox that is the lobby, you and your wallet are not shivering only from the sudden temperature drop... you are terrified that this $187 is certainly a 'bait-and-switch' and some excessive hidden fee is lying in wait... but it was not. So... stay at the Kimpton Epic where the pressure is in the water pipes, not the bill.

The worst food in the 31 restaurant I have had in a long time. $250 for awful food, tiny servings, loud and chaotic atmosphere.

The kimpton is just one of the beautiful hotels in the IHG chain. This was the second Kimpton I had the pleasure of staying in. My mother and I usually stay here since it's associated with American Express. So we usually are upgraded for free. Always a plus. The rooms are clean and spacious. Housekeeping usually comes very early so you can expect your room to be clean if you come back mid day. Bathrooms are huge and are decorated with beautiful stone. Our room had a huge balcony overlooking the water and some buildings. The first day, while my mother was on the balcony, a service worker entered the room without knocking. I got up immediately and asked him to leave as we did not call for him. This was very off putting. Assuming that maintenance workers have access to a manifest, why would they think it's acceptable to enter an occupied room? We brushed that off but it was not my last complaint. The same day, after returning from a party, our room reeked of sewage. I immediately alerted the hotel staff and they offered to change our rooms. They said they would send a bellhop to help us move. The bellhop eventually came and I believe there was a miscommunication because he tried giving me a new room key to the room I was already in. I told him that I did not request a new room key but a room change. He got very angry with me and insisted I take the key. After I told him once again this is not what we requested, he threw his hands up and said "we'll call the front desk then!" And walked away. I notified the front desk immediately, but now I was upset. I was still sitting in a room that smelled so badly and now a worker was yelling at me. One of the managers came up and personally brought us to our new room. She did notice the smell and agreed we should leave that room. So here's where I believe the staff was lying to us; when I called the front desk and told them of the smell, they told me I was the first guest to notify them of the issue. However, this being my second night at the Kimpton and second time staying at the chain, I noticed someone returned to the room while we were gone, and left linen spray and bottles of water, which we have never received from the chain. I believe they knew of the issue and lied to me. Whatever. My next room was clean and smelled just fine. That's what is most important. The issues were resolved in the moment but just a few things I thought should be brought to the attention of the Yelp community, as this is not a cheap hotel whatsoever. Also there is not always doormen on duty or they step away from their post. Kind of difficult to when you're juggling so many bags and trying to get through a heavy door.

Love love love this hotel so much! It's our first time in Miami and we decided to stay here for 1 night (our last night). The views are amazing and the room are spacious. We opted for the 1 King Bed (Water View High Floor), which was booked through our Chase travel portal. Check in went smooth and they were able to give us the room way earlier than expected. I love how check out is at 12 pm too and you can also request late check out if your an IGH member. The staff is super accommodating and friendly here. Everything was clean and there's so many amenities in our room. Will definitely be back here for a longer time.

My 2nd time staying here was a wonderful as the first. Same time one year apart. I think I have a new tradtion. I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. I enjoyed returning to a freshly made bed and fresh towels each day. I enjoyed the happy hour, the afterdark vibe on the 16th floor, the views, the morning coffee, the refreshing lemon water upon returning from the heat. I enjoyed the watching the river and the boats passing by. I enjoyed the convenience of the location. I enjoyed being greeting each morning as I exited the building. I enjoyed the late checkout time. I enjoyed the relaxing and inviting spaces in the lobby area. We really made it a point to visit and enjoy many of the spaces the hotel offers.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at the Kimpton Epic Hotel in Brickell. The hotel is so conveniently located to the airport, downtown Miami, Brickell shops, and more. I was able to enjoy beautiful long walks as well. The room was lovely! We had a big water facing patio; ample space for our items; double vanity; and tub as well as shower. Amex has great deals with a credit as well as hotel credit and great rooms! We were on the 29th floor. The credit does not extend to Zuma which we didn't have time to check out but everyone raves about. The hotel has wine on the lobby everyday from 5-6 as well as tea and coffee every morning. The gym has great equipment. Two pools with cabanas and lounge space. They may be heated as well. We enjoyed breakfast and pool bites at the restaurant although pricy! Staff everywhere were lovely. Would definitely stay again!

I love this place, the service was AMAZING. Everyone treated us with the best attitude and helped with everything we needed. A front desk employee let me burrow his charger for an hour, even though he didn't have to, super polite. It's a very extravagant vibe, yachts and lambos parked near the lobby, and a watch dealership in the lobby. The rooms had a lot of space, and super super clean. I loved my experience here.

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. Located in Brickell this is a nice location to stay. you can easily walk to several surrounding bars and restaurants as well as the shops at Bayfront park and Brickell city center. Overall the hotel is stunning - the lobby walking in is huge and modern. We were checked in right away and the staff were all friendly and lovely. The room was nice and tidy - what I liked the most is the balcony where we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. The parking is valet - I believe it's under 50$ per day. Overall this hotel is expensive and a luxury stay without a doubt .. but worth it!

Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms and a stunning view of the water and high rises are a must! Deep deep tubs to dissolve the day away. Food at the bar is not that great, bartenders not that great either. They do not disclose that there is an automatic 18% gratuity added so we were drinking and did not read and gave additional tip. Normally I would not mind but these bartenders were not that great and the drinks not that great. Valet charges $48 dollars a day on top of the tip. Very expensive hotel but it is beautiful. Complementary coffee and tea in the morning.

Oof. This hotel is (was) my pre/post cruise default. It's Ultra Music Festival Weekend (cool). Food here is good. Staff are excellent for the most part. But, dear god, the pool party they've had going on today is ridiculous. I'm on the 30th floor, and the pool is on the 16th. I can keep beat with the music by watching the ripples in my toilet (not exaggerating). The TV is vibrating itself to death on the wall approaching 11PM. Look, I'm not the "GET OFF MY LAWN" old guy, but this is stupid. Also, the one exception to a good staff experience is the dickhead working the door to even go out to the pool as a hotel guest. It's been a long time since I've encountered someone so determined to be a jerk.

Oh man, this place was AWESOME!!! I stay in a lot of hotels for work and this was really above and beyond. The experience started when airline delays got us into Miami at (ugh) 4am. We came dragging into the hotel and the front desk clerk not only made us feel welcomed, but he gave us a free bottle of rose and some bottled water to make up for the airlines screwing up our night. Then, the lobby was gorgeous and the rooms were even better. And, then,.....THE POOL . The pool was such an event. They had a DJ at the pool. And drinks with umbrellas in coconuts. I mean, how much more Miami does it get? Every aspect of this place was well thought out. I mean, even the rooms smelled good when you came in. Two minor nits: 1) The weird "pass-thru window" between the bedroom and the bathroom. My girlfriends and I didn't want to watch each other bathe, TYVM, so the privacy curtain went down. 2) The pool closed too early! A little night swimming would have been just the thing.

A friend of mine and I stayed there for the weekend of The Life Time Marathon. It was last minute and we had to take a red eye so we were there way before check-in. The hotel let us check in early which was great. The staff is super friendly and made the trip really easy. The best part was the view from our balcony on the 28th floor.

Nice hotel. I love how the lobby and the elevators are scented. Modern decor, great staff. Clean, fluffy bathrobes, yoga mat. There were no women at the front desk or working service areas .. odd . Walking distance to the Ferris wheel.

Beautiful rooms and location, and a great gym. I had a lovely view and the rooms reminded me of an upscale tropical resort. The staff was also great, providing extra water bottles upon request which I appreciated in the heat. Very much worth the splurge for the extras, and I wish I had more time to enjoy it.

Very expensive and the service is sub-par Paid $22 for 6 over- sauced chicken wings and a $20 salad that was quite small by the pool. I worked in food service and hospitality for over 20 years and have substantial knowledge about food cost.. anyway We were grazing on the food and the busser came and bussed our food without even asking if we were done. Almost half of this super expensive salad and 3 wings left. He should have asked if we were done before just grabbing it all and dumping it. We had also rented a suite there for 2 nights and a cabana. Spending close to $5000.00, brought down a beer from our room downstairs to pool and was quickly reprimanded by our pool server about that. Meanwhile, any time we needed someone around to order, they were not available. Overall disappointed with the experience I had here despite the profits they made from us. Probably won't rent here again.

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay on this trip to Miami. The hotel is beautiful! Very modern and chic and the grounds are well kept. Our room was great with a view overlooking the Miami River, the staff was excellent, and it's a perfect location. Downtown has a lot of hustle and bustle, but the hotel was a nice retreat. Unless we had the sliding door open, it was reasonably quiet and a good place to rest which was my main priority for this trip. We had a room with a king bed and it was very spacious. There were two rooftop pools and a bar (great cocktails!) on the same level with access to the hotel restaurant (the food was pretty decent for a hotel, tbh). The pool area was so pretty with lots of seating and private cabanas available for renting. I will say I thought it was odd that the pool closed so early (around 7 every night), but I realized later that it's not just a hotel, but also has residences attached so maybe that had something to do with it. There's also a 24 hour fitness center, a cigar bar/watch shop/spirit bar and a Japanese restaurant as well, though we didn't go to the last two. The hotel sits right on the water, so there's a dock for those who are super fancy and what to either arrive by boat or go out on the water during their stay. One of the best parts about this hotel is the location, it was within walking distance of several eateries and shops. It was nice to be able to just walk out of the hotel and explore and not have to drive or take an Uber to find something to do or eat. Speaking of transportation, parking is somewhere in the ballpark of $40-50 a day, so if you don't have to bring a car, I wouldn't. It was always very easy to get a ride share and, as I mentioned, within walking distance of lots of businesses. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Loved my stay, the room had amazing views of Downtown Miami. The food was delicious at Zuma a sushi restaurant within the hotel over looking the water and a huge yacht. The pool was also lovely with amazing view!

My husband and I stayed 3 days two nights at this hotel with our kids (4 and 5 years old) and we had EPIC time! This hotel rooms are beautiful and modern which we love and everyone was so nice and extremely hospitable! Located in the downtown Miami next to Brickell with a few blocks from Brickell City Centre and restaurants in the Brickell area. We loved the pool which had a live DJ with a great vibe! The exhale Spa on the property was also great. Lastly the Area 31 restaurant had a delicious breakfast. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very elegant and beautiful, but there are a lot of hidden fees! The hotel rooms are pricy enough, and when you check out, they spring extra fees on you that we're not disclosed during booking! The extra fees are for use of the restaurants, pool and gym!!! Even cheap hotels don't charge extra for those things!! The views are stunning and the service is wonderful but be very wary of hidden "extra fees"!!!

The rooms were okay. The conference rooms where rather cold no matter how many times we asked for the temperature to be adjusted. And extra fees when you check out. They did not clean our room one day when we were out the whole day and had plenty of time to do it. Did love the door guys very nice!! But rather expensive for everything

Nice upscale hotel. Where the famous ZUMA restaurant is located. ( go to zuma ). They also have a restaurant called Area 31, offering decent lunch and great views. ( good happy hour ). Hotel only has valet ( pricey ). Staff is friendly and helpful. My favorite thing about the hotels is the pool, the atmosphere is great, nice music, beautiful chairs and cabanas to rent. They offer good cocktails and small bar bites. The rooms are small unless you get a suite ( recommended). But they are clean and Modern. Good spa as well, offering massages and different body treatments. The hotel is close to a lot of downtown / brickell restaurants as well. ( a lot to do ).

Amazing hotel, and trust me - I've stayed in many - so this really did impress. Rooms were amazing, everything you needed. Good comfy beds, good air-con, hot power showers, quality furniture. Fast wifi. The pool was excellent - super clean, and there are two pools in total, one heated and one not. Location was pretty good, walking distance to some things. Cinema and Whole Foods just a block away. A lovely waterfront walk right from the hotel. Where it really stood out for me is their great treatment for Diamond IHG members. Booked the basic room, got a free upgrade to a King Suite! Also they give free breakfast, which is any main item from the menu, free add-ons, and free breakfast drinks. Including a lobster and crab benedict, which must be the most fancy free breakfast I've gotten from my IHG Diamond membership so far. They also participate in the Kimpton secret password. The minor negatives? Although this might bother some more than me... - Paid-for breakfast is expensive! Freshly squeezed orange juice for $13 before taxes and tips? - Valet parking is $38 a day (and before taxes and tips). But if you're willing to walk 5 minutes, the Knight Center garage is $20/day. - My room, despite being on the 28th floor (out of 30 floors), was not soundproof. You could hear party boats passing by, as well as the railway warning bells from the street leel. - The rooms are very dark, not enough lighting. Might be bothersome for some. - No kettle or coffee machine in the room. For this level of hotel and price, one expects this. There is also no free tea and coffee facilities on-site after 10am.

My family had a layover in Miami for 14 hours and we wanted to be able to use a good dayuse room for a decent price. This is where the Miami Kimpton Epic comes in. For its $129 price (exclusive of taxes and resort fee), you can't beat it. Check in starts at 8am and you have until 7pm. The hotel is in a excellent prime location with numerous eateries and a mall all nearby. The check in experience was flawless and the bellman, Eduardo, was excellent at his job. As a former hotel employee, Eduardo checks all the marks in what you would want in a Forbes Five Star service bellman. He took all of our luggage up to the room and explained all the amenities of the room and hotel to us. He arranged to get us some bathroom amenities too. Perfection! The room was clean and nice. I loved having the outdoor balcony for fresh air. Great place to lay down and nap for couple hours. The only negative aspect about my experience hotel was the evening bellman. I made numerous trips from the lobby to my vehicle to store my bags and nobody offered any assistance, even though he was just standing at the door. Despite that, I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. I loved my experience here and didn't have to pay full price for the Miami Kimpton Epic.

I was here for a business trip and stayed for a week. There're things good about it and there were things bad about it Cleanliness: 3/5 I've seen stained towels multiple times and glasses are not cleaned. Location: 5/5 It's super close to the water, very walkable area. For people who don't have a car in Miami, it's super accessible. Food: 2/5 We had a lot of catered food from the hotel and I have to say, I had some of the driest chickens in my life at this hotel. It was the item on the menu every day. Service: 4.5/5 This is the first hotel I've seen that using text to get service requests, which is super helpful. I was super impressed. If only I can check via the TV that woulda have been great. I am also not quite sure why they want to blast music at the pool deck daily. It's mostly business travel, and the pool party music is probably not the best

I stayed here for 2 days while visiting Miami with my fiance and was excited to see how close it was to things. Easy walking distance to the Brickell area and a nearby park. The hotel is pretty and modern with all their amenities on one floor. The on-site food is good with pretty views from one of the restaurants. They offer free coffee in the morning as well as wine for happy hour each day as well. The room is good with a balcony, a few spots could have been cleaned better but overall still good! I'd recommend a stay!

We paid $400 for one night in a double bed city room. Here's what we got: Beds were small and very uncomfortable Pillows felt like they were stuffed with tissue paper None of our key cards worked more than once 'Free' coffee was cold and gross No tea kettle or coffee in rooms Rooms themselves were bare bones with poor layout Bathroom was like an echo chamber where every sound was amplified One bar of soap in the whole bathroom with a tiny shampoo and conditioner bottle Empty water dispensers in the lobby Curtain covering window looking straight into the bathroom had huge side gaps Gym was freezing cold Really the only good thing about this hotel was that it was a short Uber ride from the airport. I've stayed in hostels that were way more luxury feeling than the Kimpton. Def save your money or splurge elsewhere.

We evacuated here during Ian and I thought they did a fantastic job during a very trying time. Great communication, love the text message concierge. I tried the Exhale Spa and they were REALLY good. It isn't the motel 6 prices or the ritz prices, it's an upscale modern but still approachable hotel. Valet is pricey and wish that could be waived in an emergency but that's a nitpick.

The entrance both from a pedestrian and vehicle point of view is a bit of a nightmare, but perhaps you came by boat instead! (They have some docking space). Mainly have come through here to visit Zumba, Area 31 or visiting a friend that stays here once and a while. It's both a hotel and a residency with split entrances. The hotel lobby is modern and well maintained. Prices here are in the high end / luxury category. Rooms are nice, though do note if you have a bottom pool facing unit you may pickup noise from the bar and restaurant.

On our driving trip to Key West, we decided to spend a night in Miami to break up the drive. This Kimpton Epic had a location right in Downtown which is why we chose it. The lobby is spacious and beautiful. The staff was friendly and our room was very nice. Beware there's a huge opening between the bedroom and the bathroom which may make it odd for "friends", or even odd for a middle of the night bathroom break. There was a balcony which overlooked the water and the cool buildings like a scene out of CSI Miami. The Valet was an absolute Cluster! It's so backed up that you literally just sit at the light waiting to get in. There's barely any room in the tiny circle turn around spot between the entrance and the new hotel going up next door. There is plenty of stuff within walking distance but we didn't partake as we basically checked in, went out to eat (drove), and came back and headed out early the next morning. Of all the Kimpton's we've stayed out, the room was the largest and nicest as Kimpton's typically overtake an older hotel as a boutique style.

They gave me a suite and a balcony with a stunning view. This hotel was immaculate. The amenities including fitness center and rooftop pool with DJ were 10/10. The hotel room itself was super spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would come here again in a heartbeat whenever I'm back in miami.

Stayed at the Kimpton for 5 days. The location is perfect! The hotel itself and customer service is 10/10! Rooms were very nice, comfortable bed and exceptional view on the balcony! The reason I'm not putting a 5 star is because the the bathroom. It was very dark, hard to get ready for a woman putting on make up mostly. The rain shower head was low pressure and took forever to wash my hair. On top of that the walls are very thin, the people next to us were not only loud but we could hear their conversations as well as them coming in and out at all hours of the night. (12am/2am/5am)!

Amazing views but I did not feel like I was in a Kimpton. The ambience was sub par and the front desk staff left a lot to be desired. Our room appeared to be clean but on our way out I noticed my mattress was stained with what appeared to be vomit... it was our last day and I was livid I had spent two nights in a soiled room. When I notified the front desk of my issue they did not care and were super dismissive. They gave us the "valet" for free, probably to get us going and out of their way. So gross... DO NOT STAY HERE. It's not like the other Kimpton a I've stayed at.

Jen at the front desk hung up on me when I was calling about hotel transportation from the airport.. Upon arrive the hotel was really beautiful (there was a lot of construction going on around, so it was loud at times) after checking in we got a complimentary glass of wine (rose) definitely a cute touch. The room had a really nice view (see pictures attached). The sliding door for the balcony did NOT lock, it was broke. The restroom was large and spacious. The ONLY downfall about the restroom was the shower head, it was attached to the ceiling so water fell directly down. I don't like water in my face/hair so I was really irritated by that.. we managed to angle it slightly but it was so hard, since we were so short. Also the right sink kept clogging up. There were random footprints on the balcony, I was really wondering what position a person had to be in to get them there like that ahaha! Asked for double beds, got a single. It was a lot of minor inconveniences, that's what I based the ratings on BUT overall it was a nice room.

Gorgeous hotel. We had delays checking in that caused us to miss our dinner reservation but once checked in, everything was lovely. Our room was clean and had an amazing view. Had drinks by the pool. Had breakfast at Area 31. Great stay.

Do not book this hotel through a 3rd-party site. Management from this hotel told our booking site that we never called them to rebook, due to a flight cancellation, when we did. Great way for them to make a quick buck on people. Kind of sad, but it is what it is. You can find nicer and more trustworthy hotels elsewhere.

Arriving to Epic, there were all types of luxury cars and liveliness in the front of the hotel. Yet, the luggage attendant did not skip a beat as they opened our doors, grabbed our luggage and escorted us to the front desk. We arrived a few hours prior to check in and the very friendly front desk gave us hotel access, tagged and stored our bags while he gave us information on the hot spots of the hotel. We waited no more than 15 minutes before I received a text saying the room was ready. We came here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and Valentine's Day in which Epic definitely made EPIC! The General Manager Ericka and her team made sure that our celebration and stay here was nothing less than perfect. We were not only upgraded to the Presidential Suite (which was EPIC, thank you!) but also greeted with a bottle of champagne, the cherry on top was our photo was printed and framed. The Presidential Suite was nothing short of amazing with 3 balconies, a full living room, massive bedroom and incredible bathroom with a massage jet tub just sitting in the middle of it all! The views left us speechless of both the city and the marina. We could literally just spend the day on the balcony watching the yachts go by. The social hour with champagne in the lobby was well executed even with COVID as everyone spaced out throughout the large lobby. It's nice that Epic provides this to their guests! The staff was great with anything we needed they were just a phone call away and did not take long at all to deliver it to our room. The pool we didn't use much but it's a pretty cool spot and it's heated! Overall, we would continue to go back to Epic and love the proximity it had to some other spots we wanted to check out. You absolutely will not regret staying here. We definitely had an EPIC weekend!

I can see why this hotel was luxury a few years ago but coming back in 2022 it's charm has started to fade in my opinion. It's definitely overly crowded and valet was a bit chaotic, there was construction in the building next door creating a bottleneck of cars waiting to just go into the location every day. It was about a 30 minute wait from the moment I ordered for the car, I would advise to give yourself ample time. Food and service was underwhelming which did not make the cost of the stay feel worthwhile. The two things that made the stay better was obviously the view which you can't escape and the bed was also comfortable.

The Kimpton epic, located in Brickell is a lovely hotel. They have a stunning pool area located on the 16th floor which offers amazing views. You have to check it out to see for yourself. A great spot in Miami. Also to be noted on this same floor they have their area 31 bar - which also offers the same views. Add to your bucket list and do a stay vacay!

I really like the property, their restaurant zuma is one of my favorite places in Miami. The pool and area31 on the 16th floor were a great hang out. I was supremely disappointed by their valet service. It felt so disorganized even the app wasn't working as explained (click to req 20 minutes ahead). It might take 40-60 minutes for us to get the car so we were always running behind it seemed.
