Kimpton Harper Hotel

Extremely disappointed in this stay and the lack of customer service. I have never had such a bad experience at a Kimpton. My friend and I came to stay here for 3 nights and she checked in before me. She is several months pregnant and was not allowed to unload her car to check in and was told she had to park blocks away since she decided not to Valet. (Big mistake on our part given how dicey the 2-block walk is.) Also, to make matters worse when I called to explain this and see what would be done about it, the Hotel manager didn’t even call me back. Also, the lobby is not anywhere near the first floor so there isn’t anyone on staff to help assist with anything at ground level. Our bed was not made even though housekeeping had come on the first night. The second night the bed was made but things were moved around? The elevators are definitely historic…not sure if there is anything that can be done about that. Will absolutely never stay here again. Would have rather stayed at a Motel 6 for the service we received.

What a wonderful stay!!! Experience was 5 stars. Lobby on the 24th floor has breath taking views. Front desk was very nice. Valet, especially Jameson welcomed us warmly and helped up to our room with our bags. Would absolutely recommend this hotel!

The Kimpton Harper has a great little Italian restaurant on the premises with a full service beer, wine, and cocktail bar. Menu prices are around $30-40 per meal (not including drinks). It's a small restaurant, so definitely male reservations because it fills up quick and it is very loud at dinner time because of how many people are in a small place. Delicious hand made pasta on site. The hotel also has a penthouse (24th floor) bar that serves beer, wine, and cocktails and it is equally phenomenal, with a much quieter vibe and great views. Service is wonderful and the hotel has great suites. If you don't plan to use velet parking, call the hotel for guidance on where to park ahead of time. The self parking garage is about a 2 min walk from the hotel if you don't use valet and it's about $49 per night, but you can come and go. It's a little inconvenient, but not terrible. If it was raining, you would not enjoy that two minute walk. Overall, great experience and would stay again!!

Excellent place all around - comfy beds and pillows, clean and updated hotel, excellent amenities. The bar/reception/living room on the top floor is cozy for hanging out! Friendly staff and fun decor. I’ll be back for sure!! We enjoyed breakfast downstairs too! Pro tip - garage parking in downtown will save you off the overnight valet.

We stayed here 3 nights. Never saw housekeeping. Front desk stated they are under staffed. Tried to eat at iL Modo. Again, was told they could not seat us because they are under staffed. Great location for stockyard and downtown Fort Worth. Rooms are nice. Just don't expect anything having to do with customer service or involving an employee. Also, we were on the 11th floor. Our view was the parking garage.

We loved every second of our stay at the Kimpton Harper! We’re huge fans of Kimpton Hotels and have stayed at quite a few. We love that the historic character of the building has been beautifully preserved, yet the amenities and rooms feel completely modern. Every corner showcases a luxurious, contemporary design with decor inspired by natural materials. We can’t wait to come back! The best part was the welcoming and friendly staff—10/10, they truly made it feel like a home away from home! Oh and the view from our corner suite was spectacular. We watched the sunset and enjoyed fireworks after dark. Bonus: it’s steps away from so many wonderful areas downtown. Love that we didn’t have to drive anywhere!

This was the second time staying at Kimpton Harper and we have almost no complaints! The staff here is amazing and vallet treat you like royalty and takes your safety and security very seriously! Even if you aren't parking a car they open the doors for you and summon the elevator. The even brought all our luggage down to load in our rental for us! Check-in was a breeze- we've never seen a lobby on the top floor but with the view of downtown we can see why they're up there! The staff accommodated our request to move rooms to be farther from the elevators and we truly appreciated it, however, the second room could have definitely been cleaner. Some stains on the wallpaper in multiple places and the carpet needed attention with some rust from the transition strip and stains as well. I would also suggest looking at the shower door water guard and perhaps getting one longer so there isnt water leaking onto the bathroom floor outside the stall. We also missed the free reception drinks that were offered to us on our trip two years ago. Two years ago we got beers at check-in and glasses of wine on certain nights. This time we just got bottles of water and heard nothing about wine tasting nights so we were a little disappointed. We also missed the binoculars that used to be in the lobby on the top floor! They now have room service which is amazing and bikes you can take out to see the city! We loved the guests robes and yoga mat in the room but couldn't find the Bluetooth speakers like a few years ago. The beds and pillows are so comfy and the black out curtains worked perfectly! The hotel itself is right downtown only a few blocks from Sundance Square and the Water Gardens, perfect walking distance to shops, food and culture! All in all we enjoyed our second stay here and will definitely be back!

This hotel is everything and it's because of the awesome service from its staff. The concierge, Stephan is exceptional and truly embodies the spirit of hospitality!! He took care of me as I had some special request with our reservations being a birthday surprise stay for my husband. Stephan went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay to asking the bartender to make a special birthday beverage for my hubs. And shout out to the bartender as I can't remember his name but he was absolutely the best in taking the time to put a nice drink together for my hubs and even came down to meet him. We will definitely come back because this staff and hotel are the golden standard of what excellence is!!

We stayed here just for a night out in ft worth. The hotel is dog friendly, so we decided to bring our two little girls too. Pulled up, had no problem with valet parking. Our only thing when we got there was where to go.... Checkin is on the top floor. After figuring that out, checked in and everyone was so nice. Wish they had a map of dog friendly places like the website says. Front desk were able to point us in the right direction. The room was great, good size and amazing view. Would definitely stay again.

This was not a four star experience. They're shooting for a remodeled historic vibe, but apparently are struggling through the process as several important things were inoperable at the time of our stay. Beginning with the hotel's computer system causing around a 20 minute delay in check-in. We were then informed that ice machines were all broken, except for even floors above 16. Like... What? Refillable water station on the third floor turned out to be the water cooler in the gym, LOL. Top it off with arriving in our room to discover broken AC on a brutally hot and humid Texas day. Picked up the phone to call the front desk only to discover that the phone is also inoperable. We got through on a cell only to have the girl who checked us in state, "engineering won't be here until 9 in the morning". Uhhhhh... What? Are you seriously suggesting that we stay in a room with no AC and it will just get fixed tomorrow? This is a 4 star establishment? Really? At this point we would have left and found accommodations elsewhere had it not been so late. Instead we had to ASK to be moved to a suitable room. When we went back up to re-key, move all our luggage, etc., staff response was tepid at best. I honestly wouldn't stay here again for half of what I paid. There are too many other options within 1 mile. Stay away from this one.

I used to be an avid Marriott Bonvoy member but no joke I am forever changed. My husband and I came to Fort Worth for a family emergency and Sean & Wayne have continued to be amazing. These last few days have rocked us emotionally but I am floored with the level of care from these folks. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, and it has really made me rethink my several year long tie to Marriott and Hyatt. Kimpton is definitely a boutique feel and they have gone out of their way to not only make me and my husband feel comfortable but also my daughter (who's 4) and our nanny. There are so many little important touches here that make it stand out from a stale Marriott. It feels more personal, less like corporate BS, they seem to actually care, from the bellman to bartenders to the front desk people... I am overjoyed. Whenever we come back to FTW I will be staying here - no questions asked.

Tori the Bartender is AMAZING and so personal! She worked the after party of the premier, The Actor! When you go there, ask for her!

Horrible experience overall. I have no idea how this hotel got its 4 stars. On first sight, it is an attractive place to stay in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, however as you will see from my recent review below including pictures, it is quite overrated. My low rating for this should-be-1-star-hotel is primarily due to poor and at times nonexistent customer service from hotel and restaurant staff. Also a lack of cleanliness, comparable to a motel from a 1970s horror film (pictures included). Nasty carpet stains, unvacuumed carpet with visible debris. Hair from previous guests stay on the bathroom floor. The iron in our room was so dirty and full of scum, gunk and mold that I decided not to use it, so I left the hotel for the day in wrinkled clothes. Over the phone staff is very short with answers and unhelpful. Valet staff was mainly helpful however made no effort to offer to unload luggage for my wife, and on one occasion asked me to use my room card to open the door for a food delivery person (is this even safe?)...Worst of all was the unfriendly service from Il Modo restaurant staff. Now I understand why they named it "Ill" Modo. No one was present at present at the hostess stand. Despite seeing us arrive and eventually become visibly irritated, Two bar staff intentionally refused to make eye contact. I suppose wiping down the already polished bar top was more important than showing hospitality to hotel guests? After waiting several minutes, when we started to request assistance from the bar staff that was ignoring us, they cut us off mid-sentence and told us to wait at the stand for someone to help us. A few minutes later 3 workers came from the back of the house towards the hostess stand and saw us but for some reason rather than assisting us, they went in the opposite direction, each diligently striving to avoid eye contact with the only guests that had neither been greeted not seated. Are we not wanted in this place? Are we being treated this way due to race or some other cause? What are we to think at this point? Either way it did not matter, because we were clearly either unwanted or invisible to any staff. After 5 minutes or so of no contact and without greetings, we left Ill Modo, and went to the Sinclair hotel to dine for the evening at the Wicked Butcher, which was great.,. How unfortunate that we paid so much money to stay at a place that made us feel so unwelcome. This review is not intended to be mean however its purpose is to spread awareness of my real experience in this highly-rated hotel that missed the note on so many levels to deliver to our expectations. Nice hotel with old school charm. Interesting check-in procedure. The registration desk is on the top floor. Great views with nightly happy hour on this 24th floor. I'll say you must have patience as everything is slow at this establishment. Be ready to wait to check in if there is more than one guest at a time, if you order any services or supplies to the room, and if you need valet. So plan ahead of you're in a rush. The beds are fabulous, rooms nicely done and the extra living space made it excellent for an office set up separate from the sleeping area. The new diamond elite perks are good here offering dining credit options, free breakfast, late check out and much more. I'd stay again for sure!

I came to the Harper on a last minute business trip to Fort Worth. I was grateful to find a Kimpton in the area, as I'm a huge fan of the brand. The valet parking was clearly notated and is right in front of the hotel. There were multiple valet attendants waiting to help me with bags and to immediately park my car. There was no main level front desk, so I had to take the (very slow) elevator up to the top floor, which ended up working out because the views from the top floor are STUNNING - and I got there for the complimentary wine hour, which also included an amazing hummus as well. It was a nice way to end what was a long travel day before heading to my room. I stayed in a King Premium City View and while the room was tight in terms of space, it did have a desk space, chair to lounge in, and an extremely comfortable king bed. I had some really great nights of sleep during my 3 nights there, which is definitely NOT something that I can say often about my sleep during business travel! The bathroom was almost as big as the room with a huge shower (with great water pressure) and also a lot of counter space, which I always appreciate. The gym space was also one of the most well-equipped (and spacious!) I've encountered during business travel. A TON of cardio machines lined up against a window, so it was the actual DREAM hotel gym situation. There were also a ton of weights, a space for yoga, and different weight machines too. Overall this was a solid stay with a great on-site bar on the 24th floor and restaurant downstairs, in addition to being in a really solid and walkable area.

Let me start by saying that the service and general aesthetics of this boutique hotel is excellent. I flew in from NY and after a long flight, checked into the Kimpton around 10:45pm. Stood on line for a few mins and was greeted by Bruce at the front desk. He's awesome. Seriously. Told me that I looked like I could use a glass of wine, walked away, and handed me a glass before he started checking me in. Swear I wanted to hug him - that's how grateful I was. He was pleasant and exuded all of the southern hospitality I hear so much about (which I'm not used to being from NY). Got to my room and it was beautiful....then I saw all of the stains on the carpet. They were gross....and everywhere - living room, bedroom, couch, even a stain on the bathroom rug. The pictures don't do it justice. I immediately called Bruce and within less than 5mins he sent security down to my room to deliver a new set of keys for a new room. If that's not ridiculously good service, I don't know what is. Headed upstairs to my new room, walked in and it was just as nice as the first room, but still plenty of gross noticeable stains on the floor. Like, everywhere - pretty disgusting, but I was way too tired at that point to switch rooms again. I was shocked and confused as to why they don't have maintenance check the rooms and clean the carpet. A carpet cleaning machine is literally a hundred bucks at Home Depot - they need to invest in one....or two. Also, the elevator takes FOREVER. I'm not kidding. I waited a full 10mins at one point and there was a line of people behind me waiting to squeeze in once it arrived. Lastly, I tried ordering room service at 3:15 and was told their kitchen is closed between 3pm and 5pm....um, ok. Had to get dressed and go out to find food - super inconvenient. So other than the slow elevators, inconvenient room service times, gross carpets and my advisory to keep your socks on while waking around, this hotel is fairly good - and so is their staff.

Older, bigger lady working the front desk check in on the 24th floor needs a man or a toy or something she was a miserable C. Nasty, rude attitude upon check in. After shaking that off though, awesome location and cool hotel!

This hotel was very nice. It smelled good, looked nice, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. There aren't microwaves in the rooms but you can call and request one. I would stay here again, the room service was good, cleaned the rooms daily, etc.

love this hotel! I stay here whenever I'm in town. A big shout out to Trey- in the valet department. He took extra care of my car and was so friendly and professional. The complimentary wine happy hour is a nice touch! Beautiful hotel and I love the suite.

Love this new hotel in the vintage 1920s restored bank building! Why do I prefer Kimpton Hotels? I'm Glad you asked. - staff is excellent -facilities high end -rooms clean and comfortable and modern Anne ties (wireless speakers / casting TVs, Nespresso Machines and luxurious toiletries and robes) -NIGHTLY local wine hour 5-6p -delish breakfast included -Peloton bikes as well as full fitness area When traveling for work or business I prefer to find a Kimpton and I'm so glad to have found this one just recently opened in my area for a getaway close to home

You must valet your vehicle as there is no self parking for this boutique hotel. As you enter the ground lobby, you will see their bar and restaurant to the left. Take the elevators to the 24th floor for front desk check in. Nice lounge and you will be able to see neighboring Dallas as you sip on a cocktail. Beds are comfy, pillows not so much. Both bars and restaurant are pretty good. Minus one star because you may have to wait a while for an elevator that is already tiny.

Really liked the hotel, it's service and prompt responses via text! The location itself is pretty central for downtown, with Sundance square a short walk away. I agree with an earlier review on the status of the carpets- we found a small stain tucked away in a corner near the bed. Two reasons for my 4 star review: 1) Pet friendliness: we love and chose this hotel because it's amenable policy and really appreciated that don't charge a fee for traveling with out little one! She literally goes with us everywhere! What's disappointing, though, is that there's not pet relief area on the premises. We had to walk our pup about 3 blocks down just to potty! A small relief area on or near the hotel would be ideal! 2) Valet: they're as efficient as they can be but let's just say that leaving the hotel, after just picking up my car, I saw one of the fly past me, through a red light, to get to the parking garage they use about 3 blocks from the hotel. Once I parked, I noticed a bunch of scuff marks on my tires which I literally just had cleaned/washed so, it def wasn't me. If this is the service they use, oof! I'm wondering if I should've just taken my chances parking at a meter!

We had a great stay at Kimpton. Clean, modern furnishing and decor in the room and lobby. Friendly front desk staff. Valet for $35/night. Pet-friendly and our pup loves the stay as much as we do!

This place is clean and amazing and the bed and pillows made it even better! Wow! Highly recommend!

I'm the kind of person that likes a little weekend getaway-from-home at hotels from time to time. I've stayed in all kinds of places in TX, and this is one of my new favorites. The room was beautiful, modern, luxurious, and clean. There's lots of yummy places to eat within walking distance. The one really weird thing is that there's a front desk when you walk in, but they don't use it- you have to go to the 24th floor to check in. It's a bit of a security concern, because anyone can really walk off the street and go to whatever floor without a key card.

I had an amazing time staying here at the Kimpton. The staff are all so friendly and the rooms are super comfortable. Location was great too, definitely will stay here again if I'm in Fort Worth.

The valet team here is really good; the front desk staff somehow treat people like the guests are suckers and they are gods. I requested a set of towel at 2pm and was still waiting for it at 10pm - when I called, the front desk staff told me "I've put this into the request system again but there's no guarantee". I mean, WTF???!!! Never again. === Very perfunctory msg from the manager below. ===

Review for upstairs bar only. Lovely place to sit and relax indoors and see the beautiful view of downtown Fort Worth. Drink were reasonably priced. Our waiter Zach was fantastic. (He also acts at the local playhouses). We had the truffle fries and they were delicious. Great way to spend a hot summer evening.

Stayed at this hotel while doing a downtown event. Service is absolutely excellent in this hotel. From the minute you walk through the door you are treated like royalty. They even give you a local beer or a bottle of water as you are checking in. Rooms are all spacious and appointed nicely. We particularly enjoyed the bar in the evening after our event, where the drinks were creative and the view of downtown Fort Worth enjoyable. They also had a free wine reception in the before dinner hours. All that said, I did find this hotel a bit overpriced. We did not spring for a view with our room, which meant we looked at another building wall. That was fine, but still the non-view room was quite expensive. I would say this is a good hotel for a romantic one night stay. But for more than one night, it is not worth the price and there are other hotels nearby that are equally convenient and not much of a step down for a lot less money. Gave a 4 out of 5 based on the price and cost value.

So disappointed, I want to cry. We booked this hotel as a "highly recommended" from our American Express Platinum card. It was one of the few 4+ stars in Fort Worth that I could find. From the start, it was far less than 4 stars. Maybe 2 stars, if we count the historical factor and location. First of all, we drove up for valet parking. The valet attendants barely greeted us. No one helped with our bags. They scuttled us through mumbling that we needed to check in on the 24th floor. While we were tired, sweaty, tons of bags ... Not one of the 3 offered to help us. So we went to check in. At the desk, Brandon was "okay." No stellar 5-star greeting, barely answered our questions, the bare minimum. My son asked if there were any good places to grab a quick bite nearby. Brandon hesitated, made no effort to answer his question, but rather said, "Well, a lot of bars, not for you" (since my son is obviously underage/teenager). I just shook my head and we walked away to our rooms, dejected. (Yet hoping to find restaurants on our own, which we did ... there ARE many nearby within just a few blocks ... Brandon obviously had other concerns, like, not talking to guests.) Husband and I had a king suite city-view and the boys had a 2-bed "essential" room. But there was only one bed in their room. So we went back to tell them that we specifically requested the 2-bed option for the "essential room." Brandon did not apologize, did not act like he cared; instead, he just kept repeating "Oh, that's house choice, we choose your room." (That is NOT how it was advertised.) So I begged for 2 beds, since the 16-year old teen boys did not want to share. But, they had no more rooms. Did Brandon apologize? NO. Not a single "wow, sorry," not even a "sorry there was a misunderstanding," nothing but a shoulder shrug and "tough luck." Alas, the boys are sharing the bed and trying to laugh about it. So we got to our room. Thermostat was set at 61 degrees. SIXTY ONE. It was freezing. So we turned it up to 74 degrees, left the room to explore Fort Worth and get a bite to eat. It's a nice location, downtown, near a lot of restaurants and bars. We returned to the room an hour and a half later, expecting it to be comfortable temperature. The temperature was .. 61.5 degrees (but reads "set at 74"). This is not a joke. So, I had to call Brandon back again and tell him the thermostat was broken. (Did he apologize for the inconvenience? No, of course not.) He said, "I'll let engineering know" and hung up. After a couple minutes, I called him back to see if we could get another room or had any other options (this room is absolutely freezing!) He said, "Well, you just called me a minute ago and I already told you, I will tell engineering!" I said, "I understand that, but please, can't you do anything right now? We are miserable!" He said tersely, "I said I would tell engineering. That's all I can do." And hung up. So here we are. In a nice room that feels like Antarctica that we paid almost $1,000 a night for ... for not just sub-par service but terrible service. I feel disillusioned and disgusted. Please please please save your money!! There is an 'Aloft' just two blocks away that my husband and I actually stood looking longingly at .... wondering why we paid triple for this awful experience. If I could do this over, in a heartbeat. It's worse than Motel 6, from what I remember in my college days, if service is a primary goal (and it is always ours). Addendum: it's 30 minutes later, we are still freezing, no one has checked on us or bothered to care that our room is 61 degrees. I feel like contacting Better Business Bureau or something (it's really that bad).

Service was horrible. When I pulled up to valet park (the only option) no one came out! Finally, I got out and walked in...and there was the valet guy, standing right by the door where he could see me. He made some lame excuse about maybe I was with the florist who had pulled up. Then...NO help with bags or a cart or even the door. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of one is that I liked the room and location. Don't expect to get a glass of wine one minute before 5 pm because you will be turned down and treated like an outcast by the young girl who appears to be running the bar. Really, it's a management issue and everyone there is too young and inexperienced. Please bring in at least one grown up.

This is the worst Kimpton I have ever stayed in. The check-in guy was rude and that started a 5 day stay. You can't regulate the room temperature and when you try to adjust it doesn't respond to your needs. The TV stopped working on Day 1 and every day I have called and they tell me they are working on it and it is a hotel-wide issue, despite the fact the TV is fine in the bar. Now my TV won't even come on and 3 hours ago I called to complain again and they said they would send an engineer to figure out why it won't even turn on and here I sit with nobody coming. This hotel should not even be called a Kimpton. What a joke. The brand should be ashamed of this location.

Great property in the heart of Fort Worth. Walking distance to most good food places and bars. Our room was so comfortable and soft. The bathroom was huge with a stand alone tub. Plus we got a beer at check in. Hell yeah!!! I live in Fort Worth, this is going to be my escape hotel.

Doesn't even deserve one star. Checked in for four nights, every day I had to call the front desk because they could not regulate the air. It would not go above 62.5'F. On the fourth day, things were taken from my room. I called the front desk and was told she would ask housekeeping tomorrow; asked what temperature I wanted my room to be? I said a f$&@ing normal temperature. Yes. I am frustrated. I can't believe I was told every damn day they would call engineering and every damn day I was told they would get it fixed. She then hung up on me and refused to answer my return calls. They allow smoking cigarettes. Called for two days and they did nothing to prevent it. Absolutely, the worst experience in Fort Worth.

When you arrive there is only valet parking available through the hotel. There are some metered parking spaces around the block. There is a restaurant and the concierge located on the 1st floor. You take the elevator all the way to the 24th floor to get to the front desk to check in. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but at times there was confusion because the hotel had just opened a few days before our arrival. I stayed in room 1914 which is a corner king. The room had 3 windows and was quite stuffy since the air was not on. Your key card has to go in a slot by the door to have electricity in the room. The air took a long time to cool off the room. There is a small cube fridge in the room, but no microwave. The bed was quite comfortable with fluffy pillows and bedding. I asked for an extra blanket because the duvet was too thick and the sheet was too thin. The walk in shower took a while to get hot and it is impossible to adjust the shower head, it's too high. They have big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and soap, but small bottles of lotion. I didn't care for the smell of the soap, it was similar to lemon Pledge furniture polish. I enjoyed my stay.

I made a reservation in August and I am expected to arrive on November 9th. Today i received a phone call from the hotel informing me there was a plumbing problem and my stay was cancelled. I was suspicious of the phone call so I called the Hotel Front Desk and I was informed my reservation was cancelled before the hotel overbooked for a convention. It is bad enough they cancelled two days before my arrival , but then they lied about the reason. This is not Texas Hospitality!

Cody works for the valet, infact he is the supervisor, rude, impatient, and just overall not a nice person. He accused me of throwing a pen at one of his employees, but the pen they had to write the tickets wasn't working, so I went into the hotel to get a pen for him, came back out and set the pen done on the valet stand so I can get a ticket, check my car in and enjoy my stay down town Fort Worth. I still am baffled by his response to me trying to help one of his employees. The hotel was great before, but don't expect to get a coffee pot when you ask for it, infact the only thing you will get is what is in the room. Stayed her close to 7 times now over the past year, and after this experience, this will be the last time for this hotel. Clearly the valet or hotel works don't care about their guest.

Our bag *was* located thanks to Brandon but to no help of the management. Even this response is lacking solution and action. 2 unclean rooms in a 4 star hotel and no offer of at least a drink on the house or dining credit but being a Black and Brown lesbian entrepreneur couple obviously isn't a clientele they wish to attract. I have literally never had such a sub par experience but am grateful for Brandon and for Stephan, the valet guy who was really friendly.

I valet parked my car at this hotel, I was sent a parking ticket a month later, and it has taken over two months to resolve. The customer service experience has been horrible. The front desk told me there was an issue with the parking vendor they use and that the ticket was a mistake. Totally understand that things happen, but it shouldn't be this difficult to get a parking ticket resolved that is the hotel's fault.

Currently, I'm staying at this hotel, which I was excited to book for my daughter and I over Thanksgiving upon arrival late last night. Suddenly the TV doesn't work when I enter the room, the pull out couch, which I had to sleep on how to stain as you can see from the bottom not sure what it was, but I had to ask for bedding, because none was provided in the room... the Bluetooth speaker in the room doesn't work either... housekeeping, was knocking at my door at 9 AM when I arrived late last night? I know this is supposed to be one of the more luxurious locations, but it is falling away short of expectation. Disappointed and a Platinum member of this brand... also little to no communication given or update from the front desk. They even offer a rooftop bar that's open till 11 and last night closed at 10? Wow

During my 4 day stay, I unfortunately had mutlitple issues. I was unable to get extra towels, and pillow on day 1 ordered thru Ashlyn at checkin. I then ordered the same items from Kim in the evening. Never received anything. I then went back to the front desk to speak to Jessica. She was able to fullfil my request. In total, I was given 11,000 points and $50 to the il Modo restaurant attached to the hotel. The next morning we went to il Modo for breakfast where we were told to sit at the bar, though others were at tables. No biggie, but there was NO service. We had to flag down someone for extra coffee, to order, to get the bill. They sat another lady down next to us and she had the same issue. They also told her they were not serving booze, even those people at the table had gotten bloody marys and momosas. She was super vocal got her drink. It was a mess. Friday night we went back to use our $50 credit, put our name on the wait list and was never called. We ate across the streeet at Ruth Chris and never spent the $50 credit during our stay. I used the gym 2 mornings I was there, great gym. However, the bathroom next to the gym was extremely dirty. One clogged toliet, one dirty, and the floor need to be mopped so bad. After my first use, I notified Jessica of it. On day 2, used it again, and it had not been cleaned at all. So gross! It's sad cause the hotel has a cool vibe, deorated nice, it all the vintage accents are a nice touch. But they are not running on all cyclinders there. My carpet in room 2213 had muliple stains on it as well. On a postive, the valet guys were on their game every day! Would not stay here again.

Beware of having to valet your car at this hotel. The room was gorgeous and service inside was great but after driving cross country with zero problems, this was the only place where something was stolen from my car. As I handed off the keys I asked the valet if the car would be locked the whole time wherever they stored it. He assured me that "yes the car would be very secure. " And truly it's my fault for leaving something valuable in the car. I was exhausted from a long 600+ mile inter city drive and forgot to bring my $300 VR headset up to the room but still, I should have known better. I took an extra few weeks to be sure I didn't pack it elsewhere but alas it's gone. And this is the only place I valeted on a 2,500 mile journey. My advice would be to do what I did not: take your stuff out of your car and park in the lot down the street. No matter how tired you are. :(

I admit it - I am a Kimpton junkie. This is the 13th Kimpton property I've stayed at, and I was so thrilled to learn of another location in Texas. Harper does not disappoint! Housed in a 100-year-old skyscraper with a lot of interesting history, Kimpton has pulled out the stops to make it beautiful and comfortable. We were given an amazing upgrade (Inner Circle perk) to a one bedroom, corner room with an amazing view of the downtown area. From the 21st floor, we were able to enjoy the city's fireworks display without the hassle of crowds. The room was comfortable, well-appointed, and classy. My husband and I both joked that we wanted to hire the hotel's designer to design our home furnishing. If the view and decor were not enough, we had one of Kimpton's signature soaking tubs, which was a wonderful way to take a load off after a day of fun. (Ft. Worth is an underappreciated jewel in northern Texas really!) Plus, in true Kimpton fashion, our baby (aka our dog) was welcomed with open arms, including lots of free pets and a comfy dog bed. As always, Kimpton provided a great Inner Circle amenity and made us feel like world class travelers. Even without all that, this hotel would be worth it. Outside of the room, the hotel was hitting on all cylinders, too. The 24th floor - where you check in, how cool is that? - has panoramic views (you can see all the way to Dallas!) and a top shelf bar. Plus that design eye is all through this area, too. Take photos to get inspired, friends! And I can't close without a mention of the staff. Everyone we met was totally awesome. Even with a credit card snafu, they were helpful. (Things happen.) I have to give a special shout out to Wayne for returning my calls and Kayla, Whitney, and (ack - I hope I have this right!) Caroline for just being totally cool and helpful. In closing - let me just say I found out the hotel does not control the valet. Do not hold that against them. The valet... well... it is not very good. The hotel knows it, and they are doing their best with what they have. Again, Kimpton junkie here, and I can tell when things are not Kimpton standards, so it did not surprise me to learn the valet is independent. But don't let it discourage you. Don't bring your stick shift, leave the car for the weekend, and enjoy this gem in the heart of Ft. Worth! Will we be back? Duh.

At approximately 0245 23 Apr 2023 Isaac and another man who would only identify himself as "Jesus" not only used expletives to verbally accost my wife, but also lied to us about there being extra blankets in the hotel upon our request. "Jesus" told us to come to the 24th floor to discuss the issue further, and came across a linen closet full of pillows, towels, sheets, etc. We spent nearly 400 dollars for a suite with a roll away bed in a room that contained no extra blankets. Already that makes no sense, but then to be lied to by overnight personnel and for security to ask us to leave the desk after the situation unfolded is mind-blowing. "Jesus" told my wife and I that he didn't give a fuck about customer service, he didn't give a shit about our concerns and that he didn't care about his job, or give a fuck that we needed an extra blanket, etc etc and so on "Jesus" was aggressive, hostile, blatantly disrespectful, unprofessional, with zero integrity and no business being in this profession. After "Jesus" finished insulting my wife and I we came back to our room 1003 to calm down and magically the linen closet got closed. I heard the elevator open, the linen closet close, and quick feet back to the elevator before I could investigate but the closet had been closed quickly. The overnight staffs behavior is offensive, unbecoming, unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We will be requesting footage of this incident, initiating open record requests as needed, and escalating this to the highest authority. "Jesus" also your us to stay somewhere else next time, which will be no problem. We will never stay here again.

My wife & I stayed here for one night in order to visit the Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival, which is awesome, by the way. The hotel is beautiful! We had a corner room & it was huge, modern, & very well appointed! The bed was very comfortable. All the staff was very friendly & very professional. There is no doubt we will stay here next year during the art festival!

Fabulous stay! Friendly service. The valets are superb. We will always stay here when visiting Fort Worth.

Everything was absolutely 100% perfect. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and respectful. The hotel is gorgeous! The lobby and the rooftop bar is on the top floor with amazing views. Free wine between 5 and 6 PM that was so cool. Room was immaculate! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Keep it up guys you're doing a great job so far!

Had a wonderful after dinner drink at the rooftop bar last night. Beautiful views - wonderful cocktails. The bartenders were super nice and accommodating for some of the more...difficult patrons.

The staff is friendly and helpful but the place is clearly understaffed. Valet is expensive and may take 45 mins to fetch your vehicle - sending me along late to my event several times as the estimates the system sends along are also woefully off as it will tell you 10-20 minutes. The street was literally jammed closed with people trying to get their car valeted but only 1 staffer was available to do the valet and wherever the cars are parked is likely not nearby judging by the rate at which vehicles came out. My room also had half the power outlets out and the lights/usb power on the bed were out, which was very inconvenient for charging devices or reading or not stumbling about in a darkened room at night till you can find a working light. It's just a really expensive place to stay to have such a poor experience.

Came here for an event. First of all, the staff are not trained well. Each person 'forgot' about different charges that I later had to pay for including the parking and security cost. When it came to the end, I went up at least four times to re-activate my card. This was a huge inconvenience since I was always on a time crunch and elevators take forever. Not to mention, the cleaning staff was terrible! Their staff came to my room every morning around 9, 11, 1 and so on always knocking on the door when I had the ' do not disturb' sign outside my room. I would not recommend anyone stay here. I don't like to leave bad reviews ever, but this is one I can't let go especially when the staff members act this way and laugh about it after

So far so good. Evan, the concierge, was a fabulous resource. I had a terrible day and the quaint charm of this hotel turned my frown upside down. This place has it going on. Cool vibe. Cool music. The staff is so welcoming. Hope my daughter chooses TCU so I can come back again! Bedding (as we speak) is super cozy. Air is perfectly perfect. Bathroom is beautiful.

Stayed at the Kimpton for Valentine's Day. We don't often stay at fancier hotels but Bruce at the front desk was amazing and helped us through the whole deal. He deserves a raise!!

Remodeled beautifully in downtown Ft Worth. Stayed here for our anniversary and it was great. We had a corner room on the 18th floor overlooking the city and a thunderstorm moved in. Gotta say that was pretty cool. We dined at Il Modo and just had a little of everything. Great food and great service. Check in is on the 24th floor and there's a quaint bar to have a few drinks. Staff was professional and attentive. There's restraints all over the area so don't worry about that. You can literally walk out the door, pick a direction and walk. Breakfast at The Yolk is highly recommended. All in all a great hotel to stay at for a weekend or a week.

First, the hotel is gorgeous and clean and I wanted so much to LOVE it. Everyone was nice and accommodating except for maybe the bartender. We managed to go from one howling room to another. First, 3 hours into our first night, we were watching a movie in our room and a dog in the next room started barking and howling. Like, consistently. The front desk was super nice and accommodating and moved us to a new room. So we packed everything up again and moved down 4 floors. Unfortunately, a cold front rolled in and the windows howled all night long. By the next morning, on little sleep, we just left a day early. One other bit - I took my daughter up to check out the 24th floor and get a drink for me and my husband. I asked the bartender for one of the beers on tap. He said "none of those taps work, they're just for show." So I asked for the bottle selection - no craft beers except maybe a berry one? Ok, so I just got a glass of wine. He said "it's bone dry, is that ok?" Yes, fine. And then, another customer came up and asked for a mojito. "No mint," said the bartender. And then the customer asked what martinis they had. Bartender said "I wouldn't call them martinis." It was pretty hysterical by this point. I heard the customer order an espresso martini and didn't stick around to see how it turned out. Honestly, like an SNL skit of the fussiest bartender. I get it. This was New Year's Day. So, I'm sure they were totally out of everything from the night before and totally worn out, but man. What a riot.

We stayed here this week for an event at the Ft Worth Convention Center, and had a great stay! The hotel has recently been renovated, and the inside is just beautiful. The decor and feel of the hotel makes you just want to stay and hang out upstairs. Our room was huge, and the beds were very comfortable. A big bonus for me was how welcoming Kimpton Harper was to our dog. No charge or deposits for bringing him along, and they even had complimentary fluffy dog beds and food/water bowls you could borrow for your stay. They even had dog treats at check in! I'd also like to note that every member of their staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect experience! We loved it! Such a beautiful property. Great design. Main area was both spacious and cozy. Lovely restaurant. The staff was excellent: warm, helpful, excited about their brand. Kayla was particularly kind to us. They were super nice to our two Golden Retrievers! Lots of love, pets, treats! The sleeping room was comfortable, quiet and sleep-inducing! Several classy restaurants nearby. Cannot wait to return! Well done, Kimpton!

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, and I will say that everyone in the hotel was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the experience I have gone through after I checked out and realized I had left my Apple Watch in my room. As soon as I got home and noticed I had contacted the hotel and made them aware of the situation. They informed me that they would talk to the room service manager and got my information and let me know they would contact me regardless of the outcome. After a day without contact I returned to the hotel and asked the front desk, which they were completely unaware of the situation. The girl at the front desk contacted the "room service manager" on the radio, after she had made contact she went in the back office as for me to not be able to hear the conversation, seems pretty shady to me. Anyway, there was no Watch in their "lost & found" inventory. I was informed the room service manager would inspect the room himself and contact me. I made sure to get his email as their communication at this point was non-existent. After a few mor days of no contact. I reached out to the room service manager "Kyle". I had informed him of my situation and after a day I received an email claiming they had not found a watch in the hotel or the room I stayed in. He mentioned I should try the "find my watch" feature on my phone as if I hadn't already tried using that tactic. Now being 10 days after the fact it was out of the question. He had included the "Director of Rooms" Olaolu on the email as well. I replied stating the obvious that I had tried the find my watch feature in my phone to no avail. I was 100% sure I had left my watch in the room so at this point whomever had cleaned the room had to have taken the watch. I had asked to come in and check the room my self. Yet again no response from either Kyle nor Olaolu. Five days later I send another email inquiring about the previous email and at this point strongly questioning the integrity and values of the company for not even attempting to contact a guest that had something that cost over $550 stolen from their room and that spent $475+ at the hotel. Olaolu replied to my email informing me that "all avenues had been exhausted" in looking for my watch and that it was no longer their responsibility. In other words, "we won't acknowledge that your watch was stolen and will not be compensating you for your stay and we do not value you as a guest." I contacted the parent company informing them of all this and was ignored by them as well. Definitely the worst guest service experience I have ever been on the receiving end of. It's like pulling teeth trying to get a response from anyone, they don't care what happens to you or your belongings, they just want to take your money. Then protect their employees who steal. Don't stay here unless you don't mind having your valuables stolen.
