Yelp
I was looking for a place to stay in Seattle, that had hopefully a central location. Since this was my first time actually visiting, I had to pick, and make sure I would hit a jackpot. I think it is safe to say this hotel fit the bill for what I was looking for.
My flight came in pretty late, and I took an uber to get to the hotel. Since it was dark out, I really couldn't tell what everything looked like- I did notice though the hotel is valet only, and it is on a one way street. Also, it seems the hotel is on top of a hill (who would have known Seattle has hills that ALMOST rival SF?) that has a steep drop on one side.
I went in the revolving doors, and there was the check in desk immediately to the right. There is a cozy lobby with big mirrors and if I remember correctly, I think a fireplace as well (I am not gonna lie, I was pretty drunk when I checked in, compliments of Delta). The lady who checked me in (sorry forgot name) was efficient and friendly. With my checkin/status, I got enough cards to get free breakfast/lunch for 2/3 days (I stayed from a fri-mon).
I went around the corner, and went up the elevator. You do need a key card to activate the elevator (I can def appreciate that extra touch). I remember being on one of the highest floors, and that my room faced another building, so there was alley down below.
My room had 2 queens (I know, I am a single traveller and I request 2 beds), and a nice variety of stuff from the mini bar. I was even greeted with a nice card and a recipe for an Irish Coffee. Needless to say, the cream and the whiskey were consumed.
The bed was comfy, and for the most part, I slept well. However, I was awaken early in the morning due to the activities in the alley way (I assume trash pickup). That was kind of annoying.
The bathroom was a decent size, plenty of towels and decent toiletries. No issues there. There were also yoga mats and robes available in the room.
Back to the mini bar stuff- I think I emptied the dry good section in a matter of 2 days. There are even little souvenirs you can take, but for the price, I declined (hell you would think for every $50 you spend on the minibar youd get a discount, lol). They have an assortment of candies and chips as well. If you go for the beers, always check the dates- especially for the prices you pay- I ended up only buying the water from the fridge.
The restaurant they have on hand, Outlier, is attached from the lobby (I think), and also has an exterior entrance. Food was alright.
Expect a 5/10 minute walk to visit Pikes Place and the mall with the monorail. There is plenty of food and shopping in between.
I enjoyed the stay here. Glad I was able to visit. I would probably come back here if I made another trip to Seattle.
