This hotel is so nice. Clean, beautiful, great location. It has things to do outside and inside with a beautiful ambience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee served in the morning, refillable water station and water provided in the lobby as well. The restaurant attached was so good we went for breakfast and dinner and both amazing. Room was clean, spacious, bed was so comfortable and me and husband loved the little radio that was on the nightstand. The gym is a little tight but it gets the job for a quick workout to get in while away. Parking was good, $30 self parking not too bad as the location of the hotel is great and close to everything and attached to a mall and elevator directly into parking lot. Dog friendly hotel, so many cute pups and weddings were also going on during our stay! We really enjoyed our stay overall and we would definitely stay again!

I can't comment on the rooms as I booked their ballroom for a corporate dinner. I worked closely with Nicola who was great. Everyone loved the food, and enjoyed bar service so much I saw a 100$ bill in the tip jar! While there's plenty of space to spread out, due to the L shape it's tough to keep people from bunching up in the main area outside the ballroom. They did a great job getting everything ready at once considering 100+ people got steak. Some of us weren't happy with their steak as there was medium well done. I saw several people accommodated with a more rare steak, and didn't hear any grumbling from the staff. I also went to check out the space the night prior and the front desk staff were very helpful! The common areas are all quite luxurious looking, as well. The hotel is next to a river, it's a very pretty spot. Everyone was nice and did a great job with our group of 200. Shout-out to Bill from the AV team who made everything seamless.

Google
We enjoyed our stay here, and I'd recommend it to others. There was no in room coffee and the hotel restaurant was hard to get into (reservations recommended). There were several amenities, but few of them were included in the cost. Still, the staff was lovely and the location was pretty good (a slight hike to get to the rail line, but through a nice area). Given all the above, the price was probably reasonable. The hotel advertised a kid friendly, but we didn't think it was particularly.

Google
The hotels in Cambridge are expensive this time of year but the Marlowe was worth it. Usually don't review hotels on business trips but this stay didn't feel like business. Comfortable & stylish room. The staff was also friendly & accommodating. Missed the Kimpton wine reception so appreciated the coupon for a complimentary glass of wine at the bar after a late check in. Since I'm an early riser, also appreciated the Kurig coffee machine promptly delivered to my room upon request. The yoga mat was also nice for a morning stretch. The receptionist also offered a late check out as a IHG silver member which was nice.

I have stayed at this hotel at least half dozen times over the last 14 months for business purposes, with each stay being a minimum of three nights. It is cozy, quiet (especially courtyard facing rooms), clean, and a wonderful home away from home. It sounds like a silly reason to enjoy a hotel, but I love the yoga mats in the room! So perfect for a traveler like me. Also key is the nice big refrigerator in which I store breakfast foods and drinks for the week. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly almost always. I did experience one unfortunate incident earlier this year and it was handled poorly (tho ultimately corrected); suffice it to say to verify the charges not only your invoice at check-out, but also on the resulting credit card bill. I am still rating five stars because during my next stay following the incident, I was upgraded to a river facing room, which was beautiful (see photo). And frankly the treatment during the incident was very different than the usual professionalism of the front desk staff. I am looking forward to many returns!

Google
I have already stayed here twice in the past 6 months, 3rd time will be this weekend. I have not had any issues coming here. Valet is always helpful. The hotel is pet friendly for my well behaved pup. A hotel person always gives him lots of treats and my pup is very happy. The restaurant downstairs is great, I like the steak frites. Love Kimpton hotels. I have also tried their breakfast and it was great.

The Kimpton Marlowe is an excellent hotel in Cambridge! The front desk agents and staff are all very friendly, the hotel is spotless and modern, and the view from our hotel room was exceptional! The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from Longmere Station. There is a wonderful mall attached to the property. If you are looking for somewhere to eat while in Cambridge, we ate at Tap Room 151, which was also near the T & the food was great and reasonably priced there. If you are in Boston for work, travel, or pleasure, I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Google
Another excellent Kimpton stay! We love the Marlowe's location with easy access to the Cambridgeside (?) Shopping Mall for retail therapy if needed. We have stayed at several Kimptons in other parts of the US but the Marlowe is still our favorite! From the minute you enter their unique circular inner courtyard and are greeted by the gracious doormen, you are treated to the friendliness of all the outstanding staff here especially Devon at the front desk. Don't forget to attend their daily wine hour where you will have a chance to chat with staff and share travel tips with other guests. We learned a lot during our stay, helpful tips about area restaurants and attractions. We had brunch at the hotel's restaurant , Bombara (sp?) and had yummy eggs benny and avocado toast which were both delicious. Our server Kat was friendly and quick and attentive to our table. Our room looked out over the Charles river and the view looking over to Boston was terrific. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The king bed was cushy with lovely high quality linens and pillows. Service all around was exceptional. We hope to be back soon. Thank you all.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel! It is located in Cambridge and seems like a hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had to change rooms without an issue. One restaurant is onsite, and there is valet and self parking. To self park, you need to take a right just past the main entrance. There is a sign, but hard to see at night.

Yelp
I liked this Kimpton. The wine hour was fun with some decent wines. The rooms are relatively large and comfortable although my bed had a little sag. Those with pets are treated very well without hassles. There is a mandatory amenity free which gives you nothing of value which is annoying. Staff were pleasant and the hotel is well located

Yelp
My favorite Kimpton in the Boston area (and now only Kimpton in the area) is back! After some important conversations with the GM, I cautiously booked a weekend stay here after less than stellar stays over the last two years. Communication is key and this team is listening. The dialogue prior to my stay was important and gave me faith this property cared about this loyal customer. Upon check in, I was greeted with kindness. Our beautiful room was on the top floor and had a jet tub (which I love). We went back down to wine hour which is from 5-6 and then waited in line for The Miracle Bar (a pop up in the lobby bar of the hotel). Took a little while, but we made friends with others in line. Would love it if guests had the inside track to get reservations or first drinks here. the bar is super cute and is something patrons look forward to every year. After one round of drinks there, we went to the hotel restaurant called Bambara. I'm a huge fan of this place and was happy to see Chef Adam still at the helm. Staff was gracious and treated us like gold. See the restaurant review separately. This location is great in Cambridge. Self parking is an easy option with the garage just below, but shared with Cambridgeside Galleria. I was elated to see they added three Diamond Elite parking spots in front. They're not monitored though, so non-elites use these spaces too. Kimpton's are pet friendly and do not charge to bring your furry family members. I didn't have my fur kids with me on this trip, but management was kind enough to think of them too. So happy with this last stay. Thank you Joe, Tara, Sophie, Elijah, Matthew, and Chef Adam. See you again soon.

Yelp
Love this hotel. Top rate hotel. They go above and beyond for guests. I was able to check out a little late. The rooms are quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area is lush greenery. Lots of parks and areas to walk. They also offer a food and beverage credit each day and provide coffee in the AM, wine at night, and cold water all day.
google avatar

Yelp
Great hotel & dog friendly at no additional charge. They have a nice circle driveway that makes unloading & loading up the car easy. Rooms are nice with easy access to water to go for walks or runs. They have a wine happy hour ever night from 5-6 which was an added bonus. Parking costs not bad at $30 a night for self park.

Yelp
We love the Kimpton Hotels, first it is dog friendly and they don't charge a fee for pets. They have bowls and treats available and pet care services. Next is their 5-6 pm free wine. A nice time to spend some time with friends or get to meet new ones, our dog certainly did . This particular Kimpton has a nice art installation at the entrance of the hotel, a nice armillary. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. We've never had a bad experience at the Kimpton (this is our 3rd Kimpton).

Yelp
My daughter and I spent a week in Boston over New Years, to celebrate all things hockey. I picked the Hotel Marlowe because I enjoy the Kimpton brand, and the Marlowe was conveniently located near TD Gahden and the T at Lechmere. We ended up paying a bit extra to have a river view, which I'm not sure was entirely worth it. The housekeeping was excellent, the staff were all friendly, and we enjoyed the winter pop up bar in the lobby. Next time I'm in town for a game, I'll be staying here again!

Yelp
After traveling through Italy and Spain and staying in some really nice resorts IE Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott in Venice we were a little skewed in our experiences with those hotels. Then we took a family trip to Boston and stayed the Kimpton Hotel Marlow. Rooms were very nice and the location was excellent. You share a parking garage with the Mall and even greater bonus they have EV Charging stations for our EV rental! Above all was the service. You can have lots of amenities but without the customer service it's not worth it and the front desk was super accommodating and took care of whatever we needed.. I will be looking to stay at more IHG hotels in the futons I travel for business and personal.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Kimpton. I was there for four days and it was a lovely place to lay my head at night. Things I loved: The location - it's in Cambridge, but is literally a stone's throw from Boston. It's convenient to so many sights. The restaurant - we had several meals at the restaurant in this hotel and they were all delicious. The view - we booked a room with a river view and it was so nice to wake up and look out at the water and the changing leaves. There's a mall next door - i needed hairspray and luckily there's a mall next door with a CVS! I didn't even have to go outside because they share a garage with the mall so you just walk through. Sweet staff - everyone was helpful and cheery. Coffee and wine in the lobby - y'all, the coffee is good! The wine was ok. It's free - get some wine. It's very clean Full sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower Complimentary bottles of water at the entrance. I grabbed one each day when returning from busy sightseeing days Citrus water in the lobby daily - so refreshing Very close to the airport Things I didn't like - no bathtub No coffee maker in the room No room service I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Great hotel. They've got the basics done well. Friendly staff, great lemon water, coffee and hot chocolate in the main lobby. Clean and functional rooms. They even had umbrellas at the reception. My favorite hotel in Boston so far, will be coming back

Yelp
We came to Bambara Restaurant & Bar before heading into Boston, and our server, David, provided excellent and friendly service. His personality and professionalism are a huge asset for the Hotel Marlowe.

Claire N.

Yelp
This hotel is gorgeous and the food at Bambara is amazing. The staff was so kind. But they also really need to do a better job in following up with requests. We stayed here recently. We got to the hotel earlier than check in time. No problem, we were prepared to wait. The front desk offered to call us when our room was ready. They never called - we called them and our room had been ready for 45 minutes. We have two young children and we could have used the time to get them settled. It was also not pleasant to see the tub had not been cleaned. There were clear cigarette burns and food crumbs in it. We also ordered takeout from the restaurant a few times (little kids don't do great at fancy restaurants). The staff always said they'd call when our food was ready and they never called. Once I called and kept getting the voicemail so I went downstairs and our food had been sitting for a while. It's just kind of frustrating.

Yelp
The location is great. It was pretty clean although the furniture seemed a little tired looking. Everything was clean. Sheets were good. We had breakfast and that was good for me but my husband's was not good. All in all I was happy with this hotel. It's in a safe area.

Yelp
For the holidays, they have cute little miracle bar pop up next to the Bambara bar. Such a cute vibe, the drinks are nice. The decorations are so festive and truly adds an enjoyable time with friends or family. We also had some chicken wings and friends and they were delicious! They're open until the 24th of this month.

Yelp
It's whats on the inside that counts! This tiny hotel has a lot to offer. When you pull into the drive-in front entrance you are wow'd by the decor. Looks like it has been recently renovated. The rooms I felt could have been better since it's a Kimpton brand hotel. Nonetheless, they were pleasant and up to date. Outlets easily accessible next to the bed. Large flat screen TV mounted on the wall. A fridge and a safe accompanied the room. This hotel has a 2nd floor with rooms for events such as weddings or business meetings. It also has a mini gym room up on the top floor with new equipment: treadmills, dumbells (up to 50lbs), a pully machine, and a few kettle bells. The restaurant on the main floor was good, but the menu is limited. The burger was super juicy and delicious, but a tad small for my liking. The staff here are super friendly and accommodating! I was very pleased in my dealings with many of them. There is a parking garage below the building, and also valet. The price difference is self parking $30 vs valet $45 (plus tips).

Yelp
I was very disappointed by this hotel, this is how the bed sheets were this pas memorial day weekend

Yelp
I booked a room at the Kimpton Marlowe In Cambridge for a romantic getaway with my partner, more specifically for a relaxing spa night in the beautiful, large tubs that are pictured on the website/google as "Bathtub". When booking I went for the only package with "bathtub" in the name, since there were no interior tours of the bathrooms, only the room itself, there was no for sure way to tell but since it was $100 more I assumed it was the large tub. They only had the accessible Bathtub room so I booked for that and we packed and set off, when we arrived we found a tub not even big enough for one of us to fit in! After asking the staff about the picture versus our room they informed us it was the Suite and those are the only large tubs in the hotel. At this point we decided to make the best of it, we were going to try to fit in and when we go to turn the bath on we get blasted by the top shower head. We call maintenance after 10 minutes of fiddling with it and even he cannot figure out the issue, he then says he will move our room and try to get us an upgrade. He returns and says he has moved us 10 doors down and left us a complimentary wine bottle, it is a cheap pinot gris and the new rooms bathroom is even smaller!! At this point i just want to relax and I'm dehydrated from the room move, we go to get ice and water and the only water that isn't tap is $9 a bottle!! We have one back in our room so we say F-it and crack it open, I MEAN LITERALLY had to stab the top open because they wouldn't bring up water and the bottle was defective!!! After that we go for a walk to clear my head and we come back to a very hot room, we turn the thermostat all the way down to 65° and the fan on High but still no difference we both sweat the entire night. This place looks nice on the outside but was very disappointed the same did not reflect within the hotel, Very disappointed.

Yelp
We had a fantastic stay here for the long weekend. The room was well decorated and particularly spacious which was nice for a change! It was so nice to have a proper restaurant in the lobby - we ate there for two nights and had such a lovely experience. The staff everywhere was kind and generous. They let guests borrow a polaroid camera for the day - my daughter loved taking pictures on our excursions while we were there. It was also a bonus that we could walk to Starbuck's in the mornings! This is also dog friendly, with a welcome list for your dog! Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back soon!

Yelp
Due to a list minute safety issue with our BNB, we ended up at the Kimpton and were so happy to have stayed here instead. The lobby and general feel of the hotel are very upscale and classy. The rooms are spacious and quiet as well and the linens are quality. The main issue we had here was with it being pet friendly. On our floor there was a room that left their large dog in the room literally all day until approx 10pm each night before they'd come in. The dog was not a happy one and barked nonstop the entire time. While I am glad the hotel is pet friendly, I wish they did more to ensure the stay was comfortable for ALL guests. When I went down to ask to be moved or for something to happen, the night manager said that several had already complained and his options were limited. Which basically amounted to sorry, deal with it. There HAS to or at least NEEDS to be something in place for this type of situation. Thankfully it did not impede our sleep much, but just a warning to potential guests. Also, parking is expensive and charged nightly, even without valet... Overall it's a great stay, in a safe area just outside of downtown Boston. Just be forewarned about the issues mentioned.
google avatar

Brooke N.

Yelp
Such a nice hotel and perfect location. I would just look out for some hidden fees and they charge you for water $8 a bottle. So bring your own cooler if needed. But in general a very nice hotel, great staff, comfortable beds, etc.

Yelp
I never dreamed that I would give a Kimpton hotel less than five stars. I am a "Kimpton junkie" that always makes a point to stay at a Kimpton when one is in town, and I was very excited to try yet another new (to me) one. Unfortunately, this experience was unsatisfying and not to the standards that I expect from the chain, and certainly not for an Inner Circle member. From the moment I arrived, I felt a little put off. I arrived with a rental car that I was planning to return after dropping off our stuff. We were greeted gruffly by the doorman who ominously told me that I had 15 minutes to leave the car. I felt rushed and uncomfortable during the check-in process as a result. Then, our room experience really left me feeling dissatisfied. As a long-time Inner Circle member, I have come to expect being a little spoiled by the chain. I almost always get a suite upgrade, and this is the first property that did not offer a suite or even a corner room, but rather I was given a basic king room. The upgrade was that it faced the city skyline. That was fine.. except they could not manage to get me into a room that was sufficiently quiet. All of the skyline rooms had adjoining doors, and the noise transfer between rooms is unlike any other hotel I have ever stayed at. I have stayed in many rooms with adjoining doors, but in this property, the next room will sound like they are in the room with you. We were placed next to a party - literal party - that went on all. night. long. I was woken by laughter and yelling at various intervals, from 4am to even 6:30am. (Karma kicked them by having a fire alarm drill that started right after they finally seemed to go to sleep. Oh and yes - for about an hour in the morning, while my husband was trying to work, we had to listen to a fire alarm drill, of which we were not informed of ahead of time.) I was promised that they were checking out, but when I got back to my room after a long and very stressful day, I found there was yet another party going on in that room. At one point, it was implied I should just deal with it because it was almost New Years and people were going to party. Perhaps you should have better construction or figure out a way to make guests more comfortable rather than just having them suck it up? Marlowe's solution was to downgrade me to a room that overlooked the canal - and directly into the offices of Kayak located next door, so we didn't feel comfortable having our drapes open anyway. I had to pack all of my belonging and trudge them to another floor (a lower floor) - and no one even seemed to recognize this was an unnecessary and inappropriate hardship. Even the employee that came to deliver a luggage cart commented on the noise when he came into my room, so it was clear that I was not simply being a diva. In sum, we spent the remainder of our trip in an inferior room with no apology or acknowledgment of how improper the whole thing was. That is absolutely not the service that I expect - or have ever received - from Kimpton, certainly not as an Inner Circle member. It was a far cry from Kimpton properties like the Fontenot in New Orleans, the Palomar in Phoenix, or the Monaco in Seattle, all properties who really treat their Inner Circle members well. The room was comfortable enough, and it was clean. Service was truly a mixed bag. The gentleman at the desk on the first night when we complained about the noises is the only person who did try to go above and beyond. Everyone else put in the bare minimum. I had to ask twice to get a Keurig delivered to my room. Also, if not an Inner Circle member, be aware that they charge a horrific daily amenity fee, but they don't actually have the amenities. For example, when I tried to get a Polaroid camera, one of the gimmicky amenities they offer, they told me they didn't have any film. I was honestly surprised I got the Keurig at all. I am glad that there is also the Nine Zero in Boston (which has been superb in the past) because I will have a Kimpton option when I return to Boston because this is not the property for me. Inner Circle members should keep that all in mind.

Yelp
I recently held my wedding, reception and post-wedding brunch at the Marlowe Hotel. From the very start, Rachel and the planning team was welcoming, professional, accommodating and super friendly to work with. They offered great suggestions, were extremely communicative and responsive, and on top of every detail. On the day of the wedding, Kristen was a superb coordinator of all the set up, expertly working with us and staff to ensure all went smoothly. And it did! The rest of the staff were extremely professional, gracious and helpful throughout our stay. They made us and our guests feel right at home. And the food? It was exceptional! Our guests are still raving about the reception appetizers, entrees and brunch (the following day)! The presentation and quality of food was excellent and the portions were generous. Everything and everyone exceeded our expectations and the entire weekend couldn't have gone more smoothly. These will be lasting memories. The Marlowe Hotel is highly recommended for a wedding, special event, dinner or overnight stay!

Yelp
Looking for a hotel in Cambridge, I found this Kimpton Hotel in the heart of everything. What was intriguing about this particular hotel was they offered access to free bikes, kayaks and there is a wine happy hour?? I pictured my wife and I doing a triathlon of sports during the day then toasting our accomplishment with some vino. Merica! I take the Port Jeff Ferry to Bridgeport early. We go to Crackerbarrel for a quick breakfast and then head towards Boston. Once we crossed the MA border, there was an accident where a truck spilled paper billboard signs all over the highway. No one was hurt and I'm thinking: its paper, just drive over it? Traffic was halted and I'm losing biking hours! We finally get to Boston and it's late. No biking. No strolling. Nothing. We check in, throw our bags in the room and change to meet our dinner reservation. We wake up and the next day its raining.. I'm sure the grounds of the hotel were postcard New England picturesque. I took a nice shower and saw the hotel parking garage. 2020 I hate you.

Yelp
Always left a review and it was removed for whatever reason . But literally such an overpriced hotel with low quality rooms compared to other hotels at the same Price. If you're traveling in Boston you can find a million places better than this. I also find it weird they removed my first review

Yelp
Great stay. Gorgeous room and views! Scooter and helmet for the kids was awesome, and it's a 5 minute walk to Lechmere. We loved it. My only complaint was the lack of masks from staff--especially when they had to come into our room with linens.

Yelp
Another great stay this year! Cute cocktail holiday pop up with delicious drinks, very comfy room with view of Boston. Big plus is the staff changed my room "4" times which is insanely nice to me, just to make sure I got a tub. It was confusing but turned out well. Cheers to Marlowe
google avatar

Yelp
Stayed on 5/6/23, WiFi didn't work, phone charger provided upon request didn't work. There was a wedding party there and it was insanely loud at night, kept hoping it would stop and had to ask them it was probably like 3am. But I chock that up mostly to bad luck on our part. The staff was nice though and the room was pretty spacious

Yelp
The front desk was super friendly & helpful! When you walk into the hotel it's beautiful! Fancy, velvet couches & chairs! Very classy & comfortable! The bed is comfortable & the pillows! My king suite had a mini fridge but no microwave or coffee marker... but there is free coffee in the lobby everyday.

Yelp
Undoubtedly, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Front desk was friendly and super helpful. To the AA gal with glasses who helped us, thank you so very much! The hotel is so fancy and plush, velvet chairs and fruit-flavored water at the front -it was such an experience. Our room had a spectacular view of downtown Boston/waterfront. And the room itself, gorgeously decorated and simply delightful. The green accents were just great -whoever your interior designer is, 5 stars. And the bed....omg. So much better than my own? I even tried to find the brand so I could buy my own hahah. Everything was so plushy and I regret not allocating more time to stay at this wonderful hotel. Some amenities ($24 total charge) include polaroids (they didn't have any film though, ugh), kayaks/bikes for use + $10 voucher for food/bar -we didn't use any as we didn't have time. Valet is $45, cash only. We opted for the parking structure instead, $30 per day and had the front desk scan our ticket (highly rec the structure for parking). Structure is just past the valet lot and entrance was obscured slightly by orange cones/construction. Just drive slowly in that area so you don't miss entrance. Amazing hotel, I'll definitely be back. Plus, it's only 1 mile away from North End/Little Italy + 10 minutes from airport. Great location.

Yelp
Clean rooms No room service Restaurant does NOT server breakfast for sit down, got to take it to go. Restaurant was not open for seating at 1:30pm - WTF. HD to walk down to CPK for lunch.

Yelp
I had a long weekend trip here to celebrate my darling's birthday. It was so close to everything. Immediately next to the mall. Across the street from the science museum. Just a minutes walk to the water way. Only about a two blocks or 5 minute walk to the train station to take you into the heart of the city. The place is also beautiful. I love the bold colors; gold, blue, red. Feels a just a teensy little bit regal. I also love they have wine hour for guests. Also water and coffee in the mornings. This place has THE BEST customer service. I was thrown off guard and taken aback when I made a call to the front desk and the gentleman on the other line already knew who it was "Hello Ms. Huerta how can I help you this evening?" It actually made me blush lol . But I also loved that when I first check-in I received a message to my cell phone also to receive a text inquiring how my stay has been and if I needed anything. It is excellent! ANOTHER BONUS! They also are Dog friendly!! They had a dog behind their front desk because they were pet sitting for another guest. You can't beat that kind of service! I would hands down stay here again.

Good hotel for the cost. You get a fairly large room with a mini-fridge, large plushy beds, and a large bathroom. My only issue here was the cleanliness of the room. There were several large scrapes, marks, and stains throughout the room. I noticed a few large marks on the walls and stains on the curtains which of course made me question, how good is the staff at cleaning this place. Overall nothing too terrible to note. If you're into walking this a perfect stay for that because the hotel is quite a ways away from downtown and places to eat unless you want to eat at the restaurant downstairs.

Yelp
Had such an amazing stay at the Kimpton! The staff was very accommodating! Our room had a cute little view of the river next to the hotel. The front desk can give you a polaroid with film to use during your stay for a $75 refundable deposit as long as it is return in the same conditions it was given to you. That was honestly one of my favorite parts as i can keep little memories of our trip! They have a restaurant and bar in the hotel, and the front desk it open at night to buy snacks, drinks, and games. The bar was very busy when we were there so we never really got to try it. They also have a complimentary wine tasting 5-6pm. The room was very nice and clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. They are located almost across the street from the Boston Science Museum and only about a 10 minute drive from North End! They offer valet parking for $45/day or you can park right next to the hotel in a parking garage for $30/day. If you chose to park in the lot the hotel will provide a parking pass that allows you to come and go as many times as you want during the day without having to pay every time. The parking garage also has direct access to the hotel elevator. I would definitely recommend booking your stay here next time you are visiting the Cambridge/Boston area!

Yelp
Very nice hotel with an outstanding staff. We brought our dogs since they were dog friendly, and since I was a loyal IHG member, upgraded us to a suite.

Yelp
Aklilu was kind and welcoming as we entered the hotel parking area. He was so helpful. Check-in was seamless and quick. The room is spectacular with a great smell when you walk in and wonderful view. We entered the room and both my kids said, "Wow!" Will add Hotel Marlowe to my list to stay again.

Yelp
2 stars mainly for the service. The hotel itself is amazing. I was really excited for my fiance and I's stay here last weekend. I booked the room about 3 weeks in advance and reached out to concierge to have something small set up in the room for my fiance's bday before we arrived (e.g. a bottle of champagne, a happy birthday note). We agreed on this and I gave Jessica my fiance's name so it could be personalized. I did the digital check-in the day before, hoping that we could check in promptly when we arrived. The check-in line was quite long upon arrival around 3:40pm (check-in is at 3pm), which was fine. Once we got to the front, we were told the room was not be ready and to wait. Around 4pm, our room was ready (again, not a big deal), but upon arrival to our room, nothing was set up for my fiance's bday which was very disappointing considering I informed them weeks ago. Plus, I paid for the suite so that we could make it special! I was certainly expecting better service when I'm paying close to $400 a night. When I reached to see what could be done, I was told that all 'amenities' are delivered around 4-5pm. We patiently waited... It was about 5:30pm and nothing had arrived. We had dinner plans so left and when we got back, there were chocolate strawberries and a bottle of champagne (yay!). However, the bday note was written out to myself, not my fiance. This whole thing was a disaster. Overall, the hotel itself is nice. The corner suite had a beautiful view. The room was clean and the bar downstairs was great. It's a great place to stay. However, if you're looking to set up something special with help of the team here, I would think twice. I've been a long time Kimpton fan and really enjoyed the whole experience. This was my first time at this one and it was quite disappointing.

Yelp
While this is a luxury hotel it doesn't rate a higher star sadly. We got off to a rocky start at checkin but after that the staff we encountered were wonderful. We were there for a wedding and the food was underwhelming given the establishment and the prices, it was delicious and service prompt, but that being said again underwhelming given the level of luxury the hotel boasts. The room we had, a jr suite was very spacious and the views exceptional, we were on the eighth floor. Sadly as a renovated room, within the last six's months we were told, it already showed serious signs of wear, again not up to the quality or price I would expect from a hotel if this caliber. There is a nice park next to the hotel and it's attached to a mall, with the river running by but after that anything else is a hike if your walking or a drive.

Yelp
Unusable internet. Nice looking place, friendly front desk, and the rooms are well designed. But the Wi-Fi is stunningly insufficient; can't remember when I last saw such low speeds. Not usable for any streaming but it's even too slow for basic browsing. If you want a quiet hotel stay, you will probably like it here. But if you are traveling for business or have any other need to use technology, this is not your hotel.

Yelp
Hotel is great and interior is impeccable, just like you expect from Kimpton's aesthetics. But: 1. My dad came here by himself with 3 suitcases and nobody offered him help to bring the suitcases or even load the cart. Lobby just said, "Oh yeah, you can take that!" He was taken aback by their response after checking in. 2. There was some hair (looks like cut/shaved hair and loosely fallen hair) on the bathroom floor but we were told that "there is no other option at the moment". And also on the long pillow. They all mean the housekeeping did not go through them properly to me. Manager came in at night and inspected the situation and cleaned the stuff himself, which we appreciate. 3. The phone in my dad's room is dead. 4. We were not informed that hotel cleaning must be requested. I wondered what the use of the "do not disturb" sign is then. 5. Cafe was pretty good for coffee and breakfast. We are loyal to Kimpton but I am not sure, our experience is kinda unexpected. Anyway, props to the overnight manager with a manbun!!

Yelp
"Free" WiFi at this hotel is terrible to the point it's useless. In 2022 this is just unacceptable. Especially for the price I am paying here.

Yelp
This is a very decent hotel in Cambridge very close to Boston. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. What I like best is you can bring your dog and no fees no questions which is worth a lot. There is an attached restaurant that I also found to have better than average food. While pouches are free the parking is not. T stop (subway) is about a 10 minute walk away.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel as the last part of my mattress run to achieve Spire status... having stayed here before with my family, I was excited to see what was to offer this time around. While my group got a nice suite upgrade and we got to spin the Just Chilling wheel for free parking, I was a bit disappointed with the service and the room. There were weird marks on the door and there was a leftover ripped bag from someone's previous stay behind the curtain. They forgot to deliver my water after 1.5 hours of waiting and were generally just slow at requests as well.

Yelp
Super lovely staff, the rooms are beautiful and clean, and there's a free wine reception every night from 5-6pm!!! Honestly, what more could you want? If you miss the wine reception, they'll even hold some wine for you at the front desk. Sometimes they put out activities in the beautiful lobby to do (for Halloween they had pumpkins to draw on) during the wine reception, too. I had such a great time!

Yelp
We loved staying at this Kimpton Marlowe! It was conveniently located in Cambridge just 5 minutes away from the main Downton Boston/North End area. Upon arriving, the gentleman at the front took our bags right away and placed them for us inside. Heidy, at check-in, was SUPER nice and helped accommodate our needs. She went above and beyond during our check in and check out to ensure that we had an excellent and comfortable stay. Our room was super clean, modern, beautiful, bright, and spacious. The room was nice and cool. The beds were SUPER comfortable. There was a fridge. We called down to have coffee machine brought up and they brought it right away. Our view overlooked a beautiful garden and the downtown Boston area. We asked Khalid where we should go for dinner celebrations that night and he kindly offered us a few suggestions that he thought we would like. The hotel is a short walk from downtown and a moderate walk to Harvard Square/Somerville. There is a reserved entrance, so it's super easy to get into Ubers. There's also a CVS/mall closeby in case you need to pick up any items that you need. We went down to the restaurant for brunch one day and we had a great time. The food was amazing; great selection offered. Our server was AMAZING - so nice, so responsive, so attentive (probably one of the best that we had in Boston)- and the overall dining experience was wonderful. There was another woman who helped us on our second day with extending our trip, which was very helpful. Overall: great location (close to Harvard square, go-to spots in Cambridge, and downtown Boston). Walkable. Easy to get an Uber. Close to stores. GREAT rooms (comfortable bed, spacious, bright, cool). Great amenities (coffee maker, fridge, microwave if you need, happy hour, coffee hour in the AM), and super friendly staff (Heidy, Khalid, everyone else at the front desk - sorry didn't catch your names!! -, the servers at the restaurant), and the restaurant too. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Were I to have one recommendation for the Kimpton Hotel Marlowe it'd be this: Consolidate your outdoor ashtrays into a single area. The only outdoor space this hotel sports is that in the off-street roundabout for valet parking. In this space, which is quite pleasant, there are comfortable seating areas on either side of the valet stand and hotel entranceway. Also on either side? Ashtrays. I enjoy sitting outside, both in the morning over a cup of coffee and in the evening when Red Sox games are being projected in giant format, onto a wall in this area. Why then, should I be forced to do so amongst smokers? No sooner did I sit in one comfortable chair grouping than a smoker would appear to use the ashtray nearby. If I moved to the other side the situation would repeat itself. Hotel Marlowe, please consolidate ashtrays and amass smokers on one side and leave us non-smokers a little space from which to enjoy your outdoor space. Tiny rant over; that is my sole complaint about this hotel. Hotels in Boston are expensive and the Marlowe, because of its location, can be found for a little less overall than an equivalent place in the Back Bay area. The secret here is that this hotel is extremely well-located for your foot-based foray into Boston proper. It's also mere blocks from the Larchmere T stop. Staying in this part of Cambridge is, as such, as good as being right in Boston. Like I've been led to understand about every Kimpton hotel, they are quirky and fun providers of rooms. Translation? Free, nightly wine happy hour, free bicycle rentals (locks and helmets included), free kayak rentals, 24/7 gym, free morning coffee (and snacks) downstairs, and dogs permitted. This is a nice assortment of offerings. Upon check-in I was happily upgraded to a water-facing room and given a chit (redeemable in the on-site restaurant) for my free wine since I'd missed the earlier happy hour. Neither of these were necessary, both were welcome and appreciated. I liked the way this hotel did these small things, upping my enjoyment level. The hotel itself is immaculate and the rooms are comfortable and reasonably spacious. The room lacked a dresser though, so if you're one who unpacks into the room furnishings you won't be doing so here. You'll also fall short if you're a fan of highfalutin' hotels. For all its charms the hotel is not a showstopper, it's simply quite nice. Self-parking is $25/day ($35/day for valet) and you can get here easily from Logan Airport via the T. Bottom line? Next time I'm in Boston I'd have no hesitation about staying here again.

Yelp
The hotel will not provide a receipt for my stay. I need to give it to my office. No one answers phones. This shouldn't be that difficult. Additionally, my room was in the middle of a block of rooms for a bar mitvah with kids screaming in the hallway. Sure would be nice to speak with someone....

Yelp
The room was large and clean. The hotel is beautiful. While there was no room service, they still charged a $25 service fee on top of the rate. Then it is $30 to park for the night and breakfast was not included. There is also no free internet, it was $12.99 per day. The beds were adequate but not terribly comfortable, the sheets were scratchy and not soft and they don't have a coffee maker in the rooms. While this hotel is very beautiful, I would not stay here again with all the little hidden fees on top of their high prices to begin with.

Yelp
Financial fraud alert! I stayed at Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Boston from July 24th to 27th, 2022. I paid for my room, got a receipt, and left. I later saw that I was mistakenly charged for two rooms instead of one. I don't know how that happened, but I'm chalking it up to human error (and that's fine). However, when I got in touch with the hotel, they said I was wrong and that they only charged me for one room, and then sent me a receipt for a completely different room number than the one I stayed in! When I emailed them the original receipt I got from their front desk at the time of checkout and my credit card statement showing I was charged for two rooms, they stopped responding to my emails. I have sent multiple reminder emails to both Ms. Sophie Fleming (Assistant Front Office Manager) and Ms. Jessica Haralson to no avail. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the consumer protection office, notifying the Better Business Bureau, opening an investigation with my credit card company, and seeking legal help. What I believed was a human error is now financial fraud since the hotel seems unwilling to resolve it. I am exhausted by their unprofessionalism, particularly that of Ms. Fleming and Ms. Haralson. The cost of my time and energy being spent doing this is not insignificant, but neither is a $1400 unexplained charge for a room I have no idea who stayed in!

Yelp
The experience was great. The service was amazing. They were very nice at the front desk. The minibar was awesome. The room was a little small but the value for the price I paid was excellent. I was able to book in the low hundreds. With parking it brought the total to roughly $160. The one complaint I have and the reason for three stars review was a housekeeping issue. The bed had been made without a bed sheet and we didn't notice until it was past midnight and simply didn't feel like dealing with the awkwardness of having someone come do it. This ended up being kinda uncomfortable as we were sleeping on just the sheet but ohhh well. If the bed had been made correctly I would give 5 stars no problem. I gave this feedback on one of the post-stay survey's they distribute and someone reached out to apologize. They told me to contact them the next time we stay.
