Kimpton Overland Hotel - Atlanta Airport

I absolutely LOVE this hotel!! The staff is phenomenal, hardworking, always pleasant, and genuinely helpful every single day. That kind of energy is rare. Which I greatly appreciated. As a major car lover, staying next to Porsche Headquarters and watching the action at Porsche Experience Center Atlanta is unreal. It literally put me in my happy place. I originally booked just to be close to the airport… but I was so impressed I changed my flight and stayed three extra days. The rooftop views are breathtaking, the hotel is spotless, and the housekeeping team works tirelessly (seeing them active late at night says everything). I also love seeing how they cater to the dogs and is pet friendly. With the hotel being located in Hapeville. It gave a charming small-town vibe. Highly recommend dining at Apron downstairs which is a little pricey, or keeping it classic at Chick-fil-A Dwarf House across the street. This has officially become my home away from home. I will absolutely be back. 🔥

I went for a staycation to finish celebrating my birthday. I was greeted by one of the most exceptional employees ever. Antwan! From the moment I entered he made me feel welcome, and his professional demeanor was notable. I was provided a beautiful room with an incredible view. The room was immaculate and close to the rooftop. Although it was closed due to the season and weather, it was still available for a nighttime view of the planes taking off and landing. I had the perfect view to the Porsche facility nextdoor and the night view of the track and skyline was amazing. Kimpton hotels have been impressive. I recently visited the Epic in Miami which was exceptional. This particular hotel is much smaller and not as fancy, but it is well maintained, quaint, and comfortable for a quiet stay. I totally enjoyed the wine happy hour and sitting in the Living room styled lobby to sip and mingle. I even branched out to try the complimentary bacon wrapped dates. There was another gentleman working alongside Antwan and each time my husband and I came down or passed the desks, he was attentive to ask and make sure we were enjoying our stay. Their attentiveness was remarkable. We definitely appreciated the breakfast the following morning. However, only having one waitress slowed things down a bit. Several items on the menu we desired were unavailable. It was disappointing for a moment, but Chef Burrell made a personal appearance at our table and offered his apologies. He took time to curate a meal that could accommodate my restrictions. I appreciate him going above and beyond to help. Overall, I am once again pleased with our stay. If you are in the area and need a quaint and quiet stay, this is your choice. Kimpton, you are truly blessed to have Antwan as the face of this hotel, for employees like this heightens the desire of patrons to return.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Everything was clean, comfortable, and so well taken care of, but my favorite part was the view. I got to watch planes take off and land all morning, and it was honestly the most calming, beautiful thing. The staff was friendly, the room was spotless, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this hotel to everyone I know. An amazing stay all around!

If you need a luxury hotel near the airport with a free shuttle, this is a good option. However, the rooms and beds are small. The mattress is smaller than the bed frame, so my husband and I scratched our legs few times. We had Sunday breakfast at the on-site restaurant, Apron. The service was poor. There was no silverware at our table, even after asking twice. The food was good, but it arrived after an hour.

Our flight got cancelled and Delta sent us to Kinston. We had a great experience since the first time we got into the hotel. The rooms are very well equiped and super clean . A special shout to our host Makeyla! She took really good care of us and recommended the best places to eat and have some fun! Definitely one of the highlights of our staying!

Outstanding hospitality from start to finish. After a late-night flight, room was not yet ready, but Makayla and the staff handled the situation with exceptional care and professionalism. Makayla went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and even arranged a complimentary meal, which was greatly appreciated. Her attentiveness and the team’s overall service truly made a difference in my stay.

Based on the reviews of this hotel, I expected a lot better. Before booking, I called to see if I could get an early check-in as my flight would be arriving at around 9:30AM. I was told to call a few days before I arrived to set it up. No issue, I booked the room. I called them 2-3 days before arriving, they told me that I would need to call the day of to see if I could check-in early. I called as soon as I picked up my rental car at the airport, and was greeted by a not so pleasant manager. He told me that there is a $75 early check-in fee since normal check-in time is at 12PM. I agreed as I needed to offload luggage, and get ready for a wedding I was attending not too long after that. He put me on hold, picked up a few seconds later and told me they had availability so I made my way over to the hotel. When I arrived I was greeted by the manager, and 2 very nice ladies (forgot to grab their names) that he handed/brushed me off too. I let one of the ladies, and manager know that I was not happy with finding out that I needed to pay $75 to check in early, especially since I called 2 times prior and no one ever mentioned it. The lady apologized and the manager basically gave me a, "it is what it is" type of answer. Before leaving the front desk, they asked if I had a vehicle and made me aware of the $30/day parking charge.. The room was very nice, clean and I had a perfect view of the track. That is where it all ends. I was there from Friday-Monday and my room did not get cleaned 1 time. I saw housekeeping throughout the hallways the 3 days I was there and I still came back to the room not being touched. I had to resort to leaving a bag of trash in the hallway because the trash cans were getting full. I was excited to stay here, and unfortunately the customer service and lack of communication ruined it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding stay from start to finish. Antwione at the front desk was amazing—welcoming, professional, and helpful in every way. The entire staff was exceptional, the room was perfect, and the food and beverage were excellent. Watching the Porsche racing on the track, planes coming into the airport, and an incredible sunset made the experience even better. Everything was A+. Highly recommend!

Perfect short stay. Only thing that bothered me was that there were water rings of a used cup on the table between beds and leaving the hotel for outings the key card would not work, but if you hit help button they open the gate. Other than that the hotel was great and staff were very nice.

I was very excited about staying here especially since it was right across the street from work, Porsche. Unfortunately when I got in on the red eye around midnight they oversold their rooms by about 40 people and we were all left waiting in the lobby. I called The Glenn independently and they saved the day! Yay Marriott!

Reserved a 400+ sq ft king bed room (essentially wanted the tub). Upon a late arrival, was downgraded us to a 200 sq ft king bed with no tub. The keycard didn't work so had to make the exhausted walk back to front to fix the keycard. The room was freezing cold (I'm not going to ever complain about this) ....but there was no blanket. Just a thin bedsheet. No shampoo or conditioner, just body wash. This isn't a motel 6. We are IHG diamond elite members. Kimptons are usually top notch and stunning hotels. Unfortunately they failed us. Initially was suppose to be a week stay but we decided to stay a night and book elsewhere for the remainder of the time.

My friend stayed here this past weekend, and it was an excuse for me to finally see what this establishment had to offer. There are two sides/entrances to the hotel. One is a metered parking lot, and the other side is a drop-off. I entered on that side, which also has the front desk. I walked in and was not greeted. I looked around for the lobby and discovered it was to the left. The layout of the hotel is a bit different. The lobby/lounge area was very cute and modern. Ample seating is provided. There is a work area table with stools as well. Impressive artwork. Chilled water and cups are provided. I think a little further back is the restaurant. I went up to the room. The three elevators are very spacious and quick. The room was at the very end of the hallway. When I entered the room, I was kind of surprised at how dark the room seemed even with the drapes open. The aesthetics of the room give manly. It's not an ounce of femininity at all. That's fine if that is your taste. There was a really nice lounge chair in the room. My favorite part of the room, actually. The beds are on a wood platform and low to the floor. Be careful not to stub your toe repeatedly like my friend did. I can't see someone elderly or handicapped staying here comfortably, though. The room has all of the usual amenities, but the most astonishing thing was the bathroom layout. There is no separate bathroom. There is a wood partition, and behind it is the sink. Next to the sink is a frosted glass door shower and a separate enclosed toilet closet. This room is for a single person or maybe a couple. Not for roommates. There is no bathroom privacy. If I had known that, I wouldn't have suggested this hotel for my friend and her two teenage daughters. The saving grace for this hotel is the rooftop bar and watching the planes land so closely to the hotel. It is definitely a vibe. It made us forget about the layout of the room. Would I come back. Yes, but alone. A nice staycation might be in order.

They market the bed in the room as a double, it is a full. The hotel itself has seen better days. The fact that we found a roach says a lot about the cleanliness factor. The bug, the dirty linen was one thing. Having the staff enter your room with the DND sign hanging in clear view is another. They said they came in to make the bed only for us to find the mattress pad on top of the bed itself and not on the mattress. Of course now everything is suspect. It appeared to us that some of the adult beverage we had in the room had also been drank. We checked out and changed hotels. We were going to let the dirty carpets, mirrors and broken safe slide. Entering the room unauthorized is a red flag. Two days after I checked out, they were placing holds/authorizations on my credit card that no one could explain so I called in a fraud alert to my bank. Beware of this place. Skip them and just book at the Marriott Renaissance! Clean, organized, no bugs, great food and a stellar staff. The shuttle is the nicest thing about the hotel. The food is mediocre. My omelette was fried in oil that was too hot so the edges were crispy. The grits were cold and a lump of gelatinous mess. No butter offered and they automatically add a 18% service charge. If they didn't, you may not tip cause the wait staff was not friendly. Avoid this Kimpton at all costs. It is not like the others. No one could explain the $2800.00 hold on an account that appeared to be "closed" because I had checked out. After check out, almost $3,500 worth of authorizations were ran on my card. Food, gross. Rooms, dirty. Staff, unscrupulous.

Delta provided a night at Kimpton Overland due to me missing my flight. I arrived really exhausted and was happy to be staying at the Kimpton Overland. Things I noticed in my brief stay: -Nespresso vertuo coffee in the rooms -Complimentary bottled water -The shampoo, conditioner etc is Atelier Bloem which is made by by MALIN+GOETZ -Clean, modern room -Bed was comfortable So I can't attest to the other aspects of this hotel but I was very happy during my quick stay.

We stayed for a quick night as we were traveling through Atlanta. It was perfect because we have three large dogs which the hotel accommodates. The service was excellent. Our room was clean and we got a great nights rest. We definitely will be using Kimpton as our go to hotel in the future.

The Kimpton Overland Hotel is a balanced mixed between equally bad customer service & poor cleanliness. I had high hopes for this location due to its proximity to Porsche however I was thoroughly disappointed. A visit to the Kimpton Overland Hotel was about as exiting as a trip to the dentist after you haven't flossed in 5yrs. I would recommend that you floss your way to another hotel in the area that offers more value. Don't waste your money here!

We visited Atalanta for a convention. We wanted to bring our dogs with us. We found this place and gave it a try. This place is a dog friendly hotel. It has an on-site restaurant and bar. The dog walk zone is off to side of main entrance. We really enjoyed our time here. The dog friendly room we had was clean. The room did not have a bad dog smell. They keep the rooms smelling fresh. The check in is small as any other hotel. Same for check out. Luckily for us the location is close to local pizza places and close to our convention. They do offer a military discount.

Beautiful hotel. I came for a conference and loved every minute of the room. Very comfortable and spacious from the two of us. These location is by the airport but I didn't hear anything. If you're a Porsche car fan you love the view.

Had a meeting here today. So this review is solely based off the lobby area which they call the living room. This hotel is really cute, but it was sooooo cold in the lobby/reception area. The Kimpton overlooks the Porshe test track and within close proximity to the airport. I know they have a really nice shuttle that transports guest to and from the airport free of charge. Definitely will return to experience the rooftop bar.

Met friends for Happy Hour at the Rooftop Bar only to find out the rooftop is not open for another 30 days despite the hotel website clearly indicating it is open. We would have never chosen this site had we known that. The website is not only misleading it is just plain not true. In a call today to the hotel, there was no empathy for our situation or any remark to correct the website. I won't be back.

Convenient location, but... caring but under-trained front desk staff, chaotic, disorganized. Very nice people but what i need is efficiency and they don't have it. Room is a fancy motel room -- comfortable bed but the fridge, microwave, and sink are all in ONE room. Price is fine and close to Porsche US HQ so perhaps if you're an employee but otherwise m'eh.

Popped in for a drink with a friend. The drinks were cool , the dessert was good. The hotel is super cute and very close to airport.

Just a note of thanks to the hotel and staff for covering us - we got caught in Atlanta during a horrendous storm a day or two ago- all flight connections were delayed and eventually cancelled. The hotel accommodated us, nice room, clean, fed us (decent room service late) and was very gracious. Thank you for being such good hosts on short notice. (PS You don't need to own a Porsche to stay there, though they obviously work with the Porsche Experience track nearby). Usually "trendy" hotels leave me cold- inexperienced, incompetent and overpriced. This staff was first rate, the facility was nice and we got on our way at 4.30am the next morning without a hitch.

We needed a hotel near the airport so found Kimpton Overland on Hotel Tonight for a deal. And WOW! Had no idea Porsche had a hotel with a race track and a rooftop bar that overlooked the airport. The front desk was helpful and very pleasant. They hand you a complimentary water bottle when you check in. The valet is a steep $25 per night but guess we should have expected this from any Atlanta hotel. The room was 100% with a great view on the seventh floor. There's also a fancy espresso machine in room for you to caffeinate at any time. Wish we had known about the amazing rooftop bar/restaurant beforehand or we would totally have had dinner here. You can sit there for hours just watching airplanes land and take off!

This Hotel was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The views were great. I'd definitely say it's one of my Top 5 hotels in Atlanta area right now.

Just stayed for one night for a layover vs spending the night in the airport. Glad we did as we were well rested in the AM to start another day flying. The hotel was nice and clean as well as the rooms (we booked two seperate rooms for extra folks). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; more specifically the front desk Andrew and Aysa and the shuttle driver, Billy, who provided us a great recommnedation for dinner. Overall very good stay and would do it again.

Sharing a space on the perimeter of the Atlanta airport next to the Porsche Experience Center, this hotel has recently rebadged under the Kimpton umbrella. I'd have preferred if it was under the Marriott "Autograph Collection" brand but Kimpton/IHG picked it up instead. Their shuttle bus at the ATL "zone 1" involved a 40 minute wait, partly because the driver parked in the first space in "zone 2" and I didn't see him until he was leaving. It's a black bus, so it's easy to miss at night. Next time, I'll just Lyft over. Very long wait to check in as there was only one check in clerk at the counter when 7 people poured off the bus. 20 minutes of standing was annoying, especially as two other clerks arrived just as I got to the front of the queue, which is my poor luck. I have no status with the IHG chain, so my studio on the second floor was pretty standard. Clean, comfortable and I had a view of the Porsche center and the end of the ATL runway. The bed was firm, the work desk had plentiful power outlets and the shower was great. Large closet with a room safe that easily secured my laptop as I went out all day Saturday. Pluses: . I enjoyed the view. . Clean and comfortable room with a roomy shower that had lots of pressure. . Lots of good towels. . Curtain blocked all the light from the rising Sun in the morning. . Absolutely no noise from the runway. . Walking distance to the Chick-Fil-A Dwarf House and some other fast food. . Free wifi. Other than the long wait, here were the other problems: . There was no creamer with the Nespresso machine, either Friday night when I checked in or Saturday night after the room was serviced. . Several slamming doors in the morning, one was hard enough that it made my coffee cup shake. . Housekeeping staff in the hallway and noise from the children in the next room. . Beers at their bar were expensive at $8 each. . Wifi was slow. It would have been nice if the rooftop bar was open Sunday morning as the weather had cleared up, but they are closed "for the season." I am not sure if I would stay here again. The Renaissance is a nicer property but doesn't have the uniqueness of this one. [Review 10572 overall, 340 of 2019.]

So far not the best experience . Husband is hosting his office party here for his staff and their significant others . We booked a suite with an arrangement made for an early check in due to it still being a work day. We arrived at 2:30 and there was no such accommodation. The kicker is, it is now 4:30 and all of the staff that flew in earlier with us have their rooms , while we are still waiting for our suite. We were told we could have a drink at the bar and they would give us a $30 voucher Apparently they were full last night and clean the smaller rooms first . Not impressed with the Hotel one but . The staff are really nice, but the $30 voucher is kind of a slap in the face when we are paying for a lot of people to drive here . I may change my view in this later, but you will have to wait and see .

We arrived near midnight on a Sunday. As we walked in and approached the foyer area, I walked towards the counter and before reaching, the woman (no name tag or introducing herself) barked that I needed to wait while they change shifts. I stopped in my tracks, a bit surprised at her attitude, and my 60+ year old mother said she was going to go sit down. No welcome greeting or even a hello from the attendant. I stood in the same spot, and was rudely told to get out my credit card and ID. I did, placed them on the counter, and stood there waiting. Eventually she grabbed my ID, not saying a word. I stood for an additional 5 minutes, approaching 10 mins in total, without any communication from the front desk attendant. She then told me to wait in the "living room" because the system wasn't working. I joined my mother and waited another 5 minutes, the attendant eventually walked over with my card, ID, and room keys. She said there was water and coffee in our room. She never told me she charged my card nor the amount. Once in our room, we noticed drinking glasses missing, toiletries missing, no water or coffee, pin needles on floor, & glass nightstand was shattered. I left to get water as my mother called the front desk about the broken glass. I went back to lobby to ask where water or a vending machine was located and was simply handed two waters. Again, no communication from the nameless attendant. I went to my room for the ice bin. Unable to locate an ice machine, I returned to the lobby. She told me to go to the 7th floor & said the ice machine as located in a room labeled "Heart of House." When I got there, it was a dirty utility room to an elevator. We were told we'd be switched to a new room & keys were being delivered, 10 minutes later still no keys. We decided to leave after 15 minutes, she laughed as we said we were checking out with a sarcastic "ok." When I said the room was dirty, the response was the same, a sarcastic "ok." I've always hesitated to stay with Kimpton hotels; there are many available for business travel options here in DC, but after this experience, I will continue to avoid them. I've reached out to the corporate office as this establishment had not responded for several days. Our dirty room was $177 with a promotional rate, and we found a three star hotel nearby to relocate to. From the moment we got to the valet, the atmosphere was far more welcoming and courteous. Complimentary refreshments, a valet assisted without bags at 1 am, and the front desk attendant provided menus for delivery options after overhearing our discussion about food. The Double Tree hotel saved the night with unsolicited and genuine customer service...and a very comfortable bed!

NEVER NEVER NEVER STAY HERE unless you want to get ripped off. Car broke down over 24 hours prior to our stay and they are still charging me and penalizing me. Hotel policies should take you elsewhere and watch out for all of their hidden charges! I will never stay at another one of their hotels and I'll make sure my employees don't either. Good job corporate! You got your one night free from me, too bad you just lost over 20 full bookings per year

This hotel is very close to the airport and Porsche drive experience in Atlanta. My room was not adequately cleaned as there was hair on my towels, the bathroom floor was sticky, and the mini refrigerator has the last guest's leftovers inside. The parking situation is sketchy. There was a $30 nightly rate for parking. At the front desk I was informed that sometimes the gates doesn't work so I will need to call the desk to be let in. Fortunately my key card allowed me entrance into the lot without issue. In the parking lot there was at least 3 vehicles that had the windows busted out. After reluctantly parking I altered the reception staff to my findings. The reception staff responded with a shoulder shrug and said "I know". I also had the spinach salad and added salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly but had absolutely no seasoning. The salad was fresh and crisp and the strawberries sweet. The old fashion was decent.

Awful experience - someone charged almost $50 worth of food/drink to my room without my knowledge, and the only reason I found out was because I checked my credit card statement after I got home (it wasn't even listed on the printed statement I got at checkout). I've been trying to get a hold of someone at the hotel who can refund me, but the staff has been giving me the runaround. The only decent help I got was from a front desk worker named Tia, but I'm still playing phone tag with someone on their accounting team to get this fixed - it shouldn't take days for this to get addressed given the fraudulent/criminal nature of what happened. It would take 5 min for them to check the security footage to confirm that I was not in the restaurant at the time this fraudulent order was placed (and to identify whoever did this). The lack of governance they have in place to prevent something like this from happening is disturbing - if you stay here, you're opening yourself up to financial liability. If you appreciate not getting robbed, then this isn't the hotel for you. Funny enough, since I was staying for a business trip, I was considering the potential of hosting a company function (100+ people) at this hotel given the proximity to the Porsche Experience Center. After this experience, I'm definitely going to be taking our business elsewhere. Bottom Line: the convenience of being close to the Porsche Experience Center is NOT worth the hassle/violation of getting stolen from, especially when there's been zero sense-of-urgency from the staff to resolve this.

Nice and clean, had to book this hotel last minute due to cancelled flight and staff assisted us with our needs. Our bags were caught in the chaos and did not have essentials and the front desk staff happily assisted us with all our needs and the shuttle to the airport was easy to access.

My husband and I stayed at the Kimpton Atlanta hotel because he booked a class on driving a Porsche GT3 at the Porsche track that was across the parking lot. The hotel room was large, modern, clean and the bed was very comfortable. They accept pets without an extra fee and it was very quiet. I highly recommend it, it's not expensive for the quality it offers and the people who work there are very friendly and professional.

Front desk lady had an attitude. First room had a big fan on the floor and smelled like mold. Second room has stains on wall and pink stains in shower. I just took a pic of shower because I was done.

We found this place on www.bringfido.com. We have two standard poodles. The loft, at the hotel, was an amazing place to enjoy food and drink while watching planes land at the airport. We have marked this as a destination and will return.

My husband was put up here for several weeks for work in January/February, and I spent several nights here myself when I went to visit him during that time. I was nervous because of some of the nightmare reviews on here, but it was better than I expected and I was mostly satisfied with our stay here. PROS: -It's very close to the airport, which was super convenient for us. -Clean, modern feel. -Comfortable bed. -Front desk attendant was able to help me print something out since there's no business center (see cons list below). -Bar downstairs if you need food/drink and don't want to leave the building. -Small gym and indoor pool, better than nothing. -Fridge and microwave in room. CONS: -No separate bathroom, just a half-wall separating the sink/shower area from the bedroom. Not a problem for us, but I imagine would be quite weird if you're not super close with the person you're sharing a room with. Also made for excess moisture in room. -Cleaning crew didn't always replenish items such as Q-tips, lotion, etc. -Not a great parking situation if you have a car with you. There was a gate you had to buzz in to be let through and I'm not sure if there is a cost associated with it as well. It was free for my husband's crew, but I believe they normally charge guests. -Limited room service. -No business center for printing, etc. (front desk attendant was kind enough to print something out for me) Overall, it was a fine stay. There are far worse places he could have been put up for 3 weeks. That said, I don't think I'd choose to stay here myself unless there was a need to be close to the airport. It was a bit of a drive to get into downtown ATL and traffic was not fun. I also can't speak to the value, since we didn't pay for the room ourselves this trip.

Had a recent stay there and the place was very disorganized. The check-in process was very slow. Asked multiple people about the breakfast hours and each one gave a different answer. Breakfast was expensive and extremely slow. When they finally sat our group, we asked if they could serve us in a timely manner. The waitress assured us it would be no problem, but it took forever! When the food finally arrived, We had 10 minutes to eat and pay before leaving for our meetings. The views from the rooftop bar are amazing. This Hotel is nice, but has personnel challenges. I would give them the doubt given current labor issues. Hopefully they can get things worked out.

The Kimpton on the outside is a very impressive hotel. When you walk into the lobby you're still very impressed; with the seating, decor, and artwork. We had a very late check in to catch a flight the next morning. The staff was very helpful and kind to us. After checking us in, they offered us water and told us the shuttle times. All of it initially was quite impressive and great. Then we got to our room. I'm not sure who designed the rooms of this hotel, but it's too modern and maybe too Eurocentric in the design. Upon entering the room you can see they economize every bit of space, which is great. However, there is no wall or privacy that separates the bathroom from the main part of the room. Except, a small divider that has artistic cutouts on it, so it's providing almost no real privacy between the shower and beds. If you're a couple the room wouldn't be a problem at all. But as family members, we both wanted a bit more privacy. If they added an extra part that slid out to be a more thorough divider it would be much better. There were also som light cleanliness issues. I also didn't like the large bottles of body wash, conditioner, and shampoo in the bathroom. It's too easy for anyone to meddle with them before new guest come. I'm sure it might help cut down cost. But it's kind of gross when you think how many people come through hotels. It seems like something an Airbnb would do, not a hotel. I don't think I'd stay here again unless I was with my husband. But not with my sisters or mom. The staff and the fact the room had a microwave saved them or I would give this hotel lower stars.

This hotel is very overpriced. My SO and I went to an event in the lobby of the hotel and I didn't feel like driving home to North Ga so I got a room for $212, no reservation or anything. The outside of the hotel exudes a classy vibe and so does the lobby but the rooms itself were VERY underwhelming especially for the price point. The room gives the illusion of class but honestly it isn't. It's a crammed space where there is literally no separation between the bathroom and bedroom which is gross IMO. The TVs are small as hell and poisoned very oddly in the room and so is the mini fridge, I did like that it can fit multiple bottles of wine though. I believe the pool and most other amenities weren't available due to Covid but hardly anyone wore a mask that worked there so that's interesting. The rooftop is beautiful and was open for our event only I assume. This is definitely the highlight of this hotel. The employees also weren't very friendly to be in hospitality - front desk, etc. There's a parking lot which you must pay to enter unless you are a guest or attending an event. The neighborhood is in what feels like a sketchy location although it is located on Porsche street next to a Porsche lot.

For the amount of money we spent, I would've expected a cleaner room with more amenities ... and by amenities I mean trash bags and more than 2 wash cloths. The location is GREAT, but overall don't waste your money on a hotel that barely looked like they wiped down anything in the room. The shower was nasty, the bathroom stunk, and there was hair in more places in the room that I care to acknowledge. Also important to note, that the beds felt like cinder blocks with bricks for pillows. Again, don't waste your money.

A male housekeeping staff entered my room without permission while I was undressing. Considering this was a security issue and definitely a poor customer service experience, the response from the front desk was underwhelming. Insincere and frustrated apologies; no concessions made- except to shuttle me down the hall to another room or check me out. Dear management- bad customer service bankrupts businesses. Advanced Customer service training should be mandated immediately. I have been an avid fan of the Kimpton brand until now. I am reconsidering this commitment. I will never stay here again.

Let's start with this is NOT a Porsche hotel, although it does have a Porsche store and some decor. We where picking up our new Porsche, planning to spend all of our time doing the Porsche Experience, seemed convenient to stay here. We where so wrong, please take your money elsewhere. The area is horrible and very dangerous, Hapeville is not a place you want to be during the day and even Uber drivers won't help you get around at night. Pulling up there was no bellman to be seen, I walked in and asked the girl at the desk she rolled her eyes and before answering my hubby walked up with our bags. We had booked their Porsche track view suite, there where zero pleasantries with this associate. I stated what room we booked she didn't even respond, handed us the keys cards and pointed to the elevators. The associate didn't wear a name tag, unfortunately. We entered the room only to find it a handicapped room with no track view to speak of, walked down and the manager corrected the issue meanwhile the associate who booked us just gave me a dirty look and ignored it. The room was alright, the living room sofa was from a doll house, very tiny facing the tv which was maybe two feet away. The bedroom was spacious and the headboard had rims engraved into it, hubby loved this detail. There was a single bottle of water in the room, called for a pitcher of water but they said it would be charge and they were out of bottles anyway. This was upsetting because there are no convenance stores nearby and its not the safest place to go for a stroll. There is one "Mediterranean" restaurant in the hotel, this is the only dining serves as room service, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are no vending machines or any other options. They offer free coffee in the mornings but when I arrived they charged for the coffee. The only reason I give this hotel a two star review is due to the fact that my hubby left his necklace behind and house keeping was honest enough to turn it in, we called later in the day and payed for them to over night it to us.

We had a brief, unplanned stay at this new addition to the Kimpton family. When our flight was diverted to Tallahassee (for more gas), we ended up missing the last flight back to Minneapolis. While searching for an airport hotel I was excited to see a Kimpton with a free airport shuttle right on the edge of the sprawling airport. As we arrive just before midnight, our room perhaps wasn't indicative of the typical, as we had to settle for a weird ADA room with two beds instead of our usual king, but it's always great to stay in a new hotel. Over the past few months we've enjoyed great Kimptons in Palm Springs, Portland and New York. Unlike some of the sister hotels, the overland is a little light on the style component we've come to expect. Perhaps it's still a work in progress, but the rooms are a tad more generic hotel room than the others. Adjacent to the new Porsche experience, the hotel is a handy spot for those wanting to try speeding around the race track. They've got a nice on-site restaurant and bar and we enjoyed a tasty breakfast before our flight. There's also a free shuttle service to/from the airport that leaves the hotel in the hour and half hour 24/7 which is nice. It's located on the far corner of the sprawling airport so they have to drive almost the entire circumference to get to the terminal.

I recently had one of my best friend come to town and because we didn't want to "hit the town" in a pandemic, we decided it would be nice to stay here a night for a "staycation". The company of my best friends made it amazing, but it seems the hotel is using covid as an excuse to do less and have less hospitality. For starters, at no time during the reservation process was it ever stated that the indoor pool was closed due to covid. That feature was one of the reasons we booked there. Now I totally understand social distancing, but if the hotel did more to insure that only a certain amount of guest were in the pool at one time and maybe even implemented time limits, I think the chlorinated pool could be made safe. Secondly, there was no valet working because of covid (another detail that was not stated during booking or on the website). If guest have on mask and valet too, how is covid an excuse for lack of using a valet when neither party is in the vehicle at the same time? Third example, the bar and restaurant close at 10pm and unfortunately so does room service. What on earth does the time room service stops have to do with covid? I understand the restaurant closes at 10pm but maybe a smaller menu could be offered for room service until at least midnight? Last example, we were told that a cart for our luggage and assistance couldn't be brought up and was self serve because...you guessed it...covid. So it seems that covid is being used as an excuse for the hotel to do and provide little to nothing. The rooms were clean, there are full sized toiletries in the rooms and the rates were good. The free airport shuttle was a great feature that made it easy to get my bestie safely back to the airport. Other than that, I would not recommend booking here until the pandemic is over and staff and management have decided to operate the hotel with better hospitality and more amenities.

Tried to get a nice luxury experience for the family on our last night before flying back from our trip. This place is boring and nothing special and not nearly as well positioned to the airport as I had hoped for. All that aside, the reason I'm writing a review is that this hotel failed on a shuttle and left me waiting for over an hour. I had talked to someone at the front desk before taking my rental car back, called again when I returned the car and was waiting, called again after another 40 minutes. Then I got a bunch of conflicting stories from the driver and the front desk about how people didn't know the driver wasn't available and the driver saying they knew I wasn't available. Anyways, if you want a nice hotel and convenient to the airport, keep looking. Don't waste your time with this place.

For a airport hotel this was a nice and comfortable place to stay. The front desk wasn't the most warm or welcoming but the convenance of the airport shuttle and rooftop bar made up for that. The rooftop bar is a great experience in the evening.. watching the planes land was a very cool view. The cocktails were fantastic as well. The only thing I would recommend is for the staff to be more accommodating to their guests. The hotel itself is great.

Clean and great service. Can look past the fact that it's right next to the Ferrari track which is wonderful. Every time it looks like I'm going to ATL, I always look for a room here! Don't waste your time. Book now!

I stayed at this hotel last evening after a nice experience the last time. I've recommended this property to others and was very disappointed with my stay this time. I woke in the morning and found that there was no hot water to shower so I called the front desk. They stated that they could move me to another room, but never did. I was forced to call a friend locally to use their shower to get ready for a business event that morning. I was very disappointed with my experience and will not stay here again.

This is by far, one of Atlanta's best kept secrets !!! You really don't know how much your missing out till you stay here !!! Tell them Martin sent you !!!

Arrived late at night- front desk women were not very friendly when I arrived. I arrived via taxi because the shuttle that I was told was coming wasn't. They said the previous shift told me wrong. Not what I really wanted to hear when I spent an extra hour in the cold waiting for the shuttle. Not really impressed with the hotel rooms. I've stayed in better for the price. Didn't have standard hotel appliances. Im not sure if I would select this hotel next time. Hotel choice was last minute as I arrived in Atlanta a day early before my apartment was available.

Great view and vibe. Left when DJ started due to volume level. Suddenly couldn't hear the person next to me. Too bad, we were 4 ppl and would've had several rounds n food. WAY to loud. This is supposed to be a casual scenic lounge ,not a night club.

"Is you sure this is a Kimpton?" I asked to myself by the end of my stay. Kimpton, known to be a great line of boutique hotels, but be warned this one fails miserably to live up to the name. They should try to at least find staff with some common sense and all would be well. And yes, it's called the "hospitality" industry: Personalities Matter. Some of these fools can go choke on a dick. So I had a busted A/V unit roaring like a motherfucker, kept me up all night. Got a "sorry ma'am" with a huge passive aggressive attitude you know what I'm saying? These fucking idiots clearly do not know what it means to be in 24/7 chronic pain. They moved me to a corner room at the end of the hall on a different floor, despite making the whole wide world know "MAJOR chronic pain, MAJOR back problems". Hello??? Anyone there???? Knock knock durrerrrrrrr? Shit room service food. Mediocre cooking (oily cold soup anyone) and a bland and limited menu - is you sure you's a 3-star hotel doe?? Not worth the buckeroos. And be warned that this place is basically in the bumfuck middle of nowhere. Like who really gives a fuck about the Porsche Experience oooooooo *waves hands* besides dudes who play golf, you know what I'm sayin? Corny AF advertisement (do the FUK betta, Kimpton). Ugh, who the hell stays near the airport anyway?? Me. I do. I did. Fuck this place.

I blindly chose this based on the need to stay in ATL on night and be close to the airport for the morning. The reviews made this place sound like luxury which is absolutely wrong. The place tries but it is t a resort or a fine hotel. The rooms were fine, actually no complaints. The restaurant had a limited menu but was well prepared and tailored to our needs. The desk staff had a bit of improvement needed. Hustle it up a bit - there are several of you working! And be more professional (cop less attitude). But the absolute worst part of this place is truly the location. Not the Porsche test track - everything else around this place is lackluster. There are three liquor stores within 1/8 mile. I really wouldn't stay here again.

Excellent service at check-in. Fast and friendly service, they offered me a bottle of water and were very pleasant despite the late hour of my arrival. The room was clean, but a little dusty (I notice these things). I do not like the "open bathroom design". You have to be comfortable with the people you're traveling with because the half wall dividing the beds from the shower closet is slatted. I'm not sure what the point of this design is as it can't possibly have been to save money because instead of one door they had to install 2: one for the shower and one for the toilet and the sink is just sitting out in the open. Beds are comfy and linen is clean. I would give the room a B- but service an A.
