Kim's Teahouse

All the store workers are terrible and unforgiving. Today I ordered takeout, and was given a very low quality service and food, instead. I knew they will pick on me, because the food smells nasty and tasted so old, I just threw them away in my trash. I realized that I wasn't able to push the "TIP" button on the cash register, that is the reason why this all my wasted money and time. will never recommend this place. NEVER! They will gang up on you!

FIRST TIME HERE AT THIS LOCATION EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN IN THE EATING AREA. BEAUTIFUL FISH TANK. THE POPCORN CHICKEN WAS GREAT! I TRIED THE BANANA/ HONEYDEW MELON w/ TAPIOCA IT WAS AMAZING AND THERE PRICES ARE CHEAPER THAN ANYONE ELSE. DEFINITELY WILL DRIVE OUT AGAIN.

I was hesitant to try this place because of other bad reviews. But i tried it anyways and my friend and i actually were very satisfied with our drinks. We didn’t wait long to order and the girl checking us out was friendly and patient. I have been craving my drink again a week later lol!

Came here off a whim, drinks were good and well priced. Don't be thrown off by the door and dark windows.

I love the jasmine milk tea, it has to be their #1 drink, the popcorn chicken and squid ball is my favorite combo too. I've known the owner since the opening, and come here or ubereats it home every week for years.

I ordered a green tea with bobba and as soon as I had a sip of it I puked it . It does not taste like green tea and it even has a smell a strong stink smell this is the first time I’ve experienced something like this . I put it in a cup afterwards to see what’s wrong with the drink really disappointed this is my last time ordering something from the store

Got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea here all the time. They're truly good. I sometimes get the Peppermint black tea w/ aloe vera too.

Highly recommend this spot! I recommend the Thai tea at this location as it has a subtle sweetness without being too overpowering. The boba is always good a this location; however, keep in mind that the boba tends to get hard in smoothies only if you let it sit out. ( cantaloupe smoothie & mango are incredible ) The calamari is so so good here! There's non-spicy and different levels of spice for the calamari (medium is my go-to) I've never been inside the store, but the drive-thru is a nice addition for an easy spot to order and go! The workers are caring and don't feel the need to rush your order.

Terrible service. Terrible food Not sure if they got new management or what.. First I get the wrong order I walked to my car when I realized I had the wrong drinks then I saw the girl that handed to be telling me she gave me the wrong order Then I had ordered and payed for extra to add extra bail on my popcorn chicken and they didn't add it My drink was terrible didn't taste like the previous one l've had. When I told them it didn't taste the same they gave me an attitude and said it didn't have avocado.. I drove I turned around so they could add the extras and they didn't do it again. The girl just placed the bag there and didn't say anything Spent 60$ for no reason girl with glasses bagging the drinks And food should double check before giving it out

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get my bubble tea fixed. There was a decently long line, but it moved very quickly. There are a ton of smoothie, tea, and juice options. I opted for the avocado smoothie with crystal boba. It was so so good and I highly recommend with less sugar! The only downside is we found cardboard in the bottom of our tea.

Stopped by here while visiting some friends. Loved it! Quaint, cute, clean environment. Ample staff who are friendly, fast and efficient. I ordered their honey dew tea with rainbow jelly, my nephew ordered their blueberry w/ice cream smoothie w/tapioca and popcorn chicken. 10/10 across the board! Will return!

Honestly the mixed fruit tea here is hands down my most ordered item here. It is a bit sour and bitter with a good amount of fresh fruit. I always wish that it had more oranges in it. The service is quick and the menu is pretty large. I'm sure that you can find something for everyone. It looks sketchy on the outside, but had a warm cute inside. Super cute decorations and good for photos. All in all it's a solid place. It isn't as good as long coffee on Bellaire, but good for a chain. I'd definitely recommend it if you want a cute place to drink milk tea and catch up.

This is hands down the best spot to get milk tea/boba in Houston. Yes they have multiple locations but all are on same page. I know the family that runs this business personally and I can still say it's not bias. I'm sad banh mi sandwiches are no longer offered. Their popcorn chicken also cannot be mimicked. Anytime I have a chance to grab a drink from Kim's, I do it without thinking twice. Loyal customer from day one.

My kids love this place and it's a cool hangout that's safe and friendly to all. Lots of Options and I even like getting drinks here, I'm just too old it's a little too teenagery for me, but I love it's existence.

My sister ordered the fried calamari. It smelled like cinnamon but she tried one anyway & it indeed had cinnamon. We went inside with nice faces & calm attitudes and she basically explained that it smells & tastes like cinnamon & she doesn't like it. Instead of asking if she wanted a replacement or refund she asked her if she "ever had calamari before" and proceeded to try to sho her off by saying "have a good day" & "we don't have cinnamon " but cmon man cinnamon is the only thing that tastes like well CINNAMON !!! Not only could you smell & taste it you could see it! ( wish we took a picture now :( ) She asked what she ordered & my sister told her & saw her click on her order on the screen ( because we both have accounts with them and she saw her name) & the lady proceeds to act like she "couldn't find her order" mind you we never left the parking lot just walked out the store. We literally had to say "can I just get a refund" while also being looked at by other customers and workers like we did something wrong for wanting a refund or replacement. Again we were not disrespectful when we came back in. DO NOT GO HERE, they don't deserve your money or your BUSINESS.

Great Boba drinks, love the calamari. The wait time is long, service is good. We go here often for drinks

I've been coming here for Years but unfortunately I came in today at 12 and the lady at the front had a attitude and was trying to rush me to order which led to me deciding to walk out hopefully they work on their customer service and get it back to the way it used to be.

My kids favorite place. Not just for drinks but their food is surprisingly good as well!

The worse passion fruit i have ever bought. I asked for a slurpee and got a cup full of syrup! since I asked for extra boba my drink looked like diarrhea. At least I got the extra boba. I tried to take my loss and still drink it but it's literally just nothing but syrup. its Gross. I ordered two drinks the other one was OKAY

was glad they offered the bursting boba! substantial tea but ingredients could be improved a bit. staff were really quick too.

Kim's Tea house has the best boba and frozen fruit juices of alllllll time. If you are in a hurry and can spare 5-10 minutes for some delicious boba.... DO IT! The environment is perfect for studying, a date night with your person, or even if you just want to relax and enjoy your boba inside its perfect. They have TV's playing shows all day, as well as a fish tank with some beautiful fish. The workers are sweet and welcoming, I highly recommend!!

Their frozen mocha, strawberry, and strawberry green tea are the only decent drinks. The frozen matcha smoothie costs 4.5$ and it's extremely bland, they basically blended milk and ice. No flavor, tasteless. Also.. what is with the portion...? No editing was made, full ice and full sugar yet its still not filled. They charge like premium and the drinks have gotten worse every year.

Everything that I have tried is delicious! Her tapioca is the best! There is a perfect texture and amount of sugar in it. Some people can buy a venti starbucks for $5, when i prefer Kim's Teahouse. After all of the things that I have tried, I always come back to the French Vanilla or Hazelnut Cappuccino with Tapioca and coffee jelly. Other drinks that are tasty: Matcha Green Tea Cream Blend with DOUBLE Tapioca Strawberry and Mango Smoothie with Tapioca and Strawberry Jelly Pina Colada with Tapioca

I love this place I typically go for a quick lunch break tea and hot wings... Wings could be a little more spicy imo

They were so rude. Definitely need an attitude check. I went yesterday (11/18) with my mom. They were careless, didn't want to be there, worst attitude and service.

I have been to this location one other time and I visited today because I happened to be in this part of town. With no people in the store besides myself, one would think that customer service would be no problem. I made specific requests about how I would like my tea (no ice, b/c I was traveling 20 miles back to my house) in it was done opposite of my request because "that's the way it's done here". I have a problem with that. The prices are great in terms of what you receive, however, you should listen to your customer when it comes to their likes and dislikes. If I order a pizza and tell them that I don't want pepperoni and I get pepperoni because "that's the way it's done", I have issue with that, period. Just just my 2 cents as a paying customer. Please, do better. Also, you can head off some of your issues if you ask your customer the way they would like their purchased items to turn out (ex. sweetness), rather than making those decisions for them.

For the first time I went, I ended up at the back of the building and I would think it is closed. Finally, I decided to go to the door and read, and it says front door is on the other side haha. And yes, the front of the store is more inviting. Great to have this location nearby! Love- Love- Love the spicy basil popcorn chicken! It's super yummylicious and piping hot when you first get it. With the spiciness, it's such an awesome flavor combination. Also love the coffee ice cream float smoothie with bubble tea. My go-to things when I come! Service is fast. Store also nice and clean. Parking is plentiful.

A good boba place for whatever you're craving because the menu is huge and all the drinks are customizable. They're always consistent and prices are great!

The amount of drink in my cup is unacceptable. The cup is sealed. I don't know what happened but whoever made this drink should check it before gave it to customer.

I have been here before, I recently went to get some tapioca and some calamari. They have increased the prices of the calamari they now charge $6. Which I understand prices go up, I purchased two calamari's and when I asked for some lemon for the calamari she informed me that it was .54 for some lemon I'm Sure it wasn't going to be a whole lemon given to me! I told her never mind. I decided to complain about the extra charge for a pice of lemon for the $12 calamari that I spend on. They just informed me their prices went up and they have it posted in their location, and they simply told me they have signs, and they charge for the lemon. I informed her they will loose customers for charging on a piece of lemon and she said OK and she didn't even care! I will not return to Kim's again!

Popcorn chicken and calamari - spicy level. Sea foam oolong with coffee jelly. So delicious, so worth. 8/10, would come again and recommend to a friend.

Feel like this spot is the OG of tapioca, or boba, whatever you want to call it. Never disappoints and usually doesn't take long. Didn't used to like tapioca, but idk what about this place changed my tastebuds' mind

Back in high school, my friends and I hung out here all the time because it was the only place in the area that sells bubble teas and smoothies. There were drinks that fits everyone's taste whether they like boba or not. I haven't been back since high school now that I work near Chinatown and they have sooo many options. But the other day, I picked up Kim's Teahouse on the way home and remembered why I love it so much. Their new cups are really sleek and bright. They're the slimmer, taller cups that aren't really sold that often. I got a Jasmine Milk Tea with baby boba for my sister, a Honey Green Tea half sweet for myself, and an order of fries. The total came out to be around $9. Which wasn't bad at all! The drinks are really good! Definitely satisfying after a long day at work. The sweetness level is perfect here, unlike some tea houses where it's off the roof. I'd definitely be back again soon! Whether you like smoothies, milk teas, flavored teas, or just want a snack, this place is great. Their popcorn chicken is a MUST TRY! Plus their interior is cute and trendy, great for hanging out.

Sister told me to come here and from the outside it looks pitch black, dark and not open. As you open the door, the store is alive and packed. Service is tremendously fast, and they listen to what you want. Store is nicely designed and not crowded. Easy to read menus and pictures for every drink! Nice music playing in the background, a fish tank to relax to or a tv to watch whatever's on.

This place has a unique kind of tea called cream teas instead of milk teas. There is a difference. The cream teas actually taste creamy and rich so this place definitely built a niche. I got the almond cream tea and was appropriately sweetened to my liking. Definitely one of the richer almond teas I've had in my life.

Convenient location next to H‑E‑B, excellent boba drinks and snack menu. No more sandwiches though but I still go after grocery shopping.

Trash ass place wanna charge .50 for sauce they used to give out for free. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Go to a real tapioca shop.

fantastic tea place! if I didn't live so far I'd be making trips on the daily here. I ALWAYS come when I'm in westchase!! interior is huge + they have complimentary wifi!! great study spot, every time I'm here the noise level is pretty low and they have charging ports just about everywhere. I got the sea salt foam thai green tea (5/5) - sweetness level was perfect, boba was smaller than your average tea house's, the mixing of the foam and tea was super cool, and the cup feels really sturdy. I also got the chicken teriyaki banh mi (5/5) - bread was toasted perfectly, sandwich wasn't flat like some places make it, and overall I loved it. tldr - 5/5! this place is so cute and u should definitely come here given the chance.

I was at Kim's earlier, food was very good. What caught my attention was that I noticed one of the older employees smacking another employee's (who looked like she was in training) hand. I think that was unacceptable and something that should get fixed.

Went to Kim's Teahouse today and got the usual Strawberry Banana smoothie with tapioca. I obviously enjoyed the drink that I drank majority of it but towards the end of it I realized there was a whole spoon in my drink! I really don't know how to react but I hope this doesn't happen to somebody else. I'm just in disbelief, astounded, and disgusted on how this could happen and what I just drank... not knowing if gloves were even used or where the spoon has been. Please be more careful on serving drinks.......... this really shouldn't happen...... update: got a free drink but please don't let this happen again!

This teahouse isn't your normal teahouse in terms of appearance, with its nearly all red interior. I've heard that the color red makes you feel hungry so maybe this was what the owner of this place was going for? My friend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty packed. I ordered a strawberry and banana smoothie with no milk and tapioca. They charged me an extra dollar because I didn't get milk (what?) because they would have to add more fruit (okay, I get it). My drink total came out to $5.50 which was way more than I wanted to spend on a non-alcoholic drink. Since Kim's Teahouse is one of the only teahouses in the area, it didn't surprised me that the prices were hiked up so high. One of the cool things about Kim's Teahouse is that they have more than just drinks - they sell food too. They have banh mi and popcorn chicken, and a few other small snack items. So if you've got a craving for tapioca and a few snacks to go with it, it's not a bad place to go if you don't want to drive to Chinatown.

Kim's tea house doesn't look like much when you walk by, but going in is one of the best decisions you'd make... I only ever get boba tea from there and it's great, prices are great!!!

This is your average Kim's Teahouse, but it always seems to be very busy. Maybe to the being located at a major crossroad in the city. I usually order the Watermelon juice or regular milk tea here. Their milk tea isn't my favorite, but I'll still order it occasionally. The watermelon juice should be called a slushy instead. It's a blended drink with a little ice mixed in. It's still pretty good for $3.75, but just drink it slow to avoid brain freeze and it turns into a watermelon juice like you would get at other teahouses. There are many tables for sitting a talking, games and tvs. Even when they don't look busy, your drink order will sometimes time 10 mins or more to make due to to-go orders.

I really like the drinks here & other Kim's locations. Last night I stopped by for a Thai Green Tea half sweetened- the tea is always good and refreshing- no complaints. I had never had any snacks from here , but saw lots of people snacking when I walked in- so I decided, why not? I ordered a shredded chicken bahn mi & I added a fried egg to the sandwich and it, and I really liked it! I didn't stay, I actually ordered from Yelp for take out, so I was just in and out. But the inner decor of this location is a bit dated imo, but whatever I'm here for the drinks & the snacks!

I came here because it was nearby HEB and I was around the area. Unfortunately, this did not satisfy my craving. I ordered a small snack after going and the calamari was extremely chewy with a taste of powder. The flavors were not good and I asked for the spice level to be medium. There was no sauce with it and it wasnt worth it.

Came in tonight to try their bahn mi and for someone who's tried heir fair share of bahn mi's, this definitely has be the worst one yet. The meat was dry, the carrots weren't bland and the bread was hard with butter just slapped on it, a super sad bahn mi. To accompany my meal I got a fruit tea to drink and i was not a fan. The drink tasted like melted candy and/or a sweetened type of medicine. The drink and bahn mi were $5 each and for $10 you can get a better meal else where. Hong Kong city mall has phenomenal choices for bahn mi's that are $3 and places like kravins have an amazing fruit tea drink for less than $5. Save your money, there's better options out there!

I've been coming here for years. I come for the Smoothies and the Spicy Popcorn Chicken. The portions have become smaller and they are now charging .60 for Tapioca. It seems that everytime I go in there now I always have an issue. I'm venturing out now due to these issues because there are way too many places in China town to get smoothies and good Popcorn Chicken. I love Boba Zone as far as the Smoothies go and I frequently go there. I will try out Magic Cup and Twinkle. Review coming soon!

Honestly my favorite tea/smoothie shop! I am a regular and loyal customer here. I usually order the pina colada smoothie without the boba and they get it right every time! They're food and cookie are amazing too! I love this place so much that I've introduced it to every friend and family member I know

Consistent & great over the years! Kim's has been the one tapioca place I been going since forever and their drinks are great. I have yet to try the whole menu but my favorite is the sea foam jasmine.

If you're looking for a tapioca spot with good food as well, Kim's Teahouse is a great option ! I know they have a few different locations; here, inside the HK mall, Westheimer, and the new one on highway 6. They have an assortment of foods, perfect to snack on if you're studying or if you need a quick bite. There's banh mi, fries, calamari, cookies, banana chips, and my favorite.. the chicken nuggets !! Kim's chicken nuggets are in my top favorite nuggets from tapioca places. You can adjust how spicy you want them and they always come out super hot/fresh and crunchy. The drinks are pretty standard as well. Nothing over the top or special to say about them. I've had their avocado smoothie, Thai tea, milk tea, and honey green tea. All are good !

This is really really yummy! I got the lychee green tea with mango jelly. I called and asked if there was gelatin in the jelly beforehand and they told me there wasn't any in there so that's a plus! My younger brother said it's "bussin bussin" My cousin and sister said the boba was super top notch. Great chewability Taste of the brown sugar really permeated and honestly we'd come back for more!
