This is one of the best sushi places I’ve ever gone to. Having a variety of food options as well and an amazing team working, you won’t regret taking time to enjoy in the wonderful sit down restaurant. I ordered under the Chef’s Special roll and got the Seafood Combo Tempura Roll, Japanese Bagel Roll as well as the Spider Roll from the Yirasai’s Special Roll. We also got to try a few others as well as ice cream mochi for desert. Having a large set of options to choose from may sometimes be hard, but know that everything here is very well prepared and flavorful. At the end of the day, me and my friend were able to feel welcomed while enjoying our food, once again this is a 10/10 place, would highly recommend!

All rice, Was heading to a sushi place I frequent, but saw this place on the way and decided to dine in and try something new. Staff was friendly and the place was quaint with soothing music. Ordered an assortment of rolls we usually get, they brought them out in a boat which was a nice touch. This is when it got disappointing. Very disappointing (my personal opinion) As soon as they placed it down I could tell this was ALL RICE. They also forgot an order of rolls I had ordered. I didn’t even care to tell them because I didn’t want it anymore. Giant overly rice’d up rolls with minimal filler. (See pictures) I do eat a lot of sushi so I’m a bit judgmental. If this had been cheap sushi I would’ve shrugged it off but it wasn’t, I wanted to leave and just not eat any of it or pay for it but didn’t want to be rude. Before adjusting the bill because of the rolls they forgot to bring, it was around 75$ 75$ for rice , I’m sure a lot of menu items are good but what I expected vs what they brought was a big let down. Ate some and took a lot in a to-go box, again let me say staff and place is very nice. Although, that sushi was such an overpriced letdown that I would not buy there again. This is just my personal experience, I’m sure plenty of people like it.

Google
The price was just right and the quality was fresh. I am so glad they moved to their new location because it is so combiner to get to and plenty of parking nearby. I would 100% order again. The service was also fast. I did order take out and plated it when I got home, but I am sure the food looks even better when you get it there.

Google
This place is very casual and perfect place to grab a quick lunch. Lunch fare is priced modestly! If you are looking for an Instagrammable ambiance with swanky decor this is not the venue to go to! That being said, the food and service was on point. The sushi rolls were made to order and done so in a quick and efficient manner. I experienced my first hot sake and that was enjoyable given the time of year. *I did notice they included the alcohol sales tax charges on our check. It didn’t bother me given the one drink I ordered, but could be an imposition if a group of people were to order multiple drinks.* Please note the doors on the front of the restaurant facing Park Potomac Ave are not considered an entrance. The “entrance” is to the left of those doors along the adjacent side of the building! Enjoy!

Google
Stumbled on this sushi restaurant as a meeting place between myself and a friend and equal distant. It was nice, excellent menu of sushi, and bento boxes as an option as well. Sushi was fresh, not too much rice, and great selection. Miso soup had good flavor, and my friend raved about the vegetable tempura. Sake list was also a wide selection of choices. Would go again.

Google
Great to have them here in the neighborhood! Haven’t had a sushi place so close so we’re very glad their here and tried them today - food was very good, we especially loved the appetizers. We came at 3pm so there wasn’t anyone here, because of that we didn’t get a great read on the atmosphere, but the service was great and everything we tried was delicious. We will definitely be back!

A local favorite with over-the-top service and delicious food. The soybean roll is fantastic!

Yelp
No.1 Sushi in Maryland , Service was very good, they were very kind. The ambiance was like you are in a nice, and quite sushi restaurant. We orded Udon and a lunch combo. The udon noodle was very stretchy and delicious. We have finished all of our food.My family also loves it.

Yelp
Amazing sushi and amazing service! I always get their spicy scallop roll and it never fails. While their sushi is super delicious and great quality, I really wanted to highlight the service. We came in on a random Tuesday night where it was quieter with our very chatty 2 year old who is still learning how to use his indoor voice, but the staff was nothing but gracious and accommodating. They did not make us feel like we were being too loud or anything and were playful and sweet with our little one. Being socially anxious induced parents (maybe just me), it made us feel so welcomed. On top of that, they gave us two different sushi pieces to try on the house! I highly recommend this place for great food and great service.

Yelp
Cozy sushi spot inside of Potomac Park shopping center. Close to the Lifetime Fitness in Potomac. We ordered the Sushi Appetizer, Eel Roll, Sushi & Sashimi Lunch Special, and Sushi Special Box. Sushi was good. Not the best sushi I have had in the area, but definitely not the worst. Fish was good quality and rice was fresh. The eel roll had tempura flakes in it which added a nice crunch. The red snapper nigiri was a little chewy, other fish were fine. Service here was exceptional! All the waiters were very kind and attentive. Service was fast. The Sushi Special Box was the best item. I got the salmon teriyaki which was cooked nicely and seasoned perfectly. It also came with a California roll, nigiri, rice, salad, and soup. Good amount of food for $18! I would come back again to try their kitchen entrees.

Yelp
Such a delicious and high quality sushi spot! Medium-size, no-frills interior. Definitely has street parking, not too sure about nearby lots / garages. Came around 8:30pm on a friday and there were customers, but not a ton. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. To start, we asked for one bowl of miso soup with two spoons - they instead brought us a whole second bowl on the house, which was awesome. Soup was hot and tasty. We ordered 6-7 rolls and they brought us a boat! I don't love spicy tuna rolls in general but theirs was the best I've ever had. and the california honey roll was soooooo delicious. i would definitely come back / order takeout from here!

Maegan G.

Yelp
My brother and sister in law have been raving about this place since it opened. I live less than a mile away and I finally got around to trying it and was not disappointed. These were some of the freshest rolls I've had in MoCo. Service was prompt and I appreciated having my water glass filled several times. I can't wait to come back. It was busy on a Friday night at 7pm when we first arrived but by 8pm it had slowed down quite a bit. It certainly helped to have a reservation!

Arnie S.

Yelp
Fresh! Bonus salad and soup with my assortment platter take away order. Nice people. Their prices are fair for the variety and size of the pieces. They have Uni!

Yelp
I've been a huge fan of Yirasai for years, always returning when going home to visit family. I'm so glad that it survived beyond the original location! The new location is larger, but has lost some of the charm of the original spot (the walls are no longer wallpapered with pictures of customers). Service is still slow - even when the restaurant is empty, you know it will take a while. Now, that's because the sushi is made fresh before your eyes, but this isn't the spot if you're looking for a quick lunch.

Donald T.

Yelp
Yirasai Sushi--absolutely incredible! The best sushi, maybe ever. Fresh, delicious, and perfectly done. The spicy tuna? Unbelievable. The staff? So friendly and professional. A real winner, folks. Highly recommend! Truly tremendous!

Mimi W.

Yelp
Casual sushi place located at Park Potomac with lots of free parking. Clean and spacious for a sushi place, but we went right at opening, so no issues getting a spot and everything came out relatively quickly. We didn't interact too much with the staff, but service was good. We ordered 6 rolls and left quite full for 2 people and everything was quite tasty. A good variety of sushi rolls that tasted fresh and flavors were nice. Very solid sushi place. 4 star all around.

Arnie K.

Yelp
Kim's bas never been about the atmosphere, or a bespoke experience. The food and service is first-rate.

Vicky L.

Yelp
I recommend. My go to is the tekadon and the tuna is generally fresh. The dish also comes with miso soap and salad. The owner and employees are so friendly and make an effort to say hello to you. They also always throw in a few complimentary pieces of sushi each time we go there.

Yelp
So happy I finally got to try this place out because the sushi and sashimi are amazing! Came here on a Saturday evening (around 7) for dinner with my husband. We got seated right away -- thought it was going to be a smaller place but they had more tables in the back. I ordered the chirashi ($22.95) which comes with an assortment of sashimi on top of rice, miso soup and seaweed salad. The fish tasted fresh and just melted in my mouth. I wish they sliced it a bit thicker though but the flavor and texture itself was very good. My favorite was the salmon. The service was great despite them being busy with both diners and online orders. Loved how we got a complimentary soybean sushi. Definitely coming back here for lunch or to try their sushi boat!

Ilona C.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from here for the first time from Uber Eats. We ordered their sushi combo and found a live worm in it that is likely anisakiasis. See photo. This means that they're not keeping their fish properly. I'm never ordering again from here or eating sushi for some time. When the restaurant was called they said "it is not uncommon, especially with flounder" and she admitted it happens on occasion and then claimed it's not harmful. This is a disturbing response. Link for information about the parasite: https://www.cdc.gov/parasites/anisakiasis/faqs.html

Yelp
Sushi was amazing. Cute little spot in Potomac. Took a while to get our food but I was very full and happy with my meal . I will be back.

Yelp
I was really excited to have a sushi restaurant 5 minutes away from my house. Yirasai Sushi and Cafe is literally 2 doors down from Harris Teeter, so it would be really convenient to grab my groceries and pick up sushi for dinner on the way home. Like any good Yelper, I looked at the menu and reviews. I knew what I wanted and was ready to order. It was 4 o'clock on a Saturday and the restaurant was lightly full of people. It took about 5 minutes to get someone's attention to take my order. I gave my order and paid the check. I Iooked around the restaurant and took pictures for my review. There was one sushi chef and one assistant. There were 2 waitresses on staff. Ten minutes go by, 15 minutes go by, and I asked to speak to a manager to ask about what happened to my food? They said there was no manager there today. Twenty minutes goes by and they bring out an avocado sliced up in a plastic take out container. I asked if they could add some lettuce, since an avocado salad should have lettuce? And,there was no dressing? For $6.25 you should have a well dressed salad. I asked about my specialty roll and soup? They hadn't even started them. After 25 minutes, I asked for my money to be refunded and I left. Worst service ever and you won't be seeing me going back there. It has been decades, since I have ever left a restaurant and asked for a refund. Such a shame, I had high hopes.

Yelp
Really good service and food comes quickly. Everything looks so good! Many people working here as well. The restaurant is decorated really well too. Very nice designs

Yelp
This family-owned business has been feeding my family for a very long time. Mr. Kim weathered the storm of real estate development finding a new home where he created a great in-house dining experiment. My wife and I dined in yesterday and enjoyed great food, ambiance and hospitality. Thank you Mr. Kim.

Mark N.

Yelp
My wife and I came in on a Saturday night, before the dinner rush, and we were seated almost immediately. The restaurant was extremely spacious and very bright with a lot of tables. Despite being very busy with online orders, the servers were very quick and polite. I always try the spicy tuna rolls to really rate a sushi place and it definitely did not disappoint. The spicy tuna was portioned wonderfully and tasted amazing, even the sauce wasn't overpowering the fish. The Godzilla roll was packed with flavor and balanced well still. Every bite of each sushi was amazing and I had to slow down so that I can enjoy the meal. One of the servers walked by and gave us a complimentary soybean roll, which was deceptively really good, definitely did not expect it. I highly suggest Yirasai if you enjoy sushi.

Teresa C.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Yirasai Sushi & Cafe in Park Potomac. We used to dine at the Bethesda location! They moved to a better location with more parking. We shared Agedashi Tofu, Sunomono Salad, Yirasai Chef's Special Sashimi, Hawaiian Sunset Roll, Futomaki, and Seafood Combo Teriyaki. I liked how the entrees came with a miso soup and house salad. Our only complaints were the futomaki was not what we expected it to be. It only had egg omelet, asparagus, and cucumber. It was missing marinated kanpyo, shiitake mushrooms, spinach, and Japanese yellow pickled radish.

Chris T.

Yelp
We have ordered takeout from here countless times but I think today will make us take a break from Yirasai for a good while. Today, there was something off about everything we ordered. Super Spicy Crazy Roll- shrimp had a HUGE digestive line still in it. I know I've probably eaten it before plenty of times elsewhere, but todays was really bad. It takes 5 seconds to use a toothpick and pull it out before cooking. I know I wont die from it but it's just something restaurants should do, especially if you're serving something that's supposed to look nice. California Rolls- literally just a pinch of imitation crab meat and underripe avocados (was like biting into an eraser). Avocado rolls- See above... my 2 year old couldn't even bite into the avocado and that monster takes chunks out of my arm. Salmon roll- Sooo friggin chewy. Either they left some brown part on the orange meat or they but the fish in the microwave to defrost and it cooked the meat. Who knows. Cucumber roll- pretty much all the skins of the cucumbers. It was so tough to eat. I'm not sure what happened today, but it was enough to turn me off to this place for a while.

Yelp
On a Wednesday evening, my boyfriend and I had dinner at Yirasai Sushi, which used to be located in Bethesda but relocated to Park Potomac in April 2022. For drinks, my boyfriend enjoyed an Asahi while I enjoyed hot Japanese green tea. For dinner, we shared a Sunomono Salad, Yakisoba with Chicken, Hawaiian Sunset Roll, and Seafood Combo Tempura Roll. Our order came with two Miso Soups and a House Salad with a ginger dressing. The Sunomono consisted of cucumber salad, shrimp, octopus, and crab served in a sweet vinegar sauce topped with seaweed salad. The Yakisoba consisted of pan grilled thin Japanese noodles stirfried with assorted vegetables and chicken breast in a Yakisoba sauce made with a Japanese 7-spice blend. It reminded my boyfriend of the Yakisoba he had in Japan. The Hawaiian Sunset Roll consisted of a crab and cucumber roll topped with salmon, avocado, and crushed pineapple. I discovered that I love pineapple on sushi! The Seafood Combo Tempura Roll consisted of a roll stuffed with an assortment of seafood (including salmon, crab, shrimp, and red snapper) tempura and finished with an eel sauce drizzle. Towards the end of our meal, each of us received complimentary Soybean roll, which consisted of a beancurd wrapped avocado roll topped with a spicy mayo and tempura bits. By the end of our meal, our stomachs were satisfied. However, our server gave us our check before asking if we wanted dessert.

Yelp
This place left a bad taste in my mouth in terms of what I paid and for and what I got. You would think for a place that describes itself as a neighborhood gem it wouldn't make you question why you bothered to pay a premium for a sub-par experience. My stand out issues were mainly with two items. Most of the other food was just about what you'd expect and could get for a comparable or cheaper price elsewhere, maybe even at a better quality. Hibachi Beef Bowl was a sad amalgamation of rice, beef strips, and bland flavorless vegetables. The strips of beef looked like they were the stir fried beef strips you could get at Costco and they weren't "layered" on top, more like just piled on with some sauce drizzled over. The beef also had virtually no color on it, they were quite grey looking which doesn't seem very "hibachi" given that you'd expect somewhat of a sear considering how hibachi is supposed to be cooked. The Crap Imperial Roll was also insulting. It's almost 1.5 times the price of a California Roll with Masago (the orange roe on top), but its just a slightly larger California Roll dusted with Old Bay. And on that note, what sushi place has a separate California Roll option that charges extra for the Masago?! Isn't that just part of a California Roll?! Also, the amount of Masago you'd get with one is NOT worth an up-charge. Even if it's just 50 cents that's nothing but greedy. The rest of the rolls were either forgettable or just plain sad. Nothing tasted bad necessarily but just overall for the price you're paying and what you get out of it does nothing but upset me whenever I think about it or remember it. It feels like the prices are because they're located in Potomac and not because the food justifies that price, which is just backwards.

Milena L.

Yelp
Love the vibe and food with love! The space is cozy, family feel and the food authentic and yummy. With many eel choices! Which is a favorite of mine !

Cheryl T.

Yelp
I live near and upon seeing a friend post on FB about this place (she had a good experience) I decided to try. I usually go to Hanaro or Niwano sushi. Ordered Teriyaki salmon dinner box (C), veggie and shrimp tempura appetizer and a spicy tuna roll to go. Tempura and spicy tuna were regular. Salmon was very over cooked (dry), white rice and veggies under it dry/hard and they didn't include the California roll that is part of this item (left off). I was eating outside nearby to celebrate the coming solstice. When I called, there was too much commotion and back and forth among staff on phone. They offered to credit me for my next visit and varying scenarios. I don't plan to return. Finally, Jeff, who is a server there but has no authority (nice helpful spirit) said they will refund me.

Barbara N.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch at Yirisai for a group of 20 people. The food was delicious, moderately priced and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Yum did a great job of organizing. Our lunch friends were very pleased.

Izzy S.

Yelp
Mr Kim deserves the presidential medal of freedom for running such a stupendous establishment. Best sushi in MD, hands down. The ambiance was superb and the sushi boat rocked my world.

Clayton R.

Yelp
Great to have them here in the neighborhood! Haven't had a sushi place so close so we're very glad their here and tried them today - food was very good, we especially loved the appetizers. We came at 3pm so there wasn't anyone here, because of that we didn't get a great read on the atmosphere, but the service was great and everything we tried was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Yirasai is the perfect sushi spot. The food is incredibly fresh and their COVID precautions are some of the best I've seen. We ordered the sushi and sashimi platter (sushi meaning nigiri, not rolls), an order of rolls (tuna, salmon, and California), an order of chicken and beef teriyaki, respectively. All of the sashimi and nigiri was super fresh (melt in your mouth fish) and amazingly delicious. I'd never had eel before and it was absolutely to die for. We ordered everything and it was ready in under an hour. The catering platters are well worth the cost (you get so.much.sushi.). We got a literal box worth of food, and it was packaged neat, and nothing spilled on our 15 minute ride home. Their COVID precautions are the best I've seen. The restaurant is small, so they only allow one customer in at a time. They also have tape on the floors six feet a part for customers to wait in line outside the restaurant, which is in a covered mall area. There are tables outside the restaurant you can sit and wait at but can't sit to eat.

Danny P.

Yelp
Best sushi around hands down. Amazing owners serving high-quality fresh sushi. I have been a customer since 2006 when they were located on westbard. Nobody can beat them.

Lily R.

Yelp
First time at new location and everything was great! I had a confusing order that they got exactly right and the service was amazing! My favorite sushi place in the area by far.

Jacob M.

Yelp
This is just a goto spot when home. Been loyal to these guys since I can remember. Fish is always TOP TIER, gets me fired up everytime I walk in. Only complaint is they moved farther from my crib

Sophie W.

Yelp
I have eaten here twice and it has been really good so far. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious. Service was great and the staff were all friendly. We even got a couple of complimentary items to try. Can't wait to come back!

Cate L.

Yelp
I ordered the Sushi & Sashimi Platter for carry out on a weekday (around 5pm). The fish was present, but no wasabi and ginger to be found. It's not exactly dinner rush time and there weren't any dine-ins. I am concerned for the accuracy of bigger party orders or multiple ones in the future.

T.A. E.

Yelp
Longtime customer. Reliable option for dinner, either for takeout or dining in. My favorite entree is the salmon teriyaki. Two generous pieces of salmon in delicious sauce. The starters are also delicious. Try the gyoza!

Chanel C.

Yelp
Some of the best sushi in the area. I loved this place when it was in Bethesda/ Chevy chase and I love it more now. So glad that they got a bigger space! The staff is friendly and attentive and the sushi is always great.

Sean T.

Yelp
Our favorite sushi spot in the area. Friendly, friendly people, good fish, fun rolls. Can't beat it! The place is bright but not harshly lit, and the sushi boats are too cool.

Maryam K.

Yelp
Excellent food. The fish is always fresh and delicious. They also have great and friendly service. Every time we want sushi we come here! My 6 year old sister says it deserves 1000 stars. (review by Saam, age 10)

Christina M.

Yelp
Ordered takeout a few days ago. I can't rate highly for the following reasons: 1) hot (soft shell crab roll) and cold sushi (salmon nigiri) were packaged in the same container 2) there was no divider separating the pickled ginger from the sushi, so the salmon nigiri was overpowered by the ginger flavor 3) no wasabi was included in our order It was edible, but the flavor and attention to detail that we expect from a sushi restaurant was lacking. My young kids had the chicken teriyaki bowl which they enjoyed so would recommend.

Marie M.

Yelp
A long wait for terrible sushi (probably the worst I have had at this price point in years). All the rolls were doused in spicy mayo sauce and the quality of the fish was not very fresh/questionable. The meal came with a complimentary, but forgettable soybean roll (also doused in spicy mayo sauce). They provided us with an order of edamame (since they likely pushed back our order for what appears to be a bustling takeout business or forgot about our order altogether). We appreciate the effort, but we will not be returning. There are so many sushi options nearby with better quality fish and service.

Michael C.

Yelp
Showed up on a Presidents Day holiday for lunch. A small, but comfortable establishment features a long Sushi Bar encircled by 8 varying sized tables. Two traditional Sushi Chefs work the bar and one waitress tends to the tables. They are all business, which is fine as it's all about the food. Most of the lunch specials come with Miso soup and salad. Plenty of boxes and combos adorn a fully packed list of options. I did the Sushi and Veggie Tempura Combo with salmon, shrimp and tuna. Others in our party did a Sashimi platter with the salmon, tuna, sea scallop and eel and a Sushi combo with the same and a cucumber roll. Topping off the meal was a nice treat...an egg and fish topping as a palette cleanser.

Minh P.

Yelp
I didn't dislike my experience here, but there is much better Japanese food to be had for the price. Nothing was bad, but the food was just alright. I cannot see myself coming back here. Pros: - You get two pieces of a soybean roll for free for dining in! Cons: - The rolls have a LOT of rice relative to the other ingredients (you taste more rice than anything else) - Not sure about MD, but a short drive into Northern VA provides a lot of sushi options for a comparable price with better food, IMO - Service is on the slower side

Adeline C.

Yelp
This is one of the best sushi places I have tried in MOCO! I came here on a recommendation from a local friend and will certainly be coming back here soon :) It's a relatively small place inside a business building, but parking is easy and I had made a reservation day of with no issues. The fish used for nigiri and rolls are super fresh and reasonably priced. Of what my group ordered, the hamachi was by far my favorite! For appetizers, the soft-shelled crab and agadashi tofu are both delicious as well. The soft-shelled crab was a steal in my opinion, with 4 huge pieces for about $10! The restaurant also has solid COVID precautions, taking both temperatures a you enter and making sure you use hand sanitizer before being seated.

Kristopher N.

Yelp
Top tier sushi and even better customer service. The staff was extremely welcoming from the time you enter to the moment you are walking out of the door. We had the Dinner option A which was amazing and the portions were more than fulfilling. I can not saying anything else about the experience other than it was amazing. The staff even remembers you and items you tried from your previous visit and makes suggestions. No complaints on this end other than the fact we didn't want to leave!

John P.

Yelp
Went to Yirasai on a Tuesday night. Who, you ask, buys sushi on a Tuesday night? Well we do when our daughter is home for the holidays and requests Japanese food. She didn't order fish, but wife and I took our chances and I'm happy to report that the fish was consistent with Yirasai's high standards! I'm writing this update to report that it was quiet at the shop and I had a chance to talk briefly with the wonderfully friendly and efficient longtime hostess, who informed me that the current building is being razed and rebuilt, and that they planned on returning to the building in two years! Wonderful news! It'll be a long two years but I'm thrilled that Yirasai will be coming back to the neighborhood!

Doris V.

Yelp
Yirasai never disappoints! The food is delicious. I would go when there location was in Bethesda and I was happy when they moved to north Potomac which is closer to where I live.

Stuart M.

Yelp
There were very few dine out options in their immediate area so we tried them. No, fast food on River Road was not an option. You have to get past their building, which needs to be raised. Up the slippery when wet stairs, past the Dojo full of screaming kids, and it's the next door on the right. The interior space was small, and surprisingly inviting. Our deluxe sashimi platter had 16 pieces of tender flavorful fish such as white, salmon, and yellowtail. My wife had the vegetable and shrimp tempura. With broccoli, onion, beans, and sweat potato. The coating was medium bodied. The veggies were properly done. Both orders came with a tasty miso soup, and the standard meager iceberg lettuce salad with ginger dressing. To sum it up, there was proper preparation, quality ingredients, moderate pricing, and they were the only game in town in that neighborhood.

Rachelle S.

Yelp
I work in the area, so I thought I'd give this place a try. It's an old school Japanese restaurant; think 90s/ early 2000s. The servers are kind, but don't speak much (which isn't a problem). They do try to check on you periodically. I got there toward the end of lunch, so once I got my food the staff started disappearing. They have an extension to the dining room and where they all sat to have a family style lunch. Pretty cute, but not when you're trying to be in and out. I had to interrupt them to get my check. They have a completely different menu for lunch than they do dinner which I thought was cool. They also serve sushi a la carte. There prices are good , but some things will be a hit or miss I noticed during my initial visit. I ordered the bento box which comes with teriyaki chicken (comes on top of vegetables in teriyaki sauce), white rice, tempura veggies, California rolls, ginger salad, and miso soup; all for under $15. The teriyaki chicken was my least favorite. It just didn't taste fresh, like it had a weird taste to it. The rice was okay. They only give you a few pieces of tempura veggies. I had this bright idea to peel off the tempura and noticed one of the veggies still had a bit of raw batter on it. The California roll was good. The rolls are slightly smaller than other places I've been to (but maybe it's because I got the lunchbox). I haven't completely sworn off of this restaurant, but I'll definitely give it another go since I've heard such great things about their sushi.

Yelp
I ordered a takeout order of several rolls and a Bulgogi Dinner. At home, I realized that I did not get the Gyoza and California Roll that comes with the meal. I had already finished the meal. I call them and since the Roll & Gyoza was valued at $14, I suggested they just credit my order for $10. The owner refused and insisted I return for the roll & Gyoza. She refused to give me any credit even though she acknowledged that they had made a mistake and had given me a Bulgogi dinner with Miso Soup instead. She kept repeating that I had gotten an equivalent meal so they didn't owe me any credit. After about 10 mins. of them continually repeating their arguments, I finally said I would contact my credit card and dispute the charge. Only then did she agree to credit me for $10, however, she said she would charge her employee for the mistake. I did not want an employee who probably earns minimum wage to pay for the $10. As a result, I was forced to return to the restaurant and get the roll and Gyoza. I've worked in many restaurants in my younger days and whenever a mistake was made the restaurant compensated the customer and often provided additional items as a goodwill gesture. This owner was combative and dismissive. Her attitude is mystifying given all the good sushi restaurants nearby. I will refuse to patronize them in the future and advise all my family and friends to do the same.

Yelp
This is a much needed and fantastic choice in Park Potomac. Unfortunately a loss for Bethesda, but a gain for the Rockville /Potomac crowed. Great meal!
