Top Chef Houston’s Only Local Contestant Evelyn Garcia Prepares for Season 19 Premier, Plans New Restaurant | Eater Houston

"Started as a Southeast Asian food stall in Rice Village’s Politan Row serving signature dishes while searching for a permanent home, the operation pivoted after the food hall closed in November 2020. The team developed a line of Southeast Asian spices and condiments that sells wholesale and at farmers markets, expanded pop-ups around the city, and uses product sales to sustain and grow the brand. The business also stages lively events—complete with DJs, a mariachi band, interactive attractions, photo opportunities, food and drinks, and local vendors—to engage customers and raise its profile as it pursues a brick‑and‑mortar future." - Brittany Britto Garley

One of our new favorite sushi spots. I love the fact that they also serve Thai food as well as a very wide amount of sushi, maki, sushi rolls and other amazing dishes. We have been here twice now and each time the service & food has been great. The service is always spot on and the food is delivered very fast.

In my personal opinion probably one of the best sushi in the southern region of Wisconsin... Beautifully displayed, the taste was amazing, ramen broth was incredibly delicious, drinks were perfect especially for how warm the weather was, the staff was attentive and caring. 1-10 experience wise ... I'd rate it 9.5 :) 3 people bill was around 160 ish.

Started with the kalamari and the tempura shrimp appaetizers. Both seem to be pretty standard deep fried foods you coukd buy from the Schwanns man, pretty dissapointing. I had the honey roasted duck entree which was fine. My parents both ordered dry ramen pork, whcih was very good. Sake is very over priced here. Chairs and benches are hard and uncomfortable seating.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server was great, food came quickly, would highly recommend. Can get a bit busy and loud inside during peak times, so make sure to set a reservation!

Had an amazing meal at Kin last night. The service was excellent and the food and presentation was superb. The staff could not have been nicer to our 1 year old grandson. Everything we ate was delicious. The restaurant was very busy even at an early dinner hour telling me it's the place to go for sushi in the area. Highly recommend.

A nice spot for a quick Sushi / fusion meal. Especially nice Tom Kha soup and specialty rolls. They offer a gluten-free menu, tamari and are knowledgeable about cross-contact.

Crab Rangoon, Drunken Noodle, Milwaukee Sushi, and Terryaki bowl were all amazing. Nice mix of spicy and sweet. Great place to grab a meal!!! Can't wait to come back.

Kin is our go-to sushi spot in the Milwaukee area that we’ve been to a few times. Below are some of the items I’ve tried. Great ambiance and service with even better food. Tom Yum Ramen: 4.5/5 it was moderate heat and flavor, but I have definitely had better. Still a good option if you’re craving ramen. Honey Glazed Duck Bun: 4.3/5 Solid appetizer but didn’t blow me away. Lacks the flavor I was hoping for Milwaukee sushi: 5/5 The Trust Me Maki sushi is a bit pricier with the same number of pcs, but the rolls are loaded with flavor and more items. Loved this sushi—some of the best I’ve had with light to moderate spice Spicy Salmon sushi: 5/5 The Maki World sushi is less expensive, has less items in it, and same number of pcs. Again, great sushi and was the right amount of spice (light to moderate) Two Nations Noodle (not pictured): 5/5 All I can say is WOW! The perfect amount of spice and my favorite items on the menu. Packed with flavor and the chef’s twist on drunken noodles. A must-try if you visit Kin.
