KIN Cafe

I had a quick layover in London on my way back to the states. I was staying by Hyde park and wanted to get some healthy brunch/breakfast before my flight out. Kin Cafe definitely fit the bill. The service here was fantastic, and the food portions were generous. I ordered both the oat porridge and Kin Hash with sweet potato. It was a lot of food but it was soo good that I ate it all without blinking. Everything was so tasty I even ordered a burrito to go. It was the perfect snack size meal for my travels as it was packaged to go and is super healthy and delicious. If you are ever craving a super chill joint with excellent healthy food, make sure to stop by Kin Cafe.

I had a omelette plate, which comes with a half slice of sourdough and salad. I also ordered a fresh smooth and oat latte. The omelette surprises me by having green chili and some veggies inside. I have tried different omelette in other restaurants, and this is quite special from what you will usually taste. If you like something different to start off your day, I think it’s worth giving a shot. I also really enjoyed both drinks I ordered. The coffee size is decent, as I don’t usually enjoy big cup of latte. The staff is very friendly and I think they serve the food in a very efficient way. If you come in summer and sit outdoor, it will be a very beautiful morning, at least I enjoyed it!

Lovely little veggie/vegan cafe not far from Oxford Circus. I love the fact that all meals can be made vegan too. I came with my mum and we shared the waffles and pancakes. Both were delish, but I preferred the waffles as they had a nice crunchy texture. Portions were a tad big as I’m feeling very full. Regardless, I’ll be back again to try some of their savoury meals as I had food envy for all the other dishes that were coming out!! Addendum: I came back and had the burrito (picture added), which was delicious and set me up nicely to donate blood at the donation centre just around the corner. Again, I had food envy so I will come back to sample more meals!

In my quest to write reviews for my blog, I've noticed a recurring theme: while many restaurants offer good-quality food, portion sizes tend to be on the smaller side. However, I'm happy to report that this wasn't the case at Kin Cafe. Their portions are quite generous, especially with dishes like the vegan breakfast and the hash breakfast, which are both satisfyingly sized and packed with flavourful ingredients. One standout for me was the vegan pancakes – they were simply delightful. Additionally, their take-out counter boasts a wide array of tempting salads and mains for lunch, providing plenty of options for those on the go. With its cosy atmosphere and offerings ranging from breakfast to brunch, lunch, and small plates in the evening, Kin Cafe is truly a gem for vegan Londoners. It's definitely a spot worth visiting for a fulfilling and enjoyable dining experience.

love everything about the cafe! good food, smooth-taste coffee, with lovely atmosphere. they offer contactless payment using qr code with an additional charge. welcoming and friendly services from the staffs, although they stare almost every minute, which can feel a bit uncomfortable.((i understand they may be waiting for you to finish your food or in case you need anything extra))

Wonderful place to stop for brunch for two in central London. Plenty of vegan options making it difficult to decide what to go for as it all sounded so good. The waitress serving us was a super-star and despite being incredibly busy, made sure we (and the dozen or so other walk-ins) were seated quickly with menus and orders taken with no fuss. Both meals were delicious and the coffee was the best we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

Best vegan brunch in London! The food here is fresh and genuinely phenomenal! I had the hash and my friend had avocado toast and both were so delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Vegetarian/Vegan cafe with amazing breakfast. Please, try KIN Breakfast. It’s very taste and light. You feel so good after eating. Friendly staff and you can talk with them. Thank you for good mood, guys.

A pleasant server met us outside when my friend and I stopped by here for lunch, as we didn't have reservations. We got a seat within 10 minutes. A lovely waitress came and took our orders promptly. I had the KIN hash and the waitress happily took a few alterations I made like scrambled rather than poached eggs, and both sweet potato and butternut squash rather than have choosing to choose one. Overall I really enjoyed my meal: excellent portion size for the money and very tasty. My friend had the roast with a number of vegan sides and said it definitely tasted better there versus Deliveroo. I also really liked the skinny chai latte albeit it seems the cup wasn't filled all the way to the top. Cheery place and good value for meal. I had the vegan double chocolate cookie for takeaway and it was tasty: chewy and full of chips. The butternut frosting loaf slice though, whilst moist, was a bit blander. I would definitely return.

Wonderful little cafe with extremely high-quality vegan and vegetarian breakfast/brunch/lunch food at reasonable prices. My wife & I stopped in for brunch on a Tuesday morning. The place is small, modern, and well-designed, with lots of beautiful looking to-go food at their counter, and a dine-in menu. My wife got the Kin Breakfast (vegan version; £14) and I got the Kin Hash with butternut squash (vegan version; £14). It's cool that all dishes can be made vegan. Our food came out in about 10 minutes. The portions were very generous, with a wonderfully presented array of various items. My hash came with asparagus, broccolini, arugula, guac, the most wonderfully spiced/crusted tofu, crispy kale, and pickled carrots. Everything was sublimely done, with the tofu being the easy highlight. Very friendly and helpful service rounds out the experience. Highly recommended.

This cute cafe has a great ambiance and super friendly service. We really enjoyed the vegan breakfast platter and vegan chicken burger with onion rings. We also got green juice and fresh orange juice. The tofu egg scramble on the platter was so flavorful especially on top of the fresh bread.

What a treat it was to be able to enjoy brunch at Kin Café not once, but twice on the short leg of our London trip. What sent us here? The promise of an unforgettable plant-based English Breakfast and mouthwatering photos to boot. The reviews were not wrong. Kin Café's plant-based rendition was everything we'd hoped for from a classic English Breakfast - nothing felt like it was missing. Not to mention, their sweet breakfast options [decadent pancakes and waffles] made for the perfect pairing. Not only was the food 11/10, but so was the space and service. While the space is on the smaller side, it made for a much more cozy and intimate feel. The kind and accommodating service was also what made Kin feel like a little slice from home. During our second visit, after ordering the waffles, the staff informed us that their waffle maker took an unexpected vacation. They sent us pancakes and two free drinks - what a treat. When every bite is better than the previous, you know you've won the brunch jackpot. We went there for a Saturday brunch with a couple of friends. We ordered at the register and then seated on a table outside waiting to be served. The turmeric latte with oatmilk was good and creamy! However... we waited an hour to be served food due to new staff in the kitchen. I don't mind waiting since everybody needs time to learn a new job however, I would have appreciated to be warned at the beginning. To apologizes, the waitress offered us some fresh juices which was very kind of her. And now, the Food ! The vegetarian breakfast was really good and fulfill! It was well done and perfect size ! The French toasts were decent but a bit too dry for me... I guess that's it was served with yogurt. This place is nice for a lot of nice vegan options

BEST COFFEE I've had in London so far (been here 3 months). Vegan quiche and salads were pretty good. The quiche felt a bit dry, it might benefit from a relish, chutney or sauce of some sort? There were 3 salads, of which I chose two to have on the side. Fresh and healthy but a little lacking in the flavor department. I'll definitely go back and try some of the sweet stuff. It wasn't a bad experience, I think it's just one of those cafes I'll only visit if I'm in the area and feel snacky or want another GREAT COFFEE.

I've been hearing about Kin for awhile, so I was excited to finally get there. I was tempted first by their menu online of a nice selection of vegan food. They did have a few selections on the day like avocado toast, sandwich, and a few others. But more importantly: CAKE. Most of the selection of baked goods were vegan and probably half were gluten-free. Everything with nuts was clearly marked. I was debating what to drink as they had nice coffee, a selection of loose leaf teas, freshly pressed juice and a hot drinking vinegar which I was very intrigued about. But since I saw all that VEGAN CAKE, it had to be just a black Americano to go with my Coffee-Walnut CAKE. Coffee was flavorful, CAKE was moist and sweet (more coffee please), all in a cute little cafe. That's the only downfall, and lack of 5 stars. The minimalistic small space does not allow for very many people. But you do feel very special if you get to sit in a real chair! It's a short-ish walk from Goodge Street station which lets you pass by many little shops and boutiques which you make a note of to go back to later. I will definitely go back, eat more CAKE and try some food and juices and teas and..

Unreal. You have to try this place. We had the pancake, the pesto tofu scramble toasti, and a cauliflower toasti, flat white, dirty chai, etc! All vegan and all amazing and super affordable. Super nice staff, central location, and cute sidewalk seating.

Another amazing coffee shop !!! 10 minutes walk from Oxford Circus . Nestled in a quite street close to "The Attendant ". Lovely spot . Outdore seating area ! calm atmosphere and as it's nit too busy you can relaxed and enjoy coffee and food . ( vegetarian and gluten free ) I love this place . Staff is very friendly and the barista is "top", he knows his job and he loves it . I feel very well here ! And .... Free wifi , network and password are on the blackboard with the menu ...

Caters for just about every dietary requirements/pickyness imaginable. I had an almond milk matcha latte with some sort of delectable gluten free dairy free treat. The lunch food all looked home made, healthy and delicious, can't wait to go back!

This is my place. This is my go to. The chai here is out of this universe, real proper infused chai, no powder or syrup. Roma is seriously the master. Every day they have three fresh devine salads. The pastel de nata is incredible. This is my number one favourite café in London. They have become like a family: Jess, you're a legend. Kin is a must

If you're (justifiably) sad at the demise of Covent Garden's Food For Thought, Kin Café is your answer, and then some! How this place is still so relatively unknown I'll never know but I'm so glad it is, and don't get me wrong, lunch time was super busy, but with this standard of veggie and vegan dishes they still manage to maintain a chilled and welcome atmosphere. Big and imaginative selection of salads are the kind that make carnivores think twice. Loads of gf and df options too. We had quiches with a different salad each. Juices so delicious I went back for another one. I look forward to upgrading to 5 stars once I've sampled their breakfast menu and highly recommend coffee. A new firm favourite!

In need to some fresh vegetable juice, I was sent to this spot by the owners of Mother's Milk. Everyone here was awesome and happy to indulge my off-menu requests. Great food, inviting atmosphere, hip environment. Recommended Highly.

It's really satisfying to be able to find a reasonably quiet cafe in Central London with excellent coffee. To be honest, there's no reason why Kin shouldn't be as bustling as, say, Tap, Kaffeine, Store St Espresso (especially seeing as they removed their plugs...), but I appreciate that I was able to sit here with my laptop for a while. I hope that they get enough business to, well stay open. I am worried as to whether this coffee boom is sustainable - will we end up like NZ, or will the coffee bubble burst, leaving us at the mercy of the Costas of this world? In the future, will Single Origin coffee be a precious commodity? Will rogue roasters (roagusters?) start cutting beans with Maxwell House until "Single Origin" coffees are, in fact, only 21 % 'pure'? I mean, you'll be sold Peaberry, but it'll probably contain mostly instant, some real beans, and dried cranberries to give it that zing. The future is blacker than a good espresso, mark my words. My first couple of impressions - friendly staff (who are very particular about their music choices) and excellent attention to detail. I had two Finca Santa Barbara espressos (I think Notes?) - the guy made the first one twice as it wasn't quite right. I bet it wasn't even bad the first time around, but I appreciate that pride. The coffee was really good - this particular one is pretty rich with a really nice bottom end. Well, I had two, that tells you all you need to know. I particularly liked the mouthfeel (cannot say that word without sniggering to myself). They also do filters/Aeropresses too for people that way inclined. I was a good boy and abstained from the pastries, but will check them out next time I go. I did, however, bring back a bag of Notes beans, so all good. Definitely will return in the near future as Kin really holds its own against the other quality coffee shops in the area.

Amazing coffee, lovely staff and great atmosphere. I cannot wait to go back and try the food. I am fussy when it comes to coffee but this is definitely a place to stop off to grab a coffee on your way to work

This is london's best gourmet healthy/vegetarian/vegan/raw/coffee-connoisseurs cafe...full stop! I don't think most of the customers are vegetarian; it's the chef's amazing creativity they come for and the vegan version of things (such as the amazing 'cheesier' tofu scrambled egg) usually taste better (and are better for you) than the non-vegan versions they also sell! Even baked beans on toast here is 100% homemade and is a treat! The coffee here is also first class (espresso to die for) but it's the creativity and amazing flavours of the food that sets this place apart from the same-same unimaginative stuff everyone else peddles. Even if you couldn't give a damn about healthy food, and hate vegetarians, you should check this place out, before Londoners discover it and the queues are out the door. Recently, some of the more obvious 'run of the mill' staples have started creeping into the menu, but I hope they stay with the impressive creative dishes that sets this little place apart and will eventually put them in the map. Five stars from me!

I can't say enough good things about Kin Cafe. As a Vegan traveler, finding nutritious, good tasting food, and great service is difficult at past. Often when traveling, being Vegan, you end up eating lots of carbs and having a difficult time finding vegetables and good quality food. We stopped by Kin for breakfast the morning we were leaving to travel back to the USA. We really needed a good nutritious meal for the long day of travel ahead. Prior to our visit we emailed to insure vegan options were available. Kin was great at responding, and following up. Upon our arrival the people working there were beyond friendly and helpful in helping us select the best options for breakfast. Everything was very fresh tasting and high quality, and great tasting. Also, not to be forgotten, the Oat Milk Cappuccino's were to die for. We ended up having two a piece. Finally, the vegan cupcake for desert was diving. If you travel to London, or live there, and are a vegetarian, vegan, or just like good food, don't miss Kin Cafe!!!
