"Whether or not you or your mother own a “Wine Mom” magnet, we love to see moms get a little tipsy and take some time off from all the work they put in to make our lives better. Take your mom to Kindred’s Orange Wine Festival this Mother’s Day for a five-course, family-style meal that includes samples of 10 different wines and their handmade pastas. Buy your tickets here." - neha talreja
"From the same people as Ruffian, Kindred is another great spot to drink natural wine and eat small plates in the East Village. Their sidewalk tables are under a big tent covered in hanging lights, so you won’t panic-sprint to the nearest scaffolding at the first sign of rain. Make a reservation ahead of time through their website, and order some orange wine and housemade corzetti with spicy ’nduja any day from 4-10pm (11pm on weekends)." - hannah albertine, matt tervooren
"We can’t think of a better early fall dinner plan than enjoying a refreshing bottle of discounted orange wine and a bowl of handmade agnolotti outdoors. Thankfully, Kindred can make it all happen with its new Happy Hour service. From 5-7pm, every Tuesday-Saturday, this East Village wine bar is now offering a selection of cocktails, wine, pasta, and snacks that won’t require you to dip into your savings account. Plus, if you haven’t heard, their sister wine bar Ruffian is expanding its dining room very soon - read all about it here." - nikko duren
"With all due respect to watching the guy who yelled “yard sale” from the chairlift proceed to lose his skis and poles five minutes later, après-ski is the best part of any ski vacation. But there’s no rule saying that hot buttered rum and tequila-infused hot cocoa can only be consumed at the base of a mountain. For the next week, you can après-ski with hot cocktails, as well as alpine-inspired food and wine on Kindred’s heated outdoor patio Wednesday through Saturday from 4-11pm." - matt tervooren
"Come to this East Village spot around 5pm, and you might be mad we included it on the guide. Order a glass of Slovenian orange wine, and allow us to explain. From 9am-4:30pm on weekdays, this place from the people behind Ruffian - one of our favorite wine bars in NYC - uses its outdoor patio as a communal workspace. Reserve a spot through their website for $25 per person, and along with wifi and a charging station, you’ll get bottomless coffee all day. You can order lunch separately, and you should stick around until 5pm, when they do a daily Happy Hour." - matt tervooren
