King Cajun

We went for the experience and it definitely delivered! Since it was our first time, we tried one of the pre-made seafood boil mixes, which was a great way to explore the menu. I got a good sense of what I like and what I might skip next time - the mussels seemed a little undercooked for my taste. That said, I’m excited to customize my own boil next time. The sauce? Incredible! That’s where the magic really is! I also had the lobster fries, which completely exceeded my expectations. So good!

The food is amazing. Everyone is very communicative. We did not have to wait long at all to get served and for the food to come out. Absolutely will be back! My brother got the combo 3 and I make my own seafood boil combo. Both are amazing. The flavors are amazing! Definitely a place I would recommend.

The food had me coming back sooner than expected!!! Try the fries they are delicious. I had to update my review as google won’t let me make new one. These two cashiers are the best and work so hard! They make spending 60-70 dollars easy lol.

We ordered the Special (shared between two of us)! Food was delicious, and I really liked all the extra garlic in the sauce. Staff is friendly and welcoming, specifically Samuel was awesome. A plus is that the place is very clean and taken care of.

Dining here with my family was an amazing experience! We were pleasantly surprised by how fresh the food was and how generous the portions were. The sauce, in particular, was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. My siblings really loved the atmosphere here, and we’ll definitely come back many more times. Oh, and the service was excellent people was friendly and attentive Highly recommend bringing your family and friends here for a great meal!

Three things that I look for in a restaurant is cleanliness, friendliness, and deliciousness. This spot had all three! It was my family‘s first time experiencing a seafood boil. We will definitely be back.

My cousin and I came here for the first time to celebrate her birthday and I am so happy we did! The service was great. Samual was nice, helpful and very patient with us. The food was great! I had the crab fried rice and my cousin had meal# 2 (crab legs, sausage, shrimp, corn, potato, egg and a side of rice). The food is well price. Overall if you are looking for some good food and service and are in the area you must try. You will be regret it

My daughter wanted a sea food boil for her birthday so we did some looking around and landed on king Cajun. The Cajun wings are a 10/10 my son is 4 and ate 5 to himself. My daughter got the seafood boil with a cluster of crabs and shrimp. She loved it she says 8/10. I tried the lobster fries which I give a 7/10 overall great experience and great service. My boyfriend got the lobster fries but didn't like them and they swapped them out for wings.

Food was fresh and so flavorful. The restaurant is so clean and the service was top notch. They take time to explain everything! I will be back!

I am obsessed! the flavors are there! And I could not stop eating. Service was amazing. I didn't love having to go to the counter to order. I wish they'd just come to the table, but it is not the end of the world. Just inconvenient with kids! There is also no alcohol, which some beer or sake would be a great pairing! The food is so good, these little things do not change anything. I ordered head on shrimp, my daughter ate a .5 pound of peeled shrimp, and my oldest had crab! We all ate most of our food! It was AMAZING. We will be back

I would like to start off by saying that crab boils are my favorite type of food in the whole world. I've had the opportunity to try lots where I'm from, which is Idaho, one in Hawaii, one in Tucson, Arizona, and one in New York, all of which are amazing experiences. With so many positive reviews, I thought I would give this place a try! I was very excited to get my food which I ordered through Uber Eats, it got here pretty quickly and when it showed up, it was warm, except for the rice, which was very, very cold surprisingly. they didn't include any napkins or utensils. Since since I'm staying in a hotel, I kind of had to eat out of the bag , which I have no problem with. I got the snow crab cluster with one corn, one potato, and I added an egg, plus of course, a side of rice. Everything was cooked really nicely and the crab cracks great. The huge downfall for me was the sauce .... I'm not sure how other people like it, or if my order was the only one that ended up like this, but the sauce was very sickly sweet, had an odd smell, and it wasn't butter?....It was just pure oil which started to harden on the top. They didn't include gloves, and the oil actually stained my nails, which I just got done. The smell wouldn't come out of my hands for hours, no matter how much I washed. I've had many many crab boils, and I eat them a lot, I've never tasted a sauce like this, or one that was just pure oil with no butter. I really didn't want to waste the food, so I did my best not to let the oil touch the crab, and plugged my nose and just powered through it. I'm very curious if this was just a mess up, or if this is how they make all their boils, and it's just really not my style. ‍‍

The food was less than. I ordered the family on NYs Day through DD. The lack of sauce was mind blowing. Literally had to left all the food and scrap the bottom for sauce. I only gave them a 2 star because the level of spice was perfect. Other than that, no, never again for that price. The Luscious Crab has the same menu item for less! First and last time at KC, very disappointed!

Always drove by this place and finally a chance to try it out. It is metered street parking. The restaurant is pretty much self-serve everything. You order first at the register then they will seat you. When we got there, there was a line and waitlist. We only had to wait about 15 minutes on a Saturday, which wasn't bad. After ordering, it took about 15-20 minutes until our food came out. They have a self-serve table at the entrance. Here you can find water, sauces, bibs, plates, napkins, utensils, and togo boxes. Most tables do have a sauces rack. People who order Togo can grab everything they need here. They do have gloves but the waiter has to bring it. They do not have any crab crackers here but they give u a scissors to cut the claws if needed. Since it was our first time here we decided to share. They do have individual and combo platters. We went with individuals. For every 1 Lb or seafood, it does come with 1 corn and 1 potato. The sauce for the seafood is typical of any seafood broil. Seafood broil- we ordered 1 lb of head of shrimp and 1 lbs of crawfish. This was cooked in the house mixed (everything thing in it) at mild spicy. We ordered 2 clusters of snow crab legs in house sauce with medium spicy. The spicy level was not really spicy for mild or medium. Thought bf would not be able to tolerate medium so we got medium for 1 bag but it wasn't bad. Some places medium can be really spicy. They do have regular hot sauce on the side to dip if needed. 3.5/5 I really like that this place leave the seafood in a bag which I prefer over in a plate like some other places. I feel like it keeps the flavor in. However, I don't like that there was not enough sauce in the bag. I wish they really drenched the bag. So it was a little disappointing. Got an order of Cajun fries. I've have a fair share of Cajun fries from seafood broil and this definitely did not taste like the typical Cajun fries. Nothing about it was Cajun. Tasted like fries with some seasoning on it. It was crunchy and sauce was good. 2/5. Overall not a wow experience for me. The seafood was normal. Nothing really special. Sauce was ok. Probably had better sauces at our places. Everyone was nice and helpful here. May come back Tuesday-Thursday to try their combo platter special. Seems like a great deal though!

My first experience here was amazing! They have really good prices for the food. It was affordable and full of flavor. I am most definitely coming back soon!

This place is one of my favs. If I could eat seafood boil everyday, I would be here. The decorations are fun to look at and their sauces are amazing! The last time I visited, I ordered combo 1 with the King Cajun sauce (mild) and a side of rice. I believe it came with 1/2lb peeled shrimp, 2 corns, 2 or 3 potatoes, 1 sausage, and 1 egg. I'm also in love with their fried calamari and the sauce that comes with it--the portion could be so much bigger though. Thien fries are so yummy as well!! They do have more menu items that I would like to try such as their po'boys and catfish. The service has always been great in my experience. You order at the counter and typically you can seat yourself at an unreserved table. Parking can be a pain if you're trying to street park in front of the restaurant. They have a parking lot, but on a busy day it might be hard to find a spot because it's shared by all the businesses there.

Went here for my birthday with some friends and the food was incredible. I don't know what it is about eating food with your hands, but the experience was so much fun. I tend to stay away from seafood in Minnesota, but this food was fire. I highly recommend checking this place out.

May not be a surprise but this place is obviously not Trans friendly. I'm not Transexual. I am intersex but I constantly get treated as if I am. The dude at the front was rude to me and polite to all the people around me. Whatever, the only difference is how we look. Bogus, that shit was definitely some subconscious hate and ruined my appetite. Music is pretty wack too I'm gonna be honest, but super dope that they do the whole overly expensive seafood for poor service and a trash can on your table. Definitely would not recommend for Queer people that are not passable by colonial standards.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time since discovering seafood boils and was absolutely disappointed. Surprisingly, they were open on Memorial Day and it wasn't too packed. The overall interior was clean, bright, and welcoming. But gave off high-school cafeteria vibes. We placed an ordered for a fried shrimp basket and also a seafood boil. The fried shrimp basket came quickly and was actually quite flavorful. I would rate it a 4/5. When the seafood boil came and they opened the bag, all I could smell was garlic. There was so much garlic it was practically not edible. Each bite was filled with chunks of garlic. It was excessive and overpowering. You couldn't taste anything else. I'd rate the boil a 1/5. I was so disappointed by this and most likely would not go here for a seafood boil, but would absolutely go back for their fried baskets.

King Cajun is the place if you're craving seafood! The establishment was clean and we appreciated the "help yourself station" for anything you'd need for a great boil experience. You'll find tons of great options on the menu - however it is a bit pricier than other seafood boil places. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Although the space is small, it is very family friendly. We look forward to dining here again!

Hands down, King Cajun makes the BEST Cajun sauce! You won't be disappointed! Staff is friendly and the place looks very clean and neat, even the BATHROOMS! Will definitely go back again!

Ok, yes, I was that person. I was the person who ordered seafood via Door Dash and stunk up someone's car. Well, I stunk up their car with a build your own boil with green mussels, black mussels, head on shrimp, and Jonah crab claws. There were a good portion of complimentary corn and potatoes as well. Their house sauce was amazing. So garlicky and full of flavor. All the seafood was fine except for the Jonah crab claws. The meat was yellow and had such a weird texture I almost think they went bad, but I'm not sure. So, I didn't eat them and everything else was great. I never got sick. I was pleasantly surprised by this Door Dash order and will definitely be ordering again!

First time here. My church members invited my family and I. So it was a big group of about 12 people. We order the family special (one spicy and non spicy). Customer service wasn't good to start off with. Thank God for remind me to keep my cool. I usually don't get mad easy but it's always a long Sunday. We had an employee name Kim; her tone of voice wasn't nice. She acted like she didn't want to deal with a big group today. It has only been 1:30pm. I'm saying because Sunday is always a busy day for my husband and I. But I won't be giving anyone attitude just because it been a long half day. Another employee name Jenny came in to help and take over. She was so sweet and kind. It made my first time experience at this place better. Food was good and Jenny made it better. Another employee name Saruda took our order. She was so patient; as it was our first time. I enjoy her calm attitude. If I came back again I only hope to get them again not Kim.

A lot of people recommended this place to and happy they did! Price was pretty good and the portions were huge! We got the two lobster tails (26.99) and combo meal for two (59.99). Everything was brought out on one big plate. We got our seafood in house special sauce medium spice and the sauce was so flavorful, but would go up another level of spice. The seafood was perfectly cooked, hate it when seafood is over cooked and they did not overcook anything. The place was super clean. Fun fact, this place is Vietnamese owned and the owner was so nice as well as the staff.

This is a heck of a place to go! The initial setting of restaurant is different where you order at the cashier. Then you are seated with bottle of waters and your equipment to eat your meal. The food comes out 10-15 minutes after we were seated. It was very good flavor. We also ordered a side order of rice and garlic bread. The rice was sooo good. Highly recommend using the rice at the end either sauce! Overall great meal!!!

After several months of wanting to try this place, we finally decided to dine-in here. The restaurant is clean and has a fairly open layout. Everything is self-service, which I think is great. The employees were friendly and quick to provide service. We ordered 3lbs I'd crawfish and 1lb of shelled shrimp with head on. We chose the house sauce for both. To our surprise, the crawfish were HUGE and very meaty, which is a plus. The shrimp were pretty normal sized for seafood boils. The seafood itself was good, however, we were super disappointed in the house sauce. As we took the first bite of seafood boil, my husband and I both looked at each other in disappointment. The sauce was very bland and tasted almost watered down. The sauce and seafood were not seasoned well. Typically, corn soaks up the sauce, but even the corn tasted extremely bland. I dont know if we maybe just got a bad batch, but we were highly disappointed. Not sure if we will return to try again.

Having been to many of the Seafood Boil resturants in the Twin Cities King Cajun definitely finds itself highly rated on the list! The quality and quantity of seafood for the price is on point the seafood was perfectly cooked the snow crab was easy to crack and the meat was super tender and flavorful. They offer a wide array of sauces, we tried the King Cajun, which is a mix of all the sauces together and had a great amount of flavor going on. The potatoes, corn and sausage were all tasty and well cooked. While they might not be the cheapest Boil spot around you certainly get what you paid for at King Cajun. We will be back ready to stuff ourselves with more delicious seafood!

My company spent over $100 with them & they missed some of our order so we called back, they acted like they didn't believe we had missed items we asked for a manager they said they weren't available & left our number. Still haven't heard back, WILL NOT BE ORDERING HERE AGAIN.

Customer service is great! Super nice workers and the chef even came out to check on us. Everything is nice and clean. The food came out fast in less than 10 mins. Food is bomb, must try the kings fries! Absolutely recommend!

Crawfish size is solid and enormous! Ordered takeout, make sure to double check your add ons are included at pickup. I wish the consistency of the shrimp size were all the same. The gumbo had mini shrimps. We all love a good crisp corn included! If you go during busy hours be prepared to circle the area a couple times for parking. This area has other popular businesses around.

I will absolutely be back! This was the best seafood with a cajun flair that I have had in the metro area. My date and I ordered the Meal #3 and it was perfect for the two of us! I love the many options, the fresh seafood, and the excellent taste of their house mix sauce. Lastly, this place ensures their guests can get down and messy if need be - they provide bibs, gloves, lots of napkins and more. Can't wait to eat at King Cajun again!

What a restaurant. All the staffs are friendly and professional. Foods are delivered at a timely manner. Delicious, although I can tell that not every item is fresh, but it is still delicious. Destroyed the crab fried rice!

This place is awesome! We got 1 lbs of crawfish, extra spicy with the king cajun seasoning(my favorite) and then the other one was the $22 plater. Honestly it is top notch seafood boil in minnesota!! the inside was clean and they have everything you need to get down! Although street parking was limited you will have to park in the neighborhoods and walk. No reservations unless more than 5 people as well. Place is nice, friendly, and helpful !

Pretty good cajun - could use a bit more heat and seasoning for my taste, but all in all solid. Had the catfish sandwich - basically reminiscent of a po'boy - and the dozen shrimp, both of which were scrumptious if not mind blowing. Recommend for when you have the cajun craving!

I was sooo sad when their old location closed down cuz it building got burned (Thien's Cajun) but they reopen as King Cajun and it is awesome! new location is beautiful, i love the bright colors! nice and clean space Friendly workers! easy online ordering I LOVE the seafood, build your own. the chef's special sauce is so good and you can choose your spice level, i prefer it spicy! ALSO YOU HAVE to get the THIEN's FRIES!! Thien's fries are amazing omg. they are sooo good, i always get my own order of fries all for myself. I love them owned by a super cool vietnamese guy! they should add some specialty vietnamese dishes to the menu Lol so happy to have them reopened yeah!

As a Southern Californian living in the Midwest, I missed Boiling Crab/Kicking Crab/cajun-style seafood and I can honestly this is what I was looking for. We stumbled on this place as we were driving by and I'm so glad we did, Thein and his brother are doing things right. 200% recommend! Spice levels on the King Cajun sauce are spot on, even as the sauce gets spicier it's full of flavor not just spicy. I eat a lot of spice so we got Hot and that had an after kick of spice not too bad, second order we got side of Super Hot sauce and that was make ur lips red/breathe through your mouth spicy but still SUPER tasty. Shrimp is cooked well, not mushy, not overcooked, Dungeness Crab portion was generous and delicious. Corn was fresh, and andouille sausage was flavorful! Staff is super attentive, they diligently spend down time deep cleaning empty tables, condiments, even wiping down the walls. Overall, will definitely be back and recommend you check it out!

Can't comment on the food. Got ripped off by them and Uber eats. Had to change the address less than one minute after ordering and wasn't able to and got fully charged since they "accepted". So no food and out the cash.

So delicious, can't wait to come back! Called to put in a takeout order around 11:05 and it was ready and waiting for me by 11:20. The house mix sauce is delicious-not too salty or garlic-y and the shrimp, corn, and potatoes was cooked perfectly.

Place looks like a dump from the outside and the seating is cramped inside. But the food is VERY good. If you do t like sitting next to strangers, get it to go!

I've been waiting for a chance to visit and tonight was it. Celebrating my granddaughter's birthday. From the pictures online the place looks so much bigger. But still has enough seating for a nice crowd. Only not sure if they could handle a full house. We tried quite a few of the fried appetizers and all were very good. Very good calamari and Gator. Excellent Catfish. Good shrimp balls. But the Hush puppies were lacking in taste. All with very good dipping sauce. They were out of a good number of them. They were also out of my of the pop. All they had was diet Mt Dew and diet Pepsi. They also had Sprite. And water. Because of the kids our seafood wasn't very spicy. Also most of the Boil was a bit overcooked. And that was very disappointing. There was a good quantity of food. Service was excellent. And even with only one person doing ALL the cooking and one bussing and the one taking orders the food did come out in a timely manner. Will I return. I'd like to. I hate that I love food and have had some outstanding Boils in Charlotte so I may be a little picky here. I do recommend this place.

For as much as they charge you they don't give you enough and make sure you don't get it to go for chrissakes they put it in a trash bag if I wanted slop in a bag I would've went to McDonald's Way too much money for what offering quantity wise
