We are from Texas, currently living on the East Coast (deprived of our beloved breakfast tacos). These tacos- and queso & salsa- were the perfect taste of home I was hoping for!! They nailed it and I couldn’t believe they had my favorite taco (bean, cheese, potato & egg- the “Queen Bean”). Shane was so hospitable and kind too! Everything was absolutely incredible and we will be back as soon as possible. Way to go, y’all! And THANK YOU!!! 🌮🌮🌮

Google
Delicious breakfast tacos. For vegan/vegetarians, the "No. 5" taco on their menu is great. Their green sauce goes well with it. They also deliver cold tacos which you can heat up at home. Their vegan and vegetarian signs are mixed up though. v means vegetarian and vg means vegan here.

Holy Mamcita! I have been craving some breakfast Tacos and low and behold a shining beacon of migas and bacon emanating from Madison Square Park. My taste buds be still. A lil slice of Texas right here in snow covered Gotham. 🙌🙏 Ordered the No. 5, BPEC, and Mama's Migas, mouthgasmed myself, took a nap. Life is good. Thank you King David.

Google
It's a fun place with some variety of tacos. They are NOT made on site. They were breakfast tacos mostly with potato and eggs, some meat options are present.

Google
Pollo verde is misleading- not sure what kind of gringo name that is. I think they use canola oil, as I got a tummy ache right after eating. So it’s nice to have quality eggs but everything is questionable

Vegan taco was fantastic and horchata was not too sweet. Bonus points for direct view of the dog park.

Google
The tacos hit the brekky spot but they were nothing special. The queen bean one lacked flavour, perhaps some salt would have helped.

Everything is excellent here! You can't go wrong with any of the tacos or salsas. If you're in Madison Park, grab some!

Yelp
I confess this is not an equal replacement for my Tex Mex breakfast/general taco loves and desires. But this does remind me enough of the general gist without upsetting me that I'm all about this taco truck which typically I cannot enjoy much due to its location within the northwest corner of Madison Square Park and the hours. It's not really on my way to work but I found it one day on a day off where I actually made it to the portable stand before they closed. People who don't really miss tacos may not understand or appreciate this taco which is made in a kitchen and brought to eat during the early morning hours before 10. I managed to try this again in the taco drop option for the new normal that is 2020. They included several options of which I truly enjoyed the breakfast and the bean tacos the best. Reheating instructions included. The flour taco gives me slight H.E.B. Vibes which makes me just miss those fresh tortillas and fresh tortilla smells. No this is not that Cali taco truck taco either. This is the NYC attempts at classic Texan breakfast taco tradition similar to those egg and cheeses on a roll that I devoured in my assimilation to NYC. And I'm all about it. Next try is Queso!

Yelp
Went there this morning based on a text from The Nudge. Firstly, no line. That was amazing. I was in and out in 2 mins. Team was super nice and helpful. Got the mama's migas and it was DELICIOUS. TOP 2 BREAKFAST TACO. The salsa that came with it was also great -- spicy and flavorful. The eggs and cheese were perfect and the tortilla was great. Jalapeños has a nice kick. Would say that one taco is a light snack, two is a snack, and you'd need 3-4 for a meal. Will be coming back again soon!

Yelp
Wow. I have never paid so much for so little food in my life...and I've lived in NYC for over 30 years and traveled to some of the most expensive cities on Earth. We got two "tacos" that fit in the palm of my partner's hand for $12, which included an 18% tip that I added in the split second I thought the food was actually being prepared by someone in the truck. Apparently it's pre-made and loaded on to the truck each morning. Not fresh, not hot, and not all that tasty. At least the guy was friendly. That's the only reason I'm giving this place two stars versus one. So it's not the tip I regret so much as the purchase. How do they get any repeat business? I don't get it.

Yelp
I'm giving this 3 stars because I really want this to get better and succeed. I'm shocked that NYC doesn't have more people trying to do this and I REALLY miss texas breakfast tacos. If someone was able to actually match the quality of a texas breakfast taco, it would be a total hit. Unfortunately, this place really misses the mark. These tacos are incredibly small for the price and I'm not convinced that the cost saving measure isn't costing more in the long run in the form of people not feeling like they got their moneys worth. The tortillas were close for NYC standards but really not very good, potatoes were not good and had no seasoning, the chorizo had hardly any flavor and the salsa didn't even seem like salsa, it reminded me more of a chimichurri sauce which was really strange. I asked the guy if they had green and red and he said he put two in the bag but they were both green I hate to say that I will not be back anytime soon, but will keep in eye out in case they reformulate the tacos.

Yelp
Saw this little cart at the park and wondered why there's always a line for this cart and I see why now. The ingredients are fresh, hot and better than sitting down at a restaurant for an expensive breakfast. You experience this in all of that, but in in grab an go way. Wish they had more of these carts. Person managing the cart was so so nice and answered all my questions. If I definitely know That I'm going through Madison Square Park; this will be the breakfast spot.

Yelp
I'd give this no stars but bc you have to give a star in order to write a review I'm forced to give it 1 star. I tried 2- bacon one and a bean one. In terms of quality the beans were really watery and and the shell was hard Ish even though it's supposed to be flour. Overall. Way better taco spots in the city plus it all seemed a bit unsanitary.

Yelp
So I was really excited to try King David Tacos. Everything I've heard is that the best Mexican and Tex-Mex food to be had in this country is down in Austin, so when I heard KDT opened nearby in Madison Square Park I was stoked. Manhattan is very much lacking a solid breakfast taco. And that's exactly what you're going to get here. The breakfast tacos are definitely solid. Now it should be noted, for the uninitiated, that these are flour tortillas and are premade as the cart obviously does not have a grill. These obviously leads to the common pitfalls of making things premade. They are good, but with as will all flour tortillas, they get that oddly sticky but not wet feeling that comes from the steam being trapped in the aluminum foil. Is it ideal? No. Is it still the best in the area? Yeah, I think so. Bonuses: they do a punch card system and do take credit cards. Also, they're a little hard to find. They're actually INSIDE the park a little from the northwest entrance.

Yelp
These are decent, in that they have fresh ingredients and each one is prepared very nicely and with great flavor. My only issue is that each taco is mostly egg, with a little of whatever meat you choose, and at the end of the day, doesn't feel like it's worth the asking price. With so much good Mexican food popping up in the area as competition, I might consider other places if you're looking for something more authentic.
