The Quick (a few words): King Jerk Food Truck is delicious, Jamaican/Caribbean-inspired, and located in North Miami. I ordered the Rib Lunch (Ribs, Cabbage, Red Beans, and Rice) and the Curry Chicken (Yellow Curry/Curry Chicken with Red Beans and Cabbage). The portions were great, and I will definitely be back. The Dirty (a bunch of words): Look. This is food is better than good. The ribs were tender and juicy, but not soft. The sauces are perfect pairings and fully seasoned. Nothing watered down about King Jerk Food Truck at all. Their flavors are delicious. The plates are as beautiful as their service and accents. I was immediately happy I chose to eat here because of how I was greeted. I’d tried to make it here twice before and arrived just in time to see them putting away the clean dishes around 9:40pm both times. My mouth had watered ever since. When I finally got them ribs y’all. I couldn’t help but sing Montell Jordan, “This is how we do it.” I smacked my lips and laughed out loud. I'd needed this so bad. 🤤. I didn’t even tell my landlord about his plate. I ate the chicken too. 😂🤦‍♀️. And mannnnnn. You have to eat here. That’s all. 🏃🏾

Best Jamaican food in miami! The jerk chicken is my favorite with Rice and cabbage. Lunch specials under 12$. Great portion and freshness!!

10 out of 10 small jerk chicken rice and peas with gravy and cabbage. My lord I never knew a meal could bless me so much. These people deserve to be open for ever. Everyone needs to taste this! Go and get it!

I always drove by this place and decided give it a try. It did not disappoint as the food was well prepared and delicious. The jerk chicken and ribs, lunch specials were some best food I had in Miami. Highly recommended.

I ordered an oxtail plate as you can see from the receipt and look at what i received! a mf plate full of meat. now who realistically wants a plate full of meat instead of a plate with 2 sides. and yall dont want to answer the phone. the plate aint nothing but bone and fat. it would b zero stars if i could. but i will b disputing with my bank. thank you for nothing mwah!

The ribs had no kind ok smoke taste and seasoning . The BBQ sauce was awful as well. I know they could have done better than that .OnMemorial Day no grill ribs

The food was very delicious. It was delivered hot, fresh and on time. My first time trying this restaurant and I’m very satisfied, also the portions are huge which is also great. I recommend giving establishment a try. 😋

King jerk has some of the best food and great prices. Jay the owner has be around for a long time. The quality & portions of the food can't get any better. Everyone can come here & enjoy Caribbean food.

They have great two for one deals on in E eats but sometimes the oxtails are too fatty and the jerk chicken is burnt. Oxtails have a great flavor to them but with all the fat I'm not sure how they clean them.

Best Jamaican food in Miami PERIOD. Please understand that. They're also soooo friendly :) Oxtail & jerk chicken rice n peas plantain is my Go To the flavors are bold! Prices are expected for the amount of food given & they sell some of the best sugar cane 10/10

Stumbled on this and thank god we did! There was a little line but the staff was fast and we got to the front in less then 5mins, we ordered a regular pork jerk and a regular brisket both with rice beans and cabbage sos for the spicy sauce. Let me telllll you don't sleep if you are by this area. The staff was friendly and quick and the food was delicious!! The pork was juicy and yummy the rice was so tasty, the cabbbbage was lovely it had all the flavors in there! The best part was the food wasn't omg unbearable spicy, it was a tasteful spice which was reallly pleasant. The price is right and the food is divine. For those two meals we paid $50 plus two waters and a ginger ale. We also shared between 3 people!! My only wish is that this gets recognized and gets to open up in other neighborhoods bc it's worth every single dollar and worth a try!!

I called before placing a delivery order and they had everything in stock on a Sunday evening which was pretty exciting!! Service was quick too! Smoked meat = amazing! They truly know how to smoke all different kinds of meat and you feel like you're at the yard in Jamaica, first bite. From first to last in my opinion: 1: Oxtails rice and peas and steamed cabbage- fire, flavorful, spicy but tolerable. If you are eating at a Jamaican restaurant prepare for spice! Everything was perfectly prepared! 2: Brisket - tender, juicy, lean and fatty burnt ends and all. Perfectly cooked and pairs well with their side of bbq sauce and large portion!6 3: Jerk Chicken, sweet potatoes and collard greens. Ok, so I could of passed on this entire plate. Unfortunately the chicken was dried out but edible, and the best part of the plate. The collards were flavorless but had a lot of cayenne pepper on them and 2 slices of sweet potatoes were just boiled and no flavor. 4: mac and cheese. Dried out unfortunately, very hard to find a good moist Mac at bbq spots but it def needs love. (Heavy cream or condensed milk will do the trick!) Overall I will order again, but stick to the oxtails and brisket for now!

I've been coming here since I was a child and this is my first review for this place. If you want THE BEST BBQ in south Florida. Come to King Jerk or like how I use to call it "the red food truck" lol. The owner is super friendly and nice and has great recommendations for your taste buds. His ribs are sooooo good and the jerk pork is extremely well seasoned. His Caribbean peas and rice is a great pairing with the bbq and if that's not what your craving, his oxtails are amazing too. You guys so definitely try it here. I know I'll definitely be back.

The food was tasty. I ordered the Mac and Cheese which was plentiful and delicious. I also the tried the Jerk chicken which was seasoned but not overly spicy but it had a lil kick. Overall the food truck was clean and the attendants were very courteous.

My wife and I have been patrons for several years, since long before they expanded their grill and moved to the new lot. Over the years their food has been absolutely consistent. Our favorite dishes are the jerk chicken and pork ribs. Char smoked to perfection, the meat is always tender and falling off the bone. Our sides of choice are the rice and peas and the macaroni. I'm also a big fan of the greens, but they don't always have them. It's impressive how the owners persevere despite hardships of theft and fire to their equipment and truck. They always bounce back better than before. We know The man who built their grills ... BVGrills, and we were so impressed that we had a small one custom built for home. It sure is faster and easier to pick up dinner from King Jerk though!

Great food truck, probably the best tasting Jamaican food in Miami & I mean that! The owner is always a joy to see, makes you feel welcome at all times. Also has his family working with him majority of the time & they bring the same vibes. The food is cooked with LOVE & you can tell. The jerk chicken is to die for, along with the homemade natural juices.

I should have checked my food before I left this location. We used to go here at least weekly after work, but since COVID I had not been. I decided to stop by and get me some chicken and ribs and the ribs which were under the chicken was burnt to the point I could not eat them. The chicken was just smoked, no flavor at all, I started to season the chicken and place in the oven, but I opted for the garbage for both the chicken and the ribs. Not in a hurry to go back.

All this place needs is its' own restaurant with great staff to become 5 stars. The food is the bomb! Flavor in every bite of meat so if you live bbq and jerk flavored food this is the spot! The smoked flavor on the meat is amazing too. Huge portion sizes too and budget friendly! I ordered the large jerk chicken plate with Mac n cheese, and jerk chicken rice $17 which came with enough food for 2 people. Great deal. I could really see high demand for this establishment if it evolves from a food truck to a restaurant. I look forward to ordering from here a lot more

Absolutely delicious Jamaican food! Been around since 1996. There's usually a line but the service is very fast. The rice and peas, jerk chicken, barbecue pork are amazing. I love coming here and ordering a whole bunch of food for the family. Service is great and everyone is friendly. no complaints!

This is a red food "trailer" parked behind the tire shop at NW 136 st and 7th ave facing 136 st. It has been there for years. Good variety of food and sides. Prices are reasonable for the portions. I asked what style of ribs they use and was told full size pork spare ribs. I don't like ribs or chicken cleaver chopped as most take out places do. You can get bone chips in the meat. My order: 5 ribs with mac & cheese and potato salad. $12. Good price. Had to season the salad but mac was ok. The ribs had a good flavor but were over cooked, very charred and dried out. Too bad. They could have been very good. Probably go back since they are close to home.

This place has certainly changed over the years and the customer service I received tonight was subpar. It pains me to leave this review because I used to enjoy this place and just referred this place someone about a week ago. I used to come here and get a nice seized platter of meat. Just meat. Now it seems everything is a dinner. You have to get the two sides and if you don't it's still the same price. And I know they still do it for some because my friend guy comes here often and get the platter of meat. However when I asked, "We don't do that." I asked for my sauce to be on the side. "We don't have any containers." Things happen. I get it. You run out of stuff. I used to work in a similar establishment. However, the delivery. It's as if he wanted nothing more than to just be left alone. The young lady that's usually in the front must've left to go somewhere so he was in charge of taking orders and fixing plates. I got the ribs and chicken dinner. Tonight the meat was not seasoned like it typically is. It tasted like grilled meat and nothing more. Not what I was expecting. I hope that tonight it was just an off night and this isn't business moving forward.

I have been wanting to try & so glad I finally did. There located behind a old gas station, a big food truck barbecue drum, the great smells is mouth watering. I wish I would've gotten the lady's name who took my order she could not have been more helpful sweet and kind ! and I'm telling you my order was perfect! I got two orders of the chicken and rib combo, they were outta the pork which I bet was delicious, they come with a side of (, lots to choose from )but I got these sides, baked beans , collard's & macaroni and cheese, first let's start with the chicken and ribs, omg!!!! Fall of the bone, tender, so much flavor, real down home cooking, low & slow, The sides were good, collards were fresh, not soggy , , I say, stop on by , there was a line but it moves fast, You could tell lots of regulars, I found my new barbecue spot and who knew they were open everyday, see pics forti e and menu , oh so much food in each order, plent for tomorrow

The business catered our condo's party and it was GREAT. Highly recommend by the way. It was so good that we wanted to check out his extensive menu at the food truck. We were not disappointed! The portions are very large so it's definitely a move! The brisket and jerk chicken were full of flavor. The sauce they have is a great complement but it doesn't need it. Mac n cheese and rice and beans were amazing. Do yourself a service and check it out.

Terrible customer service. They gave me the wrong food and when I complained they basically said "oh well" and did nothing to correct the problem, including offering a refund to providing the correct item.

never tried ANY caribbean style food & let me tell you the jerk chicken was to die for! the chicken seasoning was perfect & the sauce that it came with had a nice little kick super friendly and informative staff. prices were great! service was amazing.

I've been going to King Jerk for years. He has the best jerk chicken I've ever had. The ribs and pork are good as well. The portion sizes are good and sauces are bomb. I also enjoy the brown stew chicken and curry chicken as well. The cabbage is consistently good. The seasoning on the rice and peas varies and the oxtail taste has varied as well.

there is no way to explain the magic this gentleman does with the grill. Flavor perfect, texture perfect, portion perfect, side options great. This is legit chicken at great price.

I ordered from them via Uber eats. The food was hot and fresh and really tasty I had the rib/ chicken dinner with peas and rice and macaroni salad. I didn't like the macaroni salad but that's on me I thought it was going to be tuna macaroni salad. The ribs and chicken were seasoned so well the meat was falling of the bone it was so good there was no need for bbq sauce.
