King of Fire Pizza - Uptown Charlotte

I’ve lived in Charlotte for 5 years, and I’ve had decent pizza! But it’s hard to come across wood fire pizza. My boyfriend loves wood fire and I thought hey, let’s give them a try! This is what we got… pretty self explanatory. BURT TO A CRISP, HARD AS A ROCK! NEVER AGAIN! :( We couldn’t even scrape the bottom of it off to eat it! :(((((((

Good oven fired pizzas. We've tried the Honey Pie, New Yorker & Cal Italia. Normally we order from the food truck, but this was my first time to the restaurant. Service has always been friendly and pizzas are made quickly. Today it was ready in about 10 min despite me ordering during a rush. Perfect for a quick lunch across from the Convention Center. On the pricier side for a 10" pizza. especially when ordering for a family.

Amazing pizzas. When you read the menu, you think you know what you want until you read the next one. Then the next one. It's considerably difficult to choose one. Every one we had was so good. Salads were very large. Super friendly staff. Great place to pop in.

The King of Fire exceeded my expectations! Located right in Uptown Charlotte, the spot is in a perfect location. The ambiance is casual and welcoming—great for both groups and solo diners, with a few outdoor seating options as well. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered the meat lover style pizza along with a side salad. Heads up, the side salad is huge and definitely sharable! The pizza itself was excellent—lots of flavor from the meats and a perfectly baked soft crust. Overall, this place was a hit during my visit to Charlotte. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving quality pizza!

100/10 pizza!!! we got the new yorker subbed the sausage for bacon. The crust is absolutely perfection thin and chewy & the ricotta added the perfect creamy texture!! good service & did not wait long, but you could tell it was fresh! chill atmosphere & good seating options. could fill up if busy. would absolutely recommend!!

They have standrad pizza options and normally when there are many orders you need to wait. The dough and ingredients are fresh. But being a wood fored pizza, the crusts are normally burnt out. And its drier than other comparatively similar wood fired pizza options. The portion sizes are enough for a person and they sell sauce on the side of you prefer that option.

We had their pizza truck/oven come cater a wedding in Hendersonville and absolutely loved it. Having the pizza and appetizers cooked on site added another level to the overall experience. The pizza was light, fresh and tasted great. The service could not have been better. I highly recommend this group for your next event.

First off. We had Zane help us out with our wedding tasting and we felt super welcomed and loved every bite he made for us! We asked if he was able to, to be our wedding person too day of and he was! We were so excited to see him, and as expected, everyone DESTROYED every bite of the garlic knots and pizza. I’m so glad they had pizza on the side for us. Zane is literally the best, and King of Fire overall was super easy to work with and communicate with! They were amazing. We had some last minute requests and changes, and they rolled with it, no big deal. They are seriously the best caterers and I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you for everything!!!

Greetings went well. I'm a visitor from up north! Pizza prepared as ordered Enjoyed a few slices and saved the rest to enjoy later! Not overly cheesy but was good cheese and not greasy! Enjoyed!

We just had a chance to check out King of Fire pizza in Charlotte, and we had a nice time! There was certainly the standard amount of menu items to choose from, including the regular pizza flavors and toppings so that was nice. However, I'm not sure if it was just when we went, because it was a touch busy, but the pizza didn't have a whole lot of cheese, and the service was a bit slow. For the price and lack of seating, we would've enjoyed a hearty amount of cheese on the pizza which just wasn't there, especially for the price. Perhaps you'll enjoy if you stop by!

My fav uptown pizza spot and its steps from my office. This spot is consistent and it's been fun seeing them grow from a food truck during the pandemic , serving families in the various fort mill neighborhoods to brick and mortar, competing for taste buds across the city. Outstanding pizza!! Crust was perfectly charred and thin and the honey/pepperoni was delicious! Garlic knots & salad were both good and great portions!! Quick delivery to area hotel made for a great dinner!!

We had the catering at a wedding and by golly the pepperoni crushed pepper and honey was amazing. There was a constant line waiting for more to come out which spoke to how great this pizza is.

Solid pizza! Love the thin crust of this pie, perfectly charred and freshly baked. I am a big fan of the small pepperonis and personally think it elevates a classic pepperoni pizza. It was $13 for a 10" pizza, which I don't mind for a singular person; especially for a wood-fire pizza. Would consider ordering from them again.

I checked this place out during lunch. The pizza was just the right size and tasted good. The service was fast and served hot. The ambience is very casual. There is spacious seating inside. Great spot to grab a quick bite.

King of Fire has quickly become a top five pizza place for myself and my kids. We've been back several times and eaten our way across the menu with never a disappointment. The Honey Pie 2.0 is easily one of favorites and this is an easy rec if you're in Uptown and even if you're not.. its worth the trip. The service is always great and the space is always clean and inviting.

THE CRISPIEST CRUST IVE EVER HAD! Felt like a cracker at one point - so so yummy. the sweet honey and sweet marinara paired well with the salty bacon. expensive and a little small but delicious

Greeted upon entering, provided with bathroom code & received validated parking. Honey pie 2.0 & Italian salad were my favorites. Excalibur was satisfying although not something I'll reorder. Establishment was clean had a cool playlist.

If you like a thin and crunchy slice, this is the place for you. Being from NY, I'm definitely a hard critic so I will say I wish the sauce played a bigger role in this pie, it was more on the dry side! Seems like the pizza's are made to order which is cool. Overall, I did enjoy and the sausages were pretty tasty.

I never thought I'd like honey on my pizza! We walked passed this pizza shop and randomly decided to stop in. The lady at the register taking the orders was friendly and waited patiently as we figure out what we wanted to order. We ended up going with a small honey pizza. It came with pepperoni, honey, and crushed red pepper. Took about 10 minutes to make as it wasn't too busy in there. Once we got our pie we decided to just eat in the restaurant. The crust was crisp and flaky, the cheese pull was grand, and the toppings gave the perfect amount of sweet and savory. King of fire is a must if you're in the Charlotte area. Tucked into an area of shops and a nice walking area, kings is perfect for a family lunch/dinner outing or a romantic date.

Food Truck came to our neighborhood and lemme feel you!!! - - it was delicious! I don't like doughy pizza. I prefer fresh thin pizza. We ordered pepperoni with sausage and we ordered cheese with basil. OMG!! Ya'll* Go get one!! You won't be disappointed.

Surprisingly great pizza for a place that doesn't charge $30 a pie. The staff act like they actually want to be there -- shocking, I know. Grab a seat outside and enjoy pretending your life is together for 20 minutes.

Pizza's are good quality and reasonably priced in nice/upscale downtown neighborhood. The only downside was that there was no way to get a medium pizza - just 10 inch. Service was good. Will visit again if are nearby.

Pizza isn't nearly as good as what their mobile pizza once was. Their food quality isn't as good as it once was. The pizza is greasy and burned now.

Excellent pizza. Building your own is the way to go. Only thing missing is that they don't sell beer. Great stop for dinner before a Panther game.

Usually when a place first opens I tend to wait a little bit before trying it. This gives them a chance to iron out the kinks that usually occur when a opening a new restaurant. I made an exception for King of Fire! The location across from the Sandwich Club has seen some other businesses come and go and unfortunately had been unoccupied for quite some time. When I saw signage go up signaling the pending debut of King of Fire I was very optimistic, as I had heard great things about their food truck. Their 10" pies run around $15, and you have the option to build your own or to try one of their creations. I elected to go with the New Yorker which includes generous portions of sausage and pepperoni, along with beautiful little dollops of ricotta! It's a great looking pizza, that tastes even better. The bottom crust was cooked to perfection so there wasn't excessive flop and the ingredients didn't just slide right off. Easily one of my favorite pizzas I've had in a while.

Easy ordering quick service small intimate restaurant. Casual dining but always excellent pizza!

After visiting the Mint Museum with friends, we ate at King of fire pizzeria. My food was prepared by Adam and Corey they made suggestions based on my being from California (adding arugula, etc.). But it was their personality and their fun attitudes that was a topping of a deliciously crusty and flavorful pie. Thanks guys.

The pizza and garlic knots were delicious. And the service for takeout was speedy. Either get the hot honey or the side of honey for the pizza. Who knew honey could set these dishes off.

Wanted to try this, it looked amazing online! Went, paid for parking. Walked in started to order and the person said we could not eat there. Weird they have tables and food???? They said they were take out only and we could not sit at a table. It's 29 degrees, we wanted to eat there not take a pizza home and have to reheat. We were the only people there??? Say it on your website so I could not waste my time and money please! Owner responded his apologies and sent us a gift certificate. We tried it today and it was great! We had honey pie regular and the 2.0, hardy pickle,cannolis and house salad. Plenty of food! Delish. Pizza was really perfect. Dining room was busy, great atmosphere. Will definitely come again. Appreciated the response and so glad we gave it a try!

The King of Fire food truck has been at our apartment complex several times since we moved to Charlotte a few months ago. There's a reason there's a line formed as soon as they arrive (and we've seen a couple of folks on their 2nd round). Always delicious.

The pizza is outstanding. In town for a conference and found this place on Yelp. Glad we decided to go. I had the Hardy Pickle and my friend had the Cal Italia. Both were awesome. The staff inside were great. We also had the garlic knots and cannolis which were well worth it.

I absolutely love this pizza! This best pizza place is a food truck! You can find them all around town any local event. Trust me this pizza is with the $$$ and the wait!

Place was amazing, service was outstanding, they hooked me up on my birthday and pizza was great. Definitely recommend and need to try if in Charlotte. Place was clean and the location has great outdoor dining as well

The name sounds kinda like an Indian restaurant. The pizza is good. Loved the margherita. Great crust. Low key the best pizza in Uptown.

Great flavor, pizza crust is well cooked not soggy. Crust holds it form. The Margherita and Honey Pie are both favorites

Pizza was good recommend the sausage. Garlic knots not so much, hard as stones - literally crunchy.

Our order was a masterpiece, the ambiance was sophisticated yet welcoming, and the service was truly unmatched. Spending time here with loved ones was amazing.

Didn't realize that there is a brick and mortar for this place. The food truck comes to my neighborhood often and the pizza is already delicious. I love that I can order online and just pick up. We have to check out the ambiance of the dine in experience.

This is the one place that I can eat pizza and not feel gross after! They use quality ingredients. The crisp level of the dough is top notch, as well as the ratio of sauce/cheese. And super excited they are now on DoorDash and UberEats for dinner! The Honey Pie stole my heart but hoping to branch out and try another of their many pizza options

Wonderful service and really delicious, unique pizzas! It was fast too. There were five of us, and we got five pizzas, then rotated slices. We got the Si's Special, Honey Pie 2.0, Excalibur, Pickle, and Hawaii 5-0. The Pickle pizza was honestly probably the biggest hit! Closely followed by the Si's Special and Excalibur.

Nice spot for local pizza. Fast, friendly service along with a tasty pizza! Will go again when I'm back in town.

This place earns my sigma star but the pizza sauce is sweet for some reason which is kinda gross but I'll give an extra star since hmby nx t me was wasting the parmesan

Second visit wasn't as good as the first one but still solid pizza overall and highly recommended. The pizza is thinner, crispy crust which I really like but I don't recommend overloading it with multiple meat or other toppings that can cause the crust to lose its texture. I'll keep it simple next time.

Pizza is great, and I am very particular! We loved the honey pie and the one with arugula, can't wait to try the others.
