On the Grid : King of Pops

"Conceived by three brothers with a love of paletas, or Latin American ice pops, King of Pops quickly went from a small family business to carts, food trucks and farmers markets. The handmade frosty treats are wildly popular and the walk-up window is a welcome stop after a hot stroll along the Beltline. The King rules!" - Brand Bird

Popsicle Company Steel City Pops Leaving Decatur, Georgia, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"King of Pops, an Atlanta-based popsicle vendor, has been involved in a popsicle fracas with Steel City Pops over vending rights in downtown Decatur. King of Pops had been offering popsicles via a cart on the Decatur square until they lost access in 2018 under new street vending rules. They are now preparing to open a diner called Wonderkid at Atlanta Dairies, just down the street from Madison Yards." - Beth McKibben

Google
Great location in Inman Park with excellent Popsicles! This local, Atlanta business is a nice gem in the city. The location has tons of walking to enjoy, parks nearby, shopping, and you can find a Tiny Door 🚪here!

Google
For vegan, almost all their fruity pops are made with other sweeteners than honey (such as agave or maple syrup). Their flavors are really cool and surprising too, not just the usual dull ones. Had their cucumber and lime one (made with local cucumber) and gosh it was so yummy and refreshing! Their sweet peach is definitely a must too (you're in Georgia!). And it's cool to be just next to the beltline so you can enjoy your pop while walking up there!

Google
Always amazing pops and great staff. Popsicles are all-natural and in so many interesting flavors. I had the Thai Tea and it was amazing. Cannot wait to come back and have another. Did I mention it's right off the Beltline too!

Google
Love king of pops! This is a great place to go on a beautiful day outside. They have benches set up across from the window to eat at. Take the dogs with you also because they have pops for the dogs as well. My personal favorite is the key lime pie or cookies and cream.

Google
Love King of Pops and the great carts throughout the city! This excellent quality popsicles are either water-based or cream-based. The flavors are unique and change frequently. The prices are reasonable, so I highly recommend indulging when you see the cart!

Google
Love this place! Had the Banana Pudding and there was a vanilla wafer frozen in the middle of creamy deliciousness

Google
Love the pops! The pick up counter is great for grabbing a popsicle and they have a great selection of flavors! Nice access to the beltline. Ok parking options on the adjacent street. Cute little picnic tables with umbrellas to sit and enjoy.

This is becoming a regular stop each time I take my dog to Piedmont park. My dog love s her King of Pups cup, and I like to sample the unique flavors. I find something new to try each visit. Today it was Raspberry Rosewater. The recipes are very original, and I have never disliked a flavor, but it is good to know that if I did, they would like me change it up for something new.

Yelp
Pretty darn good popsicles! Overall we tried chocolate sea salt, blueberry lemonade and orange cream. The first two were great; the orange cream had a strange aftertaste. This is perfect for a hot summer day. Overall the price was fair, the service was quick and friendly, and I would recommend to anyone! If there's one thing I would suggest is while they have a large selection of popsicle cocktails (which is a brilliant idea) they should try adding some popsicle mocktail option. My son, not understanding that a cocktail was an adult drink, was let down by his inability to order one. But, it got me thinking to how wonderful rainbow sherbet and sprite actually is together, and how something like that could make a great concept even better. Anyways, just a thought if King of Pops actually reads these reviews!

Yelp
Every pop I've tried here has been so tasty! This was my first time trying the poptail and it was quite strong! Only qualm is that the wait was a bit long.

Yelp
This review is for King of Pops' walk-up window in Inman Park. It's conveniently located next to the Freedom Park Trail and the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. I've already reviewed a couple other King of Pops locations: the original cart spot at the corner of North Ave and North Highland (http://www.yelp.com/biz/king-of-pops-atlanta?hrid=t2sfJ4aVhMhxuzcGdVvS5g) and their cart spot at Decatur Square (http://www.yelp.com/biz/king-of-pops-decatur?hrid=YZB8FrsBu3gJkpT0xJKU1w). This was my first visit to their walk-up window. Since 2010, these guys have established themselves as the preeminent popsicle brand in Atlanta. They're popular and it's because their gourmet pops have creative flavors, using real, high-quality ingredients, that are consistently delicious. Along with this walk-up window, you can find King of Pops carts at various food truck parks, farmers markets, and festivals/events around town. In addition, King of Pops is carried by a growing number of metro Atlanta restaurants, cafes, and stores such as Willy's, Alon's, Octane, Fresh Market, and Whole Foods. For a complete list of locations, check out their web site at www.kingofpops.com. The address for the walk-up window says Elizabeth St, but the window is actually on Bernina Ave around the corner. Free street parking is available in the immediate area though spots are limited. I was told this is also where the King of Pops warehouse is. We stopped here on a Sunday evening and it was busy (the neighborhoods, Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward, were busy in general with people out on the trails, hanging out, and walking around). Across the street, there's a grassy area with picnic tables and they were all taken. In front of the window on the sidewalk were two blackboard menus, one for specials and one for the day's pops. The selection is always rotating with new and original flavors. Here's what was available during our visit: Fruit Pops: * Pomegranate Lemonade * Blueberry Lemonade * Blackberry Ginger Lemonade * Grapefruit Mint * Coconut Banana Orange Cream Pops: * Thai Iced Tea * Key Lime Pie * Orange Cream * Chocolate Sea Salt All pops were $3 each. They were also selling "Mystery Pops" for $2 each; probably inventory they were trying to get rid of. Along with pops, they sell ice cream for dogs ($3) and T-shirts ($15). Our group purchased a variety of pops. I had the Thai Iced Tea which was terrific. It tasted just like a sweet and creamy Thai iced tea. They got the flavor down great. The pop even had specks of black tea leaves in it. I also tried the Blackberry Ginger Lemonade and, before being told what flavor it was, could already tell there was ginger in it just by its strong taste. That pop was sharp, tart, and refreshing. One of my friends got a Coconut Banana Orange pop and when he took it out of the packaging, there were small patches of dark stuff on the tip. We showed it to the guy at the window and he apologized and gave my buddy a new Coconut Banana Orange that was not "contaminated." The employee said the dark stuff was probably basil leaves from another flavor that inadvertently mixed over during manufacturing. Not a big deal to us (I would've eaten that pop had it not been thrown away), but it's essentially cross-contamination which can be a serious issue. All pops are individually wrapped and the employees will snip the packaging open for you. Don't forget to grab napkins. The old brick building has a beautiful "Welcome to Inman Park" butterfly mural painted on it by @caveal.

Yelp
Delicious. The price has climbed since the last time I purchased but what hasn't. The treat was well received and very delicious. Sad I had to drive to Inman Park for the treat. No KOP in Clayton County.

Yelp
This brick and mortar location of King of Pops is located in Inman Park right off of the Atlanta BeltLine. They have their available flavors - separated by fruity and creamy - on a chalkboard sign propped up on the sidewalk outside of the window that you walk up to and order from. This spot has the largest variety of flavors of any of the King of Pops locations I've been to in Atlanta. They also sell King of Pops attire for those that want to sport their love of this Atlanta-based business. After ordering your pop for the traditional $3 each you can eat it outside the window on the wood/cinder block benches or go across the street towards the Beltline and Freedom Park Trail where they have a seating area setup. This seating area has picnic benches, their iconic rainbow umbrellas, and King of Pop coolers repurposed into flower beds. Every pop I've had has been consistently high quality and great taste. If you have a classic favorite, don't be afraid to branch out and try one of their more unique/limited time flavors. Stopping by this location over the 4th of July weekend revealed (to me) that they had Girl Scout Cookie flavored pops using tagalongs, do-si-dos, samoas, and thin mints.

Yelp
Refreshing. Tangy. Variety of flavors. Good price point. Great for hot spring and summer days!

Yelp
It's always a good time for King of Pops. My husband I spent a late morning walking the Beltline and we took a quick detour near Elizabeth St and came upon King of Pops' walk-up window. I never knew of this location or the window so it was a nobrainer to get one. I've had their other flavors at Whole Foods and from their carts many times so I was looking for something I haven't had: blueberry cobbler. This was creamy from Greek yogurt and had a perfect hint of cinnamon. I recommend coming here on a day of great weather since there are covered picnic tables with umbrellas. In fact, now that I know if this window, I'll probably make a point to grab a KOP Pops every time.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
The KOP walkup window is one of my favorite places in Inman Park. From the beautiful butterfly "Welcome to Inman Park" mural to the colorful tables and umbrellas to eat your pop on, you just can't be in a bad mood going to the walkup window. Now onto the pops! KOP has both fruit based pops and cream based pops. The fruit based pops are definitely more watery than the cream based. My personal preference is the cream based with Thai Iced Tea being my absolute favorite pop. However I did try a Raspberry Rosewater pop recently and it was pretty good! More raspberry flavor than rosewater though. Whether you choose to get cream based or fruit based, nothing is better than taking your pop and taking a walk down The Beltline! Hey fam! Do you 'gram? Follow @datethisplate for more reviews and plates you'll want to date!

Yelp
These pops be POPPIN'. Every weekend in June, Delta Amex card owners can get TWO pops FO' FREE! That's what I call Southern hospitality! So on a sunny Atlanta Saturday, my card-holding, frugal fam tracked down the cart in front of Ponce City Market and tried out the Chocolate Sea Salt & Blackberry Ginger Lemonade flavas. These were both delicious in completely different ways. The salty choc was creamy and indulgent whereas the blackberry had strong ginger notes (too much for my mom, just enough for this spicey root lover) and tasted like a juicy, refreshing cocktail. Sunday came around, which also happened to be Father's Day, so of course I had to take my pop for another pop! This time we hit up their Inman Park window and were greeted with a larger list of flavor options (including a $2 mystery offer which was very intriguing). My dad went for the coconut lemongrass, which was refreshing and had an icier consistency than expected, and I had the banana cinnamon which tasted like the banana breakfast milkshakes I used to devour as a child. Delicious nostalgia at its finest. The 4 pops I tasted (FO' FREE, THX DELTA!) were enough so that I won't even hesitate in buying one for $3 in the future. These pops taste fresh, aren't overly sweet, and combine ingredients in unique and tantalizing ways. They really are royalty!

Yelp
This was my first time having King of Pops, sorry to say it wasn't at the actual location but a remote set up to promote the new bikes in the Buckhead area. I'm so glad I finally got a chance to have one of these delicious popsicles. They had a variety of flavors but because chocolate is my thing I chose the salted chocolate. Can you say yummy? I will definitely be buying another one after I lose some much needed weight. Not sure when that will be but I may treat myself before then....who knows. If you have never tried these, I recommend you catch up to somebody who is selling them or go to a location. Definitely worth the wait!

Yelp
Oh King of Pops... you hit me in a soft spot. Not only did you fulfill all of my heart's desires with your Key Lime Pie popsicle but you also made me look cool. I mean what about a young lady walking with a King of Pops popsicle doesn't look hip??! This cute little hidden gem can be found in the Inman Park neighborhood. You order from a little walk up window where you kind of have to look down into what appears to be a basement. They have their flavors listed on the window outside and usually a very cool, super hip lady working at the window. (At least the few times I have been) If ever in the area it is one of those places you must stop! You won't regret it. Also, from what I read, they have FRESH fruit creations and you can never go wrong adding a serving of fruit to your diet. ;)

Yelp
It's honestly impossible to think of anything negative to say about King of Pops. Actually, there are none - at least with every encounter I've had. *Pop slingers: always friendly and approachable *Pops: try one and you'll understand the hype They've got tons of flavors and create new treats with the rotating seasons. The best part is that they use ingredients that are locally grown or made. I couldn't rave about KOP enough! With the walk-up window in particular, they've got treats for you, your friends, family, kids, partners, and your furry doggo. MY DOG PEOPLE, ARE YOU READING?! I brought my pup out on the beltline, Piedmont Park, and finally made our way out to this location to cool down. When we arrived, there were already a handful of other lucky dogs with their owners in line. KOP also has a water bowl out there for your pooch - thank you!! Ya just can't go wrong here!!
google avatar

Yelp
Pros: I can't get enough of these Thai tea popsicles. Ordered at the window, no line. Accepts credit cards. Cons: parked in a no parking zone.
google avatar

Audrica B.

Yelp
I hope someone will desire me the way I crave these Popsicles haha! Is it worth the money? Hell yes! I love the experimental ingredients infused in one bar! It's a party in my mouth when I treat myself to a popsicle. The texture is amazing, there's a flavor sensation in every bite, and it's local! I'm done, you need no more convincing. Oh, and try the Poptails too. They're better than any crafty, highbrow cocktail I've tasted. Thank me later, and you're welcome!
google avatar

Sophie K.

Yelp
Popsicles with creative, interesting, and delicious flavors. You can't go wrong! My favorite is the raspberry lime! I was a bit disappointed by the (lack of) flavor of the blood orange, but that's the only one I've tried I wasn't a big fan of. $3 for a popsicle seems a little pricey to me, but they are high quality and yummy. On a hot day it's definitely worth it!
google avatar

Pat C.

Yelp
Wowzier! These are the best pops ever! Made locally. Fresh. Delicious. Just the right flavor balance and sweetener. I have too many favorites to list.. some of the bars are creamy and others are juice based. Parking can be difficult at their home based shop.. but you can get pops at locations around the city. Check their website.
google avatar

Yelp
I stop by this place every time I'm walking along the beltline no matter what. Every time I visit, there's a new list of flavors, which never fail to disappoint me. Ever. Flavors are unique and original- definitely one of a kind which you can't find anywhere else. If you're driving by this place, there's a strip of street parking along the street; if you're biking, there's a little grass area you can leave your bike and benches where you can sit and cool off. There are a lot of great restaurants nearby (Victory sandwich bar, Fritti, etc. and Bartaco opening up soon!!!) where you can stop by before (or after) your pops.
google avatar

Ansley G.

Yelp
The cutest little popsicle shop! It's tucked down the hill on the back side of Victory Sandwich Bar facing the beltline! The popsicles are reasonably priced (about $2.50a pop) and they have the most unique flavors! My personal favorite is Chocolate Sea Salt. Their flavors vary by day and by season but they always have a great selection & even offer Pops for Pups!
google avatar

Lauren X.

Yelp
Stopped in while visiting to enjoy a blackberry, ginger lemonade. Wow! Total gold mine. Don't let this little artistic window fool you. Every flavor is on point. The cookies and cream have full-on whole cookies in them sourced locally from Holeman and Finch. Bonus, there's a "tiny door" at this location.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything that is right with this city and the Beltline Trail. KoP has a loyal if not cult following, one that I am proud to be a part of. This is the factory where all the magic is made (ie: company headquarters). Forget the convenience of the carts and take yourself back to an era where you actually went out to the creamery or soda joint. You feel like a kid again. This window is on the backside of the building, just steps away from the Freedom Parkway bridge over the Eastside Beltline Trail. It's so close to the skate park and everything else that it makes sense to seek it out. If you're driving, just head to the corner of Elizabeth Street and Bernina Ave. It's literally a window into the old factory, staffed by helpful Poppers who can be summoned with the bell if need be. Whether you are there to pickup your monthly subscription or enjoy one on the go, the painted Pop sign and Chalk Board let you know you have arrived (in life). Pops to the People

Yelp
Oh. My. Word. Cookies and Cream here means COOKIES AND CREAM! they don't skip on their all natural ingredients. These were a lovely treat from a co-worker and when I saw the list of flavors, I had to have the cookies and cream and in my head, it was going to be like the ice cream. Nope! So. Much. Better. It was like a chocolate chip cookie not an oreo one, it was pure bliss! And now that I am looking at all of their flavors on their site, oh MY! I need more in my life. I also have to visit the location as I had these delivered to me. I appreciate that they cater as well. These are a lovely treat, with so many options, that I know all would enjoy.

Yelp
Ahhhh King of Pops. What would the ATL do without you? This is a great location as it is right along the Beltline trail and an easy stop off for a frosty treat. A window on the side of the brick building on the corner of Bernina & Elizabeth Street - it's the headquarters, so you know the product is super fresh! Today, I went for the FREE KoP (thanks to Mail Chimp) and their special MC flavor, Chocolate Covered Banana. Wowza - there was a half of a banana frozen in the middle of the pop. Like I needed encouragement to love KoP. There was quite the line when I got there (the secret was out), and people were walking down from the Beltline, driving up from everywhere else and people were getting up from lunch at Pure, The Albert, etc. to come and get their KoP on. If you haven't tried them, make sure to keep your eyes peeled and try out KoP whenever you can. Their site is good about telling you where their carts will be (although the are always on THE Corner (North and North Highland)). My favorites are Chocolate Sea Salt, Raspberry Lime, Banana Puddin', Key Lime Pie and Arnold Palmer. YUM. Ready for another.

Yelp
I've never met a Popsicle I didn't like. This place was pretty good. I live in Birmingham and I go to Steel City Pops about once every other day. This place is a very very close second in my ranking of pops! My BF and I picked a pop out of the mystery bucket. They are $1.50 but you don't know what you will get. He got a coconut lemon grass and I got some spicy peach situation. Both rather tasty! We got the pup a little lick alots! A puppy pop in a tube and dear lord she loved it! A side bar- it has live cultures in it. My dog went our side a few extra times that day. If us know what I mean! The best part about this place is the service. We where greeted with the biggest smile and the happiest hello from Annette. She talked us through all the flavors and told us her favs. She is such a sweet heart! We will go back just to see her;)
google avatar

James P.

Yelp
Walking through the park and we discovered that King of Pops actually has a standing location! We've always had their pops at restaurant locations, cafes, and sometimes carts, but this place really surprised us! Seriously, if I had a bigger stomach and Scrooge McDuck's vault of gold coins, I would get ALL the flavors.
google avatar

Kathy P.

Yelp
King of pop hosted a free yoga event and provided all participants with free king of pop Popsicles after the event. These Popsicles were delicious. I had the chocolate sea salt and it tasted like a fudgesicle. So yummy. In my group we tried the raspberry lime, Thai tea, and lemon basil and they were all so yummy and refreshing. We will most definitely be back. This window stand is a gem and the workers are so sweet :)

Yelp
Review on the Easter Egg hunt THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Thank you for having an egg hunt on Easter Sunday. The weather was great and you gave my non Easter celebrating kids something to do. I do have some suggestions for next year: 1) hide more eggs. I am guessing that you did not expect such a big turn out. My kids were only able to each grab 4 eggs. 2) Check the area that you are hiding eggs for broken glass/dog poop/garbage. I know that you cannot pick it, but I do not need my kids running through it. 3) Open the second cart sooner so we do not need to wait in such long lines to purchase pops. Don't get me wrong, we loved it and loved painting the truck. It was just hard to keep and eye on the little ones. We will be back again if you do it next year. Oh, and everyone loved the photos that i posted of my kids that when my family visits from out of town this week, they are already asking about getting chocolate sea salt pops. great marketing!
google avatar

RaeAnna H.

Yelp
My lip gloss is poppin' and so is KOP! They have all the flavors that you want to see in a homemade popsicle shop. Everything classically sweet like chocolate, cookies and cream, and caramel latte as well as funky flavors like mango lassi, and Thai tea. I like that they've partnered up with Little Tart Bakeshop to create some really cool pops like cinnamon roll, and other pastry infused flavors. My favorites are all the fresh fruit flavors: raspberry lime, pineapple habanero, blackberry ginger. I love how they use seasonal fruits so everything is sourced locally. These flavors are the most refreshing and fresh tasting to me. I hunt down their funky rainbow stalls at all functions I go to in Atlanta, but when I've got a major craving I head to the Inman Park walk-up window.
google avatar

Cherpumple F.

Yelp
Sure, you can make your own popsicles with some juice, sticks, and a freezer. But these people do it so well. It's perfect for just walking by and getting a refreshing stick. $3 per popsicle. Cash and credit accepted. Funky flavors like blackberry-banana, which was great!
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
I was disappointed in the added colors and preservatives!! Although the flavors were good, I would have liked to have them be a bit creamier (they were a bit icy for my group).
google avatar

Jillian R.

Yelp
Stopped here for a pop and they are SO good! There are so many cool options that it was hard to decide what flavor to get. My husband had spiced strawberry which had Cayenne pepper in it and it was very interesting, but good! I got strawberry lemonade which tasted actually as you'd expect. Previously we've had cookies and cream which was also really good, especially the parts with the cookie dough clusters.
google avatar

L T.

Yelp
How could you NOT rate King of Pops 5 Stars?! My favorite is the banana puddin' (the vanilla wafers in them are amazing), but that's because I haven't had the chance to try key lime pie yet lol! My girlfriend's favorite is chocolate sea salt (tastes JUST like a fudgecicle)! Our pup really enjoyed her pup pop, but next time I would probably just order her her own King of Pops :) Whether it is this location, or a cart, NEVER pass up a chance for this sweet treat! YOLO!
google avatar

Lucas N.

Yelp
Kind of a cool spot located in a small service window at the end of a walking trail in Inman Park. The flavors rotate depending on when you come by but as a general note I would recommend the cream style over the fruits because they are closer to an ice cream style that melts in your mouth versus an ice cube. Worth a stop if you are in town on a hot day.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
Cookies and cream = Amazing!!! Whole chocolate chip cookies surrounded by creamy vanilla goodness; delicious! My friend wasn't feeling the sweet tooth and got the Orange Basil and said it was super refreshing. Another tried the Salted chocolate and said it was divine.
google avatar

Pam W.

Yelp
Ok. This review is not about the pops which are inventive and fun. This review is about the female server who could not have cared less when the ice pop we bought there totally froze to my 22-years old sons lip causing it to bleed. Her response when asked for a refund since his lips were bleeding into the pop: I don't know what to tell you...that's just the way our freezers are! Queen of pops...frigid and callous.
google avatar

ChauPha N.

Yelp
After riding my bike for a while on the beltline and being all sweaty and hot, ice cream was very welcomed. The fact that kind of pops was a quick side stop on the path were even better. My friend, my boyfriend and I each got a pop and were very happy. My friend and I both got the thai tea while my boyfriend got the peaches and cream. His pop wasn't as flavorful as mine but It was still good. The thai tea was really good and refreshing. I would defintely come back to get more pops whenever I am riding on the beltline or craving for one of their pops.
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
After biking a few miles on the beltline trail, you'll def want a KoP!! As soon as you see the rhino statue, immediately turn there! It is a little window. Yelper Chaupha and I had the Thai Tea flavor and it was amazing. Tasted just like a Thai tea! Where her friend had the peaches and cream. That one was disappointing. There are tons of unique flavors. I am still living in regret from not trying the margarita and mojito flavors. They also have mystery flavors. If you like surprises, I would suggest you trying these mystery pops out. There is also a decent amount of seating area to enjoy your pop! Can't wait to enjoy my next KoP!
google avatar

Grace Mao W.

Yelp
King of Pops offer the best of the best popsicles with flavors that you won't find anywhere else. We've tried several flavors: chocolate sea salt, Mexican chocolate, and Thai tea. The formula somehow balances out thirst quenching juices and creamy flavors - it melts perfectly in your mouth! This location is especially convenient for those taking a walk on the beltline as you can access it when you veer off the beltline for a little bit (near the victory bar)! Especially during the summer months, when you really need a cool-off treat, this is the spot to hit up! The lady serving us went above and beyond as to cutting off the top of the plastic wrappers for our convenience! Each popsicle is only $3, and they also serve "pupsicles" for your furry friends for $2 - $3 depending on size! This will probably become a regular for us every time we are in midtown, definitely recommended!

Yelp
After recently moving to Atlanta I have noticed how seemingly ubiquitous the King of Pops carts and stands have become. Being the good dentist that I am ;) I do not frequent sweet treats all that often but with such high demand I figured I give them a try at their cocktail version inside Ponce City Market. Their creations are perfectly marketed as "poptails". The location was a little hard to locate given its position in an offshoot U shaped corridor on the main floor of the market but nonetheless my patience was rewarded with an open stool among the few available. The pops are their normal non-alcoholic offerings paired with real adult booze and dying for an Instagram post. I went with a chocolate and caramel sea salt pop paired with a Guinness beer. The genius minds that thought of this concoction deserve many applause because it was everything I wanted it to be and more. If in the market I highly recommend giving this bar a visit!

Rachel M.

Yelp
Oh my god. I loooove King of Pops and this location doesn't disappoint. They do a chocolate dip for a dollar extra and they have grilled cheese sandwiches too!! I got the raspberry lime, it's my King of Pops regular. Yummy in my tummy.
google avatar

N G.

Yelp
Walked all the way through the heat just to get these. It was well worth the walk. There were so many different flavor combinations. They have ice flavors and cream flavors. I couldn't decide so I got one of each. I got salted lemonade which was so good. It taste kinda like a margarita. Yummy. Also a key lime pie. I loved the graham cracker crust in it. They were both great.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to stop on the Beltline! I go back to the KOP push cart days so I know what I speak of. This ATL institution is a must especially on a Hotlanta summer day. You can't go wrong with either the fruit or cream based Popsicles and I've enjoyed every flavor I've tried, and I've tried a bunch. Some of the mash up flavors (Chocolate/Orange, Cucumber/Lime, etc.) could be balanced better, but other than that this sweet treat in Inman Park is a must try when in the area.

Yelp
Mmm, loooveee King of Pops. I love that they have unique flavors to try, and it's also conveniently located by the Beltline and other places. Super nice to grab a popsicle on a nice day walking/running/biking/etc. I really lovee the strawberry lemonade and Arnold Palmer. I also tried the coconut lemongrass, which mostly tasted like coconut. It was really thick and rich in flavor. Only get this one if you're a huge coconut fan like me. They also have pops for your dog! I think those come in a container so it'll be easier to fed your dog with. It's $3/pop, which I personally think is a little too much... They accept both cash and card though. Give the mystery flavor a try if you're feeling adventurous one day.

Yelp
Walking on the beltline today and there, like an oasis, was a King of Pops. It was the perfect treat on a hot Atlanta day. I had the grapefruit mint today, and it was super refreshing.

Yelp
I love this little location. They just added benches and its so convenient to the Beltline. After a long walk or run, their pops are a refreshing treat. The flavors are awesome. I can't pick a favorite but raspberry lime tastes like a margarita and its one of my favorites. I am a regular and I love that I don't have to look for them around town - even though spotting the rainbow umbrella was always fun too. I always get good service and love the part this business plays in the community by offering a quality product. There are copy cats but this one is the original and the best!

Yelp
Cutest little window ever. It makes me think I'm about to be handed a pie from a woman in an apron... or that someone's going to call out LASSIE.. or TIMMY IT'S TIME FOR DINNER.. or start singing OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MOOOOORNING.. or whatever. Just because of this swinging window. They are obviously stationed in a basement.. because they have to climb up from inside to get to this window. There's a little desk up there, some shirts hanging, and even a cooler. How strange! You kinda feel like you're getting special secretive service. I think this is still not a completely well known little place to pick up a pop to eat immediately. The window faces the Beltline, so you can actually sit on the sidewalk or bench and watch people go by, I guess. It's in a strange area, but they do a pretty good job of directing you with a couple signs. I had stopped by the dude at Buddy's and asked him how to get there.. just a minute down the road from there. This is where you pick up your order (pop of the month club) or just stop by for a sweet treat. There's a small bench out front you can park your patootie on to enjoy your pop. King of Pops is a great biz.. definitely check out this homebase location.

Yelp
Everyone loves Kings of Pops and this flagship location just makes it super convenient and easy to get your fix at later hours, plus they accept debit/credit! Not to mention, it's located just down the street from the Eastside Beltline entrance - making it the perfect trail treat. I've yet to try a flavor I haven't enjoyed, and really there is no wrong option; It's all delicious. In addition, the flavors are so much more unique and even "gourmet" than your average popsicle: Once you go KoP, you don't go back. Now, there is typically a line, especially on the weekends, but don't let that daunt you, the lines move quickly, and of course, it's well worth the wait!

Yelp
Great ice cream! Best flavors ever! The chocolate sea salt is one of my favorite ones. I also tried the Mexican chocolate! Hmmm tasty! The sales person Patricia, she was awesome, helped me picked the flavors and gave me a description of the ones that i was not familiar with. I was so lucky not to get a ticket by hateful park Atlanta, i guess he didn't see me. :) that is the only sucky thing from this location the parking! Just be careful when to come, where you park. This pops are amazing, so fresh, local and handmade. I just learned that you can order online! What!! I can order my pops and eat then too! Yum! Thanks KOP y'all are awesome!

Yelp
One of Atlanta's pride and joy, I'd say. Everyone ( I know) loves King of Pops! My friends even had them at their wedding. This is their B and M location, errr the Window location. Inside is where the magic happens? Fantabulous pops with an assortment of flavors, both fruit-based and milk-based. You can get mystery pops too. They're so mysterious, even the staff don't have a clue what they are. According to an employee, they're unmarked leftovers from previous batches. The most popular pop is probably their chocolate sea-salt. There are year-round flavors and seasonal flavors. They have a water bowl for pets at their window location.

Yelp
King of Pops is one of my FAVORITE parts of Atlanta. Fresh, unique, yet totally delectable ingredients in all their pops. Their website lets you know where they are at any given day, but if it's the dead of winter, the temperature is in the teens, and you still need some KoPs (this may or may not have happened to me...) then just head to this cool window in Inman Park. They have mystery pops for $1.50 (opposed to normal pops at $2.50), and while it is fun, they are a little harder since they're not as fresh and obviously you may not get the flavor you were craving. Also be sure to ask about all the different kind of flavors they have. They showed us a chalkboard of flavors, but it didn't list their seasonal flavors (some of which they did have) so make sure to ask for more! Pops I've tried, in no particular order, to be updated: Cookies & Cream, Sweet Potato (something, it had pecans and marshmallows), White Chocolate Peppermint, Peach Jalapeno, Pumpkin Chai, Key Lime Pie, Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake, Gingerbread, more to come!

Yelp
I'm the biggest fan of King of Pops. Period. I love whatever they have to offer and they have added value to the city of Atlanta. I remember the first time I saw King of Pops on the side of 5th and Peachtree and thought I had entered an alternate universe.(Pops?! that's EXACTLY what I want to surprise me on a hot summer's day) I always go with the weird s#% just to make sure they keep producing them. If they have a jalapeño pop I have to try it. You can never go wrong with their cream based offerings either. My last pop was coco puff milk pop and I think that was the highlight of my Inman park festival experience.
