The 14 Best Restaurants Near Chicago’s O’Hare Airport (ORD) | Eater Chicago

"There’s no way around it — travel is stressful. A massage, facial, or body scrub seems an appealing antidote to pre-trip jitters or post-journey exhaustion, conveniently available at King Spa & Sauna in suburban Niles. But King Spa goes even further with its food court, where patrons can find Korean dishes like yukgaejang and bibimbap, as well as bubble tea, salads, and fresh juice. This is great for long layovers." - Ashok Selvam

What a spiritual awakening for me and my bestie. The fully naked, gender separate area was the most well organized spa I had ever visited. It was clean and sanitized to the point that I would trust eating off the floor. The different saunas and tubs were so titillating. The restaurant inside went crazy- we ate there like 3 times. You can spend what feels like a lifetime in here. Must come again. The warm wood chips went crazy

If nudity makes you uncomfortable try a different spa.my husband and I enjoyed 4 hrs here. We went on Easter Sunday and it was not too busy. It was a nice experience. The staff are friendly and let you explore on your own; they aren't pushy or excessive in customer service. The food was fresh. If you want to look like a pro, Bring a bottle for water, your own towel, some shower essentials + caddy, and little slip on socks/water shoes (if you don't like being barefoot).

Great sauna experience! The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and very relaxing. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for unwinding. The only downside was the kitchen, while the food was good, the prices were quite high. Overall, it is a fantastic place to relax, just be prepared for the pricey menu.

Had a great time at King Spa in Niles! The saunas and relaxation rooms are perfect for your health, and going at night is the best for a good night’s sleep. The cafe food was surprisingly good too. Definitely recommend!

I try to come here every 3 months. As a spa owner I could only wish my place was as busy as this place! Services from facials massages reflexology, Korean body scrub, which is my favorite. That’s why I come. You can also visit the salt room tile therapy room the heated base rock rooms. They have movies that are going and many places to just relax here. it is very busy on the weekends. Don’t forget to check out the food. It is very good. You cannot bring in any food or drink of your own. You can always check out the Groupon. They have specials to get in so you’ll pay to get in and then you also have to pay for the different services. They have about six or seven free rooms that you can go into. I love this place because they give you a variety that to come with friends and family. I also believe that you can stay the night. They are open 24/7 now. Plan on spending a couple hundred dollars to pamper yourself. It will be well worth it. The body scrub is the best thing the side of heaven. I cannot take pictures because of privacy inside of the spa so I’m showing you what I can. 🤗 I highly recommend KING spa. I am in the Niles location just outside of Chicago.

Google
Loved the experience we went as a group of 4 we used Groupon for the admission fee and we did the V stream it was $40 even for like 50 minutes maybe a lil less. Very clean there are nude people walking around so if you don’t like nudity don’t go. Great experience they have a lot of rooms for cold & hot relaxation rooms and food it’s a lot to do. I highly recommend

I’ll start with I was really afraid about the naked part. But the first place I walked into was a locker room and the pools were in view. Suddenly, it didn’t bother me and I had a great time. I was in a pool doing what everyone else was. Relaxing. I was there from 2-7pm. I got a 60 minute acupressure massage with oil which was great. Just enough pressure. And then at the very end of my visit I got their basic scrub and again, being naked for that didn’t bother me so much. I closed my eyes and tried to forget it was a little lady. All the staff is very nice. Because I got the massage, my next visit is free and I plan on going and trying some different services. The only regret I have is not taking the 90 minute massage. I’m always tense, so I thought 60 would be just enough, but I relaxed so much that I thought about getting another, less pricey massage. I highly recommend the experience. I promise the naked deal isn’t anything to be scared of, and for most of the facility, you’re in a comfy T-shirt and shorts. I’d eat a little more beforehand and not eat there next time. The food was good, but expensive. I would get a smoothie though. It was delicious and really nice after using all of the dry saunas. I’d go earlier in the day next time. I was super surprised how busy it was past 4pm. I’m definitely going again!!!

Google
Overall, I had a great experience at King Spa. The facilities were clean, relaxing, and well-maintained, offering a wide range of saunas and amenities that made for a truly rejuvenating visit. It’s a great place to unwind and spend a few peaceful hours. The only downside was my massage—it was much softer than expected, even after I mentioned preferring more pressure. While it was still relaxing, it didn’t quite deliver the level of relief I was hoping for. That said, everything else—from the ambiance to the staff and overall atmosphere—was excellent. I would definitely return, though next time I’ll be sure to communicate my massage preferences more clearly or request a therapist who specializes in deeper pressure.

Yelp
"If You're Looking for High Prices and Terrible Service, This Spa is Perfect for You!" Today was my first visit to Kings spa. Unfortunately, I encountered an extremely rude man at the front desk who clearly lacked basic customer service training and communication skills. Given that this spa charges a $60 admission fee on top of the costs for massages and scrubs (unlike other K spas across the country that deduct admission from service fees), the minimum expectation should be courteous and professional service. For context, I have been a regular at K spas every month in NYC and California since 2013 but have never encountered this level of poor customer service from any of the front desk. Considering their high price point--$400+ for scrub, massage, and admission--I would prefer to spend my money on a true spa experience with excellent customer service. What a disappointment.

Yelp
This was my second time to King Spa. The last time was around 6 years ago and it's changed a bit. Overall, it's a great deal for $30 - $45 admission fee but the experience has downgraded a bit since I last came. Here's what has changed: They no longer offer you slippers when you arrive. So you walk barefoot, buy their slippers, or bring your own. It's much more crowded now. The cafe used to be more focused on healthy food and all their ingredients were organic. That is no longer the case and the food is much more expensive. Think $20 for soon dubu, $25 sam gae tang and $9 boba tea. The place doesn't feel as sanitary as it should be. There aren't spray bottles with cloths for guests to wipe down areas after use. Also, guests not wearing slippers or socks has me concerned how it would be to get athlete's foot. The place needs some repair as well. There were loose floor tiling and shower heads dripping water into the cold pool. I would be willing to pay a higher admission fee for a less crowded, cleaner experience.

Yelp
This was my second time coming here. We bought a Groupon so we wanted to use it. Price is about $50 for one person, very fair for everything you get. Usually, it's not very busy on Wednesday nights but I guess they had another promotion going on. First, King Spa has their own parking lot, so you just have to find that huge entrance sign to the left of H Mart and follow it. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Pro-tip: eat a meal at H Mart before going in. The food inside of King Spa is way overpriced. You can easily spend less at the H Mart food court and get a little variety. After you check in, give the staff your ID. You'll receive a wristband that also serves as a credit card to your account. If you want access to the base rock room (you'll need a towel), a massage, or even the overly expensive food, then scan your wristband. You'll enter into the men's or women's area. Take off your shoes, enter to the right, and use your wristband to find the number (you'll store your shoes here). Find your t-shirt and shorts size. Next, find your locker to store your belongings. They have rules here because for some stupid reason, people that are uncultured want to bring their own bathrobe and swim wear? Undress completely and enter into the wet spa. You have to be completely nude. Shower first. You'll then enter into the warm water, then into the cold water, then into the steam room, and cold again. You can find the rules on the website. I suppose you can skip all of this and get dressed, if it makes you uncomfortable. Get dressed. Then go into the coed area. You'll find a water fountain, food area, multiple sauna rooms, an ice room, small movie theater, and lounge area. Upstairs you'll find a recliner area to sleep or watch TV. You also find two more rooms on the left. The first one is the anion and far infrared room. The last one is the oxygen room. I noticed this but you don't need to wear N95s. I saw a few women that looked like they're in their 50s wearing N95s. They were missing a hazmat suit and plastic gloves. Seriously, if you're that scared then stay home. Also no slippers but you can wear socks or go barefoot. They have signs with rules in each of the rooms because people are too entitled to follow simple rules. When you return your wristband at the end, you'll pay for all of your extra purchases if you have any.

Yelp
We have been to the King spa in NY and Virginia. So why not this location as well. This was on the day of our return flight to DC from Chicago. Since our flight was departing at 6:30 pm, this was a perfect getaway for a day trip. We bought tickets via Groupon and checked in at 8:30 am. It wasn't too crowded. We met a couple of other people who were doing the same. Traveling and taking the evening fight just like us. Staff were very friendly. They explained how every thing works. Wet area is completely nude. They have 4 small hot tubs, a steam room and sauna. Cold plunge was nice too. Dry saunas were nice too. But kinda small compared to the one in Virginia. Unfortunately, they don't have outdoor pool area. So we spent most of the time in the wet area. Food starts at 11 am. Lots of great options. We chose ramen. Pretty good. Expect to pay slightly more than what you would pay at a ramen restaurant. We then relaxed a bit in the relaxation lounge. Went back to the wet area for a couple of hours. Checkout around 3:30 pm. Airport is not too far from this place. Probably 20 mins Uber ride.

Yelp
I was looking through my Groupon and realized I bought a day @ King Spa that expired on 01/24/24 so I figured I better check it out before it expired. I went here today 01/23/24 1 day before the expiration date. Mehhhhh I finally went here today & wasn't overly impressed. I guess I should have done a little homework @ looked at the reviews & photos of people that had been there before maybe I would have appreciated it more. The check in they ask for an ID to hold until you leave and give you a bracelet w/a little circular thing that designates your locker number & as I found out later it works like a hospital band. Anything you buy from extra services like massages, skin scrubs, facials, food or drinks are scanned on the tag. When you leave any service or product that you buy is tallied up at the register as your leaving. The key is for the 2 lockers one for your shoes and one for your other belongings. First you take off shoes and socks and walk in barefoot (WTF?). Before you walk in there is a rack w/rolled up clothes w/different sizes from small to XL. Find your locker in the locker room that corresponds to your shoe locker & strip down to you grey shorts & shirt) women get matching pink shirt & shorts (awwww how cute). Kind of like squid game lol After you change right off of the locker room there is a room where there are showers, a pool & steam sauna but you must strip down & git bare ass naked before you head on into this area. After you leave the locker room there is a large room w/lounge chairs. Off of this area are smaller rooms w/beautiful large amethyst rock formations all over in the large room and many of the smaller rooms. Things like a salt room, crystal rom, amethyst room, charcoal room.... They also have a movie room w/a variety of movies & a dining room. There's lots to do and see & parts of it are open 24hrs. Maybe if I had done a little more research before going in I would have appreciated it more. Also remember that wrist band is like a hospital band & it's very easy to inflict a lot of expense of your not careful.

Yelp
I have nothing but praise for King Spa! This is the perfect way to spend a relaxing Sunday with your friends or treat yourself to a spa day. We got in for $35 for the day using the coupon on their website. For $35, you could just stay the whole day relaxing and spend no more money! Or, if you want to be fancy, you can pay extra for massages or scrubs or facials. The pools area was my favorite. These are separated by gender because you are naked. It's a bunch of pools of varying degrees, some really hot and a cold option as well. You rinse off at the showers before entering the pools or after exiting the steam room. To go into the common areas, you put on their little sweatshort / shirt uniform. There are so many different areas to explore - saunas with different temperatures and features, red light, cafeteria, resting area. It gets very busy on the weekend and sometimes you have to wait for a spot to open up in the sauna you want. For example, the one that you lay in little wood chips was very popular and we didn't get in until the end. The cafeteria is inside the spa, so you don't need to leave for lunch. You can pay with your wristband so you don't even need to carry your wallet around. The food is definitely overpriced but it was good, and they had an entire vegetarian menu, along with some fresh pressed juices. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
This is a magical place where you can experience the healing power of crystals and the elemental kingdom. Be immersed in traditional Korean antiquities and spa modalities. The scrubs and massages are amazing!! Note: the therapy and pool rooms are mean to be Zero Talking. It is annoying when people talk and then the staff has to come around and remind the talkers to be quiet. Recommendation: Enjoy the opportunity to unplug and leave your monkey mind in the car or locker room. Opportunity for Improvement: more options for Top 18 allergy friendly food

Yelp
For newbies: the roadmap for King's Spa is you first enter the women's or men-only locker room and bathhouse after taking off your shoes. The men's and women's bathhouses are separate and nude. After you are finished with the nude bathhouse you borrow a designated King's Spa t-shirt and shorts to enter a second space with multiple co-ed saunas. The minimum age is 8 to enter and you could likely see someone close to this age during your experience. It will be crowded on holidays like MLK or Presidents Day - almost four times the amount of people on a typical day. For yogis: at King's Spa you can use the headrest within the sauna rooms as a yoga block to prop up your back as you do some stretches. I highly recommend doing stretches within the bathhouse and sauna rooms to hear your bones crack and feel your muscles stretch. For foodies: The food options are so plentiful it is not surprising if you second-guess your decision after ordering. I strongly suggest the aloe juice after you become slightly dehydrated in the sauna rooms. The sweetness is a surprise and brings much joy to my hydration-needing tastebuds. I also believe it helps calm the tastebuds when eating the spicy food you order!

Yelp
If you're curious what a Korean spa is like and you happen to be in Chicago and willing to take an Uber, visit King Spa. It's located in the same plaza as H Mart. The spa is quite massive with several different saunas at a variety of temperatures. If you go on the weekends, it can get quite crowded in the sauna space so it requires a little bit of wait time so probably better to go later at night or on a weekday. The massage services are quite nice and there are lots of infrared lights everywhere so lots of space to chat with friends as well. The food court could probably be skipped. It's quite expensive and the rice shikye drink was just frozen like it was not made correctly. However, the only thing I would recommend would be the eggs because they are cooked in the sauna.

Yelp
This was awesome. It was really relaxing and had a lot of different types of saunas. There was an option for food in the little cafeteria attached to the sauna areas but food is not included in your entree fee. We only opted to get drinks to stay hydrated as the food did not look as worth it. The facilities are really clean and well maintained. The shower area is relatively clean and there are neat lockers for you to put your stuff away.

Yelp
I had heard this place was very relaxing and has everything you want all in one place. So I went there and went in and you are greeted at the desk. I used a Groupon so it was cheaper I think the regular price is $60 now for the general admission. They give you a watch style type to wear around your wrist along with your locker key to put your stuff in. You pay at the desk and they hold your license because the watch style wrist band they give you is like your way to pay for massages and food and drinks. So when you turn in the bracelet you pay for any extra items you used not covered in general admission. You go to women side and there is a jacuzzi to use and a shower also there. Then you go into main area and all the saunas and ice room and salt room are free to use. The upstairs area is like a relaxation area. There is a movie theater on the same levels of all the sauna rooms and ice rooms and you can stay in the facility as long as you like.. the facility is open 24 hours. Then there is a cafe area that has juices and smoothies and Japanese style food to eat and choose from. This place is awesome and I really liked it. I would go back again for sure. I posted pics also of what's inside.

Yelp
Interesting place. Go for the culture experience. Go and enjoy yourself with no expectations. Go with friends and relax. Overall I would try the scrub again, if I lived locally it be a great escape but to drive here from far away it's not worth it for me.

Yelp
Love love LOVE the King Spa! It's so relaxing. I worked as a massage therapist at Waldorf Astoria spa for 5 years and other high end spas and the King Spa is just as good for way more affordable prices. It's very clean, the body scrubs are amazing as are the massages. The Korean restaurant is excellent. They serve some American food as well. I love coming here late night because it's not so busy. It's every shape size and nationality so don't worry about it ladies. I was nervous at first too but you feel so comfortable after your first time. You can also bring your own beauty products which I also love. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Yelp
I'm sorry to say this, but this was by far the most disappointing spa/sauna experience I've ever had in my life. It was so bad that I went out of my way to write this review on my computer, because it truly required an in depth review on why I rated this place 2 out of 5 stars. For starters, I would like to say that King Spa has definitely changed a lot than what it used to be 5 years ago, and it didn't change in a good way. It used to be a very relaxing, high quality, and well kept up place to just relax for the day. The food used to be so good (I'll go into depth why that changed), the staff was efficient, flow of business made sense, the saunas had adequate space for everyone, and the overall treatment of the guest were much better. The main attraction, the spas and sauna. The first thing you do is head into the bathing area (men and women sides). I will say if you never have been to a traditional bath house, it will be a little bit of an uncomfortable experience. However, you quickly get used to it and can enjoy the amenities. Now, they offer hot tubs, wet saunas, cold tubs and massage areas. Overall, the entire bath house felt like a normal LifeTime locker room. Almost the same setup, which was disappointing because the $70 ticket price, you'd think you get a little more. For one, the products offered by the hair dryers and mirrors are really low quality. For a spa/sauna, you'd think they at least offer a few skin care products or at least not generic LA sports gel for your hair. Anyways, the experience in the bath house isn't all that bad. You get yourself clean and relaxed before the sauna. I suggest you bring your own toiletries bag of body wash, shampoo, conditioner and your other personal care products because the ones they offer are terrible. Another issue I had was the cold tub. Wasn't even cold, but more like a chilled pool, not what I was expecting. Finally the massages, they seem great but was not worth the price. It was something absurd like $100 for 40 mins and $140 for 70 mins which is wild. Now the 6 different dry saunas, they were all pretty clean and good to use. Where the problem came was how this establishment did not limit the number of patrons in the business. I get it, you want to get as many customers as possible because more people equals more profits. However, their facilities I would say can comfortably fit 100 people max. When my gf and I were there last night there was like 250-300 people in there. Given it was a Saturday night, and we knew it was going to be packed, but my goodness it was way too many people. Sauna rooms were filled to the brim, people waiting for nearly every single one, and since so many people kept going in and out. The temperatures never really regulated in the rooms so you couldn't get a consistent sauna experience. Overall, the saunas, ice room, oxygen rooms were all nice. But for the amount of people that were there last night, it made it all feel so claustrophobic being shoulder to shoulder with people and sweating. We could never get a couch spot in the lobby, no place to sit in dining, and no spaces in their oxygen rooms. Finally, the worst part of it all was the food. My god. For a place that used to have such good food, I have never been so angry and pissed for the prices I paid and the quality I got back. Long story short, I would've settled for a mcchicken over their food, and I will tell you why. King Spa now offers 98 different menu items. Like why in the hell does a business offer that many items. It's not a giant kitchen by the way, so no way the quality control of food was up kept with 98 different items being ordered. And safe to say, it wasn't. My gf and I ordered the sauna eggs, two bubble teas, a sparking water, redbull, seasoned fries, a japanese shrimp tempura curry udon, and a shrimp stir fry udon for a total of $103. I understood that for this business, the prices reflected an amusement park like price tag and I was ok with it. I assumed for a high price, at least the food would be good but I was so wrong. I repeat. Nothing I ate there was remotely good. The bubble teas. Jesus those were terrible. Water downed, more than half the cup was ice, and the flavoring was like so artificial but like bland. We got the mango and taro bubble teas and they didn't even taste like their respective fruits/roots. You would taste mango for like a second then just watered down swill. The taro was no better. The eggs were ok. Wanted them a little more roasted but they were cooked so surprisingly, they were the only edible things. What was crazy was the portions. We paid $9 for seasoned fries and I kid you not, they gave us like 15 fries. It was a giant platter and the fries barely filled the tray. It was so disappointing and truly felt like I got robbed of my hard earned money. The rest of my review is a screen shot cause I hit my word limit. I didn't bring my phone, so I apologize for the lack of photos.

Yelp
First off, I was shopping with my friends at a nearby outlet and wanted to go somewhere to rest so we went on Groupon and found out King spa was having a promotion. So we got the tickets and went there spontaneously. The place was much smaller compared to the other Korean saunas I've been to but it still has everything. It had 2 floors: 1st floor: food court, sauna rooms, movie theatre 2nd floor: sleeping areas, oxygen room, infrared room The place gets very crowded on the weekends so I recommend going there on weekdays. They also allow travelers to stay overnight with extra price instead for paying much more for hotel rooms. In the changing area, they have a heated pool and cold bath (you have to be naked) and shower areas. They also offer different services like massages, Brazilian wax, face mask, etc where the Korean grandmas do them for you. Overall, a great experience especially during Chicago winters. You won't even know how much time has passed once you are inside.

Yelp
This was a delightful experience! I took The Amtrak from St. Louis, MO for this wonderful overnight trip. It's almost like a Jewish MekVah except there are no praying cards, you are amongst others and there is so much to do! This is a family spa (12-years and older) and I can understand why especially for those who are getting ready to undergo a life transformation (sports, a trek, medical care, etc.). Watch the intro video: https://youtu.be/YPe86b7OzLo Arrive pay the fee $55 (or with online coupon $35-$37). You get a Want to leave and come back in (you have 5-minutes or you have to pay the entry fee once more). Want to stay overnight (I highly recommend it) Video: https://youtu.be/gs9jWTR3jfU Eat before you arrive (appetizers/meals are $15+). Yummy meals! I can't post enough to PLEASE EAT B4 arrival! You cannot go out and eat and come back!!!! I'm definitely going back and will visit the other locations and check out more Korean spas around the globe. It's refreshing to get bathed, get hydrated in several hot tubs and do a cold dip, then sauna, as well as meditate within hot rooms, have a spa treatment or not and just RELAX!!! Relax Relax Relax Cleanse your body Do a detox Do red light therapy Treat yourself Watch a movie Listen to an audiobook Meditate When you visit King Spa, you are making a promise to yourself of wellness!! Try it!! Keep quite and try your best NOT TO TALK. Just meditate on attaining your best life and health!

Yelp
I've enjoyed coming to King Spa for years. Unfortunately, today was my last time. I was on the men's side of the spa enjoying the pools when I noticed two staff members taking turns monitoring patrons. They were leaning against the wall watching us, looking into the sauna, etc. Staff are clothed, while patrons are nude. Being watched in this way made me uncomfortable. I asked a staff member at the front desk why these people were watching us. He said that there were incidents that occurred in the sauna which necessitated having staff monitor patrons' behavior. I asked if this monitoring was also happening on the women's side. He told me that the behavior wasn't really an issue on the women's side, so it wasn't being monitored. He emphasized several times that only the men's side was subject to this type of monitoring. I informed him that this was discriminatory on the basis of sex, and that if the business has a rule, it needs to apply to all patrons. I asked if the staff members' job was to monitor "gay stuff," to which he responded, "if you want to call it that." He then said that as a private business, King Spa can do whatever it wants, and that he had the authority to kick me out if I didn't like how they did business. As a business open to the public, King Spa does not have the right to discriminate. Because the business has established a rule (no funny business in the sauna), and because this rule is only being enforced on the men's side of the sauna, the business is engaging in discrimination on the basis of sex. Not only that, but a staff member agreed that other staff members were watching out for "gay stuff," which is discriminatory on the basis of sexual orientation. I am very disappointed by what happened today, and I'll be sad not to return to this business again. However, I will not subject myself to further discrimination and homophobia.

Yelp
I didn't take pictures. But, as my friend, who went on this journey with me said afterwards, it was well worth all the angst over being naked infront of strangers, as to be expected. But being naked infront of old friends, from whom one thought no secrets were ever kept, drove my anxiety through the roof. Psychoanalysis, fortunately, isn't part of this rather brief review. First, on a Friday, the amount of people who came, I imagine straight from work, was considerable. The place is huge, though, so it didn't feel claustrophobic--you wouldn't need to accidentally brush up against other people in various stages of undressing. You have to trust that the elements of Nature are made available to you--the dry heat, or the inviting steam, the charcoal cave, the salt cave, or the oxygen room, the ionization or the infrared room--they exist here for your healing and emotional/spiritual/mental redemption from the daily grind of sorts. For myself, I was here because I have two friends, whom I love to the edges of the world, who want us all three to share such an unusual bonding experience with each other. And I wouldn't want them to think I'm not keen on desiring all the health benefits this experience has to offer. There's massage, jacuzzis, and a restaurant inside, and maybe other services we didn't get to explore. Three hours plus of hot and cold then hot and steam and a warm shower afterwards, was enough sensory overload for me--but in certain positive way! My Chicago visits, undoubtedly, have forever changed, and must now, along with seeing my daughter and my college friends, include a mandatory trip to King Spa. Which is good for my generally achy body, and my brain that's often entangled with so many what-if's as well as fears of the unknown.

Yelp
I was invited to come to this Korean spa with a small group of friends, and it was one of the most interesting but fun experiences I've had! I've heard of this place in passing, but was glad I was able to finally experience it for myself. For the general admission price (there's also a Groupon for your first visit too, which I highly recommend to save a few $$), you're able to still experience quite a lot with the different pools, steam room, along with the many co-ed shared sauna rooms. I enjoyed how all the sauna rooms have a different theme and goal, allowing you to really explore each one to its entirety. There's also a food cafeteria area, where you can order Korean dishes/drinks. The food is kinda pricey with each dish being around $20+, but everything we tried was pretty decent. The only thing I'd keep in mind, is that you will be naked in the pools so be prepared for nudity. I didn't expect this, so wanted to share!

Yelp
Love this place. Been here twice. What a fantastic way to spend a day relaxing and indulging in self care.

Yelp
First, parking is HORRIBLE! I had to park on the strip mall side by H- Mart. So be prepared to walk a bit. Checking in line was long, but at least was efficient! Not a bad process, but nothing explained. The clothing sizes run a size bigger so beware. It felt clean and looked clean. Some of the rooms are at capacity and you may have to wait. The restaurant has some pretty decent food, time to get it was a little long, but worth the wait. Overall not a bad place to relax at but not something I would do often. You can easily go to a spa at LA Fitness and get a similar experience.

Yelp
Went today with my wife, had a really good experience. The food was good, but slightly pricy: $20 for a relative small portion of squid. The indoor pool was okay, but a little dirty. I highly recommend their sauna and massages. Dont forget to go to H mart next door to get the discount pass.

Yelp
Was looking for a spa around the Chicago area and King Spa kept coming up as the place to try. I used a group to safe about $20 off the normal ticket price. I also heard you can go to the local Hmart for discounted tickets. Upon entering they took my ID and gave us a wristband with a locker key. You are separated men from women and enter the locker room where you'll shower and have the ability to enter the hot tub. King Spa is known for their various spa rooms. I didn't look into the details of each one but each one is supposed to have a health benefit. I liked the hot room where the temperature is 125+ degrees. There's also a cold room, a salt room, a charcoal room, and more.... There's a food hall in the establishment and I thought the food was pretty good, although prices were high (two spring rolls are $10!). I give this place 5 stars because it's a nice way to spend your time if you are looking for a spa like environment. Some of the services are extra but I heard great things about those as well.

Yelp
I love King Spa. I've been several times and it's a great experience. I recommend going in with an open mind. There are a ton of amenities included in the base rate or you can get add ons like massages and facials- I've never gotten any extra services. I love the different sauna rooms and can hang in the main room to chill. The food is also really good!

Yelp
A nice place for a girl's day out and relaxing. If you've never been here, there's a general admission to get it and have access to the pool area, and different hot and cold rooms, and the rest of the services are extra (i.e. massage, scrubs, food, etc). If you go into the pool area, no bathing suits is allowed only your birthday suit, the main room is coed and everyone where's their uniform that they provide. At certain hours it can get crowded and in some areas you have to wait to get in. You're there to relax so we didn't mind just hanging out in the main room while waiting.

Yelp
I come here once a month with my best friend. It's our favorite place to relax and revive. Once you check in and pay the entrance fee and get your locker, you will go to the female or male locker room and remove your shoes (there are bags available to place them in). Upon entering the locker room, there will be someone there greeting you to ask if you want a body scrub or v-steam. I do the cbd scrub monthly, as you leave with baby soft skin. Not required, but a fantastic option. There will also be someone there to give you a "uniform", shorts and a tshirt, in your preferred size. You can then go to your locker. At this point you have two options: -go to the water area -dress in uniform and go to the unisex relaxation area Be aware that this is a Korean spa, so there is a section off of each locker room that has a nude area with showers and different soaking tubs (warm, warmer, hot, and cold), as well as a steam room. This is also where they do full body scrubs behind a separation wall. I know it sounds weird, but honestly no one is watching you or cares what you look like. Let loose and relax :-) After this portion, or if you bypass it all together, you can get dressed in the uniform and enjoy the unisex relaxation area. There are SEVERAL rooms with different healing properties to enjoy as well as a full menu restaurant, which is always great. -rooms with heated floors to lay on -cypress wood room -salt cave room -oxygen room -red light therapy -recliners for sleeping -a movie theater with recliners Etc. You also have the opportunity to book a massage or facial here, which is more private than the scrub. Overall you are in for a great when you come here! Worth every penny.

Yelp
As a 25 y.o male I would like to say that this is great place to spend some time with your family or friends. Most of the people are very anxious about being nude, they will provide small towels that you can put in front of your body. Will definitely be there again.

Yelp
Great place to visit and get body scrub and facial. I like that this is a place for allowing both women and men, obviously in USA saunas and soaking pools are separate. Nice common areas, a bit of attitude from the staff, some phone speakers and yelling but otherwise all good. You think stepping on your kids Lego set is painful - try laying down on these. Seriously try, your body will be so relaxed after laying down on these warm, wooden blocks.

Yelp
The food is terrible and expensive!!!You should've eaten before come here I used to go to King spa just for food but it is not good anymore. I ordered seafood soup, it tasted so nasty, not sure it's still Korean food. Please, cook better with that overpriced so that people can enjoy the food when they are here. So disappointed.

Yelp
I've heard about this place many times and as a birthday treat my husband and I decided to go on a Monday. There's a discount coupon available through email sign-up and I even hear they often post deals on Groupon. General admission for 24hr stay is $50(not bad at all given its many amenities). Upon entering the establishment we were given wristband key holders according to our gender. The key gives one access to the lockers where you can place your belongings. After leaving our locker rooms my husband informed me that patrons get two lockers(one for shoes). As I headed to the locker room, there's a sign that says shoes are prohibited beyond this point. Boy did that slip my mind as I was headed out! Anyways, there's a woman at a desk to answer any questions you may have, and also instructed me where to grab uniform and how to enter the dry area. For small ladies such as myself, they do not carry small sizes, but the medium fit me comfortably. First thing we headed for was the food, of course! I've seen so many great reviews about their food, and maybe it was just what we tried, but it was very basic. We had the marinated short ribs, chicken teriyaki, shrimp dim sum, and pork egg rolls. My favorite was the soup and the egg rolls. To purchase, you scan the wristband and pay upon departure. We spent about 20 minutes in every room, except for the cold room and the extremely hot rooms. Each room was beautiful and relaxing, you can't help but take a nap. People are respectful as far as their volume and very friendly as well. I took a star off because of the the price and quality of the food, otherwise, I do recommend.

Yelp
King Spa & Sauna is one of the most relaxing places I've ever been to. I was turned on to this Asian spa by my husband and I wish I had heard about it years earlier. My husband and I went on a Saturday. The line to get in was longer than normal. Once we got checked in we headed straight for the wet suana. In this area there are showers, three whirlpools (each with different temperatures), a cold pool, and a steam sauna. I could spend all day in the whirlpool if they let me (they don't - you're limited to 20 minutes at a time). After the wet suana, we ventured into the dry sauna. Here there are different sauna rooms. The temperatures of these rooms range from warm to hot enough to cook eggs in (they actually cook eggs for their restaurant in there). There is a great Asian restaurant that has been featured on TV many times. The food is good, but I find there prices to be a little high. I normally stop for lunch or dinner before coming. In addition to the saunas, King Spa & Sauna also has a movie theater, massages (for an additional price), quiet rooms, chess boards, and a "sleeping area" with reclining chairs. There are complimentary phone charging stations available as well. You can easily spend the entire day there. King Spa & Sauna is open 24/7 and many do stay overnight. They close off portions of the rooms at night to clean. This is a family friendly spa and children are welcome. On the day that we went it was unusually busy and loud in what is otherwise a great place to relax and unwind without your phone or other distractions. Despite the crowds the employees do a great job of keeping things clean and well-stocked. I highly recommend King Spa & Sauna for a great chance to relax and recharge.

Yelp
Very disappointing place. Came here to spend a couple hours relaxing and halfway through my visit was interrupted because they did want me to charge my car at the outlet that was outside immediately in front of my parking space. Meanwhile customers inside were readily charging their phones and other devices and this felt like a double standard and that I was being singled out for charging my device. They could have just asked me not to charge AFTER I was ready to leave instead of interrupting my stay and ruining my experience over something so trivial.

Yelp
Oh goodness, have I never left a review!?!? King Spa is a great day-trip for anyone, as well as (even co-ed) groups. I've been visiting maybe once a year off and on, usually in the winter. For those comfortable with Korean or Japanese-style onsen bath houses, King Spa has these elements. It boasts a great cafeteria and common area, several relaxation rooms (infra-red, oxygen), theater room, and - it's biggest pull - several amazing saunas. The gender-separated baths are simple but very relaxing. This is a great place to come and spend a full day relaxing and napping with a few friends or alone with a book. Massages and other treatments are also available for an additional price - I scheduled one once and it was pretty good. Overall, excellent place to come to have a pamper day. Make sure you get the Groupon deal beforehand - and enjoy!

Yelp
This was a very nice place. I got a Groupon deal for me and my friend to go so admission cost was only about $30 apiece. We easily could've spent all day here. I liked the different rooms. It's also nice relaxing place just hang out. I also really like the restaurant. We got a really good pho noodle dish. They have a free parking lot.

Yelp
The fantastic spa, steam rooms, and charcoal rooms are immaculate. The service is excellent. massage therapists are great. I will be back for sure. We spent half of the day, there is a cafe you can grab tasty food, smoothies, and soups. Perfect place to relax and pamper yourself.

Yelp
I think if you watch a short video or review on this place you will understand the rules and the etiquette. All the different rooms are fun and relaxing. It's fun to go with a small group of people. You can definitely spend hours here. I didn't opt for a scrub but I will definitely be back and book one of those treatments.

Yelp
This spot offers many rooms, unlimited towels, and a few other amenities to get you cleaned up for $50. Each room is unique and well kept. The common area is very clean, spacious and very open. Although there are a lot of people, you don't feel uncomfortable because there are plenty of private areas to take a nap and meditate. Completely worth the $50. The only downside is the cost of food. Not only are boba drinks and other Korean beverages $9... the all the food is $20. Veggie soup? $20. Bibimbop? $20. Chips? $3. I have never seen a more overpriced food menu at a Korean spa, but I'm gonna chalk it up to inflation. More so, it would have been forgivable if they gave somewhat of good sides like other Korean restaurants. But you get a tiny tiny side of julienned cabbage with dressing and a couple pickled jalapeños. I will return with friends... but next time, less hungry. Service 5 Vibe/aura 5 Price 2 (extremely expensive) Food 2 (not very good)

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out this korean sauna spot everything raves about for quite some time. When I got here, I realized that they probably oversold their tickets. The place was completely packed with an average of 10-12 people in each room. Their promotions on groupon and probably other sites definitely have worked (we got our Groupon for $28 per person). They have 11 rooms in total, I think. Most are sauna or some sort of healing rooms. I'm not sure if they actually work but the setups seem pretty basic compared with most of the similar places in Asia. The only one I liked was the infared light room which is supposed to have inflammation and anti-aging benefits. If you just want to give the experience a try, check their capacity before going to avoid three crowds.

Yelp
I really enjoyed King Spa. I will say the hot tubs were not hot :( and there were so many ppl talking in the sauna mail room and in the bath area. That was kinda annoying. Otherwise, loved all the sauna rooms. I was so relaxed and fell asleep upstairs where they have reclinable seats.

Yelp
Place very organized and clean also staffs are friendly. Convince location to first visitors.

Yelp
Always a sanctuary of rest and relaxation for myself and my family. We have been going for years and even after the pandemic unlike many other places that went out of business or reduced their quality, etc. King Spa and Sauna has never wavered. For the traffic they have they are always one of the cleanest businesses. You can't beat having a in-house restaurant and we have always enjoyed the food. We usually visit each of their rooms and floors at least once during our visits. About the only thing my spouse and I haven't enjoyed are their body scrubs. Other people might enjoy being slapped around like a piece of meat, we did not. However, your mileage may vary so I always say for a lot of things I will try them at least once and see what I think. Other than the body scrub and foot massage I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Yelp
Went for the first time today. Friday around 1130a. Wasn't super busy which was nice. There were definitely people walking around but not uncomfortably busy. I read all of the reviews like I'm sure you are. There's prob nothing new I cn add other than someone recommended to use the dry rooms first before the wet ones. I followed that advice and agree, it's better than getting wet first. I only had an hour of dry time before my scrub which felt a bit short so I would recommend allowing 1.5 - 2 hrs of dry rooms (the co ed part) before getting scrubs or using the wet space. One thing I missed was info about the room while in the room. I would have loved to be able to read about the benefits of the space I was sitting in while sitting there. (gold room, salt room, etc)

Yelp
Impressive dry area with lots of different rooms to try. One could even find several different places to take a quality nap. The wet area is a little disappointing, with only 4 pools to try and no interesting jets or anything like that. There is a steam room in the wet area but no dry sauna to go along with; I prefer sweating in the dry sauna but I'd like to be able to do that in the "wet-area-attire" and not just the uniforms of the dry area. Worth a visit for a relaxing day.

Yelp
945391718 Awful experience ! Right at the check in Young Woman was less than uninviting , may be if she smile ones it would make a difference. Reather Rude , uninterested . It felt like she doesn't belong at front desk! She was annoyed and bothered even irritated . After she scanned our Groupons she ask for our Driver licenses , really? There is your Name , adress, what's next? Social Security number? Or Bank Account? Just think for a minute when is the last time you were asked to leave your DL some-wear? That's not only personal information but your identity that could be easily copied or stollen. Not Ok We visited often since King Spa opened years ago ,but it's time to say goodbuy This place became bad in general compare to what it was. Will not recommend it to any one unless you enjoy to be talk down too as paying guest Shame on this business and on " Big Boss Manager Anthony " that had no personality of make this situation better , made it worst If you are a EU resident and you would like to appeal our decision, click here You can review your appeal options here

Yelp
so much dirtier than before Covid. came home and 20 mins after getting home a gross rash started appearing all over my back and stomach!! Called to tell them, they hung up on me. Offered absolutely no help or solution to help the rash. My doctor looked at the photo (I'd be happy to share if this site allowed it), said its common in unsanitary public baths/spas like Kind Spa. They don't clean or flush the pipes- hence the parasites/bacteria cause rashes. Do not go to this place....maybe they will see this and call me back?? Offer me my $50 entrance fee, and maybe the $180 I spent with their services. So disappointed. I used to enjoy this place years ago. This was my first and last time after Covid. Ick. Maybe under new ownership?? Whatever. Lesson learned.

Yelp
Wow, I haven't been to King Spa in years. My mom and I needed a night out to relax. We went on a Wednesday evening. We got there later than expected, a little past 8 PM. We planned to get dinner at h-mart next to King Spa and then go in, but all the food courts were closed early that day, so we decided to eat inside for the vibe knowing it'll be overpriced. Once again, it's been years, and I was shocked at the price increase. An admission fee is $50. If you stay past 1 AM or 2 AM, there is an additional $5 charge (if I remember correctly). There is an e-coupon that you can get by signing up online. It was pretty empty when we got in (thank goodness). We washed up (go if you're comfortable seeing naked people). You can get a towel and a uniform you wear inside. We changed and went to eat before the food court inside closed. I knew it would be overpriced, but it was so expensive than expected. Korean food should never be that expensive. We ordered a spicy rice cake which came out to be $17.79. It took a while for the food to come out, and the portion was small. I would've been pretty upset, but it was still tasty, but is it worth it? No. I can't imagine going on a day when it's busy and packed because even on a random weekday, some rooms were tight with people inside. If I were to go, I would go early during the day to get my money's worth. But I highly recommend food elsewhere (like H-Mart). Overall, if you've never been, I recommend checking it out once with friends or with your boothang.

Yelp
very rude, unprofessional 2 old women (grandmother) in food court, bad food, ill mannered, disrespectful to all customers.
