Roasted oysters were great, same with the oyster po boy. Service was slow, but once she arrived, she was consistent. The roasted oysters were our app and might have ordered more but our lunch entree were right behind. Will definitely go back.

Great dinner date! Some of the best Brussel sprouts I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly. These are all new items on the menu.

Had a great first visit and can't wait to come back! Service was great and timely. My food arrived 5 to 10 minutes after ordering and the drink was refreshing and delicious! Oysters were great! The window seat was great to watch the King Street sites.

I’ve been wanting some good oysters and based on the reviews, drove over an hour to get some from here. Definitely did not disappoint. Oysters were fresh and tasty. Will return again.

This has been our favorite place in Leesburg for years, and my husband and I have always enjoyed dining here. Today, however, I visited for lunch with my daughter and was disappointed by both the portion size and the quality of the food. I ordered the crab benedict, which was surprisingly small. The eggs were very bland and lacked flavor, and the side potatoes were quite skimpy. My daughter ordered the filet mignon from the kids’ menu and requested it medium rare, but it was cooked closer to well-done. I understand that costs are rising and that it’s challenging to run a restaurant in the current environment. That said, we would much rather pay a slightly higher price in exchange for the level of quality we’ve come to expect and have enjoyed in the past.

Friendly and punctual servers. Wide selection of fresh oysters, draft beers, desserts. What more could I ask for!

I was very pleased with our experience at this restaurant, not only were we able to be seated 15 minutes earlier than our reservation time but the food and drinks came out in a very timely manner. The atmosphere was wonderful and had a very cozy sort of feel, the oysters were fresh and delicious! I highly recommend getting there before happy hour ends as they have an awesome selection of drinks and appetizers, our entrees had just the right amount of food and allowed us room for dessert. The fish we ordered was also fresh and delicious however I do feel a bit more seasoning or salt was needed but other than that it was amazing. Our bill for two came to approximately $97 which included two alcoholic drinks, two appetizers including a half dozen oysters, two entree's and a dessert. This price was far more affordable than even red lobster and very surprising for a seafood restaurant in the given location. I absolutely recommend making a reservation if at all possible.

Small restaurant in a small town. Nice size restaurant and a good atmosphere. Suitable for family and friends. We just grabbed a quick drink and food after tennis match. Food was great meet a standard of typical oyster bar. There are also happy hour for oyster and small bite menu which is a great deal like $1 oyster. I loved my fish tacos which was wrapped by radish not flour, it was very tasty and light. My partner ordered lobster sandwich. It was just okay and almost $40. I guess it's a lobster. We grab 2 alcohol drinks, lobster, oyster, and fish taco for almost $120.

A very cute happy hour spot with decent diver offerings! Went here with a couple friends and was pleasantly surprised with the food! Had the bang shirt appetizer which was delicious! Had the chicken salad and fries as mains and they were both decent. The happy hour looked great and we will definitely be back and sit at the bar. Service was good as well.

What a delicious meal at King Street Oyster Bar. We visited on Christmas Eve with a reservation and the restaurant was warm and cozy. The staff was very kind, offering us a free appetizer after there was a mixup with the soup of the day. We ordered a lot of dishes as a family of six, the standouts being the scallop pasta and dubai chocolate brownie. The sauce on the pasta was so so good I will be thinking about it the rest of the week, however the scallops were slightly burnt on the outside. The dubai chocolate brownie was also incredible, we fought over the last bites with our spoons! We also enjoyed the oysters and oyster shooters, the shooters being stronger than expected. So glad we decided on King Street Oyster Bar for our Christmas Eve meal while visiting Leesburg.

Amazing. Different vibe Va Potomac location. Clams in garlic, fish of the day and crab cakes are melt in your mouth. Cozy but not too crowded. Great location. Professional but not snobby service. Yummy

Second time at this location. We sat in the front window section. Service was lacking. Took a while for anyone to take our order. It was a Saturday at 2:50pm. No one else was in the window section at the time. I ordered a mango margarita and the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. My wife ordered a glass of White Wine and got the Tuna Taco's. The sandwich and taco's were good. The bill was $63 dollars without tip. The Mango margarita was sixteen dollars. There are better deals to be found. Not returning.

Food was the amazing! We went during happy hour and ordered some oysters! They were perfect and came with a bunch of toppings. I have to shoutout the drinks in particular because the expresso martini is one of the best I've ever had and I get one everyone I go. 7$ for a margarita was also nice for HH. Definitely recommend the HH crab cake sliders. We also got the hush puppies which I thought were a little dry and could've used a different sauce. Other than that, everything else was perfect and our server was super sweet. I don't remember his name but he was very busy this Saturday night yet continuously checked on us!

I went during their happy hour and got their oysters 10/10. The buffalo chicken sliders were so good, we asked for the blue cheese on the side. Their margaritas were soooo good, I haven't had a good margarita in awhile, I was impressed. The waiter told us they have their own house mix. I love that it didn't have that artificial taste. Not pictured but we also got the fish and chips, also delicious! Love coming here.

We had a great experience at this establishment. From the atmosphere, to the service, and absolutely the food ... it was all quite wonderful! Regarding the food, we happen to arrive in time for Happy Hour and decided to order several small plates from both the Happy Hour menu and the standard so that we could sample their fare. And that was the right call! Some of the items we ordered were ... Korean Brussel Sprouts, Shrimp bites, crab cake sliders, Peruvian-style ceviche, spinach & artichoke dip. and I'm sure there were a few others. The standout dishes from what we tried were the crab cake sliders and the ceviche. Both had elements for freshness and were very well prepared. Looking forward to coming back!

King Street Oyster Bar is what you would expect. Something solid with an assortment of good options. The thing is that it's great for a happy hour / lunch vibe but there's something that's a bit too casual for the prices to have a sit down dinner at this location. To be fair, I don't think there are other comparable seafood places in the area unless you go out to Ford's Fish Shack. So I think the competition being slim, this place comes out as a top choice.

We like their HH time (every day) and menu. Very fresh oysters and good cocktails. Even from their normal items, we haven't had a bad dish yet. Also, very friendly service.

I had a great experience at the Middleburg location so of course this was a no brainer! I had the salmon entree which was great, but not as good as the one in Middleburg. The Mc & cheese is always decadent and a must! Hubby sampled different oysters and was pretty pleased. My girls had the salmon and grilled chicken from the kids menu and both were great portions and perfectly seasoned. Yayyy for great options for kids other than the usual chicken nuggets- extra points for that! Service unfortunately wasn't great, our server was very short and seemed a bit overwhelmed since she was the only one assisting all the tables (it wasn't as busy).

Wow! I love this place! Upbeat vibe - packed on a Saturday evening. Make reservations. Seafood is super fresh - my mussels were well cleaned and cooked perfectly. Gumbo was amazing- just the right spice and delicious. Tuna tacos - slightly seared- was looking for more tuna- 2 small slices in each taco. Service was fast and super friendly- I will come back to visit Leesburg again and have feast here! !

We've always loved this place and enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, we recently ran into an issue with a gift card that still had an available balance. After their switch to a new POS system, the remaining balance couldn't be found. We really wish this could be made right, and we can't help but wonder if others have experienced the same problem.

Never leave disappointed! I love King Street Oyster Bar. Service is always top notch, even when it's slammed they do not rush you. The food and happy hour specials are honestly one of the best in town. Do not hesitate to give this place a try.

I really enjoyed the food here! I love how they were able to accommodate my spicy palate--the chef made my dish extra spicy, and it was delicious. The service was warm and attentive, which made the experience even better. The ambiance could use some improvement, as the space feels a little tight, but it's not bad overall. I'd give this place 4 stars mainly for the seating, but the menu is great and the food is definitely worth trying!

The happy hour was thee best experience! 1.50 oysters, fried green tomatoes, steamed mussels, crab cakes, shrimp po boys ! The happy hour menu is huge! Everything's we ate was 10 out of 10! Most of the happy hour items are only $7!! A definite must try!! I forgot about the Brussel sprouts! Delicious! I loved the window seating and people watching as we ate! This place was great!

I was having a tough day and needed to get out! Everyone was so nice and welcoming! Happy hour and I had the oyster sliders.... The best oysters I have tasted! After 2 fried oysters I needed more but didn't want whole meal. The bartender Chris got me an order of fried oysters. There was a nice little crowd for Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm. I was surprised on how extensive the menu was. All the deserts are made in-house. Look forward to coming back soon!!!!

I've never heard a bad experience or ill word about this establishment. Walking in, the restaurant is small and unassuming. Saw a lot of couples on a date or a simple Monday dinner. The window seating was a little tight but so nice to be able to look out into the street. My bff and I stopped by on an otherwise dull Monday afternoon to celebrate her bday. We started with some yuzu shots. A mix of the citrusy Asian fruit with a light Pilsner. Absolutely Delish. I wish I could have this more often! The oyster on top had a yummy terriyaki! I also got the Kiwi beverage with vodka. It was strong without being overpowering and very refreshing and lightly sweet. Up next came the entrees. Everything sounded so delicious. It was truly challenging to choose just 1!!!! We will certainly have to return to try the others. I opted for the hot lobster roll. I have never had anything like it. I'm a self proclaimed crab OVER lobster girl so it was a BIG deal to try this. The roll was a thin and buttered to a light crisp piece of bread and full of sweet claw meat lobster. Nothing overpowered the lobster it all just complimented together to form the perfect bite. I think I could write a poem about this experience. It converted me. The cold version sounded good too but idk if I could ever opt for anything besides the perfection of what I got to sample. The fries were very well prepared as well! My bff opted for the scallop spaghetti. I got to sample a bite and it was heavenly. The spaghetti was cooked to the perfect consistency and the sauce was unique and well balanced. The scallops were large and juicy!!! Thank you to the staff for the birthday shots and great demeanor!! We will certainly be back and continue singing it's praises!

Happy hour review - Everyday 3-6:30! KSOB is such a great spot for happy hour. Always bustling and sometimes hard to find a seat but the food and drinks come out quickly and the staff is friendly and awesome. Love the tuna tacos served in a radish 'shell'. Save calories for the drinks! ;) Chop house burger with fries is impressive (especially for the hh price) Great draft beer list with several local breweries featured. Wine is good too! Love their NY Sour (bourbon, red wine, lemon juice) This is the original KSOB and is actually on King Street in downtown Leesburg. After dinner or hh, walk around and explore other bars and restaurants! Great date spot! Shout out to servers Dakota and Z! I don't know the bartenders names but they are always smiling and they definitely help the vibe!

Had a great experience Saturday night so went back Sunday. Sat at the bar and Bartender was inattentive - ate his lunch while I had to ask for refill on water and waited to pay. He couldn't be colder like I was a bother. Also chargrilled oysters Saturday night were spectacular - Sunday at noon w no one at the bar and restaurant not nearly as busy, they were shriveled and totally different (like no topping??) The service Saturday was fantastic - our server was attentive and had a great personality - and he was slam busy. Too bad cause usually bar service is better..

If you go in a Friday or Saturday night the place is very loud. The service is just ok and so is the food. If you are not going for great food and good wine but for a fun night then you'll enjoy it.

I LOVE THIS PLACE FOR THEIR HH!!! I think King Street Oyster Bar has one of the best HH menu! I came here twice during HH during the week I was in town for work! It is popular and very crowded during weekday HH, so come prepared! Their oysters are so fresh and delicious and popular, and every day is a different kind of oyster on their HH, so you can come every day of the week during HH to enjoy their super cheap selection of oysters! Beside that, their ceviche, tuna tacos, calamari were also delicious! So were their drinks. We also got grilled scallop and seafood pasta and although the seafood were good on both dishes, I didn't like their pasta too much. It tasted more like egg noodle to me.. It tasted like chow mein noodle in pasta dish more than traditional pasta noodle in seafood pasta. Other than that, I still love this place and would come here for their regular entrees and of course, HH!!

I go to a lot of oyster bars, happened to see this one while passing though and the Wife had said she wanted Crab cakes. We stopped in, about half full on a Sunday night but seemed like a swinging place good energy. We got the Rockefeller Oysters "wife not in to raw" they were very good. Wife got her crab cake also very good. I got fish and chips this is where things went south... both of our fries were soggy and oily and as I am sure you can guess from that so was my fish. Having cooked this myself at home and in restaurants my guess is the oil was not hot enough... the fish also was oily and not crisp, had no seasoning in the batter. The service was great can't complain about that! Very friendly. Would give another try but would stay away from anything fried. The slaw was good too.

My first time visiting and based on how packed it was I am assuming it is a local favorite. It was just 2 of us so we were seated by the front window which felt very crowded. But, we were only stopping for drinks and some apps while we waited to meet up with some friends, so it wasn't a huge deal. The server came within minutes with menus and water. We ordered a cocktail and a beer. The cocktail was so overpowered by the sour mix it did not blend well with the champagne OR the whiskey but considering how busy it was, we didn't want to be those people who sent it back so we just held our breath and finished the drink. After that, we were very hesitant to order any more drinks for sure! Food wise, we got several items, oysters, sliders and ceviche. I really liked the crab cake slider and the oysters were also very delicious! Clean, fresh and decently sized! The tuna tacos came wrapped in radish and personally, while it offered a very fresh flavor, I was not a fan of the crunchy and mushy combination. I am not too familiar with the area but looked like there were decent parking spots and a garage I believe nearby. We went in the evening before New Years so everything was pretty much closed by this point but worth checking out!

Went to the Middleburg location and loved it so I wanted to try the Leesburg location. My friend had some raw oysters and loved them. The tuna tacos were ok but very tiny and there wasn't much tuna- more guacamole than anything else. The oysters on the po boy were tiny, unlike some of the other pics and disappointing. I felt like I was eating mostly bread. The fries also weren't very warm or fresh. The crab dip and hush puppies were both delicious. Service was a bit slow as well and the AC wasn't working and it was quite stuffy.

We love this place. They have fabulous mixed drinks and a great wine selection. The calamari is my favorite- better than places at the beach. Our servers have always been friendly and helpful. Get there early as it does get crowded. The Middleburg location is in a neat building. I just wish I didn't live an hour away.

King Street Oyster always does it right. Went for happy hour today and stuck with the happy hour menu. The tuna tacos are insane. The buffalo sliders are incredible. The drinks are refreshing and unique. Service was fast and friendly. Always fun to sit in the window seats and people watch everyone on King Street. The best part is you leave feeling like you really got your monies worth. Will definitely be back.

Food - fantastic Service - great, knowledgeable Ambiance - laid back, enjoyable BUT it is loud. After having dinner w my sister we found we were both hoarse from trying to talk over the loud music. I hope someone from the bar reads this - please lower the volume a tad. It's not bad music - just too loud.

Wow! I've been waiting to eat here for a while but have found that the wait is usually too long. Coming on a Monday night a little later than normal dinner rush got me and my mom a table. Definitely try to make reservations if you are going at a busier time in the day as I'm my experience there is usually a wait. The wait was well worth it though as the food was amazing! We ordered multiple kinds of raw oysters; our favorite being the " Sweet Jesus" as it was a milder but still salty oyster. We also ordered oyster Rockefeller which was good but next time we may stick to the raw oysters as you get more for less money. My mom ordered the salmon and especially loved the mashed cauliflower. I ordered the chicken fingers which were good but I felt the dish was mostly fries and slaw and not much chicken. Service was very friendly, we had multiple servers check on us. They were a little slow but they still had a full restaurant so it is understandable. The ambiance felt a little crowded as the place is small and tables are very close together. Because of this it can get a little loud. The restaurant itself was very clean and nice looking though. Definitely give this place a try!

Oysters had bits of shell in them. When mentioned to the waitress she tried to play it off by saying the grilled oysters had bread crumbs in them. Big difference between a bread crumb and a shell. The first couple bites of my pasta had crunchy bits in it. Leads me to believe the kitchen is not very clean. While eating our food the staff began sweeping the carpet very close to us. No one wants floating bits stirred up from sweeping the carpet while trying to eat their food. At the end my wife had some food still and they asked if we wanted a box. We said no and they took the plate away even though she was not done eating it yet. 100% would not recommend this place.

Always great food here. Obviously they are known for their oysters, but you really can't go wrong with any of the seafood dishes. I've dined here numerous times and regardless of the day of the week, if you are going around dinner time, you really need to make a reservation or you risk waiting a long time for a table. The place isn't that big, and they certainly do the best they can to maximize seating capacity, but it is still not much in comparison to the demand. The staff have always seem friendly, but I get the impression they are short staff as they just always seem to be in a hurry and rushing about. Not a complaint, just an observation. I would describe the restaurant's decor or "theme" as rustic which is a fitting way to incorporate into the building and overall historic area it's located in. Despite its more casual setting, you can easily get away with making it a part of a "fancy" night out as the food is just amazing quality and taste, so you will feel like you're eating in a place must finer than it's "appearance". The oysters have always been great. They always have a variety to choose from and the wait staff have always been happy to explain the difference between them. I have tried a few seafood dishes and appetizers, and have found them to be great tasting, well prepared and fairly priced for the portion size. There is a public garage a very short distance away that gives you the first two hours for free, so parking isn't a hassle. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program to earn money off future visits!

I came here twice during my three-week stay in the area, sat at the bar each time, and was taken great care of by Mike. He made excellent recommendations for selecting raw oysters, and he did great! The oysters were all fresh and clean tasting - well shucked and easy to eat. I love the touch of their house made hot sauce coming in a dropper bottle. The vinegars were also flavorful. I mostly stuck to the hot sauce or the traditional cocktail sauce/horseradish combo for dressing my little servings of deliciousness. Oh, and those hush puppies - best ever. They are full of good chunks of corn and some spiciness - peppers? They had a slight heat that made them unique. The atmosphere here was almost as vibrant as the food. Granted, I had a narrow dining focus, but all the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I hope to come back someday to this quaint little restaurant in a quaint little town.

We stopped by after driving through Leesburg, looking for a coffee shop. My cousins were in town from Massachusetts, and as soon as he saw "oyster bar" we had to stop by. They had local parking, which was free for holiday parking . The walk was short, and when we walked in, we wete seated right away. We were able to wait for Happy to start, which is everyday from 3-630. Our server, Andrew, was super friendly and attentive. He was also helpful with deciding which oysters to get and answering questions about drinks. My cousin ordered various oysters and took advantage of the $1 guppy hour oysters. We also got spinach dip and wings to share. The sangria was really tasty and had a spice flavor to it. I opted for an espresso martino, which wasn't bad. Overall, good experience and would definitely go back.

A friend and I stopped here to eat at around noon on a Sunday before heading to some nearby wineries. We didn't have reservations, but we were able to grab seats at the bar right away. The brunch menu is extremely limited, so I asked the bartender if they had the lunch menu available. I was told not until 2pm, so I went ahead and begrudgingly ordered a lobster omelette from the brunch menu. My friend got the steak burrito with the home fries on the side. I'm not sure if my definition of an omelette is different from others, but what I was served was not an omelette - it was a few scrambled eggs fried hard, with a small amount of lobster thrown in before being plated, and some hollandaise sauce on top. Very disappointing. In the meantime, I learned that I was given incorrect information and could indeed order from the lunch menu, so I ended up sending the meal back to order some other items. According to my friend, the steak burrito was decent. We got the crab dip, gumbo, and lobster roll. The crab dip was good, but could use just a bit more seasoning. The gumbo initially came out cold, but once they brought back another bowl hot, we enjoyed it. Not spectacular if you're used to gumbo from the South, but it will do. The lobster roll was great! I ordered it hot, and it tasted pretty good, with the bread being perfectly soft and buttered. Our cocktails were also well made - I highly recommend the smoked pineapple margarita. Overall, I'm not super impressed with the food, but despite a few hiccups, the service made up for the experience. They definitely get some cool points for having happy hour 7 days a week. I think this is where patrons of the establishment will get the most value.

I have been here a bunch of times and always have a good time. Oysters here are reliably awesome! Cocktails are super good. They are mixed to perfection! If you come here and you are not getting a cocktail you are missing out. Happy hour menu is great. Most dishes are excellent but french fries are meh and salad options tend to be bland. The service is excellent. Bartenders are nice and I like sitting at the bar. The Leesburg location is far better than the one in Potomac. It has a similar menu but somehow everything is better here.

We had a great time at happy hour here! We came in for oyster happy hour and ended up getting two dozen. We also tried the crab cake sliders, which are phenomenal, although you only get 2 per order for happy hour. I also loved the frozé. We were seated at the window bar right away despite the restaurant being pretty busy and our server was pleasant and attentive. Can't wait to return.

I always love coming here, it's a bit of a hike but there's also a DC location if that's more convenient. I love the ambience very cozy but plenty of natural light to help it feel like you're not in a cave. There is indoor and outdoor seating along with bar, window bar, booth, and traditional seating. I would not recommend coming with a party they do have high tops that can seat 6 but there is always the chance of a longer wait. Service is great, always kind sometimes talkative and other times busy but never too busy to be rude. The food is such high quality seafood! I love oysters in the half shell and will ALWAYS order them here. Their crab cakes are a close runner to a Maryland crab cake IMO. And their pastas are 12/10.

Come to Leesburg and come to King Street Oyster Bar! This was our first time in Leesburg but it definitely isn't going to be last time. :) They close the street from Fri-Sun (I heard from my hostess) so restaurants can provide patio dining experience on the side walk. Then, the main road becomes space for pedestrians. Brilliant idea!!!! Frose (Frozen Rose): sweet and sour! Very tasty!!! Oyster: fresh and affordable during happy hours ($1/oyster) Hushpuppies: okay. Nothing special Carb slider: cute and yummy Burger: great portion for happy hour meal Spinach dip: awesome Tuna taco:y least favorite from what we tried. They used pickled radish instead of taco shell, which was refreshing. But it wasn't my cup of tea. (Maybe it will be yours though ) Parking was easy to find and was free after 5PM on Friday! Overall, it was amazing and we are looking forward to coming back to this little street.

We were just stopping by for a quick bite before we went back to the hotel to get ready for a wedding. Excellent shrimp, oysters and chowder. Love the Puff the Magic Dragon drink, a little spicy but delicious. Excellent oyster Rockefeller. Nice size shrimp cocktail and cooked to perfection. Very good crab corn chowder and gumbo.

We had high expectations since we thoroughly enjoyed the Middleburg location, but unfortunately lunch at Leesburg was a let down. Beer tasted old and was not cold enough Entrees arrived before oysters Oysters were completely destroyed by the shucker, and muddy inside. Fried fish was completely greasy, not fried hot enough. Mussels were gritty, we ended up sending this back and it was not removed from the bill. Also, it felt like the AC was set to 80 degrees, so hot inside. This was a very expensive let down, we will not be back

Ordered to go, got us some recommended oysters from the guy at the bar, cheese oysters, mussels, burgers, filet mignon, lobster roll, and crab cake. Everything was good, everyone enjoyed their meal. Oysters tasted fresh, crab cake was tasty, wasn't as plump as others that I have had. The boys enjoyed their burgers. Definitely will have to come back and try dine in.

Definitely one of my FAVORITE local spots! This place is casual but don't let that fool you cause the food is BOMB! I'm not a fan of bar food and I like quality taste. I can say I've come here more times than I can count and it has not disappointed me. They literally have the best HH deals. Although the price has gone up over the years from $5 to $7 the food is great... hopefully it doesn't go any higher or it won't be a deal anymore lol. Make a reservation if you're partaking in HH on a Thursday or Friday. This place is not huge and gets very packed. I had dinner here for the first time and it won't be the last. I got the Monterey chicken salad but with grilled chicken instead of crispy. My date got the Macadamia Mahi. We both reallyyyy enjoyed our food! I'll deff come here for dinner again. We did a walk in no reservation and was able to get seated easily on a Tuesday night. Service was great and attentive!!

Frequent place I visit with my partner and friends. Their happy hour is unmatched, from their cocktails to food to oysters. The salmon BLT sliders are excellent. I always get the NY sour. I recently tried the apple pie and bread pudding, both sooo yummy! Can't wait for next happy hour!
