This spot in Jersey City Heights is a hidden gem if you're into bold, flavorful Chinese food. The flavors are rich, the spice is real (not just for show), and the portions are generous. It’s the kind of place where everything just tastes like it was made with care. The vibe is casual—nothing fancy—but clean and comfortable. Service is friendly and efficient, and the staff is always helpful if you have any questions or preferences. Overall, it’s one of those local places you end up going back to regularly. Great food, good prices, and a solid option whether you're picking up or dining in. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and craving something satisfying.

Google
Best Szechuan in town! I recommend Dining-in for the Szechuan/House Specialties dishes. They must be served hot on a plate, take-out containers don't do it justice!! I personally recommend the H22 boiled fresh fish filet, or the H4 bean curd fish filet. Their dumplings are great as well!

Google
the rice is absolutely disgusting in this place. it was mushy it was soft it was nasty it was bland no flavor my first time and last time going here. what a complete waste me and my son cannot finish the food and my son never turns down food

Dani Kat

Google
As a Latino, I really enjoy Chinese food. It’s healthy, tasty, and affordable. They always serve generous portions, and I’m a regular customer. They recently hired new staff at the front counter, and they are very nice. Thank you for being there!

Google
King szechuan is like that psychotic ex who you know is bad, but has you so hooked that you just can't move on.. you roll the dice each time each time you order from here, but when things align.. boy is it amazing.. Would definitely recommend the chong qing chicken, the bok choi and the hot and sour soup.

Daniel Park

Google
Received order from DoorDash. Found a roach in the wonton dish. What a terrible experience. Don’t order from here!

Google
I don’t usually leave reviews, but KSP is one of our favorite spots for takeout in the area! The people here are the best & the food is consistently fresh & delicious. Would highly recommend!

Ali Freeman

Google
the best chinese takeout in Jersey City! the mapo tofu, buddhist delight, string beans, and cold sesame noodles are particularly amazing. highly recommend!

Yelp
One of the best take out spots in jersey city. I had their chicken lomain and it was hitting! Also I tried their orange chicken and was really impressed with the quality of their food. I would say definitely go here if you're looking for a takeout night. My only con was that the fortune cookie was hella dry but who cares if the food slaps ! 10/10

Yelp
This was hands down the most disgusting food I was ever served. The scallion pancake was so oily that my hands were covered in grease just picking up 1 slice. It was also rubbery. The "Homemade Ice Tea" tasted like garlic & had a small bug floating in it. The lemon must have been cut on a dirty cutting board that was used to slice other spicy ingredients. The sesame noodles were tasteless & oily. The Buddhist Delight is mixed Chinese veggies with a brown sauce, but the sauce did not taste good, & they included regular cut up tomatoes in the mix which caused it to be watery. They also included chicken that I did not order, & this chicken did not resemble any chicken that I have ever consumed. It was wrinkly, curled up, & just weird looking. While the food came fast & was affordable, I was highly disappointed & threw most of it away. I didn't bother calling the store for a refund because this place is obviously way below my standard for consumption, & I blame myself for even thinking this might be ok even hungover. Stay away!

Yelp
Ordered take out from here for the first time tonight. I would say this place is okay. I ordered soup dumplings, crab rangoons and the chongqing chicken. The soup dumplings were okay. I asked for a side of chili sauce which elevated them. The soy ginger sauce they give for it were excellent as well. The sauces elevated an average dumpling. The crab rangoons were the star of the dinner. The filling was scallion heavy over sweet which I personally enjoy more. It didn't come with sweet and sour but using the soy ginger sauce was great with them. Some of the best I've had. The chongqing chicken was definitely on the spicy side so be aware. I'm the biggest issue was that the chicken was dry. Wish there was a type of sauce that came with this. This place was good but i don't know if I would order from them again

Yelp
i wish i liked this place more, the reviews seemed so promising! everything we got was kind of bland... portions were pretty big though. my boyfriend & i ordered delivery via grubhub. beef & tripe in chili oil was flavorless + not spicy. general tso's chicken & shrimp tasted different... it's less sweet than how it's usually made and i had to add duck sauce to supplement the flavor. stir fried singapore rice noodle was good. not the best i've had but the best out of everything else i ordered. broccoli in garlic sauce was mid and for some reason had sweet & sour sauce on it as well... i'd order from your local hole-in-the-wall instead ‍

Yelp
This is my regular Chinese spot. I love that they have vegetarian options that aren't just veggies. I usually get the vegetarian orange beef. I will say I've tried their other vegetarian meat options and I haven't loved them as much.

Yelp
Great food. Szechuan chicken is the vest. Garlic eggplant is worth to die fir as well

Yelp
After many recommendations I finally tried King Szechuan and have only good things to report. We got the sauteed eggplant, soup dumplings, chicken and broccoli, chicken lo mein and veggie fried rice. All of that came out to around $60 so really not bad!! Okay, the favorites: The soup dumplings stole the show for me. Finally I found soup dumplings without that thick dough skin. The meat in the dumpling and the broth had so much flavor (but I will say there was not much actual broth). Can't wait to get these again. Other favorites were the eggplant - cooked perfectly and loved the oil that had just the tiniest kick. The chicken and broccoli was delicious and fried rice was a wonderful side to have as well. The lo mein was just okay but I still really enjoyed it. Other good things to report: I love that they don't charge extra for brown rice, ordering was very easy via Yelp and ready quickly. It might take awhile if you are picking up because the people that work the counter are also probably cooking so just be patient. Also be sure to ask for chopsticks if you want them! They weren't in the bag so making a mental note to be sure to grab a pair next time. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.

Yelp
(Took Out 12/25/21 SA @ 6:45pm): This palace was the szechuan food king on this Christmas evening! On Day 6 of my vacation as I visited a very dear friend for the Christmas and New Year holidays, it was Christmas Day, our initial dinner plan was postponed, and it was definitely slim pickings with so many businesses closed except for King Szechuan Palace. Having earlier watched "A Christmas Story", it felt appropriate to have Chinese takeout food - "fra ra ra ra ra... ra ra ra raaa"! I've made a concerted effort to try various types of food while on this vacation. How was this non-traditional Christmas meal as we celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ!? PURCHASE Qt. General Tso's Chicken ($13.00): This reminded me more of orange chicken, a large portion of lightly spicy tender chicken bits on a small bed of broccoli florets that was a welcoming start to our meal https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=POorKcMJLo8q03S6302klA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Broccoli In Garlic Sauce ($11.95): I loved broccoli, so these bushels of crowns bathed in sweet and tangy garlic sauce was a treat especially over some rice https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=VDwOgdLyiPVck1eRALKSlQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Sautéed String Beans ($11.95): Another large portion, I wanted more vegetables since I lacked any while on this vacation. These were fresh with a light crisp rather than a limp even with all the sauce while the chili flakes gave it some nice heat https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Kuhz7SYl-wyv6OCgPMATbQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Qt. Pork Lo Mein ($9.00): With oodles of noodles and a lot of pork pieces, it seemed there were more flecks than bite-size bits. There were minimal vegetables, but thankfully the noodles separated easily although not very oily https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=OASXiO7jczl9jSZ3xbULKA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Qt. Hot & Sour Soup ($4.50): The price was incredible! This was filled with a ton of bamboo shoots, egg, mushrooms, and tofu slices, while the broth was the perfect combination of hot, savory, and sour that helped warm my body in the evening's very cold temperature - an absolutely wonderful soup https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=XoLZ3WpG3vJfNR05BorN8g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! Steamed White Rice (COMP w/Entrée): Provided with each entrée (three total), it was always cool when they included rice without being charged. Standard rice with nothing truly special but paired well with the chicken and vegetables https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=qJVR6CeSnzl0lOwSRzyWng&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. SERVICE I initially called several times with no answers, so we took a chance and walked to the restaurants with hopes they were open. Thankfully, they were but were slammed by various delivery orders and behind schedule based on a limited staff (I saw a total of three workers). Regardless, a stressed but cool woman took my in-person order, I paid, and decided to explore the neighborhood just to get out of their hair. We returned thirty minutes later to less of a crowd and our food all packed and ready to go. With a "happy holidays" to them, we were off to enjoy our Christmas meal. Under pressure, they did a great job for us! PARKING (FREE; N/A in this instance) We walked, so parking wasn't an issue. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots along the main drag of Reservoir Ave. and all surrounding streets - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A no-frills small restaurant with a short waiting area, a couple chairs/tables, and a thick protective plastic that separated the order/pick-up counter and the open kitchen because of COVID-19. There were printed menus on the counter https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=A_-pX3-KVyFSNeg7RcTKdQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw with some random food pictures without prices on the wall above the counter. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front windows and door while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs or background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rYI7tk4CPDtLQ1jLi2kqkw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Temperatures were in the 30s, so I was bundled-up from head-to-toe. Otherwise, this place was totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I was extremely grateful that King Szechuan Palace was open this Christmas night. The food was tasty (minor modifications), huge portions, comparable prices, vast menu selection, and very good service all-things considered. And, it was always a pleasure to support small local mom & pop businesses like this one. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $56.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Yelp
Still my favorite take-out Chinese in JC. They hand make their wonton dumplings and they are so good. If you pick up sometimes can see the lady making them. Also their vegetarian dishes are delicious. Take out / delivery only so their prices are good and service is excellent.
google avatar

Roberto M.

Yelp
Gotta love King Szechuan! Only the best in JC and especially the heights. Portions are great sizes and it's always delicious. Been going here for years and happy to be back in town to order more! Scallion pancakes are clutch, gotta get them spicy beef noodle soup, it's slamming chicken lo mein, a staple in the area really can't go wrong with anything, both traditional and americanized menus!

Dev C.

Yelp
rose: so many veggie options!! i love the vegetarian mapo tofu, vegetarian general tsos chicken, and the veggie chili wontons. all sooo good!!! thorn: my only complaint is that it's not right next to my apartment bud: i would eat here everyday if i could

Yelp
This is our absolute favorite szechuan chinese takeout place in the area. We order from here at least 2 times a month and our favorite go-to dish is Chongquing Chicken. It is this spicy chicken dish that is cooked with sichuan chicken pepper which have a tingling effect on the tongue. If you like spicy food, this is a must try. We also like their dumplings and scalion pancakes. The cashew chicken is another go-to dish. They typically deliver within 30-45 min and sometimes it's even less than that. The staff is also funny and nice. Once they had messed up our order and we called them, first they denied messing it up and then they told us we can get that same dish for free "next time". They didn't take our name down or anything. We never took them up on the offer but it was nice of them to say that we could do that (although we are not even sure if they would actually have given us the free dish next time).

Yelp
My star rating is mainly due to the food they offer here. I think this place has a lot of great authentic Szechuan dishes, and those are going to be the best ones this place has to offer if you like Chinese food with a kick. The mapo tofu, spicy beef noodle soup, and chili wontons and dumplings are delicious but definitely have me going back for a drink every few bites due to the spice. I have also ordered the roast duck noodle soup from here and it is important to note that they did not cut the meat from the bones for that dish, so my soup included the meat, bones, and some innards, so certain dishes may not be for the squeamish. The spicy beef noodle soup was not like this though. I personally do not prefer dishes where I need to bite the meat off bones, but I wouldn't dock points for that since it is a preference, though I do think it would be good to provide more description of their dishes on their online menu. They are mainly equipped to do takeout here so if you go to dine-in it will be a somewhat strange experience since you will be seated in a small space between the door and the cashier, with the woman at the front having to multi-task between waitressing and handling orders at the front. I typically do not expect there to be stellar service at restaurants like this because I know the main focus is food not atmosphere, but I know this can throw people off of a place, so I recommend this as a takeout place rather than a dine-in.

Yelp
On a side street beyond the orbit of the Times, bloggers and podcasters, King Szechuan serves up the lo mein and General Tso's chicken expected from a local takeout joint alongside a vast array of spicy concoctions. I haven't yet checked out the Hot Sauce Style or Spicy Green Style categories yet, but I certainly recommend the Double Cooked and Cumin Styles, with tonight's option being lamb. The sauce was ideally situated toward the high side of medium. My appetizer choice of spare ribs was less adventurous yet still appealing.

Yelp
Pretty authentic Szechuan style chinese take out. Their Americanize dishes are also good. Food is always fast for delivery. Love their shrimp roll, shredded chicken in pecking sauce, chong qing chicken and kung pow chicken.
google avatar

Nupur B.

Yelp
Ordered dumplings and Gui zhou spicy chicken from here. I was not happy with my meal Dumplings were doughy with little flavor and not enough soup Gui Zhou spicy chicken is mentioned under their house Szechuan menu and I was disappointed that these were not at all spicy and too sweet :(

Yelp
Prompt and great food. Service was nice. Cannot comment on ambiance as I ordered for pick up.

Yelp
This is great if you live in the area. I'm a big fan of mapo doufu/tofu; theirs is very good, spicy, flavorful, and rich. Highly recommend going here just to try it out. Unfortunately, their soup dumplings are not good. They're always ripped, so they have no soup in them. Additionally, there's also no soup in the take out container, so even if they weren't ripped, there's still no soup in them. I would massively avoid these. Their dishes are hit or miss, but when you find a good one, it's generally _really_ good.
google avatar

Allison T.

Yelp
I had a want for real Szechuan food and remembered this was a place with Szechuan in the name. Ordered & walked over in the cold, breathing heavily & hungrily in my KN95 mask. Got the dumplings in that spicy sauce I remembered being awesome. Still awesome! Got the Mapo Tofu with Minced Pork. Huge amount and I could choose my level of spicy. Big soft hunks of tofu and a great chunky sauce. I added a lil sweet duck sauce later to balance it out, but it's great & well done. Got something I saw posted a lot, the Beef and Tripe in Chili Oil. Epic spicy goodniss-niss with wonderful texture and absorbance of sauce & toppings. It's a cold dish, but even when I nuked it with some leftovers, it didn't disappoint. So far they are the best spot for Szechuan in their area. I would 'Hey Now Hi-5' the cooks.
google avatar

Pearce D.

Yelp
Best Chinese in the area if you value authenticity versus the more Americanized version. Just be careful with the spice level - no joke how spicy it can get. Go with any of the dry pots, sesame or Sichuan noodles, cucumbers, dumplings/wontons or the "spicy noodle with minced"

Daniel P.

Yelp
Ordered through DoorDash. As you can see in the photo, a roach came as part of the wonton with chili sauce. We called and they didn't even acknowledge our concern... Don't order from here!
google avatar

Dani A.

Yelp
I'm so happy I live 2 blocks from these guys. Authentic Szechuan for the folks who like legit Chinese food, and Americanized menu items for those who want something a lot tastier than Panda Express. Let's get this straight, right from the beginning: This is a restaurant you order for take-out or delivery, you're not gonna eat here (COVID), and you probably don't want to eat here. In the past, I've ordered the Beef and Trip in Chili Oil, Black Mushroom with Baby Bok Choy, Bean Curd Fish Fillet, and Mapo Tofu with Minced Pork. Everything was savory, and delicious. That which was supposed to be spicy, indeed was. My wife has ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and Eggdrop Soup. I personally found them to be so-so. I wasn't wowed like I was with their other dishes. She enjoyed them and had no complaints. The only thing I always do is ask for no ginger and no peanuts. Li is the gal who answers the phone. She's direct and to the point, but in person she's very sweet and smile a lot. They accept cash and cards, what more could you want? I just placed another order, my mouth is watering...

Yelp
Back when my friends lived in the area, we used to order from this place all the time. It's been a couple years since they moved from there, but when the craving hit and nothing nearby would satisfy me, I decided to take a 30 minute drive to see if King Szechuan was like how I remembered it to be, and I'm happy to say they're still great! For takeout Chinese, the Szechuan flavors here are no joke. Tongue numbing spiciness. I wouldn't get their Americanized Chinese food because you don't order from here for that. You get the authentic dishes and they are surprisingly authentic. My go to dishes are fish fillet with bean curd. I haven't been able to find a place that satisfies my cravings like this place does unless I go into the city. Honey chicken is also very good. Chicken and eggplant is also great. This time I got baby bok choy with black mushroom, fish fillet bean curd, and beef in tripe in chili oil. Everything was exactly how I remembered it to be. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for strong Szechuan flavors. Honestly a deal for the quality they provide at the prices. Will be back if I'm ever in the area and craving Szechuan! Don't get Americanized food here! They're Szechuan is the real deal!

Yelp
I've been a frequent customer of this restaurant for about 3 months now. They have great Mapo tofu and fish fillet dishes, but their noodle dishes and pork dishes are pitifully underwhelming. Overall, it's been a rather inconsistent experience. Some $7 dishes are out of this world, while other $15 to $25 items dishes were a pure waste of money. I wasn't sure if it was the recipe or the chef that was causing this issue. So I purposely chose one of the higher-priced item on their menu today: Braised Whole Fish w. Hot Bean Sauce - $24.95. It's gotta be good, right? Nope, I feel like I just wasted my money. I'd rather order their $7 lunch specials 3 times than having to eat this crap again. I even had to ask for the brown rice because they forgot to include it in. This place needs a major menu overhaul. They have to focus on dishes that they do well, and get rid of other dishes with mediocre recipes that will result in a bad review like this one. $25 for sweet and sour sauce goopy mess. HAIYAAAAAAA Also reviewed on Google.

Yelp
Ordered delivery. Was ok. Most was fine - your standard Chinese dishes but I will say the Dragon and the Phoenix stood out as tastier than expected. The straight up bad: the seafood noodle soup - no noodles, peas were raw, shrimp was rubbery.
google avatar

Vanessa R.

Yelp
Love this food very authentic the vegetarian tso chicken is so good def something to try out
google avatar

Kyle R.

Yelp
King Szechuan is pretty good Chinese food. It seems like they pride themselves via their menu to have traditional and Americanized Chinese dishes. I've same both from the traditional and American, can't tell much of a difference. I think it's pretty straight forward Chinese takeout done well.
google avatar

Anshmeet A.

Yelp
Tofu soup was very good and soothing. Noodles could have been better was accepting it to be shanghai style. Fried rice were good but low on salt.

SG C.

Yelp
Incredibly good and tasty Szechuan dishes! The food is always fresh and full of flavor. We ordered chicken lo mein, soup dumplings, chong qing spicy chicken, and sautéed eggplant. The food is umami and spicy giving it a nice kick. The service and delivery are always quick and excellent! King Szechuan Palace is definitely the place to go!

Yelp
We ordered from here a couple of days ago using EAT24.com. On the first order for this place you get 15% off. After reading many good reviews I think I have found my new go to place for Chinese. We ordered several appetizers, scallion pancakes based on the reviews, boneless spare ribs and steamed dumplings. Since it was a cold night we also added a large Wonton soup. For entrees, I went with the General Tso's Shrimp and the wife had the ginger pineapple chicken with garlic sauce. They allow you to choose the amount of heat you want on a scale of one to ten. For mine we went with a 2 and the wife's a 4. Both entrees were very tasty and had just the right amount of heat. I really liked the pineapple in my wife's dish it soaked up a lot of the garlic flavoring. It wasn't overpowering. The scallion pancakes are as good as the reviews say. And I am a big fan of the boneless spare ribs. The delivery time was 45 to 60 minutes but we got our food on about 30 minutes which I really appreciated. We will definitely be ordering from here again since our old place has since closed.
google avatar

Julie M.

Yelp
Decided to order from here on a whim and really glad we did! The vegan/vegetarian menu was what had us make the final call. There were so many options to choose from but we went with the highly suggested veggie wontons in chili sauce and they were delicious. We also ordered the veggie dumplings, vegetarian sesame chicken and broccoli, shrimp fried rice, and veggie lo mien. For two people, this was two days worth of food and plenty filling. Only disappointment of the whole meal was being given a pork dumpling in our veggie ones, I just wish they'd be more careful with that for dietary restrictions.
google avatar

Benjamin W.

Yelp
Real authentic Szechuan style dishes. What a gem and I'm really happy I found this restaurant. The delivery came promptly and the delivery guy was super friendly, which is a pleasant surprise. I look forward to ordering from them again. Good portions, and food done the right way!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
Got delivery from here and the food was just okay. I would recommend getting their scallion pancake, very delicious! Their hot and sour soup was good too, not too spicy which is what I like. I then got the fish filet ginger and scallion sauce. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Majority of it was onions and scallions, I felt like i barely had any fish. That was disappointing.

Matt L.

Yelp
King Szechuan is our new go to Chinese place since moving to JC. Their americanized food is amazing but their Szechuan menu is what I find myself craving regularly. Also, their dumplings in chili sauce are absolutely delicious.
google avatar

Toni S.

Yelp
Last night I would've given this place two or three stars, but after waking up this morning with severe food poisoning and hanging my head over a toilet for 20 minutes, I wish I could rate this zero stars. First of all, we ordered two very simple dishes--general tso's chicken and general tso's tofu. It was a weekday night around 8:30PM, a presumably slower time for restaurants. Delivery took nearly an hour. Our food was so soggy it just barely passed the mark of being edible. Needless to say I will never order from here again.

Louis Z.

Yelp
Not good at all, ordered pork and garlic sauce and they gave me the wrong order, Chicken lol mein! WTF? When I went back to tell them, they made it right but, the food was lousy. Maybe this style of cooking is for certain people but, I ain't one of them.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
I think this is my favorite place to order Chinese from in Hoboken. A friend of mine turned me on to this place a couple years ago but since I recently moved to a location that they deliver to in Hoboken. I was excited to see they deliver. The Sezchuan pork is really great. I need to order it less spicy than it comes because it definitely packs a lot of heat. But delicious!! I don't use the rice with it- trying to be low carb when possible. The delivery is great, they are pretty fast and always friendly when they arrive.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Ordered Hunan Duck and it was basically all bone and skin. For $16 I would expect a lot more dick and less broccoli- carrots and snow peas. The egg rolls and egg drop soup were great. I will try the boneless duck another time but undecided when I will order here versus kwok or other places

Isaac L.

Yelp
Just ordered take out for the first time based on their reviews and our specific craving for Wontons in Chili sauce. It was delicious! The combo of chili and peanuts is heaven. Also had the Chong Qing spicy chicken and that was hands down the best Chinese dish I've had in years. Only reason for the 4 and not the 5 stars is that the beef lo-Mein was a bit bland flavor wise. However, will say that it wasn't super greasy (which I appreciate). Highly recommend it if you're into Szechuan spicy food!
google avatar

Kim F.

Yelp
This legit is the best Chinese restaurant around. The fried rice is so good not too greasy or old oil taste. It's fresh! The beef and broccoli is the best I've ever had. It's fast cheap and just so yummy! Must try this spot. I'll never go to another spot again!
google avatar

James I.

Yelp
Wouldn't know how good the food is, it never came. Called back multiple times after an hr, no pick up either. Might give them a chance again, but not for a while. Thanks for nothing!
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
While I had issues with the phone lady in the past, I have moved on. The food is great. As authentic as you can get for Szechuan. They kill every dish. If you get generic american chinese its ok but it doesn't say King fried rice & chicken wings on the door for a reason. Chicken in black pepper sauce is dynamite. its not on the menu but they'll make it. Take a chance on any special dish. You can't go wrong. Why they do not have house mustard is beyond me. Start making or buying it!
google avatar

Azad N.

Yelp
What I got : Duck noodle soup Bok Choy with black mushrooms Overall, It's somewhere in between decent and good. The egg noodles were on point but the duck broth was lacking serious umami. Bok Choy and black mushrooms was solid, if not on the saucy side, and the brown rice on the side was fine.

Yelp
Been on a search for some good Chinese food in the JC heights area, and this place unfortunately fell short. Based off the reviews I thought I finally found a reliable spot, but my order yesterday was far from satisfying. Started off with scallion pancakes, odd texture and tasteless, so off the bat I was disappointed. Followed by won ton soup - it was okay, pretty standard. Chicken Lo mein, hard to mess this up but it just was not good.. tasted like ramen noodles. And finally, steamed chicken with broccoli - the chickens texture was very, very weird. Hard to chew, don't even know how to describe it. Turned me off completely and couldn't finish it. I don't like to leave reviews like this, especially during these times.. but I was overall very disappointed in the quality. My search for a good Chinese spot in the heights continues.. anyone have any suggestions?

Yelp
Don't order your food from online. The price are higher than the menu!! I just moved to the area and looked up places on yelp and found this place. Notice that on yelp there is no menu! So you go to seamless or grub hub and look up the menu. The prices are way higher than the menu in the restaurant, which was put in my bag once I picked it up. So if you order from here don't do it online. I even called grub hub to tell them this and the person I spoke to DID NOT care and told me to call the restaurant. Like they're gonna tell me they have higher prices online, and are gonna give me my money back!?! This had totally turned me off and I should have known something was up because of the area. The prices online are so high!! So watch out. I'm pregnant and they just lost a customer that would have ordered twice a week!!

Yelp
I lived in Jersey City years ago, this is the best Chinese in town. It's so good that I'll drive an hour and a half round trip to satisfy my family's cravings! Seriously the best, and the folks that work there could not be nicer.

Yelp
Having worked in food services for years, customer service is a HUGE plus for me when I get the respect I deserve. That's why, I'm giving this place a bad review. I can't say their food isn't good because it really is. However, when I'm treated like crap as a customer, the taste of the food goes out the window. The employees here are extremely disrespectful and couldn't give two shits about what their customer thinks. They spoke down to me like I didn't know what I was ordering and seemed to have rushed me through my order because (I'm assuming) they were pretty busy for a Friday night. Whoever took my order didn't bother repeating my order back to me, which is service I've had when I ordered from other restaurants, the woman on the phone sounded like she was completely ignoring me and kept saying 'uh huh yea what else'. I was completely turned off by the lack of service provided. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from them again. I'm pretty sure there are other Chinese restaurants that'll treat their customers better with better food.

Yelp
Ordered delivery from here; 4 stars for the food and 5 for the delivery experience. They have a low minimum ($10 I think), no delivery fee, and are super fast (the estimate was 45-60 minutes but I got my food in about 30 minutes which is pretty quick for delivery in JC). I ordered the Shredded Beef with Scallion lunch special with brown rice and wonton noodle soup. First of all, I liked the container my food came in- rice on one side and beef on the other which made it super easy to mix and eat. The shredded beef was awesome. So much flavor and it tasted fresh. It has onions that were almost caramelized and perfectly softened, nicely cooked meat, delicious sauce, and some scallions on top. The onions and sauce were my favorite parts as you could tell they did not sacrifice flavor for time. It was the perfect size and a huge bargain at $6 (and came with the soup). Would definitely order this again. The wonton soup was also great- I wasn't a fan of the broth but the wontons in it were delicious and there were 3 pretty big wontons which I did not expect. I also ordered pork soup dumplings which were alright, but could have been better. I like the ones at Grand Sichuan a lot better, but they were decent and made a great late night snack. Not sure if I would order them again, or go with a different appetizer. This is definitely a great delivery option and they have both traditional and Americanized Chinese food on their menu. You can order through their website, through Yelp, or through Seamless (I think I used Seamless). Would absolutely order again if I want Chinese food and do not feel like going out to get some.

Yelp
Really awesome Chinese food! Not greasy. Our favorites are: wonton soup , boneless spare ribs , chicken and broccoli , steamed dumplings and the egg rolls! Basically the whole menu Hoboken doesn't have good Chinese so I've been on the hunt for years. Try this place! Fast delivery and during Covid they have been great. Enjoy!
