Food, was awesome🤩🤤, the service, way too slow😡. I was starving and could see that the restaurant was jam packed, so I knew the food was good. I thought I went into a fast food place. It took them an hour + to give me my food. 4 spicy chicken tacos were inhaled in 2 minutes.

I've been here many times but never left a review. I'm from out of town and each time I've been here I've had a great experience. During my latest visit, 8/2/2024, the tacos were served generously, as you can see in the image I uploaded, they're full of meat. Although it was a long wait since I visited at 7pm, it was worth the wait.

It's been a while since I went there because there aren't many stores. The taste of Asada Taco is the same as before..The sauce is special compared to other places. The store is spacious and clean. 6 asada tacos, 2 colas, and add sauces for about $26....It's not a cheap place to eat like it used to be.In particular, the security guard and cleaner were very friendly.

Google
Love this place, this is one of my favorite taco places around, this is the closest one to my house which is about 25 min away but I don't mind the long drive for some good food. The only downside is that they have long lines and crazy waiting times for your food but it's worth the wait. Try to beat the rush hour and you should be good. Everything is so good and the meat is fresh and full of flavor. I have been a loyal customer for years and more to come. Give this place a shot it won't disappoint.

All The Workers, Cashiers & The People in There are Very Nice! But the Reason I Dodnt Give it a 5 Star its because the security there at noon is rude, Always in a bad mode/attitude.

Google
We always expect a wait here, or at any of the other King Taco restaurants, but they move quickly. They also have pretty good timing getting our food out, which we love because we usually are in a rush.

Google
King Taco is one of those places I'll drive to get to we don't have them out here in Orange County so anytime I'm near LA I always stop they have the greatest burritos and tacos there I got the asada burrito and some carnitas tacos very good I'll be back again and again

Google
Amazing place. A staple in Southern California! Otherwise sauces are some of the best you can have at any Mexican restaurant and prices are very reasonable in 2024! Enjoy!

Yelp
Be prepared to wait a decent amount of time for your food, but it'll be worth it! Tacos here are amazing and definitely worth the wait. The suadero was a bit dry, but I loved the lengua and cabeza. Tortilla was just the right amount of thickness. The default taco comes with onions and cilantro so if you're not a cilantro fan like me, you can order it plain. They weren't kidding about the wait so be warned!

Yelp

Diane O.

Yelp
Not enough cashiers to take orders. It takes a long time to reach the cashier to place your order. To top it off a couple walked in and cut the line to place their order and the male cashier took the couple's order. We were waiting for 15 to 20 minutes on line to place our order. The female cashier followed rules. Sucks service speed.

Nevaeh G.

Yelp
If you're from LA, king taco is a classic spot. This is your average king taco. I always find myself here late at night and enjoy the food every time. I recommend the tacos, burritos, and sopes!

Yelp
So many mediocre reviews for this location. I love King Taco,as long as the service is tolerable. This beloved family-operated franchise has been making tacos the right way including their mouth-watering mild and hot sauce. If there was one reason to avoid this location, would be the parking. I arrived an hour before it started to get busy, and parking was not an issue. However, when we came out after our meal, I did not see any availabilities for cars to park. Also, the service line can feel a bit slow, but they do try to work the line reasonably smooth. What I ordered: COMBO BURRITO with Carne Asada - I love everything that comes in this burrito with the right portion of beans and rice. Everything about the way they prepare this burrito is amazingly good. Better yet, their hot sauces are worthy of an extra pour. AL PASTOR TACO--The Al Pastor taco was also fantastic. It was packed with meat, onions, and cilantro on top. For the price and how fulfilling my stomach was, I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant.

Yelp
Honestly, it's usually hard to find a King Taco which provides you with excellent customer service. I love the food, but usually customer service there is uptight and rude. I usually visit the location in East L.A. on 3rd St., and they always give me attitude. However, I've been coming to the King Taco in Pico Rivera for a while now. Although most of the reviews here are negative, today Christopher made my day. I asked for a little bit of extra salsa verde, and he didn't give me the Clint Eastwood stink eye. He was really nice about it. He prepared my food as well as it should be. I can't say that every experience at this location has been completely positive, however Christopher's attitude today completely made up for all the rest of the negatives. Keep up the great work bro! Your positivity will go a long way in life.

Maryann A.

Yelp
Called the other day and the female that answered said they are closed due to "remodeling". Yeah, we'll see. I usually go to other king taco locations with better customer service and fresher food but this one is on my way home to pick up tacos to go for my husband. I personally won't eat anything at this location due to poor quality. I remember it used to be so good, not anymore.

Yelp
Food usually takes soooo long to be ready, but this showbiz baby. They have chicken tinga sopes right now (feb2025) which I haven't tried (currently waiting for my food). Always love the food here.

Azul F.

Yelp
Not my first time here. Food has always been good. Service was fast. It was a busy evening as always, ambiance is good. Something changed. Management and/or staff... it changed for the better tho!!! Can we get atole though :)

Brian C.

Yelp
Well been a while since I been to this King Taco Rainy Saturday but moderately busy. Very clean I see a employee sweeping up. Only one order line but kitchen staff is booming. A good amount of people sitting info lunch line to order not too long. People coming in constantly I ordered 2 burritos and 2 tacos and a tamale to go. Wait time was pretty good l, got my food and food staff was very friendly and helpful. Burritos were packaged well as well as the taco and tamale. Food tasted great as it always has. Still one of my go to's for good food. As always critics will give their ups and downs but this company is still going strong and from heaven the creator of this establishment is smiling

Rudolph A.

Yelp
Always my favorite burritos tacos sopes, but was very disappointed when I went to the counter and asked the young man if I can get a Veterans Day special, he said we aren't doing that, but I can give you a discount

Yelp
This is a painfully honest review of a king who used to rule the streets of taco row. Is the king dead? I used to be a huge fan of King Taco but a few hit and miss occasions I decided to put this place on pause. This three star review is based on my current visit and not of the past. I ordered an all meat Asada burrito, Al Pastor taco and a Asada Sope. The all meat Asada burrito was decent in size but dripped with oil and the meat had a pretty noticeable liver after taste which for me is a huge sign of lower quality meat. The oil that oozed from the burrito was in every crevice of the burrito and soon became a gross film on my lips as I ate this liver flavored questionable meat. I give the burrito 1 star for the low quality, $9 price and thin flower tortilla that struggles to hold everything together. The Al Pastor taco was sadly pretty dry and lacked flavor and if someone didn't tell me what it was and asked me to take a bite and guess I'd not even guess pork. The Sope had a generous amount of toppings and meat but found the sope itself lacking masa and it created this dry disc like thing. Only way I can describe it would be a non hispanic person bragging about a Caucasian operated Mexican restaurant about their Sopes. This is what it would taste like. For the price I'd thought it would have tasted a whole lot better. I know the nitpicking and over the top criticism wont be popular with the die hard King Taco fam but the truth is always hard to except. I believe King Taco has for a longtime been dethroned by $2 street tacos sold by everyday people hustling off our local streets who put in the work and know if they're not on their game they can be gone tomorrow. If cutting corners, lazy prep and not listening to your loyal customers makes you a King of tacos then we need a revolution because King Taco ain't it anymore. The red and green salsa is seriously amazing and at this point it's holding this legendary establishment up because the meat and quality isn't hitting the mark. Overall this place gets 3 stars because there's always room for improvement.

Yelp
King Taco is a local celebrity and for great reason, the food is incredible. Yes, the wait times can be discouraging at times but it's worth the wait. I personally love the Cabeza, but if you're a little less adventurous try the Asada. Never a bad choice!

Michael S.

Yelp
Burrito is soooo small. Must buy a new drink if you want a refill. First and last time I come here. Not worth it. I'd rather go to chipotle.

Santiago S.

Yelp
This sope de asada was a disappointment because it hardly had anything. It would've been understandable if the food was more in the cheaper side but damn! Pinc** miseria lol

Ismael L.

Yelp
Ordered an all meat burrito thru uber eats and was in disbelief at the portion when I got the burrito. I was eating layers of tortillas because it did not have enough meat. The meat was dry and did not taste very good either.it was not the best experience I would not recommend ordering from this place. I honestly feel robbed what a shame

misty m.

Yelp
Took off a star for the wait. We waited a solid 15 min for our burritos and sope. Some reviews here said they waited an hour. Regardless we enjoyed our meal. The Sope was pretty decent, and the all meat burritos were fresh and large. My boyfriend wasn't happy that they didn't have any limes, but other than that, we enjoyed our meal!

Nina S.

Yelp
Each time we stop by in Los Angeles area we have to stop by and eat here , my go to always is the carneasada nachos and a tamale de queso. I've tried the tamales and sopes and burritos I just wish they had a restaurant chain here in San Diego.

Cynthia M.

Yelp
It's only this location that we always experience their asada being extra greasy. Our burritos were literally dripping oil. The picture I included was after I opened my burrito and tried to soak up all the excess grease with a paper towel. We've been going to King Taco for years so we know and expect the asada to be a little greasy but this is ridiculous. La tortilla del otro burrito se despedazo toda por la grasa. Casi parecia a wet burrito. The alpastor taco was less greasy than asada and it was delicious. That's the reason for the two stars.

Derrick T.

Yelp
The King Taco in Pico Rivera serves up some pretty good tacos and Champurrado. The burritos and nachos were also satisfying when we ordered them. However, there are a few drawbacks. They limit the number of salsas you can get per order, which is disappointing if you're a heavy salsa user like me--I love putting green salsa on everything when I have Mexican food to go. The lines can be long, sometimes taking up to 45 minutes just to order. The last time I visited, it was after a Dodgers game, and I waited nearly 45 minutes. Although they have two registers, only one cashier was working. Despite having 5-6 stations preparing food and calling out orders, it still took me 30 minutes to get my food after ordering. On the plus side, the food is affordable, especially with taco stands becoming pricier and often being cash-only. King Taco accepts credit cards, which is convenient. The ambience is nice with plenty of seating, though the restrooms are only semi-clean and could use more attention.

Ally R.

Yelp
Ordered 4 Sopes, when I opened my plate, this was how my food was served. I went during a rush hour and orders that were after me in line were being served first, so I waited longer for my order of Sopes just to receive this quality of food. The plating service needs to improve. The quality of the Sope was like a tortilla, did not have the crisp texture of a sope, it needed to be cooked more. The meat was well prepared, but the soggy texture of the sope was like eating a regular taco.

Yelp
Wanted Nachos & Rebecca was so helpful with adding extras that will spruce up my nachos. She was so friendly and the nachos were sooooo goood. I'm coming back for sure! Thanks Rebecca!

Luis C.

Yelp
When in the mood for tacos, King Taco is my go to!! Their meats are always fresh, delicious, and full of flavors. Their tamales aren't bad either, I like the sweet ones the best. There's usually long lines but I came on a Tuesday night and was in and out pretty fast. The staff tonight were friendly, polite, and attentive. King Taco reigns above them all!!

Yara T.

Yelp
Update: We ordered our food at 7:13pm, had the food in hand at 8:33pm. Even though they said it was going to be a 15-20 min wait‍ If you're hungry & want food quickly served, DON'T come here! This is probably the SLOWEST King Taco, I've been to the busy one in Baldwin Park, which is always super busy & I wait half the time. My husband's sugar dropped from 176 to 90 just waiting for our food, there was about 6 people in line in front of us when we arrived, so we figured it wasn't going to be too long of a wait, man were we wrong. I finished my Large jamaica just while waiting.

Shaun R.

Yelp
How is this place so poorly ran!? 1 cashier with 1 person in line yet it takes 40 minutes to get a burrito and a tamale. And all of this food is precooked; all they have to do is throw it together. I could go to a sit down restaurant and order a steak dinner and have it quicker. 7 stations for food prep yet no food coming out. This place could make so much money if someone ran it properly. If you come here, I hope you have extra time to waste.

La'a Kea C.

Yelp
No wait and great service! Rebecca was fast and friendly! Always good food- best sopes de asada!

Stanley C.

Yelp
They were closed for a bit. They went from gas to electric cooking appliances. The food is delicious and affordable. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. The security is very friendly and always opens the door I come in. Overall, I really enjoy having a taco or 4 every now and then.

Sandra D.

Yelp
Amazing Service! Rebecca has amazing customer service and friendliness! Will come back! Loved her "treat yourself" mentality!!! Food is great too!

Elver G.

Yelp
Last time we were here we all wanted in-n-out except one person. So we left them in line and the rest left to in n out. We all ordered, dined in, came back to king taco after an hour and our friend still hadn't received her food! Over an hour later!! Today I came during work (I checked through the window how full it was) and there was nobody in line but one person. I ordered quickly and only got 4 tacos. Why does this location lag it!!!?? I waited 20 minutes for the most basic thing during empty time AFTER the lunch rush. I can't even count how many times we chose to eat somewhere else after remembering how slow this location is.

V V.

Yelp
Ordered 6 burritos $65 through UberEATS. Delivery plastic bag was OPEN without any security tape or stapling to guard against tampering. I called spoke with KT Mgr. Aisha who proceeds to ask employee if they taped, and of course, the employee answers they did. I advised her plastic bag showed no damage/signs from a security tape being removed. I was told to just contact UberEATS. Lousy resolution/response. I did not feel confident eating. Be aware, risky delivery/packaging procedures.

Cindy S.

Yelp
Great service long line but went fast and Rebecca was so helpful and super friendly thanks again...

Andrea P.

Yelp
Something is up with their food. Bought 5 days ago and still trying to recover from here. Second person who's complained about being sick here!! Never again.

Robert B.

Yelp
Always excellent ... KT needs some OC locations, for now Ill make the drive. Im always seeing these shops in passing and its always fun to try a new one. Driving around with my buddy I just yelped king taco and know it will be good. This one popped up about 5 minutes off our route and we checked it out. My buddy had not tried them and I was glad he enjoyed what we got. This one had lots of parking, big inside and was jammin. The line was long but moved fast and we ate and got back on the road pretty fast. Still my favorite taco shop 35 years later, so good ...

Ruben M.

Yelp
They need to at the least call out the numbers in English so those of us that don't speak Spanish don't miss our order. I gotta say the food has improved, but they need to at the least learn how to say the numbers in English. I understand it's Mexican food, but we are in USA and the primary language is obviously English so please learn the numbers (at least) so you may call out the order.

Chris R.

Yelp
Horrible service! Rude employees! Everytime I try to order something from them on Uber Eats they cancel my order! Whoever runs this business is lazy and unprofessional!

Casey S.

Yelp
The food is nasty I got the chicken burrito and the chicken had a bad taste they are always closing it down due to all of the lil and big bugs

Steph R.

Yelp
Rebecca was super nice and professional. I was indecisive in regards to what I wanted but she helped me with recommending what's popular and I was super grateful! Ended up getting the asada sopes and some tamales with champurrado. Service and food was great.

Jenny C.

Yelp
The wait here is always so longgggg. I literally went here on a Thursday night, and the line was wrapped around the inside of the store and out the door. A lot of my friends don't like king taco because they don't think its authentic tacos, but honestly, their taco beats a lot of the pricier onces in bougie stores so its honestly a win in my book. I love their taco and burritos. Their salsa is amazing but unfortunately they do limit on the amount you can get for free. This location probably have the longest wait time compare to the other ones surprisingly despite it being one of the bigger stores compare to locations such as pasadena. I waited about 45 minutes in line followed by another 30 minutes to get my order. I took some home to go for the next day, it was still good after reheating, but honestly if you don't have the time its not worth it. But I just have days where I go, -I am craving king tacos. There is plenty of parking since its a shared plaza, just make sure if you have somewhere to be, get there early so you have ample amount of time.

Liz C.

Yelp
Recently went to this location and everything was great! Food, turn time and service !

Efren O.

Yelp
Wow so disappointed with King Taco, service is terrible. Took forever to get my order. Once I got home and finally sat down to eat was even more disappointed with the quality of the food. Meat was dry and poorly wrapped. I ended up eating half and throwing the rest away. I will never go back to any King Taco ever again. How time has changed when a good taco place becomes corporate. Two thumbs down

Angela B.

Yelp
Rebecca was super cool! My daughter wasn't in the mood to leave home for pickup, but after interacting with Rebecca, she had cheered her up. We always love coming here, we're pico Rivera locals and I feel honored to have a king taco in our neighborhood.

Sandra A.

Yelp
Don't come here when hungry! They take too long for everything!!!! We've been here 45 minutes and still haven't gotten our order!!! The place is 1/3 full , never been a fan of king taco and this just confirms it! Horrible!!!!

Celia B.

Yelp
Muy lentos los cajeros en tomar la orden y los y los arqueros ni se diga se la pasan platicando 30 minutos esperando 5 tacos es ridículo pongan más atención menos platica y más trabajo

Domenic M.

Yelp
The people who come here too king taco are really nice and the cashier workers are nice they keep this place clean parking ok but other then that its good always has been good my favorite spot

Adriana Q.

Yelp
Last time I was here was when they opened, years ago. I miss the king taco in ELA. Lol . There was hardly anyone here. It was 10am-ish lol craving for tacos so took my mom here. Got some tacos and I tried there nachos with carne asada. ... *nachos w/ carne asada:: good. Nacho cheese. Good food. *tacos with alpastor n asada:: delicious *sope with asada:; good but missing tomatoes. Otherwise okay(no pic cuz mom ate it before I can take a pic)

Akane T.

Yelp
Came at the perfect time. No long line and the food came out pretty quick. Can never go wrong with king taco! Wish they'd open one in OC! Good service and always consistent food!

Lucinda M.

Yelp
Food is great. 30 minute wait with no one in the restaurant is horrible. Stop making paid customers wait for door dash orders.

Yoli y.

Yelp
My favorite spot for tacos and sopes everything is good I love the salsa both the green one and the red one
