Bottomless brunch here is a must. I loved that they put the juice in a side container so you can add how much you want. Staff is great, very attentive. Constantly topping off. Fun to chat with. Food came out barely warm. The grits I liked and the biscuit. My avocado taste was really soggy.

Best Brunch in NOLA! Kingfish did not disappoint! I had the fish & grits, crab cakes, and bottomless mimosas—easily one of the best meals I’ve had in New Orleans. The fish was perfectly cooked, the grits were smooth and flavorful, and the crab cakes were packed with fresh crab and just the right amount of seasoning. And let’s talk about the mimosas… I probably had 15 glasses, and they kept them coming without missing a beat! The service was top-tier, the vibe was lively, and the food was *chef’s kiss*. If you're in NOLA, this spot is a must! I’ll definitely be back.

First off, that food! My goodness! Chef, you are amazing. I’ve never seen a more beautiful chicken sandwich that tasted like heaven. And the shrimp & grits was one of the best I’ve had, nice touch with the maque shoux. Second, the drinks were great. It was also nice and quiet. The inside is very clean and beautiful. I’m looking forward to returning for brunch because that menu looks great as well.

The Baseline: For a Cajun Finer Dining establishment the creole flavors must be represented, there must be unique offerings to the restaurant, and the experience must be true to the spirit of a the cajun culture. Food: The food was amazing! The Kingfish and grits was so good. Creamy grits and crispy catfish was delicious. The starter of pork cracklins with melted pimento cheese. The gumbo was rich and robust. The cocktails were strong and flavorful. Service: The service was on point and we were caterers to for our every need. Complements to our hostess, waiters, and the chefs who gave us a delicious meal and fun experience. Ambiance: This is a very nice restaurant that was clean, had great flow, properly spaced seating, and well decorated for being in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The bathrooms were well serviced and clean.

Full bar with a nice selection of bourbon and cocktail menu. We stopped by for dinner for two. There was no wait for our table. The service was friendly and attentive. The seafood was fresh and well season.

Google
I rarely leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. From start to finish, the food was incredible. Every bite was full of flavor — the kind of meal you remember long after you leave. I tried one of their signature entrees (which was perfectly cooked and seasoned), and it came with a deal where you can choose a free appetizer, dessert, or alcoholic drink. I went with the appetizer, and let me tell you… 10/10. Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and full of love. The service was also great — friendly and attentive without being overbearing. This spot needs more recognition. If you’re in New Orleans, do yourself a favor and come eat here. You won’t regret it.

Google
The best restaurant in NOLA we've been to so far! So delicious, we tried cocktails, gumbo, crawfish bread and desserts. Everything was just great. Our waiter was fun and extra helpful.

Google
I have to say that the crispy chicken was delicious. The server was ok but not very welcoming or engaging. And when they left the bill and card machine . . . they didn’t bother to return to collect it. I tore off the receipt and we left. And it was pretty much empty so had little atmosphere. Wouldn’t go back I’m afraid.

Yelp
Friendly staff! The food was good. I had the shrimp and grits but it had a tomato sauce instead of the cheesy creamy sauce I'm used to. The fresh bread was delicious too. Very inviting. Nice ambiance. Go check them out! Safely located near the police station.

Yelp
Since we wanted gumbo and jambalaya we went in thinking this restaurant would have it. They steered us to the brunch and breakfast menu instead of lunch, but we didn't find what we really wanted for lunch. We went ahead and tried the brunch menu bc it was too late to go elsewhere (we had plans right after). The food was ok, but not great. I had the crab cake Benedict but it wasn't even like warm. Perhaps if you went without a desire for a particular food the food might be ok. The service was awesome and the bottomless mimosas were good - but shew, the price for the 3 of us not having high quality food stung. When we are back in NOLA we'll pass by this one next time.

Yelp
The service is bad from the beginning. It was rainy day. I was really hungry. I saw a cute spot. As soon as I got inside no one welcomed me. Only a young guy immediately said - hey I can have it. I was like have what. And he pointed to my umbrella. Ok!? I guess . Then an old gray hair lady told him to give me a spot. It was 5 people at the bar and almost empty restaurant. They were making my food way too long. 25-30 mins for pasta with shrimps? Where there's no people? They brought my pasta and shrimps were over salted! I asked to replace my food. They brought it back with shrimps still salty but it was ok at this point. Then I was waiting for a waitress to so she can charge my card. No waitress, I got up and went to the guy who took my umbrella. He looked at me like Im doing something wrong. Anyway food is 2 out 10 Service negative 1 out of 10

Yelp
Had been walking around the French Quarter all day and passed by Kingfish several times and thought it was a cool spot to checkout at some point. My regular spot was closed and I was scrambling to find an alternative. I was actually heading to another spot and ran into Kingfish yet again ! Seeing that I had already put in 16k+ steps for the day, I didn't want to risk going to the other spot and finding out that it too could potentially be closed. So made the executive decision and decided to pop in. I had been craving a po boy sandwich and was bummed that I wasn't going to get one. Lo and behold there was a shrimp po boy on the menu. The bartender stated that the sandwich was a huge portion and she wasn't kidding ! I was pleasantly surprised and the brutha that brought it out let me know it's their best sandwich ! Both he and the bartender comments were on point. The sandwich itself had a spicy mayo like sauce that added some good flavor. I only ate half of the sandwich and saved the rest for the next day. So I've just talked about the food at this point. The space itself is a bar/restaurant and is a pretty nice overall. Plenty of table and bar seating available. A good selection of jazz/turn of the century based music provided a nice atmosphere. I also choose the spicy/ginger beer mint mojito which was super tasty. Was thinking to grab another but decide to hold off as I had sucked it down before my food came and was feeing a nice buzz. A new cool spot to add to my list in NOLA and quite possibly my new favorite po boy spot !

Yelp
Went for bottomless, ended up having some pretty good food. Inside is nice, very much old school quarter dark wood restaurant. Got the bottomless mimosas, with blood orange juice. The waitress was on point and fast with the refills. Exactly what you want for bottomless. For food we ordered a candied pecan cinnamon roll to split as an app. They said it would take 10 minutes which was fine. It ended up not coming out until well after we were done with our mains, but they apologized and comped it so no harm no foul and it was delicious. The kingfish n grits was a so good. Crunchy flavorful catfish with a hearty, cheesy grits, and that cream sauce complimented it so well.

Yelp
It's not what I expected. They don't have a dress code so I didn't expect it to have the ambiance of an upscale restaurant. It's one of those places you'd dress nice to. It's dimly lit. Great ambiance for a fancy dinner. Good thing we were dressed nice. We had reservations at 6pm and arrived around 5:30pm and were seated immediately. We were placed near the bathroom and kitchen. I suggest We ordered from the menu and didn't know they served the Revellion dinners until after we ordered. There was a card in the table tucked between the candle and salt and pepper shakers that we saw as we were waiting for our appetizer. It would have been nice if the waitress had mentioned that they served the Revellion dinners until set menus. We ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer. It was topped with shrimp and a delicious sauce. I would order it again. For the main dish I ordered the fettuccine and blackened scallops. I was afraid it would be too spicy but it wasn't. It was just the right amount of spice. We also ordered the jambalaya risotto, an an appetizer that we had as a main course. My husband really liked it. It was a bit on the spicy side. We had the option of dessert, but we were full. Overall it was a good experience. Just know it's a fancy restaurant. With dim lighting.

Yelp
Hubby and I were in NOLA for a long weekend and he wanted to do a jazz brunch. We couldn't get a reservation for one of the jazz brunch places, so we weent in search of a great non-jazz brunch spot. So glad we did! I had the king's breakfast bowl, which was huge! I loved the crispy potatoes, the runny eggs, bacon bits - the whole thing was so good! Hubby branched out a bit and had the Cochon De Lait Poboy - which he really enjoyed. We enjoyed bottomless mimosas each, after all we didn't have to drive anywhere! Service was incredible - they kept coming by to check on what mimosa we wanted next. I'm a sucker for pecan pie, so I dug deep and found the space in my belly to have that too. It was worth 100% the struggle against my waistband!

Yelp
We came by with a reservation in the evening. The host was friendly. They sat us down right away. It seemed to us that they were short on staff. That's what led to the 3 stars, mostly. It took forever to get the drinks we ordered. Our server took forever to get to us. I don't blame her, she had a massive table other than ours. Once the drinks finally came, I loved the hurrican huey. It was delicious! I really wasn't that hungry so I ordered a side caesar salad. Perfect size, but lacks flavor/needed more dressing. Bf ordered the duck&andouille gumbo which he liked. My mom ordered their filet which came out yummy. The problem was the carrots were totally undercooked. Overall, I'm not sure I would return due to the service mainly.

Yelp
Delicious late lunch! Bottomless Bloody Mary, shrimp Po boy, local craft beer, duck & andouille gumbo, fresh pork rinds with melted pimento cheese...everything was fantastic!!! Asia took great care of us and seated us by the open sidewalk on a gorgeous day! We got a few things off the happy hour menu, and some regular menu as well. Will definitely dine here again!

Yelp
We've been here multiple times for the Pimms Cup. My wife really likes them from here. The service is always good, place is kept very clean and the crowd is always nice. This last time we went we struck up a conversation with a couple from Wisconsin and enjoyed our time. Love when some drinks can bring people together. We walked here so we didnt deal with parking.

Yelp
Can make a reservation on open table! Was seated quickly! Server was great, fast and consistently filled our bottomless mimosas! We both got the brunch burger which was very tasty!

Yelp
Nice restaurant with delicious cocktails and food. They take reservations which is nice and it's a good walkable distance away from the loud party atmosphere of Bourbon Street. My favorites included- Fried green tomatoes and blackened shrimp : lightly fried and perfectly seasoned shrimp Louisiana crawfish bread : Crawfish, cheddar & parmesan, artichoke, and garlic. SO CHEESY AND FLAVORFUL! Gulf shrimp and grits: warm/hearty and gracious with the shrimp and andouille sausage Great spot for dinner and drinks!

Yelp
The best meal we had in New Orleans! I LOVED my scallop fettuccine. The flavor was rich and the pasta and scallops were cooked perfectly. My mojito was very refreshing too- it was also HUGE! Our server was so sweet and funny. Literally no negatives. This should be on everyone's list. I was almost thinking about going back twice!

Yelp
Nice dinner at kingfish! Came on a Thursday evening, and it wasn't busy at all. While the food took a little longer than I would have expected to come out, the service was super accommodating. They made a kids grilled cheese for my daughter even though it wasn't on the kids menu, and brought it out with the appetizer (which if you have kids, you know is crucial). The portions were very generous, and everything was very good. I tried the crawfish bread app, and got the bbq shrimp po boy. The po boy was HUGE, and very tasty. Had a bit of a kick and a great tang. We all agreed that the food was great!

Yelp
we stumbled upon this place & loved the service. the food was so delicious, generous portions & not super greasy or anything like we needed this clean nice meal after all the southern binging lol. also the bartender was on top of our bottomless mimosas, constantly pouring. great experience ! no musty smell either.

Yelp
We dined at Kingfish last night on Christmas day. As you might imagine the restaurant was packed with a line out the door. It was crazy but i want to say that the staff we dealt with were professional, polite and very professional in a tough situation. Our server was amazing while handling a large number of tables, the food was hot and delicious... try the blackened scallops and the ambience was great. The bar personnel were awesome and the authentic Ramos Gin Fizz I enjoyed was traditional and perfectly prepared. One of the best cocktails I've had in Nola. If you plan to dine out on a major holiday please be prepared to wait a little, expect some bumps in the road and remember these people are working hard for you. I'm thrilled with our time there and look forward to going back!

Yelp
Went here last Wednesday night and was super excited to try this place as the ratings were high on yelp. Me and my lady sat at the bar. Group of 3 sat next to us shortly after we sat down. We were helped AFTER the group of 3 that sat after us (me and my partner are brown, group of 3 white). First red flag. Second red flag, the bartender telling other patrons that they didn't expect this many people tonight. He eventually told his coworker "they should just shut this down". Dude was totally overwhelmed. Every time we needed him he would ignore us. Not even a "I'll be right with you". Awful customer service. Even nearby patrons were shocked and confused to see us not being helped. Food came out after a while, I ordered the chicken plate and it was basically glorified chicken tenders with a good sauce on it. It took over ten minutes to just to ask for a box. We saw the group of 3 get a box and then asked if they needed utensils which they declined. We finally get our box, but guess what? We didn't get offered utensils. We tried to waive him down, looked at our direction while on the register and ignored us. This tops the worst experience we had in New Orleans. One star goes to the older silver haired hostess at the front door, she was sweet and had good customer service.

Yelp
Amazing food! We stumbled upon this place our first night in NOLA. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Just amount of spices and kick. The server, Louie (with the cool dreads ) was incredibly pleasant. He was friendly and I liked how he made small chit chat with us, even teasing us that he never expected us to eat that much since we looked like people who worked out all the time and health conscious. I thought he was great and made our dining experience memorable. Overall, the place was nice. We were fortunate that it wasn't too busy when we went and didn't have to sit too closely to other tables.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, decent food, reasonable price, and friendly service. Stopped in here on an overnight. We were able to sit at the bar without any wait. The bartender was quick to deliver water and answer questions we had about the menu. Within several minutes our order was in and we were just waiting watching baseball on the two TV's above the bar. It looked like the back of house was more traditional seating. But the bar was perfect for us. I was recommended the Red Beans and Rice with fried Chicken. We got our food within about 15 minutes. The beans, chicken and sausage were all great. But the rice nearly broke a tooth. The top of the rice had either been not cooked fully, or sat around and dried out. I more or less avoided the rice from there and the rest of the meal was great. The ambiance was nice, the food was good, the bartender was friendly. Honestly, a good experience minus the rice. Next time I'll just ask for fresh rice.

Yelp
Kingfish Kitchen and Cocktails in the French Quarter is a must visit restaurant if in New Orleans. You enter into a small bar area and find the dining area tucked behind the bar. This dining room has its own little bar, exposed stone walls, and lots of photography. It made for a well lit, but intimate dining room. Since we weren't very hungry we decided to just have cocktails and an entree. My companion ordered the Mint to be Spiced Mojito I tried the Gardenhead. Both drinks had all the flavors in descriptions making a well balanced taste in every sip. My companion ordered the seared scallops with fettuccine. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which has a Crystal hot sauce based gravy. The scallops were perfection; well seared yet buttery and complemented by the Cajun spiced fettuccine. It was an amazing bite. I was a bit concerned my Shrimp and Grits with Andouille sausage might be too spicy because while I like spice, I don't usually eat hot sauce. I really enjoyed my dish. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. They were tender tail on shrimp that had started to pick up the flavor of the gravy. The gravy itself had a medium heat with a bit of a slow burn, but also captured the flavor of the andouille sausage. When the heat got a little bit much, a bite or two of the grits tamped down the heat making me wanna dive back into those spicy bites. Our server, Kimani was fun and attentive. She checked in to make sure we were enjoying our food and that my dish wasn't too spicy.

Yelp
The food was absolutely incredible. I got the boudin balls & fell in love! My parter got the steak and eggs & they were absolutely perfect. No sauce needed for the steak for sure! Matt was our server & he was perfect. Also definitely has the "New Orleans" vibe & feel for those visiting!

Yelp
We stopped in here for happy hour on a Friday afternoon and everything was spectacular. We sat at the bar and the bartender was incredibly friendly and fun. We ordered some drinks from their happy hour menu. I went with the rosé and my boyfriend got the mule. Both drinks were tasty. We also tried the duck andouille gumbo as a happy hour appetizer and it was so delicious! The happy hour prices were great! We will definitely come back because we really want to try the brunch menu. The location is also super convenient to a lot of the hotels and popular spots in the area. We walked there from the JW Marriott and it was super easy to find.

Yelp
We stopped in to escape the rain and sat at the bar. Started with great Pimm's cups. Then saw the beautiful gin fizz and had that. Went on to food with great gumbo and a surprisingly good (and huge) chicken sandwich. The staff were so much fun and so kind. Our great thanks to all.

Yelp
We chose this restaurant because it was walking distance from our hotel. It wasn't busy but we did make reservations just in case. They have a lot of seating. Our server was so fun! He was engaging and nice to converse with. The food was good. Everything came out hot and in a timely fashion.

Yelp
Yummmmm! Kingfish kitchen and cocktail restaurant is a quintessential stop whenever we're in New Orleans! It's really good for lunch or dinner, and for that matter breakfast too! However, do expect the pace to slow down a smidge. So if you're used to fast paced service, New Orleans is not your spot... You're quickly reminded to slow down taking the atmosphere and enjoy the meal in front of you.! If you have a party larger than four I do recommend calling ahead for a reservation. It can get busy around the dinner time and especially closer to weekends. Either way, we recommend this spot to fill your bellies with all the good things NoLA has to offer!
google avatar

Aleena V.

Yelp
My cousins and I came here as a party of 8 and we ALL LOVED our foods! We were all satisfied with the presentation and taste of it! We were in love with the outside area where you can take pictures before going into The bathrooms! It's really giving that New Orleans look! We started off with bottomless mimosas and nachos with queso! We loved the queso but wasn't too fond of the chips used for the nachos. However, the Cajun shrimp Alfredo is definitely one of the best I've ever had!! We ended our night with 3 different desserts. The total ended about being around $500 but we definitely enjoyed the food! The waiter did seem a little annoyed and pissy but the food almost made up for it...
google avatar

Kari W.

Yelp
Kingfish was a nice happy hour stop, we really enjoyed the Louisiana crawfish bread, the gumbo was also pretty good and the bartender definitely whipped up some tasty hurricanes! The only other item that interested us on the menu was the jambalaya but from the other reviews saying it was overpriced for the portion was true, I saw the portion and $18 was a bit steep. But overall I would recommend swinging in for their happy hour!
google avatar

Elle V.

Yelp
Fried green tomatoes with shrimp and remoulade sauce was a great small meal. Service was friendly and timely. The restaurant was clean, jazz played in the background, and it fit in the neighborhood. I'd go back but I'm committed to new places for every meal.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to dine here with my husband for our anniversary dinner on a Monday night and the whole evening was a great experience. We had last minute decided to cancel our reservations at another restaurant and decided to visit Kingfish instead. Without reservations, we were able to get in immediately, which was great! The meal started with some complimentary bread which was delicious, but did make quite the mess from how toasted it was (nevertheless, always a good start to a meal). For drinks, my husband ordered a Rag & Bone and I ordered the Ramos Gin Fizz. Both drinks were so refreshing, but the Gin Fizz was an entire experience! Upon ordering the beverage, they let me know that the process to order the drink can take up to ten minutes because of the way it is prepared. The egg whites were so whipped and light and it made the whole drink so good! Would highly suggest ordering this drink. As far as the rest of our meal went, we started with the Fried Green Tomatoes & Shrimp Remoulade appetizer, and OH MY, this was soooo the right choice! The shrimp were grilled to perfection and the fried green tomatoes had the perfect crisp to it. If that wasn't enough, the remoulade that was paired with it was so perfectly spiced without being overwhelming and it really complimented the other elements of the dish so well. For the entrees, I enjoyed the New Orleans Barbecued Scallop Fettuccine and my husband got the La Blue Crab Grilled Cheese. Both entrees were exceptional, but I have to say, the barbecued scallops on the fettuccine really stole the show for me. While the fettuccine was great, the scallops were grilled to perfection and absolutely made the dish. I truly am glad we stopped in for our dinner here as every part of the meal was truly enjoyable.

Yelp
We needed a last minute dinner spot and this seemed to be the best option in the area at the time. The menu is posted outside and it looked diverse enough to satisfy the needs for a party of five. We asked how long the wait was and we were told we would be seated right away. Instead of being sat at a table, we were told to go to the bar and could get some drinks while the table is being prepared. We got a round of drinks at the bar and had to wait to close out the tab before we were sat at the table right behind us... which was already empty and clean when we walked in. So we shuffled from the bar to the table behind us. It took what seemed like forever to get service. Once the ball got rolling on ordering food, things were better and the food came out quick. Everyone's food was just "ok", not a disappointment and not great. Don't expect fast, great service here. And be prepared for a random "supplemental fee" at the end.

Yelp
Went here for lunch Food probably would have been better if it was hot. Ordered boudin balls, crawfish bread and the duck sausage gumbo. Everything came out cold. I did not understand this when we were basically the only people in the restaurant. Why is the food coming out cold?? Sent the crawfish bread back as I just couldn't eat it at that temperature. Instead of them giving me a fresh order, they just pushed the bread together and re-warmed it! Thats a no-no. With all of the good food places to eat in NOLA, i certainly would not return here. The hurricane I had was good, and the food was flavorful so I gave 2 stars. But the cold issue outweighed the good.

Yelp
I was here a LONG time ago. But back in NOLA I reserved based on location and reasonably positive memories. I wouldn't say it was BAD but it was definitely not high on my list of meals in NOLA and some things weren't so great. Service was good. The atmosphere is nice. The location is super convenient if you are in the French quarter. The jambalaya risotto was tasty.... It was calling for something though to make it more memorable. Maybe a little slice of sausage? A little scoop of greens with vinaigrette? It seemed lonely on the plate, esp since it wasn't a 'juicy' risotto. It looked dry but it didn't taste terribly dry. The twice baked potatoes that came with most dishes were pretty awful. they were dry. The toppings were not melted. The potato inside didn't seem like it had really been entirely scoped out and made into truly 'twice baked'. We scraped that dry topping stuff off and got some butter to make it less dry and edible. The fish filet was great, on par with this sort of dish throughout NOLA. The succotash was tasty -- with a little salt. But it's weird for the veg of the day that comes with your meal to be a 2nd starch with no options. Fried chicken was good. Wished the spicy jam stuff was on the side since it immediately starts stealing the crispness. And while the menu doesn't mention it, it's not bone in but more like solid breast strips. Don't love collards so really can't comment on them. I wouldn't put this place on my list of spots to recommend for a short list of dinners in NOLA. Not terrible but definitely far from a stand out.

Brent M.

Yelp
Delicious dinner. We arrived late and they were very friendly and accommodating for our party of 6. My wife and I split the southern fried chicken and red beans and rice. Best meal we've had in NOLA in years.

Yelp
- overpriced for what you get. I was so excited for this place but I would most definitely go somewhere else. Service was fine, waiter was very friendly. Advised against something on the menu, forget what it was. New Orleans Barbecued Scallop Fettuccine (BLACKENED SCALLOPS, SPICY NEW ORLEANS BBQ BUTTER SAUCE) - really lacked flavor. Scallops were good but for the price I'd expect more than 3. Desperately needed Parmesan or seasoning. Grilled Shrimp Caesar (GRATED PARMIGIANO, CROUTONS, ROMAINE, CAESAR DRESSING) - Best thing we ordered. Blackened Hook & Line Louisiana Gulf Fish (NOLA-STYLE BBQ BUTTER, TWICE BAKED POTATO, SEASONAL VEGETABLE) - this was such a small portion. The veggies tasted like ones from a can. The fish was hard and burnt on the bottom. I also think the skin was still on the fish which is not something I prefer. Cafe Rum-Tini (CRUZAN BLACK RUM, BAILEYS, KAHLUA, AND COLD BREW) - not very good. Blueberry Hill (REYKA VODKA, LEMON, SUGAR & BLUEBERRIES) - decent.

Yelp
This was one of the highlight meals of the trip for me. It was super close to our hotel and one of the only places taking reservations on Mardi Gras night. We were seated a few mins after our reservation time, and our server was friendly and helpful navigating the menu. The restaurant is divided into a couple of long rooms and seats more people than it originally appears it would. The food we had was really great. They had several gf options for me, which was appreciated. I took the server's recommendation and got the gulf fish with a delicious BBQ butter. The husband loved his BBQ poboy, and my friend said the gumbo was one of the best he'd had. Portions were good-sized, so we didn't make it to dessert or sample the appetizers, unfortunately. Great spot with excellent options and love that they were open on Mardi Gras when everyone was in dire need of food to soak up the alcohol.

Yelp
Well, we had a late lunch, but it was so much food, we did not eat dinner. We had a lovely lunch that overlapped with the early happy hour so we enjoyed that too ($6 cava for me and bottomless bloody Marys for my friend. Oh, she could not finish her last drink and got a take out cup to continue enjoying as we walked, The service was great, very friendly. On a good corner for people watching. I had the brunch burger with fries. It is loaded with a chicken sausage patty, nice think beef burger, fried egg and more. Delicious. My friend had the cobb salad, it was huge. We enjoyed.

Yelp
Good cocktails, with a pretty big afternoon Happy Hour menu. Can't say I'd recommend the gumbo or the Cajun bread unless they can promise to bring it out when it's hot and ready, instead of letting it sit until it's lukewarm like ours was. Sigh. But the Bloody Mary and the fried green tomatoes were a hit.

Yelp
We had a really great dinner here . Sometimes in the French Quarter you can fall prey to a tourist trap and have mediocre food but this was a good stop. They had a thirty minute wait so we opted for a bar seat which worked out well. We ordered the crab grilled cheese sandwich with fries on great hearty bread and delicious. We also had the blackened scallop with pasta dish. This dish has a perfect blend of spicy sweet. I ordered the chicken on a plate fried chicken with collard greens and twice baked potatoes. The chicken was actually crispy and delicious but boneless which I wasn't expecting. The collards were seasoned to perfection maybe a little heavy on the salt but still so good. The potato had some cheese and some scallions to complement. We rounded out the dish with cafe au lait mouse which was much like a tiramisu extra creamy and a caramel pecan pie ala mode. All in all this was a good dinner spot . Service was good and staff were accommodating. 159.90 all in for dinner for 3 and dessert for 2.

Yelp
I reserved a spot with my gf to visit on my trip to New Orleans. However, we got in early as the area wasn't too crowded. The atmosphere is rustic and feels like a higher end dining establishment, yet quaint like an old bar at the same time. I liked the charm! Our waiter was very nice and accomodating and we were served fast. We ordered the jambalaya risotto and the scallop fettucine. The pasta was pretty good, with a firm texture and the scallops were tasty. The jambalaya risotto was amazing! I'm a sucker for risotto, and I love jambalaya, and I was really looking for this wetter consistency in jambalaya while having that rice base and this really hit the spot. One of the best places I visited in new orleans for sure :)

Yelp
Found out about the happy hour menu through a fellow traveler. We ended up coming for a late lunch during happy hour. We only ordered off the happy hour menu & it was nice to try different New Orleans food on a budget!

Yelp
My friend and I came across Kingfish Kitchen as we were walking around the French Quarter in search of breakfast food. We found this gem for breakfast/brunch . The ambiance is very nice, clean and modern. Service was great (hostess and server) were both nice. I ordered the breakfast burger. It was filling and delicious. The food quality was excellent.

Yelp
- Got the Fried Green Tomatoes & Shrimp Remoulade and New Orleans Barbecued Scallop Fettuccine - HIGHLY recommend the scallop fettuccine, I really enjoyed it - The shrimp + tomatoes wasn't that great - They have high tops near the bar and regular tables at the back - Dark and moody inside, cute vibe - Good for groups, dates - Service was slow

Yelp
We didn't have reservations here and were in NOLA for the Eras tour so it was very busy but we managed to get a seat at the bar. We enjoyed the crawfish bread and gumbo along with a few happy hour drinks. It's a nice location with lots of windows for people watching. The bar area is nice and has plenty of seating. I'm not sure if a reservation is usually required or if it was just the weekend we were there. But I'd suggest calling ahead just incase!

Yelp
A very nice restaurant in the French quarter of New Orleans that we visited for dinner one night on a recent trip that I thought deserved a good review, 4.5 stars IMO. He had reservations, and I would definitely recommend them, because the place filled up quick, and this was on a Sunday night in May. The ambiance and look of the restaurant did a good job of straddling the line between elegant and casual, it isn't stuffy, but it's not overly offhanded either. The wait staff was excellent, as were the drinks, the bar staff knew what they were doing. We had an appetizer of the boudin boulettes with a pepper aioli, this might have been the tastiest part of the meal, these were amazing. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had a steak salad, the salad was good, but nothing out of the ordinary, the shrimp and grits was really good, I would recommend over the salad. The shrimp and grits came in a sort of spicy broth with a few veggies and some excellent fresh shrimp, I new twist on one of my favorites. Desert looked good, but alas we were too full.

Yelp
Good ambiance with a classy spin. We had dinner here during thanksgiving, the place was quite busy but we had a reservation. I think one of the best dishes on the menu is the pasta with scallops, which one of the people at my table ordered, and I opted for seafood au gratin which was kinda disappointing. Food took quite a while, even the appetizer too quite some time. Our waitress was new and it was a bit slow as well.

Yelp
At the end of one of our days exploring New Orleans, a friend and I stopped in here for a cocktail and an appetizer. It's a lovely little place, with a classy but relaxed atmosphere. Our bar tender was friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our drinks and the crawfish bread appetizer. Definitely worth checking out for quality food and cocktails

Yelp
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The gumbo was great, really good flavor. My boyfriend said the scallops in the fettuccine were the best he has ever had. The seafood au gratin was a small portion, but it was so rich that you didn't need any more. Our friend had the red beans and rice, he really liked the whole dish. Our server was quick and attentive. I would go again if we are ever in the area.

Yelp
Good food and amazing service near the heart of New Orleans. Worth stopping by for a quick bite or pit stop as you're touring the area. I ordered the crab cake and steak salad and both were really good. The crab cake was on a bed of some type of sweet corn, had a bit of filling to it, but still really good. The steak on the salad was cooked really well and the bartender Matt was stellar!'

Yelp
Went for happy hour and had a great time. We had the pork skin nachos and they were delicious. We also had the crawfish bread, boudin balls and crab cake. All of those were great. My drink was strong and full of flavor. Our server was friendly and checked on us several times. I didn't know how big the restaurant was until they walk us down the sidewalk to another entrance. This dining room was decorated nicely and is a great place to have dinner with a special person. I will visit again on my next trip to New Orleans.
