Very cool building and space. Friendly staff. Had a flight and really enjoyed the whiskey, not as big a fan of rum and gin neat, but didn't mind them too much! Greg was awesome and a super cool guy. Fun to chat with while sipping and made a fantastic old fashioned. Ended up leaving with a bottle of the rye whiskey.

Great spirits, friendly staff and a chill environment. I stopped in while traveling and I can't say enough food things about this establishment. My bar tender was beyond helpful on not only giving me menu suggestions but also recommending local places to eat, stay and grab a coffee in the morning. She made the overall experience a shining example of the good people in this city. I grabbed a couple bottles of bourbon to take home and share! I'll be stopping in again on my next visit and have already recommended Kingfly to friends that I know travel to Pittsburgh. Update: I'm back in town and Greg my bar tender was fantastic! I had yet another great experience at Kingfly and I'm excited to come back and visit again!

A solid experience. Walked in with a buddy in the middle of the day and had the place to ourselves. Very patient and cool bartender explained all of our tasting options. Everything was excellent, do yourself a favor and experience the space and tastings for yourself.

We cannot say enough positive things about Kingfly Spirits! Dating in Pittsburgh LLC hosted a happy hour at Kingfly Spirits on Saturday, November 23rd, and it was an incredible experience! With over 165 participants, this sold-out event was nothing short of amazing. The staff at Kingfly Spirits were exceptionally professional and kind, making everyone feel welcome and at ease. The ambiance of the venue was perfect for mingling, and the private loft event space was absolutely a dream come true for our event. The drink menu was carefully curated, and participants loved the variety of options available. It truly added to the overall experience and helped create a fun and vibrant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Just learned about this fantastic space today. Very impressive! Great music venue, versatile space upstairs, and fantastic cocktails. Very cool local Pittsburgh building history as well. Greg the bartender is knocking it out of the park, and everyone on staff couldn’t be nicer. Try the Toronto (their version of an old fashioned). The slushy “Pain Killer” is also surprisingly refreshing for a hot summer day. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful interior. Old wood, warm atmosphere. Lots of events happening here tonight. Birthday party downstairs and private event upstairs. Great couple of barkeeps mixing very delicious libations. Greg was hands down great to talk to throughout our time here. Really glad we stopped and had a drink before other activities in the strip district. Wish I could have got more pictures but it was super busy.

Loved getting a drink here with friends. Nice big space and you get to see all of the equipment and such. My cocktail was very tasty and it was a great atmosphere. Would love to return and try other things and would definitely keep their spirits in mind when looking for local gift ideas as well. Wish we would have gone upstairs to check out the loft, looked cool up there!

Greg the bartender made me the most refreshing seven and seven, whiskey highball. He keeps it super positive! highly recommend!

I hosted my monthly book club this past Sunday afternoon and it was such a fun afternoon! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We were able to order individually and then we had our own table on the second floor. Which was great because we pretty much had the space to ourselves but then we could enjoy the live music which was awesome!! I enjoyed a cocktail and a snack, and both were very yummy. Definitely will be back, especially when there is live music! Shout out to Melanie for your assistance!

Distillery that's a bit further away from the main strip district area but worth the walk if you're in the mood for a good cocktail. They currently have some cocktail slushies on the menu for summertime. We got the painkiller - it's really good! Great for a warm day. They have a promo that they posted on IG but it's slightly misleading. It makes it seem like the first round ($12) will get you the cup in addition to your first round and you can get $5 refills thereafter. On the check though, there's a charge for the cup and each charge is also inflated ($5.20 for a refill, and $12 + some change for the first drink - I forget the cents, maybe $12.48). Not sure why they don't just keep the charges flat to match what they posted online. Good drink though!

Service was amazing and Greg was awesome! They have creative and tasty cocktails. And the vibe is chill and fun.

In town for Barrel and Flow and stopped by for quick drinks. Greg was our bartender and he did a great job! I had a vodka Collins (happy hour special) and a bourbon smash... my favorite. My husband had an old fashioned. Drinks were beautifully prepared and tasty. We always stop here when we're in town and will continue to do so. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating and free parking on the street.

Great cocktails and mixologists. Tell them what you like and they create! Had a Cygnus. Excellent savory drink.

Be sure if you go to Kingfly to ask for Greg....he makes amazing cocktails, has a fun personality, and is very knowledgeable about his craft. He made our experience at Kingfly that much better with his cocktail customizations to suit our flavor profiles. The menu of seasonal cocktails and standard favorites had a little bit of everything to choose from. The atmosphere is relaxed and spacious. This is definitely a spot that we will return to in the future to try out additional house made spirits.

Had a lovely time with friends having crafted cocktails made by the kind bartenders. Looking forward to my next visit!

Greg, Josh, and Summer took great care of us on our night out. They were a hoot to hang out with, will definitely be back. Drinks were excellent and customized to preference! Felt right at home here.

We stopped in for an afternoon sip since we've only been in before at night, and were pleased to finally have the couch area all to ourselves. I got the coquito from the holiday menu and it hit the spot. Great drinks as always.

The drinks were great! And so were the bartenders, Greg & . Lydia! We felt like VIPs! Highly recommend to everyone looking for good vibes, great drinks, and awesome service.

Location is clean with a cool aesthetic. The drinks were great and made with care by Greg. Greg provided awesome service, good conversation and local recommendations for us out of towners.

First and foremost I have to say- the atmosphere here is immaculate. The staff was amazing and not only gave us an incredible drink suggestion which changed my fiancée's whole view on tequila cocktails for the better (the de manzana was incredible), but they also were so personable and kind that we ended up staying long past the one drink we planned to come by for. We had never been in before but plan to come back soon! They also constantly have super cool and unique events going on.

This place has an awesome ambience. We tried the sparkling and regular rose. They were good, but not exactly on par with the price. We went in thinking they had happy hour, but the website was out of date

Went to Kingfly for the first time this past Sunday. We went at opening time and there was a line for drinks at the bar. I ordered a glass of Mazza and then was told there would be a $10 cover soon for the band. Honestly, I was confused why they didn't just collect the cover charge when you walk in the door. I sat and drank my Mazza then left without anyone asking me to pay the cover. Granted I did leave before the music started however, I feel like there should be a better system. The mazza was super sweet so I probably wouldn't order that again. The vibe was really cool. I would love to go back and check out the upstairs sometime (it was closed when we were there).

We came in after a Saturday in the Strip and were pleasantly surprised to find no crowd. There is a nice assortment of both tables, bar seats, and couches. We opted for the couches. The drinks were well thought out and the bartender was so friendly.

5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here. Seriously. Skip to the end to see my rating scale. So first off, I'm not a spirits guy. I'm a beer guy. Although I do love a nice mojito. Unfortunately they were unable to make one for me the day we went. I get the impression though that they can and do, but the bartender wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed on our visit. So they couldn't make what I wanted and the server was subpar, so why the 5 stars? I'm really going off potential in this review, as in, I really think this is a 5 star place. It has the industrial ambiance that I appreciate and the details of their decor are first class IMO. It was clean and inviting and the young lady who I believe to be the manager on duty that day was welcoming, friendly, and classy in her own right. I couldn't score a mojito but they do have a beer selection from some of the better craft breweries in the neighborhood so I was happy with stout I was able to order. They also have live music which is another big plus and the two levels of seating are connected by floor openings so you can enjoy the show on whichever floor you find yourself. Always a big selling point for me is outdoor seating which is available with several picnic and bistro tables on the sidewalk. Top it off with them being dog friendly and they really do hit the mark on the things I most want to see in a relaxation station. So despite the bartender who left his personality under the bed when he left for work, I'll still give Kingfly five stars. 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

Highly recommended spot to grab nice, refreshing cocktails! Greg/Gregory was very nice and welcoming and made the best cocktails. We'll be back!

Stopped here for the first time and loved this place! Toronto Old Fashioned is a must. Greg is the man! He shared the story of Kingfly and how they distill their spirits on site. He recommended the Rye whiskey to purchase. I'll definitely be back.

Update - Great space and atmosphere but inconsistent latte technique. I went during last Saturday afternoon and ordered an almond milk latte. I don't know if it was the step of making it or the timing that was messed up, but the milk foam was so thin and it did not even taste like a latte. The first pic was taken 30 seconds after the latte was handed to me, the foam was almost gone already. The second was after 2 sips....it was more like a coffee misto than a latte. Overall, not a fan of their espresso drink. (They use Commonplace beans, which is kind of a wast with their poor latte technique)

My girlfriends and I visited Kingfly this past Saturday sometime within the 10-11pm hour before close. They ordered gin based cocktails that they enjoyed very much, having two each. I got the seasonal frozen limoncello and immediately noticed the impressive presentation. It was refreshing and the perfect frozen consistency. While I love the cozy ambiance and architecture of the space, in the summertime, it would be nice to maximize their outdoor seating along Smallman.

Came here for a comedy show awhile back because my boyfriend & his friends are friends with the comedian Loved the cocktails here! Everything about this place was a delight! The show was great and hilarious. Drinks were fabulous. The atmosphere is classy and very nice. Really enjoyed myself here and can't wait to go back soon!

Stopped in with some out of town family for a cool afternoon drink. Loved it. Cocktails were nicely done. Place was busy but not too crowded. Music was cool and set the vibe without being too loud. Decor was super cool and nicely integrated distilling equipment. Bartenders were super friendly. Didn't make drinks that quickly but they made up for it with their willingness to customize drinks. Even made a fresh lemonade for those who couldn't drink.

Kingfly Spirits is a perfect spot to sip some craft cocktails while listening to live music! There is food on the menu- we stopped in for drinks. They are open on Sunday in the Strip district. The drinks are delicious! Family owned & operated.

Not a huge selection of their own liquors - in their whiskey flight both of their guest whiskeys from other PA distilleries were better than the ones they made. Their rye was super hot, with lots of burn. Their bourbon was kind of bland in comparison. Not my favorite. Service was good, no problems there. Probably wouldn't go back with Wigle only a couple blocks away.

I came here for a private event. The location is easy to find in the Strip District area- street parking is unreliable, but there is a parking lot behind the building called the Hub. $5 for parking 0-2 hours. A great decor inside with historical items , couches and even a space for live music to be played.

Very cool place, I'm from Phoenix AZ had a great time. Only issue I had was that the yelp time for opening is off, they open at 1 not 3.

One of the gems in the city of Pittsburgh... Kingfly makes solid spirits and always has a fresh lineup of cocktails available. I love coming here because they tend to always have the best local Jazz and singer song writers. The interior is warm and cozy and the perfect place to relax and listen to music with a great cocktail in your hand.

My second visit. Such a warm, inviting establishment. Stopped in on a beautiful Saturday afternoon while walking around the strip. Had some great conversation with Raoul discussing his distillery. Stop in If you are visiting the strip or make a plans to see one of their shows. Definitely worth checking out.

Kingfly is always a perfect place to start or end your day on the strip district. The location just outside of the craziness is perfect, and the industrial interior is welcoming. I love their cocktails, from coffee cocktails, specialties, and local beers/wines, there's something for everyone.

This is a really lovely designed space and I enjoyed visiting for the first time to try the new banana liqueur and relaxed cocktails. I will definitely return again in the future, and maybe for an actual musical performance.

Kingfly Spirits is not only a great distillery and make of fine libations but also an amazing venue. I love the whole vibe of the place. From the unique bar stools to the open timber framing, the place is just super cool. They have some great live music and are also a great place to host events (both big and small). Check it out! You will not be disappointed.

Phenomenal experience! They were accommodating to our large and ever-growing group. Kingfly is the perfect spot for when you're looking to have a relaxed hang with a lot of friends who are coming in and out at different times. The bartenders are friendly and brought samples of a different type of off-menu beer that was similar to the one I ordered unprompted. We can't wait to go back!

The cocktails at Kingfly are fabulous, but the service is even better. Our bartender Greg was super friendly and was a cocktail craftsman. He might just be the best bartender in Pittsburgh.

Wonderful ambience, great service, delicious appetizers, and amazing drinks. I had the smoked eggplant, which is one of Kate Romane's specialties. The interior is completely stunning. They did a fantastic job of restoring the previous warehouse into a showplace, but at the same time keeping the original wood, bricks and other features. They have great space upstairs for private events. I attended on a Thursday night when they had some very talented avant-garde jazz musicians. Everything was quite impressive. Highly recommended. Parking is tricky, I had to search for on-street parking. There's a lot nearby, but no parking instructions on their website.

Great set up, great service, perfect for a drink and couches were a nice touch. Interior decoration is great too.

This spot is perfect for cocktails with friends. The space is very open and unique with super knowledgeable bartenders. They make handcrafted cocktails, and they always look pretty. The prices aren't too bad for nicely made drinks. The only sad thing is they don't have any food. You can also catch some events here that seem pretty fun.

I've visited this place during the pandemic to try something new. However we were able to stop by and do a flight of the different spirits that are available, along with the different cocktails. When you walk into the facility, it's absolutely amazing wood work. The entrance has the still located on the main floor, bar area to the side, seating all around the bottom and upstairs area. You order your drinks at the bar and seat where you want to sit. Very impressive by the place and the staff was super friendly. Purchased the Spiced Rum, it is incredible. I recommend stopping here, can't wait to come back.

I just recently went to Kingfly for the first time after hearing about their live music! My parents and I went on a Sunday afternoon after the Arts Festival. The space is really big inside and you can see the distilling equipment. They have a bar, and lounge areas with couches. It seemed like the people that were hanging out there had been there before. I listened to what other people ordered in line and they all seemed like they knew exactly what they wanted. There wasn't really any introduction when we went in. The bartender said hi and that she could take our order down at the other end. I told her it was our first time here and she was kind of just like oh cool! And then I asked her if they made all of the spirits and she just said yes. I wish she would have given us some information since we knew literally nothing about the spirits or the actual place. We asked her what she suggested since I wanted to try their limoncello. She suggested getting 2 shots of limoncello with their housemade tonic water. It was SO perfect for a hot day! My dad got the mint julep and it was so fresh and not too sweet. My mom got the painkiller, and it tasted like being at the beach! I will definitely get that for another outdoor show there on a hot day. It tasted like creamy coconut mixed with pineapple upside down cake. It was strong too! We had fun trying each other's drinks. We watched Jimbo Jackson on their side patio for about an hour. Their sound system was not great at all. The microphone/speakers kept buzzing and there was a lot of feedback. It was still fun to watch him though... he is always great! Next time I go, I'd love to see the upstairs of the distillery. I heard that they host events up there and the photos look cool. It was roped off the day we were there, probably because it wasn't that busy. I will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, drinks, and live music! I went with friends on a snowy Thursday night and it was so cozy. We sat on the first floor which was great since we could still here the live jazz on the second floor and hear each other as well! I had a few different cocktails and they were all delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying their coffee as well! My only recommendation for Kingfly would be some more snack options - there didn't seem to be many.

Really long, slow moving lines. I had a seasonal cranberry cocktail that wasn't actually very good. No problem finding seating, but a lot of wasted space upstairs. The atmosphere is really cool though. My biggest bummer was watching the bartender throw away several perfectly fine but peeled pieces of citrus fruit. I would love to see the bar program adopt a more sustainable approach to leftover citrus fruits because that is so wasteful. My cocktail came with an alternative straw (pasta or sugar. Something not plastic) but then I watched them toss out so much fruit.
