Kingly Court

Kingly Court is located on land that was sold in the 1680s for development that included an academy of trade, a chapel, a market house, residential structures housing employees, private residences, etc. The roads connecting these developments would become what are known today as Kingly Street and Carnaby Street. The transformation of the architecture of the area reflects the fortunes of property developers and residents over the centuries, when buildings would become consolidated into warehouses and commercial establishments. While the exact origin of Kingly Court is unclear, its connection to this history is clear based on the physical evidence that survives: old brick walls, high chimneys, cobbled paths, narrow alleyways, etc. When you come, make sure you have enough time walk leisurely along the length of these two streets, and criss-cross through the smaller one, to appreciate this history.

I visit once a year, and it’s always the same. While it might be a place for tourists to take a break, I personally wouldn’t say the food here is any good. It’s busy, chaotic, and hardly relaxing — can you really unwind here? With Soho right next door full of great places to eat, why bother here? I won’t name the brand, but there’s nothing I’d call a “good eat” in this court. Sorry for the harsh review, but keep your eyes open — Soho has proper spots to enjoy!

Great location to eat and drink. Variety of restaurants and bars under one roof. There is a hydration station inside to refill your water bottle too.

Kroketa offers a fantastic taste of Spain! The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared, with each dish full of rich Spanish flavors. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Highly recommend the croquetas — they’re absolutely delicious!

Kingly Court is a fantastic spot to meet friends for lunch or dinner. It’s essentially a charming courtyard surrounded by restaurants and bars. On the ground level, you’ll find picnic-style tables and benches perfect for outdoor dining, while two additional levels with walkways provide a great vantage point overlooking the courtyard. The area offers a diverse range of cuisines, including Greek, Indian, Italian, Asian, and more, as well as some excellent bars to enjoy. It’s a lively hub with something for everyone!

Love it, just loved it. Beside the busy streets there are some of those quiet places in this soho area in London. Little shops, some restaurants and diner facilities with an awesome menu. Enjoy this area to enjoy your dinner and relax with family and/or friends.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, the service is excellent, the waiters are nice, the food is delicious, the 4 dishes were different and special flavours. The products are high quality and fresh, it's noticeable. The food was cooked perfectly. The flavours are subtle, allowing you to enjoy the flavour of the main ingredient. Highly recommended

I first visited here in 2016 and was impressed with the Peruvian restaurant. I didn't notice it on my most recent visit, but the atmosphere was still buzzin '. There's a huge choice of eateries here and close by, however, keep your wits about you. I was overcharged twice, and not at the same business.

Agree with everyone for almost everything, except it is empty and quiet. It used to be. And it wasn't on Monday afternoon and yesterday. Tourists. I don't mind them at all, but the place used to have such a charm - less crowded and classy, a gem in the centre of London. I only hope the hysteria will be over with the start and the end of the Olympics. Otherwise, I still give Kingly's the full 5 star rating, cause it's still classy, only more people have found that.

My cousins took me here when I visited them on a trip to Europe. It was a really cute area that has a lot of restaurants with a lot of places to grab a drink. It kind of reminds me of some spots in LA with open areas. It can get pretty loud and crowded, I do wish there was more seating or space, but its a cute spot to grab a drink with a friend!

This is a lovely food court in Soho, near Carnaby street. I visited a restaurant called Paradiso for a scrumptious burger and coke. I visited on a Tuesday at 4:30pm so it wasn't busy and staff were all very nice and friendly. Kingly court has many different restaurants and is a great hang out place.

Fantastic food hall! We went to the Good Egg for lunch and it was delicious. Would definitely go back to try some of the other places. Loved the vibe here.

Trendy shopping and dining area with a hipster feel, free WiFi, and lots of seating. The courtyard itself is through a rather unremarkable entrance on Kingly, but once inside you have your pick of three floors of bars and restaurants. I like that it's kind of hidden but still fairly busy, and the selection of dining options is pretty diverse (spanish, pizza, BBQ, and Asian, to name a few). Good spot to hit up with friends for a food crawl to try a little bit of everything.

Decent food court. This felt more like a tourist trap to me than an authentic London destination. The food was acceptable. It was crowded, even on a weeknight. Overall this is a fine location if you want to meet somewhere and then make a spontaneous choice for what to eat for dinner -- there's plenty of options to choose from.

A very "happening" area near Carnaby and Oxford Circus. Even on a weekday it's very crowded; however it offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars. Really enjoyed eating dinner here and since it's so close to all the shopping it was very convenient. Very loud

Great little foodcourt. We stumbled in on accident, and the people watching was worth every penny! XD. A bit of a tourist trap, and hisptery, but what isn't, these days? We enjoyed our wine and food and just watched the world happen around us. Very cute and popular. Something for every palate.

Hidden away off Carnaby, nice little courtyard with restaurants and stores as well as yoga studio upstairs. Lovely sit down area between rush hours, it's madness when it's busy though.

Kingly Court is such a great little spot on Carnaby Street. I never really actually *shop* anywhere else on Carnaby Street, I don't need to, Kingly Court has everything I really want condensed into a great little space. My favourite thing about this part of Carnaby Street are the vintage shops. Not all of them are great but Marshmallow Vintage is a brilliant shop. There's also Sam Greenberg and Circus vintage if you fancy too. If you want something a little more special, you can shop in any of the boutiques situated here and end your Kingly Court experience with a coffee and a cake from the Kingly Court Brasserie - delicious cakes! Kingly Court has something a little more special than what Carnaby Street has to offer, I'd just recommend heading straight here instead of trawling the length of this famous street instead.

Free WiFi. Lots of shops. Nice place to check out if you want to grab a meal or just relax at the outdoor seating.

Somewhat incongruously located amid the hustle, bustle, at times downright tackiness of the West End, Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street is a beautiful conversion housing 28 boutiques and cafes, including my favourites Black Pearl and Stromboli's Circus. Not only is Kingly Court the chicest shopping complex you're ever likely to encounter but at this time of year it is positively magical. Its excessive Christmas Decorations lending it a touch of the fantastical and rendering shopping a joyous experience for even the most retail phobic. At present there is a pop-up cafe by the people behind great New Zealand cafe Sacred along with vintage boutiques Marshmallow Mountain, Sam Greenberg and the aforementioned Stromboli's Circus. As intimate a shopping experience as you're likely to find in this neck of the woods and with its independent feel, a lovely change from the surrounding area's high street chains.

Over the last year or so, Kingly Court has gone from strength to strength. The canvassed shopping centre houses a variety of small, independent boutiques on three floors, all which overlook a courtyard of cafes. There is a good selection of vintage clothes shops (Circus, Marshmallow and Sam Greenberg are excellent) a few bead/jewellery shops, a pop-up gallery/art shop and a great walk-in back rub shop. When I only have a limited amount of time to buy a present, Kingly Court is my first stop- it generally caters for all tastes and price ranges.

One of my favourite place to hang out (free wifi) pr to grab a delicious meal with several choices of eatery from Asian, to Peruvian to pizza... a beautiful selection of restaurants that will please everyone. During cold days it is quite warm under the heaters so just hang out in the outdoor sitting area to enjoy this place at its best.

We came here at night and it is adorable! I'm not sure what it's like during the day, but at night I would say it's for the more mature. There are great restaurants nearby and shopping all around. I could definitely see small families shopping together during the day. It's in a great location and lots of diversity in the types of restaurants you'll find. There are pubs and casual dining options as well as nice somewhat fancier options. I would say a great place for a date or to hang out with friends. We came here after dinner to get dessert at Said, which I highly recommend if you're in the area. After dinner take a stroll under the many hanging lights. All the surrounding streets and alleyways are cutely decorated. Instagram worthy shots and tourist worthy visit if you're trying to mingle with locals and new Londoners.

A little gem that i didn't know existed. The amount of times i have walked pass this unassuming doorway not knowing it led to a courtyard of goodies. The rum kitchen is based here aswell as Stax dinner. The place was full of suit wearing people and hipsters so a real mix. There are 3 floors that overlook the courtyard. I will definetly be back to look around.

We were a group of 8 persons. We had small snacks and drinks. They were very friendly toward babies. The service in general was excellent. We personally had just wine and pita bread with the own creation of humus. The bread was a good portion for two and tasted well. Others had soup and cheese cake and they found it delicious as well. The price was ok. We recommend the place and would visit it again.

In the main floor there are lovely restaurants and they are very affordable. the staff around here is friendly. this place is good for warm weather because they have a small cute open area. You can find other options on the upper levels too.

Kingly Court is the best part of Carnaby Street and the part that stays true to the original stores that made Carneby Street iconic. There are 28 stores located inside of this three story court yard. With all of them being a unique one off store. That's right you won't find a single chain branch inside of here. That is what Carnaby Street is for. You will find lovely little cafes, vintage clothing shops, a yoga centre, arts and crafts, and a retro hair dresser, that will slick your hair back just like Elvis Presley.

My sister took me to Carnaby St and nearby areas to shop and walk around the picturesque neighborhood. So many beautiful shops and interesting pubs. We had lunch at Shakespeare's Head. It was packed but we got served right away. I enjoyed discovering every interesting nook and cranny of Carnaby. If you love to shop, don't miss this place!

Kingly Court is great for siting in the summer sun having a coffee or spot of lunch from one of the cafés or bars in the courtyard. It's even a great place to go in the winter because they put up a roof-type-thing to keep it dry and relatively warm to continue enjoying the outdoor-ish space.

Kingly Court is so tucked away and so well hidden that despite it's very central location I sometimes even forget it exists. I really like it though and it has some of the nicest shops all conveniently under the same roof. Just independent smaller shops, something very different than it is in the Carnaby street close by. Especially I love the Marshmallow vintage shop, and there is other nice vintage shops as well. Now that I think of it I realize I really should go there more often!

Hidden Gem! Albeit a pretty crowded one. We stumbled on this place by chance while strolling through Carnaby street and got dinner at Cha Cha Moon. Cute shops and restaurants.

An absolute joy to find; full of character and no rips. I must give a mention to the stylish Bexy Lady. Threads not found elsewhere though I believe they also have an oulet in Whiteleys. The courtyard is a very welcome place to sit and sip a Capo after trudging the tourist filled main streets. If High Streets are looking to reinvent themselves as Mary Portas (Queen of Shops) insists they can, there is no better model to follow.
