"They’re located inside the Toyota Sports Center, where the LA Kings practice, and offer very cool views of the rink, which means you’ll have something else to look at when your team falls apart in the second half." - kat hong, james montgomery

Situated inside the Toyota Sports Center and between two sheets of ice is a little hidden gem called King’s Cove. Most people are there to watch their kid’s play/practice hockey but it is a great spot to have a beer and a bite. There are several TVs at the bar to watch sports and there is a good selection of draft and bottled beer. I recommend the Santa Fe chicken sandwich and the sweet potato fries.

Donald Gordon

Google
This is a small eating establishment inside the Toyota Sports Center where the Kings and Lakers practice. They have selection of 6 beers on tap and typical bar/snack food offerings. About 12 small flat screen TV are tuned to NHL and NBA games only. I stopped by to watch the Dodgers during the World Series and the game was not being shown on any of the screens.

Google
Great place. While getting ready for grandson's hockey game. Got to watch the LA Kings practice. That was awesome. Beautiful hockey rink.

Google
Looking for a bar that served food and I ended up finding this thanks to Google. Fantastic bar, definitely helps if you're a hockey fan but you definitely don't have to be.

Google
Great food, great service and an awesome selection of draft beers!! Having tv’s all around you it makes for an awesome place to watch all sports! If ur there at the right time you’ll be able to watch the LA Kings practice right next to you as you eat! Very cool environment! There open till like 1 a.m. all the time so u don’t have to worry, just relax! Love this place!! 👌🏻

Google
Hidden gem!! Little did I know when my son (13) said let's go to his sports bar for a bite that I was going to a Canadian tradition. A Sports bar in a Hockey Rink. We don't have anything this good! Great food a Pint and a hockey game for no additional fee!! What more could a proud Canadian ask for!!

Rog

Google
Meh. It’s a tiny beer and wine space with two ice rinks on both sides. If you are into have a beer and seeing ice hockey lessons then this is your spot. Food was microwave/stale tasting. No cocktails. It was less than 3 stars and and better than a one star so you get a 2. I would pass on this place.

Alex Feig

Google
There’s a secret item on the menu called “The Hab”…even if the bartender doesn’t act like they know what you’re talking about, they definitely do. Look them in the eyes and say you want “The Hab”

Yelp
It was either a burger or a cheese steak sandwich. Either way, I was determined to get one of 'em here. Located inside the LA Kings practice center. As another fellow Yelper mentioned, it's easy to find: get up the stairs, go through the doors and walk all the way to the end and tadah! The cheese steak won out. I added a tortilla soup as well as a small fountain drink. Turned around and watched players do their thing on the rink. I'm not at all an ice hockey fan, but it was cool watching some pros play/practice. (TBH, I had to Google the logo to find out what team was there because it certainly wasn't the Kings. Ended up being the St. Louis Blues.) Everything was made to order so there was a bit of a wait. It wasn't too bad, though, and I was back at my workplace in no time. TORTILLA SOUP: Flavor was what my taste buds were craving for. I like that they placed the cheese on the bottom before pouring the hot soup over it to give it a chance to melt. Seasoning was perfect. The only downside?! The cup was only filled halfway through. :( CHEESE STRAK SANDWICH: Boy, where do I start. Let's just say it was a let down. The bread was soft and fluffy and held all the fillings perfectly. That part was good. But the meat and veggie fillings, however we're incredibly under seasoned. They all lacked flavor. The fries were undercooked. Needless to say, I wasn't really a fan. FOOD: 2. Extra star for the tortilla soup. Sammich and fries were not good... SERVICE: 3.5. Friendly staff. Very little interaction but service with a smile. VALUE: 1. $23 pre tip for less than mediocre food. PARKING: Private lot. Didn't have any issues during the lunch rush. OVERALL: 2.25. I might come back despite the disappointment. I'm thinking maybe the cheese steak isn't their best item. Perhaps I'll try the burger next time...

Yelp
Was a recommendation by hotel I was staying at since it was basically in the next parking lot. Was looking for some really good food to eat but didn't quite get that. The bad: I ordered honey BBQ Wings and curly fries with an apple cider beer. The wings were really hard and over cooked ( or seemed old as if they were possibly sitting under a heat lamp) the sauce was good though. Curly fries and beer were great. I spoke with the Manager about my experience with the wings and could tell he wasn't happy with my complaint since the wings are like his number 1 seller and he sales them by the 100's per our conversation. Paying $34 for 10 wings, order of curly fries and 1 beer I would at least like to enjoy and be able to eat all of the food I paid for. If I can to base my rating on my experience with the Manager alone I would have given a 1 star for my experience. He did offer to make me some replacement wings in lemon pepper ( wings were fresh and juicy and great to eat) hence my 3 star. As far as the space and atmosphere really not bad considering it's inside the Toyota center for LA Kings. Decent sports bar with plenty of seating and tv's to watch the games. You can also over look people playing ice hockey and ice skating down on the ice ring. Would I recommend this place or give it another shot? I Don't Know. Maybe if I had a better experience with the manager I probably would. Just because you sale wings by the 100's doesn't mean I didn't get a bad batch. Me having an extensive customer service background that wasn't a nice experience After typing all this I decided to go with a 2 star. You be the judge just make sure that if you have an issue with any food item don't mention it to the manager like he said sooooo many people buys his wings and can't understand why I didnt like my first batch of wings. Improvement in customer interaction or maybe that's how it is on the west coast

Yelp
Kings Cove is fantastic! The food, service, atmosphere is excellent!!! Our entire family loves spending time together there in between hockey practices/games. The menu is varied, and provides options for everyone. TV screens all around with sports and entertainment. This is really our favorite restaurant right now.

Yelp
I'm seeing quite a few reviews here about people going out of their way to visit this place. If you're reading this before you visit, that's not really what it's for. This is the in-house cafeteria/bar at an ice skating facility. It's not a standalone pub or restaurant. So, if you're dropping by for a free skate session, or if you have a kid enrolled in one of the hockey or skating classes, it's perfectly convenient to grab a bite afterwards without having to go somewhere else. Otherwise, skip. With that being said, the food here is actually quite good, but it's a bit more expensive than you'd expect - again, it's the in-house cafeteria/bar at an ice skating facility, and it ought to be priced that way.

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about King's Cove. I basically just stumbled upon this place while I was looking for somewhere to watch football. King's Cove is sandwiched between two amateur hockey rinks and on the weekends there are constant game and tournaments. This provides for a great atmosphere and plenty of scenery at the in-house bar. The wings are great, the fries are great and they have that good ranch. The beer is ice cold. Plenty of TVs to watch whatever you're into. Definitely going to make this place a regular in the rotation.

Yelp
This place is OK. Don't let the 3-stars I gave fool you. It isn't bad but it isn't amazing where you drive out of your way to try. It's a bar. The only bar within the Toyota Performance Center where the LA Kings practice, USC Keck office, and hockey and ice skating lessons are at. They do not allow outside food so when you're in there, you have them or some vending machines. Staff will tell you to order from them and you are not allow to bring food. First, finding it. It's on the second floor towards the North-West corner next to the pro shop (behind the bar). It's a walk up counter to order. You pick it up there too. Then you take your order wherever you're going. The other option is go into the bar area and order a drink and food there. The order they usually have is typical American pub food. Fries, pizza, sandwiches, pasta, burger, etc. It isn't bad but also not extraordinary, so it's okay (hence the 3 star, which means ok). Condiments are available but you have to ask (pandemic precautions). The staff behind the counter are nice and friendly.

Yelp
We were just in LA for the night and needed a place to get dinner so after looking a bit online decided the menu looked okay and we could get a beer here. We had no idea this was the Kings training center and when our driver dropped us off we felt a little bit like trespassers. We kind of skulked inside and then saw the bar and headed that direction. Service is not great, but very friendly. Food is only so-so as well, but it was decent enough. Felt a little weird to be served in to-go boxes, but I guess that's just what they do here. It wasn't busy and there were some hockey players practicing, so I'm assuming the boxes are because people get food and go all around with it, so it makes sense. I can imagine that it's pretty cool to come have a beer and watch practice. They also have some cool sports stuff and facts all around, which was interesting. Can't say I see this as just a neighborhood bar, but def if you're into the Kings it would be cool.

Yelp
First time eating here. Took me a little bit of time to find it as it is located inside of ice hockey recreational facility., The Nachos were excellent, and I would order again and again. The buffalo bites, on the other had, were nothing special. I suspect I can pick up a pack from the frozen section at Costco and get about the same quality. The atmosphere is cool. I can watch a dozen or more screens showing games, or watch any of the games going live in the arenas. There was also figure skating while I was there. I'd probably go back again next time I travel to LA.

Yelp
Delicious and v cool! Walkable from my office, it's where the Kings practice and the veggie burger is AMAZING! As are the curly fries, and you get a TON! I'm so excited about the convenience and ambiance of this spot- super chill- I could hang here solo or with friends for lunch. Perhaps after work for a drink as well! Can't wait to try the breakfast too! :-)

Yelp
I go here once a week when i'm in the office. They have great food and service. I usually go with the Veggie Burger and they never disappoint.

Yelp
I come here on my lunch sometimes & the food is delectable ! The sad thing is that the only time I feel comfortable eating at King's Cove is when Manny is on the clock ! I feel like my partner & I get ignored when Manny isn't there. It's as if their white clientele is their priority ... by the way I'm Mexican & so is my partner hope this helps :) 5 Stars Food 5 Stars Manny 5 Stars Manny not forgetting my pickles 1 Star Manny's day(s) off

Yelp
I'm actually impressed with the spot. They had the tent set up outside the of the venue. I can only imagine how things would be if things were inside but because of coviid they needed to do what they needed to do to attract business. The staff was pretty good or attentive real clear on the menus no issues there they had a couple of TVs outside so about 15 to 20 people sitting at tables can enjoy the games I had the buffalo tenders and it were very good very plentiful portions were a lot I definitely would go again to hang out at the king's cove to eat drink watch a game watch some ice hockey and enjoy the festivities Grade: B

Yelp
We do not have a professional ice hockey team in Hawaii, but we do have an ice skating rink. That's why this bar inside of the Toyota Sports Center - where the LA Kings practice - is very intriguing. .. I had just arrived at LAX. Yuri and I were looking for a late night place for a snack. King's Cove stays open until 1am and it's one of my bookmarked places, so... let's go! I believe that I learned about this venue from one of Rob A.'s check ins. (I do look once in a while at where my friends are going.) Rob had a great review that encouraged me to check this place out. However, I wouldn't go here alone since this is really a guy's type of place... I'm so lucky that Yuri has a sense of adventure and trusts me! It doesn't seem like there would be any place to eat between two ice skating rinks - yes, the Toyota Sports Center is rather large. Just walk through, past the locker room, Customer Service office, and trophy case. .. after you park in the free and convenient parking lot right in front! When you find the little bar surrounded by a short divider, look for the entrance on the right and have a seat. Service by Bridget is friendly and helpful! Yuri and I sat at the bar instead of the tables so we could watch the many televisions with sports and music videos! The Late Night menu seems reasonable and adequate! We got the Combination Platter for $7. The French Fries and Nachos (colorful, crisp tortilla chips topped with melted cheese) were not bad. The Buffalo Bites (boneless chicken nuggets instead of chicken wings) were too spicy for me - even with the ranch dressing. Beers came out to $5 each because we got $1 off since it was Happy Hour. I liked the fruity hard Cidre! I'd come back again! It was about 15 minutes away from the airport, so, if you pick me up, I'll take you to King's Cove - if you want to go! They even start breakfast starting at 8am here! It looks like fun! Maybe we'll get to watch the Kings practice or see people taking skating lessons!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem that I knew nothing about. I we came here because we saw a picture of the nachos, and we were not disappointed. I have been to the Toyota Sports Center on two different occasions and never stopped to eat here. Unfortunately, I wish I would have tried this place a long time ago. We also had the chicken tenders and curly fries, which were very good in my opinion! Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and it is a great place to watch the games that are playing that day. I plan on coming back for happy hour and their weekly specials that I saw on the menu. The bartender that helped us was extremely sweet as well! I will be telling my friends about our new happy hour spot!

Charmaine ..

Yelp
Food is actually pretty good, my favorite being the Santa Fe chicken sandwich. Ambiance is great for families and the service from most of the employees is great.

Yelp
Why is it called King's Cove? Well it's not because some royal windbag from ancient times decided to open a short order greasy grub hobbit shire in the middle of the Toyota Sports Center. No, this fine little establishment is tucked away high above the ice rinks where the Los Angeles Kings practice. The food's not bad and they serve breakfast. Get a bite to eat while watching people skate and/or practice and if you're lucky, the Kings might be down there going at it. The food is very similar to what you might find in your favorite bowling alley snack bar. Hey, there are bowling alleys that serve some tasty morsels. Plenty of parking and to find the place you have to actually enter the Sports Center. Walk on in and you're all set.

Yelp
If you are a hockey parent like yours truly, you are grateful that there is a place like Kings Cove where you spend a good amount of time. My kids have played other sports such as soccer, baseball, roller hockey...all are good and find but you know what they all lack? A full bar and bar food that is served warm and help when you're in the middle of that long day of "getting it all done" and you just need a freaking turkey burger already or a glass of wine, or a pitcher of beer or.... :) The food is yummy. Try the curly fries with ranch or the buffalo bites. Or the pizza. The only thing I didn't love is the kale salad. If you are a Kings fan, they are often practicing here, they will have morning skate when they are here for home games. Sometimes you will also see their visiting team, so if you are anything but a Kings fan (which I can't even fathom!) then there you go. Enjoy!

Yelp
It's a bar/restaurant you go to because it's the only choice you have if you're at the Toyota Sports Center. The food and drinks are mediocre. As a parent who is here every weekend for my child's ice skating, I'm stuck and so the location is convenient. If there were other restaurants or if this restaurant was outside, I would never patronize it for its food and drinks. Nonetheless, I'm here for hours every weekend so I usually grab a bite for my child and myself. Overall the food stands between 2-3 stars because it's take it or leave it quality. They usually have one really nice guy taking the orders and bar tending, he clearly busts his butt off. Today I had the misfortune of placing an order with some other guy who I had never seen before. He was the most disrespectful, arrogant person you can come across. On top of it he was hostile and literally aggressive. From cutting me off as I placed an order for my child to literally rolling his eyes and walking off in the middle of an order. It turns out, he is the son of the owners of the Kings Cove, it figures. If their son is any indication of the type of family owned facility this is, it's really unfortunate they got a spot at the Toyota center because, as I read in an article, their connection with management. There really is no need to be so rude to a regular or anyone, especially when you own it! They are lucky they are the only available restaurant with inherited clients(mostly parents stuck there) who have no other readily available choices. I can't visualize anyone coming in specifically for their food or the service by their spoiled kid who owns and runs it. To the owners of the Kings Cove, you said you have to give good service, does your kid know that too? Not worth ever stopping in if you're not stuck there for hours.

Yelp
This is a cool place to eat drink and watch hockey games live!! It was so much fun. Nice staff. Food is delicious I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Situated within the Toyota Sports Center this little Cafe serves up some really good food. Today we had a BLT, Pancakes, Oatmeal and Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Food was surprisingly on point, Latte's meh. How can you go wrong eating above the Kings Rink? Bustling with activity from the little gremlins playing Hockey, the place still manages to allow a peaceful meal. Parking can be a bit hectic, and ADA access seems to be available. All said, a very unique and enjoyable place to get a good meal.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Very good food & value! The owner & staff are terrific! Many beers on tap, lots of TV's for sports viewing, and you may even catch the L.A. Kings hockey team training! Being adjacent to a Green Line rail station makes it the by far the easiest & best South Bay option for pre & post event gatherings for Sofi Stadium.

Yelp
This is a great place to visit if you want to check out some hockey,. you might even get to see some King players. I have been here a few times and enjoyed a drink and them walked around. The prices are ok considering where you are. the place is clean and fun to stop in. The breakfasts are the best here. I have seen pizzas come out to. I did see a few salads go out. The service was fast and everything was cooked good. I had an egg sandwich and it was good! I got a coke and walked around after. I would recommend this place if your in the area to visit and take a look around...

Yelp
I sometimes come here at lunch to skate and to catch a quick bite to eat. This little place is situated in the center of the Toyota Sports Center. If your lucky the Los Angeles Kings might be running practice on the NHL ice while you are there. Bridget is a sweetheart. She keeps the drinks flowing and gets the food out in a timely fashion. The veggie burger and nachos are my favorites here. Last night they ran out of the nachos and pretzels. I was really hungry after playing hockey so I had to settle with salsa and tortilla chips. The chips were nice and warm. They do have Stella Artois on tap so Bridget kept the pitchers coming. They also have a wine selection. It would be nice if they had some hard liquors (tequilas, whiskeys, bourbons and rums.) ------------------------------------------- Came here for dinner and some drinks. The buffalo chicken bites are really good. Spicy, messy and tasty. Plus a good protein to match with my Stella. Again Bridget and her team rock! Was able to watch my team impressively win too.

Yelp
Our Doordash order got cancelled with no explanation when restaurant hours are open, and all calls go to voicemail. Disappointing.
google avatar

Yelp
I came across this gem of a bar by accident while on my way to pick up my niece from the airport. Good people, atmosphere and drinks....def will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Happy hour at 9 PM, $1 of all drinks. Check the web site for the hockey practice schedule. Pro shop open until 9 for gifts.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Always something to see here. Decent food and a late night happy hour every night after 9. I went here when it was nearly empty. It felt a little isolated, but the bartender was down for good conversation and a little while into it, a huge late night game of "broom ball" erupted on the ice. I didn't even know that was a thing. This place delivers but definitely isn't a place to take a date who likes people more than hockey.
google avatar

Amanda Paige M.

Yelp
I wanna give this place 3 stars because I came here for lunch and they were closed but that's my fault k suppose. It's a decent eatery at a skate rink but dont expect fine dining or anything. Nonetheless my coworkers and I have been here for the happy hour once or twice.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
Good place. Quality food for a sports bar in a hockey arena. Friendly bartender. Was staying at hotel next door so very convenient
google avatar

M Z.

Yelp
Food is usually pretty good except on Sunday's.the cook is horrible. Today we ordered a bagel and an egg burrito. The eggs were burnt, the bagel was stale hard as a rock. I asked for a fresh bagel unheated. The cooked put the stale bagel in the microwave and reheated and attempted to serve to me again. Finally got another bagel and that one was stale also. Creamer for the coffee curdled in my coffee. Avoid on Sunday if u want to get a quality meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to drink and watch some tv. Food is good and area is clean. Bar tenders are friendly.
google avatar

Sarai M.

Yelp
The 5 stars are very partial to the Kings practicing downstairs. There is honestly nothing better than eating some delicious nachos while watching the Kings and maybe sit next to a former King. Food pricing is a bit on the higher side but Tuesdays are your best friends.
google avatar

Denielle L.

Yelp
Chill atmosphere, good food, good prices, friendly staff, clean, sports on tv, hockey, hockey, hockey. Really what more can you ask for? It does get kinda cold because of the ice rinks; so dress warm. Came on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. I'll def be back!
google avatar

Christine A.

Yelp
Our son plays for the La Jr Kings and trains at TSC almost every day Thank you King's Cove for being there for us every day Great food, great service awesome people. Try their home made soup, healthy salads, amazing pizzas, delicious fries ... Basically everything on the menu is great, we have eaten it all. It all depends on your mood because for a small quaint restaurant, the selection is huge. Not to forget their amazing coffee named New Frontier coffee . My husband's favorite. Try it and you will not be disappointed There is also a sports bar with endless amount of TVs. I do not drink while at the rink but lots of people come to this sports bar to watch games on TV or a life game on the ice. I can see that they are having a great time. TSC is a great place, come and check it out Christine C.
google avatar

Carrie H.

Yelp
Just decent bar food. Came during Sunday football. Apparently, there's no waiter or waitress? We had to physically leave our table to walk to the bar to place our order. Staff was friendly though. It can get a little annoying when people come in & out of the bar. Slam the door, which makes the entire bar area shake! Sheesh !
google avatar

Rolo M.

Yelp
We went here for some pre-game drinks and a meal...ended up having to flag servers down repeatedly. Where's referee when you need one, talk about "delay of game." I tried two IPA's and none tasted like an actual IPA. Their wine selection was a little better than beer. Our food took 1 hour to arrive and by that time we got our food, we had to go to our seats and so we made it to-go. The tuna wrap wasn't so bad and neither were the fries. I saw other peoples frustration with the service. I think management needs to train their employees to handle things more effectively. The guys working the bar and kitchen seemed incoherent and just out-of-it, with the exception to the taller guy. Take your staff on a trip to Staples Center so they can see how it's done. I'll be back and I hope management will have resolved these issues.
google avatar

Josh P.

Yelp
Great beers on tap...friendly staff...the food is terrible. I am sure this place is terrific for parents with kids skating here, but not being a parent and just looking for a place to watch a game and have lunch and a beer...next time I'll just have the beers!
google avatar

Stan J.

Yelp
so I had chicken tenders with curly fries. the last several times they are cut from chicken breast not tenders. they were cut so thin the meat was dry and leather chewy. my order came out and the fries were cold, and greasy. so stay away from this item.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
This is a sports bar within an athletic complex, so it's hard to compare to other sports bars. The food was decent but not great. They didn't have the SEC network, but they are more known for hockey, so it makes sense. This place is most likely heaven for parents. They can watch their kids play hockey while having a beer. Will take note for when I have kids!
google avatar

Craig D.

Yelp
Odd little place that is actually located inside the Toyota Sports Center, which is the Los Angeles Kings Practice facility. Decent size menu, although they could really push it up a bit and do fantastic business. They have a nice selection of beers on tap, but it makes me wonder why they don't team up with El Segundo Brewery and offer a tasting night? Could really increase sales. Food was fairly decent, they make a nice chicken wing platter at decent price. My dinner companion had the burger, but suggested it needed a few improvements to make it great. But it's a fun place to hang out, you can watch the Kings practice, or kids teams play, or even watch the public skate. Also, on a hot day, it's a great place to cool off!!
google avatar

Simon T.

Yelp
Shockingly good food. Needed to escape work and find a place that was playing the basketball game and had good food and this was perfect. I ordered the Parmesan chicken sandwich and it was like the Italian chicken sandwich from BK but actually delicious. Loved the curly fries
google avatar

Dawn H.

Yelp
The restaurant is pretty good, all things considered. We went here twice over the weekend for a relative's hockey games. They had a decent selection of beers on tap, but some offerings from some of the local breweries would be much better. Quesadilla had a lot of chicken and the BLT had a lot of bacon. Fries were good. Happy hour specials are good. The Chinese chicken salad was just okay and needed more chicken. Also, the cafe down from the restaurant makes a pretty good mocha. It's a good place to "chill" (literally!) and watch some hockey.
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
Try the pepperoni & mushroom pizza, you won't regret it. The crust is just right, not too thick, not too thin. The garden salad is the real deal, lots of fresh veggies - and they toss it with the dressing which I like. Bret is a cool bartender, friendly & funny. They have about a dozen beers on tap including Guiness, which you rarely see
google avatar

Darla E.

Yelp
The fries are amazing! Quite the quantity of fries for 4 bucks is a steal! I love that we can grab some yummy food to eat while we watch the Kings practice or watch a local pee wee game.
google avatar

Kevin A.

Yelp
Great gem in a place that you wouldn't expect. Great food and atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice spot with friend,y bartenders. Food is good. You need to know this is part of the ice complex and not truly a sports bar. Kids will be taking their skates off next to you.

Joanna R.

Yelp
Great bar, great food.... But please be warned this bar is in the middle of an ice skating rink, which is kind of incredible. Just super random. Look for the place across from the vending machines for a great time

Yelp
great place to watch the Los Angeles Kings practice and to get some good food and drinks awesome time
