Boston’s Best Scorpion Bowls and Other Giant Cocktails to Share | Eater Boston

"Scorpion Bar isn’t the only Seaport destination for giant cocktails. Kings Dining & Entertainment, which features bowling and lots more, knows that pitchers of cocktails pair well with games. While it has offered a few different options in the past, Kings is currently keeping it simple with a one-and-a-half-gallon mai tai ($70)." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Terrible ambience, place is very dark and unwelcoming. Place has triple the staff than guests and they give off creepy energy. The drinks are terrible. Tried the Fiery Mango Margarita and it was basically just sour mix with jalapeños tossed in. Better off sticking with the Seaport location, wouldn’t be back to this dark and cold location if you paid me.

The manager is kind and checks on things. The staff is polite and fun. Place is clean. Pool tables are well maintained. Food is delicious and drinks too. Thanks for creating a great spot for me to have a meaningful Friday or Saturday!

Google
I was on a trip with family when we decided to stop by for a drink since we were staying across the street. Drinks were delicious, bartender was nice and the manager was great! Sent us back to the hotel with a pizza. There were pool tables, bowling and karaoke was going on in another room. Fun place!

The food is really good here. Have only went for events and the general vibe is nice. They make good non alcholic drinks and the servers are always nice. My only two gripes are 1) not being able to take home the leftovers of the food you paid for and 2) the pool table being too close to the shelf by the lanes. Otherwise recommend.

Service was really good. Bowling was fun. The pull pork sandwich was very soggy and the meat slid out of the burger very easily.

Came here with my sister for their free comedy night and we had such a great time!! It’s around Newbury Street so super convenient location and they have bowling and a bar here too so probably awesome place for dates and group work events too. Comedians seemed really nice and we got to see 5-6 do 5-10 min skits so it was a good variety! Also they didn’t pick on audience members much which my sister loved as she was a bit apprehensive about that earlier =p. Lots of politics jokes which makes sense given current climate ^^

I attended the first time this evening. I went with 3 others for the comedy show. The seating is not reserved so you may sit anywhere. We sat right up front and move 2 table together to seat all for of us together instead of 2 people per table (which is how they had the layout). The AC was out so it was quite warm upon entry and felt to get hotter the more people arrived. The host was a women with good energy and smiles, she wasn’t even jay funny but the show got progressively better. There were 4 comics and 2 out of 2 were good. And one of those was announced as a novice. That’s the talent portion. Our server had a relaxed character. He explained items to us and made suggestions. I felt he was honest on his opinions/ suggestions of the menu (to me is good instead of the “oh everything is amazing hype”). We had spring roll appetizer, pizza, fries, tinga taco plate and wings. The Hostess was cool also everyone was nice. The crowd was active. This places offered bowling, pool tables and arcade. We did not try any of those options out but I plan to go again in the future. It’s located I. The back Bay Area. There is street parking that free on Sundays (day we went) they also offer $5 discount if you park in the nearby garage (call to get the name of the lot, I forgot).

Always a great time here! Have had our server Eli a few times, and he is always attentive and makes it a wonderful and fun experience. Love the food and atmosphere. Thank you!

Yelp
Came here for a comedy show (free one which was awesome!!) with my younger sister. It was a really nice show!! Shout outs to all the comedians. Jokes about politics, dating and romance, and more. We appreciated that the audience members weren't getting called out much, which was good. So you didn't have to sit in fear of that happening lol. The venue was awesome - spacious but like just enough seating to feel comfortably full, not packed but just right. Dimly lit, bar with food and drinks nearby but also they nicely didn't pressure you to buy stuff. Just really nice fun atmosphere :).

Yelp
One of our team events related to the Boston marathon was held here. We had a back area reserved with a few bowling lanes. The food was basically various pizza, hot pretzels, sliders , chicken tenders. None of it was gluten free so I wasn't able to eat anything. Everyone at the party said the food was pretty good. The service was good as well. They did ask if we needed drinks etc. It did look like a fun place. They had pool tables, karaoke bars and the bowling lanes. It was located across from the convention center. We parked across the street at the convention center. Parking is super expensive. I think it was $25 for 1 1/2 hours. Would recommend for a party or team building location.

Yelp
Went here Sunday. Early this morning woke up throwing up, fairly certain from a chunky milkshake bought and drank here. Asked for a milkshake, they said they could make one even if it's not on the menu since they did have all of the ingredients. Strawberry. Didn't taste fake at all, sort of cheesy, ultra foamy. Thought the chunks were from strawberries and am realizing in hindsight that was overly optimistic. Anyway service is attentive. Other than that slim positive, prices are high, and kings on the north shore and in Dedham are leagues above this one. This is far more reminiscent of 90s basement bowl-o-rama. Playing early 2000s club/trap hits. Ambience is simply a miss. Will not be going back.

Yelp
Had a great time tonight bowling here, trying their shrimp bites and steak, and playing in the arcade! They also have a really cute holiday bar section open through the new year! I'll be back

Yelp
What a discovery! All the years I've passed this by. It's right across the street from the hotel I stay at too!!!! There are a lot of things to do here besides bowling and arcade fun... they have Kareoke! How fun is that??!!! Anyway I had a fun time here!

Yelp
Best bar in Boston - Royce and Max take care of you! Also the brussel sprouts are a must order

Yelp
A great group activity spot with a lively atmosphere - gives me 90s vibes! Many groups can fit in there but I believe making a reservation is recommended. There's bowling, pool, and arcade games, along with standard bar fare and sports playing on TVs all around. I wish there was hand sanitizer though, because it felt pretty gross to be eating finger food and bowling at the same time. The large pretzel was quite good - v buttery and salty. The servers came to check on our group several times. They were very prompt at ending our game once time was up. - Parking is difficult around there, especially on a weekend night. There is a garage next to it which is the easiest but comes at a price. We ended up paying $20 for 1.5 hours. - The restrooms were... dirty...

Yelp
Great atmosphere and excellent service. Our server, Gianna, was both efficient and entertaining, keeping our cups full of beer and our bellies full of laughter. I didn't much care for the strings holding up the pins, but the lanes were very well oiled, and in the bowling world that makes all the difference.

Yelp
Kings is a classic when it comes to bowling and arcade games. Although this location is a little more outdated than others I have visited, it gets the job done. Whether it is a rainy Saturday afternoon or a busy Friday night, this location hits the spot. We never have an issue getting a lane, but I do recommend calling ahead first just incase. There are a limited number of lanes and pool tables, but they are in good condition. The drinks are a great price and the staff comes around often. Although I have never had the food, the bbq tenders smelt incredible and the group of people bowling next to us seemed very satisfied. You can not go wrong visiting this spot. It has everything you would want and expect out of a bowling ally. Just beware of it being on the older side and the limited number of lanes they have!
google avatar

Melanie H.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE kings, it has everything you could possibly want and more all jammed into one location! I found this place originally from eventbrite, where they were advertising a free comedy show with people from popular comedy organizations and decided why the heck not! Let's give it a try! And I'm so glad I did! I split a huge side of nachos with my friends and got the Bull and bear drink which was absolutely delish (but was sad they ran out of gummy bears) ! But honestly they had a really good selection of a lot of things and fun booths to sit and watch the show. I would recommend going on a weekend when there's more people because the crowd really amps up the vibe of the place and makes it more fun! I have yet to try their bowling section or arcade but I love that they also have those options available for so many groups of people! Would definitely recommend this place for the indecisive friend group!

James W.

Yelp
Went to check this place out and was thoroughly disappointed and off put. The service was hostile and the venue was dirty. The food was cold and the management was rude. Would recommend other locations or just going to another bowling venue. I saw one of the managers berate a worker for helping a guest. Terrible ambiance. Would never take my family here again.
google avatar

Ansia F.

Yelp
I came here for the first time for the Comedy at Kings show. During the show I ordered the tacos and strawberry daiquiri which came out really fast. Also, the portions were huge. My waitress was attentive and really nice. On the other side of the venue appeared to be where the bowling alley and arcade were located. I plan on coming back just to checkout the other side.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday afternoon for a bowling outing with a few coworkers and we overall had a really nice time! I'd recommend making a reservation ahead if you're able to just to avoid any waiting. Asking for waters and other drinks was simple enough with the kind staff and the bowling experience was pretty good. One of our lanes stopped working once unfortunately which led us to have to ask for it to be reset and there also times when the pins would be set but then one would fall, making scoring incorrect as it wouldn't count the fallen pin as one being knocked down. Other than that, the experience was not too bad and I wouldn't mind coming back for another bowling event in the future. Thanks, Kings!

Yelp
A really nice place to go if you want to play pool or go bowling. Waitlists are usually a first come first served deal. However, when we decided to bowl while waiting for a pool table, we weren't notified when a table opened up and lost our spot in line. Drinks are good, food is hot. This location has a nice nightlife vibe to it, with neon lights and everything! Also, their arcade gaming room is FREE!

Yelp
I came here as part of a corporate party bowling event, complete with food and drinks, and we had a BLAST! Wide variety of delicious food was available, all displayed nicely and with style. Servers were very friendly, atmosphere was super fun, and (big pin) bowling was great! Have no idea on cost/value, but the experience was top notch!

Yelp
Fun place to go bowling, listen to live comedy, play billiards and to enjoy a bite. I had a crispy chicken sandwich with waffle fries. The meal was your typical bar meal, the waffle fries was a nice touch. The service was superb and the free show was a fun time on a Sunday night. Kings has a lot to offer if your looking for a place to unwind after a long week. Parking in the garage is available which is attached to the restaurant, it was $20 for the night when I went. There is street metered parking available not too far from Kings.

Yelp
I attended a corporate event for 200+ people. Bar service was good both quality of items and bartender service. Food was on par for bowling alley food, the activities (bowling, billiards and pinball) made for a fun event. In our event it was hosted bar, food and games....so I cannot speak to cost. I hope our group returns for the next convention at Hynes.

Yelp
This used to be our go-to spot for work events before the Seaport location opened. I have been here to celebrate my birthday too. You won't get amazing food but you will definitely have a great time. You can reserve lanes ahead of time or drop in. Shoes are available for rent too. All the food is alright. Some standouts were the pepperoni pizza (I mean cmon its pepperoni pizza) and the boneless wings. I thought the wings themselves were good but the sauce was only ok. There are LOTS of beers to choose from and you can get 1 liter mugs. Love it. Of course there are also games to play off the alley. Choices include skiball, air hockey, and a couple others. If you run into a mechanical problem, the staff services the machines quickly. We spend a lot of time on air hockey! And be warned, it will get hot in there.

Yelp
Great food. Order the pizza. Draft beer really cold. Bowling is fun. I wanted to thank Liz who was bartending for us. I know it was as a crazy day and she handled it like a champ. I also wanted to thank Leo, who kindly helped me with a situation I was in. I appreciate her a lot. Leo thank you. Great place for kids adults everyone really.

Yelp
I hosted an event for 50 people here. They did a great job. Great service. Exceeded expectations.

Yelp
King's is great if you go during a down time. I popped in around 4PM with a Nift gift and the place was pretty empty. There are Monday deals for all you can play and no wait for a bowling lane. I settled in with soy garlic tenders ($9), a warm chocolate chip cookie ($7), and a free cheese pizza upon checking in! Everything was good as your typical bar food as was service. Smells like your typical bar too, old juices on the wood. Their entrance is around the corner from the main street now.

Yelp
Kings is a great place to come and spend a night with friends or family. We came with a group of 15 for a birthday and they were amazing. We were quickly sat together and service was great. They even offered to split our checks for each person, so helpful. After we finished our dinner, which was perfect food to have before bowling, we ventured down to karaoke. After originally telling us the room was closed, they set up the machines and told us that we were welcome to sing a few songs. Our group had an amazing time all night and we will be returning soon. Thank you so much Kings!

Yelp
This is a nice location for an evening outing. They offer activities like bowling, billiards, and an arcade area. They were playing a lot of throwback early 2000s music! We went bowling when we came here and the total came out to be ~$20 per person for 1.5 hours. One of the gutters were jammed when we wanted it fully off and the staff weren't able to fix it, but it was still a perfectly playable. The staff were friendly and it was a pleasant experience.
google avatar

Marni M.

Yelp
Came here to get a round of pool in on a Saturday night. With about 10 tables available, it was pretty easy to get a table to play even though there were people elsewhere. The music was loud enough to vibe but still have a conversation. Would come if in the area for bowling and food next time around.

Yelp
My family came here for lunch and bowling on Black Friday to celebrate my dad's birthday. We had a very positive experience- the food was good, much better than your typical bowling alley and we didn't have to wait long to be served. I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad which was a nice size and contained a good amount of chicken. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich and said it was tasty. In addition to fountain beverages and alcohol, they also have a decent mocktail menu for those who prefer to not drink alcohol, but would like something other than soda. As for the bowling experience, we had a great time and were able to eat in our lane while playing. The machines at Kings keep track of the score for you, so that's one less thing to worry about. The ambiance is fun, relaxed and classy. Kings has definitely set the bar high for bowling alleys. This is a premium bowling experience, probably the most upscale you will find anywhere.

Yelp
Really horrible experience here, it makes me question if the employees are trained to have disregard towards their customers. Upon walking in the woman at the front desk area questioned the authenticity of my California drivers license. She nearly bent it in half trying to verify it. I asked if they had a scanner or an ID verification guide they could use, as I'm a bartender down the street and most places in Back Bay have them. She then called me "disrespectful" for asking that. Bottom line- the reason she didn't believe my ID was real is because it doesn't have the new California bear on it. Maybe you should educate your employees more because California ID's are not required to have a bear printed on them until October 1st, 2020. She then asked to see another form of ID to which I provided two of. After a while she said she "wasn't going to argue with me" and brushed it off and said she was just doing her job. She let me in after she embarrassingly was wrong but was visibly irritated. Word to the wise, you don't have to be condescending and rude to do your job.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I could give this place more stars, but alas, the experiences I've had at Kings have ranged from poor to mediocre. To start, we signed up for a Tuesday night bowling league here. The second week in, they said they didn't have our league on the calendar. The week after that, they had a company buy out. Another night they didn't have enough lanes. The waitstaff who took orders at the lanes did not come by often and checks/orders got mixed up when trying to close out. The most frustrating part was when lanes would malfunction in the middle of the games. Pros: -Location - easy to get to -It seems like they're trying to upgrade the space (they changed their bar area to "1UP," which I'm guessing will have arcade games). -They have a pretty good selection of beers and you can get drafts in different sized pours.

Yelp
The food was great and the food service was good except for the fact that I attended for a large gathering and the bartender refused to serve my co workers and I because a large group of folks in attendance for my gathering ordered a large amount of shots at once so that a large group of people could take shots. The bartender was very rude when I asked for two shots and a beverage for my coworkers and I and then gave us a time limit on shots. Even though I had not ordered a single drink from the bar at all, I was very confused that I was given a limit even though I did not have a drop of alcohol. We asked for an explanation to try to understand his reasoning and he very rudely threatened to not serve anyone anything for the remainder of the event. I understand how stressful the service industry is so the entire time we remind polite, but just explained our confusion. When we returned at the end of the time period he still refused to served us and ignored us when we approached the bar. I was shocked at how rude and dismissive this bartender was. Thankfully a server was able to help us in the end, and she was very kind and apologetic. I will not be returning to this location.

Yelp
Had a BLAST with my boyfriend here for Valentine's Day! We hadn't been bowling in forever. When we got to Kings, it was busy so we played pool and got drinks while we waited. My cocktail was so tasty and pool was so fun (and free)! We played pool for 30ish minutes and then our lane was ready for bowling. The staff was really friendly and helpful and it was just so much fun to bowl, I haven't done it since I was a kid!
google avatar

Connor W.

Yelp
I always have such a wonderful time here. The staff is kind and fun to be around and really help build the "cool fun bowling alley vibes" that make this location such a slay. My waiter Ryan was amazing, he was very fast and extremely helpful in assisting me and my friends. 10/10, would go bowling here again

Yelp
This is becoming a favorite spot of mine. Not only am I a fan because they serve the Impossible burger (Google it if you've never heard of it... it's a winner), this place is a great place to dine and for entertainment as well. Just found out they have trivia Tuesdays. So much fun and free prizes! And then there's bowing, life size checkers, basketball, pool, and a couple of other entertainment options. This spot is great for birthday celebration and after work happy hour with friends/colleagues. Did I mention the food? It's delicious! So many great options! Fan of Kings!

Yelp
Great selection of bowling balls, friendly service and nice draft beer. It was waking distance from the hotel so that was extra convenient. Update: We visited again We bowled one day and appreciated the wide range of bowling balls - even light ones with adult sized holes. Another day we stopped by in the afternoon so my husband could teach my niece how to play pool. It was really fun. Nice pool tables and adjoining area to set our drinks and sit. We didn't eat there though - just drinks and games as it was in the middle of the day.

Joline T.

Yelp
We came here to have some food and drinks before the RedSox game and when we walked in we're seated to a table by the bartender and told a server would be right over. After 15 minutes we went and asked someone if a waiter would be over and she said there is no waitress service until 5:00 so we went to the bar to put our order in. I guess the bartender was new and needed a manager in order to ring anything in. The drinks are week as shit...had to order 2 shots per drink and then our food took over 30 minutes. We ordered spinach dip as an app but came out all together with everything else and had a waitress who was able to check on our food and bring it to us. And the worst part...we sat and watched the manage stand behind the bar and blow her nose 4 times and never wash her hands! We will never be back hete! Disgusting

Yelp
Not always a strike, but overall I had fun. Compared to the Seaport locations, this Kings feels a bit more old school. It is smaller, the celings are lowers, and it has less swank factor. At the Seaport location you may go to it as a sports bar or to play in arcade, here the focus in on bowling. It wasn't crowded on a Saturday afternoon, but service was still somewhat slow. There seemed to be only one person at the bar, one person waiting tables, and one person handling the lane and shoe rentals. Food was mostly good. Their chicken wings were great. Meaty, crispy, flavorful, interesting sauces and dips. The pork nachos weren't bad either. They had tons of toppings including a lot of meat. The pizza was disappointing. It just didn't stand up to the other dishes and it failed the still good even when no longer piping hot pizza taste test. The Moscow Mule pitcher we shared wasn't the best. The bowling lanes and software worked perfectly. Come to bowl, and maybe even a bite (go for the wings). Don't expect great service.

Yelp
Me and my gf went to kings in December of 2029 right before COVID distorted the world. We had a great time having drinks and playing in the arcade area. The arcade games brand is back to the 90's has the games they had were half from pe-2000's. We throughly enjoyed our selves and would have came back again if it were not for COVID!

Yelp
I came here for my birthday with about 15 friends. I got the VIP package which included 2 hours of bowling which is about 2 games total for each lane. We had 2 lanes. The package also includes $100 worth of food. The total was $449 before admin fees (~$20) and tip. It was a pretty good value. I only wish that we were able to finish our second game. The clock starts from your RSVP time. It would be better if it was 2.5 hours or 3 hours so we can play and enjoy our food/drinks as well. This King's is quite small. More intimate. They have a few coin-operated games and board games. There is a bar and another area which I didn't really look at. We had our own server who was very helpful. We had two lanes to ourselves and two high top tables. Bowling itself was fun BUT THE BALLS HURT. They holes are sharp. I had to grab band-aids to cover parts of my fingers. The food is good. We got 4 pizzas, sampler appetizer, and 2 order of 10 piece wings. That came out a little over $100 and it was able to feed our group enough. Not full but fulfilled. You can always order more. Everyone had their own drink tabs which made things easier on us. The drinks are great! I would come back here to bowl. The packages make it fun for groups but they need some adjustment.

Yelp
Went with my boyfriend for date night. Called 2 hours in advance to inquire about bowling prices and I was told it would be $26 per person for unlimited bowling. However, we were interrupted after an hour saying our time was up and we would have to pay another $52 to play another hour. Needlesss to say I consider this a full scam factoring in the a la carte activities and pricy menu. My reservation was also never confirmed over text despite my request. UPDATE: GM was super nice about it and comped the bowling for the night as well as provided a card for free bowling in the future. This really impressed me and I felt a lot better after this interaction. The food was great, so I will probably end up coming back to redeem that bowling card! :)

Yelp
Everything here was not very impressive. The staff was fine (not over or under-attentive), the food was not very memorable, and the restaurant area itself was not very well maintained. Overall my experience here was fine, but I don't think I'll be returning. The location by the Seaport is so much better than this location, it doesn't even come close.

Yelp
I came here for a fun night of bowling after having dinner around the corner at Top of the Hub. I never got past the door. I had called and talked to someone at this establishment twice and they knew I was coming here for a special occasion and I was coming from out of state. Not one person on the phone, nor the website, indicates that to get in, you CANNOT use an out of state identification. I don't understand how this makes any sense. I can board an airplane and get through TSA with my New York ID card, but I can't get into a bowling alley? You can use a drivers license, but no ID cards. I would have been more understanding if the guys at the door were nice about it, but I really really wanted to show them the lead hook, uppercut, 1-2 punch that I've been working on.

Yelp
After the incredible Yelp Elite event here, I was excited to return. Unfortunately my "regular patron" experience was pretty mediocre. My group of 5 arrived around 3 PM on a Saturday afternoon, thinking it would be a slower time. Wrong. The wait for one lane was 1-2 hours. Which is a big time range, to say the least, but they have a bar! So I guess we can hang. We grab a table at the side bar area and let the waitress know we have a gift card. She informs of that there are limitations. Of course. It can't be used on alcohol, and you can't use just part of it, ensuring that we have to spend more than the amount to use it up completely. Well great. We order an appetizer sampler as well as an order of tortilla chips with guacamole and mango salsa. The app plate was pretty good with personal faves being the southwest rolls and the mac n cheese bites. There were too many chips and not enough dips, so the tortilla place was just ok. The drinks were also fine - we got a variety of daiquiri/margarita concoctions - although very sweet and overpriced. After nearly 2 hours, our buzzer goes off for our lane. We grab shoes and head over to the far corner of the space (that I didn't even know existed) for cosmic bowling. It was dark and the music was good, which led to a fun environment and us forgetting that it was still afternoon. More drinks! Bowling started off fine, but after a few rounds the machinery started malfunctioning and not counting all the pins that we knocked down. We alerted the staff, who looked into fixing it. For about thirty minutes. So we just hung out at the lane without bowling in the hopes that we'd be able to eventually continue with the accurate number of points (maybe that's why the wait for lanes is so long). Unfortunately, that didn't happen. They couldn't fix whatever bug was causing the inaccuracies, so we were forced to keep bowling and just not trust the score on the screen. We're all winners, right? Lastly, the waitress we had at the lane was in a funk. We ordered a brownie sundae, and when the glorious creation arrived, it came with just one spoon. There are 5 of us. We asked for more spoons when we eventually found the waitress again, and she rolled her eyes, returning about 10 minutes later. She asked how many we wanted (again, there are 5 of us) and dumped about 8 on the table. Luckily the ice cream hadn't completely melted at this point. Overall, Kings is a good option for a fun group outing, but you have to set your expectations. I'd return only if I know I have hours to kill (you never know when you'll actually get to bowl. or if the lane will randomly poop out on you), and if I don't have to pay for it myself (work outing, anyone? or better yet.. another free Yelp event).

Yelp
We came here on a stop during the Boston Urban Iditarod in 2013. ATMOSPHERE: Fun & inviting. STAFF: rude and unfriendly. I took what I dare say is the BEST PHOTO that this business has (see their photos) of The Silver Surfer (our team was Superheroes) in front of their bowling alleys. A brunette, female staff member rushed over, to kick us off the lane we were taking photos on, even though ALL the lanes were EMPTY, except the one lane were were bowling on. She gave no reason, other than the lanes were closed. This charity event brought Kings a LOT of business. They made us feel unwelcome and in the way, rather than the welcome, mid-day drink patrons we were! THE DEAL: If you love bowling, come to Kings... just don't stand in front of the lanes & pictures...OH NO!

Yelp
My friend visited Boston from Puerto Rico for the first time. We decided to end our night with bowling and found this place nearest us. Upon walking in, the security guard was friendly and greeted us with a smile and asked for our IDs etc... I've been bowling maybe once or twice as a young kid and don't remember prices and stuff like that. We were looking around and the black lady at the counter, in a very rude manner, said "ughhhh, right here, and rolled her eyes. Don't know why she was being like this, and the vibe had already became shady. We asked about the price and verbatim she said "20 dollars per hour". Cool, we thought. We proceeded to play for an hour, and we tell the waiter that it's cool and we're ready for our check. Bill came out to like 48 dollars. He explained to us that after a certain time on the weekend its 23 per hour per person, plus the cost of renting shoes. I get it, I perceived it incorrectly, and we paid obviously, but it goes to show you that people aren't cut out to be in the customer service industry. Never going back... maybe it's a ploy to get people to play the hour minimum, and if so, only scum of the earth like that girl would proceed with being so vague, uncaring, condescending and sour. Don't go there.

Yelp
Had a Team Event here last week and the entire thing was a great success... From the beginning with planning & going back & forth over Contracts.. Everything was great... I wonder if things would have been soo great had we just been in off the street. The food was bottomless and never ran out, the options were tasty everyone loved everything... We bowled for hours & it was a great time. We then did Ski-Ball and Pool which was also a fun time. Team loved it & I want to than Samantha for being the bestest! Would def like to try on a night with the BF...

Yelp
Solid fun time here last night with the girlfriend. The place was pretty empty on a Sunday night, so we didn't have to wait for a lane at all. The music was throwback 2000's which we had fun dancing to in between frames. Decently stocked bar and service was fine. Pricing is kinda high, though it is in the city. Plus points for the projector tv screens over the lanes so we could watch the Bruins game

Yelp
Disappointed in the staff overall. They were just super blunt and rude to be honest. Had heard good things but don't bother with this one I'd say.

Yelp
Came tonight for the free comedy show, but was very disappointed that after 1.5 hours of comics not one female comic took the stage. How can the make comics have the balls to get on stage talking about women when not even one woman spoke the whole night? It's 2022, I know we lost some rights but not our voice. Do better, there's no excuse for this blatant censorship and sexism.

Yelp
Food Review With their revamped menu, kings definitely upped their game. Their loaded sweet potato waffle fries app comes with pulled pork, cheese, and and egg and is definitely a meal in itself. I got the prosciutto ans fog jam pizza which was tasty and my friend got the jerk shrimp tacos. Loved the presentation of the tacos -- three tacos on a tray with chips and a side of guac and salsa in mason jars. The best was definitely saved for last went we got this BEAST of a smores sundae. Definitely for two (or one, I don't judge) and it came with little brownies as well. Seriously the size of my head! Do not miss this one. Out server Kara was very attentive and helpful, and also explained that everything in the kitchen is made from scratch, they don't even have a microwave. I was happy to hear that kings cares as much about the food as they do about the bowling! Their drink menu is also very interesting. I gives flavor profiles and rates each drink on sweetness so you know what youre getting. As someone who likes sweet, i found it very helpful

Yelp
The food at this location wasn't very good. I ordered the garlic wings and they were so overdone. They were tough and not juicy at all. Tasted like they were cooked yesterday. I usually enjoy the food and drinks at the Dedham location so I was disappointed here. Small location too so expect to wait over two hours for bowling. Drinks were too great either. We ordered Midori sours and they were pretty terrible. The sour mix was not good. I would stick to beer!

Yelp
Loved using the Groupon voucher with my friends for my birthday over the summer! Then was delighted that I came back here with my co-workers for a networking event. Compared to the Dedham (Legacy Place) location the Boston one definitely doesn't look as new or have as many lanes. They have a retro 50s style theme from the logo to the interior design. Conveniently located at a 5 minute walk away from the Hynes Convention T stop and with an adjoining garage with a huge "KINGS" banner, it was an easy place to find. Without the promotion, I'd say that the prices for bowling and rentals is a bit inflated compared to other bowling places. Definitely keep an eye out for the vouchers. The food at this place is decent, but nothing mind blowing. I think the Dedham location may be better. We had the cheese and fruit plate, scallop with bacon, beef teriyaki skewers, various flatbreads, sloppy joe sandwiches and way too much other food we couldn't finish unfortunately for my work group. They have custom drinks such as the Dude, which were reasonably priced and tasty. Overall we all had fun each time, but maybe due to the age of place there were several instances that when the pin reset there was one missing. This place also has the air hockey tables, but you need pre-paid coins in order activate these machines. Just due to the distance away from me I would rather try my luck with parking in Legacy Place rather than schlepping into Boston unless I was already in the area. Worth noting that they do validate for parking, which helps a little bit.
