King's Family Distillery

The King’s Family Distillery was an awesome stop on our trip thru the Smokies. Jessica was an amazing host and was very welcoming the minute we walked in. She got a quick rush of customers but still remained attentive to our party. The bourbon and whiskey were so good we left with 6 bottles! Definitely stop in.

This is the best distillery in Pigeon Forge. Their bourbon and rye has some nice age on it and the blending they are doing makes me happy. I visit every time I am in the area.

We visited King’s Family Distillery and were well pleased with our tasting experience from start to finish. When they offered us a rye sample, I confidently said “no, thanks.” Well… fast-forward to the end and you’ll see Ryeconic made its way home with us — that’s how good it was. Gina was our host and absolutely crushed it. Her product knowledge was sharp, thoughtful, and way beyond what you’d expect for her age — she gave us all the details we didn’t even know to ask. From high proof bottles to unique finishes like port wine and BBQ collaborations, their lineup is seriously strong. Give them a try and remember — buying local goes a long way. We’ll be back for another round.

First time trying their whiskey and was very impressed. JJ took great care of us, walking through their bourbons & ryes. They have an amazing selection with incredible flavor profiles including my favorite a maple toasted bourbon. If you’re ever in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, Kings Family Distillery is a must visit!

Before visiting King's Family Distillery in Sevierville, I researched their lineup to see which spirits I’d lean towards. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by Becca, who was incredibly warm and knowledgeable about everything they offer. As I continue to refine my palate for whiskey, bourbon, and rye, I really appreciated the chance to sample 10 different bottles. My only complaint was how difficult it was to choose! While the Cigar Blend was amazing and the 10-Year American Light Whiskey (a 155-proof "hazmat" bottle) was a very strong contender, I ultimately went home with the TN Standard Toasted 118 Proof

King's was amazing! The tasting room is fantastic and the products are amazing. Rebecca was friendly, knowledgable, and provided perfect details to help me select 2 excellent bourbons. If you're in the area and looking for a top tier bourbon or whiskey definitely make a point to atop in at King's.

We have been coming to visit the smokies for about 16 to 17 yrs now and one of the years we came down the mountain from the cabin we saw this distillery and stopped in. They had not been open for long when we came in there there was no store items just the bar. We grabbed the Rye (which is our favorite) and the Bourbon and have been coming back and buying a couple cases each time. We can not get this in North Carolina and so we stock up. My husband still has a bottle of the Select 14 yr. old single barrel he has never opened. They make great gifts for our friends too. We were up there a couple of weeks ago again and Becca let us taste the new ones and she really was sweet and very well knowledged about the line and helped us pick our next selection to take back with us. I wanted to stop in before we left to see Becca on our way out of town and to grab the chocolate one but our vehicle was just to full. We know we will come back again. Thanks for the hospitality, conversation, and a wonderful way for us relax at the end of a long day with a glass of an excellent whiskey from King's.

WOW! my husband and I stopped in for some samples and were immediately greeted by Dennis asking us, "if you were to go into a liquor store, what would you buy?" He tailored our tasting for all things whiskey with a few that we weren't expecting to like but we were blown away with how incredible each one was. He was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job at sharing the history and origin of each recipe. He made us feel welcomed and that we were in good company. Even while other guests arrived, he took care of us. All of the whiskeys by far surpass all of our expectations. We were blown away by the quality and flavor of each one. Kings is bybfar the best distillery in the area. We plan on returning for our next trip (hopefully Dennis is working ) but will order online until then. Thanks Kings! Always love stopping here to taste and to stock up. They're always pushing the flavor train with aging and barreling and all manner of distilling adventures. We stopped in today and had a great tasting and took four bottles home! The staff is always helpful and very knowledgeable about their portfolio! We'll be back for sure. If you're in the area this is a must stop.

Huge fans of this distillery. Plenty of parking. They are ready for tastings. I tried the Amburana finished Bourbon. I Amburana everything. Be aware. There are no public restrooms.

King's Family Distillery is an excellent stop for your whiskey needs in Sevierville. I love whiskey and on my family's most recent trip to Tennessee, I definitely wanted to look for any unique bottles I can find. King's Family Distillery was conveniently located at the bottom of the mountain that our cabin was on. A quick 5 minute drive and we were there. It was a weekday and it was quiet. The friendly girl behind the counter welcomed us and allowed us to walk around a peruse at our leisure. She offered tastings of any of the bottles we were interested in. I tried their King's Bourbon to start. It is a single barrel and high corn mash bill. It was good. I also tried their single barrel select 16 year. This is a limited release and bottled at 140 proof. It was bold to say the least and while I liked it, I wanted something with a little more drinkability. Then I tried their wheated bourbon. This bourbon was sweet and subtle with caramel and butterscotch and just a bit of that wheaty flavor on the end. I knew that was the one when I tried it. I immediately bought a bottle. I was glad this distillery was right there and had excellent offerings. They had something for everyone and were very reasonably priced. On our way home I found a bottle of Kings at a store in Georgia and it was priced much higher than at the distillery. It was nice to find something that I can't find at home in Florida and will cherish this bottle while it lasts. If you're a fan of whiskey, check this place out.

I stopped to pick up food and seen a sign that said Distillery. I'm like I have to stop. I walk in and just a young lady at the front. I asked if I were able to sample anything, if a minimum was set and cost etc; she said no but just needed to see my id. It's a TN law, and when you're passed 41 you love being carded. I started with the Rye and I liked it. Smooth tasted caramel but very good, moved on to the bourbon 94 proof, good as well. I tried two rums one was a toasted coconut and wow that hit the spot but it was a lower proof at 40%. I started to look around for bottles and noticed they had an Apple Brandy, I went up to checkout and asked if I could sample the apple brandy and she said yes. It was at 100 proof so it's strong and damn was it good and picked up a bottle for $29.99 which is a solid price. I think I will come back for my wife to try and for us to get our friends their Christmas gift. This was a surprise find and hidden gem in my book. The lady that worked here was nice and answered all my crazy normal questions that I have like when did you open? 2018, where do you make the mash and distill the liquor? In Indiana, what size barrels do you use and she pointed and I said oh the 53 gallons and she nodded yes, and how long is it aged? Depends but the brandy was 5 years and lastly she said that they do the making of the whiskey and aging in Indiana but ship the barrels here in TN and it's bottled and served here. I'd love to know the why on Distilling in Indiana instead of Tennessee.

TLDR: FREE MOONSHINE TASTINGS. Excellent customer service and flavored moonshines. While driving though the area, King's Family Distillery caught our eye. We parked, ordered pizza next door, and walked into King's. The walls are lined with various moonshines and bourbon. The welcoming bartender informed us that we could try any of the flavors. We decided on the chocolate, peach, blackberry, and creamy peanut butter. We purchased the chocolate and some bourbon. The tasting was quick and enjoyable. Prices are reasonable although the liquor cakes seemed expensive. The distillery offers a variety of distilled creations to taste. Overall, we had a good experience here and recommend it to others!

Very nice tasting experience. Bourbon is excellent and has been aged unlike much of the whiskey in the area. Very low pressure environment. Taste what you want, including the higher end varieties, for no cost. Service was excellent and very friendly.

A friend introduced me to blackberry whiskey from here, and I didn't think I'd like it, but I love it! When I had the opportunity to stay near the distillery, this was my #1 to do item. We came close to closing, but the employee was great in letting us try various types of whiskey and even their vodka. Grabbed a few blackberry whiskeys for the trip home and savoring every drop!

Saw the signs for this small distillery and thought we'd give it a try. While it's small, it was great! There was no charge and we were able to sample as many as we wanted. The person working was very nice and the things we tasted were so good! Highly recommend the chocolate whiskey-it's just like a tootsie roll! We all left with bottles!

This is a great distillery! You'll find a lot of flavored moonshine in this area but this is one of the only whiskey and bourbon heavy distilleries. They have other selections like vodka and rum which are fantastic too! You can tell they use quality ingredients because they need fewer distillations which comes through in the favor. This is a must stop if you are near Dollywood because it's just down the street! The service was amazing too!

Tasty bourbon for a fair price! Compared to the big distilleries King holds their own. I just wish they could ship to Virginia (ABC).

They had a good selection. The girl that helped us knew her stuff definitely a must when you're in the area. They had 140 proof.

Had a great experience doing a tasting here today. Friendly and knowledgeable with a great variety of bourbon, rye and light whiskeys. There was also vodkas,rums and brandy. Highly recommend.

Hands down this is the best place in the area to find authentic bourbon, friendly service, and a lot of merch. Their straight bourbon has no rye content, and the 15-year is absolutely worth the $100 tag:

The person helping us was so friendly and knowledgeable about the liquor. We had tastings and left with 6 bottles ( hope they fit in suitcase) !! I would suggest this for anyone looking for Tennessee liquor

Ok so we don't drink a lot but wanted to get a nice bottle of whisky so decided to get the ryconic it's around 90 something a bottle. I think around 100 something proof. The lady at the counter was very helpful and nice but unfortunately she didn't warn us to prop our bottle upright in our car. they don't use bottle tops that secure but just a bottle cork top. We lost about a quarter of our whiskey. We had no idea this would happen. Should have been warned since it's summer. And they won't do anything for you but offer 50% off on your next bottle. Doubt we'll be here long enough to drink it all .

Folks, stopping by to visit the King family while in the while in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area is a must! Knowledgeable, friendly and just down right fun. Well worth a visit on a hot, humid Tennessee afternoon.

What an amazing experience! I had been researching their bourbons and ryes and was excited to finally visit to try them and I was NOT disappointed. They were all fantastic and prices are very reasonable for a small craft distillery. Teagan was very knowledgeable about their history and details about each sampling. Her and Josie were extremely friendly and I cannot wait to go back to visit. It is very hard to recommend only one, so just buy them all!

Loved everything about the staff was great it was not overwhelming with stuff so we got to enjoy our self. I got the lemon vodka.

If your in for tastebud surprises, this is your place. Forget the commercial liquor places that "everyone" in town is getting that sell the same ole stuff. Kings Family is unique in everything they do. There are years of knowledge and hard work that goes into every bottle produced. They do t have a huge warehouse off site where bottles are mass produced. They do it one at a time, checking each and handwriting the batch number. Come in and taste the difference and you will leave all those other places in the dirt. A few miles off the strip in pigeon forge. Cheers and Enjoy!

Best tasting in town and best whiskey! Not just flavored moonshine but bourbon and rye. Some sourced from MGP and the rest distilled in-house.

What an great find. They had a great selection of whiskeys, according to my husband who pretty much tried them all. And even though I do jot even like whiskey, I tried the blackberry whiskey and loved it! Perfect evening drink on the rocks!

Went there because of many social media has advised and I would recommended this to anyone who pass around Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, the service has been amazing and gave us his undivided attention toward our best interest. The store is full of their bottle and they have the wishes to make you try all their flavors.

This distillery makes outstanding liquor and has awesome customer service. The tastings are very well explained and the fact that they keep pushing the boundaries making new variations of their liquor is impressive. The only knock I have is that they are considerably more pricey than others in the area but that's no doubt due to process and ingredients.

One of the best distilleries in the Pigeon Forge area. Almost all of the other distilleries focus more on super sweet moonshine varieties, but this place has several delicious bourbons and ryes. Very friendly staff. They allowed us to taste every spirit they sell for free! Which was extremely exciting considering there were 15 or so. They even have a few vodkas and a gin. I can't wait to go back to pick up some additional bottles! Unfortunately about an hour before I visited, they sold their last 2 bottles of a 14 year old bourbon... So here is hoping next time I visit that they have some additional kinds to try and buy!

This is a local place that has the best whiskey, vodka, bourbon, and rum you will ever buy. Whatever they're doing everyone else isn't he surrounding area should figure it out because it is the smoothest liquor we have ever had! We had people from over 8 hours away ordering up for us to bring it back with us.

This cute little distillery was right near our cabin in the Smokys so we stopped in although nervous due to COVID. We were quite pleased with how COVID friendly and customer service oriented King's is. All of the tastings are FREE which was great and there was about 13 options. The bourbon is award winning and it's delicious. They also offer a unique ginger vodka which we purchased. Highly recommend this quick stop on your journey in the Smokys!

Had a lot of fun here, they're very helpful in helping you choose your favorite choice of drink to take home. Great "covid" set up and there was nobody there during our tasting. Come get some local TN Whisky!

This place is great. Theresa took us through a tasting and informed us of some of the more subtle notes in spirits that we don't normally consume ( vodka, gin) . We are huge bourbon fans and already had a bottle of their bourbon at the house. We adopted 4 other King's Family Distillery offerings yesterday and we can't wait to share them with friends!

I went in a got bourbon for my stay across the street and returned for a few more to take home. The bourbon is fabulous and I also got a bottle of rye. The rye is good, but WOW I love their bourbon

Hidden gem! It was at the bottom of the mountain from our cabin, so off the busy path, but we'll worth the visit. They will give you a taste of everything, including the $90 special whiskey. My husband is a big fan of whiskey, but I've never liked it until now. The peach whiskey is perfect for the non-whiskey drinker (I had to buy a bottle). They also have a delicious ginger vodka that's very clean and easy to drink. Ask for the pickle chaser too for their moonshine.

I asked if everything was made in-house. They said yes. I bought a bottle, but on the bottle it says "distilled in Indiana", which if you don't know means that it was probably made by MGP. So this rating is just because I was lied to. Whiskey is good, but I overpaid for it. I really don't mind if distillers bottle from other distillers until they have their own product. But I expect honesty.

This is off the past so you will have to drive to find it. They don't have a lot but everything was delicious and top notch. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. This is a must stop if you enjoy whiskey or vodka

There is a young blonde women who works there and she was so knowledgeable and helpful not to mention how fun she made the experience. In addition there is a free tasting of all the products that they sell. Great experience 10/10 definitely would recommend.

Love the apple whiskey it's my favorite. The owners are nice and awesome. Will be back!!

Kinda off the beaten path, but it is a gem of a place to stop at. The owner was pleasant and knowledgeable, definitely recommend stopping here.

Some of the best the area Has to offer. If your looking for something better then the rest this is the place to go.
