The Best Places To Eat Hawaiian Food In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"In addition to those orange bags of sweet, sweet rolls at the grocery store, King’s Hawaiian Bakery also has not one, but two brick-and-mortar restaurants in Torrance. Our preference is the flagship Bakery & Restaurant on Sepulveda Blvd., but not because of the food - everything from the loco moco to the huli huli chicken (which comes grilled, with a brown sugar, ginger, and soy sauce reduction) is honestly kind of forgettable. Plus, they described the lomi lomi salmon to us as “ceviche,” which it most definitely wasn’t. But you’re not here for the food, you’re here for the baked goods you can’t find anywhere else, like the guava chiffon, almond pinwheels, and haupia cake, which is basically coconut pudding on top of vanilla chiffon and is legit." - kat hong

Where To Preorder Thanksgiving Pies In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Your family might be happy if you just brought a bag of sweet rolls to dinner (or showed up on time for once), but you can also stop by the King’s Hawaiian restaurant and bakery in Torrance for unique pies, including chocolate haupia, apple, custard, key lime, and banana mac berry, as well as fresh fruit tarts and cakes. Pickup orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance, online or over the phone." - sylvio martins

Had to pick up a load at 11pm checked in an hour early.. was greeted by very nice dock workers for trailer inspection ( make sure your trailer is clean).. checked in by the door under the trees.. given a door immediately… They even gave us some Hawaiian Rolls!! Very nice and professional people here. It’s a little tight getting in dock due to employee parking in front of docks, but got lucky at night because there’s not as many cars parked here during night shift!!

Bakery-café with fresh malasadas and hawaiian rolls that are still warm. The spam musubi and chicken katsu plate are dependable favorites. Service is fast even when the line stretches out the door. Plenty of parking in the lot and a drive-thru for pastries. Great stop before hopping on the 110

I will never go to Kings Hawaiian Restaurant Ever! I went there to purchase cakes for my favorite co workers and I am standing in line I was the next customer and I look at the Donut and Cake case and there were bugs flying all over the cases. I was grossed out I got a management to take a look at her bugs and Donuts case. This was on Western and 186th. Never will go back. I don't even buy the bread anymore. I don't know how clean their factory is. I am terrified. I got 4 pineapple ice cream.

Arrived on time I was greeted rudely by some guy named Pedro. Wanted my ID gave it to him he made a phone call because he say I wasn’t on report. Some guy named Eduardo showed up and told me he made changes today. Very racist to me because I was not Mexican, when told them I needed to pray because I was Muslim. Pedro made bad comments about my religion I seen employees give free bread to other truck drivers will never come here again for delivery
