The food is delicious and affordable. I love their pork in noodle soup. Whenever we drive into the city, this is the only food I ever want to get but it's not always feasible to get there. This is my all time fav and I will fight anyone over it haha.

The duck dishes are so nice! It was just $14 each, don’t forget to ask for plum sauce. So juicy duck! Thank U so much for making a delicious one to make your customers happy day :)

The food was ok, typical downtown Chinese food standard, not great but not bad. You can tell the style is more old school which some will like. Average prices average sizes. They open early which is a plus and only reason I would come.

Can't go wrong by stopping into King's Noodle to address your noodle soup craving. A Chinatown staple since forever, serving up traditional Hong Kong/Cantonese cuisine. Tried both wonton with rice noodle, and roast pork with rice noodle (on separate days). Both were good. Portion size is on the slightly smaller size. The roast pork was very good. I would say the wontons are good/average. Prices are very reasonable - between ~$9 and ~$11 per bowl.

I have a good experience every time here with the BBQ Duck with Wonton Noodles soup. Amazing taste of duck, the atmosphere are a little quite for lunch cause but I love it. I’ve been here 6 years ago and still come here until now. So tasty noodles!!

Google
Food: 4 Stars Service: 2 Stars Ambience: 2 Stars Value: 5 Stars Overall: 3.25 Stars King's Noodle Restaurant offers an enticing array of food selections that can easily draw anyone in. The BBQ pork rice rolls and dried shrimp rice rolls were standout dishes, bursting with flavour and expertly prepared. The menu is extensive, with many other delicious options that cater to various tastes. The prices are very reasonable, making it an affordable dining choice, and the portion sizes are generous, ensuring you get good value for your money. However, the dining experience was severely let down by the service. Despite the delicious food, the service was nearly non-existent. It took considerable effort to get the attention of the staff, even for basic requests like placing our order or getting water or napkins. This lack of attentiveness was particularly disappointing as it created a feeling of being neglected throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is decent. We visited for a routine lunch, with standard expectations for service, but the experience fell short. It's a shame because the quality of the food deserves better service to complement it. In conclusion, while King's Noodle Restaurant excels in offering tasty dishes at great prices, the poor service significantly detracts from the overall dining experience. If they can improve in this area, it would greatly enhance the overall experience and make it a more enjoyable place to dine. kellychan360

At $16 a Lb, this has got to be the most expensive Chinese BBQ pork anywhere in Greater Toronto. This pork (Char Siu) is extremely salty and chewy, like I was eating a piece of jerky, and not a well-cut piece at that. Wholeheartedly not recommended.

Price increase currently it’s 19$ for a plate of duck and pork noodle, portion is smaller and more bone then duck meat. Two orders come to 45$

When traveling to Toronto, my husband and I have always come to this restaurant to enjoy the variety of Asian food served. However, this year, we were not impressed. The food was bland. I had the fried noodles with chicken in black bean sauce and veggies. The portion size was good. The noodles were delicious, but the chicken was undercooked, and there were too many green peppers. I was expecting better veggies than just onions and green peppers. The black bean sauce was non-existent. Very disappointing. My husband had roasted pork with steamed noodles. He said it was "terrible. It has really gone down. " I think for our future trips to Toronto, we will either find another Chinese restaurant or just have another type of food.

Yelp
I honestly don't know what's the best restaurant in Chinatown, but this place was kinda empty when we went on a weekday night. We really liked the snow pea leaves, but the fishballs soup was alright. They didn't taste very fresh. I also had pork with wonton soup, but some of the meat was not fully cooked. The soup was not very flavorful either. Service was fine especially since they were not busy.

Yelp
Legit HK-style noodles - I'm lovin' it! This is Cantonese fast food but 10000x better. Seemingly simple yet so good. They are the masters of the craft, indeed. The noodles were perfectly textured, crunchy, and bouncy. The soup was made according to HK standards - the proper way with dried shrimp flavor. It was rich and strongly flavored that way. According to the HK expert, mom, that is the proper and legit way. 100% approved. The price is right on point for a quick, simple meal. The waitress was straightforward, and the tea is not an extra charge. Just be careful as the tea is super, super hot. The noodle shop is my cup of tea as I'm familiar with places like this. I love it. It is the Chinatown feel. Lots of older folk eating there and not in a rush. They're reading the newspaper or chatting away. So don't be too worried if it's not the cleanest place as everything else more than makes up for it. The food is legit; the environment is legit. Check, and check.

Yelp
It was my first time going to this restaurant. And we both ordered rice dishes rather than noodle dishes because we forgot the name of the restaurant is King's "Noodle", lol. So it might be our fault. Whatever, we felt the dishes we ordered were really ... plain. We finished them all just because we were hungry and food in Toronto is pricy... so we were obligated to finish all the food to make our money worth... If I'm as rich as Drake, I would just leave the dishes on the table and leave. Another bad thing is it had many flies when we were in the restaurant. That is another factor that contributed to our unpleasant experience. However, if we had another chance, we'll order noodle dishes

Sel Z.

Yelp
Sub-standard food for a Chinese restaurant. The only good thing about it is that they cook very fast. The rice dishes are all very bland and tasteless. Seafood Fried Rice is 98% rice and barely has any seafood (only half pieces of very small shrimps and squid, which you could barely taste). The Cod with Sweet Corn on Rice seems to be mostly rice and flour (not much corn). Also bland. The veggies are ok, but still quite oily.

Yelp
King's Noodle was on the list of Essential Toronto restaurants. They offer Canto cuisine, esp stuff hanging in the window, like roast duck, roast pork and char siu. King's is on Spadina in Chinatown. I ordered the duck & char siu plate. Although the items tasted good, the portion was small for the price IMHO. I had to have some of my travel companion's won ton mein to feel even close to satisfied. Regarding the ambiance, its your typical Chinese restaurant. It wasn't crowded, but there were some older native speakers present. The service was fast & efficient. It was nice they took USD, bc this was our last lunch b4 our flight in the evening. We had run out of C$. Unfortunately, after I returned home I saw a IG clip of Toronto Chinese BBQ places. King's wasn't on the list. However, the places that were had much bigger portions vs King's. Lesson learned: Before you visit a new city, obtain your recs from multiple sources. In addition, do your research.

Yelp
Food was great and staff were nice. CASH ONLY! 1.1 Cad : 1 USD versus the actual conversion rate. At the time we just went "ok" and added a few extra dollars to make sure we included tip..but I wonder if they do this lower conversion to include tip? Shrugs but will come back next time we visit Toronto.

Ploywao B.

Yelp
*BEWARE* The food was good but they took advantage of us by charging more than the original bill! I added everything we've ordered together and it should've been around $85 USD with tax. They informed us that it was CA$130 which is around $96 USD. Then they said it's actually $115 USD. That is a huge difference! The receipt was not itemized and we were not able to read it. We did not want to argue and waste time so we gave them $120 USD since they only accepted cash. They gave us CA$5 in change, which is even less than what they owed! (By reading the reviews, they most likely have already included a tip to the bill without letting us know.) Definitely disappointed by how dishonest they are. Be cautious when you come here!

David L.

Yelp
I always go there for the most authentic Chinese food. It's not Chinese-American, but genuine cuisine. The bowl of chicken corn soup is a meal in itself. You also get a native experience when seated. If there are no free tables, you'll be seated anywhere they can find room, even with perfect strangers. And you won't find a fork anywhere. They don't cater to people who don't know how an actual Chinese restaurant functions.

Hilary K.

Yelp
Driving By Spadina ... there's tons of goodies everywhere how can you pick one place when everything and everywhere looks so delicious!! So many authentic asian dishes everywhere as we were in the Mecca of Chinatown Toronto. This place caught our eyes in particular why you may ask? They have their ducks hanging out the window display which is usually what trips me and my husband!!! We also saw lots of locals enjoying their meals here!! So we decided ok that's it that's the one! Service: very quick and efficient.. It was pretty decent I'd say but not over the top friendly. They make you pay Cash only ** which is not the best when you travel they force you to go to their ATM machine if you have no cash. Pretty annoying to say the least. It's not cheap either came down to 60 $ ish for everything. Around 20$ per dish We obviously got some peeking duck and bbq pork To stay a lil healthy we also got some mixed vegetables. We mainly wanted Chop suey, I guess they misunderstood as they gave us a mixture of veggies and not much bean sprouts.. only complaint The chineese donuts where amazingly fresh, airy, and flakyy tasted exactly how I remembered from this one place in Montreal The duck 5+++++++ fresh and deelish it was soo tender and just ready to be devoured I enjoyed it so much definitely recommend!! The BBQ pork was good slightly overcooked but still tons of flavour .. maybe will skip the pork next time Overall, the duck was the highlight and that's what we came here for! Definitely worth trying the duck and the desert bread was SOOOO GOOD Id skip the pork and the veggies but that's your call Cheers

Yelp
Unfortunately, the food at this restaurant is now too consistently lacklustre for the previous high rating. Both quantity and quality have collapsed. The prices went way up, which is acceptable, but the standards also went way down simultaneously, which is less acceptable.

Edmund Y.

Yelp
The Beef Chow Fun was good. It was flavorful but not greasy like some restaurants. The House Chow Mein lacked flavor and bordered on being bland. The noodles were deep fried not pan fried. It had a mixture of shrimp, pork, squid, and veggies. The Cheung Fun wrapped Chinese donut lacked taste and texture. I would not recommend this. The Chinese donut would be great by itself if it were crunchy but it wasn't. The Two Item BBQ was fair. The BBQ Pork was lean and tasted good. It could have been sweeter but that's just my preference. The roast duck was meaty but lacked flavor. It bordered on being gamey as there was not sufficient marinade. The duck sauce was meh. ***Be aware. Staff tagged on a service fee without notifying us. It was also not labeled on the bill. However, when asked, the server was honest that it was a service charge. Very sneaky! We actually left a tip on the table until the server admitted to their underhanded service fee. We only had 3 people in our party. Dirty little hamsters!!!! Please check your bill carefully. They also mopped the floor while several tables were present and eating. This is not a hygienic practice.

Yelp
Really disappointed with my Skipthedishes order from King's Noodle 296 Spadina Ave. Ordered BOGO offer for General Tso's Chicken. Assumed the dish would be normal-sized. Instead the 2 containers I received were actually half the size of normal dishes. Basically Dim Sum King BOGO =one dish divided by 2 and put in small containers for $27. Like ordering a 2 mini sausage breakfast and instead getting a single mini-sizzler cut in 2. Disingenuous and no deal here.

Yelp
I lived in TO for 23 years and King's noodles was my favorite spot. After moving away for 18byears I came back and was excited to eat here. Upon entering I was impressed with the new renovation. It was clean and spacious unlike the good old days. Howver, the food was disappointing. Let's talk about the good food. The rice rolls and chicken rice were delicious. Fried donuts were very good too. Congee was good and had a good texute,, but they added leftover roast pork instead of the pork. It's pork and preserved egg congee, if u add leftover pork, it's definitely not the same. And I hate it when restaurant cut cost by using their leftovers. Wonton were also not that great. It had a thick skin and not enough filling. This place has lost its sparks, just like how every restaurant in Chinatown.

Roger Z.

Yelp
Good and authentic Chinese food, perfect for a quick bite when you're not sure where to go. Would definitely recommend it if you haven't been before.

Sharon Y.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night and it was busy but we got a table for three without too much of a wait. I ordered a bowl of wonton noodles in soup, and I was impressed by how cheap it was (only a little more than $5). The noodles themselves are made in house, and they had a delightful springy texture. The wontons were delicate and full of big shrimp pieces and the broth was light and savoury. One of my companions got the braised beef noodle soup with rice noodles and that was really good, I'll probably try that next time. I also got the gailan (Chinese broccoli) and a bowl of pork liver congee paired with youtiao (fried dough stick), which were decent and also reasonably priced. Overall this place is no-frills and the prices are very cheap. Service is no-nonense, but they get the job done. It's not really a place you'd go to for impressing a date, but it's a place I'd recommend for a yummy bowl of noodles for a very good price.

Lu-Shien T.

Yelp
Unpretentious Hong Kong BBQ cafe with large prawn filled wontons, thick slices of juice BBQ pork (charsiu), and succulent roasted duck. My egg noodles were springy and broth was clear and tasty. The beef fried rice noodles were on the greasy and bland side. Cash only as with many of the cafes in this area. ATM machine inside located at the top of the stairs leading to the washrooms.

Yelp
I waited more than ten years to write a review for this place and am damn glad I got to come back. What made it special was that my friend was in town and taking him was perfect because of the amount of food they give you. The wait can be trying but they get you in and out if you order just the right amount of food. For this run, we had beef chow mein and chicken fried rice. My friend ordered Chicken Congee but it had too much ginger for my taste but I'm sure for anyone else, it's a true hit. I had Tsingtao for the first time in my life and this particular Chinese beer was clutch. The elevation of my choices worked out well for the night and already miss having food from there. I can't wait to bring someone special here and enjoy the busy yet fantastic experience that Chinatown as a whole can produce as this place does.

Angela L.

Yelp
After visiting this restaurant once I can definitely say I will be going back! The food here is cheap, has a good portion and delicious! It was so good that I forgot to even take a photo of the main dish I got. I got the BBQ pork and duck with rice and it was really filling!! My friends and I also got some side dishes to share and needless to say they are all amazing. The prices for the rice bowl ranges from 6-9 which is a pretty decent price. Will definitely come back soon again!!

Karen L.

Yelp
This was seriously disappointing. In Toronto's Chinatown I expected better flavor. There wasn't anything we ordered that was very good. Actually, many items tasted subpar for Cantonese food. Basic things like fried rice and soup should not be hard to mess up. Somehow they did not taste right. It is also cash only.

Chris C.

Yelp
I've heard of King's Noodle and I may even have come here before, a long time ago. A friend who lives downtown suggested I meet him there for dinner and it sounded like a great idea. It was busy when we arrived, which is normal for this place, as I understand. We were lucky to get a table almost right away. It looks like the turnover rate is quick so nobody should have to wait long. They have literally hundreds of items on their menu! We could have spent a long time going through the menu but the BBQ meats hanging in the window at the front of the restaurant looked really good so we ordered a combo plate of BBQ duck and crispy roast pork, along with a beef chow mein. The food arrived quickly and steaming hot! The duck and pork looked really good. The chow mein had beef brisket, not the stir-fried beef that we imagined. We didn't specify but that's okay, we like brisket too. The food was delicious! Everything was cooked just right and full of flavour. Great texture on the crispy pork. Rich flavour on the duck. Tender brisket. Yummy! I wouldn't change anything. Great tasting food and fast service!

Sandi L.

Yelp
King's Noodle is one of my favourite restaurants in Chinatown for BBQ meats. They're actually one of the only ones to offer BBQ chicken wings too. The flavour and pricing are also very good. I do believe their prices are jacked up with delivery couriers like UberEats, so I'd just go pick up since I'm only 10-15 minutes away.

Daniel A.

Yelp
It's a good sign when the majority of the people eating at an Asian restaurant are Asian, which is the case at King Noodle. Perhaps their prime, Chinatown location is a major factor, but this place is busy every time I come. The food here is filling, cheap, and good, but the service here is pretty transactional and unforgiving. My go-tos are the roast pork (you'll see it hanging in the window on the way in), the fried rice, and any of their noodle soups.

Maddy B.

Yelp
OH MY GOD THIS WASS SOOO GOOOD!!!! 10/10 recommend. The service was good and fast and the food was one of the best I've ever had. Not disappointed.

Randy A.

Yelp
Please see pictures 1 vs 2. 1. I came in telling them its my first time purchasing this myself and that my parents usually buys roast pork for me. This is what they gave me. These are the ends that nobody wants. It was all fat and dry pieces.Check all of the other photos. There are none that looks like this. 2. I got so pissed, I went back for another one. Do you see the substantial difference? It's crazy. I was the only customer there, so it's not like they were busy and overlooked it. Btw i had to pay for the 2nd too because theres noway i would eat the first one. Moral of the story: Check your food before you leave the establishment because they try to slide u crap. Even better, just don't buy stuff there.

Ron R.

Yelp
Alright Andrew Zimmern, this place better be good! Prior to arriving in Toronto, I had bookmarked King's Noodle Restaurant because I caught it on Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations Toronto. We found it, came here for an early dinner, easily seated at a table for two and just beat out the dinner-rush crowd. + Dining + They had more than enough tables and chairs. Large round family tables in the center, seating for four dining on the sides. If there's anything I noticed, it was seeing someone wiping down tables or sweeping the floor. That's always a plus! ++ Dishes we ordered ++ #47 Barbecued Duck & BBQ Pork wonton noodle soup ($12.95). Oh man, this bowl had everything I ever wanted! The wontons were plump and hardy. The egg noodles were long and tasty. The duck and pork were cooked just right. All together in some savory broth and bok choy! Such a refreshing bowl I deeply inhaled! #7 Ginger Chicken (half @ $21.95), well this was the biggest mystery, as I know for a fact after investigating every delicious piece, they pretty much served us duck. This half chicken didn't have a huge breast, nor was the drumstick even fat. It was all lean, dark, and boney. But whether if it were duck or chicken, it was the ginger sauce/dip that made this dish! Every bite had to be dipped. The ginger was that good! #149 Rice Flour Roll with Donut ($3.95), how cheap! We tried this just because. I didn't mind the donut, but I wish it were shrimp. Oh well. It was still fun eating this. +++ Overall ++++ Now, I didn't exactly try their popular char siu dish they discussed on the show, but a sample of it in my soup was good enough. Same with the duck. The staff serving us was fine, no issue. Only the busy emotionless cashier lady gave me attitude while paying. Didn't know what I did. This would've been a four star review, but she killed it. Two turn offs, the 'cash only' factor. Which is really lame as they're on a major street. Second, again, it was that grumpy cashier lady. The food here was simply delectable. It made a lasting impression on how they do it in Chinatown Toronto! Even with the mediocre service, I would still totally go back!

M L.

Yelp
Meats and their bbq is on point. Fresh and tasty. Better than some NYC restaurants. The congee is bland and can do without it.

Sofi N.

Yelp
Freezing night, stopped in as i felt for hot chinese wonton noodle soup. Got the roast pork and wonton noodle soup, $13. Totally hit the spot and then some. The portion is huge- the wontons are really good quality, pork and big piece of shrimp inside, tastes fresh and homemade, the roast pork was amazing, the skin was savoury and crunchy even though it was immersed in the soup, the bok choy cooked just perfect and crunchy, the noodles delicious and al dente. Amazing quality, must be one of the best in town. Super worthy pricing.

Cuc N.

Yelp
The surprisingly amazing thing about Toronto is that you can find delicious eats from all over the world right in this beautiful city. Toronto is just packed with restaurants, breweries and bars that feature all types of food, from the super casual to the exclusive fine-dining. If you watch the Travel Channel, you will probably know of the TV show: Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. From this show, there is an episode called "Toronto: Horse Heart and Flipper Pie." Here, he takes us to his food travels in Toronto, with one restaurant called King's Noodle Restaurant in the heart of Toronto's Chinatown. What's so special about this place? Just one thing: ROAST PORK. Right when you walk in, you will find a Chinese chef to your right preparing unlimited bowls of their exclusive famous dish, the one most ordered for: roast pork and wonton noodle in soup. There is a constant stream of people walking in and out, either ordering take-out or doing a quick sit-and-dine to wolf down this dish! My friend and i literally slurped this take-out in our rental car right outside of the "return spot." Yes, we were that pressed for time, but that didn't stop us from trying this dish. Even as take-out, it's better than nothing right? And you know what? It was unbelievable...... The noodles were thin and cooked perfectly al dente to give it that firmness that every thin noodle needs for that perfect texture to chew on. The roast pork had that perfect 1cm surface of crispy and crunchy skin to contrast with the intensely soft and chewy layer of fat that was still attached right on. I did not feel unhealthy to eat this. This tasted way too good, like a little piece of heaven packed right in this take-out box. How amazing is that?! The bok choy was soft yet firm at the same time. The broth was amazingly savory and just added on packs of comforting juicy flavors to the roast pork. This is one of those noodle soup dishes where I try to eat and drink at the same time! You just got to. Chew on the roast pork and some noodles and slurp on some savory broth at the same time so that each chew on the pork releases dense flavors onto the broth for you to swallow. AHHHH.. This was heaven in a take-out box (an hour later). Pros: -very fast and speedy service, but hey! you get your food faster! -everything is made fresh on the spot, you can watch them if you want to! -DELICIOUS, DELICIOUS, DELICIOUS FOOD Cons: -can be a long wait during the weekends, but that's not their fault -parking may be difficult, try to find street parking and walk a bit or opt for a parking lot -small restaurant with limited tables so must come early!

Yelp
I know this place has been around for decades yet this is my first time here. They are located on the busy corner of Spadina and Dundas with a big yellow sign. My wife and I came here probably just before their lunch rush on a Tuesday around 11:40 am and we were told to pick any table. It really is cool because they have 2 kitchens here one is located in the rear of the establishment for the big dishes to be prepared, the second kitchen is the one up front against the windows where they prepare most of the Congee and small snacks. On the opposite side is where the magic happens the BBQ meats hanging under the heat lamps the chef is busy here chopping non stop for take away customers and dine in customers. I really loved their BBQ meats here A+ stuff. My wife and I ordered 4 dishes and they came out fast and the noodle was full of "Wok Hei". I ordered a large size Hot and Sour Soup, 3 kinds of BBQ meat rice dish, Spicy Fried Noodles with Pork and Shrimp, and Beef Offals. If you come here the BBQ meats is a must order the roast pork skin is so crunchy and flavourful, the BBQ pork ( char siu ) was good but I found it to be slightly dry but could be the piece I had. The ducks was good not fatty yet fat enough because it is duck. The Hot and Sour soup we ordered it extra hot and extra sour which was perfect, it came in a large bowl with plenty of ingredients inside very good soup. We also ordered the Spicy fried noodles with pork and shrimp this is made with the yellow noodles that are used to make chow mein, The spice level is good super spicy so if you want you can add some more chili oil to it, good amount of noodles as well very good "wok hei". The beef offals are marinated very well each piece was full of flavour and they also give you a fair amount of veggie and not lettuce they use Chinese gai lan. Service is not bad typical Chinese restaurant service it's good but it's not great. I think this is my new go to for a quick hearty meal. Fei Jai Out!

Shirley H.

Yelp
Quick and no frills service. Packed with people on weekday evening. I was expecting a lot more Chinese customers, but most of the sit down customers are non-Asian and to-go customers are Asian. Ordered the most basic cha siu pork wonton noodle soup. Nothing too special. The soup is flavoured, but nothing worth remembering. Good volume for the price, around 14 dollars after tax. Will keep on trying the different options around the area next time I'm around.

Linda L.

Yelp
This restaurant is constantly busy with customer lining up to get a table. They are known for their great noodle bowls and also their in house BBQ meats. Most of their soup noodle bowls are less than $10 each, which is really value for people looking for a fast, cheap meal, which explains the huge lineup everyday. I ordered the BBQ duck with flat rice noodle and got served within 10mins. The BBQ duck as ok, but I would have liked it more if it had more flavour or sauce on it. The noodle was soft and smooth and it didn't break easily. The soup was pretty good as well, didn't taste like it had a lot of MSG which was good. Would come again if I'm in the area looking for a cheap eat. The waiters were pretty impatient, typical of many restaurants in the Chinatown area. However, the cashier was straight up rude when you try to ask her something. Since this place is cash only and I was given exact change when I paid for the meal, I just kept all the change because their attitude was pretty awful.

Philip T.

Yelp
The good. **** Meats hung on their window is what's good here. Soy Sauce chicken. Roast duck sweet char siu pork ( red colored BBQ pork) stew beef and beef tendons spleen tripe and hearts. 4 stars bc noodles soup and won ton was ordinary. The bad * They tack on tax and tip on your bill if they feel you're a foreigner and disguise it as just. tax ! We almost tipped them additional. The ugly. Minus 5 stars We ordered in Chinese !!!!

Kerry W.

Yelp
A friend raved that this is her favourite restaurant in Chinatown, so i was looking forward to trying this place out. It's a mid sized restaurant and there were a decent amount of diners there, but we were able to get seated immediately even though we were in total 6 people. The restaurant was cleaned. It's not a fancy place but one where you expect no frills and delicious authentic Chinese food. I ordered wonton bbq duck soup noodles for just under $11. The order came quickly. It was decent sized soup noodles. What was surprising was that the wontons were nice and big!!!! The flavour of the soup was a bit bland. I had to add extra pepper and a bit of chilli to give it a kick. We paid individually and tips were already added into the total. Not that the service was bad, but i really wish they left the tips to us to decide.

Tommy F.

Yelp
Used to go here as a kid when visiting China town. Came back 15 years later. I understand inflation had driven the cost up. A takeout BBQ pork rice was $13.56, I am okay with the price. Typically you order from any Chinese BBQ restaurant you will get a bowl of soup and some vegetables along with it. Well to my surprise, it was literally as ordered Rice + BBQ pork (no sauce) and nothing else. About 10 slices of BBQ pork (which was average) can get at any BBQ place. Don't think will come back again.

Yelp
This food is heavenly. We were cold and hungry in Christmas just starting out our Toronto vacation. The food was quick and delicious. The menu is gigantic. We over ordered, which they let us do, but it was so good we can't complain. The wonton and noodle soup was the most perfect soup ever. Spring rolls were also divine. We were fans before the entrees came which were also excellent. The service was efficient and brisk. The place was clean. High marks

Yelp
Heard a lot of good things about this place, but I'm starting to doubt if my sources are reliable . King's Noodles seems pretty far from even being rated as decent. The food alright, but nothing to rave about. However, service and hygiene are certainly their most shocking traits. The only way to get service is by putting your hands up, or standing up to attract attention. NOTE: *Cash Only* The restaurant looks pretty clean from outside, but don't get fooled. As we sat next to the kitchen, I saw one of the cockroach from Men In Black. I got worried cuz Will Smith wasn't there. Plus, the waitress caught it like a pro; it wasn't her 1st rodeo for sure. Toronto has way better restaurants. Maybe check out Swatow across the street!

Yelp
So disappointing. What you have done with the prices is insane. $18.00 for 1/4 Soya Chicken, even on BOGO it is still crazy priced. This would be $72:00 for a whole chicken. The food is no where as good as it once was. I bought a whole chicken on special for 6.95

Yelp
I liked the food variety and food presentation. Service experience could be a lot better. I understand the language barrier and that many of the servers don't have English as their 1st language, but the servers's proficiency of working English in matters of Table Waiting and Order Taking could have met a certain acceptable standard. Other than the communication gap, nothing else makes this place stand out with all the other Chinese restaurants along Spadina.

Yelp
I came to this place every time my family paid a visit to Toronto. And even now as an adult I always have King's Noodle on my itinerary even if I am only in Toronto for a few hours. Great hours they open as early as 9 am and stay open until 1 am. Nice and Clean there has definitely been a remodel since the last time I have been here. It's usually a little noisy but that's to be expected considering the popularity of the restaurant. There's always a pretty mixed crowd every time I come here. During peak hours you may find yourself sharing a table but I feel like that is apart of the restaurant's charm. Plus this allowed us to be seated immediately, I was hungry and I really needed the BBQ Duck in my life so I don't complain. The staff is actually pretty friendly but they focus on SEATING and SPEED more than anything. You won't find a server hovering over you asking you if everything is ok every 5 seconds (I hate that anyway, let me eat my food dammit) so if you need something just get someone's attention they will be right over. They have a great extensive menu so there is sure to be something on the menu to please everyone. I see they use peanut sauce for quite a few dishes so look out for that in the description if you're allergic * I got the BBQ Duck Dry Noodle Plate $9.95 (comes with soup and veggies). The noodles were seasoned well. The broth is very savory you'll find yourself slurping every last drop even if you aren't a soup person. As for the bbq duck, the skin was nice & crispy the actual meat was tender, flavorful and juicy...prepared to perfection. Our bill was pretty cheap roughly was $33 (my boyfriend ordered the BBQ Duck & Wonton dry noodle plate and we also split some spring rolls). Once your done grab your bill and pay at the front counter but make sure you have cash they don't accept cards! Although they do have an ATM inside that has a $3.00 service fee. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the area. It is indeed my go-to for BBQ Duck, BBQ Pork, noodles, and fried dough sticks.

Yelp
Found my new favourite place to come for rice rolls, congee and BBQ pork now! This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem located on the busy street of Chinatown! It's a great place to come with any time with any amount of people, because they have lots of seating available and super large menu variety. My friend took my to this place try out their super popular marinated roasted bbq pork rice bowl and rice roll~ they were just simply soooo delicious! The sweet sauce from the tender bbq pork mix super well the gene pies rice, you would want to keep eating more and more because it's so good. We ordered the "dish" size to share between 2 people, but also comes in a single serving "bowl" size as well. Also loved the super soft thin rice flour skin of roll that wrapped around a crisp deep fried donut, it's one of my new fave actually! You won't regret ordering it, cuz you can also see every table at least order one of these rice rolls. They also have choices of BBQ pork, or shrimp or other flavour or rice rolls that are super neat too! These rice rolls are already garnished with some green onions and small shrimps, and a sweet sauce, but I like dipping it with soy sauce as well! We were surprised that 1 portion of the rice roll comes in 3 super stomach filling rolls! The service is very quick, reasonable price, large generous portions, great menu choices, definitely gonna come back again and again I think :) BBQ Pork Rice - $7.95 (dish size) Rice Flour Roll with Donut - $3.95

Yelp
Heard this was one of the best restaurants in chinatown so had to give it a try. We came around 11am on a sunday and it was pretty empty at first but was getting busy by the time we left. We ordered bbq pork and bbq duck over rice. I was disappointed how little the portion was. We also got the seafood combination soup size small and it was pretty good as well but the temperature was luke warm. The spicy pan fried noodles was delicious too but kind of on the oily side. The bathroom here was horrendous. And cash only of course but there's an atm inside.

Yelp
Not the best Chinese food takeout place in my opinion, you have to ask for water/tea and the dishes are so small for something that's over $15...

Yelp
I had been to this Chinese restaurant in autumn 2013 and fondly remembered their wonton noodle soups that were tasty and very affordable. We walked in recently on a Friday evening and got a table immediately. There were so many other people here too. It really is a popular spot for traditional Chinese food. We ordered the $4.95 Wonton Noodle Soup, $4.95 Congee, and dough fritter rice rolls too. The Wonton Noodle in Soup was such an amazing deal. Unfortunately on this visit, I was disappointed with the taste. The wontons were made with shrimp and pork and not the pure shrimp I had expected. Wontons usually taste better with just shrimps as the stuffing. The wonton noodle was also not bouncy enough for my taste.. it was a bit mushy. I thought it tasted better before or maybe it's because I've had really good wonton noodles in Hong Kong since then that these don't cut it anymore. The Hong Kong Style Congee (boat congee) was really good and comforting! The pork stomach was so tender and delicious. :9. (The portion was a bit small but I guess you can't expect too much if it's under $5 for the bowl.) The Rice Flour Roll with Donut (dough fritter rice roll) was so large and plump! The rice roll skin was very thin too. The dough fritter was a bit mushy when I bit into it but it was still tasty. We had to ask for a side of sweet sauce and peanut sauce since these usually are served with them. My guess is that unless you ask, the servers don't automatically give it to you to cut costs or save on unused sauces. Hmm. You pay at the front desk with the bill when you leave.

Yelp
Overall, food was okay and service was not very good. Cream corn soup was good except it had peas and carrots which altered the flavor and was not a fan. Shrimp in flat rice noodle and barbecue pork in flat rice noodle were not that good. The har gao was okay. The snow pea leaves in garlic we're pretty good. The food came out fairly quickly, although there were only about 2 other tables at the time. Service was not very good. Inattentive, ignored when we asked for water the first time.

Yelp
I agree with the recent reviews with regards to the low ratings. Food is not what it used to be. Congee is thick, like they added flour. Mister's beef tendon ho fan soup was bland, and the fried fritter wrapped in dough was soggy and damp. We had to go up to the front to ask for the bill since no one paid attention to us - long after our meal was done. I asked the manager if the chef was the same. He seemed a little embarrassed, so I guess the answer is quite obvious.

Yelp
It took us 2 times asking to get a cup of water, and it was not given to us until probably 10 mins after the meal. No tea was provided. Wasn't too busy but beers also arrived halfway through the meal.. I ordered the salted egg and pork congee and got the preserved egg and chicken congee instead. The food was good, but the waiter charged us for the whole duck instead of half. The check-out process was also rushed, which prevent us to cross-check the menu. We asked for the bill to be split in 3 because we ordered our own dish, but we knew our items. However, we got a very long sigh from the cashier. The bill was written in Chinese as well so we could not even read it afterwards if we wanted to. They said the tips were included in the price already. Oh, we paid extra tips alright. This is our second time here. This place is a part of Toronto's culture, but I don't know if I will be returning because the experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
When you are craving some BBQ and roast meats and it's a stat holiday, where do you go? King's Noodle! We had our BBQ and roast meat craving completely satisfied here. My YEA and I took some time to think about what to order. We decided on a BBQ pork/soy chicken and roast duck/soy chicken combos. Each came with a side of rice and we decided to pay th $2 for the side of Chinese greens too. The pork was juicy, fatty, and springy. The rice really helps to soak up the juiciness of the pork and the sauce that drips through it. The roast duck was solid and you can't go wrong with the crispy outside skin while the meat had that gamey duck flavour. The soy chicken was really tender and not overwhelming with the soy flavour. It seemed like it was marinated for the right amount of time. My YEA and I also ordered some cold HK milk tea to wash down this meal. They came back to our table to replace one of the HK milk teas because it did not look right. We were rightly impressed by that quality control. As a tip, if you have already eaten your veggies for the day, you can skip the $2 add-on for a handful of Chinese greens. You can get a friggin' huge bag of them at the local Chinese supermarket next door. The menu here has a little bit of everything from rice dishes, noodle dishes, family style dishes that you can find in Canton cuisine. It's even just enough if you want to take some BBQ pork, roast pork, roast duck, or other delectables from their display window home to make some very delicious meals for a few days. Until next stat holiday craving if not sooner King's Noodle!

Yelp
King Noodle is a classic spot in Chinatown if you want delicious Chinese dishes at a fast and affordable price. Price: The prices range from the $12 price range for dishes. Dishes that have meat can range from $15-18. The noodle soups are an awesome deal that start at $5.25. Overall, a great price point for the amount of food you get. Service: Service was great. Food came quickly and was piping hot. Food: The food was excellent. I've been to King Noodle a few times and the food is nothing but top-notch. They have a large menu to satisfy any type of Chinese dish that you're craving. I also like that they have a take-menu where you can order roast pork to go. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is dressed up to have a nice welcoming personality. You can come with your family or with your friends after a day of studying.
