We love this place. Have tried 3 different dishes so far and they’ve all been perfection. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, you seat yourself and they bring tortilla chips and sauces for the table. Their menu is simple but offers a good selection. Their special tacos are served with 6 tortillas but they offer to bring more, it’s a decent serving for 2 people for $26 when you don’t want to spend much to have amazing food. Each dish comes exactly as it says on the menu and they bring you toppings to put on yourself.

Google
Authentic and homely Mexican joint. They bring out an individual table’s serving of chips and various sauces right away. Most places have bottles at the table but they go the extra step of giving you individual servings even if it’s a waste of ingredients. Tacos come out hot and super delicious. You customize them based on the various toppings and sauces they provide to the table, so you’re in full control of heat level. Their chili sauce is HOT.

Bring back the Barbacoa por favorrrrr, it was my favourite. The guac and chips are yummy and the tacos are great. A bit on the pricier side last I went but really good. It’s a large space when dining in so definitely great for large groups, not the best aesthetic though so I prefer takeout. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming.

Google
No complaints about this place. Chips with multiple sauces are free (if you want more it’s a charge) They use corn tortillas which was bonus points in my books. Having 3 plates split between 5 people is really filling. The taste is spot on. The tortillas never went cold and stayed hot / warm throughout our dinner.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday. The place was busy, but the service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our food very much as everything was delicious. The portions are generous, so sharing is a good option. We had the enchilada (with green sauce) and the taco with steak filet. We also shared a delicious rice milk drink. It was very enjoyable. We will be back!

King's Tacos is a hidden gem in Toronto. This small, family-owned restaurant serves up some of the best tacos in the city. The tacos are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are authentic and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend King's Tacos to anyone looking for a great taco experience in Toronto. Here are some of the things that I liked about King's Tacos: * The tacos are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. * The flavors are authentic and delicious. * The service is friendly and attentive. * The prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend King's Tacos to anyone looking for a great taco experience in Toronto.

If you haven't been here, please go and try this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. After you were seated, they will give you a complimentary homemade tortilla chips, 3 types of salsa, fresh cilantro and limes. The salsas can be used both as a chip dip and taco toppings. But even with all these free salsas, you have to order their guacamole as it's one of the best we've tried. Fresh and authentic, King's Tacos' guac is the real deal - creamy, chunky and with just the right amount of traditional Mexican flavours and spices. Now comes the fun part, deciding on what to get for your tacos. With over 16 choices, we always opt for their Special Tacos. Our faves include Ya vas, Kings Special and Sirloin Deluxe. With flavourful meat, veggies, cheese and authentic homemade corn tortillas, these hand held meals are truly one addictive culinary marvel. I can eat here everyday! The burritos and quesadillas are out of this world. The Quesadilla de Pollo is loaded with cheese and seasoned chicken breast. The Beef Burrito is warm and comforting and they don't skimp on the meat filling. It was flavourful and delicious! And to wash all the goodness down, make sure to get a nice cool bottle of Jarritos soda. I love the Pineapple Jarritos, not too sweet and has a slightly tangy pineapple flavour. The service we received especially from Javier, the owner and his staff were simply amazing. They made you feel welcomed and they're always efficient and polite. Can't wait to return and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.

Google
It's a large restaurant and has plenty of room and seats in there. It's rarely ever full and I've always had the chance to get a seat. The servers are always friendly and the menu has large photos to show you what you are ordering. The portions are very large and well priced for their size(around 13-16$ per dish). We had the king's nachos and the a la Mexicana tacos. The nachos were plentiful but tasted amazing and the tacos were excellent. They also start you off with some corn tortilla chips and a couple of hot sauces. The hot sauces are amazing with the perfect amount of spice and taste. Overall it's a wonderful place to go to and the food is amazing. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who wants some good Mexican cuisine for a great price.

Yelp
We stopped by King's Tacos for dinner and had a really good experience. They bring you chips with three salsas and onion cilantro mix with every order. The chips and salsa were really good. The chips are gluten free and the spicy salsa is gluten and lactose free. We really enjoyed the appetizer. For dinner we ordered The Kings Special Taco. It comes with 6 gluten free corn tortillas and the taco mixture is served on a platter. You take the mixture and add it to your corn tortilla. You can then add the cilantro/onion mixture, lime juice, and any of the 3 sauces. The Kings Special is a blend of beef, pork, chorizo, onion and bacon. We ordered it without cheese and really enjoyed it. My husband found it a little salty but I thought it was ok. The service was good and the ambiance is casual. It a nice taco place in the St. Clair area. Would we Return? Absolutely!

Yelp
King tacos is a good restaurant however the last 3 times I've tried coming here they have been closed. The hours online do not match the hours If the restaurant. Please fix that

Yelp
Unfortunately after dining at King's Tacos, we were left disappointed as we relied on the high ratings. Carne asada was dry and bland. Al pastor was slightly more seasoned but also dry. The bowl of guacamole was full size for $18.90. I found that my horchata separated more easily with the last drops very powdery. Part of me wished I ordered the gringa instead.

Yelp
very nice staff excellent quality food pre covid it was $17 for 4 chicken tacos now $27 w tax.... covid really fkd up a lot of the cost of going out...

Yelp
We came to King's Taco on a Friday night, and the restaurant became full later in the evening. We ordered carnitas (4 tacos) and the King's Special (5 tacos) for the two of us. We liked how fast the service was and how the food tasted. The carnitas tasted slightly sweet and smokey, and the King's Taco was a meat lover's delight. Accessibility: there is a small ramp to get into the restaurant, and there is no automatic door opener; the washroom is downstairs. The walkway is wide for the robot to maneuver, and the floors are slipper for crutches. Staff did offer to allow usage of the employee washroom on the same floor if needed - which was greatly appreciated!

Yelp
When lunch was suggested at King's Tacos, I didn't hesitate for even a second despite the fact that I'd never heard of the joint. You put the word "taco" in the name of your restaurant and I'm there. We showed up just after noon on a recent Sunday and the place was surprisingly busy. We decided to share a couple of things, the King Special ("Beef, marinated pork, chorizo, onion, bacon and cheese") and the Enchiladas ("Corn tortilla with mozzarella cheese and chicken, topped with green sauce and more melted cheese on the top"). A few minutes later, our friendly server brought out a complimentary bowl of nachos and three separate sauces. The freshly-made nachos were spot on and the three sauces were all completely delicious. I was very impressed so far. A little while later, a robot (!) brought out our mains. The amount of food was intimidating, but we quickly dug in. First, the tacos. We began assembling our tacos with the six provided tacos and holy moly were they delectable. The meaty concoction was perfectly cooked and prepared, and mixed together with some of the sauces and included onion/cilantro mix, it became one of the better tacos I've eaten in quite some time. So good. The enchiladas fared just as well. The plentiful chicken and addictive green sauce (and colossal melted cheese) ensured that we both basically inhaled the rather large portion. I could eat these things regularly for the rest of my life, no question. There are so many more items on the King's Tacos menu that I absolutely must try, so I can't imagine it'll be too long before we return.

Yelp
I am from Mexico and finally i have found a place with authentic and delicious mexican food!! We went around 25 seniors to celebrate Mother's day and the food and service were excellent, we have so much fun eating, singing and dancing. Thank you Javier for your hospitality, we felt as if we were at home!!

Yelp
I was in the area and wanted to get a snack. I have wanted to try this place for awhile, so I thought I'd stop in. I ordered online for pick-up and got the sirloin deluxe tacos. All I can say is wow! I brought the tacos home, which I originally thought were pre-made. I learned that they actually give you a big box of the meat, and then fresh tortillas so you can make your own tacos. I loved this idea! There was SO much meat, and the flavour was just outstanding. I loved the mushrooms mixed in - even my partner, who doesn't like mushrooms enjoyed it. I cannot wait to order from here again. I want to try everything on the menu!

Yelp
Tacos! Love tacos and loved the flavour of the fillings for the tacos here. The only thing I wish they did is being able to mix the tacos choices so you could try more of them without going overboard with the meal sizes. Also feel like because of this the prices are a little more than some other taco spots. However overall the tacos are great! Had an enjoyable experience. Side note: the churros are massive.

Yelp
I was on the street car when I noticed King's Tacos. I was curious so I went in for a bite. I was expecting a fast food restaurant like Taco Bells, but it was a sit down restaurant. King's Tacos decor was plainly decorated in a casual restaurant style. The service was okay, but you have to pay at the front. The service started with the waitress bringing little bowls of sauce and onions. I am not familiar with Mexican food or tacos. I ordered the Arrachera taco which is made of beef fillets. I added the ingredients and sauces to the tacos to add flavours. I thought that the tacos were okay. Would I go back? Maybe to try the other tacos. But I am not familiar with Mexican cuisine so it is hard to evaluate the food.

Yelp
This year has really started off well for me (at least in terms of food haha) King Tacos is a family-run Mexican restaurant on St. Clair West. We ordered Gaucamole, Chicken Tacos and Beef Bistec Tacos. You do get free fresh chips and sauces with all orders, which I think is super! The whole concept is amazing. You get FRESH tacos in a taco box, you assemble it yourself, which I think is nice. You also get 3 different sauces to add to your tacos and you can add cheese too! It's very authentic and similar to how it is in Mexico! It's quite a large restaurant with lots of seating. The only thing I would say it as it's family run, it's a little slow. They're definitely hospitable and friendly but the service is a little slow, even for a weekend lunch. I won't ding them for this because the flavours of everything we ordered was scrumptious. Large portions don't hurt either ;)

Yelp
So freaking good. It was my first time trying this place out and I'll definitely be back. I got their Yas Vas taco and they served the tortillas on the side. This was served with tortillas chips and three different spice level sauces. The service was great and they were friendly.

Yelp
My favourite items to order here are the tacos de arrachera, kings special, and their pitcher of flavored water. The homemade tortillas are also really good!

Yelp
Didn't expect much going into the restaurant but was quite surprised by how roomy it is inside. They can easily host parties with reservations. We ordered a burrito and one of the make-your-own tacos. Everything was nicely seasoned and they had free chips to start. They also offered 3 types of dips ranging from mild to spicy. Great service with big portions of food. Would come back again

Yelp
After hearing rave reviews about this place from my brother, who loves food more than I do, we finally had a chance to feast on the delicious tacos from here. For 6 people we ordered a large guacamole, refried beans and 3 orders of the special build your own tacos (king's special, chorizo and beef with onion). When you arrive, they bring you unlimited nachos and their three sauces, mild, medium and spicy. The mild was my favourite! I can't really describe it but it has a nice smokey flavour and orange in colour. The medium is a green hot sauce which was equally delicious with a nice kick. The spicy was my least favourite. It was kind of spicy, but flavourless. The guacamole was delicious. It was perfectly mashed and not too chunky or too creamy. The refried beans were yummy, but really heavy so I didn't have too much of it. My favourite of the three meats we tried was the kings special. I loved the mix of all the flavours of beef, chorizo and bacon mixed with onions. Yummmm! The beef with onion and the chorizo were good, but for some reason, saltier than the kings special. Also, all these plates are extremely greasy, so keep that in mind because you won't be able to stop yourself from stuffing your face until you can't breath. It's just that delicious. The only downfall was that I felt really crappy for the next few days. The food here is really heavy and oily and it will be coming out of your pores. The service here is great! They're quick and friendly. This has been one of my favourite taco experiences in Toronto thus far!

Yelp
This family friendly mexican resturant is great. We opted for the share option, you get a plate of the meat option you choose and some corn tortillas and make your own tacos. Everything tasted great. Service was awesome Only negative was the dessert. We ordered it to go actually and it was hard as though it's been microwaved to long. Also tasted off definitely not what I'm used to and I've had authentic churros plenty of time. I'll definitely be back just no churros lol

Yelp
I am very surprised that i have not heard abut this place sooner, I am always on the hunt for a good taco in the city. After scrolling through many reviews I decided to head on over to this place, when I arrived their was a gentleman standing at the back behind tables they had set up for take away. He was friendly and took my order right away and told me it should be about 10 minutes. As I waited I was observing the interior of the restaurant and it was clean and nicely decorated and I thought to myself, I could definitely do dine in once the restrictions are lifted. The order arrived and i quickly went home, the aroma that was coming out of this bag overwhelmed my car in the best possible way. Finally I get home and unpack the bag and I do need to point this out that it was packaged so thoughtfully, on the very top were all the salsas/sauces which looked so amazing and their was a container filled with a onion/cilantro mixture to top the tacos. I ordered the Tacos de Pastor(marinated pork) with a half order of guac & chips, the tacos were tasty well seasoned and the tortilla stood up to the filling, the portion size was perfect you could split this with another person or you certainly enjoy left overs. The guac & chips were also good but if I did have a critic the guac needed some acid like lime, the chips were homemade which I really appreciate but they had a slight after taste from the oil they were fried in and they could have benefited from a little seasoning just a dash of salt when they come out the fryer. Other than that I really enjoyed my experience and will certainly be going back to try other things.

Yelp
Fantastic burrito today. Unlike the typical burrito from the chain places, this wasn't packed with rice and beans and everything else along with the kitchen sink. Just fantastic pork Carnitas and enough vegetables to give it some freshness and flavor. Really really good.

Yelp
Portion sizes are huge. We've shared one taco dish between two people. Service is always friendly. Free fresh chips and dipping sauces. Very authentic and delicious!

Yelp
The food is delicious, the ambiance is awesome and the staff are great, attentive and kind.

Yelp
Favourite Mexican restaurant in Toronto. Food is really good 10/10 authentic, people are extremely nice and service is incredible. I highly recommend coming to this place for some Mexican food!
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
Cheap, simple, tasty and huge portions. They greet you with a (free!) basket of homemade deep-fried tortilla chips and 3 house made sauces: smoky, hot and very hot - all excellent. Their guacamole is on point and service is quick. We typically order 2-3 different meat platters that come with warm tortillas, diced onions/cilantro and limes to share and essentially make your own tacos. Order lettuce and diced tomato on the side, if you wish. Definitely order a side of grilled jalepenos!
google avatar

Yelp
I don't have the pictures to follow but the restaurant was really good and the waiter and the owner was very very nice I would definitely recommend this

Yelp
Kings Tacos is a family run restaurant, not a chain as I had originally assumed. The meals are really tasty and come in generous quantities. It's also a great for families with little kids.
google avatar

Brittney J.

Yelp
I love love love this place! Always get their tacos ya vas, and try other stuff too. Always delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. I can never finish a whole plate for my self, but I do not mind I love tacos for leftovers! Their guac is average, and the chips in my opinion need more salt.. but I do like an excess amount of salt on everything.
google avatar

Gopalakrishnan S.

Yelp
The food quality and quantity is good. They are making the fresh food for the right price. One thing they need to improve is the cleanliness of the plates and cutlery. Nice spot for Mexican food.
google avatar

Sylvia B.

Yelp
Nice place. Well prepared food. Fresh. Very tasty. Good portions. Good customer service.

Yelp
Better food writers and chefs than I have often said that the hallmark of a great restaurant is consistency. Anthony Bourdain himself argues that restaurant food is less art than craft; meticulously reproduced plate to plate, visit to visit, month to month. I imagine it's a tough feat to accomplish. Restaurants pay poorly. Tastes change. Staff come and go. Longevity and quality are tall orders. So I wonder whether I caught the wrong end of the King's Tacos curve. But first, some context: a few weeks ago, I took my wife out for dinner at KT to celebrate her new job. We both love Mexican food, authentic or not. I'd read great things about this place, and as I review this they still sit above 4 stars on yelp. I understand that they moved a little while ago, taking over a former Burger King on St. Clair West, just past Dufferin Street. It's not the prettiest commercial strip, but that's never discouraged us. The restaurant itself was half-full around 7:30 on a Saturday night, but hard tile floors and bare walls made noise reverberate like we were in da club. We were seated immediately, and offered a small bowl of fresh chips and a trio of hot salsas ranging from polite sting to full bowel evacuation. I mostly opted for the middle-a creamy green with just enough heat to keep me interested; an errant dip into the bowel evacuator while I was pitching woo to my sweetheart was an unforced error. I still ate the chip, to my eternal regret. Service was polite but distant and unhurried; we had to call random servers over for cutlery, and napkins, and water, and order-taking, and payment...they did bring the food without our specific request, though. Sadness: we attempted to order quacamole to share, but were advised that there was insufficient avocado to mash us up some. There was enough avocado to place inside or mains, so I guess they were rationing the few precious fruits granted them by the corrupt Gobernador. If only I had thought to call Zorro for relief. Mains could be summarized as follows: If the left one don't get you, the right one will. My wife ordered a chicken quesadilla. She got a cartilage quesadilla. It went back after a few unexpectedly crunchy bites, replaced by a vegetarian version which was tasty, but something one can make easily enough at home. I ordered enchiladas smothered in more of that green salsa. Mercifully they were free of cartilage. Less mercifully they revisited me throughout the night, seeking egress by any means necessary (I puked. A lot). I would never claim authoritatively that I got sick at a given restaurant, but I have small children and thus do not eat during the day, so the list of potential culprits is pretty much dinner or a nature valley lunch box granola bar. I award King's Tacos two stars because poor service, problematic food and possible sickness aside it was still a night out with the girl I love.
google avatar

Natalia S.

Yelp
A disappointment for vegetarians. I'd read about King's tacos on Yelp and on some Facebook discussions and expected to be pleasantly surprised by their home-style serving style and innovative veggie options. Sadly that did not happen. We ordered the veggie tacos and were excited to try the welcome chips and salsas. Turns out at least one of the salsas has chicken stock - why!? - and the rest were just watery meh. The veggie tacos were fine at best. Pretty oily and just boring. And, finding a meat piece in the veggie mix was the final straw. Definitely won't be back and still in search of a decent veggie taco in Toronto. Tips welcome!

Yelp
Came here for the first time and will definitely come back!! We tried this place on a whim because our regular taco place was closed. Had found this on yelp and it had pretty good reviews so we decided to give it a try. As you can see by the pictures is looked great, but not only does it look great it tastes great. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant like this, basically you make your own tacos. And by the portion size they give you, you can make about 5 tacos. The staff was friendly and nice as well. I would very much definitely come again. I just wish I didn't have to pay for street parking.

Yelp
I love this place! The quality of the food is as good as it gets and the friendliness and informal yet very comfortable atmosphere make this one of my favorite places to go for a good meal.

Yelp
I tried Many Mexican Restaurants in Toronto and I was very disappointed by not finding a good Mexican Restaurant. I was deciding I would never try Tacos if Kings' Tacos would not be good. Then I tried King's Tacos and I was glad I tried. Finally I found King's Tacos. King's Tacos gave us tortillas separately and I made own Tacos. I really liked it because people in Mexican TV shows were always taking Tortillas and putting ingredients to make own Tacos. I felt like I were in Mexico. I ordered King's special and menu said King's special was famous. It was good. Including tax, it costed $20 and it had good size of meals. I would definitely come back King's Tacos because I lived on St.Clair.

Yelp
Best Mexican food in toronto, authentic Mexican dishes with authentic taste.. it's the only restaurant we go to
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Delicious food and some of the friendliest restraunt owners I've ever met. Authentic Mexican (as far as I know) but thats what they say and it's so good I just believe em. Not very expensive but very high quality. Fully recommend for anyone who wants tacos or burritos.
google avatar

Rob W.

Yelp
I really like this place. It is bright and clean. The food is good and the service is great. There are two shortfalls; no fish tacos, no liquor license. I always get refritos, guacamole, and tacos al pastor. Al pastor is always missing the Pineapple but is good nonetheless. This place needs to serve beer, una cerveza por favor!
google avatar

Veronica D.

Yelp
This is by far the worst Mexican restaurant I've been to. You know what it tastes like; a Mexican place not ran by the mexican culture. I ordered a quesadilla that completely fell apart, the taste wasn't awful but could have been better. Had to ask for sour cream and salsa for dipping; which I would have expected it to come with. My partners beef tacos was very dry. We expected even some lettuce and tomatoes to add to it not just these dipping sauces meant for the chips. When asked about the salsa and tomatoes they said they had none but would check for salsa. She brought some out afterwards. What Mexican restaurant have you ever been told, there would possibly be no salsa?! A lot more condiments should be brought with these foods. The best part of my meal were the fries (which were ordered separately) that's it. The appetiser of chips were bland and sauces nothing special. If you want bland tacos this is the place for you. Will not be coming back.

Yelp
Our new go-to Mexican place! Recommended by a friend who's married to a Mexican and loves great food. Every meal starts with a basket of addictively crispy tortillas & 3 delicious sauces (the chipotle & hot pepper are amazing). We started with the queso & chorizo which is served with perfectly thin & soft, warm tortillas and had an astounding anount of meat compared to far more expensive/trendy restos downtown. I had the veg enchilada in green sauce which is supposed to be spicier than the red sauce but I couldn't taste any heat at all (disclaimer: I'm a hot pepper junky). The veg filling was a bit too oily but decent flavours. My sis had the enchiladas sub w/ carnitas (pork) instead of beef which was delicious! 1 order = 4 enchiladas literally smothered in cheese + rice + salad. The rice is delicious but the salad was more of a garnish (not very appealing). 1 meal would have been enough for us to share, but that's ok we had our leftovers for dinner the next day
google avatar

Jon S.

Yelp
My favourite Mexican food in the city. The jalapeño dip that they serve at the beginning of the meal? A+! I could drink it. It doesn't try to be trendy or fancy. Just really delicious food.
google avatar

Natalia G.

Yelp
Really good and authentic mexican food. I'm saying this because I am Mexican. It has been hard to find a real mexican restaurant but this one is really good. Hope you can come in and enjoy its hospitality and culture.
google avatar

Kathleen E.

Yelp
I'm sorry but this is no 4-star restaurant. The absolute greasiest el pastor tacos I've ever tasted. If you're into big greasy portions this place may suit your taste, but my Mexican Uber driver the other day agreed that this place does not represent good, simple and fresh Mexican food.
google avatar

Tracy A.

Yelp
If you want good Mexican food in a nice clean place at a fair price then come here. The food is abundant. The staff are super sweet. And the experience is totally Mexico meets Canada. We ordered the dinner for two. It starts with fresh tortillas with three salsa dips. Then the bean soup came out. It was so good. Then the meal begins. We had a large platter filled with a choice of two different meats. Two sides. And roasted onions. The corn tortillas were hot and supple. We ate our faces off. A must for those soft taco cravings.

Dave H.

Yelp
I Came here for this first time last night. I Was really amazed by the big portion sizes here, for the price that you pay. I ordered the tacos and chicken enchiladas and it was really tasty. I will most definitely return here in the near future. I really wished I took pictures to post, but my phone was in my car.

Yelp
A couple of months ago, my brother and I decided we wanted to find the best Mexican food in Toronto. We wanted real Mexican food, with real portion sizes. We didn't take this task lightly. We didn't just find BlogTO, see their number 1 and go. We checked out a ton of different online sources (BlogTO, Yelp, Reddit, Etc...) and poured through not only the articles - but the comment sections as well. We tried a couple of places (or had already tried them before our official search), ranging from corporate chains, local chains, small independents and upscale joints. Finally we went to King's Tacos. Loved it. Awesome service. Probably my favorite tasting Mexican food I have had in Toronto, and the portion sizes were unreal. I left food on the table - look at my profile pic - that doesn't happen. At one point my brother knocked his pop off the table (the food took up so much space) and within seconds two servers had it cleaned up and a new pop for him. The three sauces that came with our meal were totally on point. We got some huge plate of different meats that you use to make your own tacos. They kept the warm delicious tortillas coming! I for one can not wait for this place to reopen!

Yelp
The best. Staff are usually friendly and I don't have to wait too long for my food, definitely my go-to taco place

Yelp
Cardboard. We went tonight and I found a grease-soaked piece of cardboard in my food. They were nice enough about it and comped my meal, but it was sort of the last straw for this place. We went to King's Tacos a few times, but I just can't seem to like this place. The style of this restaurant is very strange and not like any Mexican food I've seen anywhere else; you order "tacos" but it's a DIY thing, they just bring you a plate of meat/veggies/whatever you ordered and soft flour tortillas to make your own. They bring you chips and 3 kinds of uhh..... salsa is the wrong word, so "dipping sauces" I guess? They're.... creamy. Despite ordering tacos from the vegetarian page of the menu, 2 of these sauces are made with chicken stock so I couldn't eat them. And.... that's it. There's no other condiments, no pico de gallo, no anything. No Tapatio or Cholula to be found on the table either. Just you and an absolutely grease-soaked plate of taco filling to do your best with. The first time we went, I was craving Mexican food so badly that I didn't care that it was bland and greasy. There just weren't a lot of other options. After tonight, I don't think I can do it again. Oh, one other thing. There's a mariachi band playing here most times we've been, so this is not the kind of place to have dining conversation. The band is great though, so if you ignore my advice and eat here anyway, please at least tip these hardworking gentlemen.

Yelp
They've re-opened this week! We drove by and saw the tables filled for dinner one evening this week. Happy dance time, and a rushed drive to St. Clair for lunch the next day! The new space is actually highly similar to the previous space in terms of the dining room layout. I guess the old layout worked for them? It definitely works for us! Upon ordering (and yes, we ordered like pigs because we soooo missed this place), we were given a basket of chips, three different salsa/dips and limes and onion/cilantro mix for the tacos. We especially like the chipotle sauce and can drink it like soup. It's excellent! Then we waited. We ordered a half guac; a queso chorizo, and we opted for the make your own tacos options of Zarape and Hawaiianos. It was great to see that the menu items have not changed, but I think each item has gone up by $1-2. Our order above came to almost $60 incl tax, before tip...but admittedly, two of us ordered enough to feed 4+. The only disappointment is that the basket of chips came with some tortilla chips that were not fully crispy. Since we're so happy they've finally reopened, we didn't point this out to the staff. If this is the case on our next visit, it'll definitely be pointed out, and a star deducted. Welcome back King's Tacos!!

Yelp
What an awesome place - the owners are always there tending to their patrons. The food is always great and consistent. Love that they continue to provide salsa and chips when you arrive. The service is quick and pleasant. Love this for our Mexican food cravings and great comfort food.
