"Kings Wine Bar, a neighborhood restaurant, is closing on March 24. Michael and Nu Zosel, who bought the business in October 2014, expanded its offerings to include pan-Asian dishes. The original owners, Molly Duffin and Samantha Loesch, opened Kings in 2009. The new owners will operate a new restaurant with a different name and cuisine at the same location." - Joy Summers

After I read the current reviews on this place I expected the service to be poor, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Our server, Laura, was a very nice lady who came to check that we were happy with our order several times. I enjoyed my pasta, but honestly the mac and cheese was delicious and far better. Their selection of wine and other drinks was interesting, and I enjoyed my "black" port. (Though really it was just a dark ruby port, not sure why they called it black.) All in all it was a very enjoyable experience and Kings has been added to the list of restaurants I recommend to friends who visit me in the cities.

This ended up a pretty disappointing experience for me. I came here for a friend's birthday and tried the special, a dish recommended you our server as vegetarian (as I have been one for 20 years), she informed the rest of my table that it can be made with shrimp as well. After receiving my dish (and starting to eat) I discovered that it contained shrimp. My server took my dish and returned with a shrimpless plate 10 minutes later. When the bill arrived I was puzzled to see that I was not only charged full price, but I was charged the cost of the dish with shrimp. When we asked to speak with a manager we were greeted by David whose tone was accusatory (he stated that we were lying about the wait time to remake the dish?) and showed ZERO customer service. As my friend rationally tried to explain the situation he repeatedly spoke over her saying he didn't know what we wanted him to do about it. (Thought - treat us with basic human decency?) The food was fine (just fine...), but I will not be returning and will be recommending others to do the same based on my customer service (or lack thereof) experience.

Each time I go here I'm tickled by how interesting each item on the menu sounds and how ridiculously tasty the item I actually choose is (and it's always such a hard choice!). The coffee's rich and the staff are friendly too. Given how fantastic the food is, I'm always surprised that there aren't more people in there. Great place. I go often and will continue to do so as long as you keep serving such great stuff.

My favorite restaurant of all time! Always good! I have tried half the menu at this point and I am impressed everytime. Their wine is delicious and it is such a chill spot with live music some nights and the cutest shots for birthdays! So glad to have found this gem!

I’ve only been here for drinks but the selection was good. Pricing and pour sizes were much better than average. The three pour wine flight was an impressive value to say the least. Relaxed atmosphere, quiet neighborhood surrounding.

A little on the pricey side. Check out the nightly specials for some added fun. GREAT date spot - we made it last night for half off bottles of wine with a >$30 dinner and the Korean BBQ Rice Bowl was phenomenal.

The service at this place was amazing. The waitress was wonderful. She made suggestions, helped pick wine and dessert, and kept.our water glasses full. The food was just ok. The kung po shrimp had charred (burned, overcooked) shrimp, and Italian spaghetti noodles. I was unimpressed. The good news is that that left me room to have dessert, which was better.

NYE & Valentines reservations required, cc# taken and $20/person cancellation charge. Our new years eve visit, with a reservation found the place mostly empty, and set menu with courses for dinner. However, $65 check for a party of 6 was outstanding, thanks to our server's recommendation.
