This is a smaller market but they have a few unique and very good stands there. The ravioli stand-so good. There is a dumpling stand that’s great and a stand where they make curries and jerked chicken. Parkinson’s very strange there. They block off most of the lot which make no sense to me at all.

Try the spicy African cuisine at Meltwin Kitchen, you will not be disappointed. All the vendors there are nice and friendly.

Great spot for fresh fruit and produce. The rice and chicken dish from Meltwin Kitchen was excellent!

We went on a Friday in July and there were about 10 vendors as well as the market information station and a compost drop off. Everyone was very nice, a good if small selection of local produce and artisan goods. We recommend the blackberry sorbet from the lady who sells empanadas and juice and sorbet.

The best part of Friday's during the spring to early fall. I really enjoy all the vendors and variety of stalls that are available. My personal favorites are the kettle corn stall, and the meat pie stall and there is a great bread stall as well.

This was an extremely hot hot day today, but they had some good fresh fruit. bread and jerk chicken. The chicken smelled good but tasted better. We walked fast and still spent money.

Nice to see that they are finally adding sellers, again. Last couple years they'd lost several anchors and had no fruit sellers (but way too many bakeries). Thing's seem more balanced, this year ...and have at least one fruit sellers.

Good opportunity for very fresh foods. The 4pm start time is a good variation from the other markets. All vendors I used took credit cards and had bright, fresh displays.

Yelp
What a great market. Opening day May 3rd. Looking forward to Suka nuts (Nuts & Confectionary Treats) tasty new flavors. Macadamia Brittle with spicy dried pineapple just one of 4 different brittles each with a unique dried fruit. They now offer Homemade butter toffee. I love all the options available at this market. Perfect options to start a relaxing weekend. Mark your calendar 5/3 from 3-7p.

Yelp
There's never many vendors but there's fresh produce. Just high prices. The 4 stars on this review belong solely to the kettle corn people. I miss you. Come back to me.

Yelp
It was a small farmers market but we enjoyed it. They had vendors from all different sector therefore it provided the variety that I needed. We were able to get our yellow watermelon which is what we came here for.

Yelp
This review is for the seasonal Kingstowne Farmers Market, which is in Kingstowne (Alexandria), VA, held on Friday's from 4-7pm in the parking lot of Giant/Ross/gas station nearby. Over the past 3-years this venue has "dwindled" from roughly 20-vendors of all types, to around 10-vendors on a good day. Usually now, only 1-2 are actually selling produce on a good weather day. The rest appear to be agriculture, or, pre-made food enthusiasts. Noted a much-reduced attendance no matter what time we've gone, and if the weather is bad, only 1-2 vendors have been present. Seems like this venue is losing momentum and may be fading? Rating: (***) A-Ok. Quality is good for what is available.

Yelp
Can't wait to come back when it warms up. Just went the other week in 30ish degree weather, but overall great selection of vendors. From fresh breads to cheeses to fruits & vegetables...a lot more btw. Good to support local growers and oh by the way your treating your body to fresh products! Free parking during farmers market hours, just park in the parking garage. They will know not to charge you on our way out.

Yelp
I just moved to Kingstowne and I feel lucky to have such a great farmers market at such a convenient location and time. They have three heavy duty produce stalls with a very wide selection of seasonal produce and they all have pretty comparable prices. The produce has been very good quality and some of the stands have samples available. There are also other vendors selling pies, salsa/pico (it's good!), kettle corn, snow cones, Greek desserts and other options. Overall, it's a market that offers a wide selection, is clean and well-maintained, and has reasonable prices for farmer market standards. Try to help out the businesses and bring cash and your own bag. I will surely be a regular at this market!

Yelp
Today was opening day. One of the hottest days we've had so far this year - a blistering 90 degrees - and the market opens in the Kingstowne shopping center parking lot. It was nice to see. Broiling, but nice. My first stop - herbs. $3 a pot or four pots for $10. I got four. The stand also had some asparagus. I got a beautiful bunch and am looking forward to doing something with it this weekend. I knew I wanted some bread. The sausage maker had some honey wheat bread. I didn't even think to ask (let this be a lesson), but the bread is made with fresh lard. I don't mind it, but my veggie husband (aka The Man) can't do meat products. Guess what we're having for snack at work this week? I admired the hanging baskets of flowers (large pots $15) and the fresh greens salads. My only reason for not buying any salad this week is that it would really need to be eaten within a day. Next week I'll plan on salads for the whole weekend. Then I made it over to the bread booth. He had me at "sourdough." I spent a week on a beach near Santa Cruz, CA many years ago. Each day, I would drive down the mountain to the beach and stop for a loaf of sourdough bread and a large bottle of water. I would sit on the beach, content with the world. Yum. More to come.

Yelp
This little farmers market rocks! It's small and quaint but has some super fresh produce at extremely reasonable prices. The vendors are all very nice and willing to answer customer questions. A big tip is to get there early and grab your produce FAST! I went to the market the Friday before Labor Day and felt like some of the other customers were kind of pushy and snatchy and had a quick "get in and get out" mentality. I thought a couple of elderly folks were going to get pushed down! Crazy people. So yes, get there early and start buying!
