"There’s a buzzing atmosphere at this authentic izakaya, set in The Onyx Tower 2 in The Greens. Five ramen dishes underpin the menu, which also lists other Japanese classics including sushi, sashimi, robata and tempura. Ingredients are good quality, cooking is careful, prices are low and flavours, delicious. For a chance to watch the chefs preparing their signature dishes, be sure to book your seats on the counter in advance." - Michelin Inspector

9 Exciting Food Experiences in Dubai - AFAR

"Born from a private supper club and expanded into a restaurant (and later into an international venue), this noodle-and-broth concept emphasizes careful, locally sourced chicken broths and farm-fresh vegetables with no corners cut. The menu caters well to non-meat-eaters, with an umami-rich vegetarian ramen developed as a nourishing bowl inspired by the chef's desire for comfort after becoming a parent." - Nicola Chilton

The Low-Key Hangouts Challenging Dubai’s Maximalist Reputation

"In the Greens neighborhood is Kinoya: Born out of chef Neha Mishra's sold-out supper club, it is now a low-key Japanese izakaya-and-ramen room where slurping is encouraged."

I celebrated my birthday at this Japanese restaurant and was lucky to get a seat at the chef’s table. The experience was incredible! The place has a cozy and authentic atmosphere that truly transports you to Japan. The staff were warm and attentive, and the service was top-notch. Every dish we had was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, you can really taste the quality and care put into each bite. I was so impressed that I booked it again for my bosses and guests, and they were just as blown away. Everyone loved the place! It’s now one of my top recommendations for anyone looking for a special, authentic Japanese dining experience.🍣🍜🍡🇯🇵 Highly recommended! 🙌

Having lots of awards and even the prestigious Michelin star, I honestly had high expectations with the dishes we ordered here. You need to have a reservation to dine with them, and we opted for the earliest time available, which was an 8 PM slot. They offer 2 hours of free parking in the building, which is good. Entering the restaurant is a breeze, although we had a hard time locating it inside the building. We were seated around the chefs preparing the food, which is really entertaining to see. Service-wise, ordering is okay, and the staff is helpful with the queries that we have, but if you need additional orders or even ask for the bill, it's difficult to spot a staff member who can assist you. Now, for the food, I'm not sure if we set our expectations too high because of their awards, but the dishes we ordered were just ordinary. Nothing great. It's like you get full, but you won't recall or crave those dishes after that. Plus, the prices are a bit on the higher side. Hopefully, they can still improve over time.

Decided to celebrate my birthday in this restaurant with my colleagues and friends and it was amazing and unforgettable . We booked a head cause they require a reservation. Ambience is giving a relax and peaceful dining experience. We love how they welcome and guide us from the moment we came in down to our table. We knew that their food will be the star of this place but it’s not just their Ramen, Izakaya that makes it worth it, it’s an overall experience that this restaurant offers. It was one of my best memorable birthday celebrations I had, to try a Japanese Cuisine with amazing people around, and I felt I was in Japan for few hours with the taste of their authentic ramen recommended by the server. He helped us chose on what we preferred and shared what’s best for sharing since we are a group of people. Overall, I love how this restaurant gives a unique experience to anyone. Thank You for creating a beautiful memory to remember.

We’d been hearing quite a bit of buzz about this place, so we finally decided to give it a try. Luckily, we were seated at the chef’s table—a great spot where you can watch the ramen being prepared right in front of you. It instantly brought back memories of small, specialty ramen shops in Japan, where the focus is entirely on the craft. The ramen itself was rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying—definitely comfort food at its best. We also ordered the plum wine, which is a classic addition and pairs beautifully with the meal. The ambiance is well thought out and adds to the overall dining experience. As for its spot on the “50 Best” list—well, that might be up for debate. While the food is genuinely good, the pricing does feel a little steep for a single bowl of ramen. Still, if you’re after quality and that authentic feel, it’s worth trying.

Solid spot for a quick midday meal. I’d never tried tantanmen with raw onion as a garnish before—it works surprisingly well! Service was efficient, with dishes arriving very quickly, and everything is cooked right in front of you.

I tried this Japanese restaurant and ordered the Spicy Duck Ramen and Tanta Pork with bread, while my friend went for the Original Ramen. The ramen was good and I really loved the meat—very tender and flavorful. Just a small note: if you’re someone who loves spicy food like me, you’ll probably need to ask for extra bowls of chili, because the “spicy” ramen isn’t really spicy at all. Service-wise, the chief server who took our order was very nice and helpful, which made a great impression. However, the Filipina server who brought our food seemed a bit moody, maybe because it was really busy on Sunday. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and I’d come back again, especially for the ramen.

Great quality food - you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the recipes are authentic. We had the fried chicken, chicken gyoza, tuna sushi and the chef recommended ramen. All were delicious. Make sure to make a reservation way ahead of time, unless you’re willing to sit in their extremely uncomfortable bar seats.
