Google
The food is amazing. The quality is amazing and the portions are great. Really nice atmosphere. Did the all you can eat sushi and was not disappointed. Ended up buying the brown sugar bubble tea too. 10/10

Google
Kintaro is truly the best all-you-can-eat sushi in Cleveland! Everything is fresh, delicious, and high quality, and they offer so many great options. They recently updated the menu, and I was so excited to see sashimi and ikura added, such an amazing deal for everything you get and the quality they serve. Definitely a must-try for sushi lovers!

Google
My favorite AYCE sushi place, actually it’s the only AYCE sushi place I know ever since my wife and I moved to Ohio. We used to live in Vegas and AYCE sushi restaurants are a dime a dozen. There were on every corner. I would say that this place is comparable to them, makes me miss home a little bit less. Great choices, great food and great staff. Highly recommended.

Google
I’m very middle road with this restaurant. It’s a great concept, all you can eat sushi, hibachi and hot pot.. however I’m always worried I won’t be able to finish the first serving because they warn you that you can be charged for food waste. I’ve ordered the sushi and hibachi and it’s very average. Not bad but not fantastic. Today we tried the hot pot and I was disappointed with the quality of vegetables they brought out. I also didn’t care for the flavor of the chicken broth. The tea was very good, I got the passion fruit tea. It’s a fun concept and not badly priced but I wouldn’t suggest coming here expecting amazing food.

Good sushi, variety to select from. Nice and friendly staff.

This was my first visit to this chain. When we stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday, and we all decided to order the all-you-can-eat sushi. Initially, I had planned on ordering the all-you-can-eat hot pot option, but the sushi menu seemed to have more to offer. You can also order regular menu items, but it seems the all-you-can-eat is the popular choice. Any guests who ordered the all-you-can-eat are allowed to share amongst each other, which was nice. The sushi was good, though it wouldn't be on my radar if I were going strictly for great sushi. Where Kintaro shines is definitely with the all-you-can-eat, as it includes an expansive selection of appetizers, soups, salads, steak and seafood options, rice dishes, and so many choices of sushi. The hot pot is similar, but totally customizable to your liking, and the tables have hot plates to keep your base hot throughout your meal. They also had a great selection of beverages. The green tea with jasmine and foam topper was so good. Place was very clean, and we had good service. The food was on par with similar establishments, but considering what they offer for the price, it's a great value that would be hard to beat anywhere.

Google
Favorite place for sushi! All you can eat is well worth it! Service is great - food brought out fast - never had a bad sushi roll. You pay for uneaten food - so only order what you can put down - we always come prepared to get our sushi fix!

Google
I love coming and eating here, it’s always such an amazing experience. Upon arrival, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have A LOT to choose from here, so you’ll definitely be sure to find something you like. I always get the chicken and steak hibachi whenever I come here, because it’s a classic that you cannot beat. I also get the strawberry milk tea as well. The food always comes out nice, hot, and delicious every single time, no issues there. And for the price, I can’t complain one bit. There’s a reason why I come back here so often

Yelp
I really enjoy coming here. While sushi isn't usually my thing, the hibachi was fantastic and more than satisfying. My partner went all in on the sushi and loved every bite, so there's something for both of us. We haven't tried the hotpot yet, but it's definitely on our list for next time. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and a fun spot to enjoy together.

Yelp
We always enjoy Kintaro when visiting Cleveland. This was our first time to this location as family member lives close to here. Food was good to very good as usual, but the dining room was freezing cold. The staff turned it up somewhat but it really was too cold for comfort. We'll be back but likely to the other locations.

Yelp
Coming from LA, I'd been looking for a good AYCE sushi spot and was unfortunately disappointed by Kintaro. Although I was satisfied at first with the quick service and rather large selection, the nigiri and sashimi did not taste fresh. To make things worse, my boyfriend ended up getting sick after few hours afterwards with food poisoning - so we most likely won't be back :/

Yelp
I actually love this place. We went this last weekend and it is one of our favorite locations for the area. It has hotpot but we go for the ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI. Yes you read that right!!! Service isn't like IHOP when they have their all you cqn eat, it's quick and they are AWESOME. Food is great. Not my favorite but top 3 for sushi in the area, and it is very clean. Avoid the water, not sure why it's flavor is off but that was the only downside to each visit.
google avatar

Adrie G.

Yelp
Love their Thai iced tea and they have Boba too! That all you can eat sushi boat and all you can eat hot pot! It is a great place to go with a big group since you're all sharing the sushi and hot pots. The service is great. They are on top of things.
google avatar

Yelp
Beyond disappointing. I've been to the Brooklyn location and it wasn't bad, but this location got just about everything wrong, starting with serving my vegetarian friend a meat based soup despite her stating that she's vegetarian and ordering the vegetarian hibachi. Just as a disclaimer - the onion soup is not vegetarian, despite the menu stating nothing about it. Our fried rice was inedible. It was bland with zero seasoning, not even salt or pepper. There was simply soy sauce and nothing else. The yum yum sauce was weirdly sweet, which is unlike the other location we've been to. The chicken was just okay. The cheese rangoons came with a spicy chili sauce instead of a sweet and sour sauce. The salad and soup were good, but honestly couldn't get over how disappointed I felt in the quality for the cost.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
When I have sushi cravings and really want to eat, this is definitely my go to. Love how many sushi options they have to choose from and the fact that it is all you can eat makes it even 1,000 times better! That you can enjoy an all you can eat buffet of sushi for lunch for $17,99 is just amazing and unbeatable! Also, their ambiance inside is super nice and makes you really enjoy the food there!

Yelp
I've been going to Kintaro for years now, but always the Ridge Road one. Tonight we decided to try the newest location, which is definitely an upgrade! The interior is nice and clean, and there's so many options for private dining. The servers were very nice and accommodating. Comparing lunch and dinner, I would say it's worth splurging on dinner if you're getting lots of sushi and nigiri. Clearly we loved the salmon, which was super fresh and not fishy at all. The hot pot was also great with lots of options. Overall, I would definitely come back to this location over their Ridge Road, but both are a great deal for quality fish

Grace P.

Yelp
Honestly really had high hopes walking into lunch all you can eat hot pot.. truly I've never left a restaurant after taking two bites and feeling immediately sick. The food was incredibly bland and my partner and I both tried to consume as much as possible to avoid any kind of "food waste" fee (which was a liberal three bites of hotpot and two sushi rolls). I felt so incredibly uncomfortable to even ask for a refund or for new food because the vibe (and smell) in the restaurant was just so rancid. The food genuinely tasted like dirty bath water and the hot pot portions were incredibly huge, no one person could have finished without making themselves ill. Save yourself the anxiety inducing experience and order takeout from your favorite sushi spot.
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
It's affordable all you can eat sushi and hot pot. Did not try the hot pot (was really tempted to!) so this review is for sushi only, which is best described as quite ordinary for AYCE. Service to its credit was pretty good, atmosphere in our booth was best described as spartan and serviceable, and well, some of the spicy yellowtail-type rolls were a bit weird because they were unusually crispy? Maybe I need to re-read the menu... but then it wasn't tasty enough for me to want to go back, unless my friends want to do hot pot...
google avatar

Jason V.

Yelp
The service was great the waitress was attentive to everything and exsplaing some of the dishes on the menu the hist was nice also the seating was great we sat right by the cooks I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi with fried rice I would have to say definitely add the yum uum sum to the rice it's very good with it everything was good very happy with the service and food I recommend giving this place a go if your looking for good food and service.

Yelp
Hope can do zero star, went here for lunch , no hot pot ,and host ask me hot pot or sushi , I choose hot pot , and get a sushi menu

Grace O.

Yelp
I love Kintaro! It's a go-to spot for me whenever I'm craving sushi. I really enjoy the crab rangoon's as well, and they come with a sweet chili sauce which compliments it perfectly. I highly recommend trying something from their special drink menu as well! The service is always friendly, sometimes a bit slower on busy days, but overall great! I love the aesthetic of the restaurant, and it's a big place with plenty of seating available!
google avatar

Mark E.

Yelp
This place is fun. If I lived closer, definitely will be going here frequently. We all, mostly got the all you can eat sushi. The food was good but make sure to order less, then layer it in. We ordered too much of the same thing and ended up stuffing yourselves because we didn't want to pay extra. So I would coordinate with the whole table and share the food.
google avatar

Sandro K.

Yelp
Yeah, they have sushi ... and hot pot ... and if you like lots of it. Everything else was ... just ok.

Yelp
I was visiting Akron with friends. We went for the all you can eat lunch which came out to be $22. As a vegetarian I ordered the miso soup, udon soup, cheese Rangoon, spring rolls, and sweet potato tempura. The best sides were udon soup with veggies, cheese Rangoon, and spring rolls. Miso was super salty, sweet potato tempura was soggy and oily. I wouldn't come back here again. The cheese Rangoon barely had any filling so I left 3/4 of it on the plate (as you can see). They did come out super hot though. Ice cream was self serve and unhygienic. Honestly the entire restaurant may have looked clean but it certainly did not come off that way to me. I think they could clean and disinfect better, and not make the ice cream self serve. May be worth it to sushi lovers and those who have a big appetite but I am not a fan. Btw, take your time ordering your food. If you leave sushi on your table they will charge you!
google avatar

Yelp
First visit was on Mothers Day, will definitely go back! You can order meals, or all you can eat sushi from a very vast menu. We opted for the sushi. Everything we tried was delicious. My advice is to order small amounts at a time. The staff is very accommodating and will check on you often, but they have a weird policy of charging you extra if don't finish what you ordered? This is noted on the menu, but we didn't experience it as we clean our plates! Bottom line..... definitely worth a visit, a unique experience.
google avatar

Chrissy T.

Yelp
I usually go to the Kintaros down by Fairlawn but stopped here since I was in the area with my sister. Amazing! The staff was super friendly and attentive. Our waitress stopped and checked in multiple times. This one's actually fancier on the inside compared to Fairlawn! Overall well decorated and clean. I loved the ambiance. I did the ayce hotpot and my sister did sushi. They had slightly different options which was nice for the hotpot! My sister over ordered and couldn't finish the AYCE so we had to pay a charge but it wasn't bad for how much left over sushi she had. Then she had left overs for dinner. Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Michaela S.

Yelp
Excellent Experience! We came here around i p.m. on a Monday night (closes at 9) and it was pretty busy, but we were still seated right away. We both chose to do the all you could eat sushi for 27.99, and it included more than just sushi. You're able to order appetizers, soup/salad, hibachi, noodles, etc as a part of the all you can eat! The sushi was really good quality, and we both agreed this was one of the best all you can eat sushi experiences in the midwest. Our server was prompt and even gave us a last call on any additional rolls before the kitchen closed! My only knock would be that my hibachi vegetables came out cold, but I was there for the sushi anyways so who cares! If you're a sushi lover who regularly eats 3+ rolls or lots of sashimi definitely stop in!
google avatar

Leslie A.

Yelp
Everything we had was delicious!! Things are small, but it's all you can eat! We did not try the hotpot, just the sushi menu, but we tried a lot of things! We will definitely be back. Our service started off good, but something went wrong and we were forgotten about. Other than that, things were good
google avatar

Blanche K.

Yelp
This is a reliable spot for AYCE sushi & hotpot but their ingredients are definitely not the best and most definitely not the freshest. Perhaps it's because of midwest proximity to fresh seafood. Pros: Variety- Extensive menu options especially for dinner. Nigiri includes surf clams and scallops to name a few. Specialty rolls are endless as well. Price- worth it even if you don't eat a lot, with many sushi places charging more than 20 for just 2 rolls. Cons: quality of ingredients, some fish can taste fishy at times Service- truly horrid. Orders can take upwards of 30 minutes. Dishes are not cleared off table. One visit the staff simply piled up all the dirty dishes at the end of our table throughout our meal.

Yelp
I've been to all the Kintaro locations in Cleveland, OH. The Westgate Mall location is by far the busiest. I have never had to wait for a table at Kintaro until last night. Being the busiest location causes some of the staff to be stressed which causes them to be a little sassy towards the customers. This location is one is the most popular to me because of the atmosphere and quality of food. Yes, the workers can be a bit pushy and sassy, but in my opinion the food is worth it.
google avatar

Melissa J.

Yelp
Sushi Sushi Sushi!!! I love sushi, and Kintaro rolls the perfect sushi! With restrictions on in-dining options, Kintaro has fast and easy to-go options. The process or ordering is seamless and pickup is just as easy. We ordered a pleathera of rolls and single pieces and they were delicious, fresh and perfectly paired and extremely well priced. I look forward to trying Kintaro once they reopen for in-house dining. No pictures available because we ate them so fast!

Yelp
I was excited to try an all you can eat hot pot place, and I was not disappointed! There are so many different choices in terms of broths, sauces, meat, vegetables, and carbs. Based on my brother's recommendation, I chose the Chinese herbal broth. It had a deep, rich flavor. It wasn't too strong, though I should warn that it had a little kick to it (maybe white pepper). They had a sauce bar where you could customize your dipping sauce. Due to COVID, it's not self-serve, so we had to have one of the waitstaff come make it for us, which didn't take long at all. My sauce creation was a sesame paste with soy sauce and it was delicious. We received generous helpings, despite it being all you can eat. My family only ordered 1 platter each, and I got 2 because I am picky and therefore selected fewer ingredients than they did. The best meats I had there: fatty beef and pork & beef balls. They were both flavorful. The beef was really firm, but still good. The fresh corn on the cob was super sweet. It was a great value at $15.99/person for lunch, considering how much food you get. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Zohabe B.

Yelp
The all you can eat sushi lunch special is a great deal! They have a variety of sides and auxiliary dishes to order in addition to a wide variety of high quality sushi.

Chris A.

Yelp
Great place we always get the hibachi dinner. Always hot, good service even though it's always busy. One of our favorite restaurants
google avatar

Richard F.

Yelp
I came here for my cousin's birthday and we had a great sized table in the back. We all ordered off the "All You Can Eat" Sushi menu, the nice part about the menu is that you order sushi and many other dishes as well included in the all you can eat menu; hibachi, fried rice, dumplings, and teriyaki (excludes hot pot). There service was great and portions were good sizes too. I'd recommend this place if you are looking for a great Asian restaurant!

Alicia G.

Yelp
Very rude service . They disconnected the call when I inquired about sea food boils .
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
This is the only hot pot place I have ever eaten, but I have brought many friends here and never had a complaint. I've tried both the "all you can eat" sushi and the "all you can eat" hot pot, and just thinking about it is making me want to go back! The sushi is made to order, and the hot pot is as well. Also good bubble tea! Really fun experience.

Nate B.

Yelp
This place was a disappointment. I got the teriyaki chicken and it was tough and dry. And the service was just mid. One of the worst Asian restaurants I've been to.
google avatar

Izi F.

Yelp
The food is not bad but not worth the $30 price honestly, it's just a tiny tad better than the Fuji Buffet, but it's $10 more expensive, you get less options, and you don't really know what you're getting until your order comes in. If it's bad, you're forced to finish it. At the Fuji buffet, you see exactly what you're getting and can cherry pick the exact quantities of sushis that suits you. Don't order anything from the specialty roll section or any of the exotic raw fishes, they don't taste good at all and you're not missing out on anything. The hibachis and classic rolls are the highlights. I also don't like how they leave the sushi end pieces on your plate. I get that they don't wanna waste but it's just not something you serve, it's like putting your trash on a customer's plate. Besides that, I do admire at how well they control waste in this place, compared to say, the Golden Corral where people throw away full plates of food, super primal and irresponsible. Overall, Kintaro is a great place but with better options like the Fuji Buffet, I don't think I'll be coming back.

Samantha W.

Yelp
I loved the habachi but I tried the sushi I got didn't really prefer it much first time I had went with my husband so we tried it and didn't really prefer the sushi so the waitress we had I think her name was lily she got snotty bc after I ate the habachi I got full and didn't eat the rest of sushi she got snotty at me and my husband than I got our receipt and went to unlock my card then put my card in little book the waitress ripped it out my hand all snotty only reason I gave her a 10$ tip was bc I liked the nice looks of the place and food was brought quick but treating someone like crap over being full isn't a way to having me or my husband come back but we did like the price for two on all u can eat only 66$

Holly S.

Yelp
Ordered three rolls (sweet potatoes Shrimp cocktail, shrimp tempura and spider), received my order and they gave me sweet potato and shrimp tempura side dishes instead. When I called the man was rude and not willing to offer a solution, said "there is nothing I can do". Horrible customer service in my eyes
google avatar

Eileen O.

Yelp
My family and I went to Kintaro for lunch and it was delicious! You can decide to either have hot pot or sushi, and order directly off the markable menu. Once you turn your order in, your food will come out on a platter. If you order enough sushi on the same menu, it may come out on a sushi boat! The price of $17/adult for lunch for all you can eat sushi is a great deal for fresh sushi! Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
Food was decent. Awful service. To start, the waitress did not even greet us, then came back 15 minutes later to tell us about the all you can eat. So we waited forever. Then there was a black hair in my daughters soup ( she is 7 and had to order the full soup since they don't offer a kids menu). When the manager came over, he looked at the hair and told us no one in the kitchen had hair like that ( and we al have light hair in our family), and didn't even do so much as apologize. Worst asshole customer service ever. Will never come back because of it. Gross pigs
google avatar

Martina H.

Yelp
This place is definitely worth the price. Went for all you eat hot pot and sushi for lunch . It was only $18.99. It was more than worth it. The sushi is good and fresh. There is plenty of options to choose from. You can make your own hot pot. It is really an experience making your own hot pot. I would recommend one person get all you can eat sushi and the other get hot pot. The service was good they bring everything out really fast. I will definitely go again.

Paul David R.

Yelp
Everything was amazing I loved it me and my brother agreed.food 5/5 restroom was clean my favorite thing is the meat and I learned to use chopsticks
google avatar

Ronnie P.

Yelp
Checked out the EASTLAKE location for the 2nd time. Wasn't sure what to expect as my partner mentioned some of the reviews were sliding. We were seated right away and our drinks were delivered quickly. We checked off a list of rolls and were told they were backed up and it could take a while but it came out in a reasonable amount of time and as requested without sauce sprayed all over and thats a BIG plus !
google avatar

Anthony W.

Yelp
The best sushi and hot pot around. All you can eat is a no brainer. It's also extremely high quality. Hot pot is super fun. Our week is honestly not complete unless we make a stop at Kintaro.
google avatar

Kevin K.

Yelp
Ayce sushi experience was great! The sushi was good quality and we had some sake with it which made for a good meal. Definitely ate a lot of food, felt as though the price was worth it. You order by marking down on a paper menu which is a good classic feel. The server was quick with our drinks!
google avatar

Hannah A.

Yelp
Visited this past Saturday for some sushi. We arrived extremely hungry and ready for all you can eat sushi. Let's just say we underestimated the amount of sushi we could eat... We each ordered 3 rolls and that was far too much! It is a flat rate of $25.99 but $10.99 per pound of food you don't eat (remember this). The sushi was so freaking good and gorgeous to look at. I ordered the tuna avocado roll and two other speciality rolls. I wish I could have eaten more of it and enjoyed it instead of stuffing myself so I did not have to pay extra ‍. I will definitely be back, they also do hibachi and hot pots. I will be sure to pace myself next time, but how could you not get excited for sushi?!
google avatar

Cara L.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely love Kintaro. We love both the all you can eat sushi and all you can eat hot pot. Please know that the all you can eat options are always made to order and not a buffett! You will be charged for food that is not eaten- it's their goal as to not waste food. It states this on the menu. We have supported this establishment a lot before and during covid. They currently have a coupon (that you must mention) that offers 2 specialty rolls for $16! Steal deal! Our go to specialty rolls are the Chevrolet, Fiat (our favorite), Acura and Mini Cooper.
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
Well I know how a seal feels after gorging on fish. If your choosing the buffet, pace yourself. It's all delicious. There is a regular al cate menu for those that do not want a seal feeding. Picking off the buffet is marking a menu and handling off to the wait staff that is busting their humps all day. Take care of them for tips.
google avatar

Paulina C.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place by accident and boy was it a lucky stumble. All you can eat lunch or dinner (pricing varies). The rolls are delicious, tightly rolled. Service is prompt. Soy sauce is served in individual containers to minimize contamination. Personally I won't order the Kintaro roll again - too much going on. But the other three, especially with fresh Jalapeño, omg scrumptious.
google avatar

Yelp
Wowowowowo Finally. Sushi of high quality in a clean place . All you can eat high quality sushi. Its is so good. If this sink 5 stars then what is.

Catie T.

Yelp
Kintaro is mostly great. The food is pretty good and you definitely get your moneys worth, especially if you go for lunch. The host was nice and the inside nice and seemed clean. We were sat right away.on a Sunday during lunchtime. They give you paper menu to check off everything you want so we ordered some soup and salad, and some appetizers. The soups and salads came out quickly but then...everything came out at once..like apps dinners everything. Since its ayce and there were 5 of us the table was uncomfortably packed withe stuff and my entree got cold while I was still on my salad an apps... so I do wish they paced it a bit better or let you know to order your first round then wait and order the entrees later. I guess that was sort of on me but I thought there might be a bit better spacing between things. They also forgot a few things including my friends entree but we had a lot and she said she just did't need it. Our waitress was a bit frustrating, if one of us asked for something she like darted out of there we had to like beg her to come back and ask her to get the others another drink as well. It was like she only wanted to take one request at a time. Never asking if anyone else at the table needed anything so that was a bit annoying as we felt we were bothering her. Food is pretty good, I would avoid the imitation crab stuff. My hibachi shrimp and chicken was overcooked. I enjoyed the potstickers, rangoons, onion soup, salad, and tempura veggies the most. My drinks were good and decently strong. Overall I would go back its a good time and good value. I would say more like 3.5 stars if I could rate in halves.

Yelp
FOOD POISONING! I rarely eat out and have sushi about twice per month. I ordered sweet potato (which was really good) and spicy tuna. I got my order and should've taken another whiff of the tuna rolls but didn't think much of the smell. Since then, I've been sick with poisoning for the following 7 days. Finally getting over the illness although I had to fast and drink lots of water. Never again at Kintaro, don't get poisoned!
google avatar

Naomi F.

Yelp
We LOVE this place. It's all you can eat hibachi, sushi, and hot pot. My husband always gets sushi and I always get chicken hibachi. One of our regular spots!
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
My wife picked up four sushi rolls for our dinner this evening, two spicy tunas and two spicy salmons. The salmon and tuna tasted exactly the same, and the fish was some kind of pureed mixture that looked more like cat food than any kind of actual fish. And when I say "tasted", there wasn't much, taste, that is. And not a jot of spicy. The only good thing I can say about the meal was that the rolls are quite large in diameter, but having larger servings of lousy food is a very mixed blessing. We won't be back.
