Passion Ceviche Is The West Island’s First Peruvian Restaurant | Eater Montreal

"On the corner of Brunswick and Saint-Jean boulevards in Pointe-Claire I found Kinton Ramen, the Toronto noodle import known for its porky Japanese broth; it opened there on February 29 and represents the brand’s continued Quebec expansion since 2018 — this is its second suburban location after Laval, alongside several locations in Montreal proper, mostly downtown." - Tim Forster

You can tell these guys work really hard to get you what you want without waiting, serving orders faster than a drive through. The food was good. I wont stretch the truth and say it was exceptional but id absolutely eat there again without hesitation 😄 I recommend the house lemonade as a fun treat! I promise!

Service here was amazing. Our server, Alex, treated us super well. We got our drinks super quick, we didn't have to wait long for our food to came out, and the original veggie ramen was amazing.

Nothing fancy, just ok ramen and a bit pricy. They only put two thin slice of meat per bowl. The noodles were undercooked. I had better quality ramen for the same price. Feels more like a fast food place. Total cost 3 bowls = 70$ including tips.

Great atmosphere. Excellent service ! great staff energy. Delicious ramen ! Can’t go wrong with going there when you have a craving for some of that sweet sweet ramen !

Google
The tonkotsu ramen with the extra noodles was excellent, and I appreciated that a bit more broth was added so the noodles wouldn’t soak it all up and leave too little soup. (Sometimes at other ramen places, they don’t give you more broth when you add extra noodles.) One thing I wish is that there were English menus or at least some English alongside the descriptions. I just moved here from BC and am still learning French, haha. Anyway, I really enjoyed the meal!

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed the food here!! My favorite part of the ramen was the meat, which was SO tender and flavorful! The broth here is pretty good, but I felt "spicy" was not so spicy here. I would add more spice to my spicy bowl (personal opinion). They always have specials and combo meals, so be sure to check those out and try them! The cheesecake dessert wasn't too sweet, so it was a nice ending to a delicious meal!

Yelp
Jada was the hostess last time and this time! She had the draft pulling as I sat down, and this is the second time here! Ordered the pork donburi on Jada's recommendation! Let try it out!!

Yelp
I placed a takeout order on a Friday at 12pm online and indicated that I would like the order to be ready for pickup at 12:30pm. I got there at 12:31pm and the person behind the counter said they needed another 7 minutes for my order to be complete. I noticed that one appetizer was ready on the counter but not the other. I also ordered two ramens. The order was finally ready at about 12:55pm. I was standing there for over 25 minutes which in my opinion is unacceptable, especially when it was supposed to be another 7 minutes wait. There were about 5 tables doing in dining and 3 out of the five tables were already served. At least assure me that my order was being worked on and it would take a couple more minutes to be ready. Communication is key people! One person was preparing the meals while two other workers were walking in and out of the back room without assisting with the orders and just laughing and talking to each other. I am guessing they were on break but why would you take a break during a lunch rush while customers are waiting but it was not that busy as well so not too sure what the issue was. The fried chicken was nice and hot but the octopus balls were freezing cold and hard. That was most likely the appetizer that was ready when I arrived initially. The ramen was ok but nothing special. I ordered thick noodles for both orders but they gave me the thin ones. This was the second time I ordered take out and the last time was a negative experience as well. I waited about 20 to 25 minutes more for my order and when I got home, an order for a ramen was missing. I had to drive there and back, 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back and had to eat the ramen without my family. I would recommend that you revisit the take out order timeframe for your online site as it will never be respected. If you need 45 minutes to prepare ramen, then specify 45 minutes. In addition, have some validation controls in place to ensure you are prepping what the customer ordered. You would have happier customers. Would I order from them again? Probably not, especially for take out. Would I go there for in-dining eating? To be seen.

Yelp
First, I found a bunch of small black hairs in my ramen and it's disgusting. With the Covid-19 crisis, hygiene is so important. If they can't be careful enough to not have hairs in their ramen, how can they be careful enough to keep the customers safe from the virus?!! 2nd, the portion is so cheap for the price, only 2 pieces of pork per order & half of it is fat. The broil is mostly only salt. If you know your ramen, this is not quality and not worthy the price.

Yelp
Can't believe a west island resto has only french menus. Clearly no regard for us Anglos. Waitress says it's the law which it is not. And soup was mediocre

Yelp
I just love this place! They have such amazing ramen - very consistent and tasty. My favorite is the karrage chicken which is amazingly fried chicken! Take out is clean!

Jan L.

Yelp
The ramen is so good. Yummy comfort food!

Yelp
Was maybe early days, but went to this place when it first opened up. I ordered the spicy pork, my daughter a chicken original. When we got our bowls, there was a nasty smell coming from my daughter's food, she did not eat it. The pork ramen was not very good, but I ate it anyway. When I got home, I had nasty stomach cramps until nature took its course. As I said, they might be better now, but damn, that was "food poisoning" nasty.

Yelp
Two fat pork on the top, the soup taste just spicy and salty, not enough noodles, $14.99 for this noodle, doesn't worth. Service is good, nice staff, that's why I give 2 stars. I hope to see you improve.

Allison T.

Yelp
Delicious ramen. Really enjoy the pork original with extra egg. The gyozas and Sapporo are great too.

Yelp
Finally the first ramen shop in the west island where I don't have to waste my time driving into the city and looking for parking. If you got a craving, this does the job. Is it like Japan? No it isn't but if you have a craving, this is good enough.

Yelp
Same as all Kinton ramen restaurants, while not the most authentic ramen, it's delicious. Staff is nice and bilingual.

Parsa P.

Yelp
this place is amazing, best ramen in mtl. The people are really nice and quick with the order and plus it's such a nice place to eat

David T.

Yelp
Terrible service. We walked in and were seated immediately, typically within a couple of minutes after being seated we'd be asked what we'd like to order but we sat there for 30 minutes as we watched other people arrive after us and be served before us. We eventually decided to just leave. It wasn't busy and we saw the waitress who sat us constantly on her phone.

Yelp
This ramen place is the best. I had a veggie ramen with spicy garlic and it was awesome. The staff here is very friendly and courteous. They let me see how they make ramen.

Yelp
Had the special of the day Chicken breast ramen with seasoned egg and thin noodle. It is very delicious. Good service. Restaurant follows strict social distancing rules.

Raphael M.

Yelp
So we ordered the combo for two, original and spicy ramen soup and it came with 4 little dumplings for 32$. We both chose thick pasta instead of thin. So.. They basically put Italian pasta, (not Asian noodle) in the dish, a thin piece of porc, a thin piece of seaweed and an egg. Picture yourself making regular pasta, adding a overcooked piece of porc, measly piece of seaweed and an overcook egg... REALLY? Honestly I was looking to eat an Asian dish NOT regular artisanal Italian pasta. dish. The broth was extremely milky and had an usual aftertaste. I've eating Ramens before and this was by far THE WORST. Sorry, but you get bad reviews for bad food.

Edgie J.

Yelp
very good, the prices are affordable and they have quite a few vegetarian options which is super nice

Melissa R.

Yelp
They are so careful with COVID Regulations it's such a pleasure to eat here :) Thank you, amazing service and food.
