"Hidden behind sliding wooden doors, Kinu's décor combines Japanese and Thai influences, featuring teakwood crosshatch flooring and a mix of Japanese and northern Thai ceramics. Chef Takagi excels in Kyoto-style Kaiseki, highlighting the natural flavours of top Japanese ingredients. The bar offers an excellent sake collection, and a matcha tea ceremony marks the end of your visit. Additionally, welcome drinks are served in a Japanese-style Minka area." - Michelin Inspector

We had an incredible dining experience here! Every single dish was a piece of art. The ingredients were high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Service was impeccable. Make sure you're on time, as every guest starts eating at the same time. Booking in advance is a must

Heard about this place for a while and decided to give it a try. Wasn’t impressed that they served our welcome drinks at a table in Lord Jim’s during staff training in there that went on quite loudly. Then we got to the restaurant where the atmosphere was much better. Kaiseki dinner and sake were great. High quality ingredients and all the dishes were so tasty and complex. The head chef can speak English fluently and very friendly.

Great dining experience at Mandarin Oriental Kinu by Takagi. It's a 10 course omakase menu. We paired 6 types of perfectly selected Sake to complement our meal. Chef was friendly and every dish was prepared with lot of passion and love. 3 different types of Caviar was served. Every dish was well presented and delicious. Great intimate ambiance. Good service. Highly recommended

5 ⭐️ meal. Very delicate dishes with many ingredients/elements involved. But the lunch course is quite small compare to the price. The restaurant is quite small with total 10 seats. And the restaurant serve everyone promptly at noon. So if you are not friends having lunch together, the air can be quite intense.

I was told that the head chef comes from Japan every month and luckily I booked the day the head chef is in town. This is a real authentic Kaiseki dinner course which you don’t really see much in Bangkok as we know that omakase sushi restaurants are taking over the scene here in Bangkok. The course here was well put together. The amount of food served was just right. This restaurant sets a new standard for Kaiseki meal in Thailand.

Superb and impeccable service, as can be expected by MO's standards but more. The chefs were very friendly and quite informative. The food is great, minimalistic that speaks louder than they seemed. Simply excellent.
