Best Restaurants to Try While Visiting Wilmington, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Prolific Triangle-area restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias marked his entree in Wilmington’s restaurant scene with the second location of his signature Greek eatery Kipos. The Lumina Station location puts more of a focus on seafood as opposed to the OG Chapel Hill spot, with a fish market-style display of the day’s fresh catch for customers to peruse. Menu highlights include the shrimp and scallop Bolognese served over a squid ink linguini, the cauliflower crab dip, and the youvetsi (braised short ribs in a cinnamon-scented tomato sauce). The catch of the day is always a good choice, and for extra flair, it is filleted tableside." - Matt Lardie

From start to finish, this place blew us away. It was hands-down the most memorable dinner we’ve ever had in Wilmington. The magic started right at the door with Elena, the sweetest hostess who remembered it was my birthday and showed us a few different table options so we could pick our vibe. Such a thoughtful touch, and it instantly made the night feel special. Then came Garret, our server — and wow. He was incredibly attentive, knew the menu inside and out, and made everything feel effortless and fun. We kicked things off with the Topsail oysters (so fresh, so good), then dove into two unforgettable entrées: lamb over couscous and salmon over a butternut squash purée. Every bite was next-level delicious. The atmosphere? Absolutely beautiful. Cozy and stylish, with jazz playing in the back and a garden that Garret suggested we explore while waiting for our food — such a cool touch that made the experience feel even more unique. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the manager came by with a handwritten birthday card to wish me happy birthday. It was such a personal, thoughtful moment that made the night unforgettable. We literally woke up the next morning still talking about it and already wanting to go back. Kipos is more than just a restaurant — it’s a full-on experience, and we can’t recommend it enough.

We loved this spot. We sat in the garden dining room and the vibes were great. We had an early reservation or we would’ve come before and got drinks at the outside bar which looked super cute. We’re not big cheese people so we got the Melitzana dip to start. It was so flavorful but not overly heavily. We also got the brussels and the sauce on them was the perfect amount of sweet. I can’t remember the names of our drinks but both were well balanced and not overly sweet. For dinner we got the special grouper which was so complex. There was a cream mouse at the bottom and olives with a crust on the grouper. Flavors worked so well together and we both finished the whole thing. Would absolutely be back we loved it!

Not a single crumb was left behind. Our server Victoria gave great suggestions and made sure our party of 6 was well taken care of. The food is top notch, the service is fast & friendly, and the atmosphere is low key but lively.

We were visiting from Raleigh and we were really impressed with this Greek restaurant . Food was delicious ! Atmosphere was welcoming and cute. The waiter was a bit rude and a bit argumentative . Besides the waiter, everything was great

Kipos was an overall wonderful culinary experience! The food was so flavorful and wonderfully presented. The grilled octopus and the gruyere melted cheese were absolutely delicious as well as the main entree’s. We would highly recommend the baklava cheesecake which was simply a perfect ending. Our hostess Maddie was SUPER sweet and friendly! She made our dinner experience exceptionally great!

During our visit, our friends insisted on taking us to Kipos—and what a brilliant recommendation it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the enchanting atmosphere and stunning decor, which instantly set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff were warm and welcoming and the service was impeccable! One of the highlights of Kipos is its breathtaking garden, which adds a magical touch to the overall experience. During the summer months, it transforms into an oasis of beauty, offering a picturesque spot to enjoy a meal. Behind the magic of Kipos is Chef George, a young, ambitious, and incredibly talented culinary artist. His passion for innovation and his commitment to excellence are evident in every dish. And then came the highlight—the food! Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and crafted to perfection. It was clear from the first bite that this culinary experience was worth every moment. Kipos is truly a gem, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy exceptional food, a charming ambiance, and unparalleled service. P.S. try espresso martini with your dessert!

Yelp
Kipos is stunning. We opted to sit outdoors because it is lovely and peaceful. The garden is lovely, and includes a private table in a birdcage. The menu was full of amazing options. I had octopus medallions, perfectly seared, for my appetizer. My partner had horiatiki, a salad full of splendid garden vegetables including heirloom tomatoes cucumber and feta cheese. For entrées she had red snapper with gigantes beans and artichoke/olive tapenade. I couldn't resist the kakavia, a savory seafood stew that included roasted fennel. Mussels, shrimp, lobster, grouper. Each mouthful was rapture. The baklava is enough for four, but it is so good it's hard to share.

Yelp
I work as a food runner and busboy at Kipos, and it's a great workplace environment. I dined in for my first time yesterday for my mom's birthday--it was a pleasing experience! We had Colleen as our server, and she was attentive and sweet!! To start, we got drinks and appetizers. My dad loved his espresso martini (a highlight of the Kipos bar) and mom her drink called The Dillinquent. The zucchini stack was crispy and delicious, but not overly greasy either--I highly recommend it. We got an okra appetizer that was a special for the night, and this one was for sure a fluke. The flavors were there, but the okra was fibrous. I got the souvlaki chicken skewers, and they were pretty yummy, and they load up that plate--I'd recommend ordering this to share and/or try a lot since it comes with some pita and tzatziki! My dad got the moussaka, which may have been my favorite part of the meal. Moussaka is not as extravagant, but dang is it good. My brother got the youvetsi, which is a melt-in-your-mouth braised short rib that reminds me of Christmas. The youvetsi is one of the most unique and better dishes on the menu. The birthday girl got the snapper, which I hadn't tried before ... it was so good! Her plate was clean in no time!! For dessert, we did the baklava cheesecake and pot de crème. The cheesecake is a must if you like cheesecake! A great experience, and it was a pleasure being on the receiving end of the food this time. Thanks guys!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my dinner at Kipos. The atmosphere was super cute - I loved the blue and white decor, dinnerware, etc. Our waitress was really helpful in suggesting wine and going over the menu. We had a vegetarian in our party and were happy to find there was a vegetarian ravioli option on the menu. Portions were definitely small, but that's how I prefer it and I left feeling satisfied. Our dinners, desserts, and cocktails were yummy and presented well. I hope to return in different weather to enjoy the outdoor patio!

Yelp
Tonight's meal and service was phenomenal! I celebrated an engagement of a friend of mine. I had the grilled octopus and tzatziki. My friend has the ravioli and her fiancé had the beet salad, and gave something lol That gave something was SO good and the beet salad was delightful. Everything was phenomenal. Service was top notch and ambiance was also perfect!

Food was delicious! A little noisy! Octopus was perfectly done and not chewy or tough!

Yelp
I really hate to say this but this place just was not worth the hype. The ambiance and service was great but we were there to eat and the food was not great. We felt everything was burnt and that was the only flavor you got and for the prices and quality it does not have us rushing to give it a second chance.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday evening for dinner around 6pm. Was able to get a nice parking spot and able to be seated right away. The inside is so cute with great decor and the outside garden is also very cute. Everything looked very cohesive and the workers all looked very professional. All the appetizers sounded very good. I would've ordered all of them! We ordered the zucchini chips to split and they were so tasty! So crispy and the sauce was delicious! I then ordered the short ribs. Yummy! There was a lot of meat and the flavors worked really well. A little bit of a pricier meal but this place would be great if celebrating a special occasion or a fun date night!

Yelp
Let's get one thing straight I know what good Greek food and service is and this restaurant struck out on both. I'm from New England and moved to the Wilmington area a month ago and was anxious to give Kipos a try. The meal started out on a high note with a delicious Avgolemono Soup and then hit the skids. I ordered the marinated chicken souvlaki, a Greek staple dish and it was horrendous. This was the worst version that I have ever had the misfortune of eating. Even Greek church festival food put this overpriced dish to shame. When the manager finally came over to my table he told me that it had been marinated for 24 hours. What did they marinate it in? It appears that it was just oil and there were definitely a scarcity of vegetables on the skewers. It was totally tasteless. Now the sever stopped by my table to find out how my meal was after I had eaten perhaps four pieces of chicken and I told her quite frankly that it was terrible. She didn't offer to get me something else or have the manager stop by. She just walked away. She finally came back to my table ten minutes later after I placed the plate to the other side of the table. I informed her in no uncertain words that she failed terribly at doing her job and asked to speak with the manager who almost begged to give them another try. I paid the check in full land left no tip. Southern hospitality and quality Greek food doesn't exist at this overpriced restaurant.

Yelp
Our Memorial Day weekend dinner at Kipos Hellenic Cuisine was an unforgettable experience. As part of the renowned Giorgios restaurant group, Kipos lives up to its celebrated reputation. You'll find them at 1900 Eastwood Road, Wilmington, NC (inside Lumina Station) I savored the "YOUVETSI"--a braised short rib in a cinnamon-tomato sauce with orzotto, graviera, and parsley. This dish was extraordinary, with the meat effortlessly falling apart. The "PATATES" side--slow roasted lemon potatoes with oregano, olive oil, garlic, and feta--was another taste sensation that complemented my meal perfectly. My wife was equally impressed with her Seared Salmon, served with a sunchoke puree, steamed baby vegetables, and an orange saffron sauce. She declared it the best salmon dish she's had in ages. Our server, Evian, was exceptional. Despite managing a busy garden room and a particularly loud table, she remained poised, friendly, and provided excellent recommendations. Evian's professionalism and warmth significantly enhanced our dining experience. Kipos Hellenic Cuisine offers incredible food and outstanding service. We had a fantastic evening and will undoubtedly return. We highly recommended Kipos!

Yelp
I have to say the ambiance is enchanting. It takes me out of Wilmington and back to a sophisticated place in miami by the beach. The service was amazing, super friendly and helpful. Food wise, I was not super impressed until we had the Moussaka. We ordered the saganaki, zucchini stack and keftedes. Good but not anything more. The moussaka was exceptional after the small plates. If you like to order a bunch of littles I def recommend maybe one small plate and then onto the entrees. As recommended by our server, we ordered an espresso martini to top off the night and totally worth it!

Yelp
Kipos never disappoints. Been many times, most recently last night. The spicy feta and stacked zucchini appetizers rock. Usually we go for the feature meals and did again with a bone in pork chop with fennel and olives. It was excellent. Of course we will be back.

Yelp
We liked the one in Chapel Hill, so we were happy when this one opened. Our server explained that this location is considered upscale dining compared to the other location. We don't mind that because it's nice to go somewhere without T-shirts and baseball hats everywhere, which are perfectly fine in the right place. The interior is beautiful and has plenty of seating. It will get loud in there when it's full making it difficult to converse with a larger group. The service was impeccable. They only serve Greek wine which adds to the authenticity and it's always fun to try something new. The food was good. It wasn't the best food we've eaten, but it was good. Just not quite worthy of a 5.

Yelp
Everything about this place is terrific-the ambience, service, and food! It's beautiful inside and out back Everything we ordered was a just right Service was charming, helpful, just right

Yelp
This place was ever so pleasing to the palette! I absolutely loved all of the dishes served. Between the impeccable service and the exquisite taste of all of the dishes we were served. I truly don't think the experience could have been better. We all ordered a plethora of drinks and the specials for the drinks, I definitely recommend. I ordered something called a peachy blinder, which had gin and peach, along with several other ingredients. My fiancé ordered a tequila drink that had bitters, cinnamon, star anise and resembled the taste of a latte. Delish! The spreads we ordered all were made freshly made and were rich in flavor. We got the melitzana, which was a chunky eggplant dip with chopped red pepper, garlic, parsley and walnut. This was by far the best eggplant dip I've ever had! The spicy feta had a beautiful creamy texture and the fresh, warm pita served with the dips was spot on. We also had fried calamari that contained small rings and the little tentacles (my favorite!) cooked to perfection. The crudo we ordered was the freshest I've had and the radish and beet pairing was rather satisfying. Our entrees all tasted pleasant and the start of the show was definitely the lamb phyllo. The lamb was rich and served with mashed potato and veggies. Wonderful. The seared salmon cooked perfect to the chefs liking and ours as well, and the Kakavia contained multiple types of seafood that all had a lovely texture. I do have to say that the bone in pork chop was a wee bit dry and lacked some flavor, that's really the only negative thing to say. The interior of the restaurant was eclectically designed and reminiscent of a Greek feel. Tables were appropriately separated with a sizable amount of room between each party. The bar had a wide variety of liquors and the half outdoor seating section was beautiful! It was cold so we gratefully did not spend our visit out there, but would consider it for next time in more feasible weather conditions. Service was prompt and friendly and our server was able to steer us in the right direction for everything. Would definitely return to try more items on the menu.

Yelp
I really hate to write this because this has been one of my favorite restaurants for years but today our food had too many issues (a manager was informed of raw chicken so they have an opportunity to do better for other customers). First minor issue was that our Saganoki was burnt. We did not complain about it but it didn't taste at all how it normally does. It wasn't a big deal yet very disappointing. The bigger issue was my chicken was undercooked (raw pink/red center and ohh gosh the texture was so wrong). I did not get far before I stopped eating and was pretty grossed out. My son ordered the same thing and luckily his was cooked (his was thinner cubes). Things happen so I patiently waited to tell someone about my food. I never ever send food back but this wasn't safe to eat. A man wearing a suit came by and asked if everything was okay (he saw I was not eating) so I showed him my food and he said oh, chicken shouldn't be raw and picked it up and walked off. He came back to tell me they were remaking it. I thanked him but I really didn't want chicken after that. . . It came out and looked extra charred. I asked for a box and brought it home for my dog because after having raw chicken in my mouth, I am in no hurry to eat it again but it was $28 so I figured my dog would be happy. If I had the opportunity I would have asked for a salad instead. My husband and son had basically finished their food by the time my replacement meal that I didn't actually want came. . . I understand and appreciate the gesture but I just couldn't do it. The zucchini was amazing as always. That was the highlight for me. My husband and son both enjoyed their food though they had a hard time because they felt bad I didn't have my food. I also had a really good mocktail and our waitress was super sweet. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the front of house staff are incredible. Sadly, the food I had tonight was not cooked properly, so we will not be returning. **update: woke up sick in the middle of the night. :(

Yelp
We were able to snag a last minute reservation and I'm so glad we did. This spot has been on our list for a while, since Wilmington is lacking in good Greek food. This checks the box! We were seated on their sealed in patio (I bet its wonderful in the summer with a nice breeze!) and there were a few parties around us. Since it was an outside setup, there was a lot of concrete to bounce noise around. It was really miserable out there and we could not enjoy each other. Luckily, they were able to move us inside which was much more pleasant. Inside, the decorations are light and airy. Our service was decent. She always seemed to be a step behind us but we were just grateful to be there. A couple other servers came by at various points of the night which is a welcome surprise. Their cocktails were nothing exciting, and they were pretty expensive. I think we all had one drink each. Starting with the classics: we enjoyed the tzatziki and saganaki. One of the servers brought by the fried zucchini for us as well. Entrees included the branzino, and two pasta dishes. I thought the lemon veggie pasta was bland, but that could be because the apps were so good. Overall, we were very pleased to visit this spot. I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Classy look and sheikh vibes all around for this restaurant. The menu allows for many choices including selecting your own fish! Our dishes were cooked with perfection using a delicious blend of flavors along with nice portions.

Yelp
For my first dining experience here, I was going to say that I celebrated my 50th birthday AT Kipos, but in actuality, I feel like I spent it WITH Kipos. What spectacular, personalized service and food! In addition to our server, Shelly, being so helpful and attentive, the manager was very involved in our experience as well. He sat us at a beautiful table in the garden under our own gazebo and checked in with us several times. Being Greek, I can tell you that not only was this cuisine done right, but it actually bested some restaurants I just visited in Greece this Summer. My personal favorite of the night was braised short ribs over orzo, which was delightfully delicate and perfectly seasoned. Also, get the baklava cheesecake - you won't see it anywhere else!

Yelp
We spent some time in Greece this summer and loved everything we ate so when we learned about this new place we were super excited to try it. I made a reservation a few weeks ago (this is one you have to plan for if you want to go on a weekend!) and finally went last night. We were seated right away in the back near where you could see some of the kitchen and the fish on ice. The restaurant itself was bright with pretty lighting and decor. Once we were seated, someone came out to tell us our server was filleting a fish for another table and would be with us in a few minutes, so they took our drink order in the meantime. I tried the mykonojito (very good) and my husband ordered some ouzo. For starters, we got the tzatziki and the halloumi. Both fantastic - the seasoning on the pita was amazing too. For entrees, we shared the moussaka and branzino. The moussaka was huge and super filling. The fish was excellent. Finally, we shared the coconut cake for dessert - it was served cold which we didn't expect but it was very nice and not overly sweet. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This Greek restaurant is a great experience. There is both indoor and garden dining areas and both are lovely. The menu is not extensive and I don't recall any meat entrees. The snapper that we shared was deboned at the table. The salad that I had was really fresh and flavorful. My husband was a bit disappointed in the chicken rice lemon soup. We had no drinks but did have dessert and the bill with tip was $160. The best part of our meal was the service.

Yelp
"It's all Greek to me." I'm not Greek so I won't opine if it is authentic but what I do know is the food is great! Welcome to Wilmington Kipos! Let's start at the beginning...reservations are hard to get so we sat at the bar. Since visiting the Greek islands this summer, I have craved Greek wine and it's really hard to find...not anymore...the entire wine list is Greek...yay! Jimmy, the server at the bar is fantastic. He made my husband a specialty cocktail that did not disappoint. The great thing about sitting at the bar, it's like being in Greece...we shared food and drinks with others at the bar and the only thing missing was the Greek dance and an Oompa! Appetizers....Saganaki...I mean cheese is good but fried cheese with pita...the octopus was terrific and the olive oil on the sourdough bread is straight from Greece. Dinner...Jimmy recommended the specials and he was right. The Pan-seared barramundi fillet was a burst of flavor and the "crab salad" was pure crab meat on top of a perfect filet of white fish in a broth that was bursting with flavor. My husband had the ribeye and it too was delicious. From the regular menu, my son had the braised lamb shank that was so tender it fell from the bone. All amazing! Dessert...truly the finale...the key lime pie was so good we ordered a second and the Ravani was oh so good!! Definitely will be back. Can we just say Oompah!!!

Yelp
Ambiance of the place is amazingggg!! The decor, photos on the wall, and the outdoor pergola/gazebo section were simultaneously captivating and inviting. The service staff was plentiful and very nice, attentive and caring. There was a rain storm and they personally brought people umbrellas to stay dry. Ordered the fava bean dip, beet salad and the summer fettuccine. My brother order the grouper and brussel sprouts. The fava dip, beet salad, sprouts and grouper all had rave reviews. Portion size was perfect, flavors were unique, textures were on point... all great! The biggest standout to me was the beet sorbet in the salad - I've never had anything like it and would definitely recommend! The fettuccine fell a little flat in comparison to the rest but was still good. Just my least favorite of the options.

Yelp
Made dinner reservations on opentable. This new restaurant is located next to Lilies and lace. Enter Lumina Station from Eastwood road. Covered outdoor seating is available. The decor and design of the restaurant is very nice, simple and elegant. They thoughtfully chose every detail of the restaurant from the airy netted window shades to straw decorated wood sconce bulbs. Fresh flowers adorn each table. Even the bathrooms are nice with the salmon colored Greek statue inspired wallpaper, leather rimmed mirrors, and gold colored phone holder in the stalls. Some menu items were clearly popular. By 6:30 p.m., they were already out of branzino (whole fish from Mediterranean) and low in moussaka and short ribs. Red snapper was offered as an alternative option. In the back of the restaurant, fresh whole fish was displayed on ice. For appetizers we started with the melitzanosalata spread ($10), wbc sourdough ($8), and the cauliflower and broccoli ($12). I loved the Smoky flavor of the eggplants in the melitzanosalata. The sourdough was warm and crusty. Portion size of the melitzanosalata and the tomato spread with the sourdough was small. The cauliflower and broccoli was served cold, steamed and flavored with lemon. They were okay. For entrees, we had the black stripe bass ($35) and the short rib giouvetsi ($27). The black stripe bass was fresh and perfectly cooked. It was a petite whole fish (Don't eat this on first dates as you will be fishing out bones every bite and that does not look pretty). It came with a light salad with a lemon and olive sauce. The short ribs were also good, tender, but not melt in your mouth. I liked the tomato based orzo that came with the short ribs. The dessert menu with short, only three options. It was disappointing they only had one Greek dessert. We tried the key lime pie, made locally ($15). It was good, not tart (which may disappoint some people) and interestingly made in a biscoff cookie crust. Definitely overpriced. For drinks we tried the C. Lazaridi Oenodea Red, which was good. We appreciated Bill, one of the owners, stopping by and getting our feedback. Glad to have a nice Greek restaurant in town!

Yelp
I shared my experience with other well known chefs and they were surprised. You just don't do that chef! We blew 300 there and it was our first time there.

Yelp
This was an nice special occasion restaurant overall. The other three people in my party ordered entrees that they were absolutely thrilled with--chicken kebobs, ravioli and short ribs. We had a bottle of wine that was excellent. We ordered 3 appetizers for the table to start, all of which were good enough but micro-sized--one was a grilled cheese, everyone got one bite of cheese the size of a nickel. For my dinner, I personally ordered two additional appetizers, about the price of an entree. I do not recommend doing this, because it wasn't enough food. In particular, I ordered the octopus which at about 20$ was shockingly small, it was also quite mediocre. I also ordered the eggplant salad which was absolutely amazing. In short, avoid the apps entirely, just order mains, and wine.

Yelp
Good, service, ambient ... all 5 stars. Excellent place. Visited for my son's birthday and it was the perfect evening to celebrate someone special.

Yelp
Have been dying to try this place because we love Greek food! Made a reservation online and we were seated immediately when we arrived. We sat inside and the place is beautiful! They had Greek music playing which I enjoy, but it was a bit too loud, and the acoustics in there made it hard to hear each other. Our waiter was great, reviewed the menu and made recommendations. He was very friendly and took great care of us. Now the food...it was tasty, but overly rich for my personal taste. We ordered a hot app of stacked zucchini and would have liked more zucchini to breading ratio. It was a bit greasy and I would not get it again. I ordered the branzino and the table-side fillet option. The fish was good but the oil and lemon drizzle on top made it a bit heavy. There was still quite a few scales but i was expecting this. The other entree is moussaka. It was very tasty and a generous portion, but again too rich. This is personal taste, so others may disagree. I think the food is good but nothing I would run back to.

Yelp
Seated in the outdoor garden dining. Ambience was terrific. Josh was our server and did an amazing job explaining the extensive menu and preparation. We shared the roasted eggplant dip and beet salad. OMG. Outstanding. The ravioli was made with fresh pasta and cheese filling was rich but not overpowering. Ordered the one pound snapper. Josh deboned table side fabulously. How classy! We will be back soon!!

Yelp
We are from Tarpon Springs Florida and this restaurant has no comparison with a real Greek restaurant. I had the lemon soup that I always truly love and it tasted a bit like dishwater I had the clam linguine - five tiny clams - my diamond center stone is bigger and they tasted like rubber but the pasta was home made kind of , I had calamari - tough and cold- no salad or side - no bread and something was going on in the kitchen the food took over an hour to arrive - expensive and we were in the "porch" with a full room and I got a true headache from the reverb - you could not hear what anyone was saying - noise added to the anxiety that just is and I went there to relax - either burnt, small portions, high prices, loud but not authentic- The Olympia was better and that is no prize either Not returning ever. Too Bad! Too Expensive - I give it a year.

Yelp
Nicely located in Lumina Station, just shy of the inter coastal bridge at Wrightsville Beach. Well lit and modern interior, comfortable setting with nice interior lines. Staff are attentive and pleasant. Both the food and wine is exclusive Greek. Our appetizer was the Calamari. Good portion and only lightly breaded. Perhaps is individual taste, but my wife and I found it slightly underdone (usually it is overdone!). My wife ordered an interesting main dish- Shrimp and Scallop Bolognese. Sadly, both the shrimp and scallops are course ground to consistency such that there is no visual indication that they are present; however, the palate does not miss their presence in the dish. It is a clever take on an old, reliable dish and very much worth trying at least once. I ordered a braised short rib (Youvetsi). It was obviously slow cooked to good effect and the cinnamon-tomato sauce was a nice complement to the meat. As for any criticism, it would be this. Despite the significant cost of any entree ($30-44), a small salads are not included with the costly meal (optional side salads @ $14-$16) and- for reasons I cannot understood- no bread an olive oil ever is served to patrons. I'm sorry, but this is inexcusable and smacks of simple greed... especially at a restaurant that already charges top dollar. My wife really enjoyed the Baklava and, at $12, the serving was respectable for that price point. So, the food is good- but get ready to spend about $100 per person when all is said and done.

Yelp
The service here is so incredible, the server was so on top of things and fantastic, the hosts were kind, and someone was ready to take empty dishes off your table at all times. Our server gave great recommendations she helped us pick our starter and our entrees. All of the food tasted incredible, such amazing flavor. The restaurant is decorated beautifully all the decor is put together so intentionally. We would highly recommend going for an intimate celebration, because they will make sure you're taken care of!

Yelp
Everything was amazing. Food is superior. From our first plate to the last. Each once contained to exceed exceptions. Sourdough bread, grilled octopus, seafood stew, bronze. Waitress gave great advice for a red wine. Coffee and port was were also delicious. We will be back.

Yelp
In terms of how I review, food is the more important than the atmosphere. The food doesn't deserve a star IMO. I'm Greek and this isn't close to being good Greek food. It's WAY overpriced, often greasy and usually overcooked. Most of the pricey dishes don't even have a side. I ordered fish a few weeks ago, around 40$ for the dish, didn't come with a side. 40$ for a 4 oz piece of fish, I'd rather cook at home. Atmosphere is wonderful no issues with that. But again, restaurant...food over atmosphere. Fix the food and we will be back

Yelp
First, the ambiance and space itself is stunning. Love the outdoor area. It's definitely a ritzy crowd, I'm assuming Wrightsville Beach crowd. Definitely not typical Eastern NC crowd. We ate here twice. First young server was really nice and pleasant. The second time, the server was extremely pushy. He really wouldn't take no for an answer if we refused to order more drinks or apps. He was definitely on a mission to run up our bill. He won't be here long though because he said he's going across the street soon to work at the new steak house. Speaking of the bill, I will say, the food here is delicious, however it is simply unaffordable to come here frequently. Spent around $200 for two people each time here. Just don't think Greek food should cost that much. It's a nice place and I love the atmosphere and the food, I just find the prices too high, but maybe the WB crowd doesn't mind that.

Yelp
Service was very good. Prices seemed slightly higher than I would have liked for what we got. We had three mains and a bunch of apps. The clear winner was the salmon. Beautiful presentation and very good. Second was the lamb shank, but not overwhelming. The bust was the lemon pasta. Pretty much tasteless and WAY overpriced. Overall I don't think I can recommend this place, although one of my dining mates disagrees

Yelp
Oh boy, this gem did not disappoint! My friend brought me to Kipos for a girls night out while I was in town and we had a blast! The drinks, food, and atmosphere were top notch!

Yelp
This was my second visit to Kipos and everything was as delicious as the first. I enjoyed the chance to try several more dishes and everything truly was prepared to perfection. The service was fabulous, our waitress was helpful with suggestions and attentive to our experience, even when we had a noisy group gathering to our left side (our table was by the bar) at the end of our stay. The stand out items we tried were the taramosalata, the summer squash, and the fresh catch of the day (prepared/ finished table side). While prices are a bit high for the portions of some dishes, it is nice to know you can trust the quality and flavor of the food will be incredible. The extensive wine selection adds to the experience for a chance to pair to whichever menu items you choose. The desserts were a lovely mix of options and my dining partner enjoyed the perfectly brewed espresso to pair with our cheesecake to round out the meal. For an upscale dining spot with great service and high quality food, I'd recommend visiting Kipos and sharing plates for a fabulous a taste of delicious Mediterranean fare.

Yelp
We dined here on NYE. Attractive restaurant and it festive for the occasion. The spreads are good, the eggplant and the yellow split pea dip were excellent. The main courses were pretty good , but the portions were unusually small. The bottom line in MHO is that they are Thayeare pricey for what you get. My olive oil cake was served cold, which i believe took away from the taste. The baklava cheesecake was very good. One more point, the Smokey taste on the prawns, while good, was overpowering.

Yelp
There was a lot of hype about this place. It's beautifully decorated and the staff is excellent. The vegetarian options are sorely lacking. There's salad and one pasta entree and a few dips for apps. In this day and age, restaurants need to do better. We got there early - around 5:15. It was a long meal and we were there for over 2 hours and the place had filled up. It got crowded and really loud and the music was way too loud that between the music and the people, it was impossible to have a conversation. Food was good. Server was helpful but it was just not a pleasant experience not being able to talk to our party and half our table basically had one entree option. Mediterranean food is full of beans and eggplant. They have to do better to accommodate non meat based diets. Why no veggie moussaka version? Why no eggplant entree? I'll be back for outside dining only if they make menu updates.

Yelp
WOW do not miss this! First they did a fantastic job remodeling. It's bright with nice lighting (it had gotten very dark and run down). The food and service was exceptional. This is a spot that will always be on our list while visiting Wrightsville Beach. It's not cheap but the quality of the food and portions make it worth it. Make reservations or go early they were busy and will likely get even more popular.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! The decor and ambiance was so wonderful. The service was really great! And the menu was out of this world. So many things I wanted to try. I had the salmon and it was delicious! I love that they had gf vegetarian and vegan symbols to make life easier for someone with dietary restrictions. Thank you for including that! And thank you for a great experience!

Yelp
We had the zucchini, which was very good, lightly breaded with an accompanying sauce. For dinner we had the Bronzino cooked perfect and deboned at the table by our waiter Dan. He was personable and very attentive. Nice all the way around, decor, service and food quality.

Yelp
On our latest visit (May 2024) I had the bass. It was amazing. We sat outside in the garden which was lovely. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks from the bar were very good. The only downside was the sourdough (?) bread. It didn't taste like sourdough and the char on it didn't help. All in all I would go again.

Yelp
Had dinner for my wife's birthday. Service food and ambiance were great. Had a larger party of 10.
