Everything is expensive in this plaza... I think it is just fake hype..so that's why may be so many spaces are Vacant still. The maintenance, parking overview is good, but only drawback is damn expensive..need to work on reducing the price structure

Highly recommend the QFC bar, Q20, especially on a nice sunny day. Fun to sit outside, enjoy 20oz micro brews on tap at a reasonable price, and soak up the scenery. They allow you to bring in any food you like from QFC and surrounding restaurants. Very casual and social atmosphere. Sports on TV as well. Servers are super nice and on top of things.

When we first heard about this new development, we were very excited as it seemed this plaza would bring more modern shops, but surprisingly; this place didn’t get much of traction. In comparison. Totem lake village which opened almost around the same time I’m not so premium location as Urban got a lot more attention from residence and businesses.. except for Seattle Coffee Gear and Shake Shack, the shops are not very known.

It’s a very good place to hang around with the children, family and friends. There are good places to eat and restaurants are there where you can enjoy their music and eat your favorite food and drinks. Shake shack is a very good place where you can get burgers made up of fresh organic meat products and chicken.

Salon Republic, QFC and various coffee shops are my favorite. This plaza has 4 hrs free parking plus EV charging station. A splash park for kids, playground and a short walk to the library.

Nice new modern live, work and shopping area. Great place to grab something to eat and sit outside and enjoy the sun ☀️

Lots of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops! They have fountains during summer season and even provide towels! Almost every Saturday from December 27 you can have a photo with Santa, or attend other activities. I attached photo with Santa’s agenda 😉

Love hanging out here. There’s a QFC, shake shake, restaurants and play areas for kids. The splash pad is amazing while you order a burger.

Yelp
Kirkland urban can be accessed from the street side, or the little downtown shopping area side as well. I am giving this little study/office/coffee shop area five stars for a nice little spot to sit down with your computer and get productive. It has unique seating, and a very quiet atmosphere, and lots of nice plans. The bathrooms are also accessible if you ask for a code from the coffee shop.

Yelp
This is one of those places that makes me want to live in Kirkland! I went here for an event. There's a bunch of restaurants and cafes around. There's also the Lounge by TopGolf, where you can have drinks and snacks and play virtual games. I won't mind driving here from Renton to hangout with friends and walk around or just chill!

Yelp
Work. Eat. Live. Shop. Is the tag line for the Kirkland Urban Plaza. Another large and growing development that as it's line describes an all inclusive place that for a premium cost you have almost everything you need right outside your door or in the neighborhood. I frequent Urban Plaza to go to the QFC for a worksite. It's a nice looking plaza that features a brewing tap room, indoor golf with more incoming including a Sushi restaurant and Tea room. If your earnings are far beyond modest the Uptown apartments can be yours with 1 bedrooms starting at just $2900! There is a park and field just outside of the Plaza for a stroll alongside the working, eating, living and shopping you may be doing. As of this review there is a lot of construction going on so I'm sure it will look much better when it's all done. For the time being , it is a nice area that fits right along with the ritzy downtown of Kirkland near Central Way.

Yelp
The last time I visited the area, there were only the Shake Shack and QFC. This will be a review on the basic area. The entire area is relatively compact. You don't have to go too far in order to touch on basically everything even with the places that have yet to be open and will be re-open. Because Urban incorporates an apartment complex, there is a bit of traffic for the garage so you have to be mindful when crossing the street. It was relatively easy to navigate to and through the complex. There was a mini map/guide through one of the windows on site but since the area is small I don't think they emphasized on it as they would for a more spread out facility. There were two "entrances" to get most of the stores the path near the Shake Shack (Peter Kirk Ln). and the other side (urban plaza/5th off central way). Not too hard but again, be mindful of cars. Though due to construction, some car paths were cut off. It was great to see notice of the weekly food drive (on Thursdays) in the main area near the ShakeShack. I don't recall any seating that wasn't associated with a particular restaurant or store, so I would wait til you find a place to find an open seat. The restaurants I went to did not have their own restrooms on site or least public ones. Instead, there were general bathrooms available in the Kirkland Urban. The restrooms I went to were on the second floor. There were ones for by gender, unisex ones and also one specifically for construction workers on site. The unisex one I went to was relatively clean and I was pleasantly surprised that they had free dispensers for tampons and pads at the time. So great for those emergencies Overall, I can see myself visiting if I have a specific need (Shake Shack) or I am just in the general Downtown Kirkland area. It is basically a hop and a skip away from the transit center

Yelp
Parking is confusing AF. We parked in overflow retail parking and every single door leading to elevator or stairs were locked. Finally found one stair I can go up through but it was locked on the way back in. I have no idea how to park here without the hassle of getting in and out of the parking garage. First time back since before the renovation when purple and Tim's seafood was there. Likely my last as there are plenty of other gourmet restaurants and shops that have friendlier parking setup. Very unfortunate since we live near by and frequently shop and dine in Kirkland.

Yelp
Ridiculously designed Plaza for entry and exit with a vehicle. Also, parking is very confusing. If you're in a car, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere because none of the shops here are worth the hassle.

Yelp
This new establishment is definitely a tribute to downtown Kirkland! Various businesses for different styles of dining and a decent grocery store as well. There is an outdoor fountain area that my kids could have played in all day.... And guess what??? They provide TOWELS!!?? There was a little cart with dry white towels and laundry bins for used ones... It felt like a hotel or some kind of fancy resort! We hope to visit again very soon!

Yelp
hello urban plaza qfc there used to be a qfc near my home, alas the next renter turned out to be an grocery outlet, which i don't do because they don't have a goodtogo and package service counter like qfc. thank you for opening up here inside the urban plaza. its nice to new faces each morning for work! (free parking for 4 hrs) and a sur la table 5 min away!

Yelp
Kirkland Urban is still in its growing pains, having opened its first stores maybe a year ago. Some shops are opened, some shops have delayed opening due to COVID-19. Part two of the construction is still in progress including the movie theater. Some of the housing are occupied while Google is still building up their next offices. The current central focal point is just outside of QFC and Shake Shack, with some outdoor seating and a play fountain that changes colors at night. There is an abundance of parking underneath at the moment. I'm sure things will change when every commercial, residential, and businesses are opened. Officially, they will institute validated parking. As of now, the gates are left open, especially after COVID-19 shutdown. There will continue to be lots of complaints from long term residents accustomed to the old Kirkland Park Place, which was smaller, more approachable, with street level parking. I'm more of the variety that embrace new things to explore and consider Kirkland Urban to be a good improvement for the neighborhood.

Yelp
Kirkland Urban is going to be an awesome place to visit, shop, and eat. Especially once the rest of the stores open. I think it's great that it's not just a bunch of "box" stores. Hosting local businesses such as Mud Bay, Evergreens, and coming soon Chainline Brewing, Dough Zone, Cafe Ladro and more. I can't wait!! I love the new QFC, and who doesn't like Shake Shack. The new Lounge by Topgolf is a blast to eat and play at. Parking is convenient with the parking garage, and it seems like most if not all the shops validate for parking which is awesome. I hope they get the new tenants opening up quick so I have more reasons to come back.

Yelp
So they have trash recepticals for both trash and recycling but every time the collect both bins they combine them. Every single time. I asked one of the custodians and they said the management does not give them separate bins. So the whole recycling thing here is a total sham. What a shame.

Yelp
I love the new QFC at Kirkland Urban! Feels like an experience rather than just shopping. Over the holidays, we enjoyed taking part in the festivities for kids! Music, entertainment and crafts made it really fun to bring the whole family. Super "dog friendly" as well!

Andrea S.

Yelp
Do NOT-- and I mean DO NOT-- lose your parking ticket. It doesn't matter if you popped in to a store for 15 minutes, have your receipt, and searched the whole darn shopping center for the dropped ticket. Lost ticket= $35! That one hurt. Think of all that $35 could have been! The joy you could have had together! The memories! The actual food, not frustration! Passing it along so you don't suffer the same way.

Yelp
When Kirkland Urban QFC first opened the need to use a validated parking stub to get out of the garage threw me and I screwed up immediately and had to pay $5. I learned fast. Today my car developed a black hole that swallowed the tiny parking stub before I even got out of the car. I looked EVERYWHERE! I looked with a flashlight on hands and knees but no stub. The trouble is that if you lose a stub now it will cost you $35!! I think that's more than a street parking ticket! The is such an egregious sum to pay for losing a tiny stub just cuz I went to the grocery store IMO. For those of you unaware the rate is now $35 this post is for you. I have doubts I will be able to get this forgiven or adjusted. It has left me feeling extremely negative towards the QFC which is simply Kroger Fred Meyer in better clothes anyway altho they charge like you're at Metropolitan Market. As it is most of the time they're out of at least one non-specialty item or more each time I go which means I have to shop at other grocery stores too just to get what I need. Bad public relations I feel for a grocery store to treat it's patrons so punitively over a lost stub.

Yelp
Weekend fun for the whole family ....This holiday season my family had a blast at Kirkland Urban. From the last Saturday of November up to the weekend before Christmas they held free events with Santa, live music, face painting, balloons, crafts and more. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Thank you Kirkland Urban for such a good time.

Marilyn C.

Yelp
Thank you for coming to the neighborhood! Shake Shack!! The new QFC is the neighborhoods Disneyland for adults. So excited for all the new shops.

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
WOW! Having lived in Kirkland for over 10 years, this is the perfect addition to the downtown area that has felt a little dated for the past few years. The center is the perfect place to spend a morning or afternoon with the kids, especially in the summer when the fountains are on. Park, Shake Shack, splash pad, followed up with with a glass of wine at QFC sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday for the whole family. More stores are opening before Summer so should be able to do something different every weekend. There was a Winterfest event this past December that was super kid friendly in a heated tent! We also love having a parking garage where we always know there will be a spot for us. The days of searching for parking in DT Kirkland are over!

Yelp
This place is so convenient for me. There are lots of restaurants, some are Soi, Shake Shack, etc. Soi is temporarily closed is what I heard until next year (2021) or something like that. There is also Dough Zone coming soon, which I can't wait for and QFC is also in the Kirkland Urban. All of the places inside of the stores and outside is clean and organized. There is a parking garage too, also there is a useful charging station for Tesla's and electric vehicles. Would recommend;)

Yelp
Suburban vertical sprawl, no street parking, mall cops who won't let customers park at the street level "because of the fire marshall," and intersections that make absolutely no sense. Kirkland Urban has it all, except for the old movie theater which will be dearly missed.
