I had such a great experience at Kiss My Grits! Our waitress, Nay, was amazing, friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I had the salmon and grits, and my mom had the catfish and grits both were seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. We also tried the butter pecan and sweet potato bread pudding, and it was SO good! We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Lovely quaint black owned place. Service was great. Our waitress Nay was very courteous and attentive. The oxtails could have been braised awhile longer and the collards dud have a very smoky flavor- the items were good but I will stick to breakfast foods the next time I come back. The grits were delicious! Come visit so they need a bigger building!!!

For my meal, I ordered the Kiss My Grits Breakfast, which included creamy grits, perfectly cooked eggs, and my choice of meat. To make it even better, I added a side of pancakes topped with fresh fruit — fluffy, sweet, and full of flavor in every bite. My spouse went with a true Southern spread: crispy fried chicken wings, mac and cheese, yams, and collard greens. Each dish was seasoned just right, balanced with soul and comfort, and together it made for one of the most satisfying meals we’ve had in a long time. Special recognition goes to Head Chef Rasul York, who not only oversees the kitchen but ensures excellence in customer service, food quality, and overall dining experience. His presence and leadership are felt in every detail, from the flavors on the plate to the welcoming energy of the restaurant. I rarely give out perfect stars, but this restaurant exceeded every expectation I had. Without question, The Kiss My Grits is a 10/10 — a must-visit spot that I’ll gladly return to and recommend to anyone looking for a true culinary and hospitality experience.

Celebrated my brother’s birthday here and wow 🤩 can’t believe this gem is so close to our subdivision! Didn’t even realize it’s run by award-winning Chef Rasul and his gorgeous wife. The vibes were super warm and welcoming, and our waiter Deon was amazing. We had the oxtail, shrimp & grits croquettes, and French toast… all I can say is 🔥🔥🔥. Everything was so good. So happy to have food like this right in our neighborhood 🙌🏾✨ Definitely coming back

This was our first time visiting Kiss My Gritz Breakfast House and the Food... 10, Service... 10, Atomsphere... 10. The staff, including the owners, even sang Happy Birthday to our daughter. Our waitress, Nay, was such a pleasure. She answered our questions about the menu, gave us recommendations, and was quick and accurate in taking our orders. We will definitely be returning!

Great customer service, the staff was very friendly and communicated well!! All of the food was good and great portion sizes!! I will definitely be back. Glad to have a brunch spot close to my house!!

May was my server and her customer service is amazing. I’m at the owners and they are just wonderful. The food is a top 10 and the settings in the restaurant is very comfortable and a great home you feel. A place you must try.

I had the fried chicken, collards, and Mac and cheese.....everything was . The chicken was so crispy and seasoned perfectly!!!! Greens needed no hotsauce. Mac and cheese was creamy and seasoned.

Fairburn is really stepping up with the dining options! I stopped by Kiss My Gritz for a late breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. It was super busy when I arrived, but I was seated quickly. The restaurant was clean and bright which made for a great dining experience. The servers were nice and didn't make me feel rushed to order or eat despite how busy they were. I got a breakfast plate which as really tasty and worth the price. I had to knock a star off for the wait times. The restaurant was busy and they may have been understaffed, but it's worth mentioning that I waited a bit for service and food. I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't mind. I definitely will be returning the next time I'm in the area.

My go to breakfast meal is always an omelette and this place was the closest restaurant at the time. Pleasantly surprised, Black owned and the food was not bad at all. My only complaint was the veggies on the omelette were not cooked. Would have preferred them to be sautéed a little. Over all the place was good and the waiter recommended we try the beignets, I'm not a sweets person myself however they were good.

Everything went well the service was good wait time 30 minutes. Food was hot and brought out in a timely manor. I would return. Got the bread pudding to go! $$

Pricey but good. I'm not sure why there isn't an option on the menu that offers pancakes, eggs & a choice or protein. That's standard for a breakfast/brunch place. I did not see that on the menu, correct me if I'm wrong? $12 for PANCAKES.. $4 for eggs.. $3.50 for the to go order service fee. lol $21 for pancakes and eggs... it is good but idk if it's $21good. Should offer a meal at that price ..protein included. But your business, your rules. Just food for thought.

For the amount of time it took to get my food, i would've thought it would've been better in my opinion. I had waffles that felt like i was cutting into a well done steak, breakfast potatoes were greasy and lacked flavor. Only good thing I will say is the pancakes! We only seen our server 2 times outta the whole visit. The French toast tasted like bland with powdered sugar on top, no flavor!! The chef should be ashamed.

What a wonderful breakfast we had. We enjoyed every morsel and the attentive service. Meeting Chef was a highlight as well

Atmosphere was wonderful staff was wonderful the prices were oh my God it was $15 about for biscuits and gravy and you didn't even have sausage gravy you had gravy with big chunks of chicken throat on it the plate look very appetizing it was a very large portion of many biscuits and no gravy hardly can't believe this I could have went to Bojangles and racked up for less than $4 very overpriced and the food was mediocre but the service was spectacular the young lady that waited on me was the star of the show go dogs

I would love to give this establishment a good rating, unfortunately I can not. We waited over an hour for our food, when it arrived it was cold. The took it to the back, instead of fixing it again., they warmed it up. I could tell because the same indentations where I initially tasted the food was there. Second the food was just average. Nothing that required me to wait an hour for. I ordered shrimp and grits. The plate simply had grits with 6 shrimp no onions, bell pepper, nothing.

Chicken and waffles cooked to perfection. It's was so good nothing to complain about. Everything was amazing they have all kinds of the nvbi would totally recommend this place over anything for brunch and breakfast. The service was amazing they were nice and have amazing service. The Ambiance looked just like a house breakfast place I came in hungry and walked out full. The drinks were so good too

As we entered the restaurant we were greeted and informed it will be a 5 minute wait (it looked like it was going to be a much longer wait, however it wasn't). We were seated and ordered (see photos below). The food was delicious. The fish and grits were perfectly seasoned and crunchy in all the right places. The buttermilk biscuit was soft. The brazed oxtail was tender, light, sweet and savory. The Mac and cheese was layered in its taste and texture. The collard greens were decent. The kids food was good as well. The kids enjoyed it. My son said the chicken sausage was bussin' (this means good). The only thing I didn't care much for was the lack of service; we had to wait for water refill for a good amount of time and our food was brought out to the table but we still didn't have utensils. Also pricing was more than expected for the amount. We had to ask for utensils. However, I'm not holding that against the restaurant, I will definitely be back because of the taste of the food

When arriving I was greeted as I walked through the door. They had great customer service. The establishment was very nice and clean. Gives a bit classy but hometown vibe. The servers were amazing and pleasant very patient. Everyone came around and checked on me and asked how was everything. My overall experience I came through the week on a Wednesday and it was wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing I will Be back

I came here for breakfast and I enjoyed the peaceful of the music , vibes and professionalism of the entire staff. This black owned business is my neighborhood and I will continue to support.

It's always good to see a new spot in Fairburn that does have really good food. I went after church so I expected a crowd which I was met with however they moved fairly quick. The hostess was pleasant. My server was kind but not attentive. I asked for water, didn't get it and requested no powder sugar on the waffle, which I did get. Aside of that the food was great! I ordered chicken and waffles and a side of gritz. The portions were smaller than I expected but the quality was good. I will be back to try other things on the menu.

Chef's kiss! Food. Service. Ambiance. Vibe. All 10 out of 10! I ordered the fried snapper and grits and my husband ordered the lamb chops and grits. Every bite was delicious! So glad to have them in the area! We will be regulars!

This was the best breakfast I have ever had in my life the food was all amazing the beignets were amazing so was the waffle and the drinks the service was hands down so nice and she complimented me she was smiling and lively it was good vibes everyone was laughing and having fun.

I was really excited to see Kiss My Gritz open in Fairburn and wanted to support it. Unfortunately, both of my attempts to dine here were disappointing. On my first visit, the doors were locked even though the hours and sign clearly said they were open. I decided to give them another chance and returned this past Sunday with my family for brunch. What aggravated me most this time was the hostess. From the start, she seemed inexperienced and not very attentive. She put us on a waiting list, said there were only two parties ahead of us, yet I saw three booths sitting open. After 15 minutes, I asked if we'd be seated soon, and without even checking, she flatly replied that it would be another 20 minutes. I didn't want to argue, so we left. Less than a minute later before we even reached the traffic light, I received a text saying our table was ready. The lack of professionalism and courtesy was really disappointing. With how long Kiss My Gritz has been open, the owners should anticipate a Sunday brunch crowd and ensure the front-of-house is run by a more professional hostess. I also wish the owners would be more attentive to what's happening in their restaurant. I truly hope things improve because this community deserves a thriving, well-run restaurant, and I would love to support Kiss My Gritz if the service experience matches the promise.

The service was good and the food was good. The restaurant is the right size and the staff was very personable. There are some unique items in the menu. I recommend you try something different than you wouldn't normally order

Service was no where near what it should be. I've gotten better service going through a drive through. Our waitress who never told us her name? Was very rude. After waiting about 45 mins for 4 people's food, 2 of which were wrong. We never saw our waitress we had to flag down others to get our food corrected. As far as I'm concerned to have mandatory 18% gratuity is kind of ridiculous if you're not going to hold a standard.

The food was horrible.The service was terrible.The food was cold paid twenty five dollars for snapper, and it was water clogged in a filet.I will never give them a thumbs up.Please don't go there unless you high.And hungry, not a good place to eat at

On November 26, 2025, my experience at Kiss My Grits was disappointing due to the subpar service and food quality. Upon entering the establishment, I noticed its small size and the limited number of patrons, which led me to expect prompt and attentive service. However, after placing our orders, we were served food that was far from satisfactory; my oxtails were lukewarm, and the rice was undercooked. My colleagues also received cold meals, which compounded our dissatisfaction. When we requested the check, the server failed to return, prompting us to leave the restaurant without paying, not out of malice, but due to the excessive wait time. As we reached our car, the server hurried outside, accusing us of not paying, despite our willingness to settle the bill. The situation escalated when the owner intervened, making an inappropriate remark about our financial situation upon entering the restaurant. This comment was not only unfounded but also deeply upsetting, as I had indeed paid for my meal. Overall, I cannot recommend this establishment due to the poor service and the unprofessional behavior exhibited by some staff members.
