The Best Matcha Lattes In San Francisco - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Kiss of Matcha (with another location in Chinatown) is one of our favorite places to get soft serve in the city, but their matcha lattes—all 12 versions of them—shouldn’t be ignored. We always stay classic and get the Uji latte that’s just freshly whisked matcha over milk. For a less intense version, try the matcha cream latte that’s sweeter and made with extra cream (obviously)." - julia chen 1, patrick wong

The Best Soft Serve In San Francisco - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The high-quality matcha soft serve at Kiss Of Matcha in the Richmond is thick enough to hold upside down. It’s a wonderful gravitational feat, pulled off by one of our favorite soft serves in the city. Get here after dinner nearby—or anytime not-too-sweet dessert calls—for a cup of this creamy perfection. Their Kiss Of Matcha parfait arrives dripping with sticky matcha syrup and decorated with mochi, brown sugar jelly, and a croffle. This counter-service spot is tiny—like, walk across the entire space in five steps tiny—but you’re here to inhale every last bit of ice cream at rapid speed, and not to kick up your feet and stay for hours." - julia chen 1, lani conway, patrick wong

The Best Asian Dessert Spots In SF - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The Richmond Japanese dessert cafe (with another location in Chinatown) serves creamy soft serve thick enough you could probably shave with it. A large portion of their menu is dedicated to solid tea and coffee-based lattes, but if you’ve left without ice cream, you’ve entirely missed the point. There’s a small selection at Kiss of Matcha with just three flavors (and no swirls), but there’s no going wrong. And for those who’d like more than a waffle cone, opt for a soft serve sundae, which comes in a tall plastic cup layered with cornflakes, matcha cake bites, and two types of mochi." - julia chen 1, patrick wong, ricky rodriguez

Cozy little cafe that puts out some tasty treats. We barely made it in... We arrived 10 minutes before they closed, the lady behind the counter straight up said we're not making drinks anymore because we close in a few minutes. Completely understandable... Not going to fault her, especially since there was nobody around and the place was empty. Looked like they were ready to close; the place was cleaned up and the chairs were put upside down on the bar. Alas, they sold out of the viral Matcha Bamboo Parfait (which is what i specifically came here for) & the Chocolate Soft Serve. Bummer! So, I asked if the Parfait was available. She said it was...bingoi! Dessert for the evening! #Sugar ~ Kiss of Matcha Parfait - 5/5 This Parfait had a bit of everything! Layered with red beans, brown sugar jelly, corn flakes. Matcha cake. Shiratama Mochi. Warabi Mochi, Croffle and topped off with Matcha Ice Cream! YAAASSSS!! Lots of sugar and carbs...it can be a bit challenging to finish after a hearty meal. I could taste the quality of Matcha used. Just brilliant! We did get a chance to sample the Ube soft serve...we thought it was terrible though. It tasted artificial and chalky and grainy, like it was made from powder. Good thing I opted for the Matcha swirl for the Parfait. Maybe the Ube was off? I just need to return and try it again, along with other items on the menu.

Google
I got the uji matcha latte and it was decent, I got regular ice and sweetness and it wasn’t too sweet. Matcha was smooth and not grainy, not sure what they use. Decent for a store bought matcha, slightly astringent though

Google
Definitely arguably the best matcha shop in the bay area! The matcha soft serve was very good. It was strong and concentrated. Many places are cheap with their matcha. It may a little too heavy on the matcha for many people, but I think it is great! It would be perfect, for my taste, if it they used a tad bit less matcha to balance the intensity and creaminess. The hojicha strawberry Matcha with Hojicha cream was good. The hojicha probably was not strong enough or maybe it did not paired well in contrast with the strawberry purée. But I would much much prefer the Matcha strawberry latte. I believe the Matcha strawberry latte is arguably the best in the bay area. The Matcha was strong, but perfectly balanced with the milk. The strawberry purée was apparent, and it paired nicely with the contrast of the bitterness of the Matcha.

Google
WOW! This place knows how to do matcha!! Their azuki bean matcha latte was strong and bitter, slightly sweet, and very creamy. And of course the soybean powdered croffle (croissant + waffle) was delicious, and the matcha coated mochi-jelly was SO good. The inside of this place was really itty bitty, but they had seating by the window (no bathroom, but the library nearby has one). The service was nice and fast, and the staff was so friendly. The prices were a bit high, but you get what you pay for! They also had dairy free milks, I got my matcha latte with oat milk.

Google
My friend and I went here and another place in the Mission to compare Matcha's and Hojicha's and we both agree that we like Kiss of Matcha better. This is our new spot whenever we meet in the City now. Highly recommend the Hojicha. Excellent nutty flavor.

Google
They are not greedy with their matcha! Every item with matcha is made with all the matcha you'll ever need. The line is usually long but orders don't take long to fulfill. The spot is in a cozy hole in the wall but still decorated aesthetically. Will visit again when in the area.

Google
Strong matcha. Will turn on the afterburner for a while. If you are lactose sensitive, no matcha ice cream for you. No bathrooms near by. Neighborhood is kind of dumpy.

Google
I've gotten two Too Good to Go orders from this place. The first time was disappointing since I didn't think we got a decent deal (I forgot to take photos). However, the taste was pretty decent so I tried again (Sep'24) and it was great! We got three cups of soft serve - I liked the Matcha & Red Bean cup. I didn't like the Ube & Sesame flavor but my partner thought it was fine. If I crave any matcha items, this place will hit the spot!

Zhenzi H.

Yelp
Unironically the richest tasting matcha I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. The aesthetic is also great on the inside.

Yelp
Kiss of Matcha is a small little shop on Clement Street known for their wide selection of matcha drinks, matcha soft serve, and even warabi mochi. Their selection is almost overwhelming but hopefully you can find something that will suit your palate. There are two kiosks as well as a cashier available if you want to order at the counter. Again, the store front is pretty small so it can get loud and theres not much room for indoor seating. It's more of a grab and go kind of place. Matcha cream latte- This drink ended up ranking pretty high on my favorite matcha drinks in the Bay. This drink is a little bit more rich than your average matcha latte so it truly felt like an indulgence. The matcha is whisked until incredibly smooth and almost fluffy in texture. The flavor can be described as earthy with just light notes of bitterness and a very subtle umami finish. I ordered less ice (which wasn't recommended on the kiosk) since it was a chilly SF day and I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I was feeling quite cold myself. I loved the matcha so much I took home a small bag of matcha powder with me. It was pricey for the amount but worth splurging once in a while. The drink/dessert prices are pretty average for SF prices and the quality of the drink seems fair at the price point. You can expect to spend about $6-$7 on a drink here. Kiss of Matcha is a great option if you're a matcha lover and looking for a light snack or refreshing drink. Service is fast and there weren't any lines when I visited on a weekend morning.

Yelp
Yo! KISS OF MATCHAAAAAA AH! Get you matcha fix here and some excellent desserts! The croffle is great for a quick bite or if you crave a drink, I got the Hojicha frappe.. My god, thinking about it gets your taste buds watering... Hah! Flavors are really on point, I have not gotten one drink where I was disappointed or felt like there could have been anything missing. If you want something crazy, that parfait looks hella good! Will need to try that next time! The vibe inside is very calming, the smell of tea will hit you in the face with a crazy impact like a mother throws a sandal in Yo face for not getting good grade for Yo test... Very impactful and stunning! Thank you KISS OF MATCHA!

Yelp
Oh so good. We grabbed a drink before heading to the museum. Kiss of Matcha has indeed good matcha. Tiny tiny shop. To the point where some customers were waiting outside for the kiosks inside to free up (there were only 5 people in the store). After placing our orders, they were ready within minutes. Staff are friendly and professional. MATCHA MARSHMALLOW LATTE (light sugar, oat milk): Being in a lidded cup, I didn't observe the marshmallows and assumed they melted away as I sipped away through the night. Yummy! Rich, smooth matcha and bits of creamy marshmallow in between. My partner's Matcha Ube Latte was delightful. Sweet and aromatic without overpowering the matcha earthiness. NOTE: They do not serve boba! The topping! I know, I know-- I should know not expect boba at all tea shops. But I just thought I'd mention. Not an issue just an observation :P

Yelp
Very small spot with a few counter seats. It's pretty much a Togo type of dessert place. The matcha soft serve is pretty big and I wished I only ordered one to share. We couldn't finish it. The flavor was rich and deep. They do drizzle honey on top but I wasn't a huge fan of that. Wish there was an option to remove. The workers looked miserable and didn't seem too friendly. I knocked it down a few stars because it seemed like half of the menu was out of stock and if you look at the paper sign, it says some items are only available at the other location now that it's out of stock. Why not remove those items from your menu if you don't plan on restocking?

Yelp
First tried Kiss of Matcha a few years ago and wasn't really a fan but glad that I gave it a second shot. The Matcha Cream Latte was good! Definitely sweeter and creamier than the standard matcha latte, so it's great for someone prefers their matcha on the sweeter side. Would definitely come back to try their other drinks!

Yelp
I'm not easily hyped on drinks but oh, boy! Kiss of Matcha is an easy 5/5. The shop is small - to go only, and there's often a line but they're pretty efficient. You can order on 1 of 2 kiosks, or order with a staff member. They definitely cram on your order in the back as fast as they can, yet they don't sacrifice quality. Everything is made to order. I tried their black sesame, matcha, chocolate soft serve lattes and they were all delish. The matcha is strong and super high quality. You can see them making it from bright green, ceremonial grade powder. Their ice cream and mochi desserts are super fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. Staff is nice and despite the long line, they got me a big bag of ice to keep my stuff cold on my long drive home. I'll be back!

Yelp
I really like the items we got from Kiss of Matcha. We got 2 drinks and a icecream to share for our family of 4. Sugar overload though.... In a delicious way! Can't wait to go back. Line was very long for ordering though. That's the only complaint.

Yelp
This place is tiny! I came with my husband and 4 kids and we could hardly fit into the space. We ordered via the kiosk and got: 1) Ube matcha latte-ube flavor was so subtle, it got lost in the drink-could hardly distinguish it after the first 2 sips 2) Matcha cream latte-very smooth and delicious 3) Mixed soft swirl with vanilla and matcha-loved it, very creamy and refreshing 4) Kiss of Matcha parfait-I enjoyed this a lot but there was almost too many things going on in this one parfait. The corn flakes, jelly and the two types of mochi were my favorites. The red bean was overkill. I could do without the croffle and I found the matcha cake to be dry. This is a best shared with someone because it's just too much for one person.

Yelp
Best matcha latte and soft serve I've had in the city! Matcha is forest green. I usually get iced matcha latte with soy milk (less milk) and 25% sweet - it's perfection! Also their matcha soft serve is incredible - matcha forward and mildly sweet. Having tried a bunch of matcha soft serves in the city, if you like ones that aren't too sweet, this place is hard to beat.
google avatar

Yelp
Really high quality matcha! I've found myself disappointed in most matcha places I've been to recently, but this place hit the mark. I got the Kiss of Matcha latte, which is a matcha latte mixed with brown sugar syrup and soy powder. The flavors complimented the matcha nicely, though I would recommend adjusting the sweetness. I usually like my drinks pretty sweet but still would have preferred to do 75% sweetness here. Keep in mind that the store is very small, so if you're looking for a place to sit and drink there is not much seating.

Yelp
Doesn't the name sound like a noir thriller where Scarlett Johansson plays a seductive soldier of fortune responsible for the shipment of matcha to a remote village of desperately thirsty boba drinkers ruled by a self-entitled queen played with icy disdain by Blake Lively? I can even hear Seal sing the moody theme song over the big cat fight between Scarlett and Blake while Ryan Reynolds sniggers from his throne. In the meantime, there's this compact and sparse but pleasing shop with quite a robust menu of matcha lattes (they offer an astounding twelve!), croffles, soft serve ice cream in cones or cups, and assorted beverages and floats. I ordered the $6.17 Matcha Soft Serve in a Cup, a generously creamy confection with the matcha flavor amped up by a liberal sprinkling of powder (Photo 4). Scarlett would approve. SOFT SERVE - 4 stars...tasty matcha creaminess AMBIANCE - 4 stars...clean and compact shop SERVICE - 4 stars...quietly efficient TOTAL - 4 stars..,can't wait for the movie version RELATED - Exploring the Richmond? Yelp
Stopped by this matcha spot and got an oat milk matcha latte -- so good! The matcha was smooth and not too bitter, and the oat milk made it extra creamy without feeling heavy. It also had a chalky taste to it which I like. The place has a chill vibe too, perfect for grabbing a drink and relaxing for a bit. Definitely coming back to try more!

Yelp
Got a too good to go order here. Got my order super quick and they made it in real time. For ~8 bucks I got 3 huge soft serve cups which is a great deal. Really too much to eat at once, so I put the rest in the freezer and it froze ok. Good, strong but not overwhelming matcha flavor and not too sweet! Would order regularly and through too good to go again.

Yelp
Small matcha shop tucked away on the popular Clement Street. There are 2 kiosks to order on and one register in the front, but it can still get pretty busy with a longer wait time. Matcha latte is solid- they use a premade matcha concentrate for the drinks making it pretty strong and not too sweet. You can also pick the type of milk you want. Also ordered their mochi (matcha and soybean powder) to go- very fresh, bouncy, and chewy. Staff is friendly and accommodating, would visit again!

Yelp
I was craving a matcha parfait so I found Kiss of Matcha on Yelp and it was close by from where we were. The shop is a bit small with a few seating on the window and a bench outside while you wait for your order. When you get in, there are two ordering pad where you can place the order from. After I ordered my matcha parfait I was told that the matcha machine was broken and was asked if I wanted a different flavor ice cream or I could wait 5-10 mins for the matcha machine to be fixed. I really wanted matcha so we waited and thankfully it was fixed after 10 mins. I'm glad I waited because the matcha was sooo good. Also very rich in flavor, definitely woke me up for my drive home. The croffle was a perfect balance of flavor from all the other sweetness. I don't think I couldn't finished the whole thing by myself though. Definitely recommend to share with someone.

Yelp
Good selection- Friendly Trendy Long lines Good taste its worth a visit theres even soft serve

Yelp
All our drinks were sooooo delicious. My Uji Matcha Latte at 50% sweetness was perfect: refreshing, while also creamy and lightly sweet. The matcha flavor was extremely prominent--definitely a fan. Also liked the Hojicha Banana Smoothie; it was odd at first, but the flavors work well together and grew on me. I will say it was not sweet enough though and there was no sweetness alteration option. The soft serve was also really great. Would definitely recommend the swirl, as the matcha soft serve is super potent (in a good way) and the vanilla does wonders for balancing it out with creaminess and sweetness. Overall, had a great experience and would recommend! Also loved they offered free chocolates at the pickup station (':

Yelp
Bc we were taking the bus from Golden Gate back to the hotel in Embarcadero, we had some time so we thought to order ahead and place a pickup order. We didn't realize we had to transfer buses though so we ended up walking like 20ish minutes through a tunnel but unfortunately that meant our drinks were watered down by the time we got there. Even so, we think our drinks were too powdery like it may not have been whisked as thoroughly as we liked so we were not big fans. Hope to come back to give it another chance bc I've heard good things about this place and rlly wanted to like it.

Yelp
I think this is a "must-try" spot in San Francisco. Quality is really good and they have a pookie bear on the cup. So You should come here with ur pookie :) Highly recommend Hojicha latte if you prefer something not too sweet. The flavor is strong and creamy! The store is small and has three seats inside. The store inside is clean and organized, and workers are friendly and serve you fast.
google avatar

Irene C.

Yelp
This is how you do matcha. LEGIT. Strong flavor of high quality matcha. Unfortunately the bamboo cup matcha soft serve was sold out that day. We tried several of their offerings and they were all so good. We showed up in a chilly Friday night after dinner for dessert and there was a line of young college kids. The line went by fast. You can order at the counter or the iPad. The iPad sucks though- slow, not sensitive to the touch so it was hard to click on anything. Service was straight to the point business. No smile or welcome vibes but they were busy I get it.
google avatar

Emily W.

Yelp
Small cute spot with only a few chairs at a bar table. Standing space is pretty limited with space for ~5 people to wait. 1 kiosk and 1 cashier. I got an iced Uji matcha latte. Not the best matcha I've had but I think the effort is there. I personally prefer a smoother matcha but this one was grittier and could've been a bit creamier in my opinion. Drinks were made quickly and employees were nice! Would try their soft serve next time.
google avatar

Anchal A.

Yelp
Got the strawberry matcha and it was so good! The ratio was perfect in my opinion - the matcha was rich and there was enough strawberry that you could taste it through the drink, but it didn't overtake the matcha flavor itself. This spot is tiny so I wouldn't recommend making plans to go hang out there with a friend. Since the presidio is so close by, my friend and I took our drinks there and walked around!
google avatar

Sahana B.

Yelp
This is a great matcha shop in the inner Richmond! We got our drinks super fast even though it was pretty busy in there. This little hole in the wall shop has really cute decor and so many matcha options. We both got the iced kiss of matcha latte and too it was very yummy! If you aren't a fan of the earthier matcha taste, I think this would be a good drink to try there as I thought it was nice a sweet while not being too sweet and I didn't have any bitter taste from the matcha. They definitely have more earthier matcha if that is what you like thought. I'll be back to try their soft serve!
google avatar

Kaela N.

Yelp
A quick matcha run at Kiss of Matcha. Both the soft serve and matcha drinks have a very strong matcha flavor. The matcha may be over powering for people who do not usually drink matcha. Each drink is made with hand whisked matcha powder. Inside there is limited seating (4 stools). Outside there is a bench. Ordered on a kiosk and got our order within 10 minutes.
google avatar

Meiyi Y.

Yelp
The matcha soft serve is amazing! It's smooth and the matcha taste is very strong. The matcha tea is also very earthy. Service is very fast. You can order with the cashier or self-order with a tablet. There is very limited window seating, so definitely not a sit down and eat place.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here after hearing all the buzz--honestly, I should've managed my expectations. The space is extremely tight, which isn't ideal if you're someone who values efficiency and order. There's no counter service; everything runs through a self-serve kiosk. Once you order, you wait around until your name is called or get a text. Functional, but not exactly welcoming. Several menu items were already sold out, which tells me either poor inventory planning or just a lack of preparation for demand. I went with the black sesame Mont Blanc since it was one of the few options still available. Visually, it looked fine. Taste-wise? Not so much. It was overly sweet and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting. I waited about 35 minutes for a single dessert. That kind of delay would be understandable if the product justified it, but it didn't. Overall, it felt like style over substance. Would I come back? Probably not. If you're into aesthetics and don't mind waiting, maybe you'll have a better experience. But if you value time, quality, and consistency, this place might not be it.

Yelp
This has long been a favorite, and I actually would have previously given this a 4.5 or 5. However, I would from my recent visit (7/1) give it a 3.5 stars. Prior to this though, I felt this was one of the best in the city, with high quality matcha -- that balance of slight bitterness with very light astringency, and not too sweet in taste in order to highlight the matcha quality. This last time I visited however, I left wondering if they had changed their matcha brand in light of the recent shortage because it was overly sweet and not at all bitter -- it almost tasted as if I was drinking a matcha that one might order at whole foods.. perhaps one of those pre-sweetened instant powders. It was very unusual for me, since this was a very consistently good place! I would still come back to try again, but now with more hesitancy.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
A small cute spot to pick up a matcha latte or dessert! I got a matcha cream latte and my friend got a Hojicha cream latte and they were both delicious (very smooth and creamy)! Note that the cream lattes are definitely on the sweeter side. The decor is also super cute. There's almost no seating inside though so better to take your order to go.
google avatar

Yelp
If you try anything from kiss of matcha, make it the hojicha frappe! It's honestly one of the best drinks I've ever had. Also, this particular location is much less busy than the one closer to Chinatown, so I recommend this location for faster service. I didn't have the best experience at another location and their customer service reached out to me so I wanted to try them again. I genuinely appreciate good customer service from businesses and I'm glad that I came here. We also sampled the Osaka style croffle which had a very interesting flavor. That's the fun thing about kiss of matcha, I feel like I could come here. Lots of times and always have something new to sample. I'm sure we'll be back for our next taste adventure soon.

Yelp
Beautiful storefront! The ambiance is beautiful inside, it's located right in front of an entrance to China town! I got the Ube Matcha latte with almond milk, it was very thick if you're into that, kind of powder heavy but not super grassy! Honestly, I couldn't really taste the Ube... Very vibrant green matcha and the cup stated their matcha is ceremonial grade which I believe ! I'm not the biggest matcha fan but I can tell it was high quality! If you love matcha, you should try this place! Service was great as well :)
google avatar

Leslie N.

Yelp
very very tiny matcha place but this is a very matcha kiss indeed. This is a to go only place as there is no seating. You can order with the 2 self kiosks or order with the worker. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte which was berry good. You can definitely taste the high quality of the matcha. My friends got the ube matcha, and the matcha cream latte which were both delicious as well. Overall I will be back again, there isn't a place like this in SJ.
google avatar

Ariana M.

Yelp
A solid matcha spot in the city. Personally, I'd prefer a stronger matcha flavor and their drinks tend to run sweet, but I like the variety of drinks that this cafe offers.
google avatar

Caitlyn M.

Yelp
Small matcha drink and dessert place! It's pretty cozy with only a few counter seats so it's mainly a to-go spot but it's popular for a reason. I tried their black sesame soft serve, croffles, and mochi. Everything was great! The soft serve had good black sesame flavor and didn't melt too quickly. I got the kuromitsu kinako croffle which came with a brown sugar syrup and soy bean powder. It was served hot and was delicious! The warabi mochi was also nice and soft

Yelp
*3.5/5* Trying matcha places around the city to find my favorite, and this was pretty good. It's all preferential ~ as I got the matcha latte float ($7-ish) to try both their latte & soft serve, I did enjoy the latte a lot, tho the soft serve I personally prefer less creamy ;-) - but sure many others enjoy the creaminess. The creaminess to me was similar to Maruwa Seicha's soft serve. I recall loving the taste & iciness of Matcha Cafe Maiko's soft serve (over latte), but haven't been in a while. Also got KOM's (12-piece) matcha warabi mochi ($7-ish) which was soft & flavorful. They were placed on an eco-friendly (banana?) leaf which lended the mochi an extra fragrant aroma that did overpower the matcha taste but I didn't mind this too much. Appreciate that they have these snack options. Went on a weekday afternoon. Easy ordering on their website (via Square).
google avatar

Oscar L.

Yelp
Got a classic matcha latte with boba. The matcha latte itself was great, but the boba was a bit too hard and not as sweet as it was the last time I came. Service speed did improve, however. Inside, there's a nice wood shed vibe but very limited seating so it's more of a grab and go situation.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
I came here for the second time recently. They have two kiosks for ordering now. I ordered the Matcha Espresso Latte with oat milk, half sweet. I love matcha and coffee individually, and the combination of them in this drink was decent. After swirling the drink to mix it, I took a sip and could definitely taste the espresso. It was strong, which I liked. The matcha flavor came through in the aftertaste. One thing I really like about Kiss of Matcha is the amount of matcha they use in their drinks - they definitely do not skimp. There was some bitterness from the matcha in the aftertaste. Overall, I felt like the espresso slightly overpowered the matcha.
google avatar

Eugy H.

Yelp
One of my favorite matcha places in the Bay Area! Most places have drinks that are either too watery or have a grainy weird texture, but this place has a strong matcha flavor that's decently/nicely sweetened. I can't speak much for the service or ambiance since I was in-and-out fast but it was a cute place with some (not a lot) seating.

Yelp
Love the matcha here! My absolute favorite is the Sakura latte. I did also try the parfait which came with jelly, red bean, mochi balls, matcha warabi mochi, soft serve, corn flakes, and a delicious waffle that almost had a chewy Croissant consistency. She's pretty hefty, enough to share between 2-3 people. The place itself is pretty tiny, only about 4 counter seats and just enough space to use the kiosk to order. They're often on too good to go but I have yet to snag one of their bags!

Yelp
I came across Kiss of Matcha while wandering Sunset District and was pleasantly surprised! This small unassuming place was just what we needed for refreshments on our walk. There was a bit of a wait but service overall was reasonable. There are small bar stools for seating, but it's more of a grab-and-go kinda spot. Uji Matcha Latte - not overly sweet, perfect strong matcha flavors, nice green color palette Matcha Frappe - cold & refreshing, well-balanced matcha bitter & sweet flavors Loved the drinks we ordered, would definitely get them again. Will be back to try their ube & hojicha creations! Also heard they have some delicious soft-serve too :D

Yelp
Atmosphere Kiss of Matcha has a small, cozy storefront in San Francisco. Despite its size, it gives off a focused, intentional vibe--clearly built for serious matcha lovers. Service was quick and friendly. What I Ordered Matcha Oat Latte They prepare the matcha fresh in-house using a traditional whisk and ceremonial grade matcha, which already puts them ahead of many other places in the Bay Area. The Experience This was definitely one of the better matcha drinks I've had locally. The matcha actually tasted like matcha--grassy, smooth, and not overpowered by milk. It was well-balanced and thoughtfully made. That said, my personal preference leans away from honey as a sweetener in matcha lattes, so I didn't love that aspect of the flavor profile. If I return (and I will), I'd likely try a different drink or request no sweetener. Final Thoughts One extra bonus: they're on Too Good To Go, which makes it an even better deal if you're nearby and want to snag a quality drink or snack. For matcha lovers looking for something authentic and fresh, this is a solid pick. Overall: 4/5

Yelp
All the matcha items were bitter... For reference, I usually just use ceremonial grade matcha with 2% milk (no added sugar). Items: 1) Matcha latte with 50% sweet 2) Matcha Soft Serve in Cup Logistics: -accepts cc & can order on a kiosk -street, metered parking only -has 4 indoor stool seats and 2 seater outside bench

Yelp
I'd drive across the city just for the matcha. They customize orders and sweetness. If you don't like it too sweet, they can adjust. The staff are friendly. They were out of boba at 5:30pm so suggested another choice. You order online or at the kiosk, but the employees still help if you didn't order what you wanted. They are really known for matcha. Yum! Parking isn't too bad on Clement, but you do need to pay for the meters.

Yelp
recommended by a friend and loved it! i like my matcha drinks with a rich and strong matcha taste, and this uji matcha latte exceeded my standards. you can see them handwhisk the matcha through the small window. service was quick and ordering was easy. my friend ordered the affogato and i got to try the mini croffle that came with it and it was SO GOOD. it was crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside. would definitely come back to get another matcha latte as well as order their different croffles ordered: uji matcha latte matcha affogato

Yelp
Love the convenience of ordering on a kiosk. The shop itself is small with only a few bar chairs, so it's pretty much a grab and go place. I ordered a hojicha oat latte with boba and it did not disappoint. The hojicha flavor is strong and am not hoping I don't regret ordering this at noon. The boba itself wasnt the softest, maybe a little undercooked because the middle was hard. The service was great, only waited about 5 minutes. Next time I would skip the boba and try their matcha because thats their best seller! Parking is just metered street parking so it can be tough, but not impossible.

Yelp
As a huge matcha lover, I had high hopes for Kiss of Matcha--but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. I ordered the black sesame and matcha soft serve in a cone, and overall it was underwhelming. Black Sesame - 4/10 The flavor was deeply roasted, almost to the point of bitterness. It overpowered the palate and didn't have that nutty-smooth balance you usually expect. Matcha - 6/10 Light and refreshing, but lacked the rich umami or creaminess I was hoping for. It leaned more icy than creamy, which took away from the soft serve experience. Texture: Both flavors felt more watery and icy than smooth and velvety, which made the cone less enjoyable overall. Overall Thoughts: Sadly, I probably won't be back--even to try the drinks. There are better matcha soft serves in the Bay Area with bolder flavor and better texture. This one just missed the mark for me.

Yelp
One of the worst matcha I have ever had, ordered the ube matcha and it was very grainy, tasted like literal dirt, the service was nice and the ambiance is good but definitely don't get the ube matcha
