Phoenix’s Best Mexican Restaurants | Eater Phoenix

"Charcoal‑grilled chicken (pollo al carbón) is a rite of passage among iconic Mexican dishes. While it’s common throughout Mexico, Phoenix has no shortage of spots serving it. Kiss Pollos goes straight to the source — bringing Sinaloa‑style grilled chicken to South Central. The meat is marinated in red chile and a proprietary spice blend, grilled until the skin blisters, then chopped fine so every bite carries smoke and depth. The bare‑bones counter‑service setup feels pulled straight from a street corner in Culiacán. Order the chicken by the plate or tuck into tacos, tostadas, or the Flip Taco — a sandwich‑tostada hybrid stacked with beans, cheese, and crisp tortillas. It even offers a fried chicken slider (often just the kids’ or picky‑eaters’ option at taquerías) but here the crust crackles and the meat stays juicy; it’s served with seasoned fries. Then there’s the Kiss Papa: a mound of potatoes piled high with chicken and cheese, alongside warm tortillas. Proof that when grilled chicken is treated with care, smoke, and soul — it doesn’t need to be anything more." - McConnell Quinn

I went for the first time today; it's tucked away with plenty of curbside parking. I had two KISS tacos and a 'flip' taco, the kiss tacos were a generous portion of flavorful chicken and a sprinkle of cheese. I added some of their excellent green salsa and thoroughly enjoyed them! The flip taco had delicious beans and more cheese than the taco had, it was excellent! When I go back, I will try the burrito and maybe a side of beans. The ladies working were very pleasant and welcoming. I love finding these kinds of friendly and delicious places!

A really nice hidden Gem that specializes in chicken! A go to place I like going to for lunch. The sliders are amazing here, the food portion is a really good size I can't finish all of it. The Papa tacos are so good as well, the crunchiness the potatoes give and the red salsa take it to another level! I highly recommend this place!

Great tacos! Very affordable. The salsa bar is always fresh! Pretty sure its family owned bc its got home cooked flavors! Thanks 😊

"Hole in the wall" place in residential neighborhood. Easy ordering online, easy payment, easy parking. Friendly staff AND very tasty tacos. Will be back for more!

It was a nice hidden gem tuck away in a neighborhood. Most may not go because of the area but it is a clean safe area. There were actually 2 caucasian business woman dining alone. So yeah, it's a safe quiet spot. My son and I drove over from Arcadia. First time there. We will be back to try the sliders.

They were recently featured in the Yelp Top 100 tacos in the USA survey a few months ago. It was on my radar, but I'd not yet tried them. I was eating elsewhere the other day, and thumbed through their copy of Bon-Appetit while I waited. I had a cover feature on the popularity, or resurgence of, Tacos. I scanned through that looking for key words Phoenix and Arizona, LOL. KISS was featured there, too! Well now, it's a MUST try. The owner verified that the KISS is what I thought it was. The traditional acronym of Keep It Simple, Stupid. Chicken.....just chicken. There are plenty tables, and it's roomy enough so as not to feel cramped. It's also KISS in that there's no real decor, no distractions of Tv, artwork, etc. So if you dine alone, bring your phone or something to read for stimulation, LOL. A local Spanish language newspaper is available on on the counter. The pollo is grilled, and it's not merely chopped-up, it's minced, very, very fine. You could probably chew it without teeth, LOL. The tacos are street-sized, silver-dollar style. The tostados are a bit larger. But, there was plenty of meat for the two tortillas in each serving if you peel them apart. My fave was the Flip taco. It was like a tostado in sandwhich form, with a cruncy flat tortilla on each side, and the addition of beans with the cheese and chicken. A small, but excellent salsa bar provides the typical toppings of chopped cilantro & onion, shredded (powered) cabbage, pickled red onion, and 3 house salsas. The 'mild' is a delicious tatamada style which was JUST at my tolerance limit. The red-hot and habanero were exactly what'd you'd imagine, favorful, but..ouch. I would point out that the tacos were moist enough that you didn't need any salsa. One of THEE standouts was the chicken slider sandwhich. It's a nice piece of tender fried breast topped with melted white cheese and a bacon-strip. Wings were healthy, but you probably want to be sure you order them with just the rub. I had to wipe-off the hot sauce from mine with napkins, just to be able to eat them LOL. Fries are really good, seasoned with seems like Lawry's salt, but I could be wrong. The rice is a simple, subtle flavor as a side. The beans, I didn't care for as much. They were charro-style, creamy, but just didn't bring the flavor matching the rest of the food. The next time I go I will try a couple of things with the cubed, fried potatoes. Drinks are strictly canned and bottled sodas and water in a cooler. No soda fountain. The only downside is that they close early, like 4pm...and parking is on the curb. It's worth it. Enjoy.

Yelp
I have been to Kiss Pollo Tacos for years and cannot believe I have not reviewed them! They have mastered the art of CONSISTENCY! Every time you order your food, it will always taste the same as the last time you had them. This is a very difficult art to master in food service and they have it down! Kiss Pollo Tacos isn't going to blow you away in the category of aesthetics, but you will always find a clean dining area and a welcoming presence that makes you feel you're in the right place! This is a must have if you have not been yet! I saw on social media that they are struggling financially. I will tell you will not go wrong with giving them a shot, or if it's been a while run back to them and support!!!

Yelp
This was my first time at Kiss Pollos. It is situated on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Yavapai Street. This is a small place but do have an extra room to accommodate more customers. I looked over their small menu but I had decided before hand I was in the mood for chicken tacos as was my son who introduced me to this place. Just so you know every order is not made until they know what you are ordering. They do have a small condiments table so that you put whatever you want on your dish. We waited a few minutes for our orders to get done and once we got our food, I took a bite of my taco I was so pleased with the flavors coming from the chicken taco, even after I added some onions with cilantro and salsa with some lime juices. I was not disappointed by all means. This small place has a charm to it. I can tell that many of their customers are local. They all come here as the prices on their menu are quite inexpensive. Plus the food is delicious and tasty. It never ceases to amaze me how these small eateries have some good tasting food. I will definitely return here.

Yelp
Love this combination of meats, grilled and the hot sauces are the Bomb! You will have no regrets . Yummmmy! Service is always phenomenal

Yelp
We were in the area and checked Yelp for unicorns and found this place. This was great food and the family was really nice.

Yelp
I stopped by here earlier today for lunch. Kiss pollos estilo sinaloa had been bookmarked on my Yelp list of restaurants to try since Yelp had rated it in their top 100 tacos and so I am glad that I was finally able to try it. I used their website to place an order through simple menu the night before and it was confirmed in the morning for 11 AM that day. We arrived shortly before that time and waited in the restaurant for our food to be ready. It actually worked out well since I made a number of to go cups from their accompaniment bar including salsas, hot sauce, pickled onions and limes. Besides the main area with the accompaniment bar there was also a small dining room which could seat around 20 people. Since we were visiting my brother in law, we bought a boatload of food including 10 vampiro tacos, 10 kiss tacos, 5 papa tacos, 5 flip tacos, 2 kiss burritos with cheese, 1 kiss papa with 3 crunchy tostadas, 1 quesadilla and 1 salad. Out of everything we had, the common theme was that almost everything had tortilla, chicken and cheese on it while a few had either beans or potatoes as well. Since it was all made with the same meat and tortillas, most of it tasted very similar to me, but all of it was still very good. My favorite was the kiss burrito as it was filled to the max with both chicken and cheese. That meant that it was a hefty burrito that tasted good and in my opinion was well worth the money. I also enjoyed their salsa verde here which had a little bit of spice and a nice acidity to it which helped cut through the chicken and cheese. My wife's favorite item out of everything was the quesadilla. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. All of the different items that we tried here were good and I thought it was good value for the money.

Yelp
I actually came here five years ago. I was just going through old photos and realized I never did a review for this place. The food was amazing. I got a burrito but do not remember the name of it. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Side note the place is a hole in the wall. I came here when I first moved to AZ. I did not know it was in a very rough neighborhood. If I had know this I wouldn't have brought my kid.

Yelp
This place has been on my list forever and I finally made it out for lunch. (I just wish they would finish with the construction nearby already!!) First, the women working the counter was so friendly and helpful! Like, above and beyond. Some asked about the menu, others at the salsa station and she was just so friendly to all. I too needed help at the salsa station, I asked her if they just had cilantro with no onions mixed in available and she grabbed some in the back and wrapped it for me! I ordered the taco with potato, one with chicken and cheese and one with chicken along with the bean and chicken flat one. I loved the flip taco (bean and chicken) that was prolly my favorite and I definitely would get more next time. I loved the other two chicken as well (added salsa and cilantro, not pictured). My least was the potato one but I guess I'm just not a potato taco kinda person. I will definitely be back to visit!

Yelp
Simple and delicious food at fair prices. This mom and pop small business knows how to make a great taco and their fries are top notch.

Yelp
I couldn't wait to try this place since everything looked so tasty on Yelp. The place is a perfect dive near S Phoenix. The staff were super friendly and the entire place and bathrooms were clean and tidy. I opted for the salad for my first time because it looked unique for a taco place. It's a great salad. Everything was fresh and the combo of greens, cheese, cucumbers, tomato, egg and chicken was fully satisfying. The dressing is great and it's served with two crunchy tortillas. Healthy and delicious. I'll be back.

Yelp
Hole in the wall place but has so much flavor! I love their kiss tacos. My coworkers and I love to order from here for lunch. We can't speak for sit down service but for pick up it's great. It always hits the spot. Don't miss out on delicious chicken tacos and go get some now!
google avatar

Carlos G.

Yelp
Now if you want a cute little snack please come here. If you're hungry like me. Please go to one of the "bertos" to eat. The quesadilla was so small and thin I thought I ordered from the kids menu. For 10 dollars I could make that myself. Only reason why I gave two stars was for the salsa. It's fire. Now that alone is 5 stars. We big girls are still hungry out here after leaving there.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was delicious. I ordered the pollo fries and they were delicious and huge. I'd go there again.

Yelp
Best food in town, the services is amazing. Friendly staff and the vibes are immaculate.

Yelp
Give me all the tacos!! Oh man! They are known for the chicken tacos because well they are one of the best ones I've ever had. Everything we tried was so good! Tacos, chicken fries, sliders, salad I mean my family and I were happy campers. It is located in a neighborhood but they have big sign outside and it's noticeable. Customer service was great, we were a big party and brought our orders out quickly too. I can't wait to go back and have more!
google avatar

Yelp
Had lunch at Kiss Pollos today and everything was sooooo gooood. I got a papa burrito and my husband got the baby boss platter. There's magic in that chicken and the fries weren't just throw away fries you typically get with carne or pollo asada fries, they were crispy and well seasoned. Their salsas are perfect - bright, flavorful, and the hot one had a real nice heat. 5/5 stars, no notes! I wish it was closer to the west valley but we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Delicious! It's a converted house in the hood, it's very good & authentic. Not a large variety of tacos (chicken only) or drinks. Nice little lunch spot & very tasty.
google avatar

Johnny G.

Yelp
This is a diamond in the rough! Hidden down off south Central and Buckeye is the dopest little chicken spot. His tacos are to die for and his chicken wings are brewed up with a special sauce that makes life a little better. Number one on our list is the Slider. The burnt cheese that covers the moist chicken breast sets off the whole sandwich! It's funny that these are called sliders because one of them is super filling!! This is seriously the best chicken in town!

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Very friendly good portions. The salsa bar was clean and full of great salsas. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Great Customer Service. Tacos w/Cheese and all the fixings from the bar =10 Regular Burrito was dry. After adding fixings from bar = 7 Chicken sandwich = 10 w/ Hot sauce they give you =20 French Fries = 5 We Don't like the seasoning on the fries Potato Taco = Won't buy again. Would be good if Potatoes were seasoned. But seasoned with something other then the fries seasoning. The chicken sandwich, Taco w/fixings and Amazing Customer service is the reason for the 5 stars.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is really yummy! My favorite is the salad is my favorite thing to order for lunch. Pricing is economically acceptable. Customer service is super nice and patient.

Yelp
It feel like a helicopter. Or maybe a samurai. Or maybe like that crazy "food network" show.. where everyone is trying to eliminate everyone else. chopped, chopped, chopped. Lol The parking situation, it's a situation. Can't find much of it. The staff was great though. Very helpful. The menu is very simple, awesome. However, I can't seem to find the 5 stars everyone is raving about. It's good stuff, but nothing that was so amazing I'd drive there to get. I have to admit it's a tad bit on the expensive side, given that it's chicken. The portions are relatively ok, and that makes up for a bit of what they have. I also ordered their sliders, and that's where my true 3 star comes from. It doesn't have anything distinct. I was expecting a different experience, something like Lolo's. Not their chicken, but something I'd want to have a comment about. The tacos, also weren't something particularly unique. The salsas, where missing some of the originality that you'd expect of a place that has a 5 star review. Overall it wasn't something I felt I could not find anywhere else. In a pinch I think I'd go back. However you may want to try it. Let me know.
google avatar

Danielle R.

Yelp
I was searching for affordable authentic tacos during my errand running. I saw this place had five stars. I would agree. The only slight critique is that the tacos wrapped in parchment paper were greasy despite them being chicken. I loved the Kiss taco and the Flip taco. Both were amazing. I recommend both. I saw the fries on Yelp and had to try them. As you can see you get a huge serving. I loved them, they're amazing and I'll have leftover fries forever lol. I'd definitely come back and already told a friend.
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
I ordered a regular burrito. This is a burrito in a flour tortilla with chopped chicken, rice, and beans. It was amazing, and wonderfully spiced. Utterly fantastic. I showed up here because at the time, there were 237 Yelp reviews, and the place had five stars. Now that grabs my attention. They deserve all those five-star reviews. Oh, and the people were really nice too. Definitely recommended. Small charming neighborhood place with outdoor seating and a some indoor seating as well.

Rob M.

Yelp
Outstanding authentic Mexican food. Great service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Ethikha R.

Yelp
Went inside and asked the cashier for a carne asada burrito only to find out they only had chicken. Was not disappointed! Burrito was very yummy.
google avatar

Billy B.

Yelp
They keep it stupid simple. Great and forward menu/selection. Order at the counter when you walk in, help yourself at the self serve salsa and condiment station, then find your seat in the room next door. Hurry to the table or else your food will be ready before you. They are quick to fulfill orders. I've had the tacos, burrito, and quesadilla--super affordable. Super tasty. The chopped chicken is perfect, the sprinkle of pork on the top really compliments each bite. The burrito is very filling and 99% made up of protein. Tacos are piled on as well. Quesadilla oozes with cheese. Decor and location are lacking but who cares! Totally worth it for the price and quality of food.

Yelp
I found myself in this part of town unsure of what the food scene was like. My trusted yelp app brought me to this place.. no lie I missed my turn because it looked like a residential street.. I circled the block & found it located next to a corner store The cashier was super friendly and literally explained the whole menu to me.. she showed me a frame with a picture and article of the pollo salad.. even though the vampiro tostadas sounded amazing I went with the salad I was pleased to receive a huge, fresh, crunchy salad.. it barely fit in the container .. lots of finely chopped chicken, cucumber, lemony pico de Gallo and egg.. with a green creamy dressing. I could not finish this salad This hole in the wall is not fancy but they put out good food and the service is top notch On my way out a new cashier asked how everything was .. and she sounded sincere like she really wanted to make sure I enjoyed my meal.. next time I'm in the area I will be back for some of those chicken & pork street tacos
google avatar

Yelp
Great little authentic Mexican place off the beaten path. I would've never known about it until my boss told me it's a must try. I tried the kiss taco and the flip taco and shared a plate of fries with chicken and cheese. Everything was really good but my favorite was the flip taco. I love the layer of beans and all the cheese. The tortillas had the perfect amount of crisp. We each got 2 tacos, the fries, and a coke bottle for less than $25. Check it out!

Yelp
Bomb food. It's our normal Wednesday stop. Yup, we are here just about every week! We enjoy their food so much along with the staff they are awesome. We've tried : kiss, flip, papa taco. The papas and burritos. The quesadillas. EVERYTHING IS BOMB!

Joti S.

Yelp
my favorite taco shop in arizona! best chicken tacos in the state and i stand by that! service is always nice and fairly quick. dining room has limited tables but i haven't had an issue when choosing to dine in. this is a staple for me and return as frequently as i can!
google avatar

Richard Y.

Yelp
This place is in a neighborhood. I ran into this place by accident one day . The servings were a pretty good size! I had a chicken burrito, that was a good size! My only complaint was that , to me the chicken was a little on the dry side. They do dice the chicken really , really small so that may have contributed to it being dry. The salsas had a really good taste! It's a small place with a few tables , but they do get busy!!!! I guess the only way to judge this place is to go and try it for yourself!!!! I may go back one day if I'm in that area!!!! Didn't really leave a big impression on me !!!!! Mahalo!!!!

Yelp
I was recommended this place from the girls at the medical office I was rotating at so I decided to give it a try. The location is on a small side street next to an elementary school. If it's busy out, it may possibly be hard to park. They have one table out front for seating otherwise there is plenty of seating inside. I came here already knowing that I wanted the salad. Checking in, you get a free kiss taco. This is the least I have ever paid for the largest salad with all the the fixings. The salad was so large I actually had to transfer it to a mixing bowl so I could eat it. The salad had tons of different toppings (pico de gallo, shredded cheese, cucumber, crispy tortilla, and slices of boiled egg) and came with a ton of chopped chicken. The meat was a little on the salty side but it was really flavorful and delicious. There was so much meat in the salad that I still had a ton leftover after eating all the lettuce and other toppings. The salad came with a cilantro dressing. The dressing tasted whatever by itself but mixed in with the salad, it was perfect and really helped blend all the flavors together in perfect harmony. Overall, a pretty solid salad. It's not the best salad I have ever had, but it was really good. The kiss taco was delicious and it too was super cheap! The taco comes with meat (chicken and pork) and cheese, but they have a salsa bar where you can get onion, cilantro, green onion, cabbage, lime, etc to add on top of the taco. The taco is street taco sized, so you will need multiples to make a meal. The meat in the street taco wasn't salty at all. It was perfectly seasoned. The hot salsa they make there has a nice smokey hint to it. I ate my taco in the car while I was driving and really regret not putting the salsa on it. Next time, I will and I will also try a burrito.
google avatar

Rafael R.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick simple but delicious taco. The meat is seasoned properly with soft tortillas to boot. The salsa bar is small but they have enough variety to be good. The service is fast at the counter and they'll make recommendations if you ask. The prices are on par with the quality. Location makes it a destination with adds to the city charm. I loved the chicken quesadilla. The kiss taco and vampiro taco has roasted corn which was a nice addition. The pico left a little to desire but that's the only complaint.
google avatar

Keith C.

Yelp
Update........they raised the prices and the Kiss tacos are now over $2each. Still tasty, but not a super deal anymore.
google avatar

Corinna C.

Yelp
Ordered pickup for lunch and appreciated the way that my food was prepared. Tacos were wrapped in paper so tightly that my food was still hot when we arrived home! Chicken was juicy and potatoes were just the right amount of crunch!
google avatar

Jerrod K.

Yelp
Love this place. They make one thing great: chicken, grilled over a wood (I think?) fire. Then they make stuff out of it. Burritos, tacos, salads, etc. So good! Awesome salsa bar, too.
google avatar

Gordon S.

Yelp
Amazing Tacos, the tortillas are incredible, the chicken was perfectly prepared. The price is very reasonable. Definitely will come back and try the burrito next time I am in the area. Not a fancy place by any means but definitely worth trying if you want some really good tacos!!!
google avatar

Bryan S.

Yelp
Everyone needs to add this restaurant to their TACO TUESDAY LIST! I decided to come to this place in the projects based on all the good things I kept hearing from my peers. The tacos are inexpensive and very delicious! Even the tortillas itself was surprisingly good. If I had to go back, I would order more of the kiss tacos for sure! What really surprised me was their salsas! They had different levels of spicy and each were extremely flavorful. Can't wait to try this place again
google avatar

Christy T.

Yelp
This is a super hole-in-the-wall chicken tacos place tucked around the corner of a residential neighborhood. There's a good amount of street parking and while it seemed like it got pretty busy at lunch, most people were getting to-go so there's definitely some open seats. Really simple, well-cooked, seasoned chicken tacos! Their salsa/toppings bar has a great selection and their spicy red salsa is amazing! I tried the vampiro and kiss tacos which are chicken tacos sprinkled with pork and it was great! They have a papas taco too which is topped with potato wedges. Overall a quick, cheap lunch taco spot tucked away in Phoenix.

Yelp
My boyfriend's coworker recommend we check this place out. We are taco lovers so it wasn't an option not to go. I'm so glad we did!! Street parking only and the building is small, but there are big flavors waiting inside. We did takeout which is our favorite way to dine. I'm not going to lie, when I first reviewed the menu I just wasn't impressed. Imagine my surprise when I actually ate! The chicken quesadilla is almost my favorite quesadilla I have ever had!! There was a ton of chicken and omg the chicken was amazing. It was chopped style and I had tons in every bite. The tostada was also a winner. The was so crispy and crunchy, I enjoyed every bite. The taco of course was bomb. The tortilla tasted pretty fresh and I feel like that can make or break a taco. The salsa options were plentiful and ranged from mild to pretty dang out. The green salsa was mild but omg had such an amazing flavor. If you find yourself looking at the menu and not thrilled with so many chicken options please don't let that stop you from visiting! I promise you one bite and you'll change your mind

Ted D.

Yelp
Great food, fast and at decent prices. The people are nice also. Tacos are tasty especially with all the stuff they provide for us to add. Burros are filling and good. I think about the other stuff but have been happy with just those. The salad is reportedly very good and ample. . . someday. The salsas cover various levels from mild to hot. The red hot is just this smoky goodness that makes me happy. Two thumbs up for this place!
google avatar

Chelsie H.

Yelp
Small menu, but delicious food. I ordered my hubby and I a chicken burrito! Solid, filling, just wish there was pico de gallo. Anyways, not a great neighborhood, but good food and homemade tortilla always makes a place great in my book.

Yelp
If you weren't explicitly looking for it, you'd miss this tiny restaurant on the corner that serves some awesome chicken tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and more. They keep it simple here, with your choice of taco/burrito filling being chicken, chicken with pork, or chicken with potatoes. My favorite is the kiss (chicken with pork) either in taco or burrito form. The tacos are a good starting point, as I tried one of each taco when I first came. The burrito is a hefty, filled-to-the-brim pillow of pure chicken joy and will be one of my go-to orders from here on out. This thing is seriously stuffed with meat and you'll get your money's worth. Their pollo fries are also a meal themselves with the amount that you get. The fries are nice and crispy with some seasoning on them and a mountain of chicken, beans, and cheese on top. I personally would skip the quesadilla as it didn't have the thick gooey-ness that I was looking for and it didn't have as much meat as the other options. Food comes out quickly and the service has always been friendly. The salsa bar appears to always be stocked, although it's a bit of a hassle trying to grab a little bit of everything in the little cups that they provide. They also have Mexican versions of some sodas in the glass bottles in the fridge which are a great complement to the delicious food. Don't forget to check in so you can get your free taco as well! You'll want to tell/show them first thing when you order instead of at the end - I learned the hard way, but it's worth it for a free taco.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS A GEM! We are so happy we stopped in. Super friendly and kind staff. The vampiro tacos are the crispiest, most delicious we have ever had. The Kiss tacos are awesome too. Can't wait to come back. DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE BY. It's worth the stop!

Damn these tacos are so damn good. Perfect size. Great price. Fast and hot. So yummy. We took an uber here because it wasn't near a whole lot of touristy stuff and it was a cute little place. The guy working made great recommendations and we both ordered 2-3 tacos and felt great. They were some of the best tacos I've ever had and I definitely recommend stopping by!!

Yelp
I've had tacos and burritos from at least a hundred spots in the Southwest, but every now and then the Valley of the Sun will surprise me. Everyone likes to rep where they come from, but often times diners can't tell the difference. So many cooks talk about their state while making the same food everyone else does. I haven't consulted the Sinaloenses in my life about what good grilled chicken is, but I'll give Kiss Pollos the benefit of the doubt and say they're the real deal. The core of the menu is grilled, finely chopped, and perfectly grille chicken piled on anything you could want. You want it on a salad for a low-carb option? You got it. You want it on grilled potatoes? Done. Fries? Absolutely. So far I've tried their signature tacos, which are chicken topped with melted cheese and crumbled pork, which adds an additional kick. They were amazing, especially with the thick, hot red salsa (de arbol?). The burritos are nothing to scoff at, either. They are a generous, filling portion, and I recommend the one with potatoes, chicken, and beans. You can of course order items without meat so they have just beans and/or potatoes. I am certain they will still be delicious! This place is such a gem, and the only thing I'm left wanting are longer hours to get my fix.

Yelp
I'm always down with some grilled chicken. A quick Yelp search of "pollo" pulled this place up. I browsed through the pictures and saw that they had an awesome looking pollo salad. As most of you know, I am pretty much allergic to vegetables. I never buy them, rarely eat them, and generally, we aren't the best of friends. BUT....when you throw them together with some meat in a salad, I am no longer allergic to them and actually enjoy a good salad every now and then. I was near this area today, and decided to stop by. I walked inside and was greeted by a man (super family run joint) who took my order. I went with the "KISS Salad". Paid the man my money (just over $7.00), grabbed some salsas from the salsa bar (great selection btw...pickled onions, green onions, cucumber, radish, 3 kinds of salsas etc) and took a seat in their dining room. A few minutes later, my salad was placed in front of me. Here is how it was................ KISS Salad- This thing looked awesome! I don't know if I have seen a prettier salad. It was presented extremely well. This salad came with a ton of cucumbers, chicken, shredded cheese and pico de gallo. This is laid on top of a mixed field greens blend salad and comes with a little cup of avocado/ranch type dressing on the side. The salad usually comes with a hard boiled egg, but they were out of eggs today (no biggie...probably my least favorite item of the bunch, even if it was included...didn't miss it one bit). The guy who bought out my salad apologized and said that they stuffed it a little bit fatter with the other ingredients. Fine by me! The salad comes with 2 fried corn tortillas, too. I had one bite of it and it was great. Didn't eat them though (low carb issues ;-) lol). I got some of my cups of salsas dumped them on the salad along with the dressing, mixed it up a bit and went to town! Everything was delicious! The dressing and salsas coated everything perfectly. They added some coolness and creaminess (avocado ranch) as well as some heat (salsas) to the salad. The cucumbers and tomatoes were incredibly fresh and tasty. The mound of chicken they top this with was grilled to perfection and then hacked up into small pieces. It made it so that every single bite of salad had some chicken in it. Kind of reminded me of bacon bits almost. It was great! I woofed down that salad in record time. Flavors were perfect and I can't remember the last time I had a better salad. Yeah, it was that good! I was definitely impressed and will make my way back here possibly next week. Once my low carb diet restrictions are done with, I hope to try out their tacos and other offerings. This place is a small, family run joint, that is pumping out great food. Can't wait to try out the rest of their menu!
