Kit

I commissioned a ballgown from Kit in 2019, but the project was delayed due to lockdowns. Paid $250. for a fabric deposit. Not a big deal, especially because I got pregnant around that time too. We agreed to restart the project when I was back to the size I wanted to be. Earlier this year, I contacted them to restart the project. Crickets. I have emailed. I have called. Nothing. They have just vanished taking my $250 with them. I told them, I would be happy to continue to work with them or they can just send me the fabric they purchased and I could have someone else finish the project. I don't know what else to do. It's like they stole by $250 and are hoping I'll go away. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

Kit is my go-to for everyday luxury that lasts for years and years. I've been buying dresses and garments from Kit since they launched, and was lucky enough to work with them for my bridesmaids dresses -- which I loved so much, that I ordered one for myself, too! (And have worn many times). My most recent purchase is the one maternity dress I routinely get compliments on (every other maternity dress I've gotten from an off-the-rack retailer is either a bit shapeless or a bit bleh). I love that I always have the option to have my Kit garments altered or repaired free of charge, and that the garments are made to fit my measurements, even when my waist size goes from normal to third trimester. The team truly cares about every single piece they create and the prints and fabrics are like nothing else you can find on the market. I'm a Kit fan for life!

Everything I've had made by them holds a special place in my heart - and it fits like a glove. And speaking of heart, the entire company switched gears during to pandemic to make masks and gowns for hospitals all over the country. They have my business and should have yours!

I reached out to KIT because I was having a hard time finding a 7th grade cotillion dress that was well made, would arrive on time, was appropriate for a 7th grader, and what my daughter wanted (no frills). I found KIT through a google search and I’m so glad I did! I was able to provide pictures of what I wanted, a description of the type of fabric and color my daughter wanted. It took but a few days to make and the quality is second to none. Shipping was fast, but we are in north TX. I was worried about the measurements I took because I am NOT a seamstress, but their experts realized where I was a little off and made the necessary updates. You shouldn’t be worried about using them if you are not in the Houston area. I cannot be happier with the results and look forward to using them again in the future.

I have several garments from Kit. The customer service is wonderful and Merin’s team is a pleasure to work with. They are willing to work with you to make sure the clothes you get are customized exactly how you want them and fit you perfectly - my Kit clothes are truly staples in my closet. Highly recommend!!
